Starting point is 00:00:00 let's go hi guys and welcome back to another episode of sex lies and dm size with me saffron barker and me anastasia kingsnorth so we are back for another week and back for another opportunity to deep dive into all things sex and relationships but today we've got an exciting episode guys it is the Coachella debrief the Coachella debrief and also I've been away for a long time so I feel like we just have we have a lot to catch up with you know well yeah because originally when we were recording the podcast you weren't even coming to Coachella I know and it was it was all very last my life changed very quickly yeah it was all very last minute and I thought do you know what the one thing I want to do is go to Coachella with one of my best friends
Starting point is 00:00:50 so that's what I've done it and now we've got the debrief now we've done it and here we are I would just like to address the fact that I um currently I'm holding my mic which isn't looking the cutest because obviously I do lose everything I touch however I don't want to say was it my fault because it probably is still my fault but um yeah well it is my fault tied in my house a long story short is that I've lost the impact mic stand there's actually no other excuses um so here I am holding the mic I'm gonna have to order I quite like it you holding it I feel like it just feels i don't know yeah if i can hold it still though because otherwise i'm gonna annoy everyone so i'm gonna try and stay in the same position also i feel like i don't need to be any louder than i
Starting point is 00:01:33 already am and i feel like i'm getting closer and closer to my mouth right oh yeah just you bring it forward oh yeah where do you even start with this whole coachella debrief because do we just start from the very beginning so obviously i flew out to la i have only been out there for like a week but saf was actually out there for like two and a half weeks before me i realized it was actually in two weeks i actually wasn't even away for as long as i thought i was but i think just a lot went on i felt like i was away for such a long time it a long time time difference it's like so even though it's only eight hours like we were saying it feels like we miss a whole of a day in the UK when we wake up in America like everyone's already lived their day yeah and I know I'm somebody that like preaches long distance relationships can work and everything
Starting point is 00:02:19 else however I feel like there's huge difference between five hours and eight hours like eight hours is actually crazy by 1 p.m every single person you know is like in bed it's so strange so yeah I think you're right I think that's why it felt like I was gone for such a long time because I almost like didn't even really have much contact with like anyone from home I know yeah because we literally on the last day before we flew home we were at Coachella all we did was reply to people's messages because we just hadn't really done it we were just kind of getting like a little LA bubble but I was reading our podcast TikTok comments and obviously I met up with my ex on the um on this like cut down and I was just reading the comments reading people's opinions
Starting point is 00:03:01 and then the top comment was oh Saf's also done the same and i thought no she hasn't what are they on about and then i look i look on the like i open the comments and people are like oh yeah she met up with tyler last night and i'm thinking huh i was like hang on a minute like we're always in a different time zone so i was like i'm so confused and then obviously i saw that you had and then I thought you know what I'm gonna ask about it when I get there I'll just say where have you been this thing no it's so funny because I woke like you said the time difference I woke up and my phone was blowing up like I was genuinely baffled so I had told nobody that I was meeting up with Tyler for no reason other than one I didn't need to yeah apparently I did because my phone blew up but the reason I never told anybody is because it was such a last minute like thing and okay it's funny because yeah so basically when I woke up obviously we're
Starting point is 00:04:00 in such a different time zone so when I went to go meet Tyler everyone I knew was asleep like every single person I knew was asleep. Like every single person I knew was in bed. So I'm not going to text anyone like, oh, how about, like I'm not even going to text my best friend and be like, oh, I'm actually going to go meet Tyler. Like there was just,
Starting point is 00:04:13 also it really wasn't that deep. Like people made out like this huge story. And it's funny because there was always this, I mean, I hear rumors about myself every single day. Like genuinely, I opened TikTok. There's a new rumor. I opened TikTok, by the way, five minutes before this podcast. Apparently I hooked up with Tiger.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Don't know where it's come from. I've never even met Tiger. Yeah, apparently we're a thing. So every time I open my TikTok, there's a new rumor about myself. And for some reason, there was always this rumor that I had cheated on Tyler, which I don't know where it's come from because I've never cheated on anyone in my life nor would I like that's just not part of my morals at all and like at this point I don't even respond like even though it's so frustrating I don't even respond because I'm just like people make up things about me every
Starting point is 00:05:02 day I just have to just get on with my life sort of thing, even though it's really shit. And so when I met up with Tyler, all of a sudden it was, oh my God, maybe she didn't cheat on him. Maybe she didn't. I thought, no, I never cheated on him. Like obviously I didn't fucking cheat on him.
Starting point is 00:05:18 But yeah, when I met up with him, it was such like a low key, like basically long story short, I never fell out with him like nothing bad happened at all like literally we just split for like no really reason like there was just I don't know like I just felt like I was at a different stage in my life and so did he and like that was genuinely the reason as to why we split there was nothing deeper than that and I actually saw him a year ago um I was actually at Anna's I was going to Anna's house then on the way I went and saw him um because he lives right by Anna and like we caught up and it was really nice and then he
Starting point is 00:05:56 just happened to be in LA at the same time that I was in LA so he messaged me like I'm literally around the corner and we went to the grocery store and got era one together anyways everyone suddenly thinks I'm secretly on this trip Tyler the entire time and we're back together so I just like to confirm not true um but like I literally love him he is one of the nicest people I've ever ever met like genuinely has the biggest heart like every single person that's met him says how amazing he is and so yeah i was literally just catching up with him people just love to make vicious rumors and i don't understand why to be fair i was actually shocked though the amount of people that want us back together oh i genuinely gobsmacked the comments like crazy like genuine i mean to be fair like he's definitely the nicest boyfriend i've ever had for sure one million percent yeah like everyone loved tyler like he genuinely is so nice and it's so nice to like
Starting point is 00:06:49 he's doing so well in life it was so nice to see him happy so and it's nice that you've still got that relationship where like you can still see each other and go for food and it'd be fine yeah like that's how you always want a relationship to end right but like a lot of the time it doesn't really happen like that. There's literally like no more to it. We went to a grocery store. Well, that clears that up. And we sat outside and we ate food.
