So before it sells out again, if you wanna grab that,
it's a safety kit with all sorts of different tools.
People are buying multiples
because they think it's a good gift, which I agree,
it is a great gift, but anyway, check all of that out.
We have a lot to go over today.
There is one specific case,
which I'm actually gonna start today's segment with,
that I didn't really know what it was about
when I first saw it come across my feed
and then the more I dug into it,
the more unnerving it really is.
And people are talking about it,
but there hasn't really been a deep dive into it.
I might end up doing a deep dive, I don't know yet,
but it's this rape trial that's happening in France
because this case, as I said, it is truly horrific.
And the case and the trial,
it's coming out of France right now.
And it's about a 71-year year old man named Dominic Polico.
Now Dom, which I'm calling him for short,
he is like the worst of the worst
because he's accused of drugging and raping his wife Giselle
all while she was unconscious.
And not only like a one time occurrence,
not like that would make it any better,
but literally for over a decade.
Dom would drug Giselle
and he would invite all of these other men over
so that they could assault her.
Between 2011 and 2020, he had invited over 72 men,
72 men to his home to assault his wife.
Can you imagine?
Like, what gets people off?
It is so disgusting. Now all of this
came to light back in November of 2020. Dom was being investigated after he had
been taking photos up women's skirts at a French grocery store because apparently
he wasn't perverted enough that he needed to like be a peeping Tom and like
a voyeur, voyeurism, and like take photos up girls skirts. But while he
was being investigated for that crime,
police obtained his laptop and they discovered a folder
inside of it that was titled abuses.
Literally, he didn't even try to hide it.
Didn't try to like disguise it, do anything.
He literally labeled this folder abuses.
So inside the folder when they opened it,
the investigators found over 20,000 photos of him
and other men
raping his wife Giselle. Police ended up showing this folder to Giselle and I
can't even imagine her reaction. I mean needless to say she was completely
shocked and appalled but can you imagine being confronted with that
information and seeing visuals that tie back to that information? She had
absolutely no idea that any of this was happening to her.
And she told the investigators that she wasn't faking,
she wasn't pretending to be unconscious
during any of these attacks,
she wasn't complicit, it wasn't consensual.
She genuinely didn't know
that any of this was happening to her.
In fact, Giselle was actually convinced
that she was developing a serious illness in all of this.
Because she had been experiencing all of these issues, which we now know are all side effects
from the drugs that her husband was secretly feeding her.
But she had started losing weight, she was losing hair, she had these large gaps in her memory.
So she had started thinking that something was seriously wrong with her.
Like maybe she was developing Alzheimer's, maybe she was suffering from dementia
because all of these things
that she couldn't explain were happening.
Which meanwhile, no,
it wasn't this unexplained horrific illness
that was secretly coming into your life.
It was your husband who was drugging you and dosing you
so that when you were knocked out unconscious,
these disgusting, creepy men would come over and assault you.
How fucking awful is that?
Sorry for cussing, but like, it is the worst betrayal ever.
So apparently her husband found all of these gross, disgusting men on this online chat
board called Without Their Knowledge, which, let me just repeat that again, guys.
The chat board was called without their knowledge.
Once again, it's like these people
are hiding in plain sight, right?
Not even hiding.
So anyway, he would message men on this online form
and he would ask them to rape his wife.
He would specifically tell them not to smoke any cigarettes,
not to wear any perfume, none of that,
before coming into the house,
all because he didn't want his wife
to know that anybody had been there.
So, you know, like like don't come in with anything
that could be a scent that could be left behind
or where she could be suspecting of something happening.
And he would tell them to undress
before entering the couple's bedroom.
Then he would direct them and say,
you need to leave at any sign or indication
that Gisele's waking up.
And then once the plan was in place
and once they had agreed to all of these rules that he put in place, before the
men came over he would slip his wife's sleeping pills. He would put it in her
food and her drink and then once they got there and they were ready to rape
his wife, he would film these attacks all while they were happening. Now as if
things couldn't get any worse, that wasn't the only thing that police found
on his computer.
They also found a folder titled Around My Daughter Naked.
And inside this folder,
it contained photos of their adult daughter named Caroline.
