Starting point is 00:00:38 Visit connectsontario.ca. Let's go. hi guys and welcome back to another episode of sex slides and dm slides with me saffron barker and me anastasia kingsnorth so we are back for another week and back for another opportunity to deep dive into all things sex and relationships first of all happy belated birthday she's 24 thank you thanks very much how were the celebrations you know i feel old do you actually feel very old yeah well you actually feel different do you feel different from 23 like no but at 23 i was feeling old so do you know what it is i feel like this year right now I feel really quite content in my life and I feel as if I've just grown as a person if I say so myself so I don't know what it is I was
Starting point is 00:01:33 just feeling old anyways okay I don't know I feel grown I generally feel grown it's weird I mean that's a nice thing yeah and like all my other birthdays I went out to Ibiza like for like the last three years and this birthday all I wanted to do was just spend it with my family a nice wholesome really not do anything that special we did darts we did karaoke and I'm like the fact that that's what I'm enjoying I'm like wow I'm really getting old yeah babe I feel you because I'm going the exact same way so I saw you did one too many tequila shots though at the shard because I watched all your stories and I was like oh my god yeah well that was the weekend celebrations that was my actual birthday but yes I'm absolutely that person that drags out my birthday for as long as I possibly can as you should so as I should uh
Starting point is 00:02:19 you know how many shots I did how many was it actually in the end yeah guess 12 12 was actually 12 but we're not sure if it could have been 15 because there was a bit of a blur in the night was it all tequila I did 12 tequila shots oh that is on my birthday that's hell well not my birthday but the weekend celebrations of my birthday so it was it was a lot it was a lot hangover violent i'm assuming yeah do you know what it's actually put me off drinking for quite a while you know sometimes you have to have those days where you go like over the edge and then it puts you off for the longest time yeah but i'm actually quite glad because i feel like i've needed that because i've been drinking so much recently and i've not been having that feeling and i'm like let's do it
Starting point is 00:03:04 again you know what my mom's like let's do it again. My mum's like what's happened to you? It is the taste of tequila. I think that's enough to put anybody off alcohol. The minute I have a tequila shot in my mouth. I can't even swallow it straight away. Because I know how vile it is. True. It is just horrendous.
Starting point is 00:03:17 When I was on the cruise. We met this guy. And he was making us drink this tequila. Called Casamigos. Or something like that. And he was making us drink it with mango called like casamigos or something like that and he was making us drink it with mango juice and it was so nice but it was lethal now that was the first time i bet libby was drinking those but she was never a favorite drink absolutely loved it but it was lethal the first time i'd like thought of having tequila as like a normal drink instead of like
Starting point is 00:03:42 vodka um and yeah it's it's hell it's put it's definitely put me off tequila for a very very very long time let's go it's a new day how can you make the most of it with your membership rewards points earn points on everyday purchases use them for that long-awaited vacation you, earn points on everyday purchases. Starting point is 00:05:10 and then i went out on the weekend and partied really hard with my friend yeah but you've got to have the balance of doing both true true true no actually was my favorite birthday today i think i've had a lot of health scares in my family very recently. And the day before my birthday, my brother had to have another heart surgery. I saw. Because he would have had a heart attack again. So, honestly, how... It's just been non-stop.
Starting point is 00:05:37 It's non-stop. So I think I was just genuinely so grateful that all of my... Well, even the geronimogen wasn't there. My family were there and actually just healthy. I just yeah it was just the best feeling ever so yeah had the best birthday but how about you how was the cruise the cruise was amazing i feel like it was better than the last cruise we did because i preferred the stops on this one yeah so much better right apart from when we went to santorini we had to walk up the hill which honestly I thought was going to be the end of me like I and that's not even in a dramatic way like you know how big that
Starting point is 00:06:11 hill was walking up that in 35 degree heat with no water was actually a death wish so I wouldn't do that again but it was really fun I met someone on the ship very similar to the person i met last year um oh no yeah babe but this this one is arguably worse than last year no which i didn't think i didn't kiss this one i didn't kiss this one but he was 32 and on the first night we were sat in the galley and he came over and just sat with us. And he turned to Libby and Taylor and was like, oh, you two a couple? They were like, yeah, yeah, we're together. And then turned to me and Byron, he was like, are you two together?
