Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a Dear Media production. creative masterminds. It's so much fun. If you guys want to find me on Instagram and it's just at Kinsey Elizabeth, I release new episodes every Thursday. So hope to see you there. From Vanderpump rules to Motherhood and everywhere in between, it's time to catch up with Sheena Shea. This is Shenanigans. And now, here's your host, Sheena Shea. Because we're good as gold. Because we're good as gold. Because we're good as gold. We're rolling. Do we even know why we're here?
Starting point is 00:01:14 Like, I'm so confused. We're here to get into some shenanigans. We've got Brock on the mic co-hosting. Yo. We've got my friends, Paul and Patrik. Paul is the fabulous designer who designed my wedding gown. Welcome back to Shanina Gives Guys. Oh my God, one and only.
Starting point is 00:01:35 So honey, Paul and Patrik were on my podcast right when you and I met. We were not official yet, but there were talks. There was only like a date maybe? It was the meeting. Actually, Sheena owes Paul. You wouldn't be sitting here right now if Paul didn't give her the advice to go and chase after you.
Starting point is 00:01:54 What was the advice? Do we want to go that deep right now? We got married, so we're good now. How did that conversation go about then? You can listen to the podcast, honey. You can go back and listen to it. We talked about you on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:02:11 I love this. Because I encouraged her. I could see the twinkle in her eyes. And I was like, she's like, well, I don't know. I'm not sure. I'm going to go. And she was flying out that afternoon when we did the podcast. Yeah. Yeah, I was going to Australia. But you know what? I just met to go. And she was flying out that afternoon, like when we did the podcast. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:25 Yeah, I was going to Australia. And she's like, I don't know. But you know what? I just met him once. I think we had a date, but I'm not really sure. Was it kind of casual? I love this. No, I just, at the time, you know, I didn't know if it was going to turn into anything.
Starting point is 00:02:40 It was like he's like a rugby player. And I don't know. Of course, we asked about your stats. She was very clear on your measurements. That's a test. How tall is he? How wide is he? How big is he?
Starting point is 00:02:57 How thick he is? You know, like all the right questions. All the right questions. Because you're a rugby player. It works. Well, you're a rugby player. We knew you had really strong, big thighs. They wanted to gird the length of it. It works. Well, you're a rugby player. We knew you had really strong, big thighs.
Starting point is 00:03:15 And now, Brock, we really know you because we saw you in drag on everyone's crotch in Mexico. Yes. What was that? It was in my face. That was Anita, okay? Anita Treadmill. And she comes out from time to time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Yeah, so Paul, Patrika, and I met, I don't even know what, 10 years ago or something. Beverly Hills working days. Before Vanderpump. Yeah, before Vanderpump. Like, Villa Blanca before Vanderpump, though. I mean, Villa Blanca was there before Housewives. Yes, it was.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Yeah, so that's when we met. And then recently, Patrika and I found out that Vanderpump though. I mean, Blanco was there before housewives. Yes, it was. That's when we met. And then recently Patrika and I found out that my grandparents, my mom's parents and his parents were all like best friends. And in the Knights of Columbus together, who knew after all these years, like went to the same luau, the same events
Starting point is 00:04:01 like we're best friends. Yeah. My parents have been to her grandparents' house a million times. They've been to our house. My mom knows his parents and didn't realize those were his parents. Okay, so you and I are out of the loop. I'll tell you why. Nobody knows who we are, right? Because these
Starting point is 00:04:18 two never even shared any of that with each other the whole time because you guys are so Hollywood. You two are such hollywood bitches i mean i guess there was never really a reason to bring it up but so how did it come up so patrick's mom passed away recently yeah and my cousin saw a photo that i posted with him on instagram yeah and my cousin was like, wait, Patryk? He's like, his mom just passed away. He's like, I know his mom.
