Okay, so I have someone super dope sitting next to me. I was up till like four o'clock in the morning watching his new comedy special. And play-by-play on Bravo,
Starting point is 00:02:22 I have two-time Emmy-nominated host and comedian Michael Yeo. Yes, what's up? How are you? I am so happy to be here. Thank you for having me on. Yes. First, I want to say happy birthday. I know.
Starting point is 00:02:32 I'm getting old. And here's what's sad. I'm with you and my wife and son are in Houston right now. Aw. Yeah, so you're my birthday present, I guess. Oh, well, happy birthday. Well, thank you. Thank you for being here.
Starting point is 00:02:45 No, I love it. I love it. So wait, are you still based in Houston? Oh, well, happy birthday. Well, thank you. Thank you for being here. No, I love it. I love it. So wait, are you still based in Houston? No, I'm in LA. Okay. But my wife and son, they went to go visit my parents because I'm leaving on Wednesday to go visit them for Thanksgiving. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Awesome. So I'm excited, yeah. Cool. Well, thanks for being here. You bet. I have so much to talk to you about. Bring it. Bring it.
Starting point is 00:03:03 We are Bravo fam. Yes, we are now. We are Bravo fam. And we did play by play Jerry O'Connell, Brendan Schaub and Dave Holmes. And it did so well. So we're excited, you know, knock on wood. But I think it's looking good. I think it's looking good.
Starting point is 00:03:17 Yeah, I like it. Do you go through anxiety of if the show is going to get picked up for the next season or not going to get picked up? See, now that we're on season seven and with where our storylines are going, we're like, how are they not going to pick us up? But still, every year up until April, until we get that green light, we're like, but are they going to? Are they not? Like, we don't know.
Starting point is 00:03:38 It's really nerve-wracking because we're in that situation where everybody's like, oh, looks good. Ratings were great. And then we'll let you know in like a couple weeks. And then it's like everything's a couple weeks. So, you know, they got to let us know soon because there's rumors they want to shoot it early next year. So you just never know.
Starting point is 00:03:55 So fingers crossed. But I had fun doing it. It was great. Awesome. Yeah. See, and ours isn't like a couple weeks. It's like we're going to let like 18 episodes air and then let you know. So we're like just like on edge all year. We're like, so do we need to start looking for extra jobs?
Starting point is 00:04:11 Like how long do you hold out before you like try to find another job? Like what episode do they have to hit before you're like, okay, what's going on? That's why I'm doing this. This is my other job. Okay. So you're planning ahead. Yeah. That's great. Exactly. I started this earlier this year. I was living in Vegas. I headlined a show out there. It was an off-Broadway comedy. Very nice.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Scripted. So much fun. Live show. Audience interactive. It was amazing. So I was doing that because it's like you never know if the show is going to get picked up. And while I was doing that, I got an offer to do this here, Shenanigans at Podcast One. So I started doing that.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Then we got picked up, and I'm like, cool, now I have like three jobs. See? Yeah. And you've got to keep – that's one thing I do. I do so many things because you know Hollywood. It's the only place where you can have a lot going on. Yeah. But nothing going on at the same time.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Oh, totally. Because it's all like, yeah, it might happen. It might not happen. Who knows if it happens? So you've got to keep throwing stuff out there. Yeah, and that's how I kind of feel right now. I've been traveling a lot, and I'm like, yeah, it might happen. It might not happen. Who knows if it happens? So you got to keep throwing stuff out there. Yeah, and that's how I kind of feel right now. I've been traveling a lot, and I'm like, okay, I mean, I do this once a week. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:10 There's six other days in the week. So you need other things to do. While we're not filming, so I just got back into the recording studio. Oh, look at that. Yeah. Look at you. Okay, so are you excited about this? I am.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Nervous? Both. Okay. Yes, it's not going to be on the show at all next season. It was just something that I decided. I was really considering going back to Vegas and doing my show again because I had so much fun. But where I was at in my life when it started, I was going through a breakup. It was a perfect time to move somewhere for the first time.
Starting point is 00:05:40 I've never left Southern California. Like, why would I leave it? I'm from here. Did you like Vegas? I loved it. Really? I really did. But I leave it? I'm from here. Did you like Vegas? I loved it. Really? I really did. But I was also,
Starting point is 00:05:47 I was working six nights a week. So I was on a schedule there. I did eight shows a week. We had two Fridays, two Saturdays. And then everybody that was going there loved you already because that's why they're going to see your show. No?
Starting point is 00:05:57 Most did. You know, would have those few haters. No one threw like tomatoes at me, thankfully. But, you know, I mean, there were some reviews of just, you know, people just being rude like oh it wasn't funny wasn't i'm like really what show were you at because everyone was laughing does it affect you the negative ratings especially like on a show it's different when you're with a cast right when it's you you
Starting point is 00:06:19 know on a show and they're grading you yeah i, I try not to let it bother me. When I was in Vegas, I mean, the writing was so good that I'm like, it's not a bad show. And we are funny because the writing's funny. Like, our delivery was good. So I didn't let that bother me because I'm like, oh, you just are a miserable person. Exactly. Asking 98% of the people who came to that show, they were laughing their asses off. You know what I call those people? What?
Starting point is 00:06:43 That, like, attack you on social media? Thumb thugs. Thumb social media? Thumb thugs. Thumb thugs. Thumb thugs. I like this. They're straight up thumb thugs. That's all they got is their thumbs. Yep.
Starting point is 00:06:51 They would never tell you anything in your face. Oh, no. Oh, but they'll attack you with a cat picture in their profile, and they'll just write all types of things. Yeah. Thumb thugs. I know. I'm like, I challenge you guys to come into Sir, see me, and say one thing you commented
Starting point is 00:07:04 on my Instagram to my face. I will buy you a drink. That offer still stands. I will buy you a drink. Nobody has come in yet and said it? Nope. Nope. I've been saying this since February.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Not one person has insulted me to my face. They know they'll get the beat down. That's why. Yeah. She's like, yeah. You know? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:20 You're tough. I know. I am. And I don't take shit. Like, I will stand up for myself. Good for you. I will stand up for other people. There was, I know you've been to TomTom, right?
Starting point is 00:07:30 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay, so a couple weeks ago, there was a very drunk customer there who, I can deal with it. I've been working in a restaurant half my life, literally. I can deal with drunk customers, just kind of shug them off, like, whatever. It's just like, it doesn't bother. I mean, it bothers me, but I'm not going to make a scene out of it.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Once he started being rude to these two women who would not stand up for themselves, I was like, okay. Now I got to say something. I grab the security guy. He comes over. I'm like, I'm not saying kick him out. Like, I'm not trying to make a scene. Just, if you can just remove him from this area. The guy starts going crazy, swinging everywhere.
Starting point is 00:08:04 They have to, like, drag him out by his ankles. No guy starts going crazy, swinging everywhere. They have to like drag him out by his ankles. No, just like at the security guard. And he's literally like punching, like trying to punch people, grab people's ankles. Like cops are called. I was like, oh my God. Oh my God. I feel like this is all my fault. But it was like, I was standing up for these two women who wouldn't stand up for themselves.
Starting point is 00:08:20 And were they appreciative? They were. No, they were so appreciative. What are you doing? They said he had been bothering them for like an hour. I was like, why didn't you say anything? They're like, you know, we're fans of the show. We didn't want to cause a big deal.