Starting point is 00:06:53 And we were like, no, no, we're best friends. And he was like, amazing, because respectfully, I want you. And I thought, oh, God, here we go again. I thought, literally, here we go again. So I thought, I'm just going to play it off. Like, he got my Instagram, whatever. I thought, I'm just not, he was's really good looking but I just wasn't interested as the days go on I get these messages like Queen Anastasia's got such an amazing ring to it I want to hand feed you grapes I want to hand feed you fruit you're my sleeping beauty like all these like insane compliments and like
Starting point is 00:07:22 comments I was just like oh my god this is just awful like because the thing is like wait he was saying this in person no no this was on message but like then you'd bump into each other on the ship and like because you're on the ship you can't escape each other like if this has happened on the last night it's so fine because i'm getting off but you know we're not getting off and then he messaged me on one of the mornings and he was like i've got a surprise for you can you come to my room and i said and i yeah I said to Brian, I said, I can't go to his room. Like I can't go to his room. Like I can't,
Starting point is 00:07:47 I don't know what it is. Cause we'd heard on the ship that he was into a lot of BDSM bondage sort of stuff. He told quite a few people. He was like the man of the ship that everybody knew. So yes, I was, I'm not. Why do you always get people like this?
Starting point is 00:08:02 I was like, I'm genuine question. Why do you actually get genuinely babe? I don't know. So I was like, I'm. Genuine question. Why do you actually get people like this? Genuinely, babe. I don't know. So I was like, I am not going to his room. So for a couple of days, I'm thinking, God, what was this surprise? Blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:08:12 And on the last morning, he messaged me saying, I'm probably not going to get to see you now. But I'd actually booked us a couple's massage so we could get to know each other in a relaxing way. And I thought. On the i thought on the ship on the ship and first of all these this couple's massage right because we'd looked at how much they were they were like 500 on this ship so i thought why was he going to pay that two we wouldn't even be able to talk anyway because we're in a couple's massage three i don't want to get naked in front of someone like we're not a couple like it was just the most bizarre but also imagine you two trying to get to know each other doing a couple's massage oh yeah so what's your favorite color imagine the people doing the massage i just couldn't and like honestly when i told libby she was absolutely pissing herself like i've never seen we were crying laughing because i was
Starting point is 00:09:00 like how surely how has this happened to me again like again i just couldn't and then bless his heart love is real love is real he's been sent let me tell you he's been sending me is it gifts or gifs whatever you say literally commenting on my photos dming them ever since i'm home i'm getting every gift under the sun in my dms so bless his heart love you so much because you actually just need to send him your address he can send you actual gifts and no for real he's from he's from new york he's american so yeah i want to see what he's like okay i'll send you his instagram after this is actually wild so libby met him also yeah oh babe if you ask libby about this man she will tell you everything about him everything because he loved he loved it and he was there by himself he was there with his family
Starting point is 00:09:44 so i met his mom at one one night because his mom was like sat at the casino it and he was there by himself he was there with his family so i met his mom at one one night because his mom was like sat at the casino table and he was like come over and meet my mom i thought oh god like this is just a lot and he was calling us his lion pride like me byron taylor and libby his lion pride he said like we were his like lion pride of the trade yeah oh my god it was all just you know you do meet some really interesting people on the cruise but we it was so lovely i just i obviously he didn't get the message that i wasn't quite interested like that um that is hilarious but i don't know how you get the men like that i really don't neither do i because i actually don't do anything i wasn't doing anything maybe
Starting point is 00:10:22 you're too friendly though maybe that's actually it babe well maybe but like on the first night when we met him they were having a you know when people are having like political debates and I thought you know what I don't even want to get involved in this so I was sat in silence I generally wasn't even saying anything and that was when I got the respectfully I really I really like you and he kept sending messages honestly I'll have to screenshot you the messages it was just wild every morning we'd wake up and i go baron i've got another one baron i've got another one oh my god yeah so babe true love does really exist true love exists on a virgin cruise what can i say it happens to me every year so next year you've nearly met two husbands on a virgin cruise well it always comes in threes if you're single you know straight where to go