Starting point is 00:07:11 And that was that. No more vicious rumors now. No, but the thing is I didn't follow him. So I posted my food at Erewhon, sat outside. And then obviously people that follow him, he'd posted it too. But I didn't know that he'd posted it because I don't follow people put two and two together yeah so that's how that happened detectives people that honestly people are crazy people do not miss a thing no i don't know where this tiger things come from because definitely people are putting two and two together that is
Starting point is 00:07:39 so random oh well oh and also can i just say the amount of people that was like oh this is me just going off on one now look at saffron judging anna for meeting her ex and now she's meeting her ex and i thought at what point did i ever judge you for meeting your ex you're the you were actually the only person that i told but first that i was meeting like i knew you wouldn't yeah crazy actually anyways people run with these stories we just got your own well i'm seeing him again tonight everyone so you can all run with that you're not i am going for a drink with him tonight yes everyone can run i think i think he has to i just sorry you're probably gonna hate me today this is a podcast we have to cut it out but i just think that you're each other's person well maybe i don't know we're just going for a drink

Let's go like spill some of the tea on what happened before i arrived so what did you get up to when you were in la to be honest i did less partying than i thought well i'd never right so my intention of going to la was actually for like a lot of work stuff i wanted to like really push myself go outside my comfort zone and so there's just like a lot of things stuff I wanted to like really push myself go outside my comfort zone and so there's just like a lot of things that I've been working on um so to be honest I actually spent
Starting point is 00:09:51 most of my time in LA like even going to like dance classes and stuff that's so outside my comfort zone when I tell you myself like two months ago never would have done that but like after just going through a lot recently I think I just had the attitude of like, do you know what? I genuinely don't even care what people think of me anymore. I'm going to do what I love. Fuck it. I'm going to go do it.
Starting point is 00:10:13 And so that's what a lot of it consisted of. However, did still have a few nights where I went out and about. One night, right? So we basically stayed in this hotel called The One Hotel, which is my favorite hotel like in the world it's absolutely stunning and next to it there's a bar called harriet's well it's like a rooftop bar that everyone goes to however imogen and i right we hadn't dressed
Starting point is 00:10:35 up for the occasion we didn't realize there was a birthday party on so we go upstairs like we've been on a hike all day like we're not looking cute and we go upstairs and we realize there's this huge party so we go up and we're like oh we're going to this even though i don't know if you need an invite but we're gonna get changed and we've got to come back up so we went down we got changed we went back up it was absolutely packed it was so cool um thought i had met the love of my life by the way as i was leaving so context started speaking to all of these guys and we had then agreed to go to an afters with them okay and this afters i didn't know was actually janet jackson's party which is just so weird that's la all over though
Starting point is 00:11:21 like you know but this is a thing like it literally is la all over like you never know where you're gonna end up you just end up but it makes sense when you're in la you're like oh yeah i'm in janet jackson's house fine like it's so weird no it literally is but this guy i didn't think was the love of my life by the way this guy i then realized actually i think he's quite creepy and he's like really like quite a lot like a lot sort of thing like that was just a no not him is this the one who then saw you outside when we went to dinner oh this one okay oh no yeah that's that was the creepy guy oh yeah this was a creepy one okay yeah yeah so this guy and then ended up when anna then got to la and then he then ended up texting me like I can see you and I thought oh my god Anna and I get inside the hotel because he knew what hotel I was at
Starting point is 00:12:08 anyways so that was pretty cool that we went to Janet Jackson's party it was such a vibe it was so cool and it was also just in the most like random area ever like you never expected to be in her house or was it in like a no it was in hollywood oh so random wow that's so fun though so random it was a really fun night but basically as i was leaving with with these guys to go to this after party because they were like super friendly they were really really nice like they wasn't hitting on at least he definitely wasn't hitting on me at this point um and obviously Imogen's with my brother so they definitely weren't hitting on Imogen so at this point he wasn't hitting on me at this point I didn't think it was weird I just thought oh they're really nice people would just go to the afters but as I was leaving I saw this guy and I literally thought oh my god he's insane like he was genuinely so beautiful like he looked like the only way i can
Starting point is 00:13:08 explain it is like central c heightened like taller bigger a tan just gorgeous sex like sexy um and like had really cool clothing like it was all like over so he just looked honestly like if he walked in the room everyone's eyes would look at him right and so he kept staring at me but i'd already agreed to go with these guys so i thought that's it i'm never seeing him again didn't even tell imogen because i was like literally never gonna see this guy again and then the next day i'm in the lobby and just come back from another hike but this day I'm looking she's hiking she's getting the walks in and the steps in she really was uh I had to make up for all of the junk food that I just ate the entire trip but um anyways I see this guy and like Imogen has never
Starting point is 00:14:01 ever pointed out a guy and been like oh my god Saf because she's with my brother like it's a bit weird like she would just never do that but she was like oh my god you need to get with this guy and I've turned around and obviously it's him and I'm like oh my god I was meant to tell you about this guy like he's so beautiful wasn't he and she was like you have to go over you have to go over I was like I can't go over I can't go over start walking to our room i look back he looks back i thought that's awkward look back again you know new clock eyes at three times i've gone upstairs and everyone's like if you don't go down there i'm going down there for you like you have to go speak to him like he's gorgeous right and i'm like i can't like i don't feel confident because i don't look nice right now okay again