Starting point is 00:04:48 They were members of Knights of Columbus. And my family's very big in the Knights of Columbus. And I was like, wait, what? And then she told me the name. And I called my dad. And he goes, yeah. We went to both their funerals. We were best friends with them.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Oh, my gosh. They've been to all our luau's. We've been to their luau. Yeah, I'm like, the Simpsons and the Jenkins were definitely friends So crazy So bizarre Nice in Columbus
Starting point is 00:05:11 Can we just clarify for everyone listening back home That we're sitting at a round table Nice in Columbus is a what? It's like a social community group I don't even know how to explain it They've got swords It's a Catholic thing. They've got swords. It's a Catholic cult.
Starting point is 00:05:28 No, it's like a gathering, maybe? That's a cult. That's a cult. They do a lot of charity. I've been to the actual building. I've been to the hall where they get together and they're very present in the community.
Starting point is 00:05:44 They obviously, like you said, have events, have charity events, have balls there and all that. So we've been there for a wedding. You know who the president is? Right now? His dad. My dad was Grand Knight. Grand Knight. So crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Many times. I know. Speaking of charity events and balls, Paul, you have designed so many custom gowns for so many celebrities. I have so many questions. I want to know, first of all, I don't even know if we talked about this on the last podcast, but I want to know how you two met and how you two met Anna Nicole Smith. Oh, OK. Well, OK.
Starting point is 00:06:22 So the way we met was when I did Fashion Week in Bryant Park in New York many years ago. Mercedes-Benz, when it was still Mercedes-Benz doing it. I stayed with my fashion photographer friend who's really, really famous, who's on America's Top Model and Mexico's Top Model version of it. And he showed up when I was doing all my interviews for Style and all E and all these different networks. I was the president of the Modeling Association of America back then. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Because I was a model agent. And he had a board meeting at the Waldorf Astoria. And I'm prefacing that because it's really, really key to the story. So you'll know what a real bitch he is when you hear this. But I had no idea as I slapped him, right? I had no idea. So when I was doing all the interviews, now, if I can just set the scene for you, I have
Starting point is 00:07:11 all the beautiful new gowns, the interviews going on. I have gorgeous models behind me that are changing into the different dresses. They're doing photo shoots. They're doing all the different accessories, the hair. We're showing like a whole thing behind the scenes. It's like chaos. Complete New York chaos for Fashion Week. We're on Fifth Avenue, right?
Starting point is 00:07:32 And next thing you know, he walks in through the door. And from the corner of my eye, I could see like, oh, my God, he's wearing a suit, number one. And everybody else is naked doing cocaine lines. Chinese food being delivered. There's like pizza being delivered. I'm like this. It's like New York City. Like midnight.
Starting point is 00:07:54 It's crazy. And he walks in with a suit and a trench coat and with a palm pilot in his hand. And I thought to myself, who the fuck? Like, is he one of the models? Please take it off right now. This is the one I want to see. And he sat there quietly playing on his phone sending messages back and forth.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I wasn't playing a game on my phone. I'm not technological so I couldn't understand. But an hour later as I'm doing the interviews It's winding down and all this chaos. Oh, too. This was 19 years ago. So nobody had like You just ate yourself to be 98 19 years ago.
Starting point is 00:08:41 19 years ago. I was alive 19 years ago. I didn't have a fucking phone. So the most interesting thing that happened at that point, an hour later, is he pulled me. And this is a studio set. So he pulled me. Well, first of all, because he kept staring at me all night. And I'm like, okay, I'm so done with this bullshit.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Let me just put an end to this. I like this guy. I grabbed him, pulled him into the bathroom, pinned him up against the wall and gave him a kiss. Yes. I didn't even know his fucking name. Go for it. Yes. So we know who the whore in the relationship is.
Starting point is 00:09:12 You know what? It takes control. Well done. I love that. But if you think of the studio setting, the scene of the bathroom was a jungle. So there's vines coming down the wall. You can't see the toilet or the shower. So it's like in the middle of the Amazon jungle. It's like you look like you're in the Amazon.
