Starting point is 00:01:19 S-C-H-E-A-N-A. From Vanderpump Rules to Vegas and everywhere in between, it's time to party with Sheena Shea. This is Shenanigans. And now, here's your host, Sheena Shea. And now, here's your host, Sheena Shea. What's up, you guys? So, we're back. My voice is not back, but I am back. Fresh off a plane from Vegas.
Starting point is 00:01:58 I have the gorgeous housewife, Teddy Mellon, sitting next to me. How are you? Oh, good. Thank you. How are you? We both got the hoops going on. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:04 You know. Even with the headphones, I still do hoops. Well, I was like, you know what? I have a beanie on. I got to do something. Yeah, I like it. Thanks. Yeah, so as you can see, I left my voice in Las Vegas. Well, that makes sense. The fact that you're here, that's pretty big. Yeah, barely made it, but I was obviously not going to miss this. So last night, I did my podcast, not in this studio.
Starting point is 00:02:28 And as I'm getting through that, I was just like, okay, my voice is going more and more, but it sounds all right. It could sound worse. It's, it's, it's a little sexy. Thanks. I can't sing for shit right now. I mean, I already can't sing, but like, especially I think your single's good. Like beat and yeah it's it's catchy i mean it's super cheesy but it's catchy it's fun exactly i'm like you guys it has like i'm i was playing it with with a couple friends and we're in the car and we're like okay thanks yeah yeah i mean i'm not trying to win a grammy like I'm not trying to be an award-winning singer. Like, I just do it for fun.
Starting point is 00:03:06 I'm like, whatever. It's just a fun hobby. But I think literally, like, since before Super Bowl, I was at Sundance. So I've literally been on the go every weekend since before we hung out at Super Bowl. No, I feel exhausted when I even watch your Insta story. I'm like, where is she? She's in Atlanta? She's here? She's doing... On Wednesday, I go to Nashville. And then I get back Saturday night.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Then Sunday, I go to Denver. I cannot. Back Monday, and then to Australia and Sydney. I mean, to Sydney, Australia, and New Zealand. Oh, that's amazing. That's somewhere I would want to go. I'm so excited. What are you doing there? Top of my bucket list. So Bravo shows are very popular in Australia.
Starting point is 00:03:51 So I have like a full day of like press and stuff set up. And then the rest of it is just like photo shoots and fun. I love that. Yeah. Two of my girlfriends come in with me, one of whom is a professional photographer. Just happens. Yeah. You're just doing some curating while you're there? She's like, do you know how good your Instagram feed's going to look? I'm like, it totally is. Oh, you're just doing some curating while you're there she's like do you
Starting point is 00:04:05 know how good your instagram feed's gonna look i'm like oh you're like okay now i see what's happening definitely so okay we are two episodes in and shit already looks crazy i mean it's it's the difference between this year and last year is insane yeah and especially now like i was just watching your watch what happens live episode and you're saying insane. Yeah. And especially now, like I was just watching your Watch What Happens Live episode and you're saying how you're closer with everyone now. So it obviously is like a different side of you. I think we get to see more of you this season. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I mean, I think people, you know, especially people are very vocal on Twitter and they're like, you've changed, you know, and I'm like, I have not changed. What happens is when I first meet somebody, I'm quiet. That's who I am as a person until I get to know you. And then I have true opinions. I don't like making opinions when I don't actually know. And I'm like basing myself of how other people feel or whatever it is. And so, yeah, as I get closer with people, as I start developing friendships, I have bigger opinions.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Totally. That's how life works. Yeah. That's the episode of Vanderpump Rules this week. You see that about me too. We go on a girl's trip to Solvang and I'm not like super tight with all of the girls at this point. So I'm literally just like a mute.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Like I was just like, I had so much anxiety. I'm like, we took a private jet for all of 20 minutes to Solvang. Oh, right. Well, actually we had to go to Santa Barbara and then drive for like 40 minutes. So it was like, it was, yeah. So I'm literally like sitting in the back of the van like by myself i'm just like on the jet like so quiet and then finally lala comes up to me and was just like what's wrong i'm like dude i'm afraid to say anything i say one thing to these girls and they judge me they make fun of me they talk shit behind my back like i would rather just
Starting point is 00:05:39 be quiet because they're like i'm just i'm just gonna be quiet in my own head right now i know sometimes that has to happen and i was but then after like this episode you kind of see me break out of my shell again so oh that's good yeah but um i'm excited to see where this goes this season like i know you probably can't say too much but everyone is to want to know where you and Lisa stand right now. I haven't spoken to her. Okay. So I haven't spoken to her in quite some time. And I think, you know, without giving too much away and, you know, each one of the women has a different relationship with Lisa Vanderpump. And, you know, I am somebody that definitely can coexist in a situation.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I'm not one of those people that like, oh, because I'm not getting along with them. You can't either. Right. That's not I really don't care. No, that sounds like Vanderpump Rules. For me, it's about like my own relationships. And so, you know, I'm at a place where it's frustrating, you know, because you want to be I want to be able to say everything. I want to be able to like.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Right. Completely clear the air. But when push comes to shove, I have a clear conscience. And I just, I can't stand when things are not true. Yeah. And it drives me crazy. Gotcha. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:58 She doesn't tell us anything. So I was like, maybe I can get something out of Teddy. Because I met you, obviously obviously through Lisa at the Daily Mail the Tom Tom party yeah and then even on the first episode that was like drama with Kyle like was Kyle not invited or she was like oh well this is the part that's so crazy is that well we got invited not by Lisa we got invited by Daily Mail okay so that was the backstory and then I know that Kyle reached out to Lisa and was like, hey, I just got back into town. Do you want me to come?