Starting point is 00:08:31 And I was just like, no, this isn't okay. Like Tom, Tom, Ken, and Lisa, they don't want people in here like this harassing their customers. And it's amazing. For the first time I went to, when our show got picked up, I went there with Jerry O'Connell, Dave Holmes. Yes. And we were there. And all you guys hang out there.
Starting point is 00:08:45 That's what's so cool about TomTom. I'll be there tonight if you want to come get a drink. There you go. So what's amazing about it is when we walked up, it's a line around the block to get in that place. And those are hardcore fans that are coming in there too, along with other Hollywood people. But it's so cool to see how usually you see restaurants and the people are never there. Yeah. It's different when you go and the people are never there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:05 It's different when you go there. Like, everybody's there. Yes. Everybody. Pretty much every night I feel like there's, I mean, whether it's Tom or Tom. Yeah. I happen to be there a lot lately. Can't say why, but there's just.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Do fans hit on you a lot? Like guy fans? Oh my God. The other night. So, okay. like guy fans oh my god the other night so okay um i'm dating i'm single but i am dating someone who happens to also be there a lot not like one of the toms or anything like that but is he on the show no okay no no no but um so i'm there often and the other night my girlfriend she's one of the bartenders there mindy and she texted me from like across the bar and she was, oh my God, question of the night is, um, if I were to ask Sheena out, do you think
Starting point is 00:09:48 she would say yes? And I go, oh my God, the guy who keeps trying to buy me drinks. And she goes, oh, he was just one of four. And she goes, I know. And she goes, but don't worry. Like a classy lady. If it's someone hot, I'll send them your way. And I was like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Don't send anyone my way. Like I'm good. I don't super hot. No, because I'm, I'm interested in one person right now and i'm just trying to like slow my dating roll see where this might go because trust me i've had a lot of fun this year being single okay okay but also when it is a fan i don't trust their motives and intentions like why why do you want to buy me a drink why do you want to talk to me the guy you're dating did you know him before you started this show? No.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Then how do you know he's not a fan? I'll tell you after. I can't give too much away on air right now. Okay, Michael? All right. Sorry. It's a private conversation. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:34 I'm so sorry. This is like my small announcement. I'm all up in your business. Sorry about that. No, but just he's friends with my friends. Okay. No problem. I know you can't reveal it.
Starting point is 00:10:45 It's probably for the show. So we're going to keep it. No, it's actually. It's not. It's recent. Oh, like how recent? Like a few weeks. Oh.
Starting point is 00:10:53 But like, I'll tell you later. A few weeks. Just, I'm saying it's just, it's a recent person I'm interested in that I didn't want a bunch of guys coming up and hitting on me when I was there. Was he there too? Yes. He was there as well. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:05 But if he wasn't there, you would take some drinks? No, really? Wow. After a couple weeks? It was also my no-carb day. So I was like, I'm not drinking today. And this guy would not take no for an answer. And he keeps coming up.
Starting point is 00:11:16 And I'm just like trying to be nice and entertain him. Come on. Y'all have the trick. I know a bunch of girls that work at bars. And they have the trick where, oh, yeah, you'll charge them for the drink. I wasn't working. Oh. But you know all the bartenders.
Starting point is 00:11:29 They'll send you like a blank drink with nothing in it, and you kind of just, oh, okay, thanks. He was ordering me rosé, so there's not really like a fake rosé. Yeah. But I was like, you know what? I'll give you that. Like, I like your style. Like, I said no, and you still took the initiative to get me a rosé. Come back.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Try to talk to me more. I was like, all right, smooth move. Okay. But I have now, my friend said, he goes, Sheena, this is the seventh time you told him you're not drinking. Like, literally, I said, no, no, no, I'm not drinking tonight. I drove. I'm not doing carbs.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Oh, in one night you told him so? In one night. Like, this was like within like 10 minutes. Like, I've told him seven times, and he still comes back with a rosé. And I'm like, I'm just going to pass it to the next person because, again, I'm not drinking tonight. But thank you. How many no-carb days do you have? I do every other right now.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Every other? Yeah. So I'm doing like yesterday was no carbs. Today is like healthy carbs. Tomorrow is no carbs. What's a healthy carb? Every other day. So I know.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Brown rice, quinoa, yams. Do you feel the pressure to look a certain way? Corn tortillas. On TV? No, not necessarily for TV, just for myself. Okay, good. I like to look in the mirror and feel good because I've been like anorexic skinny and I've been like overweight for my height to me, especially on camera.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Like I had like a 30 pound weight gain and loss. Really? So I'm right now smack in the middle. And you feel good? And I feel so good okay but after vegas i mean there are so many good restaurants to eat out there and i put on 10 pounds which was great because most went to my ass so i wasn't mad at that and guys like that yeah so i was like okay but then it was like i kind of got back it's football season i went to like the world series
Starting point is 00:13:04 and the playoffs. So then I'm drinking beer again. And I just noticed my stomach wasn't as flat as it had been. So my trainer challenged me to do a carb cycling meal plan until Thanksgiving. So I'm doing that. And it's been working. I'm already noticing differences. Did he give you the plan too? Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Oh, cool. Yeah. So it's going well. But he was like, on your no carb days, no alcohol. And I was like, OK, not a problem. So I've been doing this a few weeks now. And I was like, you know what? I'm just curious.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Not that I'm an alcoholic by any means. But there are a lot of events. There's a lot of things I drive a lot, too, because I live on the West Side. So I don't drink nearly as much as I used to. But the other day it was a carb day and I didn't have my car. And all my friends were like, oh, let's go get a drink. And I was like, I can't. It's my no-carb day.
Starting point is 00:13:46 And they're like, so just drink Tito's. And I was like, well, no, it's still. It's alcohol. It's vodka. It's carbs. I Googled on like 17 different websites. No carbs and Tito's. So you're good.
Starting point is 00:13:55 So I texted my trainer. I go, you lied. You said I couldn't have alcohol on my no-carb days. But I heard alcohol just like, even if you're, it just destroys. It turns into sugar and turns into carbs and it's still yeah there you go there's no carbs in it when you drink but it'll turn into exactly so we're doing the every other day okay right now all right could you see yourself not drinking one day oh yeah i mean i if i'm ever pregnant like yes i mean i would i would probably give it up then okay okay good Okay. Good. Good. That would work. That would work.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Yeah. But I was married to someone who had a drinking and drug problem. Yeah. And I went sober for a couple months with him just to support. And then it got to the point where he was like, okay, now you're making me uncomfortable. Like, you don't have the problem I do. Like, if you want to go out and have a drink with your friends, like, it's fine. But I was dry for, like, all of the holidays for a couple months and then once he was like encouraging me to like go out for girls night
Starting point is 00:14:49 or go wine tasting i was like okay but we just did not keep alcohol in the house whatsoever you can't no i haven't had a drink in like 15 years wow i didn't have a problem it's just i i think and this is gonna sound stupid but i think I'm allergic to alcohol. Okay. Because. That's a thing, though. No, I think. James Kennedy is allergic to agave. Really?
Starting point is 00:15:08 He can't drink tequila anymore. Like, if I drink, I will have a headache with one drink for three days. And it doesn't matter what it is. Any type of alcohol. So, I mean, it's helped me. So, I, but I can't drink. Yeah. I literally can't go out and have a drink because I know I'm going to suffer for three or four days.
Starting point is 00:15:23 And it's a headache that won't go out and have a drink because I know I'm going to suffer for three or four days. And it's a headache that won't go away. I just heard that John Mayer has been sober for the past two years because of Drake's birthday party. He went on a six-day binger. What is that? I had a friend do that. He came to my birthday party. I threw it on top of the W Hotel.