And in those photos, she too was unconscious and naked.
Now in one of these photos,
she's wearing a pair of underwear
that apparently isn't hers. And while this other detail hasn't been confirmed,
Caroline believes that she too was drugged and raped by her father.
Investigators also found photos of other women who ended up being he and Giselle's
two daughter-in-laws. These pictures were unknowingly taken as well. This time the
women were naked inside a bathroom.
So he clearly just has this, you know, I don't want to say pattern.
I mean, it seems more like a habit or a routine of taking photos and videos of naked women,
even relatives, whether they're in his bathroom, up the women's skirts at the grocery stores,
his own daughter while she's unconscious naked,
his wife while she's being raped all at his direction and conspiring, it's disgusting.
So obviously finding out all of this information
and finding these disgusting folders
with all of these graphic, horrific images,
it was a huge shock to their entire family.
Giselle and Dom had been together for around 50 years.
They had three children together.
So many people thought
that their marriage was healthy, loving, strong, perfect, all of the things. Nobody knew what was
truly going on behind closed doors. But now all three of their children who are adults who have
their own children, you know, children of their own, they're all kind of wondering what else did
our dad do? Did he hurt our kids? Did he hurt us? Which I
can't imagine how scary it is for these grown adults now, these parents
themselves, to know that this man could have done something to really any single
one of them, all without them knowing. So he's currently on trial for all of these
crimes and he faces nine charges, several counts of rape with aggravated
circumstances, drugging a victim to commit rape, and sharing images related to the
assault. Now, 50 of the 72 men who assaulted his wife Giselle have been
identified. They all range in ages from 26 years old to 74 years old, and they,
the ones who have been identified at least, have also been charged with
aggravated rape.
Now what's interesting, whether this is actually true or whether it's just them trying to throw
something to the wall hoping that it sticks, some of these men are claiming that they were
never even aware that Gisele had been drugged.
They thought that this whole thing was like a sexual game between a husband and a wife,
which there are fetishes out there like that,
where whether it is a couple together
or just a single person,
they will set up kind of like this ruse
to pretend that somebody's breaking in,
even though they leave the door unlocked,
they pretend to be unconscious, they pretend to be raped.
Sometimes it is a couple who does that,
and like the man watches because that's what he gets off on,
watching his wife be attacked or have sex whatever it is.
So it's not that it is completely unheard of. There definitely is a market for that type of fetish and sex activity and sex game.
But that's what these men are claiming. If that's true or not, we don't know.
Now as for Dom, he's admitted to what he did, but get this, this creep has the audacity
to blame Giselle, his wife, for all of his actions.
He says that she is the one who refused to try swinging.
So because of that,
because she didn't wanna be a swinger,
he had no other choice but to resort to drugging
and raping her, which, I don't know,
make that make sense, What a complete loser.
But get this, he also is taking it a step further
and he's saying that these charges
that have now come against him,
they've ruined his life, his life.
And he says that he and Gisele could have continued
with their quote, happy marriage,
if none of this had ever been discovered.
I know I already said this, but like the gall,
the audacity, not only for him to do this, but then to blame Gisele and then take it a step further
saying now that I've been caught it's ruining my life we could have had a happy marriage she never
would have known I can't believe this all came out. No bro, you're the problem. And like if you
want to be a swinger just go with the Mormon girls TikTok, right? I just binged that whole series and it was so good.
So anyways, Giselle was given the option of a private trial,
but she's very, very strong in this.
And she completely refused that.
She wants her story out there.
She wants her name in the public.
And she wants to show people that they shouldn't be ashamed
of any abuse that they've ever had to go through.
Any sexual assaults, any physical assaults. Don't let it silence you. Don't be, you know, pushed into the corners
of the darkness and hiding from it. Speak your truth. Be strong in that." So she wants
her story told, and she even testified during her trial.
It was hard to recognize myself. Then the officer showed me a second photo and a third. I asked him to stop.
It was unbearable.
I was lifeless in my bed and a man was raping me.
My world fell apart.
I'm speaking now not for myself, but for all the women who are drugged and abused.
During the trial, experts have said that her husband Dom has a split personality.