Starting point is 00:07:29 Like, Daily Mail, you know, contacted. And Lisa's like, oh, it doesn't matter. It's a Daily Mail party, not a TomTom party. So that's why Kyle didn't go. Yeah. And that's why you see Kyle get so upset so quick. Because to her, this is a complete shock. Like, we were already fine.
Starting point is 00:07:43 You said you didn't care if I was there. And now you're mad. Because to her, this is a complete shock. Like, we were already fine. You said you didn't care if I was there. Yeah. And now you're mad? And so I think it was like, why are you trying to make me look bad when we already discussed this? Right. So that was, I mean, immediately it was like, rah! Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think, you know, there's definitely a part this season where, like, her and I just can't come to an agreement.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Mm-hmm. And that's really, us we're kind of just yeah well on a brighter Vanderpump side I was just obviously in Vegas um the new cocktail lounge at Caesars is it amazing well it's not open yet but like it's all like walled up so like literally my friends and I are like taking pictures in front of it then I turn around and one of them is twerking on the wall, like upside down twerking. I was like,
Starting point is 00:08:27 you can't do this on Lisa's wall. Oh my God. If she sees this. But then I was like, you know what? Whatever. I posted on Instagram. She'll probably like it.
Starting point is 00:08:34 No, but I can say this. I think Tom Tom's a great bar. I heard it's amazing. Like all of that. I mean, no matter what my relationships are with any of the women that I, I'm sure you're the same.
Starting point is 00:08:44 I still want what's best for them and their life and their business and their stuff that doesn't involve the show. So who would you say right now you're closest with out of the ladies? Kyle and I talk almost every day. Like she's – we have a lot of the same interests. We really understand each other. And for me, a big thing in friendship is I want it to feel effortless. You want to be able to feel like you can say anything or do anything and that person understands you and, you know, you're not trying to prove, I don't want to feel like I'm having to prove myself to somebody.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Right. And the second that I feel like that in a friendship, I start pulling away. I totally get that. Cause especially just with my group of friends, it's like, that's how I've felt at certain times that it's just like with like Kristen Katie and Stassi like I was always like having to like prove myself and just like it was like I was like wanting them like their acceptance and like I'm like no I need these girls to like me but then it was like you know what I don't care anymore and then finally last year when I moved back from Vegas I was just like you know what look this is me take it or leave it and then finally they like were like oh my god wait this is like the Take it or leave it. And then finally they were like, oh my God, wait. This is like the old Sheena.
Starting point is 00:09:46 You're back. You're so much fun. Where have you been? I'm like, I don't know. I was in a relationship and I kind of lost myself. You got a little lost. But I think that's the biggest thing in friendship. If you can say this happened and this changed me or this made me feel a certain way or I was sad
Starting point is 00:10:00 or I was whatever it was, then people can understand that. And you can work with that. And you can understand that all of us ebb and flow in our life. If we were exactly the same, it doesn't exist. Oh, totally. Like there are days that I'm happy and everything's great. And there are days that I'm sad. And that's life.
Starting point is 00:10:15 And reality TV would be very boring without those dynamics. Really? It wouldn't exist. Yeah. It's a sitcom called Friends. It was like canceled in the 90s. Great show. But yeah. Okay. that it wouldn't exist yeah it's a sitcom called friends it was like canceled in the 90s great show but yeah um okay so we met like i said at tom tom and then super bowl weekend i mean how much fun was that that was okay well the least my least favorite thing about the super bowl was the game
Starting point is 00:10:39 i know so teddy was like literally like on her phone like cyber stalking every one of my friends during the game instead of watching the game, which was a boring game. I like to go. Well, this is the problem. I had liked to have visuals like if she was like telling me a story and I was like, but who's that? But hold on. Who's that? So then I had to go down the rabbit hole of each of these people. Edwin's like, what are you doing, babe? I'm like, well, you're not. Edwin thinks he's playing in the game. Like he's like, I need to hydrate. He's like drinking water. Like he – honestly, I'm like – I see that you're in a jersey, but you're not actually on the field. So what else was I going to do?
Starting point is 00:11:12 I just – I went deep down into the Sheena rabbit hole. Yeah, and everyone – I mean for like only like a week thought that Raul and I were like dating and like a thing. I think even like maybe you guys thought that. Up until like two days days ago like Ed was like he wished me um a happy Valentine's Day he's like you and Raul and I was like okay I was like I I already said this I'm like I think you missed my message we're like we're not together like oh and my lat yeah my lat I was like Edwin thought of that no no no Ed other no. Ed. Other Ed. Yes. But he kept like saying, because we like sent him like a really nice gift for, I mean, the best private jet ride ever. Amazing, right?
Starting point is 00:11:52 Like that was so much fun. And he was so funny because Bravo posted that thing afterwards. Oh, yeah. He was our Uber jet. And he's like, how did I become an Uber jet? I'm like, you know what? I would be thrilled for you to be my Uber jet anytime. It's the nicest private plane I've ever been on.
Starting point is 00:12:08 And those big like furry blankets. Like there was a bedroom on the plane. Yeah. There was a huge, I mean, there was a king size, down to a king size bed. It was so crazy. But yeah, I finally just had to like set it straight. I was like, no, no, no. I'm single.
Starting point is 00:12:22 We're not dating. We were just like there together, but just friends. So just putting that back out there. All just random timing. Yes. But it was just like right when we got to like the pregame and met up with you guys, like obviously I show up with him. He just assumed.