Starting point is 00:14:43 imogen was like you've lost your shot that's on you don't you say you don't you want to be love your life because you've just lost your shot right again thought i was never gonna see this guy next day see him again next day i'm coming out of my hotel room and this time oh i need to explain this as well because this is actually kicked off on tiktok this time i'm going to meet my ex-boyfriend oh as in not lewis as in tyler my boyfriend that i was with for two and a half years and as i walk out of the lift i see this gorgeous boy but also meeting my i'm not meeting my ex-boyfriend like that by the way literally as friends but i thought well i definitely can't talk to him now so i I thought I can't speak to him again. And long story short, I, then Anna came to LA and said to all the White Fox girls,
Starting point is 00:15:32 and I was telling the girls, I was like, I think I've seen this guy in the hotel and he might be the love of my life. Like he's absolutely gorgeous. And I started, all I had to say was, he looks a bit like Central City. And all the girls sat opposite us they gasped they knew who he was right apparently long story short is they knew
Starting point is 00:15:53 somebody that had got with him in the lobby the night that i first saw him at that party so they arrived at the party after when i had left the party this is on day one i'm hoping this makes sense and they got with him and apparently he has the biggest ego like he's like he was so young like he was also 21 i think but like you wouldn't have guessed it because he was giving he was like six four so you just never would have guessed it you know they then showed me his Instagram because they had it and I can back it up. He is Central Sea's spit. Like, it's weird how much he looks like him. And he was also British. Yeah, and this was it.
Starting point is 00:16:34 He was British, which is actually wild. Which, I mean, looking at his pictures, he looks very American. But yeah, absolutely gorgeous boy. And they were saying he was very icky. So I feel like I maybe got a lucky escape that I didn't try and talk to him. Yes, you definitely did. But yeah, that happened. Thought I was somehow going to speak to this guy and he was going to be the one I really thought he was going to be American.
Starting point is 00:16:56 And then it turns out he's British. Apparently he's quite icky. He'd already got one of the girls in the lobby. It was just not it. It was a big no. Yeah, that was a big fat no um other than that like I went out one other time and that was like kind of it for LA to be fair like I didn't actually go out too much because of the fact that I was there kind of like to work
Starting point is 00:17:18 I mean I still feel like saying that you've been to Janet Jackson's party is pretty much amazing to make up for a full trip to be honest yeah that was quite cool that was that was yeah cool do you know why i don't like i genuinely don't think that anyone would make me feel starstruck like because i just i think from all the people that i've met over time i've realized everyone is so normal do you still feel like that about dwayne johnson i know this is the only person okay you're picking at the only I know only I've always said the only person I think maybe is Dwayne Johnson but like I still wouldn't like he if I could meet anyone I'd meet him because I think he's like the coolest person ever but I just yeah I just don't think there's anyone I'd feel starstruck
Starting point is 00:17:58 but but it's funny because the person who was so starstruck was my mom over because she was oh she was obsessed with the Jackson oh yeah yeah jackson five was who she grew up with and she was just genuinely obsessed with oh if i told my mom that that you went to jackson five she would literally be gobsmacked yeah my mom did not think we're being serious yeah which is literally so um who would you be starstruck by do you think there's anyone you'd be starstruck by i don't think i'd necessarily be like starstruck but i'd be like oh that's really cool if like drake was in the room but i think i love drake like he will forever be like my number one like but i don't think i wouldn't go and ask him for a photo or anything i'd just be like oh that's really fucking cool the drake's over there like even when i saw like the kardashians i wouldn't
Starting point is 00:18:41 say i was starstruck i was just like wow they're beautiful yeah I got you that I think that's the way that I feel as well I'm like oh it's really cool like they're so talented or they're so beautiful but I just I think just over time like you realize when you meet people that everyone is literally so everyone's person like yeah but yeah Drake would get me a little bit excited and also I feel like you know when they say like don't ever meet your idols yeah I think that's also another reason like i would never get starstruck because normally it's the people that you think that are going to be so kind and so nice they're just the opposite this is so random by the way but have you seen adam santler on tiktok he's just walking around london and like random people he's at every basketball court i've ever seen in what in the
Starting point is 00:19:22 uk yeah in a different location in the park yeah yeah i saw him yeah around the park playing with people and i was like actually i think that would do you think that him i think he must be shooting a movie and he has to be a i reckon he does method acting and so i think he has to be a basketball player for the new movie that he's shooting and it's a uk basketball player and i or like he has to live in yeah i think so and so he's basically training to become one really good and two to like get the lingo of like all of the british guys genuinely i'm saying it here i think that's why because he is everywhere like it's just mental like if i was walking through the park and i saw adam santler i would generally think that can't be
Starting point is 00:20:02 him i mean there's no way yeah well I think everyone thought that at first he thought it was a lookalike right but then obviously it's not he's just living his best life playing basketball in the UK no but I think it's for a movie a hundred percent he's training for a movie well you've said it here first let's see within the next year if a film comes out where he's basketball player yeah but back to Coachella now let's go back to LA then I arrived we had like two days in LA before we headed to Palm Springs it goes the journey to Palm Springs was eight hours I do not understand how it took eight hours. Like the longest journey ever. I was going crazy on the bus by the time we got to CVS.