Starting point is 00:15:38 And it was like 300 people. But he got so wasted. My parents were there and all the people we knew were there. And he was falling down. And this dude's big, like a big guy. And he was just falling. Like he has girls there. He was hitting on other girls there.
Starting point is 00:15:52 It was just a mess. It would have been perfect for your TV show. Yeah. That sounds like Vanderbilt rules. It sounds like Vanderbilt rules. He would have been perfect. But three days later, he calls me. And you know it's bad when your friends don't even say bye to you.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Yeah. Because they're so embarrassed. Oh, yeah. So three days later, he calls me. And you know it's bad when your friends don't even say bye to you. Yeah. Because they're so embarrassed. Oh, yeah. So three days later, he calls me and says, I'm so sorry. And then he went dry for like a year. Oh, wow. But now he's back on it. But still, it affected him that much.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Totally. It was bad. It was bad. I can definitely go without alcohol. Even when I moved back from Vegas, I think it was like the first month of filming, I wasn't drinking. Okay. And then after that, it was like an engagement part.
Starting point is 00:16:25 And they're like all these things to celebrate. And I was like, again, I don't have a drinking problem. I just like to for health reasons, like, you know, go clean for a few weeks and just give my liver a break. It's training. Yeah. It's just like working out. Right. And like, I'll drink often, like probably four nights a week, but I don't drink a lot.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Like that might be two Tito's and sodas over eight hours. hours okay i'm known to be a sipper or a chugger so like if you're gonna challenge me like oh you're gonna babysit your drink i'm like chug get me another one there you go or i will just live on it okay so have you ever been on a date with a fan um that came into a bar like a fan like not a fan but like people who have like known who I am, but not like a super fan. Okay. There is this one guy who, not going to lie, tried to meet up with in Chicago a couple weeks ago. He's probably listening.
Starting point is 00:17:13 You know who you are. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. But from before Vanderpump Rules, like my acting days, like just guest starring on shows, like doing radio and stuff, this guy had like reached out to me on twitter and like my sister and i have done like deep research we're like is this a person who's catfishing me because he's really good looking okay but anytime i was ever in chicago that's where he lives i was either had a boyfriend married engaged or new boyfriend whatever it was
Starting point is 00:17:42 so i was there a few weeks ago and i'm like okay i'm single and he saw like my story and was like you're in chicago and didn't tell me like send me a message on twitter and i was like well let's meet up it was like halloween but i guess he lives in like the suburbs and it was too far and i was like well there was your chance i think it's a catfish you know that's the only reason that i wanted him to come. Because I'm like, but there's like, we've looked on Facebook, Instagram, like friends, Instagrams. And like my sister, I was like, research this guy. And he's real.
Starting point is 00:18:12 And we're pretty sure he's real. Look, all I know, if a guy really wants to meet up with a girl and she's in town, he's going to find a way to meet up with that girl. So it's either a catfish or not to take this wrong. He's married or has something else going on. Something, right? Something else is going on in his life. That's why I was like, it's not like I'm not going to date this guy.
Starting point is 00:18:30 I was just so interested after like eight years of this person reaching out, complimenting me, being a fan, not in a creepy way whatsoever. But it is creepy for a person to reach out for eight years. But it's been on the freaking internet for eight years, you know? Yeah, that's no. And I was with a group of guys. So I was like, this is a safe setting to try and meet this person. So you're bringing a random guy into the worst situation ever. Like that's so intense.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Hey, I'm a guy, but I got like nine guys with me. That is so awful for him. It was like four guys and four girls. It was a group setting. It was Halloween, but he didn't come. So I'm convinced still he's probably a catfish. Were you bummed about that a little bit? No, because I had just started talking to the person I'm telling you about earlier.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Okay, all right, all right. I'll fill you in on that. I'll give you the tea. I can't give my listeners it just yet because too soon. It's just too soon. too soon it's just too soon but I will say no one's really just
Starting point is 00:19:27 caught and captured my interest this much since my ex-boyfriend but that's all I'm going to say because we have a whole season of Vanderpump Rules coming up what December what is it? December 3rd there it is
Starting point is 00:19:42 I've interviewed Lisa several times. And I love Lisa. And I know she just left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Okay, let's talk about this. Because I just saw all of this like an hour ago. And I'm like, I need the deets. No, which I think is amazing because she's way better than others. She doesn't need the show.
Starting point is 00:19:59 She does. I mean. And let's be honest, our show is better. My thing is, when she's on that show, she's just so classy and so above everybody else. And it seems like the other people just want that success she has. So, I hate to say this, it's almost like, I don't want to call them, see, that's the wrong word. I was going to say bottom feeders, but I don't want to say bottom feeders. That word is too critical of those ladies on that show.
Starting point is 00:20:25 But Lisa is on such a different level than everybody. She is. Even if you got money on that show, she's still on a different – she got money too. Yes. So it's not about money and it's not about – to her, to me, with her, you get the humanity of it. Really, I care about people. I want them to do well. Helping TomTom out with the bar.
Starting point is 00:20:46 She's just into helping people where I think the other people are into drama. That's why she kind of moved away last year. She was like, eh, I don't need this. I'm not saying she's too old because she's not old, but she's too old for that shit. I feel like I'm too old for that shit sometimes. It's just like, come on, you guys.
Starting point is 00:21:01 I think it's not too, because look, you know how TV works. People crave fame. Of course. A lot of people crave fame. But I don't think she's too old for it. I just think she's above it now. Okay, yes. That's a better way to put it.
Starting point is 00:21:12 You know, she's just like, eh. Yeah. Because everybody wants fame, money, and TV. For sure. You know, pretty much, as long as it doesn't affect your personal life. Yeah. And I think it got to a point where, you know what? I don't need it.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Like, Heather Dubrow, leave it. Like, she didn't need it. Yeah Heather Dubrow, leave it. Like she didn't need it. She did it for a couple seasons. And if anyone could come back, I would want her to come back. But it's a thing where they don't need it. Right. They just built like a whatever million dollar house. You know, they're living their best life.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Definitely. So it did what it needed for them. Yeah. And I think that's the way to go into any reality show. Once you get what you need out of it, you leave. And it's been nine years. Like she's been on the show for like a them. Yeah. And I think that's the way to go into any reality show. Once you get what you need out of it, you leave. And it's been nine years. Like, she's been on the show for like a decade. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:50 And when you have another show more successful than that one, which she's also an executive producer and cast member on, it's like, why give yourself double the amount of work when you don't need the money? And one side, she runs. And the other side, she's part of it. Exactly. You know what I mean? you don't need the money and one side she runs and the other side she's part of it exactly you know what i mean and i can't imagine what that's like for lisa to go from being head bitch in charge on vanderpump rules to then being just a cast member who has no say in how she's edited
Starting point is 00:22:15 and then housewives the the beverly hills house i was trying to reach out to her going why don't you want to talk to us and she's just like oh not oh, not again. I'm done. And good for her. I'm happy. I mean, we all saw this last year coming. And you guys probably saw it before us. But I just say, I love her so much. I know. She's awesome.
Starting point is 00:22:33 She's amazing. And she really has given all of us such a platform and opportunity with this show that we're all, I mean, like forever indebted to her. I think I owe her my firstborn. Oh, there you go. I think that was part of my contract I signed. Is that what it is? You got to, if it's a girl, you got to name her Lisa.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Right. Okay. Okay. Middle name Vanderpump. I got it. I got it. I got it. See, you're all on the same page.