Starting point is 00:11:03 honestly it would always come to might be a little bit older, but... That's all right, yeah. Well, last year, I think it was like 35. This year, it was like 32. So we're getting lower gradually as we go. Everyone I am meeting always does have some weird sex stories, though. Or they're into like some... Because you remember the guy last year, he was really like the same way inclined.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Yeah. So I... Divorce, wasn't it? Yes, I don't know what goes off on the cruises. But next year maybe third year lucky babe i think it's what you attract i just don't give off these vibes so i don't understand like it's just so bizarre but anyway next year so third time lucky maybe i'll find someone my age and i actually will like them back and it will be a love story that will blossom
Starting point is 00:11:42 but it's not like this year how was your cruise did you have anything like that on your cruise oh it was so good didn't have any weird situations like that i'm not gonna lie god i was hoping you were gonna have one although it's really awkward this one time this man i think he was being really nice but it's really strange so uh me and my friend sasha were sat opposite each other everyone thought we were sisters the entire time i think because we're literally both just blue eyes and blonde hair but um his wife was sat directly opposite him and he looks at me and sasha and he goes oh my god i just have to say you two are the most two most beautiful girls i've ever seen in my life babe his wife he's about 45 what did his wife do 50 she sat there with the face of fuck you basically which i don't blame her because i probably i don't blame her
Starting point is 00:12:36 same thing too she looked fuming she's absolutely fuming we saw him another point on the ship as well and he said and he had said to well, you two stop looking so beautiful. But it was so... I don't even think he was genuinely trying to hit on us. Do you think he was just genuinely being nice? Yeah, I think he was genuinely being nice. But just weird when your wife is sat opposite you. I remember thinking that is the most awkward, bizarre thing.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Yeah. I can't say I'd be buzzing if my husband did that to two like a lot younger girls. No, absolutely bizarre. But other than that, nothing. No, I actually don't think anything weird. No, nothing like that. Right, so it's just me then.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Didn't meet any 32-year-old men who were buying me couple massages. That didn't happen for me. So it's just me any 32 year old men who were buying me couple massages that didn't happen for me so it's just me then i'm gonna leave that one firmly on the cruise uh will not be i heard you left a pineapple at your door though that's why oh my god babe this year i was looking for pineapples because i knew so many so many so many so many crazy if you basically don't know what it means to have a pineapple on the cruise it basically means that you're like open to other couples like joining in um so like cruises are really if you have it on your door it basically means my door's open yeah and like we found out last year that there was like like swinger parties and stuff
Starting point is 00:14:01 on the cruise where like people were like having these big sex parties in rooms. But so this year I was on the lookout for it and we saw so many, so many. Well, and also last year, the reason we found out was because my mum was wearing a dress of pineapples on it. So my mum didn't realise. And then all of a sudden my parents are like,
Starting point is 00:14:21 why is everyone hitting on us together? Both of us and then she very very quickly realized i need to get jay i just find that so funny like i can fully just imagine your mom and dad sat there as couples are trying to come up to them and like hit on them and be so fucking confused like to me that is just so funny what my dad is funny my dad gets hit on all in fact actually so does my mom but even my dad like gets hit on all the time but like to get hit on together is a different story yeah a hundred percent especially when it's like couple on couple like it's just a lot right and that i think freaked my parents
Starting point is 00:14:57 out yeah big time that's how we know about the pineapples so basically if you want to cruise just have a little lookout for some pineapples bib some people might be wearing them unintentionally like wendy did but like wendy like wendy but a lot of the time but then how many people actually just were owning pineapple things i don't think so yeah it's a bit of a like not every summer shop i would see tiny little pineapple stickers on doors that's what i would see were you seeing them on doors babe i saw them on doors oh shit i wasn't looking at doors I was more looking at outfits and stuff I should have looked at doors no they they put it on their doors I imagine because it basically means my doors are doing a quick little amazon
Starting point is 00:15:35 order before a sheet of 100 pineapple stickers and then just sticking them on the door I know oh my god literally well next cruise I'll be looking out for some more pineapple stickers and yeah if you want to cruise this summer just have a little look i'll be putting a pineapple on your door without you knowing but the way i would shit myself if i kept opening the door and i've got two couples standing there i'm like amazing no that'd actually be so funny though it would be really funny it would be really funny but straight away if it happens i'm gonna be like saffron's done this and i'll just do it right back at you. I'll put all around door handle.