Starting point is 00:09:29 So as he pinned me back to the wall, he's 6'2 1⁄2", and let me tell you, every half an inch matters. And he pushed me, and he gave me this kiss, and I was like, oh my God, I just melted.
Starting point is 00:09:42 And I look up at him like, oh my God, I've just been to heaven. And I feel like Jesus in front of me. It was ridiculous. But then when we came back out of the bathroom, I'm like, hold your horses, my friend. I'm from Beverly Hills. You just hold your horses. First, you took advantage of me.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Then you shouldn't have done that because you had no permission. It felt good, mind you. But let's let's we figure this out. He goes, you want to go out and hang out? I said, I'm not going anywhere with you. Who do you think you are taking advantage of me? You don't even know me. I don't even know who you are. I'm like, we can talk. We get to know each other more. He goes, no, where are you
Starting point is 00:10:15 staying? I'm like, where the hell does it matter where I'm staying? He goes, we're not going to go back to the hotel. I said, but I'm not going anywhere with you unless I know what hotel you're staying. He goes, but I go, you could be an axe murderer. I'm like, I'm not an axe murderer. You don't need to know my hotel. You never know. I'm not going anywhere until you tell me where I'm staying.
Starting point is 00:10:32 So I'm like, okay, thinking, okay, bitch. I'm like, I'm at the Waldorf on Park Avenue. Now, would that not impress you? Right. You know what this bitch says? Which section? Are you in the regular section or in the tower with the people? Were you actually staying at the key card? Were you
Starting point is 00:10:47 actually staying at the Waldorf? I was. I'm like, I have my own key card. I'm in the towers. I have a one-bedroom suite. He was finally speaking the language I can relate to because I'm not going to go with some schlup. Can you see? I mean, imagine if you're
Starting point is 00:11:03 staying in the regular section, you may have gotten a Groupon or coupon or something. I mean, seriously, can you see? I mean, imagine if you're staying in the regular section, you may have gotten a Groupon or coupon or something. I'm not staying there. Do you know what I mean? They have their own little alleyway. I'm not going there.
Starting point is 00:11:13 I want a key card up to the towers. We did. Then we went out. We talked. We hung out all night. Then I said, where would you like
Starting point is 00:11:21 to go? Let's go explore New York City. And then our first date was Nine on Broadway with Antonio Banderas. Okay. And then the next day. We sat right in the balcony, right on top of the stage. And he put his hand on my knee the whole night.
Starting point is 00:11:40 I knew he was the one. So we left. And I went back to Scottsdale. And he went to Beverly Hills and when he got to his boutique, I just had flowers sent all day long. The next morning I got there and then when I called him, it was
Starting point is 00:11:56 like maybe 11, 30, 12 and I called him like about 10, 10, 30, 11. So I called him up and I said, thank you for the flowers. This is really beautiful. As another one. And they kept coming. And another one. I love that.
Starting point is 00:12:07 It seemed like every 45 minutes to an hour, there was a big bouquet of something being delivered. That's so fun. And I'm like, thank you so very much. I still have the note that he had sent. Thank you so much. This is so nice. He goes, oh, I'm going to Mexico for a photo shoot. Do you want to go?
Starting point is 00:12:24 I go, you know what? Let me check my calendar. Hold on. I told my assistant, get me on the first fucking flight to Arizona. I'm going to Mexico. 19 years later. Yeah, you know what? I'll get on the next flight. Let me see if I can make arrangements. I'll call you on the way.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Went to Mexico. Had an amazing weekend. It was. And that's it. That's all she wrote. I even remember the pebbles that hit that car. He had a Mercedes, one of the SUVs. And I'm like, it's going to tear up the paint job. He goes, don't worry.
Starting point is 00:12:57 I'll get another one. You're like, perfect. This is the guy for me. That's my man. This is amazing. I love that. No, but since then, we've been inseparable. Honestly, we've done everything together. Yeah, you guys have done so much, including your show, Gown and Out Beverly Hills,
Starting point is 00:13:20 has its third season. Yes! Third season! On Prime Video. We're now doing season four. Oh my God. We're doing season four. Why didn't we film any wedding stuff for season four?