Starting point is 00:12:36 But yeah, good guy. He's going to be here in like a month. I'm going to get him on my show. Oh, perfect. Yeah. I'm so excited. He's such a smart guy. month. I'm going to get him on my show. Oh, perfect. Yeah. I'm so excited. He's such a smart guy and we, you know, we love spending time with him and his family because they've
Starting point is 00:12:49 created such an amazing life for themselves and they're just good people. Yeah. Now, where does he do his podcast? He, I think he does it out of his house. Okay. Laguna. Yeah. Yeah. Cause we said we're going to do each other. So my mom was asking, I'm like, I think it might be at his house. And it's his house in Laguna is also one of the nicest houses I've ever seen oh I've seen like videos like ridiculous everything everything about them is like next level you're like what I know I can't wait to meet his wife
Starting point is 00:13:14 she's such a good girl like so nice and so kind and like one of those people that a lot of the time you meet people and they say they're gonna do all these things or whatever and then have zero follow through she actually has follow through yeah so that's how you know somebody has is a good person like i'm like oh what's that you know how did how do you make that or whatever and she's like oh i'll get it to you when i get home and then like i would get like faxed instructions
Starting point is 00:13:34 yeah that's amazing because so many people say they're going to do something and then just like don't and say oh i forgot or just it's like not important enough yeah but that's it shows a good person when you're like okay definitely i always try and like follow up with something right away so i don't so that doesn't happen i know it's like a text message if i don't respond right away then i like when i like go through everything yeah oh my god no i'm the same way that's why i'm like i'm always on my phone which is a terrible habit, but also it's good for business because I respond to everything like immediately.
Starting point is 00:14:08 But so I'm like, if I'm not responding to you, I'm either in a massage or doing a podcast. Other than that, I'm there. I'm on my phone. Definitely. So, um, I know that you and Lisa aren't close anymore, but are you still going to Vanderpump dogs? Cause I know you said you and your daughter were doing that like once a week. We used to go once a week, but no, I have not been there at all. Gotcha. There hasn't really been anything. I mean,
Starting point is 00:14:31 I wish I could tell you more, but when everything kind of shifted and I realized the situation I was put into, I just had to put a halt at all of it. I can't wait to watch this season. It's, I mean, it's crazy. I mean, and you go, you know, when something happens to you and you're trying to, like, work it through in your brain, like, especially for me because it was nothing like this happened last year, you know, you go through, like, different levels. Like, you go from anger to, like, sadness to, like, pretending, like, in your head, like, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:15:03 You know, you have all these different emotions that you process. And then having to – like now that I'm starting to watch the episodes, I'm like, oh my gosh. This is how I felt that moment. I know. Reliving – like that's just like we don't live a normal life. Like reliving half a year ago, there's nothing normal about it. And then having to blog about yes oh see we
Starting point is 00:15:26 don't even we don't blog anymore oh you don't no bravo used to have us blog every week and then it was like a different cast member every week and then it just like died see for me even though i i don't like the blogging i love it because it's like the way that i can truly get my feelings out every week because sometimes i'm like okay i said this said this, but this is how I'm feeling also. This is why I said it. Like I like to give the backstory. Yeah. Because it's a small edited version of what really happened.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Yeah. And I don't think they can ever, people will ask me, they'll be like, oh, well, is what we see what we're really getting? I'm like, nobody can make you say or do something that didn't actually happen. You said it. You said it. Yeah. Like it's going to air out, but sometimes the level of time, like it could have been a lot
Starting point is 00:16:08 longer of a conversation that's edited down because it's only an hour show. Exactly. And there's several other cast members. If you have a 30 minute conversation that can't be, so it's like, I'm like, what do you mean? It doesn't revolve around my every thought and feeling on everything. Seriously. Um. Okay. So I want to ask you about your charity rides because I saw that on the first episode. When did those start? When is the next one? Because I want to try this. I've never done a cycling class ever. Oh, you haven't? Actually, I've been talking to Cycle Bar on Sunset about doing one. What I end up doing is I normally pick an organization, and then whatever the cycle place that I do a partnership with
Starting point is 00:16:51 will donate all of the amount of money spent to buy the bikes, and they'll donate it to the charity of my choice. And then what ends up happening is normally the spin class is whatever, $23. But for the ones we did for Vanderpump Dogs, we know, the spin class is whatever, $23. But like for the ones we did for Vanderpump Dogs, we ended up charging 60 a bike and then all the proceeds and then any of the waters or anything else that was purchased all goes there. Awesome. So it's great. And it's a good way for me to be a lot of my clients. You know, I've never met in person. So it's also a great way to have meetups. Oh, oh yeah because my whole business is done on text
Starting point is 00:17:25 messages and same with my coaches like my coaches that were my clients you know they want to meet their clients as well it's just like a good safe middle ground to meet somebody yeah you have what 40 coaches 40 coaches that's amazing over a thousand clients i mean it's crazy i i love it like it and you know truthfully it it helps me stay focused on my goal yeah there was a question i got about this let me find it it was about there were so many questions that came in i was just like where do i start uh lindy borden wants to know what's been the hardest thing about having your company grow so fast truthfully the hardest thing has been, you know, I've met with a bunch of different people that want me to scale. And the hardest thing is because you're hearing somebody saying, OK, this is a way you could grow your company and you could be making millions and millions and millions of dollars.