Starting point is 00:22:56 I like this. I like this. Yeah. But no, I love Lisa. So, um, I need to talk to her about this just because, you know, you can't always believe what you read, but then it was like story after story after story. And I was like, okay, I need to know. And I was like talking to her about this just because, you know, you can't always believe what you read. But then it was like story after story after story. And I was like, okay, I need to know. And I was like talking to Pandora.
Starting point is 00:23:08 I was literally having lunch at Villa Blanca earlier. And I'm like, do I ask? Do I not? And I'm like, maybe I'll see them at TomTom later and I can find out in person. Oh, she'll be there. Yeah. Oh, you know she's going to be there. She's going to be living her best.
Starting point is 00:23:18 If I were her, I would throw a party tonight. And that's how I've seen her at TomTom recently. And she just appears to be living her best life. Because she has no responsibility anymore. Yeah. Because right now they'd probably be shooting right now because I don't think they wrapped yet. So they're probably still shooting. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:32 And this is probably part of the storyline for this year. Yeah. Because it started when Denise Richards got married. Uh-huh. And they're still shooting. So this is probably going to be in the middle of their season. Yeah, because I think they just were in, like somewhere as a cast trip, but Lisa didn't go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:49 So this is going to be – they all come back. I see it right now. They all come back, and the next promo is, Lisa's not on the show. Right. I'm leaving all you bitches. Yeah. Boom. And then that's another huge storyline, and now you get to see how it's going to play out.
Starting point is 00:24:02 That's what's so great about this reality show too. You know what I mean? That's what's so great about it. You get to see it in the going to play out that's what's so great about this reality yeah too you know what i mean that's what's so great about them you get to see it in the news yeah it's kind of like the kardashians you see everything happening yeah and then in real time and then you see it yeah you get to go back and really see it yes i don't know how y'all do it because you you do something and then months later you see it but you see what how other people talk about you that would be tough me. This is why we all have our medical marijuana cards. There you go. That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Yeah, and I'm like, whatever. You got to blow it off, right? Yeah. Yeah. And especially when you're in a different place with someone. Usually, I mean, hopefully in a better place where it's like, okay, maybe in May when we started filming, we weren't on talking talking terms or even friends but by the end of it and now in november we are so i'm like i'm not gonna let something someone said about me in may when we weren't talking or getting along affect me seven months later when we're in a good place but some people will let that however however there are
Starting point is 00:24:59 those things that are said that i'm like you know know what, bitch? That wasn't cool. See? I know. I know. That's why I couldn't do what y'all do. Yeah. Like, I just don't like people talking crap about me. And then to go back and watch it. Yeah. And when they're my friend and then they're, oh, it's terrible.
Starting point is 00:25:14 No, last season, I, like, mid-season stopped watching. And then we got all of the reunion episodes just, like, sent to us and had two nights to watch. So I have eight episodes. And I was I was just like doing my show in Vegas. I don't have time for eight hours of this shit, nor do I want to watch my last relationship. And then Stassi's not with her boyfriend anymore. And Kristen and I weren't talking. So I'm fast forwarding, fast forwarding, fast forwarding.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Then we get to filming the reunion. Andy asks me a question about Stassi and Patrick. And I was like, uh, and he goes, do you fast about Stassi and Patrick. And I was like, uh. And he goes, do you fast forward through other people's scenes? And I was like, yes, I do. Yes. However, what people, like, didn't hear, didn't pay attention, I've said it numerous times in interviews, is I also mainly fast forwarded through my own scenes. Because I didn't want to watch my ex-boyfriend be an asshole to me anymore.
Starting point is 00:26:03 So I was like, yeah, I'm fast forwarding through others, but I'm also mainly fast forwarding through myself. It's amazing how women like you can stay with a guy that treats them so bad when it's obvious to everyone else. See, but I didn't see it. And then, because he didn't, okay, I don't want to say, he didn't treat me bad. It was just more one-sided in the sense
Starting point is 00:26:22 where I was way more in and he wasn't. Like, he focused on work dog family car and then me oh and travel was like above me and then me was like him him him vanderpump rules him him family it was just like I put him above everything in my life do you do that with all your guys you date I put them all I I tend to yes you love hard i do okay if i'm not a bad thing with someone like that's my priority but what i've now realized from my last relationship is i can't let that consume my whole life i can't make that person my whole life it has to be someone who blends into my life and we make each other's better it doesn't take away from work i'm not
Starting point is 00:27:03 taking away from their work and it just needs to be more of like a team thing. If the right guy came along and says, leave the show. The only way I'll be with you if you leave the show and I want to run off and have a kid and be married. And I just don't want any drama of the show. Would you do that? That's not the right guy. Cause the right guy wouldn't make me quit my job. See, this is where I got a big discussion with some of the OC housewives because to me that you would leave it if you really love this dude. I said that in my last relationship. I told him I would leave the show for him. He was like, I would never let you do that.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Well, then he's not the right guy. To me, the right guy, because if you notice in these shows, most of the guys, unless they want to be famous, most of the guys that really love the woman don't want to be in the show. Oh, yeah. Or they're in it a little bit. I don't ever want another relationship on Vanderpump Rules. Okay. I don't know that that's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Oh, it's going to happen. It just – But you just said if he's not the right guy because he won't be on TV with you. See, I don't think the right guy would give me that ultimatum. I think maybe, you know, suggest that I have a conversation about why it's not healthy for the relationship or what other job opportunities. Everything's not healthy. I know, but. Everything's not healthy about the relationship.
Starting point is 00:28:17 There. You know what a reality is. Drama. It starts with the word D. Drama. I know. Because if there's no drama in your relationship, guess what? You're not on the show anymore.
Starting point is 00:28:28 So you have to create drama. We all know how reality TV works. I'm not dumb. I know how it works. So a guy saying, I don't want drama in my life. I just want to be with you and have a family. Would you leave the show? And if you're like, well, if you don't accept me for being on the show. So basically you would be saying, you don't accept all my drama that I want to create in our relationship to be on this show.
Starting point is 00:28:50 I see what you're saying. And I think that now seven seasons in, if it were the right person, if that was a determining factor in lifelong happiness or another maybe one season. Then yes. You know, because you never know. I'm not guaranteed five more years on Vanderpump Rules. No one is. And also I'm talking from a guy that would be established and could support. Right.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Because this is your job too. Yeah. He's not telling you he could support and do whatever. See, but that's another thing about me is I am a very independent woman. You got your podcast. You do podcasts all day. I spent my 16th birthday getting my driver's license and a job. Literally, I don't ever want to rely on a man, a parent, a friend, anyone for money.
Starting point is 00:29:34 But you could do this podcast every day. I could. That would be your job. And I love doing this. See? And it would be huge. Yeah. Like it already is, but it would be bigger because your audience, you would get it.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Bravo's going to get so mad at me. They're going to go, why are you trying to talk her out of the show? Why are you trying to get her off Vanderpump Rules? Andy Cohen is going to call me directly on my birthday. Happy birthday, Mike. Play by play, you're not on it anymore. There you go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:56 It would take a lot for me to walk away. I love my job. I love the show, my friends, even the people when we're not getting along with them. We have made this show together. It's an ensemble cast. job i love my the show my friends even the people when we're not getting along with them like we have made this show together it's an ensemble cast it's not continuing because of any one person or one storyline although jax taylor would probably like to think it's because of him okay that guy that guy is the worst the worst i love jax he's one of my closest friends on camera he is the worst he does a lot of dumb shit.