Starting point is 00:20:51 You were. All you wanted was that In-N-Out and you couldn't get the In-N-Out. Oh my God. All I wanted, I got it at the end of the trip, right? But all I wanted was an In-N-Out. Like it's my favorite food ever. And obviously you can only get it in California. And we were promised that we'd stop on the way and we'd just drive past every single one and I was like oh my god this
Starting point is 00:21:08 is so sad yeah it was do you know what though it's actually quite nice because I feel like we got to catch like it was a good thing that Anna and I hadn't seen each other in so long because I felt like we had so much to catch each other up with yeah we did it was a very very very long catch-up on that al bus ride yeah but yeah then we got to coachella and honestly had the most unbelievable trip ever like it was genuinely insane i love coachella i feel like it's just like i've done it that was my third time was it your fifth time that you've done it i think so yeah so your fifth my third and i feel like every time it just still feels like how am i actually at Coachella, like in Palm Springs? Like Palm Springs is one of the most beautiful places
Starting point is 00:21:47 I've ever visited. It's just palm trees and hills or mountains. That is literally all it is. And I love it. Yeah. It's just so different to a UK festival in so many ways. I mean, I feel, do you know what's funny? I've actually been asked by so many news channels
Starting point is 00:22:05 to give my opinion on Coachella whilst I was out there because everyone was like slagging Coachella off I feel like now it actually has a really bad name for itself which I find crazy I don't really actually know um but like personally I genuinely love Coachella I don't know if I love Coachella though because also I get to hang out with loads of my friends I haven't seen in ages but also when we go to a festival in the UK right when it's hot you have a way better time and that's the thing of Coachella it's like sometimes the acts aren't even better than they are the UK festivals however first of all the views are stunning second of all it's boiling hot even though in the evening it's not in the evening it is freezing
Starting point is 00:22:45 it gets so cold you get such a sore throat because it's in a desert right so like your throat is so sore by the end of it but you know the biggest difference i think between coachella and any other like uk festival that i've been to is it is so chilled in the sense you will never see a mosh pit at coachella but that doesn't exist no someone did ask someone to do a mosh pit though and i thought what on earth when we were in the what yeah it was when we were in the rave 10 the hangar thing they were like open it up open it up and i thought what no yeah i thought why they see I never would have thought that because like that to me is such a UK thing like every year I've been to Coachella I've always thought to myself like oh my god everyone is so I think that is still the biggest difference okay somebody might have
Starting point is 00:23:36 asked that and I didn't know that but like I don't know I think you'd just be surprised with just how laid back everyone is at Coachella like it's just so much more chill which personally I way prefer I don't feel like I'm gonna get like trampled on like one time Anna and I we was at a festival in the UK and we got pulled over the barriers because we were like the smallest girls there was mosh pits everywhere it was just awful and we were at a tiny stage when that happened as well so imagine if we were at the massive like main stage guys I don't know why we went to see little pump we had this like weird thing with little pump when we were younger we had this weird obsession i don't understand where it came from they came out of nowhere literally nowhere and like i don't even yeah it was so
Starting point is 00:24:16 imagine me and anna singing gucci gang it was not we bought tickets to see him on tour and then we got the date wrong like we loved him that much it was just it was such a weird phase that we went through but yeah we got literally dragged out over the crowd because of how like rowdy it is but yeah la the crowd is so like chill like we you can kind of just like walk through the crowd to get to the front yeah like if you wanted to get to the front it would not be hard but apart from the room are you about to say the boy yeah oh my god guys i've never experienced anything like this in my life so we were at bb rexer and first of all we didn't know she was performing she was so excited we were like oh my god sass spotted her on screen and was like oh my god it's bb rexer and there wasn't like loads of people in the crowd when we first got
Starting point is 00:24:59 there so we just walked through and nobody had a problem with it at all like no pushing no nothing everyone was really polite so we get to the spot that we're at bearing in mind we're not even still that close to the stage like we didn't really walk that much and we turned off staff said should we get someone take a picture of us i said yeah so staff asked the guy behind us oh excuse me like would you be able to take a picture of us because we haven't got one picture together the whole trip no not one like we need we need to get a picture yeah so like we need to get a picture of us because we haven't got one picture together the whole trip no not one like we need we need to get a picture yeah so we need to get a picture in the crowd we'll ask him to take it so i didn't tell i thought he was joking when i heard him say this because i wasn't looking at his face so i thought oh he's just having a laugh with her he literally turned
Starting point is 00:25:37 to her and went no i don't want to i was like okay and i thought is he joking i was like i can't tell i couldn't tell by the tone he was so rude he was dead serious he was dead serious and he went and you're standing in front of me i thought uh-huh but the thing is also there was so much space around us it's not like we were like tightly cramped when we pushed in front of this guy there was so much and this guy was really it made no sense and we're five we're five two and five three we ain't making no difference to what he could see on stage i reckon though he would have been the only person in the crowd that would have said that and then immediately when a narcissist girl next to me and she was like oh my god of course yeah and she took so many lovely pictures that's why we got the cute little blurry like yeah and she was so oh my god let's go next first she was 4 11 and she had brought a bucket to stand on i think that's
Starting point is 00:26:30 such in the crowd i thought it's the smartest thing i've ever seen i thought that's what i need to start doing i'm not saying anything she let's have a girl standing on the bucket she kept going stand on the bucket try it she looked at me she was like try it try it i think she thought this girl's also very short we could see everything and it was the best yeah see if i was a little bit taller and i can enjoy a concert like that it would make such a difference to me yeah she could see everything but there was a few girls with it you know did you see other people because i saw other people i don't it wasn't actually like a bucket it was like a mix between a bucket and a stool it almost looked like a paint pot like