Starting point is 00:18:15 And yes, that sounds great. Right. But then you're like, OK, but what's my mission statement? My mission statement is to stay true to who we are and grow organically. And so that every single coach was a client so that they're actually practicing what they preach. And so me having to turn down big opportunities because I have to stay true to what I believe in, those decisions have weighed on me. Yeah. You know, because I also have my husband who's like a big entrepreneur and he's like, well, babe, you know, you got to do this. And I'm like, well, no, I can't. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:47 That's the second that I not sell out. But the second that I do something that doesn't feel right to me, I feel like our clients will feel that, too. Yeah. So that's a hard part. But then also doing all of this, like filming the show, having my business grow, managing now over 40 people and having my family. Yeah. And really – there's no such thing as balance when it comes to life. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:13 You know, there really isn't. Like there's balance in regards to health and fitness. But like your life – the only thing that we can kind of do is try to communicate with our kids and say like, listen, mommy and daddy have to work hard. But these are the nights that we're home. These are the days that we have together and set up everybody's expectations. But that's a big thing you'll see on the show is you see me struggling with that as a mom.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Wow, my business is growing. I could be on my phone 24-7. And so not, but also learning to delegate. Totally. And now you have a merch saying and learning to delegate. Totally. And now you have a merch line coming out. I was just looking at the all in. I'm so excited about that. So cute.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Well, the thing that's so fun about it is I didn't even realize it was, I was actually a client who was like, you know, I want to be all in. Like I'm a client. I graduated. I want to like be all in on my life. And she's like, and my friends that didn't even do the program, they also want to be all in on their life. Yeah. Like they don't have to just be a coach and then I realized like oh this is a lifestyle this is something people want to be all in on their life whatever
Starting point is 00:20:13 that symbolizes to them and then the part that really got me was a portion of the proceeds are going to go back to people that can't afford the program right I saw that that's amazing so for me that's like my little way of like giving back because I'd love to be able to accept every person that wants to join the program, but I just can't. And this is a way to do it. Yeah. So, um, when was it that you really started getting into fitness? Cause I know we see this week's episode, you talking to Lisa Rinna about, you know, acting and them casting directors telling you that you had to lose weight. And like, how long ago was that?
Starting point is 00:20:51 So that was so I moved to Los Angeles and I put on some weight and just like, you know, probably it would be like consider like the freshman 15. Right. And I got an agent and a manager and I started going out on auditions and I I thought I booked a pilot. And then my manager called me back and he's like, hey, sorry, they called back. There's a small little problem. You have to you have to lose weight in order to have the role. But they think you could probably lose 10 or so pounds by the time they start they finish casting yeah and I'm like and that moment I could have changed right then and there but I got so angry and I was so angry I think I was like embarrassed I don't really know what happened but I just went the other way and I gained so much weight and I really got like deep down like like I used food to like fix all of my emotions. And I was like, oh, it was like my best friend.
Starting point is 00:21:50 And it became this kind of vicious cycle throughout my life where I would gain a bunch of weight, do a fad diet, lose it, gain a bunch of weight again, do a fad diet, lose it. weight again, do a fad diet, lose it. And, you know, around the time I had met Edwin, I kind of evened out a little bit because I was back to riding horses for a living. But then after I had kids, it happened again. And that's when I was like, I can't do this again. I can't have my kids watching me do fad diets and then gain all the weight back because I have no idea how to have any healthy balance in my life when it comes to food and fitness. So it really was because of that. It was like this isn't good for me. This isn't good for anybody. And I had hidden it from everybody.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Yeah. I had just made it this like my deep, dark secret that I was too embarrassed to share with everybody else. And I made it this like my deep, dark secret that I was too embarrassed to share with everybody else. So it was once I became vocal about sharing what it was for me, that's when everything changed. Yeah. Being able to be open and being able to say this is my struggles. Like there were times where like I would bring Edwin back to my family's house and my sister had pictures up from like, I don't know, some event we went to. I'm like, hi, those pictures. I don't want Edwin to see them.
Starting point is 00:23:04 You know, like that's not okay. You know, and event we went to. I'm like, hide those pictures. I don't want anyone to see them. You know, like, that's not okay. You know, and so it really, it was that. It was just those moments that happened to me throughout my life that I realized, like, I don't want to hide from this anymore. Well, you look incredible. Oh, thank you. You're so cute. You're so fat.
Starting point is 00:23:18 But that was, like, something with myself as well that I struggled with in college. I was anorexic because back then Kim Kardashian was not a thing I was moving to Hollywood I wanted to be an actress I was like need to be like stick thin like Paris Hilton was a thing back then not Kim Kardashian yeah so this is like oh four and I just I remember like I would literally like count my calories and like only have like 10 goldfish for like a snack and then it was just like I would step on the scale like five times throughout the day and then I finally just threw that out the window and then just started eating so much put on about 35 pounds then I'm like starting to like audition a lot but I'm like not booking roles because the way I look on camera like I just had
Starting point is 00:24:00 these like really chubby cheeks I was not in. Then I got in a relationship and that was one where I didn't realize at the time that he had a drinking and drug problem. And so it was kind of like me enabling it, which I didn't even realize at the time because we were going out all the time. I was drinking beer, drinking whiskey. Then I'm like putting the weight on again. And then it's like I would do the master cleanse and lose 10 pounds. You know, it's like those fad diets and put on 10 pounds and then do the Atkins diet.
Starting point is 00:24:27 And then it was just like, I struggled with that up until the year after I got married in 2015. I finally just decided like, I got to do something about this because I'm not comfortable in my own body. And granted, a size four is well below average in America and still small. But for me to be a zero my whole life and to go up to a four and like be on camera like that was a huge difference for me I have all these people talking about my back fat and my two-piece wedding dress and just
Starting point is 00:24:55 like it got to the point where I'm like I always said like I didn't care but then when people started asking if I was pregnant and I'm like, no, it's just cheese and beer. Maybe I should do something about this. Well, I think it's also there's such a stigma to saying like that you care. Yeah. I don't know what it is that we've built out where we all have to have such a hard shell to say that we don't care. Things don't hurt our feelings. That is not life. No.
