Starting point is 00:01:21 it's time to catch up with Sheena Shea. This is Shenanigans. And now, here's your host, Sheena Shea. Well, well, well. How we doing, honey? Surviving. Post Coachella podcast. So, how was your weekend? Are we just going to dive straight into the weekend or are we going to do an intro? What do you want to do? Tell everybody what's going on? This is the intro. We're post Coachella. We're getting into some shenanigans.
Starting point is 00:02:08 We're back at home in San Diego. We're going to talk about our weekend and answer a lot of questions that came in. Well, I do like your post that you made actually. What post? The post you posted. Your comment. What do you call it when you post a post and you have a caption?
Starting point is 00:02:24 Your caption for your last post. The neon carnival one no the uh our love languages festivals yeah yeah yeah that one was cool because it is our love language is it's a time where i get to like step down and step away from all the stress i put myself under and then just enjoy myself and yeah it's a great time to remember that i'm surrounded by great people amazing people and i just want to let them know that i appreciate them because i know for a fact on my day-to-day i don't walk around and tell people how much i appreciate them no your guard is definitely down at festivals you're just all the the love bombs you were dropping on everybody i loved it it was fun i mean it was it was overdue what was that our second festival since this like 20 the 19 pandemic like our second real that was our first real
Starting point is 00:03:13 festival yeah because even life is beautiful we didn't go day three no we left early and then anything else we've done like the little crossed or blended has just been one or two days so this was our first full festival well we had some ups and downs what do you mean it started pretty hot and then well yeah you know friends and significant others fighting and being in the middle of that i think it just comes with like you're with a group so there's your feelings are out of your control there's a lot out of your control when there's the bigger the group gets and then you're trying to like hang out with everybody and see what everyone's doing and it's kind of like whatever and i think we learned
Starting point is 00:03:57 on day two that we just said whatever we're doing us and that's all that we care about and we're the best night day two yeah and i think we've now figured out how to do coachella next year even better you know have two drivers two drivers so we can go when we want to go they can go when they want to go and you leave whenever you that is that's the biggest issue about festivals especially coachella and like these bigger festivals the amount of people that are going to the location. Yeah. It becomes really frustrating and a nightmare. We had a great driver. We had a great setup.
Starting point is 00:04:32 We're not telling anybody our driver setup because he has it down pat. That is our secret. It's like, that's the one punishment about like, you know, partying all day, having some fun and then getting stuck trying to figure out how to get home. I know.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Like your boy, Kale. Oh my God. he was stranded at neon carnival his phone and his friends he was with got pickpocketed during one of the sets so they didn't have phones and it was a nightmare and then with the poor guy was trying to leave for an hour and a half and all the ubers kept canceling on him right well because like i think our friends were calling ubers for him because he didn't have a phone yeah so then it was like um bro the car's not gonna be here for 40 minutes like i'm not just gonna wait here with you and then everyone was just like throwing cash
Starting point is 00:05:13 at drivers so thankfully our driver was like you give me 150 cash i'll take you home and i was like my boy dude i'm sorry like i it is what it is it is what it is. It is what it is, brother. So. Well, hey, we survived, honey. We made some memories. Survived. It was a very fun weekend. I know some people had some opinions about. Honey, they're always going to have opinions. You know this, right?
Starting point is 00:05:38 Yeah. Like. Why are you not surprised? Megan J417 wants to know. Put her on blast. Well, she sent a question in Why would you choose Coachella Over your daughter's first Easter
Starting point is 00:05:50 A Didn't even know it was Easter When we bought these tickets Two fucking years ago B You didn't even grow up really celebrating Easter Wait so her question was Why would we choose a festival over our
Starting point is 00:06:05 daughter's first Easter? Well, our daughter decided to leave us, actually, and go to a one-year-old's birthday party. Also, Brittany and Jags decided to have Cruises, I mean, it's his birthday, you know, but they decided to have his party the weekend before his birthday and
Starting point is 00:06:21 said, or was it? No, it was the weekend after and said it the weekend before. Yeah, because his birthday was it? No, it was the weekend after instead of the weekend before. Yeah. Cause his birthday was like midweek. So that she realized she texted me. She was like, Oh my God, I just realized Cruz's birthday is on Coachella. And you're probably my only friend who's going to Coachella. And I was like, yeah, we've had tickets for a couple years now and we're definitely going to Coachella. But my mom and dad, who are keeping Summer at the house with us, they're like, look, why don't we leave Saturday morning? We'll take Summer to Cruz's party and then we'll bring her back Sunday. And I thought that was a great idea because we've
Starting point is 00:06:57 had these tickets. I mean, they were what? $1,100 a pop. I mean, we've had this that we've been looking forward to for years. And like my caption said, our love language is festivals and Easter is not something that is an important holiday to you growing up. I mean, I did. I liked Easter as a kid. And as summer grows up, we will obviously celebrate Easter with her. but my family also celebrates holidays on Saturdays before and after. So my family was getting together on Saturday, which we couldn't do anyways, because we were going to Coachella. We weren't going to only go Friday. So what we're doing actually is celebrating Easter this week. Okay. Let me cut you off real quick, honey.