Starting point is 00:13:33 I know, right? Because there were cameras there. Well, because you already had your thing. We couldn't come over there with anything else because you know what they would have done. Hello. What season was it that we did my podcast on? Two.
Starting point is 00:13:43 Season two. That was fun. That was a podcast on? Season two. That was fun. That was a fun episode. Season two. Yeah. But the crazier thing then, since then, let's say we're doing the TV show and we're, you know, in Beverly Hills still, you know, at the store making all the gowns and he's running the production aspect of everything.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Our life is so intermingled with everything that we do on a daily basis with so many different events that we have to be a part of just because of the show. We went to 18 different countries right before COVID. We filmed a travel show that's coming out next year.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Oh my gosh! So we went to Singapore. We were in Dubai. We were in Malaysia. We did Malaysia did in malaysia we did malaysia dinner in the sky where they raise you on a crane like six stories up you're having a whole dinner there and they have a chef cooking for you and everything breezy oh it was great and of course he pulled the lever and then who knew that the chair goes all the way back. Oh my gosh. For fuck's sake, I'm going to die. Going all on camera.
Starting point is 00:14:47 It's coming out. This would be the end of me. But it's been such an amazing ride so far. And knowing you and when you came in, you know, you're like, I, you know, the wedding dress and here's my inspiration pieces. And what are we going to do? And I remember the first time you came in, I was going to show you swatch swatches and then he was like yelling at me i'm like what why are you yelling at me like stop it she's about to come i need to be in the zone yeah they were they were in it and i was like i'm just gonna wait't want to be that designer i wanted
Starting point is 00:15:30 to be there for you and i told him i said you better not piss me off the next time she's going to be coming i swear to god you will not be allowed in on any of the fittings anymore so you guys have both been in the fashion industry. What was the first piece you remember doing? Oh, my God. The gold thimble award that I got when I was in college, when I was graduating from the program. Because now I teach as well, right? So the gold thimble is like the highest accolade you could get, which means you're top three out of the entire campus of the gowns that you made. And I made an evening gown and I got the gold thimble.
Starting point is 00:16:08 And he used to be a Versace model and I had no idea. So he used to model all day long, right? You guys are meant to be together. That's so good. Isn't that crazy? Right? I love it. The model and the designer just living it.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Yes. And we never met that way. You would think that we would go you would go through life you know you meet the same people or you go to the events and you kind of mingle but you were on the board when you guys met completely different element totally different totally different and our mutual friend who they shared an apartment with in la before joe lance that he he knew him for years yeah with our our paths had never crossed, but we mutually knew Joe. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:47 And it happened to be in New York at the same time. Wow. And it was just so coincidental. And he was going to meet somebody else, actually. Oh. And he wasn't sure. And he pinned you against the wall. And then when he saw me, that was it.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Well, that was it. After he saw you in the jungle. You know what I asked him, though? Here's a funny question I asked him. I said, what phone plan are you on? He goes, Spr it. Well, that was it. After he saw you in the jungle. You know what I asked him, though? Here's the funny question I asked him. I said, what phone plan are you on? He goes, sprint. Oh, my God. Because I didn't want to waste my minutes.