They even compared him to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and saying that he would be this model
citizen in public, but then at the same time, he was extremely self-centered and really
enjoyed manipulating people, kind of like he had two faces, two different characteristics.
Experts also believe that he has, quote, fantasies of necrophilia.
So not only is it enough for
him to take pictures of naked women without their consent and knowledge and
have his wife raped by strangers while she's unconscious, but he also
apparently wants to have sex with the dead bodies. Disgusting. Now as of where
the trial currently stands, it's at the moment delayed because he was taken to
the hospital for abdominal pain and as of right now we don't
know when the trial will resume. But this is a case that I am following so closely. Like I said,
I might do a deep dive. I haven't really seen many people dive into this case. I've seen very topical
news segments. So if you do want a deep dive, let me know either on the Q&A section on Spotify or
in the review section on Apple. But I think the fact that this is so complex and there are so many people who have been
charged at this point, and even though 50 have been charged, we're still missing 22
people who haven't been identified.
I think it's important because Gisele is saying she wants her story told and she wants to
bring awareness to this issue so that victims and survivors don't feel like they have to
stay quiet or be ashamed of anything they've endured.
And I think that's so powerful.
And that really is what's kind of calling me to cover this case in a deep dive type of way,
because when you think about it and set back, it is such an important message that survivors and victims should never, ever in a million years be ashamed or embarrassed or anything like that.
So if there's a case where the survivor is wanting to platform her story and wanting
to share it with the world to help drive that message home, I think why not?
I mean, I think that's so empowering and so powerful and I would love to be a part of
that and help hopefully make victims and survivors alike
feel stronger in that.
So moving on now into another case,
we have some updates in Idaho, the Brian Coburger case.
And this is one that I didn't think
that we would see very many updates in in the near future,
but we do.
And I gotta say, I'm kinda shocked
with what's coming out right now.
So this last Monday, a judge ruled that Brian Coburger's trial must be
moved out of the county where the crimes occurred.
We know that they have been filing for and fighting for a
change of venue.
I truthfully didn't know that it would ever happen,
but it has now happened and I have done a lot of videos
about Brian Coburger on my YouTube channel,
Tend to Life.
So I really do recommend you go watch them and get fully caught up.
We have covered every single aspect of this case.
But for those of you who aren't familiar with that name,
Brian is the man who was accused of killing
the four Idaho college students back in November of 2022,
entering the house in the middle of the night
and literally brutally slaying all four of these young kids.
So Brian's defense team, as I mentioned, had requested to move the trial.
I didn't think it would happen. It did.
But they argued that he wouldn't receive a fair trial because the Ladaw County is very small,
and they believed that the jurors would hold biases against Brian because everybody in that
town and in that county knows what happened. They're very familiar with the case.
The prosecution, though, in turn, argued that other measures could have been put in place to ensure that he did have
a fair trial. But ultimately, the judge ended up siding with the defense. And in the decision
to move the trial, the judge wrote, quote, Considering the undisputed evidence presented
by the defense, the extreme nature of the news coverage in this case, and the smaller population
of Ladaw County, the defense
has met the rather low standard of demonstrating reasonable likelihood that prejudicial news
coverage will compromise a fair trial in Ladaw County. And while I do understand that decision
because everybody in that county of course does know about this case and maybe they even have some
sort of connection to the victims, not that it's family members, but by extension, or they have a child who goes to that college,
who knows?
But I kind of think you're going to be hard pressed to find any county that isn't familiar
with this case.
I mean, that's just my opinion.
Let me know what you think, but I feel like this is such a massive case and Brian Koberger
is now at this point kind of a household name,
I think you're going to be hard pressed to find anywhere in Idaho that hasn't heard about
this case and that might not have a little bias on the jury.
And the victims' families are also very upset with this new ruling and with this change
of venue.
They're saying, if the judge knew that Ladaw County couldn't handle this trial, then why
did we waste over a year in a county that he knew was not going to handle the trial?
And I understand why they are frustrated by this, because it feels like it's just yet
again another delay in getting justice.
Now a new location hasn't yet been determined, however the defense has requested to move
the trial to Boise, Idaho.