Anyway, moving on from the cruise so a few weeks ago in episode 86 we started answering the 36 questions to fall in love test and we ran out of time so we said that we'd revisit some of the questions in another episode so we're going to do them because i've had quite a few people who listen to this podcast come up to me and say they want us to finish the questions really yeah i had two two girls at my book tour and another group of girls on the night out say we loved that episode so i was like okay this is
Starting point is 00:17:54 something we yeah so we're gonna read the questions and i've had a little like look down some of these and i'm not gonna these ones are a bit deeper babe we're getting quite deep in this episode they're not as light-hearted as the other ones okay um but just a little backstory for those of you who don't know what these questions are they were first formulated in 1997 as part of a study by a psychologist called dr arthur aaron and the objective of the study is to explore the social psychology of relationships and create closeness between two people so who's going first i feel like you start i feel like you're on a roll you start with it okay so the first one before making a telephone call do you ever rehearse what you were going to say and if you do why
Starting point is 00:18:39 yes i do but it depends what phone call or like who i'm having yeah it depends what phone call it's gonna be i and the thing is if i rehearse i do it out loud do yeah i don't even i will run through it in my head but then sometimes i'll actually say it out loud to see the different tone of voice point notes you make what notes bullet point notes of what you're gonna say okay of what i'm gonna say but it depends what type of call it is right yeah because if i'm just having a phone call with like if i was just call you i'm just calling you like i'm not calling you to like i don't need to like but if i was like breaking up with somebody or i don't know i don't know what other phone call i'd need to plan out or we've had
Starting point is 00:19:26 an argument and I need to get my point across then maybe I'd like to say it out loud to see how it sounds. Yeah I think it would have to be something like that. It'd have to be something probably negative. Otherwise the only other time I'd probably think what am I going to say is probably if it was either my first phone call
Starting point is 00:19:42 with somebody because I'd be thinking oh my god think of things to say in case it's awkward and they're like socially awkward. Yeah. Or I, yeah, like you said, if it was negative or if I was breaking up with somebody, I'd probably think of what I'm going to say because also I think it's very easy to forget your point
Starting point is 00:19:58 or somebody can distract you. I have the worst memories. It is. That's happened to me so many times when I've had phone calls with people and I've had situations and I've forgot the main point of what I wanted to ask or what I wanted to say. Yeah. So maybe that's.
Starting point is 00:20:12 So now I actually have to write bullet point notes. When are you actually, you're not even joking. You actually are writing them on your phone. Oh yeah. I have to actually write like bullet point notes. Oh, so like. Otherwise I know I'll forget what I'm going to say. And she's on the phone.