Starting point is 00:07:44 Why are people so offended if we want to celebrate easter with our child on a day that works for the family right so that's how i was raised like my mother my dad my mom we were a split family like my mom always worked on christmas and so we just like last year my mom did christmas and these events like two weeks beforehand because that's the one time the family can get together. It annoys me that people are like, that annoys me that people are like, you have to go ahead and have this for this day. It's like, well, can't you just, you're more than welcome to spend that time with your family, however you like. But throughout the whole year, always treasure your kids and always have those memories with them.
Starting point is 00:08:19 And yeah, I'm sorry. She wanted to go to a one-year-old's birthday. She had a ball and we had plans. So then we just rain checked to this week and you hooked it up. Yeah. So we were inspired actually. daughter and I'm like oh my god we're totally copying you so I went on Amazon and I ordered a plus size bunny costume because I'm like do they come in double XL and then I saw a plus size one I was like oh this is perfect for you because then also I'm like I don't even know if you know with COVID I know it was different with like Santa Claus this year and stuff like I don't even know
Starting point is 00:09:00 if the Easter bunny is still at the mall to get her photo but I'm like I want a photo with her and the Easter bunny you know for her first Easter so Brock is going to be the Easter bunny Brock's mom is flying into town tomorrow all the way from Australia she finally gets to meet her granddaughter spend some time with us I could cry I'm not gonna cry um so we're gonna celebrate with um the fam this week and Brock's gonna to be the Easter bunny. And it is what it is because you know what? That works for us. Yeah. I feel like that was a long story short of like whatever works for your family works for your family. You know what I should have done? Lala's answer on Watch What Happens
Starting point is 00:09:34 Live. Why would you choose Coachella over your daughter's first Easter? Because we can. I mean, that's the thing. Like everybody can, like these dates that we put on it. Anyway, I object. It is what it is as long as we're with our family and uh you know if you only spoil your kids and spend one day one time a year with your kids for easter or special events then well done parent of the year yeah yeah so do better yeah
Starting point is 00:09:55 chelsea's tea wanted to know if we went to cruz's birthday or just summer so summer went with her nana her nana and her opa and opa they took her and she had a blast so get this oh my gosh she's in the ball pit with our friend jenna's two sons and she is all over these boys she does this thing that we call sweet baby when she just like lays her head on you and cuddles you and they were so cute they were so sweet with her but she just kept hugging them and laying and being sweet baby on them and then she was standing there and i was like oh honey you're not gonna like this i'm like well first of all she's standing on her own like this is something that she's just started like the last week she's standing on her own and then she's cuddling these boys in the ball pit and it was just the cutest thing ever it was as soon as i
Starting point is 00:10:44 realized that that was my little girl because she does that to me and i was like you do that with daddy you don't what are you doing and i see the video of her cutting putting her fingers in the boy's mouth like poking their faces and talking to him i'm like wow but it was a great day she had fun and yeah uh wow that those parties yeah shout out to who's who's who's setting those parties up so shout out to we have adriana who is our group party planner oh my god she's the best thank you very much amazing no it wasn't from katie teddy oh yeah use your headphones i said katie i was like what no yeah so teddy mellencamp gave us her party planners info she did oceans party she did cruises she's doing summers and she is amazing i will absolutely be
Starting point is 00:11:32 posting her her company tagging all the companies we're working with because this party's about to be lit i mean i just saw cruises she does one thing and that's kids parties very very well yeah even ocean we've got we've got ocean as an air freshener hanging from the car i know i sent pictures in of summer from her one year shoot and she's making some like things with her face on it too perfect faces everywhere yeah so yeah i was so glad though that my parents offered to take summer because those parties really you know for the kids to be able to get together and play is just so much fun so i was glad that you know we gotta do our festival we had our daughter there for three out of the four nights we were in palm springs and then we had our one night of neon carnival parents night out where we got to let a little loose and
Starting point is 00:12:19 it was fun it was so much fun. What? I couldn't agree more. I was speechless. That's why I didn't say anything just then. I'm still feeling the effects of so much fun. Yeah. So the next question about Coachella that came in was from Christina Dates underscore 92.
