So that's what this is. So obviously I'm not doing any ads because we already recorded next week's show. So anyway, okay. What's up? So we are coming to you for a little bonus shenanigans episode up in Lake Hughes. Legit the middle of fucking nowhere. It was like one of those like 20 mile long roads that you're just like, am I going to die

or am I going to make it? We made it. Here we are podcasting. And we are at Camp No Counselor. I have a few friends here with me. We have, who's now I guess, you're like probably my most regular guest other than Janet being my co-host, Kayla.

Yeah, number, I think, think four I think so yeah yeah because we did uh LA studio then we did Vegas and we did in your apartment in my apartment and now here we are at Camp No Counselor you just told me not to talk over you and then I just did no no it's fine sometimes when I do the four people ones when I listen back to it I'm like ah it's like everyone just like talks at the same time. I just did one of those. So right before, right before we just press record, she's like, do not talk over me. And I was like, I didn't say don't talk over me.

I said, don't talk over each other. Right. And then I was like, Sheena, I have podcast before. I've done this a time or two. Yeah. Okay. So what's going on with kicking it with Kayla right now? She's on pause.

Kayla's on pause right now. I have a lot of things going on it will come back in probably January after all the holidays Mikey and I have so much shit going on and you guys will see what's what's up coming very soon but I can't give any spoilers so awesome yeah I know what it is um, Jesse Montana is here with us. How are you? Meow. Yeah. I'm here.

My legs are out. I've got the shortest shorts in the middle of nowhere, if you could only see. You really do. Jesse and I carpooled up here, and we exited, and it's like Lake Castaic, and there's like a subway, a McDonald's, a few little places, and I'm like, oh, I've totally been here before at the lake. And we decided to stop at McDonald's. And I was so glad we did because what was it then?

Like a 30-minute drive just like there was nothing. And then we were the first ones here because we thought check-in was at 6 and I guess it was at 9. There wasn't even a car on the road. So, yeah, we couldn't even like get like food or drinks. I was like, I'm so glad we stopped. Except that cop that was following us for 25 minutes. That was giving me anxiety. I had to roll down all of my tinted windows.

I'm like, I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm going the speed limit. When is he going to get off my ass? She freaks out out of nowhere. She's like, get the food, get the food, get the food out of my lap. Because I have a 10-piece McNugget. The chicken nuggets out of my lap right now. Right now, I'm like, what?

What are you saying? You're talking so fast. I mean, I don't know if it's legal to eat and drive, but I would assume no. Like, you know. Don't nugget and drive. Don't nugget and drive. I was dunking and dipping and, you know. I was just like, get them off my lap.

Oh, my God, he's going to pull me over. I will say shout out to that McDonald's. If we did die out here, that was probably the best last meal of my life. Literally so bomb. Perfect crispness. He was like, this is the bestald's i had ever had in my whole life you know that when the nuggets are perfectly crispy on the outside perfect the fries are flawless the double cheeseburger melts in your mouth yeah it was iconic okay uh

question so speaking of mcdonald's i know i've been to mcdonald's in different countries like switzerland and whatnot, but we have one of the non-counselors here with us all the way from Ireland. Miss Leanne, how are you? Hello. Super good. How are you guys? Oh my God, I love her. I love your accent. Are there McDonald's in Ireland? So yes, there is McDonald's in Ireland, but I've got like a little situation going on with them because I'm a die-hard hot fudge sundae fan and they have removed I repeat removed the hot

fudge sundae sauce from every McDonald's in Ireland and I am not happy about it no like it's it's it's a little bit of a pain in my heart so I'm really happy do they have in the United States right now because there's there's hot fun Sunday sales right here. Of course there is. It's all good. I guess you can never leave America, huh? Yeah. I mean, that would be a great idea.

So I'm so curious. Why are all of the non-counselors from Ireland? Did this camp start in Ireland? Tell me about, like, your first camp and how you got started with all this. So myself and Leanne, we actually started in a camp in Pennsylvania. It's like a kid's camp. Okay. So we both started the same year. So we're proper hooked.

We're like little twins. We're following each other around. I mean, like, when you have a celebrity crush only your twin would pick the same one as you and it wouldn't be planned their proper height yes so yeah we started in pennsylvania at a kids camp and it took it off from there basically and now we get the best of both worlds because we get kids and adults yeah nice mix yeah awesome cool so how Adults. Nice mix. Awesome. Cool. So how many Camp New Counselors have there been now? Dave. I have no idea.

That's a question for Dave. I think that's Uncle Dave. Bring it on in. So I'm not... Hey guys, how's it going? Hi. What's up? He's the ultimate camper. So Camp New Counselors started in 2013.