Starting point is 00:20:23 She's just like one second. And she's just changed it to her notes yeah one second i just need to go to page 36 oh yes my other point was literally me when i'm proving a point and also my other point is you've got all your backup points as well you're like and i know this is true because and you wrote them all down and if he says this you apply this uh it's okay yeah so we both know literally can i just quickly say sorry i'm interrupting go on i just realized that we're actually because i was thinking to myself these 36 questions what are the purpose of them again but i forgot it's to fall in love after is it not this couple doing 36 questions yeah they they fell in love and got married six months later yeah mad i actually do
Starting point is 00:21:02 want to do these questions with somebody question what would constitute a perfect day for you like my perfect day is spent with family and friends yeah eating good food drinking so i drink an alcohol but i just eating good food being with family and friends in the sun yeah same and i think just feeling genuine like genuinely happy like just a day like what do you know i mean like you just feel so happy the entire day yeah like there's so many things i love like i love getting up and going to the gym and like that's you know that's probably still a perfect day but i don't know if that's yeah there's a million things like that i love doing same i don't think i could i think like as a whole if i was to yeah it'd probably be just spent with family and friends having a good time
Starting point is 00:21:49 in the sun yeah same no cares all my favorite people in like one place and i'm just like laughing and happy the whole day and i like lay in bed at night i'm like oh my god that was the best day no that would be nice yeah i think being outside in the sun, definitely. Okay, question number three. When did you last sing to yourself or to someone else? This morning. You? Same. I always sing to myself. I sing every day.
Starting point is 00:22:13 I'm always walking around the house with some sort of song. Or, yeah, in my head. Like, even if I'm not singing out loud, it's in my head. Oh, no, I'm always singing out loud. Oh, I know you are, babe. I sing non-stop though that's just yeah you turn normal sentences into songs oh no i actually do that is something i think that's a good talent of mine you know it is i like it um okay if you were able to live to the age of 90
Starting point is 00:22:38 and retain which we will which we will and retain either the mind or body of a 30 year old for the last 60 years of your life which would you want body i just can't tell whether that means you're gonna retain your mind or body yeah mine should we just have more knowledge when you're older at 90 i mean yeah maybe you have worse maybe memory loss yeah if it meant i could keep all of my memories and retain all the information i already had but continue growing then my body a hundred percent imagine being 90 years old and having the body of like a 30 year old like meaning like physically that baby it'd be insane it'd be absolutely nobody would believe you when you say like oh i'm 90 people be like what i'd have no no frown line yeah because i don't care about looking old i
Starting point is 00:23:31 don't think that's like that you know like i think it's actually a beautiful thing is growing older but you know every person i know that's elderly the pain that they're in they can't walk i know right like it's just painful you know i never even looked at it like that but yeah like a healthy 30 year old body but with like yeah that's i don't think i care for the look i don't care to look like a 30 year old when i'm 90 i know yeah i wouldn't even want that yeah that's so true because you'd you'd live 90 years but you'd still be so well fingers crossed so healthy and like yeah to be able to actually just be able to be active and go to the gym or even just be able to actually just go for
Starting point is 00:24:10 a long like not many 90 year olds can do that yeah that's so true actually okay yeah so i'm gonna agree with you on that one body like i know you started to fall in love i'm falling in love at first sight running on question four. This is crazy. Oh, okay. This is a bit of a deep one. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be? Oh my God. I actually wouldn't change a thing.