Starting point is 00:17:11 You know what that meant? I remember. You don't want to waste those minutes. What hotel are you in? And then secondly. But it wasn't unlimited plans back then. Yes. That's why he wanted to know.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Oh, good. Because if you're on sprint, we can do cell phone to cell phone I wasn't sure unlimited text fuck I'm not going to call you I didn't know if I wanted to use up my minutes that way and then it would have to be him I didn't calculate you got to get off
Starting point is 00:17:38 the phone your conversation's dead I'm done with you so were you on sprint as well perfect made it easier because the minute I got to the airport he got me a limo to the airport dead. I'm done with you. So were you on Sprint as well? I was on Sprint. Perfect. The minute I got to the airport, he got me a limo to the airport. And I remember when I drove away and he drove away, he was like a little kid
Starting point is 00:17:53 that turned his head in the back of the limo and just staring at the car to make sure that I was leaving. How do you not love a person like that? They don't make him like him anymore. That's why we wanted to know who the hell you are listen i think that's what love is you know i think when you find a person you realize like oh okay this is what this means you know it's a different feeling for me and you just gotta take a chance yeah and you gotta commit and just just jump in and then
Starting point is 00:18:21 and people always say like how are you guys together for 19 years? And we're not married yet. We're getting married next year, by the way. Oh, my gosh. That's going to be. Wow. You get another gown. Oh, my God. I love this.
Starting point is 00:18:35 And, you know, when he came to L.A. And, you know, you're asking about Anna Nicole. And when he came to L.A., I said, OK, so we're going to have dinner with some of my friends you know do you want to go he's like oh okay so we went and had dinner with a couple of friends then we're doing something else and I go oh we're going to go up and go see my friend Anna you know because you say like I'm going to go see Eileen
Starting point is 00:18:55 I'm going to go see Alice you know Vartui or whatever you just used to bring he goes Anna Nicole Anna Nicole Smith he was like what what He goes, Anna Nicole. I'm like, Anna Nicole Smith? Oh my God, I love her. He was like, what? How? How did you meet her?
Starting point is 00:19:11 When I said all the other names, he was like, whatever. When I said Anna Nicole, it was like it was jumping out of his skin. Well, yeah, she was iconic. Iconic. So we go up to her house. He goes, so where are we going to go? Where are we going to meet her? I go, oh, we're just going to drive up to the house.
Starting point is 00:19:25 He's like, to to go to his house? Like all the gay that he could muster up that was hiding inside suddenly jumped out. And when we got there, they became such beautiful friends with each other. And the fact that Anna respected and loved me so much because I knew her for so many more years before he ever came into my life. That she extended that friendship to him and said, you know what? I mean, Paul, I know Paul. And she tried to set me up with so many guys, hairdressers, stylists. You're kidding me.
Starting point is 00:19:59 You have to be at the makeup artist for her style. I'm like, Anna, no girl. That's the same. That kind of man. No girl. Yeah. So Waldorf Astoria, key card tower. I said that's the one. Yeah. All right, y'all. I'm here to talk to you about therapy again. Yes, yet again, because it is so important. I legit just got out of my weekly therapy session and I just feel like a weight was lifted. I always feel so much better. Brock always feels so much better. Everyone I talk to just feels better
Starting point is 00:20:34 when they have therapy. The long-term effects of therapy can give you the tools to deal with challenges as they arise. They can strengthen your relationships, give you more of an optimistic outlook on life, and there's no better time to invest in yourself than right now. Starting point is 00:22:16 because sometimes when I'm going through something or thinking about something, I'm like, I need to talk about that in therapy next week. And then I forget. And then my session wraps up and I'm like, shit, I didn't talk about that one thing I wanted to. So I've been messaging my therapist as things come up. She had notes ready for me today. And again, that is Shay at Talkspace.com. So you have your Anna Nicole book being turned into a major motion picture now. Huge. What a movie. That is so incredible. Congratulations. How much can you tell us about that? Where our our friendship and our story that we put onto the pages that we started with because we were grieving for the loss of our friend. Yeah. And he was typing. I was talking. He was writing. We were reminiscing about all the stories that we shared.
Starting point is 00:23:41 And I can't explain it, but it felt so good. It was kind of cathartic just to be able to Share these intimate moments that we had with her that nobody else even knew about Paper on the computer was really helped us process her lot the degree Because she was our best friend. I was always on the phone with her, always talking to her. And then suddenly she's just gone. And it just was so horrific. And then she left her daughter behind.