Starting point is 00:12:42 She wanted to know who we were most excited to see. Mine was Harry Styles and the fact that Shania Twain came out with him right when we heard the I was like, I just thought he was doing a cover and I was like, and then we heard it again and then she came out and oh my God, iconic. The guy behind
Starting point is 00:13:02 us lost his mind. Literally. Like he was already like tripping balls and then it was like oh my god it was so funny what was your what was another one you enjoyed watching was that about it because to be honest i don't even know who we're watching half the time yeah i mean there were like artists like i knew like i knew of but that's the thing like honestly when i go to these festivals i just enjoy being with my friends being in the environment and just like watching the music i don't even usually care who it is we're seeing because there's never anyone that i'm like oh my god i'm a diehard fan like i need to see them usually i would go to an individual concert if it's someone like that but like harry
Starting point is 00:13:40 styles love him been to several one direction concerts with my sister back in the day so that one i was genuinely excited to see the rest i was like if we make it we make it if we don't we're having a good time with our friends then that's fine yeah and that's the best way i personally think to do festivals because you also don't like getting into the crowd either you know god no keep me in vip please wow i don't like being in the middle of a crowd and getting pushed and shoved. And it's not for me. Yeah, no, it doesn't work. So going, not really having an agenda, not being like, I have to be there by exactly
Starting point is 00:14:17 5.05 for this set list and get a good spot. Like, that's just stressful. Like, seeing my sister stressed over getting there at a certain time to see a certain band, I was like, I mean, I'm sorry, we're going to be late. Well, you know what we're going to do next time. And this is, this is amateur hour, but we always just do that. We, we fall around. We ended up walking into the dome. Remember that? Yeah. And just like, what's the time? And we're walking over to this tent. We're like, Oh, here we go. Sweaty hot tent. Let's see what this is. We walk in full blown air conditioner, full roof projections and it's an absolute trip.
Starting point is 00:14:48 So good. So we're going to have to, next time, we have to be aware of that, like especially like Stoich Coach coming up, right? I want to make sure we go there through the day
Starting point is 00:14:55 and have some time to eat the food, enjoy the experiences as well that are around there because that's what they're there for. There's so many experiences. I think if you just go there
Starting point is 00:15:02 and stand in the crowd, like you miss out on all the other stuff, which is what we just did this weekend. I know. But it was fun. But we had so much fun with our friends. It was so much fun.
Starting point is 00:15:10 It was so much fun. I think I love-bombed everybody. You did. I saw another question that came in from Ledes underscore. And they said, did you hang out with Ariana? Did not see any pics with her. We were with Ariana all of Friday, all of Sunday, and we vlogged so much. I did get some pics with her on day three.
Starting point is 00:15:30 So I haven't posted day three yet, but I will. But we were with her almost the whole time. Saturday day, we were with Will and Elaine. So we didn't see Ariana Saturday day, but then we were with her all night at Neon. So you'll see her on the vlog for sure. No, we had fun with everybody. I like the rumor going around that what was it uh raquel was caught making out with tom schwartz i was like schwartz
Starting point is 00:15:51 wasn't even there a lot of questions came in and asked about tom schwartz and raquel and then someone else christina dates underscore 92 also she wanted to know was Raquel on a date with Brock's friend? Oh no. Stay tuned. Oh no. Look, it looked like they were on a date because they wore the exact, they wore pink.