Starting point is 00:24:36 I genuinely do not know what I would choose for mine. I wouldn't change anything because I think the way I've been raised is the reason I am the way I am now. So like if something had changed, I might have turned out differently and I think everything happens for a reason and every situation has happened for a reason that I'm me because of how I was raised yeah there's obviously every like everyone's going to look back at parts of their childhood and maybe be sad about certain things or like look back at things and be like oh I wish I didn't happen but actually it has happened and I've grown to have this mindset because of that so yeah I actually don't think I'd change anything I yeah I genuinely do not
Starting point is 00:25:15 think I could change a single thing like when I think of my childhood oh my god I actually could not change a thing yeah I think it's like you said I think it's because it's made us to who we are today yeah and I think I had a really interesting childhood because I lived in a house with multiple different people that weren't related to me yeah your childhood was so yeah I always forget about that I mean I wouldn't necessarily say well it was so good but like you know I'd get home actually not even many people know this but because I lived in a house full of elderly people with learning disabilities growing up because that's what my parents managed that I would get home from school
Starting point is 00:25:55 I'd have to like go and knit with everyone take them to the toilet like that was my childhood but I genuinely wouldn't change a thing because it definitely has made me who I am a hundred percent a hundred so I love hearing about like people's different upbringings and like how it shapes them into who they are now because like that is so different to what I was doing at like 10 years old or like 15 years old do you know what I mean well it's funny because like in school if there was somebody like if there was a new child in school or somebody that'd come into school you know had learning disabilities or a disability of some sort it's funny because it would always be our saffron or our jed or even our case yes i don't really remember casey in school
Starting point is 00:26:36 because he wasn't really in school same time i was but i remember me and jed it would always be saffron and jed will go take care of them because you were so used to doing it that was the thing like the teacher wouldn't even ask us it'd be Saffron and Jed will go look after them Saffron you're gonna go hang out with so-and-so today because and it was just because that was what I was used to I was used to genuinely caring for different people that was my childhood well question can you still knit now uh you know I don't know because I used to be able to knit my nan taught me for probably like three minutes i would easily remember okay yeah because it's really i remember my nan taught me
Starting point is 00:27:14 how to do it when i was younger but i haven't done it in years but i actually would love to be able to sit there with that knitting needle and do it really fast again because i used to be able to do it so fast i used to do it every day yeah it's actually really fun as well i actually really enjoyed it it's quite like therapeutic isn't it yeah i used to make do you ever make those pom-pom balls yes that's what i used to make little balls where that isn't knitting though yeah but what do you mean with the stick when you get a cardboard box no no so you get like your cereal boxes you'd cut two circles a hole in the middle and you keep um wrapping the string around until it gets until the holes fall then when the holes fall you cut around the side and it turns into a pom
Starting point is 00:27:50 pom oh no i've not done that before babe that was my childhood please if anyone remembers doing this as a child you have to wait can i actually let me see if i can find it like let me see if i can find you what i mean okay yeah show me because like this is this was i'd make one of these nearly every day really don't mind they take hours yeah because they would like when they would knit i found this more interesting and i quite like the pom-pom balls got you okay yeah because when i used to knit with my dad i wouldn't really be making anything i'd just be knitting to like knit do you know what i mean just like a long like piece of fabric but i'd love to be able to actually like make something this would be like a piece of cardboard or you'd get it from like a cereal box i don't know why there's a gap here it's not meant to it's meant to be like
Starting point is 00:28:32 this okay oh my god i've never seen then you wrap the string all the way around it and then when that hole fills up you cut around the outside and it turns into that i've never seen that before that's so cool it turns into these you've never done that i've never done that wow that was oh my god that's what i did all the time yeah that's that's how you cut it you cut it and then it turned into what did you search to get that i searched how to make your own pom-pom ball oh yeah and that is seriously what i actually did all the time oh my god okay that was my childhood would i change it maybe maybe i'd have more friends maybe i'd have more friends
Starting point is 00:29:15 okay the next one if a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself your life the future or anything else what would you want to know no i wouldn't want to know the only thing i want to know is the lottery numbers that would be a good one to know that would be well no i wouldn't like if it's just about ourselves no like would i ask you questions about what's cure for cancer sure yeah does that count as a question or is that not really the question i don't think it is really the question no i feel like it has to be about herself there's nothing i'd want to i feel like i know myself i don't need sat across the board to tell me about myself there's like there's questions that like i've i wonder about my future but then if i actually got faced with the fact of like right you can find the answers out now would i