Starting point is 00:30:27 On camera, he's probably a nice guy in real life. He is. On camera, the worst guy ever. The worst. I binge everything. Like, I don't know what happens to the end because I binge all the shows. Okay. I can't watch it. I'm just too busy to watch.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Oh, this week. So what I do is after the season, like after your next season, I'll binge everything at once so I know it. So it's sort of like I'm a couple months behind. If it takes three months to play, unless Bravo sends me a link where I can binge it all at once. But if I don't have that, I wait until the shows are all over. Like the OC, I'm up to like seven. But I know they're going to shoot like what, 22, 20, something like that. So I'll wait now to the end and then I'll binge everything at once.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Atlanta. 20 episodes? Huh? Yeah. Like, wow. Yeah. I mean, not at one sitting. I was going to say.
Starting point is 00:31:12 No, no, no. But over two weeks, I'll be like, okay, this is the OC week. I'll binge 20 episodes. Like Atlanta, they just started. I'll wait till it's finished and then just binge everything. What is yours and your wife's favorite show on Bravo? On Bravo? Play-by-play.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Other than your own, obviously. Well, my wife doesn't like the housewives. Oh, okay. So she's not like a housewives fan. Oh, no, no, no. Because she hates drama. My wife is from Wyoming. She's sweet.
Starting point is 00:31:39 She's not. She's gorgeous, by the way. And so is your kid. Your little panda. My little panda. He's black, white, nation. So adorbs. We gave birth to a panda.
Starting point is 00:31:48 And my wife is such a sweet. She's way better than me. You know, like I totally married up. She's amazing. She's like, she's the opposite of me. Like she likes people. You know, she does. I mean, she's giving.
Starting point is 00:32:01 She's just an amazing person. She's awesome. She's awesome. But she doesn't like drama at all. She grew up in like a Brady Bunch type of house. Oh, okay. Like literally it's just an amazing person. She's awesome. She's awesome. But she doesn't like drama at all. She grew up in like a Brady Bunch type of house. Oh, okay. Like literally it's the Brady Bunch. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:10 You know, so she hates drama. Gotcha. Like we, I think, I know we've been married almost three years. We've been dating for like five. Uh-huh. And we've gotten in one fight. That's amazing. One fight.
Starting point is 00:32:22 And the fight was over the most ridiculous thing. It was over, it's kind of like, oh, you said this. No, I didn't. No, you did. Yeah. And that was it. Like literally it was the only time we ever fought about anything. See, that's goals.
Starting point is 00:32:37 It is goals. And I used to hear about relationships like that because my parents never argued. Like I've never seen them argue. Yeah. And they've been married 47 years. So it's a thing where, but they like to play fight. Uh-huh. Like, they like to jazz, you know, but it's fun.
Starting point is 00:32:51 It's never mean. Right. You know what I mean? But, nah, it's crazy. It's crazy to be, I'm a very selfish person. Uh-huh. But after I have my son, I'm the most, like, sensitive. I cry at everything.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Aw. Commercials. Like, I'll cry on the plane when i watch it like fat here's a terrible example fast and furious came out with a movie with jason statham the latest one yeah and they were trying to save a baby off a plane and you know the baby's gonna be all right but i'm crying going save the baby save the baby and i'm like the baby's gonna be fine but i i just get emotional with babies now. Do you watch This Is Us? Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:33:27 Yes. Do you cry every episode? Not this year. I have not cried once this year. But the first two seasons, I cried every episode. And that is the only show I don't binge. I watch it episode by episode. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:39 That is the one show I do that for. I do, too. It's so good. It's amazing. I think that show is going to go on for at least 10 years oh it's with the way they do the flashbacks and flash forwards and then the current like i i yeah and i just love everything about it i love sterling k brown my love ventimiglia mandy moore justin hartley like all of the Chrissy Metz, yeah. And they just got announced she got a boyfriend now.
Starting point is 00:34:05 A new boyfriend named Hal. And I go to church. This church is called Southside. It's an 818 church. It's in Burbank. But like he's in the band, the church band. Yeah. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:34:17 His name is Hal. So he goes to my church. So what up? And that girl can sing. Yes. She's amazing. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:24 I mean, I'm so happy for the whole cast. They're the nicest people. Have you ever had someone from the cast on your show? So I know Justin Hartley and his wife. But I wanted to get them on my podcast. And Chris Shell said that Justin had a really bad experience with the podcast. And he said he wasn't doing them anymore. I'm like, but it's me.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Oh, my God. So I'm slowly trying to get some of them on. But I want to start with Justin. Yeah. That's what I'm like. I want to know how bad this went because I'm like, cause how could you be mean to Justin? He's like the nicest person in the world.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Yeah. Justin Hartley is amazing. I know. Amazing. Yeah. They're great. So, okay.
Starting point is 00:34:58 I want to get into play by play and stuff, but I see, I was on your website last night and I see that you're touring right now. Yes. So I'm going to be at Washington, D.C., December 21st, 22nd. And then starting in January, I kick off my Blasian tour because I'm black and Asian. So we're kicking off that tour, and the special comes out November 27th in seven days. Yes, one week.
Starting point is 00:35:21 One week. So I'm excited about that. And the comedy special, no politics in it. It's all family. It's all family comedy where you and your mom can watch it and you would laugh together. And that's what I want to do. I want to bring people together through comedy and not tear people apart with politics. So now I know there are so many places that you can get tickets for your show.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Is Vivid Seats one of them by chance? I don't know Vivid Seats is one of them, but I know Vivid Seats. Okay. Because I love the Lakers. Yeah. Well, I don't love the Lakers. I love to watch the Lakers lose. So I go to Lakers games to watch them lose.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Are you not a LeBron fan? Oh, no. I love what LeBron's doing for the community, but I am not a Lakers fan. Are you from LA? I am. Oh. I'm from Houston. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:07 So there you go. Yeah. Yeah. We're real. I did. My first private jet was to a Rockets game. A Lakers-Rockets game. I've never been on a private jet.
Starting point is 00:36:17 You're balling. What? No. No. I'm not special like you. Oh, stop it. I mean, I can count on one hand how many I've been on. La la, that's another story.
Starting point is 00:36:26 One hand over and over and over. Five, six, seven, eight. I just count with one hand, by the way. Yes. But, okay. So, sporting events, concerts, shows, all of that. Vivid Seats. I don't know if your show's on it.

Starting point is 00:37:19 I'm so angry. I didn't know that before I bought full-price tickets to Bruno Mars on Vivid Seats. Oh, wasn't that such a good show? I saw it on Tom and Ariana's Insta story. I mean, if you haven't experienced a Bruno Mars concert live, you're missing out. Yeah. He is the next generation. He's Michael Jackson of today.
Starting point is 00:37:40 When I was living in Vegas, I was so bummed that for some reason I was so busy with my show that I didn't realize he was right across. He has a residency there. Yeah, I didn't know that. Oh, my gosh. I know. So I need to go back and see his show because he is amazing. He's everything on stage. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Everything. I know. I love him. Very, very talented. I wish I could sing. Damn it. Me too. If I could come back as one person, it would be Bruno Mars.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Who would you come back as? Ooh. Hmm. Mine 100% Bruno Mars. That's tough. See, I want to say Britney Spears, but then she had 07. I don't know if I want to go through Britney shaved head and 07. Like Bruno Mars, I wish she just was a little taller.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Yeah. Because he's like 5'4", I think. If Kim Kardashian could dance and sing, I'd want to come back as her. Okay. Yeah. I like that. Yeah. If she could dance and sing.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Yes. So not Kim Kardashian then. You know, but everything else about her I love. Okay. You love? Yes. Okay. I do.