Starting point is 00:27:05 bucket yeah handle like that sort of but i think it is literally made for that because i saw like three other people have them i think it's such a smart idea and such honestly if i didn't have to carry around it like me with me all day i probably would invest in one it's just annoying yeah yeah honestly i stood on it and i was like oh my god I can see everything this is amazing but she was so lovely we got the picture in the end we did get the picture in the end and the guy left he just walked off I was thinking yeah I wish somebody could experience how rude that guy was it was just so bizarre actually wild anyways do you know another thing that Anna said to me at the festival she was like don't you think like i
Starting point is 00:27:45 just wish british guys would dress like this and that was one thing i wanted to talk to you about because i have like a real opinion on how americans dress but you love it right i love the boys how they dress i mean the girls look amazing as well but like i love baggy clothes on a guy like super oversized t-shirts jeans like really cool hats like and everything all like shirt i don't know they just all looked so fucking gorgeous i was like how it like a uk festival you're not getting that uk festival everyone's wearing under armor and alidash shorts and man bags yeah like that and that's not my type but all these american guys they're walking past and i was like this is unbelievable this is what
Starting point is 00:28:25 heaven feels like yeah i was just gossiping however i do feel like that is the guys at coachella i don't feel like that's american guys i don't really know what american guys dress like so like i've been to like a few other states and I'm telling you now they aren't dressing like that. I agree with you. Guys at Coachella, the clothes, like the layering, the oversized clothes. Maybe it's also because they're getting dressed up just the same as we are, I guess. Like we were dressed up. Yeah. And I think also as well, a lot of them are from LA and I feel like LA fashion sense is like ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:29:04 But if you go to florida oh don't want to offend anyone i don't think the guys aren't dressing like that i can absolutely assure you i'd rather how a british guy dresses all the guys that like i can picture in my head who are dressing in america would be from new york and la i think new york fashion yeah fucking cool as well i think it's a different style to LA because obviously the weather's a bit different but like the whole vibe of just looking so chill but almost so put together I just love and yeah maybe you're right maybe it's just all the guys at Coachella but then if I could choose any of those guys I would have been like yeah we saw the most gorgeous guy with a bucket hat that was like exactly Sass type and it was like a crochet bucket hat which like normally i'd be
Starting point is 00:29:46 like oh i'm not too sure but he was insane no no he was he was he was as good as the chef oh we've not talked about the chef guys i filmed the chef my tiktok you know i've been here myself and i watched it on tiktok that you left i had to film it because i don't think words could explain how sexy this man was he right so the bucket hat guy was giving like ovi he was gorgeous our chef was giving and see joshua i think yeah he kind of looked like him to be fair but he was absolutely good yes i saw this bug out boy never spoke to him again in my life he's just he would just exist to me and anna as bucket it up boy but our chef in our hotel so we're sidetracking from coachella he deserves the sidetrack he was like me and anna were like because first of all his food was
Starting point is 00:30:37 ridiculous like he can the best food i've ever had in my life he can cook and anna was going i don't know which one i'd rather taste his food honestly but the funny thing is right so we got there so late obviously we just got off this eight hour bus and we walked straight in and he was in the kitchen cooking but I didn't see him so I walk over to the cupboard which is where all the snacks were and Saf or someone was like oh I fancy the chef and I went oh you fancy the chef. And I went, oh, you fancy the chef? You said it to me, Anna. Oh, I said it to you. Really loud.
Starting point is 00:31:08 And then they looked at me and they're like, he's right there. And I thought, oh, fuck it. And I turned around. No, it's because I was talking to one of the white box girls. So you kind of said it to both of us. Yeah, and I turned around and he was right there. But luckily he had his AirPods in. He always had his AirPods in when he was cooking.
Starting point is 00:31:20 So I don't think he heard. I think this is what made him even more attractive. It's like he was like so passionate about his but he's so unbothered get his airports in so unbothered like oh he was he was in the zone genuinely ridiculous but then on the last day when he came back to cook us dinner me and saff were coming back in from taking pictures and he said hello to again i looked horrendous i thought this could be worse time we look times we look though we we tanned on the last day we gave tan we gave tan we didn't give much else we gave tan and yeah he said he was like hi girls you okay and for like the first split second i didn't know
Starting point is 00:31:54 who it was and i was in a high and then i clicked i was like it's the fucking chef he's back he's back he's back but yeah if you want to put a face of this guy honestly go and check out my tiktok because i i just had i had to get him in my tiktok because i thought like you just i feel like just putting a face of somebody is just so much easier isn't it it is and it's funny because anna and i have such different types and like immediately anna was like that's your type and then his friend came in on the last day and it could be more Anna's type. And I thought there could be our future husbands right there. Both of them, both chefs.
Starting point is 00:32:29 The guy that was my type was, I think he was a little bit younger. He gave me maybe like 21, 22 vibes, but he had like really nice, like squishy hair. And I think he was just so polite. Like he was so polite every time he'd come out and take the plate away. And I was just like, oh, like he's so cute.
Starting point is 00:32:46 So yeah. Basically at one point we were like, do we need to go back out to coach yellow should we just stay in with the chef we played again we guessed their names right and we don't know we don't actually know if we got them right or not that we never got told no i know i really want to find their names out we thought their names were they had a um a woman who was there helping as well like do the plates and stuff so we thought their names were tyler isaac and kimberly yeah but we're never gonna know but we could be totally incorrect oh what was the other name we said instead of tyler what are the names as well i can't remember now i don't know but you said something and i was like oh it could be that you know kimberly made so much sense for the girl like it like if her name was anything else it
Starting point is 00:33:23 doesn't make sense in my head now. Yeah. I wonder if people look at us though and think our names. The thing is, our names aren't really like that common. So I don't really think people guess our names. But you know when you look at someone, you think they just have like that face to that name.