Starting point is 00:16:16 They wore the pink hats. I could not get over the fact that they met that day and their outfits were so perfectly coordinated down to the pink hat the pink detail in both of their outfits was the exact same pink look um they looked good together but let's let's relax on saying they went on a date together they met at the festival i was with my friends they were there we went for a walk okay let's not start any more rumors but let's
Starting point is 00:16:43 just put that one to bed Tom Schwartz was not there He was not there We saw Katie Yeah And we saw Dana Dana But we didn't see Tom Schwartz
Starting point is 00:16:51 So nobody was making out with Schwartz Okay No He was probably making out with somebody else Or if he was making out with somebody Who was tall And had short hair It was not Raquel
Starting point is 00:16:59 Talking about short hair honey How about your hair babe It is fire You got it cut You feeling good i am anna too wanted to know if i do my own glam hair and makeup for coachella so thank you honey i think first of all one of the reasons my hair has been looking so good is not just the cut but it's definitely from the neutrophfol that I have been taking for,
Starting point is 00:17:26 I think I'm going on, oh my God, my sixth month now. Oh yeah. That stuff came in. Yeah. And your hair looks great. Yeah. Thanks, honey. So yeah, you've seen me post about it on Instagram and talk about it on my podcast. And that's because I'm obsessed with Nutrafol and it actually, actually works. They say it takes three to six months and I can tell you I'm in my fifth or sixth month and I have

So they are also the number one dermatologist recommended hair growth supplement clinically shown to improve your hair growth, thickness, and visible scalp coverage. So you just get the most reliable results. In a clinical study, 86% of women reported improved hair growth after six months. And I can tell you, I'm in less than six months. Starting point is 00:19:41 So yeah, Nutrafol has definitely been helping my hair, but also my sister is my hairstylist. So for festivals, she's so good at doing hair that I'm like, okay, I want this look. The first day though, I did go to that gifting suite thing where they did my French braids and curled my hair. And then the second day she did my twisties and then the third day we did the hair gems so i do my own makeup my sister does my hair i do not have glam but um maybe one day glam squad that would be fun to have a glam squad for a festival that's a lot of effort i mean it is but then it's also like less you have to worry about yeah fickle yeah evy lynn underscore d wants to know if there was any drama did we run into james and his new girlfriend did anybody see james none of us saw him we never ran
Starting point is 00:20:33 into him and then i told ariana we should definitely meet up with him on sunday but then i guess he left early oh yeah because i mean it wasn't for the lack of looking but i mean we were around the places but we just obviously were in different places. Yeah. Here's the thing. How many people go to Coachella? There were so many people there that you couldn't, like, yeah. It looked like he had a fun time.
Starting point is 00:20:52 He posted there and they were having fun doing their thing. Yeah. But no, we didn't run into him. I don't think the only drama that came from that weekend was the rumors of Raquel making out with Schwartz. Yeah. And I'm like. Because that wasn't there. What other drama happened? He wasn't making out with Schwartz. Yeah. And I'm like, because that wasn't,
Starting point is 00:21:05 that wasn't there. Is it? What other drama? It wasn't there. That was it. Yeah. There really wasn't any drama. It was just fun.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Yeah. It was, I think it was a good time for everybody to go out there, let loose. It's been a minute and it was a great bonding experience for everybody too. Definitely. Ariel underscore. Cezoranese said,
Starting point is 00:21:23 can you give, what was that again? What was that? Cezoranese said, can you give dates on your hairstyles and outfits from Coachella, please? So I pretty much wore. That was for me. I made the details on your hair. Well, actually, I got it done by the braid girl at the pool shop. You did. When we were at the pool shop.
Starting point is 00:21:43 When we were at the pool club. The pool party. The pool shop. You did. When we were at the pool shop. When we were at the pool party. The pool party. There was a braid lady over there. Ended up lining up and then took me like 40 minutes and then ended up getting a Dutch braid. Yeah. With some clip-ins.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I love braids for festivals. It's like my favorite way to do my hair. It's good. So yeah, as I said, sis did my hair. All of my outfits. So I did a lot of white fox. My day one was white Fox day two was white Fox neon carnival was white Fox with some IMG pants. And then day three, I was doing a different
Starting point is 00:22:13 white Fox outfit. But on the first day, when I went to this gifting suite and got my hair done, Oh, Polly had some really dope sparkly outfits that they were gifting. And I was like, I think I need to do that. So that was my day three. So a gifting suite is where brands go ahead and connect with like influencers or people of influence and they just want you to wear their clothes. Yeah. They want you to tag their company. So they're like, here, we'll give you some free clothes, you know, please tag us on Instagram. And then that obviously gets the brand exposure. That's like how they market, you know, you don't see commercials for white Fox for Oh, Polly or princess Polly or, you know, ASOS or whatever. It's so crazy. Like how the world's going now,
Starting point is 00:22:58 like with this influencer thing, it's so cool. Yeah. Everyone's their own brand we had some awesome gifting suites leading up to coachella with a cld with pretty little thing with white fox it was it was a good time so those were my my outfit deets well my outfit deets were what it was i wearing you shopped in joey's closet jay one day one i was wearing joey's outfit day two i wore the australian no that was yeah the australian brand front runner front runner yep and then we ended up going with joey's closet again and then friday was sunday was joey's closet because i had to match you thanks joey for, for the outfits. Yep. Why don't I get gifting suites? I can't walk into a gifting suite and look for double next house.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I did get you. Actually, the shirt you're wearing, I got at the Boohoo gifting suite. There was also a Boohoo one. I couldn't wear it because it didn't work with your outfit, remember? But that's true. We needed to coordinate our outfits for photos. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Wait.