Starting point is 00:24:12 I know. I remember that. We named Danny Lynn. Really? Yeah, we came up with the name. We took care of her. We raised Danny Lynn for the first seven months of her life. From when she was born. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Wow. Until Larry came into the picture. Yeah. And then. The movie is amazing because they're basically taking our book and we've talked with, right now we're talking with Lily James to play Anna Nicole. That was going to be my next question. Wouldn't she be great?
Starting point is 00:24:41 She played Pam and she would be amazing as Anna Nicole. So we're kind of going there. I've already talked to the agents for KJ Apa to play me in the movie. He's from Riverdale. Yeah. No, I love him. Doesn't he look like him? And he's a real blonde.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I love this. I know, right? So we talked with the agents for Darren Criss to play Paul. That's our Yes, yeah, I think he's perfect to play Paul yeah, and then we talked with Lucas Gage to play Larry Burkhead Oh my god. He was in that coming together No, no in white Lotus Yeah, that's just one DM.
Starting point is 00:25:27 He was a party guy in White Lotus. And he's in the new show, You. Yeah, he's in You. His dad is my doctor. He's got all the ins and outs of Hollywood here. Wow. So hopefully, I know it's going to be a great, beautiful tribute to explain how and what a beautiful person she was what an amazing embodiment of enriching soul and just her entire like i can't even explain like she was this beautiful gorgeous sensitive, sensitive, amazing human.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Just a human. But besides that, she was such a trendsetter. I always like to say because, number one, she was the first reality star. There was no reality. Well, you know we were on her show. Real world and her. That's it. Do you love my bod?
Starting point is 00:26:20 I did that at your wedding. When I was at the hotel room, I was adjusting one of the girls' dresses. I was like, you left my part. They were so drunk. You had so much alcohol at your wedding. It was an all-inclusive resort. It was ridiculous. Let me tell you, I think they ran out of alcohol at that place.
Starting point is 00:26:38 There wasn't one given second that they didn't have a cocktail in their hair. Did you guys enjoy the wedding? Amazing. Yeah, it was so much fun. Oh, my God. I cried all day. All day I cried. But it was happy tears.
Starting point is 00:26:50 I felt like everybody there got the message of what we were doing. And it was celebrating love. All your guests and all your friends that were there, some of them that we knew, some of them that we got to meet, some of them we'd heard about that never really knew that, you know, traveled across the waters. Yeah. Beautiful people. And we talked a lot.
Starting point is 00:27:09 We're friends with a lot of them now. I know. I love that. Your sister was messaging us on her way to Alaska. My mom was so thankful. She's like, because we don't get it like that in Australia. We grew up on a farm. It was completely, my world now is completely different to what we're used to.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Oh, really? And so for her to kind of come over and see her youngest son, We grew up on a farm. It was completely, my world now is completely different to what we're used to. Oh really? And so for her to kind of come over and see her youngest son, what the people I've surrounded myself with and the quality people, you know, and she was just like, she was so happy and the love he gave her.
Starting point is 00:27:35 I never asked you, you never asked him what hotel he was staying at. I told him we were going, we were staying at the Outback. You should have. Wait, where did you, I don't remember, how did I go wrong with you? Actually, we were staying at the Outback. You should have. Wait. The Outback. Where did you? I don't even remember. How did I go wrong with you? Actually, I got us the hotel in Sydney. She did.
Starting point is 00:27:50 I had a hookup in Sydney because I was just there six months prior. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I was like, wait. I was like, I have to stay at this hotel again because it was awesome. And then I surprise tripped her to Bali. Yeah. I told her we were going to Uru, but she hung up the plane and I started. That's my most favorite countries in the world.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Oh, my God. I know. They love Bali. We want to get a house there. I do, too. But the problem with Bali, and this is like, I don't want to finish on that. But Bali isn't first world, you know? So there's a lot of crime that goes on there.
Starting point is 00:28:16 And a buddy of mine just got back from Bali, told me a horrific story where he pretty much got extorted out 50 grand. What? Because he was living the life and then people came up to it. Okay, so let's move on from crime and folly. Let's go back to Dubai. Yeah, wait, Dubai.