Starting point is 00:38:37 But she's super nice. Yes. I got to reference, she's super nice. No, they all are so nice. It was just at the People's choice awards last week and i was sitting at the table right next to them and i've met all of them a few times i've met chloe the most and we made eye contact and she smiled and waved to me and then after they won our award she came by and gave me a kiss on the cheek don't be salty like hey hon hey dog sorry you lost yeah but no
Starting point is 00:39:02 i said congratulations obviously it was the E! People's Choice Awards. We knew they were going to win. They knew they were going to win. The speech was on the teleprompter. But you're an NBCUniversal family. Yeah, exactly. You could have won. I think if it was really about the votes and they really did win based on the votes, we would have been in second.
Starting point is 00:39:21 But you don't know who's second. But we don't. Yeah. Do we really know who was first? I'm just kidding. You would be second. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:28 I think so. I was bummed Andy Cohen didn't win. Right? I think he would have been awesome. But I get it. Jimmy Fallon. Of course. It's Jimmy Fallon.
Starting point is 00:39:35 He's the face of NBC. You know what I mean? James and I were at a separate table because we couldn't all fit at one table, the whole cast, and we were with the Jersey Shore girls. And they're like, so do you guys think you're going to win? And I wanted to be like, well, I think we're going to beat you. People still love those guys. I know.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Love them. And like, Pauly D is a friend of mine. I know Ronnie. And like, I love that show. But I just think nowadays, if it were about fans voting, I think we would have beat Jersey Shore Family Vacation. You definitely have the younger fans that are actually on their phones and voting. Totally.
Starting point is 00:40:06 I love it how you think it's a conspiracy that you lost. Like, you really feel it's a conspiracy against the Kardashians. I mean. One of the biggest reality shows in the world. Let's just say, if I wasn't on Vanderpump Rules, I would have voted for the Kardashians. Okay. So, it is my guilty pleasure. It is my personal favorite reality show.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Would you want to be on the Kardashians? Hell yeah. If they would pick you up? Yes. Why don't you be friends with them? You could look like you're part of the family in some kind of way. Thank you. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Schwartz calls me a bootleg Kardashian, and I'm like, I'll take it. You know, the whole thing is I worked with the Kardashians a lot back into my past, and people always go, the Kardashians a lot back into my past. And people always go, the Kardashians have no talent. There is a talent. They're businesswomen. They are billionaires. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:40:54 But there's a talent to get people to keep coming back to your TV show. Look how many reality shows fail. Yeah. They get people in big numbers to keep coming back. And that's a talent. Yeah. They're on like season 15. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:02 It's ridiculous. They're doing something right. Boom. So to all the Kardashian haters, I always have their back. Like, hardcore. I'm team Kardashian. Yeah, me too. Team Kardashian all the way. But their speech was on the teleprompter.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Like, they knew they were going to win. Everyone else's speech wasn't on the teleprompter, but theirs was. Oh, okay. That's the only reason we were all at all salty. There's some tea inside. But, you know. Inside the people, E-Choice, people award thingy. Okay, so tell me, how did Play By Play get started?
Starting point is 00:41:28 Are you and Jerry like old time friends? Okay. Or how did this come about? I've interviewed Jerry several times. And we just became really close and friends. And then I got this random call the night before the last audition for Play By Play. And they were like, hey, we think you'd be good on this show. And I go, okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Yeah, I'll watch Bravo. Yeah, I watch Bravo. Yeah, I binge it. And I went in and literally right there. They told us, here's the cast. And then two weeks later, we're in New York shooting it for three for three test episodes. And it did really well. And we're hearing good things. You just never know.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Yeah, but I think I think There's nothing like that on Bravo. No. And for women to comment and like it so much, it was kind of shocking because we were all worried. Will women feel like – how would they feel about guys talking about their shows? But we were very respectful to the women. Yes. If anybody we went in on, it was their husbands because, I mean, some of them are just ridiculous. Oh, totally. Ridiculous. But I think it's a connection for Bravo to step out and say, okay, there are female talk
Starting point is 00:42:32 shows with all women. Let's try something different. To even give it a shot was awesome to be a part of. And we really bonded on set. I mean, we shot it really quick, but we all keep in touch. Good. Like Brendan, Dave's on my, uh, Sirius XM radio show all the time.
Starting point is 00:42:47 And so is Jerry. He'll call in. He's, I just talked to him yesterday. He's in new Orleans shooting a movie with Katie Holmes. Oh, cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:53 So we all keep in touch. So I love the camaraderie and it's fun. It's fun to talk, talk, uh, uh, just talk it out with a Bravo show. I love it.
Starting point is 00:43:02 That's like a goal of mine is to have that type of entertainment, type of panel show. I went to school for broadcast journalism, got my degree in that. So I've always wanted to do hosting as well. If we come back, you've got to be on it. I would love that. Yeah. Absolutely. Because rumor is we're going to shoot it out here.
Starting point is 00:43:19 If it does come back, we'll be shooting it here. Yes. Oh, my God. Okay. That would be so fun. Yeah. We're going to do it. So what, I know you binge a lot of shows, but if you had to pick one Bravo show or like
Starting point is 00:43:32 Housewives franchise, what would you say your go-to or fave is? You know what? I really like, and this is why I like it. I like the OC because I actually can drive to the OC. You know, I like places where you get to like, where they did the roller. They had the park where they just strolled the babies around all the time. I was like, what park is that? I can actually go there.
Starting point is 00:43:52 I like that. I like the idea of OG housewives. They're crazy, but they don't go over the, I mean, they do go over the top at times. Where I just watched New Jersey. Yeah. I mean, I know it's more about family, but it's so like me, me, my idea of family is like, hey, let's all get along. Yeah. Their idea of family.
Starting point is 00:44:11 A little different. Let's just tear up shit and see where it lands. You know what I mean? Yeah. I can't. It just drives it like I'm like, oh, my God. No. No, I can't do that.
Starting point is 00:44:18 But to watch, like, you know, Vicky and Shannon and all these people on the OC, I like that. Beverly Hills, I just, you know, I'm not Hollywood, so Beverly Hills, I watch it, but it doesn't do it for me. Like, I just like OC, you know? And I watch a show that a lot of people don't watch, Married to Medicine. Those women, they're going through real shit. And it's awesome to watch. And they're, to me, they're the realest cast out there. They are drama.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Drama, but you can really tell they like each other and love each other. Nothing's manufactured on that show. That sounds like Vanderpump Rules. I've watched your show. Yeah, but ours is real. Even when it doesn't feel like it, it's not scripted drama. There's no way Jax could be like that. Oh, he
Starting point is 00:45:02 can be. Not in real life. If I were to meet him, if he were to walk in right now, I guarantee you he wouldn't be like that. To me. Not to you. But see, you know what I mean? But if he were to meet me. But he's been like that for real. But if he were to meet me on the show, he would be totally different.
Starting point is 00:45:17 That's what I'm saying. So you're saying he ups it for cameras. Yes. What I'm saying is if I walked into a bar and met you, you would be the same way as meeting me now. Yes. So, see? Agreed. Okay. I get what you're saying. Okay. So I want to talk about your comedy special, Blasian.