Starting point is 00:33:36 And it's funny actually, because one of the girls, Jessie on the trip, me and Anna were saying to each other, if I didn't know her name, you'd just guess it's Jessie. She looks like a little cowgirl. She just looks like a little cowgirl. She just looks like a little cowgirl.
Starting point is 00:33:46 She is a Jessie. She's the cutest. Yeah, she just was made to be called Jessie. Yeah, and I love that for her. But like, I think the chef, I think was made to be a Tyler and the other one an Isaac and the other one a Kimberly.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Yeah. It was just weird. Guys, it was just so weird. We'll find out the names at some point. I did actually ask, but nobody actually ever ended up telling me their names. So, lovely. I should have just just gone and asked them but i didn't want to distract him when he was doing his cooking when someone's got their airpods and he's like in the zone it's almost like
Starting point is 00:34:12 you kind of get you kind of get the yeah i don't want you to make you take your airpod out like i don't know he was just he was loving his life i mean we left him in his little bubble but he was gorgeous yeah absolutely gorgeous anyways we've totally just sidetracked from coachella sorry about that guys that was just important we had to say that let's go Prime Big Deal Days is coming October 8th and 9th with exclusive savings just for Prime members involuntary deal squeals can happen like the deal on new running shoes squeal. The deal on a new blender squeal.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Or the infamous deal on a new massager squeal. Save big on electronics, fashion, and more this Prime Big Deal Days, October 8th and 9th. As the world's population grows, so does the need for resources like potash to support sustainable food production. This is why BHP is building one of the world's most sustainable potash mines in Canada. Essential resources responsibly produced. This is what BHP has committed to Canada. The future is clear.
Starting point is 00:35:25 It's happening now at BHP, a future resources company. To discover how, visit bhp.com slash better future. Let's go. Okay, I guess like, so one of the topics that we really wanted to talk about was differences between British dating and American dating and I'm somebody that's actually experienced both so I thought I was actually quite a good person to give my two cents on this because I have a very strong opinion like I feel like it's very different but also I guess this is like stereotypical right because there's a lot of guys that aren't like this but I feel like it's very different but also I guess this is like stereotypical right because there's a lot of guys
Starting point is 00:36:05 that aren't like this but I feel like it's hugely different I think there's like I've never dated an American guy but like from being in LA a couple of times and at Coachella the main thing that like I would say is their sense of humor is so different yeah I think that's probably just as a whole though I don't know if that's just dating no but i think it's hard like for me like i know it's obviously different for everybody but like my humor is very like dark humor and like i would rather take the piss out of somebody than them be really really nice to me like that is just how i get along with somebody and i feel like if i was to say that to someone like an American guy he'd think I'd be rude yeah you
Starting point is 00:36:46 definitely and that's like where we'd clash I think because that just wouldn't work like do I mean I wouldn't want to tread on eggshells and be like oh I can't say this because with a British guy we could say that and they'd banter me back and I like that yeah yeah yeah no I definitely agree I feel I think it's the sarcasm I feel like I've said this before I don't think it's I think it's like American and British humor as a whole it's just very different it's the sarcasm I feel like I've said this before I don't think it's I think it's like American and British humor as a whole it's just very different it's funny actually because we met this couple who was on Too Hot to Handle and they were so nice and obviously because they met from the show they're from different sides of the world and the girl's American and the guy isn't
Starting point is 00:37:18 and she was saying like at first she just didn't get his sense of humor like she just thought he was being rude but now she gets it she's like it's so funny but obviously even from her point of view like she's a girl and she was like I didn't get it like I genuinely thought like why is he being so rude she'd be like when he'd say to me like oh you're such a twat or something like she would take offense to it at first which like if like if someone said that to me in a jokey way I'd just be like I'll piss off and then we'd be like yeah sure i mean yeah also another thing that i was gonna say that i think is like majorly difference is the confidence levels but like i'm all about confidence but american guys if if they're good looking you've never seen you've actually never witnessed
Starting point is 00:38:02 anything like it you know like it isn't baffling we've got no shame different like situations so first of all this one was just odd right staff and i were walking out with vip with our drinks and we get a tap on the shoulder and of well someone was running after all people it could have been like i would never have put this on my 2024 bingo card, but it was Austin McBroom. And he did it on the shoulder. And he was just like, cheers girls. And I looked just up and down.
Starting point is 00:38:31 It was a really weird look. And like, obviously if you've been on social media, you know that you're kind of losing it a little bit. Or like, I don't know, like he's parking up outside, like his ex's house and like singing to her and doing all like bungee jumps.