So I will let you know what happens there.
Now, months ago, I did a deep dive on a case of Elijah Vu.
Elijah was a three-year-old little boy
who went missing on February 20th in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
I did this deep dive over on my YouTube channel,
but I will link it in the show notes for you
so that you can get caught up.
But short version of it, Cliff Note version,
Elijah was reported missing by Jesse Vang,
the boyfriend of Elijah's mother, Katrina.
Now this case and the behavior and routines
and punishments that this couple inflicted on Elijah
is god awful and horrific,
which I'm not gonna rehash all of that here.
You can go listen for yourself,
but please listen at your own discretion. But anyways, Jesse had told officers that he last
saw Elijah around 8 a.m. on February 20th. That was when he had told Elijah to stand next to his
bed and to pray as a punishment for his behavior. That just gives you a little sneak preview into
what these people did. He says that then he fell asleep and when he woke up, Elijah was gone.
So like I said, I'm not going to go into the details of the case here, but both Jesse
and Katrina were arrested shortly after Elijah's disappearance and they were charged with child
neglect. It's a horrific story. So currently they're still in jail because they haven't
posted bond. But meanwhile, there's been this huge search for Elijah ever since he went
missing. Investigators and local volunteers have searched rivers, they have searched rural areas, local
landfills, farms, everywhere they could possibly think of.
But there's been absolutely no trace of Elijah.
However, this past week, a deer hunter called the police to report that he found human remains
on a private property in Two Rivers.
Police haven't released any information
about those human remains that were found,
and we don't know the age, we don't know the gender,
we don't know the race, we don't know any of that.
But many people are suspecting
that the remains belong to Elijah.
However, we won't know for sure
until the DNA testing is completed.
But Elijah's grandmother, Jody, wrote on Facebook and said,
"'It's likely that the body does belong to Elijah,
but it's not confirmed until the DNA has come back.
They have not confirmed exactly what was found.
Now on one hand, I think we all kind of hold out hope,
optimistic hope I should say, in a lot of these cases
that when these kids go missing,
it will be a rescue and not a recovery.
However, if this is in fact a recovery effort
and they did find his remains,
what is positive about that is that his extended family,
his grandmother and those who truly did love Elijah
can begin to grieve and start to have peace moving forward,
not this, you know, just looming unknown all of the time,
wondering where he is, wondering if he's being hurt, if he's being abused, if he's with somebody else, if he had been abducted,
at least at that point, I'm not going to say closure, but you can start to move forward and
then hold the people accountable for whatever happened accountable, right? So we'll see.
Nothing's been confirmed yet, but I wanted to just at least put the update in here since we have
covered this case before.
Now we have a few more cases to go over,
but first we are gonna take a quick break
and hear from the sponsor of today's episode.

Okay, so this next case is truly, truly troubling because there is seemingly no reason as to why it happened. In Brisbane, Australia on August 31st, just a couple of weeks ago, this young family was
really just like minding their own business, having this nice family picnic at a local park, but then suddenly a random man walked up to them, just approached
them out of nowhere, and he poured this flask of hot coffee all over their 9-month-old son
Luca, just out of nowhere.
Then this man just immediately took off and ran away.
A young nurse witnessed this attack, and she immediately helped the family administer first aid to Luca. She took him to her nearby apartment and ran his burns
under cold water. Then the baby was finally taken to a hospital where he received proper
medical treatment for these horrific severe burns that were on his legs, arms, and even
face. But nobody knew why this happened or who this creep was that dumped the coffee
and then ran. does that right?
So police found CCTV footage of the man fleeing the scene
Then once he fled the scene he took a taxi to the downtown area and eventually they started driving to New South Wales
Then days after the attack before the police could even identify him the man boarded a flight at the Sydney Airport
and left the country.