Starting point is 00:25:20 And if you're somebody that consistently says that you don't care about things and things don't bother you, then you're not living it. You're not living the truth. And then, you know, I'd rather say, yeah, you know what? I, I, that day I felt insecure or like, this makes me feel bad or you hurt my feelings. Or of course it gets to me when you attack me on social media. Like being able to just say that is like therapy right there. Absolutely. It makes you so much more relatable too. It's like, I'm very self-deprecating. I make fun of myself all the time because I'm just like, look, you, you can't say what I'm already saying about myself. Yeah, that's, I agree. But it's, you know, just about taking accountability and all of that as you know, you're the queen of, but, um, yeah, I just, when you said all in that just like sparked it in my memory, because when I first started working out with Seth, I was just like, I don't half-ass anything.
Starting point is 00:26:09 I was like, if I'm doing this, I'm literally all in, meal plan, carb cycling, like, worked out seven days a week, ran on a treadmill seven days a week. Like, I was so all in that now, four years later, like, I can have some pasta here and there like more like than I did before because I'm working out my metabolism. Like I just feel so much better about myself. And I think that's, that's important. And when you're working out and you're taking care of yourself, then your confidence grows, not even just by aesthetically how you look, but inside you feel good and you feel like I can do more. I can do this. And then you also feel more comfortable with your choices. Like people will say, oh, well, you know, do you drink or do you do? And I'm like, yes, but then I make a choice. If I went out to dinner and I have, you know, two glasses of wine,
Starting point is 00:26:53 I'm not going to have dessert. Yeah. And I don't care what you have to say. You know, and then there'll be the people like, come on, live a little. And I'm like, I did live a little. I just drank. Yeah. Like you have to be okay with my choices because I'm okay with my choice. Yeah. That was like the private jet and a couple bottles of champagne later. I was like the next day I was like, okay, now I'm not going to drink for a week because I think I just drank enough Superbowl weekend for the week. That's what happens.
Starting point is 00:27:16 And then you're like, okay, then you clean it all out and then that's life. Yeah. So I said, I have a new thing right now where because I'm traveling so much when I'm in LA, I don't drink. That's perfect. And then it's like a good balance it keeps me disciplined I'm also going to do another round of freezing my eggs so I'm trying to keep you are yeah we only got nine mature and although that can sound like a lot to some people a one in nine chance of having a good
Starting point is 00:27:37 like perfect embryo like once it's fertilized and genetically tested and all that that's not enough believe me we had We did so many rounds. Yeah, we talked about that. Yeah, so I mean I think if you're able to do it, of course do it. I mean the – And for me, it was – I got so much shit for this because I said it was easy and painless. But I'm like, look, should I have posted and said that it was the worst thing I've ever done and I was miserable and I cried myself to sleep every night and lied? I've ever done and I was miserable and I cried myself to sleep every night and lied like I want women to know it's it's hard for some especially if you're trying to have a baby and you can't
Starting point is 00:28:10 that is completely different I'm single trying not to have a baby right so I was like for me it was an easy decision and I have 22 tattoos like I have no problem with needles it was easy for me and I'm like I want to share my story. So not every woman is afraid to have this happen because everyone I talked to was like, oh my God, the hormones and this and that be prepared. I was like, I was terrified going in because I was just like, so in my head and I wasn't being optimistic about the process. I was like, I'm going to be crying myself to sleep every night. I'm going to be depressed. I'm going to be lonely. I'm single. I'm good. But you are shedding light in a different way. And I think that's the hard thing with what we do is that everybody takes everything personal.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Like I said something on Housewives last year. I said something like I was the most depressed when I couldn't get pregnant because I felt like it was my job as a woman to be able to get pregnant. That was my personal feeling. I wasn't coming out against anybody else trying to come at them for not being able to have babies or not wanting to have babies. I was saying how I felt in that moment. And I remember, you know, it rubbed some people the wrong way, but you know what? The amount of people that related to it and said, oh my gosh, thank you so much for sharing that you felt that way. I thought I was alone. Or so even if you got a lot of, you you know heat from it there
Starting point is 00:29:25 are going to be those girls out there that were scared to do it and scared to try that you just gave you know you shed light on it in a positive way yeah and i mean that post it had like 3300 comments on it i was like holy shit i don't think i've ever had that many comments on any instagram post i've ever posted but it was like a lot of it too were all of these women saying you know like i've been thinking about doing this and after following your journey because I literally I have a whole highlight on my Instagram every time I had blood drawn every ultrasound like I documented the entire thing so it's like you can follow my journey because we're not filming right now it's not going to be on the show but like you can see me giving the shots to myself like
Starting point is 00:30:01 it was an easy process for me but yeah so i just wanted to keep it out there um okay denise richards now it's funny because the night i met you at tom tom adam spot my bestie he thought you were denise richards and then i'm like what's funny is she's actually gonna be on the show this season. It's so crazy. I've kind of gotten her. I got her a lot last year. People say, oh, you look like her. And then they do these like morphs of our faces or whatever.
Starting point is 00:30:35 And then when I found out she was going to be on, I was like, oh, my gosh, how crazy is this? And, you know, there are times like there was I posted for her for her birthday yesterday. And I mean, every single comment was twins. You guys look just alike, blah, blah, blah. I don't see it a ton, but it's a compliment to me. I'm like she's amazing. Oh, yeah. She's gorgeous. I'm like it works for me.
Starting point is 00:30:50 But I mean we are – I have so much fun with Denise, but we're complete polar opposites. Like I am the most like type A structured annoying human being ever. You can't find a more laid back person than Denise. Yeah. Like she's like whatever. It's cool. You know, like so it's funny. Our personality types are super different. But, you know, I think that's what whatever it's cool you know like so it's funny our personality types are super
Starting point is 00:31:06 different but you know i think that's that's what makes it fun totally like i'll be like overstressing i'm like and this and then denise is like who cares whatever no what is it with the snacks everyone talks about she has the best snacks oh well it's not even that she has the best snacks she's always talking about snacks. Okay. Like we'll be anywhere. Like we'll be on our way to go eat. Like, you know, we're in the sprinters. Yes. And she's like, where are the snacks?