Starting point is 00:45:35 Yes. Blasian. It'll be out in one week, you guys. November 27th. It's going to be November 27th on on-demand across over 20 digital platforms. Yep. iTunes, Amazon. Including iTunes, Google Play. Amazon, everything. 27th on on-demand across over 20 digital platforms yep itunes google play amazon everything yes okay so i got the pleasure of having an early copy sent to me no way yeah so i watched it last night okay would you think be honest i was dying laughing i'm just sitting on my couch with my cats high by myself watching this i couldn't get it to hook up to my tv so i'm just watching it on my phone
Starting point is 00:46:04 and it was like two o'clock in the morning so i couldn't get it to hook up to my TV, so I'm just watching it on my phone. And it was like 2 o'clock in the morning, so I couldn't even text people about it. I was like, oh my God, you have to watch this when it comes out. You're so nice. But it was so funny. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Now, okay, are you an only child? Yes. Okay. That was what I was wondering. Yeah, I'm an only child. That's why I didn't talk about it. Right. Yeah, I was like, I think it's just him. Or I really hate them and didn't want to bring them no but i love it because it's all about my mom my dad you know my dad's black
Starting point is 00:46:30 my mom's asian i grew up in houston texas and all white neighbors and then you hear the story about how they met you hear the story about my wife and then how we met and then you it's it just it's a feel-good yeah type of comment like you don't feel dirty after. You just feel like, oh, this is inspiring. Yeah. And I don't care if you're on the left or right, Republican, Democrat. You can all laugh at family. Yeah. Because we all have that crazy person in our family.
Starting point is 00:46:54 It's kind of like a reality show. You get to see my comedy and my family in the background with pictures and stuff. Yeah. And it's kind of like my own reality show on stage going on. And you're meeting everybody and hearing crazy stories. No, it was so good. I was at lunch with my mom and I was just like repeating some of your jokes. Obviously, I couldn't do them as well as you.
Starting point is 00:47:10 But she was like, wait, I can't wait to watch this. It's a thing where – and that's how I got my Fox show off of it too. Fox saw it and had a meeting with me. And then they picked up my sitcom from the special. Yeah. Yeah. So I just feel good and I want people to check it out. Give it five stars and leave a meeting with me and then they picked up my sitcom from the special so yeah yeah so i just feel good and i want people to check it out give it five stars and leave a nice comment yes yeah so i'm very excited it was really good so wait okay how long have you been doing comedy
Starting point is 00:47:34 like eight and a half years not long wow that's it yeah chelsea handler i was on chelsea lady and she kind of pushed me into comedy uh-huh and Coy, who's a huge comedian, blew me up. He's my mentor and he kind of coached me along and it's been nonstop. And I love comedy. Have you ever tried it? See, I feel like I'm really good at delivery, like my show in Vegas. I mean, it was written for me, but I was delivering the jokes and I was improvving them. So I feel that I'm not really creative enough to write my own jokes. Gotcha. But I think I could kill it on stage and deliver someone else's jokes.
Starting point is 00:48:11 You know what? That would be a great episode. You try and stand up. Yeah. You should do that. I'm telling you. It's kind of like your own show. But when you're scripted, it's a little bit different.
Starting point is 00:48:20 But when you do stand up, it is such an amazing rush. Yeah. Because you're thinking about what you're going to say, saying it, thinking, I got to change this, watching people, hearing conversations. It's like an out-of-body experience. Yeah. It's insane. And I love it so much. I love it.
Starting point is 00:48:36 And that's why I loved doing the show in Vegas. Like, I haven't done theater since college. I did a little, like, sketch comedy and improv out here with some groups. But just being on stage, but then it's like you do have the two people right here who are on their phones. And then you have these people saying, that person's calling out my name. And then you have one person that just sitting there looking miserable. And you're like, and you, for some reason you keep going back to that person that's not having fun. And you're like, what is their problem? And it met like, yeah, you notice everything on stage. So we started calling
Starting point is 00:49:04 them out or bringing them on stage. Oh, wait, we're just going to let you finish sending that text. And then, yeah. Can you volunteer? And like, you can't do that in a stand up show, though. No, no, no. But like in our show, because it was so audience interactive, like my character, not as much. But the guy who was like running the show, like he would call people out.
Starting point is 00:49:22 That's great. And it was hilarious. That's awesome. That's awesome. We had a good run. I think i've seen you actually at um the laugh factory jay davis is a friend of mine oh my god yeah i love doing his shows he has the best crowds i was up there yeah i'm sure like i love that club the laugh factory yeah like they support me a lot the improv and comedy store but it's so fun once you get into it i love it yeah yeah in the show just going to shows yeah how did you meet jay davis he knows everybody um geez it's been years i think just
Starting point is 00:49:50 i was at one of the shows they used to do stand up at the parlor oh yeah i did monday nights or something and i met him we exchanged numbers he's like anytime you need a table or whatever and so almost every week i get the text from him but it's always like day of or night before and i'm like damn it i have plans tomorrow'm like, Jay, give me a couple days notice or I'm working at Sir. But I love going to stand-up comedy because it's like, how do you have a bad time?
Starting point is 00:50:13 You know? You can't. You drink, you have food and you're laughing. It's a great time. It's the best. It really is the best. I absolutely love stand-up comedy. It's my favorite thing I do. Yeah, I love it. 100%, without a doubt. So another thing I saw on your special, you guys got engaged at Malibu Wines. That burned down. I know.
Starting point is 00:50:31 But I heard the drama about the animals. Did you hear that too? Yes. So clear this up for me. What happened? So from the most recent update I got, and I was looking into a lot of this with Whitney Cummings. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:42 She went up there. I think they had their own vet, but then she hired like an exotic vet, like on her own to go check, just to make sure that it wasn't just their people saying what they wanted to hear. There's still some animals that aren't accounted for, but Stanley is safe.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Like the main big animals. I think it might not that it's okay that sheep are missing, but I think there were like some smaller animals that they were still trying to locate, but they were able to like build a barn, get them surrounded by water, and they're okay. Okay, good, good, good. Yeah. Because I know that was a big thing.
Starting point is 00:51:12 And that Malibu winery, did it burn down? Or is it a little bit burned? I think it's a little bit burned. Okay. Also, the Bachelor Mansion is a little bit burned, but not the whole house. See, I wouldn't mind if that burned down. Seriously. People live there. I know the owners of that house, and they're really nice people they live there okay i take that back no they rent it out for like the month of filming okay i'm sorry i don't want
Starting point is 00:51:34 your house to burn down no they're just thinking about the show yeah they fully have movers come and move all of their furniture out for the month i mean they must get paid a shit ton from that's what i'm saying and they move out for a month they film there, they must get paid a shit ton from ABC. That's what I'm saying. And they move out for a month. They film there and then they move back in. So they do that twice a year. And this is what gets me about The Bachelor and Bachelorette Show. I had friends on that show. They only really talk before they get engaged.
Starting point is 00:51:57 If you put it into hours, maybe they spent five hours with this person. Oh, yeah. Out of a month and they're going to get engaged. It's supposed to spend the rest. It's like, come on now. Really? Yeah. Really?
Starting point is 00:52:07 But whatever. I'm very- Very few work out. Most don't, but- Yeah. I mean, I have so many problems. I could talk an hour about the Bachelor and Bachelorette, about all the problems I have. Then we're going to have to do part two of this.