Police know the identity of the man and also where he flew to, however, they're not releasing the
information yet because they don't want to jeopardize the investigation. He's a foreigner,
apparently, who often traveled to Australia for work, but they haven't said much else. They have
said that the man was actively taking measures to avoid the police, though. He was trying to fly under the radar. He was trying to evade them, but they haven't said
exactly what he was doing. Australian police are working with different international forces to now
try and catch this man, and it seems like they are very close to doing so. And I think that's part of
the reason as to why they're not sharing a lot of information about his identity yet because if they're close to closing in they probably
don't want to jeopardize anything or you know give him a tip or give him the
Heads up that they know who he is and that they're on his trail and on his path and all the things
Now as for baby Luca Luca is doing well, however, he did have to receive skin graft surgery
He also likely will need more surgeries in the future.
And even though he's doing better,
as I'm sure you can imagine,
his family is still having a really difficult time,
which understandably so.
They're trying to deal with what happened to their baby
and why.
I can't even imagine just being at a park
with your children, having a nice like picnic,
and this monster just runs up and dumps hot coffee
on your newborn. I mean not newborn but nine month old. Pretty newborn right? It's
horrible. I've been living in fear, anxiety, stress. I just want to know why.
Why he did this? So I'm right there with her. Why? Why on earth did this guy do
such an atrocious thing
to a young baby?
I can't imagine how much pain that little boy is in
and it's just so disgusting what happened to him.
Because then you grow up knowing you were the victim
of this attack for no reason.
It's like, it's just so difficult to reconcile.
You truly have to be a evil, terrible person
to do what this man did to Luca.
So let's just hope he's
found soon. Let's hope he's arrested, held accountable, and that he can't do
this to another family. Now I'm going to shift gears a little bit and I want to
talk about what happened in Georgia. I wasn't sure how I wanted to address this
but something has been calling and pulling at me that we do need to talk about this.
Now, as I'm sure you guys saw on the news
and on your social media feeds,
and I feel like we're seeing
quite a few of these pop up lately,
back on September 4th, there was an awful tragedy
that struck the town of Winder, Georgia.
A mass shooting occurred at Appalachee High School,
and two students and two teachers were killed and nine people were injured.
That same day, 14-year-old Colt Gray was arrested and charged with four counts of felony murder.
According to a student who had an algebra class with Colt, Colt left the classroom at
about 9.45 a.m.
When he left, the door automatically locked behind him.
Colt eventually came back and tried to get into that classroom.
So the student went to open the door for Colt, but they saw through the door window that Colt was holding an AR-15 style gun.
So seeing that, the student would not let Colt back inside.
So because of that, Colt turned around and fired 10-15 shots into another classroom that was
nearby.
Now, at the sound of the gunshots, multiple teachers and students started calling 911.
Then the school went into lockdown around 10-20 a.m., which is shortly after those first
shots were fired.
Law enforcement arrived at the school at 10-23 a.m., just three minutes after they went into
lockdown.
And shortly after after the school resource
officers, which are kind of like campus police officers who work at the school, they cornered
Colt who eventually put the gun down and surrendered. He was immediately arrested and he was taken into
police custody. The victims of the shooting are 14-year-old Christian Ongulo, 14-year-old Christian Ongulo, 14 year-old Mason Shermahorn, math teacher and football coach
Richard Aspinwall, and another math teacher named Christina Aramay. Mason was known as a very happy
and fun kid who liked to tell jokes, who liked to play video games. Christian's sister described him
also as a criminal.

He was charged with four counts of felony murder and he's likely going to be tried as a criminal.
He was charged with four counts of felony murder and he's likely going to be tried as a criminal.
He was charged with four counts of felony murder and he's likely going to be tried as a criminal. So Colt, the shooter, appeared in court on Friday, September 6th.
He was charged with four counts of felony murder, and he's likely going to be tried
as an adult.
However, Colt wasn't the only person to appear in court that day.
Colt's father, 54-year-old Colin Gray, also appeared in court.
He was arrested the day prior, and he was charged with two counts of second degree murder, four counts of manslaughter, and eight counts of cruelty to children.
See, the reason he was charged in all of this too is because he admitted to purchasing the
AR-15 style rifle for Colt.
He bought this for him as a Christmas present back in December of 2023. So because of his charges and his involvement,
he could face up to 180 years in prison.
Now we always talk about how can we prevent
these tragedies from happening.
Is there ever a warning sign?
Is there something to look for?
Is it gun control?