Starting point is 00:31:31 Where are the snacks? The little crafty box. And we're like, oh, these are all the snacks. And then I'll be like, Denise, I have the, you know, like I gave her like these almonds and she goes, Teddy, there's no salt on these. I can't eat these. Oh, I'm desperate. Fine. She's like, what is, you know, know like so every single time we're doing anything and she has a lot of allergies yeah so when we actually do eat then she's always allergic oh my god so then she's
Starting point is 00:31:55 like i need snacks what someone had uh sent in a question and asked what is your go-to like healthy snack my go-to healthy snack if i'm home is avocado i love avocado yes i could just eat it right out of it i love that's how i just cut it and then they have this thing you can get it like trader joe's or whole foods i forgot which one but it's called everything but the bagel and it's like um you just it's like a pepper something that you like and it's so good it's like a seasoning a seasoning and it's delicious so i love that snack but if i'm like on the go i like chop up apples or peppers or i always have food in my in my bag because when i'm hangry then i make bad decisions oh yeah no
Starting point is 00:32:37 you don't want to be around me when i'm hangry yeah i haven't eaten today but it's because i ate so much last night and ended up at taco bell Cantina at 3 a.m. Oh, okay. So I'm still full, but then I'm going to dinner after this. So you're like, okay. Yeah. My go-to is I always have almonds in my purse. Oh, yeah. That's just like-
Starting point is 00:32:53 I like cashews as well. Yeah. I love cashews, but are they not as good for you? Well, it's weird. I must have some little bit of aversion to almonds because I get a stomach ache. Oh. So cashews I don't. I feel like if they're unsalted, it's like whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:06 Yeah. It's basically the same kind of. I love cashews. I'm sure you've already talked about this a bunch, but the Dorit dog drama, like is that still a thing that's going on? There is so many different levels of the Dorit dog drama that you guys haven't even gotten to see yet. of the Dorit dog drama that you guys haven't even gotten to see yet.
Starting point is 00:33:30 Because you see Lisa, like, you know, throwing jabs on the jet going to the Bahamas on this week's episode. And I think that's the part that's so tricky is, like, we've seen her say everything's fine. And there was also the thing that happened when we were at Vanderpump Dogs where, like, she's saying don't say anything, but yet we're at Vanderpump Dogs filming, and the dog's there. So it's all a little bit suspicious. But I think you're going to see a lot of...
Starting point is 00:33:55 It's a rocky road. Yeah. How did the dog end up in a shelter? Like, she gave it to a woman, and then the woman gave it away? Yes. But I was told multiple different stories prior to this all happening, which is what leads me into this very uncomfortable situation that I get myself into. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:34:15 All because of Lucy. Lucy, Lucy, apple juicy. I made a note. I was watching the premiere last week. A couple of things that you said uh boone's farm oh oh my god don't act like you haven't had some strawberry hill literally that was my shit in high school that was like all i drank alcohol wise was boone's farm we would give like our two dollars to whatever the guy was that like would go and get our our boone's farm and then we would like put
Starting point is 00:34:43 in our request like first first request fuzzy navel if you're out we'll take the strawberry yes oh my god so good so bad so good and then i was literally laughing out loud when you're like winning what like why am i such a dork like one and you know i was saying it to like make fun of myself. Right. But then like my confessional afterwards, I'm so awkward in my delivery. I was like cringing watching it back. So funny. And I swear on my life. I had absolutely, like in my mind, I wasn't like Denise Richards. Like people are like, you know, you did that on purpose.
Starting point is 00:35:21 I'm like, no, I always say that to make fun of myself. Yeah. Like I'm always like winning. Like when I do something stupid. Right. And then I was like, no, I always say that to make fun of myself. Like I'm always like winning. Like when I do something stupid and then I was like, oh my God. But like, that was like a point where like Erica and I, like, cause Erica and I didn't really talk last year other than when we had our issues. So it was like that moment, like totally lightened the mood for both of us. Cause both of us were like in tears. Like so, I was so embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:35:41 That was so funny. Cause it was just so innocent, but then it was like dead silence. And then they panned to Camille's face where she's like... You can't say that. So I also saw that Brandy is back this season. I have never met her. Okay, you still haven't. I have never met her.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Well, I don't think that I've ever met her. You don't know her. I don't know her. You don't know her like I know her. Well, no her um you don't know her like I know her well no hopefully I'll never know her like you know her definitely not oh but no I don't know her but I did see I mean I don't know how much how much she's on or how much she's not but yeah that was definitely good for the super tease even if it's just that one dinner scene oh it looked good I what was the line like what's up kitty cat yeah kitty cat i feel like she's called me a kitty cat before but not in like a nice way no i have a
Starting point is 00:36:31 feeling yeah it was not in a nice way we're cool now though well that's good yeah it took about a decade to get there but it's a smooth decade she was actually the person who got me on cameo oh really yeah well yeah so i was like, okay, if anything that Brandy asks me to do, or I was just like, yeah, sure. I'll check it out. Like I had turned down this app like so many times. And then when she was like, oh, you should try this. And I was like, okay. You're like, great. And I did. And then, you know, met these awesome guys who work for Cameo and we had so much fun at Superbowl. So it all happens for a reason. It does. Okay. I want to talk more about your merch line.
Starting point is 00:37:06 So you have, what is it, like 19 items? 19 items. Available this week. Yep. It's available, yeah, by the time this is on. Yeah. Amazing. So do you have plans to expand it?