Starting point is 00:28:32 You guys, I know you've been to Dubai. Is this where you met some of the housewives of Dubai? Because, honey, I don't know if you know this, but Paul designed two of the gowns on the Dubai housewives. Two best ones, the number one looks. They were so good. The number one looks. They were so good. The number one looks. I'm actually
Starting point is 00:28:48 doing a dress for Sarah for the Emmys in Dubai. Oh my God, my gown's going to be at BravoCon. Yeah, yeah, on display at BravoCon. It's going to be on display at BravoCon. I love that. And because it was like the very favorite one
Starting point is 00:29:03 that they liked. Both of them were, but she's going to take hers. And I knew Sarah from before she was even a housewife. We judged a beauty pageant with her a few years back because we go to Dubai all the time. Yeah. We've been there several times and we judge a pageant. Well, all the, you know, all the princesses and, you know, everybody's a princess and a sheik in, you know, Dubai and the Emirates and Riyadh and KSA. Yeah. So they all come to my store shopping at the boutique in Beverly Hills.
Starting point is 00:29:31 So it wasn't anything different when I go there. I speak Arabic as well because I was born in Kuwait. So I speak the language. Oh, shit. I did not know that. Check of all trades. But when we go to Dubai, we go like rock stars. Our friend Abu Saba, he's the one that bought the royal license plate for $9 million.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Just to put on one of his rolls. And so we go to Palm Island. One of the rolls. He's got 10 houses. You can land a 747 in his living room on Palm Island. He goes there and he just walks down and he goes, pick a rolls. Which one do you guys want?
Starting point is 00:30:04 Just take a car. We had a car driver. So we don't understand the crime stuff you're talking about. Yeah, now that's a different world. We were loaded with guns, baby. And when you're driving the Rolls with the Royal license plate, every car on the road. Yeah, they're not supposed to pass you.
Starting point is 00:30:19 They can't pass you. I had no idea. Oh, because they literally, there's like a hierarchy on the road. Like, oh, it's Royal. Sorry, red lights for you. Sheena, so here, there's like a hierarchy on the road. Like, oh, that's royal. Sorry, red lights for you. Sheena, so here we are. We're sitting in the car. We're sitting in the car.
Starting point is 00:30:30 We're driving down the road, right? Like on the highway. And we're going from one place to another. I had no idea. All of a sudden, I see that the car, and there's nobody in front of us anymore. You know how traffic moves? Yeah. And you see cars pass you by.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Suddenly, I see like there's nobody else. All I see is the skyline and the sunset, the desert dunes. And I'm like, and I turn around looking behind me and I'm going, why are they all behind us? So I tapped the driver on the shoulder and I'm like, keep head up. Like, what's wrong with this? And he goes, oh, we're in the number five, my friend.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Number five. That means they can't pass. So because the royal license plate is one through seven. So they see the five and they pull over. They have to be behind us. So and when we go into the driveway, like let's say in Jumeirah, like we're going to go to Jumeirah five. When the car is going to drive in,
Starting point is 00:31:25 when they see that car, it stops at the edge of the road. Before it goes into the driveway, they clear out the driveway before this one pulls in. No one else is there. Like we go like rock stars. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:31:38 How fun. I was like, oh. Excuse me. I can get used to this. We need to get some lesson plays going over here. Right? You're also going to be rock stars at LA Fashion Week, which are opening coming up.
Starting point is 00:31:52 This weekend. Saturday. And you guys are going to be here. Saturday. Where are you guys going? I know. We're in Vegas this weekend. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:31:59 I know. Can I go to Vegas instead? So can anyone go to the fashion show or what? What is there to expect at Fashion Week this weekend? They can send me a DM and then we can put them on, tell them how to get connected to go. So yeah, that's fine. Okay. Fun.