Starting point is 00:23:59 We need to back it up and address this other rumor from Rachel of three to one. Someone said you skipped Cruz's birthday because you don't trust Brock alone. I don't know if that means in general or at a festival. Well, apparently there's a rumor online that I don't trust you alone at festivals. Me alone at festivals. I mean, I wouldn't trust myself alone at festivals either,
Starting point is 00:24:22 but I think, I think if, if I took for that rumor, Sheena is very worried about everything. And so I do put a lot of pressure on you. But I think you're learning more and more that when we first started, honey, I couldn't leave the house with my kid. What do you mean worried about everything? You worry about everything. I think, well, first, let's back it up.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Because I think we need to clarify what you just said, that you wouldn't trust yourself. Because people will hear that and think that you would cheat on me at a festival if you were by yourself. That's where people's brains go. No, I think, I don't know. I don't know if people's brains are there, but they got to understand that like the reason why you don't trust me at a festival is because I like to party a lot at festivals. Okay. Here's the best part about like being in a happy relationship. You lose your marbles.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Exactly. festivals. Okay. Here's the best part about like being in a happy relationship. You lose your marbles. I can, exactly. Being in a happy relationship means that I can do everything else a hundred percent because I know what I'm coming home to. I know what is here for me. And that gives me the ability to commit to other things at a hundred percent. And if that's partying at a festival, or if that's committing to work and everything I want to do, I can do that. So I don't, I don't take it like that. I also think people do see, honey, as your character, as you are very kind of like worried about things. And so when it unsettles you, you don't like to be unsettled much. You don't like to be like how I – you like to be prepared.
Starting point is 00:25:39 You like to be planned. You like to be on top of it and prepared for all situations. I don't think i don't think uh you know at the beginning when we had a kid we knew how that to handle that and now we're finding our balance and we as we start running you agree yeah another you don't talk about it more what that i i'm going to i'm gonna go to into this question then i'm gonna get into that more because another question that came in was from all underscore Holland, who said, were you able to actually let loose and have fun without worrying about summer? So yes, I do worry a lot. And one of the things that I'm going to do
Starting point is 00:26:16 to help with that worry is I'm starting therapy. Update from the conversation last week. I know I told you guys about Talkspace, which is amazing for therapy. But finally, the waitlist I've been on for the therapist I want, it is my time. And I have my first appointment. She does EMDR. She's also a mom. I am so excited to start therapy because I don't want to worry as much as I do. I think a little bit of worry obviously is healthy. And as a mom, as a parent, you're going to worry for the rest of your life. But I don't want it to consume my daily thoughts. I was able to let loose this weekend
Starting point is 00:26:57 and enjoy myself knowing that my daughter was obviously in the best hands with my parents. I was not worried about her, but I just, I do worry and hopefully some therapy and some EMDR will help that. I'm glad you found the therapist that you want to talk to because I do think that it will help you learn to not, not, not care, but help you compartmentalize and break down like the issues that you need to actually worry about as opposed to worrying about breathing or you know what i mean like you stand
Starting point is 00:27:30 over summer and you will just watch her breathe yeah and even if there's a monitor that tells us that she's breathing you won't believe it you'll be like i don't know if she's breathing and it's gotten a lot better over the time and you're getting better so i'm glad that you're taking this time for yourself yeah and especially this extra time that we're not doing you're not we're not doing anything down here you can relax and really work on yourself so i'm here for you honey thanks honey love you i love you good work there was a fist bump in between that if you guys can't see that which you can't malena pal 24 wants to know if I was able to pump while at Coachella. Able to pump?
Starting point is 00:28:09 She was giving out breast milk shots. Yeah. And apparently people were like offended by that on my YouTube. I don't know. People are going to get offended. By anything I do. By me drinking water because kids have to walk miles to get water. If you really want to get offended, that's an offense.
Starting point is 00:28:25 People have the right to be offended. They just don't have the right to open their mouths about why they're offended. Handle it yourself, mate. Yeah. But you've got to be ready for those, honey. I am now down to three pumps a day. So I pumped in the morning.