Starting point is 00:37:17 I do. I wanted to start small this time with just like, I have hats and water bottles and T-shirts and tanks and hoodies and like a couple of athleisure outfits. But I just kind of wanted to see – I'm one of those people that I like to start small and then – See what sells. See what people like. And, you know, because I know the things I like. Like I'm obsessed with the hoodie.
Starting point is 00:37:38 I love the hoodie. The hoodie and the leggings with the red stripes. Yeah. So cute. Thank you. So for me, those were like my favorites, but I kind of want to see what everybody, you know, once it's expanded to not just, you know, my coaches and I. Is this something that you've always wanted to do?
Starting point is 00:37:53 Like have your own line of like workout gear? No, for me, I'm just one of those people that once I, once I think something through and it makes sense to me, then I'm just like, all right, let's do it. Yeah. Whether like everybody else in my life is like right now? Really? This is what you want to do? So I'm like, yep. Yep. Now we're doing it tomorrow. And everyone's like, what? Okay. We're just going to orchestrate it. So that, I mean, that's really how it came about. And you know, I do like that. It says all in and I like that. Teddy made me do it. Teddy made,
Starting point is 00:38:20 my husband wears that hoodie all the time. The hashtag Teddy made me do it. And I'm like, yeah, I did. I think that should be the title of the hashtag TeddyMadeMeDoIt. Yeah. And I'm like, yeah, I did. I think that should be the title of this podcast is Teddy Made Me Do It. Okay. Let's see. What else did I have? Oh, yes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:38 So the preview for next week's episode. When you're like screaming, like, let me finish. Who are you yelling at? You know. Who do you think see normally i would think duree because y'all have always bumped heads but then i saw on your like insta story yesterday you were like at her son's birthday party and so i feel like you guys become friends so then i'm like wait but is it lisa because i know that you guys don't talk or is it erica like because you guys aren't that close like i don't know i think that all i can say is that you guys don't talk? Or is it Erica? Like, because you guys aren't that close? Like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:06 I think that all I can say is that you see everybody's face look shocked when I do it. Because last year, I never cared that much about anything to like, it's not that I'm like a meek person. Yeah. But if I don't care about something, there's no, you're not going to get me to raise my voice and be like, let me finish. But if I care, and truthfully, if I know I'm right and if I feel unjust, if something's like unjust, I like can't let it go.
Starting point is 00:39:32 I'm the same way. I had a moment like that. It was season three. Kristen and I are literally on the patio of Sir. There were, I mean, like probably at least 50 people like out there with like their phones, like watching us as we're filming. And I had this moment where i didn't even know my voice could hit this octave and i'm like and i'm like screaming at her to listen to me because she's not it was just like so that reminds me of one of those moments like i definitely was like you know told my dad i'm
Starting point is 00:39:58 like let's maybe just we're gonna skip over a couple episodes for you to watch dad yeah we're going to skip over a couple episodes for you to watch dad. And he's like, great, Teddy. So your dad, do him and Meg Ryan watch the show like religiously? Did they watch it before? No. My dad definitely watches now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:16 I mean, really, I think just to tease me. Like he called after the first episode and he's like, really, Teddy? Why did you need to wear so many hats? That's his critique. So many hats. So many hats. Why so many big hats? And I'm like, well, I don't want to do my hair every day.
Starting point is 00:40:32 So I had a bunch of questions that came in. So I want to wrap this up with some fan questions. Okay. Let's see. Nicole Kai K wants to know who is your least favorite housewife and why? And as the show scripted, we know it's not is your least favorite housewife and why? And is the show scripted? We know it's not. Least favorite housewife.
Starting point is 00:40:49 I can't answer my least favorite. Okay, how about who's your favorite? Okay. Favorite housewife. I mean, I love Kyle. She's amazing. It doesn't even have to be Beverly Hills. Just in general.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Like in the franchise. In general, to watch, I mean, this season. I haven't watched all the seasons, but now that I've started watching, like Margaret Joseph is pretty amazing this year on Jersey. Yes. Oh my God. I met her, um, a few weeks ago when they were all out here for watching. Yeah. Oh yeah. And it was that, oh my God. How fun was that? That was, I was so like FOMO. I was so jealous. It was just like so – it looked so much fun. It was so much fun.
Starting point is 00:41:26 It was one of those like unbelievable times where you're like, okay, we're probably going to go and go through the motions and support Andy. Yeah. But then we were all like – it was such an amazing time and everybody was so cool and nice and like not pretentious. Like everybody was just real. Yeah. Joelle Official wants to know if there is something juicy that happened behind the scenes at his baby shower. No. joelle official wants to know if there is something juicy that happened behind the scenes at his baby shower no i mean because that we're in social media time everything was captured on instagram oh i saw rena i mean the rena dancing kyle's doing the splits like all every single one of us was on the table like i mean it was i mean it was a shit show yeah that i mean that's how if i
Starting point is 00:42:04 ever do have kids i want to baby shower like that because that looked like so much fun. I've never been to probably any girls party like that. Yeah. The Free Spirit wants to know if you can coach people in Australia. Do you do any mobile coaching? So where we're struggling, we do all of the United States and Canada. Where we're struggling is that because we're like a 24-7 conciercierge to our clients when they're awake the time change is killing us so until we get to
Starting point is 00:42:30 a place where I can have a client graduate from Australia like it's going to take some time for us to figure out those things yeah and I don't want to give it I don't want to say yeah we're expanding to Australia and then not have it be 100% ready yeah you'll get. You'll get there. We'll get there. Um, Aaron MC wants you to walk through your meal plan and exercise routine because you look so amazing and you're so inspiring. Oh, thank you. Well, I am active for an hour a day. It depends on, you know, how I'm feeling, what I'm going to do, but I love running, spinning, hiking, hot yoga. It just depends on how my body's feeling, but I do commit to an hour a day a standard meal like a standard day of eating for me is like morning I have oatmeal with like blueberries and a little bit of brown sugar I have a morning snack which is like an apple for lunch
Starting point is 00:43:15 I would have like a salad from sweet green which would be like arugula quinoa avocado peppers tomatoes some like lime juices Dressing An afternoon snack Cashews Or something like that And then If I'm home My lightest meal of the day
Starting point is 00:43:31 Is always dinner Really? Yes Always If I'm home Then I have like a soup Or something light Because then I sleep better
Starting point is 00:43:38 If I go to bed full I don't sleep well Yeah Like super full So I like to go to bed Satisfied Not full And then if I'm eating out
Starting point is 00:43:44 Most of the time I'm eating out at Craig's to be honest. I love Craig's. What is your go-to thing? Okay. The chicken paillard is amazing. Okay. I haven't had that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:52 So get the chicken paillard, but ask for it with some grilled jalapenos. Ooh. So good. And then I also love the bolognese, but I get it with the spaghetti squash instead of the pasta. That's my go-to is the spaghetti squash. Ugh. It's so good. Yes. I always do the vegan spaghetti squash and of the pasta. That's my go-to is the spaghetti squash. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Yes. I always do the vegan spaghetti squash and I add chicken and cheese. Makes sense. It's so good. I love Craig's. Now I'm going to need to go there soon because I'm going to be craving that. Gracie Michels wants to know, how much has being in the public eye and on TV affected your marriage and alone time?