I'm not sure how many camps we've done. A lot. Yeah. A lot, a lot. I've been to about 50, I think. Wow. Yeah, 50 events, yeah. What's your favorite activity to do at these?

Party. But, I mean, there's everything. There's, like, there's dodgeball, volleyball. There's a ropes course. Yoga. There's, oh, yeah. There's a ropes course. Yoga. Oh, yeah, they're going on a hike soon. We're about to leave here and go do drunk yoga for sure. I just love taking it all in, walking around camp, seeing everybody at the waterfront,

everybody chilling at the pool, having some nice mixed drinks, or watching people do archery, watching people up at the ropes course, overcome their fear to jump off the thing, even though Kalex Ellis yelling jump jump jump i want to do it dave what is your position here at cam no counselors so i'm the head camper and director of like marketing and a bunch of other stuff a bunch of non-interesting stuff but head camper okay but we're all non-counselors we're all here we're basically professional campers here to have a good time and share the good time and make sure that all the campers are having the best time yeah Yeah. And what I think is cool about Camp No Counselors is that when you first get here, Dave does a whole speech about when you get here,

don't ask anyone what they do for a living. That's not how we start off conversation because no one cares. So everyone here is just here to have a good time. And I think that's really cool. Yeah. It really gives people a chance to meet people and make friends and not be put in a box based on what they do good or bad. Um, and they get to just be people and also like, you know, we're adults and we're professionals. So there's like a natural inclination to network, even if you're not trying to network. And this is really just all about like, let's go play dodgeball together and let's have have fun let's make friends based on the way that we did when we were kids and not like as professional grown-ups yeah yeah someone was telling me i actually kind of went like sheena took me into

this very blindfolded which i love freaky things like that yeah we didn't know what i was getting myself into but like adult summer camp let's go yes, one of my friends was like, actually, like that's the summer camp that was on Shark Tank. Yeah. What's the backstory behind that? Yeah. So actually we filmed here a couple of years ago and the company, the company was on Shark Tank. And again, we filmed a lot of the footage here. We didn't end up making a deal, but you know what?

People are still seeing it and still seeing Shark Tank and seeing Camp No Counselors on it. Like every year, every summer they they replay it like three times. And we're still getting people signing up for it. So it was great. It was a great experience. That's actually how I got involved with Camp No Counselors. See? Was, I remember, it was two years ago.

I was with my parents around Christmas time. I don't know why I remember this. But I'm sitting on the couch watching Shark Tank. And it was the Camp No Counselors episode. and I was like, I want to do that. So me being thirsty as fuck, DMed Camp No Counselors. I was like, hey, I definitely want to go. What's up? And I don't know if it was you or probably someone else behind the scenes DMed me back, and they're like, come, come host, whatever.

And now here we are we are yeah I remember you telling me about this last year and then I signed up this year and yesterday Mikey said that you thought that I was not going to show up why I made a commitment yeah wow I made a Mikey Mikey uh actually DM'd me too Mikey me. He's like, you and Sheena are for sure coming, right? I'm like, I'm 135,000%. So, I mean, Sheena has a tendency to flake a little bit. Are you kidding me? I'm sorry.

Who flaked on me all weekend in Vegas? So, I didn't know if you were actually showing up because it's a long drive outside of LA. It was a long drive, but I'm here, aren't I? I'm happy you're here. Yeah, I'm happy to be here. I'm happy you got to experience this fun time. Okay. So, so if you guys i'm sure a lot of my listeners have seen pitch perfect last night felt like the riff off like down at like the little stadium area with the campfire i was just waiting for someone to like bust out an acoustic guitar and like sing you

know it didn't happen but i want it to happen tonight who should have your boy blake oh my god so i run into one of my friends here last night Blake Lewis who was a runner-up to Jordan Sparks on American Idol we've been friends since he was on the show like 12 years ago so random it's just like you never know who's gonna be at camp yeah we all know he got robbed by Jordan Sparks right yeah oh I voted for him I was like a Blake Lewis stand back in the day she was like I think that's Blake Lewis, but I'm not sure. Because I'm blind as fuck, and I can't see that far. I was like, I'll go ask Dave.

So I went up to Dave. I was like, is that Blake Lewis? He's like, yeah, that's him. Then I went up to Blake Lewis. I was like, hey, I know you don't know me. This is really weird. But my friend Sheena is looking at you right now. I'm like, hi.