Starting point is 00:32:16 How long have you been designing for? Ever. Since I was 12. Honestly, since I was 12 years old. Wow. I've been living the dream of living the life that I've always wanted to since I was 19 years old. That's so great. When I got my degree, my second degree when I was 21 years old, and I was like, I got to hurry up and do this because I need to start working. And I started my collection when I was 23.
Starting point is 00:32:43 And I started my collection when I was 23. I was selling in Saks, Neiman's, Cachet, Nordstrom's, Holt Rimfru, you name it, around the world. And in Dubai. Henry Bendel. Henry Bendel. Yeah. And then I opened up the store because I said, what's the next step? I said, Valentino has a store. Yves Saint Laurent has a store.
Starting point is 00:33:02 I want one. How long have you had your store for now? Almost 30 years. Wow. That's amazing. Same spot. And I had opportunities to move. I had opportunities to, you know, like, make it different or go places or move walls.
Starting point is 00:33:18 And the First Lady comes up to me and says, why do you need to move? This is so you. We come here. We come here. I come here. Because when she came in, because my gown travels the First Lady Museum in all the different capitals across the country. So she's like, well, I come.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Everybody else comes. This is so you. And since then, I never thought to ever leave to another. Like, I just, I'm like, this is me. You like it or not. Come. I love it. Just come visit.
Starting point is 00:33:47 Come hang out. I love you guys together. I love hearing your story. I didn't know all of this. And now I want to travel to Dubai with you guys too. I know, right? Oh my God. We love to travel though.
Starting point is 00:33:58 I mean, we love to travel. So it's exciting. It's exciting. We've got Fashion Week at the Fashion Life Tour this weekend. We've got season three of Gownin' Out in Beverly Hills on Prime Video. What can the fans expect to see this season? Who are some guests? Is there anything you can tell us?
Starting point is 00:34:13 Who are some guests, Patrick? Abby Lee Miller is coming out. We shot with Adrienne Maloof. That was a lot of fun. We did a cover of a magazine with her. I got my Brazilian butt lift on TV. If you want to see, if you want to see some crack,
Starting point is 00:34:27 tune in. Love that. Well, congratulations on everything you guys have accomplished. Your relationship, just the success of that for two decades is amazing. It means it, it,
Starting point is 00:34:41 it really means something because I think a lot of people give up. much, whether it's a career, a friendship, a love interest, family. Yeah. It's I think it's COVID has really evaluated things differently and put perspective and priorities in a different context. And I would hope that people take a little more time, respect each other a little more. I mean, I respect them with my heart. I mean, we yell, I scream. Oh, we can get into it. I mean, let me tell you, I can make that entire building move. But at the end of the day, I know that I have somebody who loves me, who cares about me, really thinks that wants to be in my life and loves what I do.
Starting point is 00:35:31 And it's equal because I love what he does. I have a passion for everything that he wants to do. I want to encourage and support all the things that he wants to be a part of. And if you can't bring yourself to not make it me and just make it we, it's so much easier. It is. Because if you turn to me upside down, it's we. It's we.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Wow. I love that. I love you guys. Tell everyone where they can find you. Well, Paul. Don't tell them which corner I hang out at, bitch. Paula Too. Patrick Simpson.
Starting point is 00:36:11 Gowning out in Beverly Hills. Paul P-O-L. P-O-L-A-T-T-E-U. Follow me. I need some followers. I need to build my community a little bit bigger and stronger with a bunch of really, really A-list bitches. Come on, people.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Hell yeah. And Patrick is P-A-T-R-I-K. Yeah. Simpson, S-I-M-P-S-O-N. Oh, my God. Snow White. Snow White 90210. Oh, my gosh, y'all.
Starting point is 00:36:38 They have the cutest dog ever. And we're launching a product line with Paula, too, on Walmart. Oh, my God. Actually, so a whole yoga pants. I'm going to send you a whole bunch. Oh my god, as soon as it comes in. I would love that. Thank you. Probably extra small for you.