Starting point is 00:28:38 I pumped right before we left for the festival. And then I pumped when we got home from the festival. And then instead of dumping that milk we drank it because it's a weird thing she does she likes she in her head again like crazy crazy tamil talking why do you drink it well honestly i never would have thought about it if it wasn't for lala she obviously her baby's six weeks older than summer so she started this before summer was even born and i thought it was fucking weird she was putting it in her coffee she's like it's sweet it's good and i'm like you're gross
Starting point is 00:29:09 you're fucking weird and then when we talked about it more i was like wait a second you might be onto something here so what is she onto so much goodness in breast milk like i've heard bodybuilders buy this shit on the black market like what so what is the goodness there's so many nutrients in it honey it breast milk has kept our daughter alive and putting weight on for a year now i understand that so what does the breast milk do for an adult because obviously our digestive system is a little bit different to a baby our needs our all that look i haven't super researched the science okay drinking your breast i just believed lala when she was telling me how much goodness was in the breast milk and i'm like look if it's good
Starting point is 00:29:51 for the baby it's probably good for me and i would rather that makes sense drink it and then like you know regenerate new breast milk with the other whatever i don't know it just it seemed like why waste it when you can drink it? I've heard that it helps with hangovers. I know when you put it on skin blemishes, eczema, it helps with that. So there's just a lot of good things that it does. And I'm like, look, I did hear the hangover thing. Like I was told that was true. So that was the one reason I'm like, Hey, drink this. You won't be hung over. We just get told things and we just follow them by gospel. But it's okay. Sometimes they research.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Sometimes they don't. I'm pulling your leg, but I want to say you're nearly at a year. She's been detached. She stopped latching, what, three months ago? Yeah. No, longer than that. Oh, my God. It was beginning of December, honey.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Okay, so four and a half months ago. It's been almost five months. Yeah. So, I mean, you've done such a great job. And now you've been pumping. And look, when you part, Sheena's really good at being very aware of like, okay, what is in her breast milk? And like, she has these testing strips. So when she pumps, she'll test her milk if she had a glass of wine. And if that thing turns any type of color, any type of color, not even like a light color, but turns color, she either drinks it or or throws it away but generally drinks it because she doesn't want to waste it yeah i i think there's
Starting point is 00:31:09 like a bunch of like probiotics and stuff you know probiotics breast milk back to the questions mo full mo lift fits wants to know favorite, favorite festival outfit of all time and what are three things you must bring? Okay. Oh wow, that's a complex question. Favorite concert I mean Britney Spears, hands down or Aerosmith. I mean I've seen Britney Spears multiple times
Starting point is 00:31:38 in so many different stages of Britney. I've seen Aerosmith twice and just fucking iconic, epic so hands down those are my two favorite concerts I've ever been to what about you honey um I think I mean I we've seen you brought up Aerosmith a hundred percent that was the best Valentine's Day ever I will front row listening to these legends play and then I really have a good time at stagecoach but that's not a that's a festival but not like not a I've seen. So those are my two.
Starting point is 00:32:06 And then my favorite outfit I've worn is whatever I'm going to wear when we do a Harry Styles party. Because that outfit was on point. But I just wear the party shirts. We don't do outfits. We said, we told Tom Sandoval, we're like, okay, what Harry Styles wore for his Coachella performance. I was like, Sandoval, you have to be this version of him for Halloween this year or make it the
Starting point is 00:32:29 theme for your birthday party where all of us come as different versions of Harry Styles. And he was like, you're a fucking genius. I love that idea. I'm going to sew my own Harry Styles costume. Yeah, you and you will. I will. You totally will. Stay tuned. I don't know what my favorite festival outfit of all time is yet though. I mean, it might not even exist yet. I've got an iconic one from San Diego when I was at Cross because we've got Cross festivals. Those are fun.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Yeah, I love those ones. But there's an iconic one of me just standing there with my leopard print t-shirt on like a parking pole, which is about 10 inches in a circumference all the way around. And I'm standing there, partying my ass off for like 30 minutes on top of this one pole. And then all of a sudden I look down and I see all of my friends all around me because they use me as a beacon. And they're like, oh, meet by Brock. And I see them. Instead of by the lion, meet by Brock. They come over. And then I'm like, I fall off and I see everybody. I'm like, what up guys?