Starting point is 00:44:22 And I want to ask about the scheduled sex. Oh, okay. It actually has helped our marriage i know it sounds crazy because everybody's like what but before we did the show like yes we communicated but like we were just we just were a little lazy about our communication like it would be like what we had to get through but when you're filming a two-hour date yeah you can't like be on your phone checking out. Like you have to be like really committed to the conversation and you have to be really on the same page because if not, you're going to struggle. And so when you're really on the same page with your partner,
Starting point is 00:44:55 then you, then you can find more things funny. Then the intimacy is growing. Then you're like able to like not take every little thing so seriously because you really are getting to know what you're struggling with. You're being vulnerable. So so seriously because you really are getting to know what you're struggling with. You're being vulnerable. So like we really opened up to each other even more so doing this because like we had to, truthfully, because it's like sink or swim. And so that's been amazing.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Okay. So our scheduled sex, which I get a lot of heat about, but it's not scheduled. It's we make sure that it has to happen two times a week that's good so that's healthy so if it's like wednesday and it hasn't happened we have a code name for it we'll just be like wiki and like it's just like okay yeah like it's on the radar that it's probably going to happen when he gets home from work or what like we know that we need to be on the ball because we're at Wednesday and it hasn't happened yet. But every single one of the girls was like, you are kidding me.
Starting point is 00:45:50 And I'm like, no. It's a dialect because if not, like, too much time may pass. And, like, we have crazy schedules. Totally. And that's also why we schedule day dates. Because Wiki is the best during the day. Yes. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:03 I love morning sex. It really is. God, I haven't had that in so long. It really is the best because you're the most awake. Totally. The more you know, the more, you know, definitely. Well, I mean, you guys are couples goals. I had so much fun with you. Oh no, we had so much fun with you too. We got to do that again. Me and my not boyfriend. I love it. And I want you to, well, I mean so much fun with you, too. We got to do that again, me and my not-boyfriend. I love it. And I want you to, well, I mean, you guys met Adam, like, a little bit at TomTom, but, like, I want the four of us to hang out again, too, because he's my favorite person to hang out with.
Starting point is 00:46:33 All right. All right, so new episodes of Housewives every Tuesday night. We have your all-in merch line coming out this week. When is the next, um, the cycling? When is the next, uh, charity ride you're doing? There should be one in about the next month.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Okay. I'll keep you posted. Amazing. You've got to come. You're going to do your first one. Yes, I will. I'm so down.
Starting point is 00:46:56 And, uh, tell everyone where they can find you on social, um, at Teddy Mellencamp or for fit tips. You can follow me at go all in by Teddy. Any spoilers you can give us no all right okay wait one last thing before we go did you notice any of the comments on the picture i
Starting point is 00:47:13 posted of us after super bowl i literally had to turn the comments off i from my one insta story yeah i was like flooded so many people they're like this is why the girls don't like you you're disloyal like you don't have lisa's back i'm like the show hasn't even aired yet what are you guys talking about as far as i know y'all are cool because lisa hasn't told me anything you haven't told me anything i just posted a photo and hung out with you at super bowl like i mean that's the same thing and here's the thing we're all adults nobody's out trying to trash anybody else or do anything out of spite it's like we were in a situation where we met at an event of Lisa's and then we saw each other at the Super Bowl and we were having fun. And that's how it worked.
Starting point is 00:47:53 But it was just like it got to be so much. I was like, I'm turning comments off. Thank you, Instagram, for this feature. I know the turn off commenting sometimes is. Yeah, but it's like amazing how like the show hadn't even aired yet at that point. And just because of what people see on maybe social media or in tabloids, they just like assume. And I'm like, okay, well, Lisa's never said anything to me. So I see no problem with being friends with Teddy.
Starting point is 00:48:16 It's all a little bit crazy. I mean, heck, I get like death threats at this point. This is insane. Okay. Every Tuesday, new episodes. Bye. Can't wait to see this play out. All point. This is insane. Okay. Every Tuesday, new episodes. Bye. Can't wait to see this play out. All right.
Starting point is 00:48:27 Bye, guys. Thanks for listening to Shenanigans. Download new episodes every Tuesday and subscribe on the Podcast One app at podcastone.com or at Apple Podcasts.