Literally waving at you. I think you know her. i don't know where to go from here it was actually like he was line dancing too which i thought was like and we were like is that no they were like irish dancing this is crazy actually you know sheena was like literally being spun around like a 720 yeah do you guys watch uh have any of you in the room we have other fucking way okay first of all this is my first podcast live. So this is the beginning. What's going on right now?

about people singing at the campfire, on the last night of camp we have the talent show. I'm not going to be here the last night of camp. I know I'm missing the talent show. Well, that's where that all goes down. Blake Lewis has been known to blow minds, melt minds. I want to know where the F Macaulay culkin is wait he was supposed to come you know i'm looking forward to it well you know that yeah that guy you know you never know where

he's going to show up he was here he did come to camp last year he was here at this camp last year and he rocked it but yeah no with mac you never know where he's going to show up really what the heck and what about the backstreet boy guy? Oh, no, from NSYNC. From NSYNC, right? Joey Fatone. Yeah, whatever. Yeah, he was talking about coming. Oh, really?

He was talking about coming, but he, yeah. I don't know. Maybe one of these days. What a fucking asshole. Maybe one of these days we got Joey Fatone. That would have been a moment. I'm going to get my hopes up like that and then not show up. Like, are you kidding me?

Yeah. Oh, my God. I used to do karaoke nights with Joey Fatone at this club in L.A. I forget what it was called. It was like on Melrose. Villa or something. And he used to host a karaoke night, and I would always go. And he would sing Beastie Boys, I remember, for some reason.

Good times. Good times in Hollywood. Could you imagine if I wrote a book? That guy from Smallville is here. I never watched it. My grandpa used to watch it. Wait, who's here? Some actor from the show Smallville.

Oh. I have to save our buddy Mike Rosenbaum, who her grandpa is a big fan of. Okay, thank you. No, you know what? This has been driving me nuts, and thank you for saying that because I met him at Rockin' Riley's.

He came up to me earlier and said something, and I'm like, I know you, but not like i like recognize him it was like no i've met you before and now i remember exactly i think one of my friends got his numbers well wait is he is he married i don't know no no i can't wait to tell my grandpa about this story wait it all goes back to it all goes back to what you're talking about how people come and they're not put in a box about what they do. So, you know, dudes like Mike come and they come and they just have a good time. And Macaulay Culkin, too.

They just come to have a great time and play. And like Sheena. Kayla Casillas. Yeah, yeah, exactly. No, no, it is really cool because I feel like they're integrated into, like, the regular crowd. No one would know. I didn't know until everyone told me about Smallville or whatever, you know. Like, I had no clue or other guy, the American Idol guy.

They just are with everyone else. And I think that's so sick, you know, just being campers. I guess the thing about camp here is that we all strip back. I mean, as we said, we don't talk about work. It's not because we're allergic to work. I mean, we all are. But, you know, this place brings people together this place brings something it's not about the location it's about the people that it attracts

it's about us having those similar characteristics underneath but generally because you know obviously we're all on social media we love Instagram we love Snapchat we love our phones we're like attracted to them all of the time but this is your digital detox and this strips you back and it brings you back to looking at the trees i mean when are you ever going to take in those leaves just blowing but you're going to remember this moment because now i'm clearly pointing it out and i mean everyone that's listening i'm i can see you like picturing some leaves falling from trees looking at the beautiful mountains and hold on this is great because you did the moose moose thing earlier and i have my friends here, Dom, JC, and Chelsea,

and they do YouTube. They make YouTube videos. They had no fucking idea what they were getting themselves into. Well, now you know. I saw it in JC's face. He was like, moose moose unicorn, what the hell is going on? JC, come on. I need you to give me a recap.

What was going through your head when you finally came to camp? Because this is a great experience. We pulled up, me and my girlfriend. Here we go. Hi, everybody. What's going on? Hey. Yeah, no, me and my girlfriend Chelsea, we were pulling up,

and we watched American Horror Story. Yes. The new season, it's based in a camp site, and we're only on episode two but there's a killer. There's two killers out actually and these are killing people so we're like, oh my God,

this is actually pretty scary. But yeah, no, waking up this morning we were like, you know, learning the moose dance and stuff.

It was pretty fun, dude. Yeah, yeah. And the eight claps. I still don't have it. I think I do seven. It's really hard. All you gotta do is count super fast.

You gotta get that rhythm and you'll get it. Yeah, but it's been fun. It's a good time. So speaking of serial killers, I swear to you. No, no, no. So where we just got to camp, okay,

we had just signed in this motherfucker, Dom. We're standing in a group of people we don't even know. He's like, just think about it. Amongst us, someone might be a murderer and i'm like i don't gotta think of every possibility i just want to jump in real quick and just i can't emphasize enough there are no murders here did we do no murders no murders go down here no one asked for campors, but you might as well just call it Camp No Murders. Because once again, I can't stress this enough, no murders. Carry on. This is a safe place.