Starting point is 00:52:20 Yes. So I don't want to go into it now, because I'll just get on my soapbox, and I'll get very angry and start just going off on him. Are you going to watch Colton next season? No. I don't watch. Oh, okay. No.
Starting point is 00:52:32 You just have opinions. I'm so against it. I'm so against it. I'm obsessed. See, here's the thing. Like, I would be The Bachelorette if that was an option. Oh, you would be great. I wouldn't go on The Bachelor, but I would be The Bachelorette. So you wouldn option oh you wouldn't go on the bachelor but i would be the bachelorette so you wouldn't mind okay here's the thing here's what i i'm about to get on my
Starting point is 00:52:49 soapbox here's what i hate about the bachelor if you were in a say you ran a network right yeah you and a couple of your girlfriends okay and a guy walks in and goes i got a great show idea one dude can hook up with 26 women and doesn't have to marry any of them at the end, just can walk away. You'd be like, you're a pig. Get out of my office. And women are watching it. Yeah. That's the problem I have with the show.
Starting point is 00:53:12 And women go, oh, why did my boyfriend cheat on me? Because you're watching programming that watches men cheat on women and you celebrate it. It's the weirdest thing. I guess I never looked at it that way. Yeah. I mean, come on. Guys, watch what you watch. You're watching a show about a dude
Starting point is 00:53:30 hooking up with random chicks and not caring what other chicks cared for. And then you're like, why can't I find a man to be loyal? Look at what you want. They're watching what you're watching. And that's the biggest problem. And marriage, too.
Starting point is 00:53:42 I could go on. Because my parents have been married so long, and I really value marriage. Yeah. So to have it a game show almost is like, it tears it down. All right. I see what you're saying. And I know I'm being too serious. It's entertaining AF.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Yeah. It's entertaining. And if you watch it just for entertainment, which is great, but you also got to say, oh, back in the day, gladiators were entertainment entertainment and men just stood in a ring and killed each other for people. That was entertainment. Yeah. Not making that bachelor that extreme,
Starting point is 00:54:14 but I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's just my soapbox. Okay. Way to get serious on this podcast. I'm bringing it all down. I'm going to get so much hate from your fans.
Starting point is 00:54:22 I'm like, fuck you. We love bachelor and bachelorette Nation. Well, speaking of getting serious. Whoa, what a transition. Hey, like I did that. I love it. I feel like you're like the new Ryan Seacrest.
Starting point is 00:54:35 Yes. Like you just do everything. The half black version. So you have the Michael Yeo show on Sirius XM's Entertainment Weekly Radio. Like what do you break down? Pop culture, slubs. It's a two-hour talk show about pop culture. It's this.
Starting point is 00:54:48 It's what we've been talking about, except I do it every single day, and I have a crew, and we talk about every single show. We talk about every single headline, and it's so fun. Yeah. Oh, I love it.
Starting point is 00:54:57 I just love talking pop culture. I can do it all day long. Yeah. Like, I'm a dude that can sit down with a bunch of guys and talk football, and then I can sit down with their wives, you know, and talk pop culture. I love that. Because my friend coaches a football team, the Kentucky Wildcats, Mark Stoops.
Starting point is 00:55:11 And I went to one of their games. So I hung out with all the coaches. Yeah. And then they were like, well, we got to get ready for the game, which is Saturday. Can you go out to eat with our wives? So then I went out to dinner with all the wives. Yeah. And then they were like, tell us about this celebrity.
Starting point is 00:55:23 So I can do both, you know. And that's what I love about it. Yeah. That's what I all the wives. Yeah. And then they were like, tell us about this celebrity. So I can do both, you know? And that's what I love about it. Yeah. That's what I love about it. Yeah. So that show is every weekday at 4 p.m. Pacific. Oh, no. It's, oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:32 Wait. It's one to, it's 11 to one. You have so many. I'm trying to keep them all straight. No, it's 11 to one. Okay. Pacific. Pacific.
Starting point is 00:55:37 And then Hits One in Hollywood is four to seven. Gotcha. Four to seven. Yeah. Okay. And then the standup comedy and then the Bravo play by play. Yes. And then the special. You got shows coming up. You to seven. Yeah. Okay. And then the stand-up comedy, and then the Bravo play-by-play. Yes. And then the special.
Starting point is 00:55:47 You've got shows coming up. You're traveling. You're touring. Traveling. Touring. Everything MichaelYo.com, and also the Fox sitcom I'm writing with Nick Adams, the amazing writer. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:58 You're just a man of all trades. We're trying. We're trying. One thing I wanted to ask you. I was looking at your IMDb, and I saw you had a role in From Justin to Kelly. What? I was DJ number two. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:56:10 I lived in Miami. I was a radio DJ. This is right when American Idol was the biggest, right? Yes. They shot this movie. Nobody knew how horrible it was going to be. I did a beach scene where I'm like the radio DJ and it a race, and I'm like, go, whatever. Something very small.
Starting point is 00:56:27 Co-star? But it was so bad, it didn't even make the movie. It made the extras. So the scene was that bad. Okay. But I got a credit for it. You know? I had to ask.
Starting point is 00:56:38 Was that like the bottom of your IMDb? So I was like, I want to ask about this. It was hidden. It was hidden. But yeah, that's when American Idol was doing 35, 40 million. And so they shot a movie right away. And it was horrible. I've never seen anything I'm in.
Starting point is 00:56:52 I don't watch when I'm in something. So nobody has ever. I just know that clip, whenever I'm on a TV talk show or something, is going to come back to Hollywood. And I'm praying that doesn't happen. I'm praying that doesn't happen. It probably will. It will.
Starting point is 00:57:03 It will. Well, thanks for doing this. Thank you. You rock that doesn't happen. It probably will. It will. It will. Well, thanks for doing this. Thank you. You rock. This was fun. This like flew by. It did. See?
Starting point is 00:57:10 I have one thing I'm going to leave all you guys with. True car. Have you heard of them? Yes. Okay. So every car, you know, comes with its share of stories. That ding in your bumper when you nervously picked up a first date. Have you ever done that?
Starting point is 00:57:22 No, no, no. I'm a great driver. I'm a great driver. I'm a great driver. I don't ding any cars. Yeah, yeah. So I just got to say that. I've never dinged a car. I'm in a car that's on a lease right now,
Starting point is 00:57:34 so I would never, ever ding a car. Would you ever steal a car? It's part of your comedy special. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Steal a car and wreck it on the way home. I'd do that. Yeah, my sister's dinged my mom's car a few times, so I just got my mom a new one. I was like, yeah, this isn't acceptable anymore.
Starting point is 00:57:51 There you go. No dings. But anyways, while you guys can't put a price tag on your stories, now with True Car, you can at least find out what your car's worth is when it's time to sell or trade it in. So just go to True Car, simply enter your license plate number, and watch how your car's details pop up. Then just answer a few questions, you know, navigation and moonroof. Watch as they bump up your value. High mileage, whatever you need. You already knew what it was going to cost you, but now you know how much it dings your wallet so you can plan ahead. So once you finish,
Starting point is 00:58:17 you'll get a True Cash offer sent in minutes, and you can take it to local certified dealers to cash out or trade in. So when you're ready to experience a better way to sell or trade in your car, check out True Car today. True cash offer not available in all areas. Boom. Yep. Done. Mic drop.
Starting point is 00:58:34 There it is. MichaelYo.com. Yes. Thank you for having me. Get tickets to see Blasian, or your tour. My tour. Watch it on demand. That's right.