Starting point is 00:38:41 I don't know. I feel so sorry for her. I think she seems so sweet. And he's doing some some weird shit and that was just the last thing i expected to be tapped on the shoulder by austin mcbroom so like and then there was these two other tiktok guys which safford actually met one of them before so then that's how we got talking to them and then i'd seen them both on tikt TikTok because without saying where they're from because I think I don't want to make it too obvious but like they're very like thirst trap uh famous boys like you just see them because they're like gorgeous looking and they do like
Starting point is 00:39:14 random little dances to random songs yeah and I always wondered like if their TikToks were real like if they were exactly like they were in their tiktok because i tell you these boys move like they move like they don't stop moving like their arms are if you're watching this on the video like it's literally like because it's like constant i've met like certain guys that do things for tiktok in the uk and they're like oh it's so cringe but like i know it will get views but these guys don't think it's no that's like these guys do this in real life like i don't know like you know when they're like lit by and like got their hand all over their face and like their body and stuff and they're like making moves you think it's for a tiktok it's not they're like that self-obsessed they do it in real life it is wild to watch because like i knew these guys and they are really nice people but adam
Starting point is 00:40:07 couldn't get away faster she was like i am actually like i need to get out of here this is too much like they were so lovely they don't get me on they were lovely boys but like right so at coachella right vip is the other end to this stage where we were going to if saf and i took a leisurely walk over there we probably would have been there in maybe like 10 minutes 10 15 minutes taking a slow walk we had to run and skip and hop with these boys we were there in about five minutes like we walked that fast because they're dancing but also by the way they were just like drag girls on the way oh yeah like the confidence but it's not confidence so is it it's more like arrogance it's kind of it was i mean the attention that they get is probably like actually through the roof um yeah yeah loads of people literally as we were putting on they pull girls in and we don't know who we were in
Starting point is 00:40:53 the crowd with i don't know i don't know anybody was i don't know what was going on but we it was just so that and then like on top of the whole like movement it it was chela, chela, chela. All the time. All the whole time. Like if I forgot where I was, I was getting reminded every 30 seconds because every 30 seconds it was, we're at chela, baby. And I said to one of them,
Starting point is 00:41:17 I was like, is it your first time here? And he was like, yeah, it is. And I was like, yeah, I can tell. The thing is, is you just can't expect expect like i remember this one time i was having a conversation with him and he starts talking to somebody else and i thought actually but because they were so like they well they must have been on something they must have been because like i've never seen guys with so much energy like and i said to him there was no point in the conversation now could you just gone and spoken to someone what did i even say no because like yeah he'd be speaking to you but
Starting point is 00:41:48 then like you just turn made conversation talk to somebody else and then come back but it's like yeah they were just like uh you i mean guys again this doesn't cover all american guys but when they're confident they're confident but it, it's an ego thing. I think it's because a lot of the guys in America are just so gorgeous. Like in LA anyways, in LA around Coachella, they're just so gorgeous that I think it's, they do just get any attention that they want pretty much. I mean, it's late for them. They're fucking hot.
Starting point is 00:42:21 Do you know what I mean? Like go off. Go off boys because you are gorgeous. If you can, why not? If you can't, but like the whole. The thirst traps in real life are working for them they're fucking hot do you know what i mean like go off yeah boys because you are gorgeous if you can why yeah if you can't but like the whole the thirst traps in real life are working for them honestly i can't even expect because it just makes you laugh so much because they would always come up on my for you page and i'd always just think like is it for the tiktok like how do they start the tiktok no it is just them but they've got energy for days oh my god and he said to me it was on the first day the first day, I did 35,000 steps.
Starting point is 00:42:46 I literally walked off and said to Saff, I went, I can see how he did that. Yeah. So obvious. That's a marathon, by the way, guys.
Starting point is 00:42:52 I did that on a marathon. Yeah, he said that to me. He went, I did a marathon on the Friday. I'm thinking, yeah, you fucking did. Go on. Like, yeah, you did.
Starting point is 00:42:59 But bear in mind, when they're skipping, jumping around, they're doing like, I'm doing this at the same time. They're doing this at the same time. Like they're literally doing what they do on tiktok like it is like if you drag the tiktok video from the phone screen and popped it in real life it's right there and then like it was
Starting point is 00:43:16 the like the weirdest thing i've ever witnessed in my life but anyways whatever good for them for them it was an experience that i'm glad we had yeah anyways my point was I feel like American guys this isn't all American guys by the way this is just like stereotypically but like I just think because we have different humor I think things and I actually think America as a whole things that we find cringy in the uk is a lot of things they don't find it cringy i think that's the biggest difference i think to be honest like with and again this isn't like everyone because everyone's going to be different but just from the people that i met they just don't really care which is a good thing yeah like they have like we care way too much we care way too much when people think yeah i'm sometimes too scared to go up to people but like they wouldn't be they just do it and that's probably how they
Starting point is 00:44:04 know every fucking person at coachella because they'll just go and speak to people whereas like english people well for me personally i would find it a little bit harder to do that so i think like good for them but yeah their confidence levels are like crazy from the people that we met yeah like we're definitely a lot more reserved yes i think i think that's the biggest thing like even just being in la the amount of people that have said to me like i went to the uk but like everyone was rude because they didn't talk and i said but did I think that's the biggest thing. Like even just being in LA, the amount of people that have said to me like, I went to the UK, but like everyone was rude because they didn't talk.
Starting point is 00:44:29 And I was like, but did you try and talk to them? They were like, no, but like nobody came up and spoke to me. But nobody would. And I'd say like, once you get to know somebody, someone that's British, they're actually really nice. But yeah, I think we just are a lot more reserved. I think that's like the biggest thing.