Starting point is 00:33:24 It's iconic, San Diego. Definitely. Three things you must bring. So for me, definitely some face gems or glitter. You got to bring a Mophie with you to the festival. That's a good idea. For sure. And one thing that I forgot to do this festival that i always do is have a little bag of straws
Starting point is 00:33:48 for drinks because festivals don't have straws and i hate sipping drinks with ice so those are my three why do you why is that i just don't like it it's cold on my gums i think ever since i had all those surgeries on my teeth my gums are just extra sensitive so i drink everything with a straw my three things you must take to a festival the boys what did you say a party shirt the boys a party shirt and the missus the boys come first though i think he said top three didn't say in what order maggie moo bear wants to know if we experienced any of the revolve drama or know anyone who did um so my friends who went didn't experience the drama part of it but i saw so much stuff on tiktok it sounded like fire festival 2.0 people waiting for seven hours no food no water
Starting point is 00:34:40 stuck waiting for shuttles like it sounded like a fucking nightmare. I mean, it sounds like a marketing plan to me. You know what I mean? They still turned around. Not a smart one. Yeah, but people are talking about the Revolve party, right? And how bad it was. I get it. And how they'd never go back.
Starting point is 00:34:55 I get it, but they will. Are you kidding me? You're saying it to the same people that thought they were big enough influencers to go to a Revolve party and get left on a bus or off a bus for seven hours and still in line. So we're not talking about people that have common sense. We're talking about people that think that there's somebody. Okay. But revolve is getting talked about right now. So I feel like the next party has to be pretty fun, but I mean, I've never been invited
Starting point is 00:35:19 because I'm not cool enough. So there we go. Good luck. Or maybe you're just too cool. No, I just think it's a cool kid and not cool kid. I'm in the not cool kid section, but I don't care because I got the boys, the party shirt and the missus. So I don't care. Boom. Yeah, that's it, baby. S. Sophie Clark wants to know if it was worth all the hype.
Starting point is 00:35:39 What, Coachella? No. No? No, it's just a normal festival. But like, like Yeah I mean Worth it Like we had a blast We had so much fun
Starting point is 00:35:48 But I think people like Put this stigma on like Coachella Yeah To be like the iconic You know It festival When My favorite festival is Cross
Starting point is 00:35:58 And in Splash House Like local little festivals Oh yeah you love Splash House Because it's so much fun It's easy to get in and out Splash House isn't really a festival to me though it's three pool parties at three hotels
Starting point is 00:36:08 that's not a festival what is the definition of a festival like a festival is like going to the grounds of a festival where you have different stages Sposh House is literally
Starting point is 00:36:16 three pool parties what's the festival ground Apollo Field we went to three hotels yeah but look at Life is Beautiful like the festival grounds that's the freaking
Starting point is 00:36:25 downtown Las Vegas. It doesn't matter, but there's different stages you go to. There's a set. But the different stages is in a parking lot, a different parking lot, and an alleyway. Yeah, but it's just... No, it's not just. I don't consider Splash House a festival.
Starting point is 00:36:42 That's because you also don't like pool parties. I like pool parties. I just don't think Splash House a festival. I think it is a pool party. That's because you also don't like pool parties. I like pool parties. I just don't think Splash House is a festival. I mean. Simple as that. Listen, we can agree or disagree on that one. A.Cara wants to know, is Summer really walking? Can we talk about this weekend?
Starting point is 00:37:01 She is just a gem, that little girl. She started to take like two steps recently or three steps here but kind of then just stumbles and falls down but this weekend yesterday with a little incentive from like my dad to me or brock to me we're like do you want the ball do you want the ring do you want the watermelon and she took a full five steps like so quick it was like she ran into my arms i don't know if you guys saw it on my instagram she was falling forward with momentum but she she did it she did it honey like oh that little girl is just she's she was swimming in the pool we're teaching her how to swim now so she's really good in the pool. We're teaching her how to swim now. So she's really good in the pool. She likes the water and she's just growing up so fast. So I'm here for all those moments, you know?
Starting point is 00:37:49 Yeah, definitely. Timmy Zay Larray wants to know how I lost all the baby weight. That sucked for me, honey. Well, yes, I definitely think breastfeeding helped, but also, I mean, you guys have to remember that I worked out three, four days a week, my entire pregnancy pretty much. So I think that that definitely helped my muscle memory and everything with my body. And then the second I was cleared by the doctor to start doing any type of workouts, which were very basic workouts I started with doing pelvic floor and stuff like that. I started with doing pelvic floor and stuff like that. I started as soon as I could. And now that we're back in San Diego,
Starting point is 00:38:30 we've got our gym membership at fit that I go to with Brock and he trains me, or I go and work out at fitness with Cody, my trainer. And I just think that that has definitely whipped me back in shape. What do you think, honey? Look, honey, I can't tell you, but the effort you put in is the effort you put in. You only get out what you put in and you look great. You look phenomenal. And you've been a great mom the whole time.
