I'm Candace DeLong, and on my podcast Killer Psychie Daily,
I share a quick 10-minute rundown every weekday
on the motivations and behaviors of the criminal masterminds
you hear about in the news.

Coming up on season 18 of Something Was Wrong, we'll hear an episodic collection of moving
and inspiring stories.
Here's a preview of three of the survivors we'll be highlighting this season.
I spent hours going through these TikTok videos trying to figure out what the hell was happening.
Police alleged 24-year-old Caitlin Braun of Branford reached out to at least a half dozen
doulas across Ontario for false pregnancies and stillbirths.
Braun was arrested by Ontario Police on Monday and is facing more than 30 charges.
I'm in shock.
She pretended to be a labor and delivering her.
Emma says, hey, Caitlin's been lying to a lot of people
telling them that you have died.
Incredibly believable, she would go as far as to vomit
in transition of labor.
It's hard to believe that something like this could happen.
It feels unbelievable. It's hard to believe that something like this could happen.
It feels unbelievable.
It feels a bit like a movie.
Trust your gut.
You don't need to know why something feels off.
If something feels off, that's reason enough.
He's a predator.
He prays on young black women. He puts himself in places where he will be surrounded by the women who he wants to pray upon.
I noticed a piece of mail with a name that I was not familiar with at all. I just thought he was cheating on me. It really didn't
cross my mind at all that he was assaulting somebody. It even makes me sick to
my stomach as I'm talking about it now. I just think it's important for people who
are experiencing a similar circumstance to know that you're not alone and this
is not your fault.
So I'm lying on this driveway, crying and bleeding, and no one called the cops.
This is everything that's building you to be this perfect victim.
You're loyal, you're not going to go tell anyone, you're going to keep your mouth shut.
And that's not just to the public, but you're not even going to say anything to your abuser.
Because your feelings don't matter.
How perfect is that?
He had pulled out a large kitchen knife, and he starts walking towards me.
He did not stop because he thought, oh, this is enough punches.
No, he stopped because I thought.
He knew to turn the cameras inside the house away.
He had pre-meditated this attack.
I kept saying, I know there's better than this.
I know life is better than this.
And I can tell you that being on the other side,
life is so much better than that.

When have we told you that there's a darker side to royalty?
And more often than not, life as a prince or princess is anything but a fairy tale.
I'm Brooke Sifrin, and I'm Arisha Skidmore Williams, and we're the hosts of Wondery's
podcasts, even the rich and rich and daily, and we're so excited to tell you about our brand-new
podcast called Even the Royals, where we'll be pulling back the curtain on royal families
past and present from all over the world.
On Even the Royals, we'll cover everything from stories you thought you knew, like Marie
Antoinette, who was actually a victim of a vulgar propaganda campaign which started a
wild chain of events that led to her eventual beheading.
Or, Catherine de Medici, who was assumed to be responsible for one of the most devastating
massacres in French history.
But in reality, she was a mother holding on to her dying dynasty.
Royal status might be bright and shiny, but it comes with the expense of everything else,
like your freedom, your privacy, and sometimes even your head.