Starting point is 00:44:43 If they came to Manchester, I can imagine people probably speaking to them then because i feel like up north like i've recently discovered like compared to when i'm in london no one will speak to me but if i'm out on a night out in manchester i will meet so many people just because people will speak like to anybody yeah i think it also depends on what area of the uk they probably visited but in london if you get on that tube no one is smiling at you yeah I and I think a lot of the people that travel from the US are probably going to London so that's probably their experience but also still if you spoke to somebody I'm like 90% 99% of people would be nice oh 100% would be nice but yeah yeah whereas like in LA people will just talk to you for literally no reason like even
Starting point is 00:45:24 if you have your headphones on like to us we'd never go and talk to you for literally no reason like even if you have your headphones on like to us we'd never go and talk to somebody they've got their headphones on whereas they would be like i don't even i don't know they would say any anything just to make a conversation just to be nice a hundred percent that is the big difference yeah i do like that though because i feel like people yeah i like the fact that people will just come up and speak to us in america oh yeah i think it'd be a lot more easier to make friends and stuff in america for sure okay well then like spinning it back around to like dating then because obviously are we i feel like america boys may be a little bit more confident in that sense do we think that like english people tend to hook up more
Starting point is 00:45:58 with people than americans or do we think americans because i think americans right you know i think americans definitely hook up yeah i like after all the after parties and the coachella is i can see in everything i feel like american it's way more yeah again though i think it just goes back to i think it goes to confidence but also just not caring like just genuinely i think we care way too much like i wish we were more like americans in that sense 100 babe me too and i and i actually like love it like in the sense of somebody's like just go for it why not like what have you got to lose yeah so yeah i definitely think that americans do it a lot like as a whole definitely
Starting point is 00:46:36 america and you know what i think that americans as well also they love the british accent because every time we spoke to an american first of all we always got confused for australian like everyone literally said to us are you girls from australia and we were like no her the uk but like they love a british accent i like the american accent like if i heard i'd say i love the american accent every time i hear a boy here with an accent whether they're from like australia or american i'm like oh my god that's cool that you've got an accent do you know what i mean i think you just like what you don't have right the grass is always greener like we like an american accent because it's different i mean i love it but it's probably just because it's not what we're used to right probably but i do love
Starting point is 00:47:15 it i love hearing the american boys speak i don't know there's just something about they just sound more like i don't know what the word is but yeah more confident i guess that is literally what it is yeah let's go I don't know what the word is, but yeah, more confident. I guess that is literally what it is. Yeah. Let's go. Starting point is 00:49:03 I can really imagine having a house there. Yeah, that would be insane. It would be gorgeous. Yeah, that would be the dream. It's just expensive. It's so expensive. I mean, especially LA. LA is just crazy money.
Starting point is 00:49:20 LA is some of the things I spent money on from here in LA. Oh my God. Should we talk about when i guys i bought at the airport an energy drink a bottle of water and a packet of chocolate raisins 28 dollars and i said sat i went bloody what what do you mean it's 28 dollars look at the tail but like i he they'd already scanned it yeah because like i didn't like i'm not gonna lie i didn't check the price of the water
Starting point is 00:49:45 and the energy drink because I didn't think it'd be any more than at home. Well, in the UK, we'd pay what, a fiver in WSF's baby for like two drinks
Starting point is 00:49:53 and some sweets. But she'd already scanned it at this point, so I wasn't going, oh no, actually, I'll take out the, I thought,
Starting point is 00:49:59 well, I'm now actually paying $28. I was gobsmacked. Like, everything is, but it's even like the ERA 1 Hayley Bieber's movie. Isn't that like $30 or something near that?
Starting point is 00:50:08 Yeah, crazy. Like, so much money. Yeah, it's nuts. But I do love LA. I feel like the lifestyle, like when we would just waking up and just being there was just so nice. I think what I really...
Starting point is 00:50:20 Do you know what? Actually, I think what I like about it the most is what we've said in the sense of people don't care. Yeah. I think that's like what I way do you know what actually I think what I like about it the most is what we've said in the sense of people don't care yeah I think that's like what I way prefer is um in the UK I definitely do think we care too much and I don't even think like personally but like I mean I don't but people care way too much about other people's business and I just hate that like I don't know I don't know if also because like we're obviously online so much but like the amount of things I overthink posting or whatever because I'm like oh somebody's gonna rip into me for this or I'm like is this too cringe to post in America no one cares they're
Starting point is 00:50:57 like you like no one's gonna take the piss out of you for something like that like that just isn't a thing and so I think that's one thing I love about LA is like everyone's just there to like work on themselves there's not judgment you know I think a lot of people in LA is like they go there to make it and like so nobody judges you for like vlogging in the street not that people do here but like I would like I would vlog in the street in LA and not even think about it like not even think twice or like if I was taking an Instagram picture like everyone is doing it so I feel just like way more comfortable doing it there yeah like here you're taking an Instagram picture and like genuinely if you were doing it in public somebody would probably film you and be like who does she think
Starting point is 00:51:39 she is or I don't know like just something like that you know whereas that's never happening in America it's so normal in LA to do that. Like everyone is doing it. And I love that. It just feels like, yeah, I don't know. That's just a nice feeling.
Starting point is 00:51:52 Like not having to feel worried about like doing the job. But also just getting on with your life. Well, I think that's it. It's like everyone is, everyone's probably, everyone in America is more focused on themselves. Like that is the reality of
Starting point is 00:52:05 it that's exactly how and as they should be yeah which i think a lot of us brits would probably take as like ah stuck up or whatever but like it's so much better like we should all just focus on ourselves like why are we so bothered about other people i don't know i agree i think that's a lovely note to end it on i'm able to get that there you go let's let's do our own thing so i guess that's kind of the update since we've been away it's been we're back at home for a little while now yeah we're back home for a little while little i'm really not that i'm not actually home for very long but neither am i to be honest i've got quite a few trips coming up and booked but lots of fun things to talk to you guys about which will be fun well that is everything for today everyone