And I'm not gonna get political on here and share my views,
but I bring that up because just months before
Colin purchased that gun for Colt,
in May of 2023, they were both interviewed
by police officers.
This was after the FBI had received tips
about an online school shooting threat.
They found a Discord account,
which Discord is like a messaging app,
kind of that you can go under the radar a little bit with,
and it was linked
to an email account that Colt owned. The account name referenced the Sandy Hook Elementary school
shooter, and in multiple posts the account's user wrote, quote, I'm committing a mass shooting and
I'm waiting a good two to three years. I can't kill myself yet because I'm not contributing anything
to culture and I need to go out knowing that I did.
The account also posted pictures of guns with the caption, quote, I'm ready.
So when Colt and Colin were interviewed by police,
Colin said that Colt had been having a lot of issues lately, that Colin had recently
separated from Colt's mother and the divorce was very difficult on Colt. He also said that Colt was being picked on at school.
So when they were asked about guns in the house,
Collin said that they owned hunting rifles and that they had been teaching
Colt about different gun safety precautions and that the guns in the house were
never loaded.
He struggled first with the separation law. School was kind of so,
so, so I've been up with school
countless times just tracking with it you know hey make sure you're good they
understand what's going on he goes to Jefferson middle school so he's been doing really good
well man do you have weapons in the house? I do. Are they accessible to him? They are.
I mean, there's nothing loaded, but they are down.
We actually, we do a lot of shooting.
We do a lot of deer hunting.
He shot his first deer this year.
You know, so, like I'm pretty much in shot,
to be honest with you.
Well.
I'm a little pissed off to be even really honest with you.
If that is what was said. So. I mean, I swear to God pissed off to be even really honest with you if that is what was said
So I mean we've been I swear to God we went up school
I've been up school like come on first name
I just was up there three days ago for his finals make talk to the principal like look
Make sure Colts good. He gets flustered and under pressure. He doesn't really think straight
Can we just you know, just kind of put your arms around and get him through seventh grade, I just want to make sure he's good.
Like, I mean, we're up there all the time talking to him in school.
I don't know anything about him saying shit like that, and I'm gonna be mad as
hell if he did. And then all the guns will go away, and they won't be accessible to him.
You know, I'm trying to be honest with you, I'm trying to teach him about firearms and
safety and how to do it all and get him interested in the outdoors.
Like on my phone.
He's been getting away from those video games.
Exactly right.
That's the God-honest truth.
And the picture on my phone was him with blood on his cheeks
from shooting his first deer.
And it's just the greatest day ever.
So he knows the seriousness of weapons and what they can do
and how to use them and not use them.
So it's kind of a little bit of a shock.
So in whatever y'all are telling him, please instill in him that if this is whatever or where this has come from, it's no joke.
Like it's no joke.
Well, it wouldn't be here if it was.
No, I know. I know. And I'm telling you right now we talk about it quite a bit.
When Colt was interviewed, he denied writing anything about the school shootings.
And he said that he never even used Discord. He had deleted the account months before.
He had no involvement in this.
And that Discord account that I had, I had deleted it before.
Because before you moved here?
Yeah, because I think it got like
in a past report or something like I clicked on a link and somebody had it. Have you heard anybody
on this cord when you were using it say something like that and remember it? Like at that time? Yeah.
Um I don't think so. I don't think I ever had anybody that. I mean I'm not trying to get
anybody hammed up but like this is some serious stuff.
Yeah, oh he knows how serious this is, trust me. I'd hate to, you know my boss was leaving like,
you know, I don't know how old this information is and if you want to wait till Monday to follow up.
I was like, nah, I'd rather do it now. So would we. Because God forbid something happened and I didn't
do my job. I'd feel pretty bad about. So I just want to make sure you understand
that if something like that happened
or you hear something like that,
report it, tell it to your dad, tell teacher or whatever.
Like I told him, I would promise I would never say something.
So you haven't used this cord in a few months?
No, no, no.
And you're saying you didn't say anything like that?
No, all we're gonna have is two dogs,
but I just go around there and watch what they do.
Okay.