It really is. I just like spooky vibes. You enjoy them. You guys should have seen the girls' faces when he said that. It was like a bunch of girls we don't know, and they're all like, what? Like, hi, nice to meet you i'm dumb i hope no one here is a murderer like what breaking the ice like a but you know oh god okay so these are all over the country right this isn't just a thing that's in la

yes so i guess the thing is that this is an experience it's not a physical location that we're attracted to just one location this is something that we want to spread to everybody we want to share the vibes we want to share the experience we want everybody to experience the fun and I guess as well it's it's nice to be a kid every now and again yeah I mean the first thing we say is like let loose have fun enjoy when do you ever get to actually have that experience of going back and playing dodgeball when do you text your friend with with an open bar no that's true um i always say until you have kids you're still a kid so you know for sure yeah

your mind never ages yeah you're only ever going to grow and experience like whatever about your body and i'm telling you embrace the pain yeah If you have that ache in your butt tomorrow morning, like, you did good. Like, you're popping them squats. Good job. But truly, like, we're having our next one is going to be, obviously, you know now at this stage that I'm Irish, Hannah's Irish. We also have another two. No, you aren't. I know.

So, the Irish, I'm letting you know, we're taking over CNC, baby. Camp No Counselors. We're going to have an Irish takeover, know we're taking over cnc baby camp no counselors we're gonna have an irish takeover and we're bringing it all to florida because in march you know us irish like to celebrate saint patrick's day so the 12th to the 15th of march we're gonna have our saint patrick's day camp no counselors special event so uh you can bet there's going to be all the shades of green in sunny, sunny Florida. We also, this is actually very exciting, but we legit have a real life leprechaun. Really? His name may be Ginger Mike, but it is a real life leprechaun.

I swear. I kid you not. It's happening. So Florida, St. Patrick's Day. Yeah. 12th to 15th. Be ready. How fun.

We are also going to Texas. It's on the cards. It is on the cards. And then we'll also be back to New York, Pennsylvania, where we have a fab camp out there, and then back to L.A. So lots of exciting things to come. I think it's cool because a lot of the people that come to camp, I've only gone, this is my second camp, and even from that one camp, I've seen repeat faces, and I feel like

a lot of the campers go to multiple camps, and they meet up here, they have a good time, they keep in contact throughout the year. It's like camp is a place to like make friends for everyone, keep in contact throughout the year. It's like camp is a place to, like, make friends for everyone, keep in contact, and then meet up again and do it all over, you know, and everyone can just come here, have fun, not worry about shit, and just have a good time. It's just like it's a great time of year, too, because it's, like, right in between festival season. So it's like I had two festivals the first two weekends in September

and then I'm like wait I don't I have another next weekend so to do this this weekend and then I'm going down to San Diego for Crossway I'm going to a festival again but it's like a perfect time of like five in a row let's go right it definitely fills in that lol and the other thing that's amazing about Camp No Counselors is and you'll see it from talking to people I'm sure at Campfire last night tonight at our Wet Hot American Summer party but you don't have to come as a group you don't come with your friends you can do either you can come with your friends come with your group but this is a place to come and be you it's a place to do the things that you want to do challenge yourself in different ways and get involved and that's the thing you're making

these friends you're making those connections that you will never find anywhere else. Like a lot of our returners are people who met here on their own day one. And they left the weekend not just having an experience, not enjoying their weekend. But they left here with a new connection, a new group of friends. I mean, I can't emphasize enough like the happiness and joy that this place brings to us, that it brings to the campers. And I mean, we just were like, bring it on. Ooh. I'm excited. So tonight is an 80s party, and we all know I love American summer, and then the night after that is like an underwater theme. Under the sea. Dom decided to be a lawn gnome. I mean, I guess

do they sink in the ocean I'm not sure did you not say you're being a lawn gnome you said you're being a lawn gnome I was like I'm not sure how that fits the theme but that's the thing about camp you do you baby be yourself alright well But that's the thing about camp. You do you, baby. Right? Be yourself, Tom.

All right, well. I like Kayla and Mikey's costumes, SpongeBob and Patrick. I'm not mad at that. Yeah. Oh, shh. Spoiler alert. Spoiler alert. Well, on that note, our chill time is about to be up.

We have yoga. We got a hike. We got ropes courses to do. We have an 80s party to get ready for tonight.