Starting point is 00:30:03 actually want to know probably not because then i'm going to anticipate say if i asked it a question i got the answer i didn't like i'm just going to anticipate that happening now yeah and also say your like dream hadn't come true right you would then go through life not dreaming yeah 100 if you said and i think to have a dream is like one of the most powerful things yeah when if you and if you ask the crystal ball like is my dream gonna come true and it says no then that's just ruined the spark that you've got for that dream there's definitely silly questions i would actually hate to know my future yeah me too
Starting point is 00:30:38 there's definitely silly questions that like i always think to myself i wish i knew this or like am i yeah but like yeah if i actually got a face of being able to know the answer absolutely not there's no way no because one thing i always think to myself is like oh i wonder one day like how i am gonna die and people always have that question don't they like would you rather know when you're gonna die or how you're gonna die the thing is if i knew when i would be fucking terrified if it was soon whereas if but like if i don't know but then if you don't know yeah i'd probably rather know how but then if i knew how like if someone said to me and i was going to die in such a horrible way then i'd be living in fear of that happening because i'd be like oh when is that going to happen
Starting point is 00:31:21 yeah but i think it's still you could think that's at 90 years old. Yeah, it could be. But then if someone said to me something generic, like, oh, you're going to die in a car crash, I'd be terrified of getting in a car. Because I'm like, oh, when am I going to die in a car crash? It would be like a never-ending battle. Yeah. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:31:38 But then also, if you knew the date, if you knew... You can only know one. You'd be terrified that... No, that's what I'm saying. I think I'd rather know how oh god i don't i actually i'd rather but if it said a car crash i don't think i'd ever get a car again yeah that's what i mean it would really put me off i'll be traveling by bus oh yeah babe or by or walking or by leg by foot but I'd be terrified yeah um okay is there something that you've dreamed of doing for a long time and why haven't you done it I mean the things that I dream of doing I'm
Starting point is 00:32:15 trying to do it so yeah you just haven't done it yet I'm trying I just haven't got it yet I think there's always things that you dream of doing that one day yeah that i wonder will do i just haven't done it yet and i think some i don't know a lot of people don't do some things out of fear but i love that quote that's like the best things are on the other side of fear but it's worded a lot better than that i can't remember how it's actually worded and like i'm that sort of person where like i don't want to like look back at my life and regret anything like i'd rather like yeah everything and if it fails at least you tried at least i tried and if even if i was terrified at least i did it because i can look back and be
Starting point is 00:32:52 like oh you know i did it don't know what specifically but yeah there's definitely i feel like i'm the same as you like everything i dream of doing i'm trying to do yeah at least we're putting our effort into trying to do it go us go us girlies um okay but like we're gonna have to be a bit faster on these questions we're not gonna get through them all I'm just gonna have to pick a few like some of these are really deep right some of these is what is your most terrible memory oh my god yeah this is what yeah I don't even want to talk that's what I mean when I saw that that's imagine you sit in and talking to someone that you really like and you're having these deep conversations the first time what is your most horrendous memory and they tell you this awful story like i can actually see how you get really close to somebody really quickly by
Starting point is 00:33:39 answering these questions but these you know the couple that it says that they answered it in four minutes you see that's impossible i'm sorry that is impossible i don't i genuinely don't understand two podcast episodes now and we've got through about 15 yeah there's no way so there's just no we're gonna have to do a third episode to get through all of these but this one's and no one yeah there's no way giving one worded answers like yes or no. Yeah, pretty much. Let's go. Hey you. Yeah, you. Scrolling TikTok and avoiding your chem homework?

Okay, if you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living and why
Starting point is 00:35:27 or would i yes i actually would okay like my biggest dream in life that i'm working towards as much as my biggest dream i could have physically achieve it in a year if i wanted to okay so i probably wouldn't put loads i probably would spend more time spent with family and friends and less working okay yeah that's a nice one if i had a year to live then yeah i would i think if i love working towards my goals that that's my favorite thing in the world but if you only had a year but if I only had a year like yes I would probably spend more time with family and friends see I don't think I don't spend enough now but I just know that I would yeah I think if I only had a year left I would and this is just like a little change but like I would just seize the day more in
Starting point is 00:36:22 such a positive way because sometimes I really, like waking up in the morning and being like, today's going to be an amazing day. And sometimes I just can't be bothered. Like I really, like, it's just, you know, it's just hell like period week.