So before the police left, Colin said that he would talk to Colt about the seriousness of guns
and also the seriousness of school shootings.
No arrests were made because the investigators didn't have enough evidence, you know,
to take any additional law enforcement action.
They just had to check in on this tip and then move on.
But by all accounts, there had been a threat and ideations that had taken place from Colt.
This was over a year before the shooting in Georgia took place.
It also has been reported that Colt's mom called the school the morning of the attack.
Now, like I said, Colt's parents were divorced and Colt was living with his father.
His mother lived hundreds of miles away.
But that morning, she felt like something wasn't right after she had received a random text message from Colt
that said, I'm sorry, Mom.
So that's immediately when she felt inclined
to call the school.
Apparently, she had had conversations
with the school counselor in the past
because Colt was heard making references
to different school shootings.
So she was worried that that text message
that Colt had sent her was signaling that he was about to do something very drastic. So she called the
school around 950 a.m. and she told school officials that they needed to
find her son and they needed to find him immediately. She said that this was an
emergency and that they needed to go check on him. So school administrators
went to go find Colt but they ended up pulling out the
wrong kid from class. The kid had a similar name to Colt, but it wasn't Colt. But this also wasn't
the only call that was apparently made to the school that morning. Apparently an unknown person
also called the school and said that there was going to be shootings at five schools that day,
and they said that that school was going to be the first.
So it just seems by the information we have,
Colt did have these ideations going back
at least over a year and a half,
which you've gotta wonder why would his dad
then buy him a gun months after the police and the FBI
were investigating that Discord account.
That seems really reckless.
I'm glad that the mom
stepped in and she felt something was wrong so she called the school but then it's like they pulled
the wrong kid. They also got another tip that morning. So why didn't the school go into lockdown
earlier? I don't know what the right answer is and I don't know how those situations should be
handled. I'm not in that space. All I know is this was once again a horrific school shooting where four victims lost their lives.
And neither Colt or Collin has entered a plea at this time, but they are both set to return to court on December 4th.
So we'll see what happens.
Now our next case takes us to Oregon.
And on September 4th, 34-year-old Melissa from Beaverton, Oregon was reported as missing.
Melissa was a nurse and didn't show up to her morning shift, which because of that,
it concerned her coworkers and it caused them to call the police to then perform a welfare
check on her.
So when the police went to Melissa's apartment, there was no sign of her.
She hadn't communicated with anybody that afternoon, but there was also no activity
on her bank account.
It just seemed really suspicious, pretty shady.
Her purse, her keys, her wallet, they were all missing,
yet her car was still parked
inside the apartment parking garage.
Now Melissa married her husband, Brian,
at the end of August,
so just a few days before she went missing.
And at the time of Melissa's disappearance,
he was actually out of the state.
He was with family in Washington,
and Brian hadn't heard from Melissa
since 6 a.m. that morning. So with all of the things that
were missing and her car still being there, plus it being so strange for
Melissa to not show up to work and not communicate with anybody throughout the
day, she was officially reported as missing later that afternoon. But then
just a couple of days later on Saturday, September 7th, investigators announced
that they found Melissa's body.
They also had arrested her neighbor, 27-year-old Bryce Schubert.
He was charged with second-degree murder, and he's currently being held in jail.
However, the police haven't shared any information regarding Melissa's death or Bryce's direct
involvement, where her body was found, what the motive was.
Nobody really knows anything. So it's one of those cases that is still currently breaking
and we're going to be following closely. But it's so sad because she was a newlywed. She was only
34 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her. I don't know what the involvement with the
neighbor was. Maybe he was breaking in to assaultter and then it escalated. I don't
know. We're waiting on more information so I will keep you updated in that. Now I
gotta bring up a case that I also didn't think that I'd be talking about again
at all in the near future and it has to do with Barry Morphew. If you're
unfamiliar with Barry Morphew, he is a man who was charged and arrested for the
disappearance of his wife Suzanne Morphew.
She went missing back in 2020.
The charges against Barry have since been dismissed, but it's a pretty complex case.
And if you want to know more about it, I did post a deep dive on YouTube, so I'll link it.
But basically, she was having an affair.
She was confiding in friends that she was going to leave her husband.
