Hey everybody, so this week I'm sharing something special.
It's a preview of a podcast I am loving.
On Pop Culture Moms, longtime friends and pop culture enthusiasts Andy Mitchell and
Sabrina Kohlberg seek the best advice and most valuable insights from the fictional
moms we love most from TV and movies.
Each week Andy and Sabrina sit down with fellow scholars of pop culture to explore
the highs and lows of parenting.
And they talk to some of our favorite Bravo celebrities like Real Housewives of Salt Lake
City, Heather Gay, who discuss leaving perfectionism behind, and millionaire matchmaker Patti Stanger,
who shares all of her hot takes on celebrity couples who go the distance. In this clip, Garcelle Beauvais talks about parenting, pop culture, and the younger celebrities
she loved to date.
She also dishes on the time she almost quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and one
big change we can expect next season.
Okay, here comes the preview and you can find more pop culture moms wherever you get your
podcasts.
Now you're single, so I'm wondering when you date, how is dating as a mother-
Girls, single ready to mingle.
No, I want you to mingle.
I want you to mingle.
I want you to mingle.
No, I need to.
How is dating as a mother different for you?
You know, I think for me, I sort of had a revelation the other day.
I thought when I got with Mike, Oliver was seven and I felt like I put a lot of
my energy into my relationship and maybe took my eye off the ball in, in terms of
Oliver.
So I don't know if subconsciously I haven't really wanted a relationship
because I didn't want it to get in between me raising my boys
This is my last go-around. I don't know. That's just me sort of like being my own therapist
But I'm definitely ready now the boys are gonna go
To college fairly soon. So I feel like I'm more open than ever and I just hit on Michael Strahan really hard
Good She said, oh, good.
I don't know if he's ready to mingle.
I think he may have someone.
OK, well, regardless, we'll keep we just make connections.
OK, exactly.
Do you have you have kissed a lot of gorgeous men?
And I will say, you know, Jamie Foxx for me was like a real,
real huge celebrity crush.
That's what I, okay.
I was going to say, does it live up to the expectations that I have?
It definitely lives up to it.
I would say he's probably number one.
Oh, my God, I love hearing that.
And then I would put Vaughn at number two. Wow.
Because it makes the viewer you're like, yeah, it was.
Then it was good on stream.
OK. Do you have a celebrity crush?
Do I have a oh, it's always been Brad Pitt, but I'm over him now.
But it's always been Brad Pitt for the longest time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. OK.
OK. Who would I say?
I mean, obviously the Idris Elba.
Michael Strahan has been the mainstay since since Brad Pitt.
God, I love hearing this.
OK, I'm going to take this and run with it.
Now, do you have any interest in younger men?
Like if you were to do an age range on a dating profile,
what's the age range you're putting in there?
OK, the age range on a dating profile. What's the age range you're putting in there? Okay, the age range.
I mean, I wouldn't want to go under,
for me, Garcelle, like in the perfect world,
I don't think I'd go under 40.
Okay.
But let me say Timothy Shamala.
Oh yeah.
Oh my God.
He's a cutie, number one.
We could get dressed together because he's such a great dresser. We could, oh my God. He's a cutie. Number one, we could get dressed together because he's such a great dresser.
We could. Oh, my God.
And also like a phenomenal actor, like like just a he is a phenomenal actor.
Yeah. And with Kylie Jenner, although not as I don't really know.
OK, we always ask our guests, like, do you have any favorite fictional moms,
like moms from TV or movies
that you have always loved or maybe reminded you of your mom or any?
You know who I love? This is going way back. What was the show with Valerie Brittanelli?
Bonnie. What was Valerie? Was it Eight is a Not?
One day at a time. One day at a time. One day at a time.
One day at a time. Her mom was so cool.
Her mom was so cool. Her mom was so cool.
I love that.
Oh, Claire Huxtable was definitely cool.
Iconic.
You know?
Yeah.
Because she was also like, I mean, she's a lawyer, correct?
I mean, she was like very accomplished.
Oh, OK.
Tracee Ellis Ross on Blackish.
Oh, she's amazing.
And funny and she does it all.
Yeah, exactly.
Now, I know you've got to go.
You have somewhere else to run and talk about the movie.
And we love talking to you, but we have to just try.
Do you have any intel for next season of Beverly Hills that you can share with us?
Season 14 is going to be really good.
I want to come back and talk to you guys at the end of the season.
Because now that I know they're your fan,
I want to hear what you thought.
But I think there's so many good moments
and friendships that are changing
and friendships that are dissolving
that there might not even, I don't know,
can we get them in a room together?
I mean, explosive.
Okay, okay. Oh, I mean explosive. Okay. Okay. Oh, I love yeah
Yeah, okay