Starting point is 00:38:56 So obviously breastfeeding definitely helps with that. Yeah, for sure. And the stress you put through your body, it's taxing. But look, whatever you're doing, honey, keep it up. You look good. You feel good. Thanks. Emma B. Wright just said, sex in all capitals.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Sex. What is that once you have a kid? I mean, I asked for questions and she just said, sex. Listen, I'm a male. She is a female. We are compatible. We're also parents. So we're working on our time.
Starting point is 00:39:30 But what? Saturday. We didn't have baby. Exactly. Anyway, yeah, sex was a thing. Perfect. Yeah, a lot of people are saying, why didn't you spend time with Ariana? I guess just because she wasn't on Instagram, they think she wasn't with us but wait wait for the vlog y'all i i was so busy vlogging the whole
Starting point is 00:39:50 time at the festival that i honestly forgot to take pictures i forgot to do stories so on day three it's like the right before the sun setting i'm like ariana we need a photo we have not gotten one photo her and i were in black where kel's in her like gorgeous pink gown i'm like we need a photo of the three of us it's also like difficult to like oh like remind yourself you want to get photos because you're having such a good time like i'm i always have such a good time and i'm always the person taking photos of other people but oh my god you took so many photos of raquel that'll be in the vlog too like instagram boyfriend of the year for my friend. That's what I do, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:26 I take everybody else's photos. And when I ask for photos, guess what I get? Just horrible, just bad photos. I think I got some good ones of you and the boys. Did you? I think so. I didn't send them to you yet, but I got some good ones. All right.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Well, let's wrap this up with stranger danger. Ha question. How do you two, that's their, their handle stranger danger. Ha. Oh, that was the question. How do you two, that's their handle, stranger, danger, ha. Oh. I was like, that was the question? Huh? How do you two work through things as a couple?
Starting point is 00:40:55 Honey? How do we work through things as a couple? I think trying to see from the other person's perspective is the first most important thing to do. Even if it's wrong. Or you you know what because that's the first is understanding the perspective i think when me and you argue i try and explain how i feel and i try to explain how i think you feel and i ask you if i'm right or wrong and from that we build up more of a conversation that's that's the only thing you just got to understand that there's more perspective than just your own based on so many variables. For a prime example, like you might have an argument with somebody because they disagree with something you say. It's just like, for example, when you
Starting point is 00:41:35 find a dog that's a stray dog that's been beaten, just because you go to lift your hand to the dog to pat it, it freaks out because of how it's been treated in the past perspective. We don't know that we can't control that. So all we can try and do is understand why that person was offended because apparently they had a shitty stuff or other things. You know what I mean? You got to understand. And if I, if you can understand and you can forgive and forget, and that is my tip on how we get through it. What's your idea? Yeah, I think that's the biggest thing in communication. You know, like talking about our feelings and when something has upset one of us, you know, talking through it and working through it
Starting point is 00:42:12 and seeing each other's perspective. Setting boundaries is huge. And guess what Sheena did last week? She set her first boundary. Yeah. The boundary was me not respecting that she wanted someone to wear a coat if we're outside and it was under 70 degrees. i'll be like nah she's fine but she said no if you respect
Starting point is 00:42:30 me you will wear the coat because i would like her to wear the coat that's it it's very simple she said it to me you deliver it to me in that manner and i was like this is important to her as i said i feel like sometimes which also you listeners i believe have chimed in on is the way brock can speak to me at times on this podcast or cut me off can come off as disrespectful oh okay okay anyway kind of i said to him i was like bro it's 67 degrees outside we live on the water we're by the beach it's chilly out there's a breeze put a fucking jacket on our daughter respect me enough to listen to what i have to say because what you have to say and the way you want to raise her isn't always necessarily right we are both her parents we need to respect each other understand each other and
Starting point is 00:43:16 there's no right way to raise a kid this is this is the problem you want to go there we're not going to get into it we're going to wrap up this podcast. We're going to work on our communication skills after this. Thank you guys so much for listening. I know Brock and I haven't done a lot of Q and A's recently.