He came home one day.
There's all these movements that were tracked where he's like,
it looks as though he's chasing her around the yard
and like has a tranquilizer gun and like,
then he goes to a hotel which it reeks of bleach afterward.
All these things where it's like, okay,
the husband did it, right?
Pretty obvious.
But he was arrested, then they didn't have a body
at that point and they didn't have enough evidence
to make the charges stick or enough to where they felt like they could win if they brought it to
trial.
So they dismissed the charges and then were basically like, okay, once we find the body,
if there's more to time, we'll recharge him.
We just don't want to lose things.
So like, let's take a step back.
They ended up finding the body.
He still has not been recharged.
But the whole point in all of that is that this Tuesday,
a Colorado State Disciplinary Board ruled that the district attorney
Linda Stanley should be disbarred because of multiple ethic violations
that she did on this case.
Linda is the one who led the prosecution team against Barry.
So months ago, Linda was accused of making very inappropriate comments
to the media regarding
the Barrymorefew case.
She publicly spoke with multiple true-crime content creators about the case, even though
it was still active, it was still ongoing, it just didn't really seem very professional.
So there was a complaint that was filed against Linda.
And in the complaint, it said, quote, she violated seven rules of professional conduct
for attorneys by speaking publicly
about multiple open criminal cases.
It also suggested that she withheld evidence from Barry's defense attorneys for as long
as two months.
So she had a disciplinary hearing regarding the complaint just this past June.
And now the disciplinary board ruled that Linda should be quote appropriately disciplined
for such misconduct and her disbarment will take effect in 35 days. This just feels like a
huge flop for the Barrymore few case because I don't know what's gonna happen
I don't know if he's gonna be recharged. My gut still says he 1000% did this. It's
like you have the bobcat you have him saying she was riding her bike and fell
it's so shady guys to where it's like anybody who
Watches one of my deep dive episodes or knows the case would look at this and be like, okay
Barry Morphew 1000% is guilty, but I get it. You are cloaked in innocence until you're proven guilty in a court of law and
We have seen in cases where it looks so glaringly obvious that the spouse is the one involved and it was somebody else.
But like I would be willing to bet a lot of money that Barry was involved, whether he did it directly or hired a hit.
I don't know. But again, I'll link that so you can fully catch up on the case.
And we don't know if he's going to be recharged.
Who knows? But the fact that Linda is now being disbarred over all of this and about over her involvement and her ethic violations,
that is a pretty big blow.
So TBD on what's to come with this case.
Now, if you feel like you still are needing more
of a true crime fix going into the weekend,
I wanna remind you that we do
our Friday ad-free bonus episodes.
They're exclusive to the podcast.
They are, you can get access to it through Apple podcasts or you can get access to it through Patreon and then listen on Spotify.
But tomorrow's case has been an obsession that's been in the true crime community for literally the past three years.
And the reason why is because people want answers about a very particularly gruesome murder of a woman and her dog. We're talking 50 stab wounds, also letters
that were carved into her body and it all went down in a public park in a major city all without a
single witness seeing or hearing anything that was going on. The Reddit threads have been pouring
over this case for years and it's interesting because nobody's really ever talked about it.
So we dive into it in a pretty deep way.
It's on the podcast tomorrow.
It's all ad free.
Again, you can get access either on Apple podcasts directly
or through Spotify.
Other than that, I will be back on the mic with you.
First thing Monday morning
with an all new deep dive into a case.
Thank you guys so much for listening.
If you have an extra 30 seconds
and you're listening on Apple,
if you could give this a rating and a review,
let me know what you wanna hear more about
in the review section.
I also am curious if you guys want more mini cases
or if you liked the headline highlights
where we go over a bunch of cases.
So maybe I'll put a poll up over on Spotify.
Anyways, thank you guys so much for listening.
Get the tour tickets, that will be linked in the show notes.
Get your merch before it's sold out.
It might actually already be sold out now that I am thinking about it, but all those
links will be in the show notes.
And until the next one, please, please, please stay safe, be nice, don't kill people, don't
join any cults, and just take care of yourself.
All right.
Thanks guys.
Bye.