Starting point is 00:36:34 I'm just, I actually don't want to be here. But then like, I think if I knew I only had a year to live, I would like wake up every day, raid to seize every day. Like giving it like my absolute best and like all and doing everything i've always ever wanted to do i just think fuck it like i've got one year left like
Starting point is 00:36:50 fuck it i wouldn't be scared to do anything i think it would like change like that mindset in me which would but maybe i need to adapt that mindset anyway like i always look at people like that guy i met on the cruise yeah that's something you could do now yeah like the guy that that is something you could do now like that guy that was on the cruise he was speaking to everybody and like sometimes i'd be so scared to go and do that and i just think like why not actually because he has made friends with about 500 people on this cruise and everyone loves him so like why not like it was just like you just you just watch different people like learn different things see when you hear things like that though like if you listen to yourself back it really should make you think and also i should do
Starting point is 00:37:29 that too but like it really should make us think no we should just because we really don't know when you know we really don't know when our life is going to be over yeah we really should make the most of every moment and stay as positive as we possibly can life in fact that's reminded me the best documentary i've ever watched in my life. Which one? Is called The Boy That Lived. And it's about the guy that got paralyzed for being Daniel Radcliffe's
Starting point is 00:37:53 stunt double in Harry Potter. It is... I didn't know that. The best... My mum has watched that documentary three times now. Let me write that in my notes. The Boy Who Lived.
Starting point is 00:38:04 The Boy Who Lived. It is absolutely phenomenal phenomenal and i tell you what that man i mean i've seen great stories about people that you know like bad things have happened to them and they're positive and blah blah blah no no i've never seen a guy like this i had no idea that that even happened to somebody in my life oh my god it's so sad this i don't want to ruin it for anyone i don't want to ruin it for you but yeah he was his stunt double until the last movie and just wait until you see and the worst part is it's not even his fault uh honestly just wait until you watch it and it was when they were filming harry potter this happened when they were filming harry potter yeah and he was the most generous kindest boy you would and still is to this day that i
Starting point is 00:38:47 have probably ever seen in my life and bloody hell like i know a lot of us we watch even i know i watch things it makes me think oh i should be more grateful for certain things there's lots of things that make you feel that way this guy i actually think has changed my mindset for life because i've never seen an attitude like it ever ever ever ever and i even want to see bad things happen to people i'm like how do they do it i don't think i could do that yeah but this this guy he's called david holmes i've just never seen anyone like it oh my god i'm gonna watch i'm gonna watch that tonight i had no idea that happened you have to watch it please i know you'll text me and there's this one point and i are sorry this is the one
Starting point is 00:39:29 thing i will say is believe it or not i actually didn't cry throughout it until so one of his best friends is like his caretaker and it's funny because my mom looked to me and she said that's your jasmine because jasmine literally does and it helps me of everything i thought oh my god it actually is but then they had asked him a question like something along the lines of i can't even remember what it was like do you feel like his caretaker or whatever or something like that and he and he had said his best mate had said he's my best friend i just feel like i'm hanging out with my best friend every day. It was the nicest thing I've ever, like honestly, when I tell you,
Starting point is 00:40:08 my mum has this video of me, I've just bawled my eyes out. It was the nicest thing I've ever heard anyone ever say about someone. Just please, wait until you, I'm going to watch it tonight.
Starting point is 00:40:20 It's just the nicest, the nicest thing. And you're not crying because it's sad, you're just crying because they're just genuinely such incredible everyone around him just such incredible people oh my god wait until you watch i'm actually really excited to watch this tonight when i get back that's what i'm gonna watch please do please please do and actually he has a podcast as well
Starting point is 00:40:39 he now has a podcast um he has instagram and stuff that you can follow him yeah he's just oh my god yeah that's actually a nice note to end it on we're round of staff recommending that documentary i'm gonna watch that documentary tonight i'm really excited to watch it and it looks like it's gonna have like a very like please everyone watch it and when you watch it tag me tag him he's so amazing he's so inspiring i can't even begin to explain so okay well i'm very excited to watch that and then we can answer all the rest of the questions in another episode because we just how somebody did this in four minutes but we've still got about 10 15 so it's like i have no idea how someone did this in four minutes actually impossible but thank you all so much
