Stone Clearing With Richard Herring - Chapter 142

Episode Date: May 26, 2023

Chapter 142: Fhredded Wheat. It's 5.01pm on 25th May 2023 and there's only 7 months to non-stone Christmas, but there are no holidays for stone clearers and this chapter gives those of you who judge t...he dead something to think about when it comes to the scales of justice. Also explains how difficult it is to clear stones when faced with a beautiful if fleeting, sea of wheat. But the biggest mystery is, what will this chapter be called. Not for you here in the future, but for stupid old Richard Herring, stuck as he will be forever more in this podcast, in a past that has no answers.

Starting point is 00:00:00 Stone clearing with Richard Herring Hello my friend. You want to show that weight, set this up. Look, look over there. That's the look of what you're doing. I'm just riding across the road looking, you're going to get killed. Anyway, welcomes chapter 14. It's just a five-year, it's a little bit of an evening to here. 25th, I've... Oh, I have to leave an ink clear. 25th of December. May.
Starting point is 00:01:27 What? Only seven months to Christmas, everyone. Ha, ha, ha. House, house five months gone. One month. Oh, geez, I'm not being done. Nothing. Except.
Starting point is 00:01:41 I stone clear a day, I suppose that's quite a lot. It's nice day, I'm wearing my no socks and just my old horsemen chaners, classic new nettles, but not as very nettles as last time. Someone's been in and taking down the nettle, and that'll be nettles. So that's good. Yeah, lots of blue sky, I'm preparing a t-shirt. And now I'm setting hot, but it's not too cold. Yeah, look, the Fugan smell it. Freshly cut nettles.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Yeah look at the vegan smell it freshly cut apples. The blossoms, pink and white above our heads. A bit of a headache. Just on the colon. Just do this for pressure. Oh, it's nice. Thanks a lot. Excellent. And then, oh, that looks so sturdy. Having along the same route we're going to take.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Far enough away. Just pour it a little. far enough away. Just toward low little. I'm done a little by looking for a rest and shrapnel for the... I'm looking. Where everything might get in this well hidden. Let's see if we can click it. Yeah, I heard a click. I heard a click. I heard a click, I heard a link. And yeah, just doing some clips of day on Thursday just because I've got it away
Starting point is 00:03:39 this weekend. The past is new. See the focus in summer set. So this might be the last chance to get one in for this. Today, because I do them every day. I do them every day on summer set, obviously. That's easy, there's stones there. Loads of stone, cheddar gourd, for you to go out. What are you going to do, Wolffs? Oh! Getting pretty close, I think finishing this field.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Just picked up a stone there, but hard to see with all the weeds and stuff on here. Oh, there's a load of stones. Too many to pick up with one hand. Just contemplating, just thinking about the job ahead of me. How many stones did you complete before we're there as one? Oh, we're finished. How many years have we been going? How many more years will we have? These are the questions that will occupy your mind. The further you get into this task, this This location, this calling, this life.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Is that a life well lived? Yes. Is your life well lived? No, I'm actually clear. I've bucked up a lot of stones. My friend, how many stones have you cleared? Probably not as many as me. And if it's more than me, you know, I have a look at you, sir. I'm just picking up, so stones here. Oh, small.
Starting point is 00:05:28 This goes to the bottom of a tree. Always a good place to make your can, bottom of a tree. It's easy to remember where to put them. A tree kind of gives a bit of stability so you can. Look at the play in the back down. I can't see a one-and-a-two. Two little boys contribute to the late great Scrop Harris. 93 years young it's our vacation too soon
Starting point is 00:06:08 could have been like oh I won't be don't we where to start I am squinted up to that wall of house being good could have been 90 years younger three years old ferns of the creek near his place couldn't swim somewhere I managed to scrambler's way to the bank frighten as a witsap is
Starting point is 00:06:24 a lot of dad's keeping bet they had in Twirpsons. I'm pretty similar to that. If you watch that, if public information film that you may or may not know that I'm quoting there, here's a Tassam sinister over time. You kids go and wait, if you can't swim, go and wait the shallow end for me, then I'll come and get you.
Starting point is 00:06:46 A bit about kids wondering off and then we know what can happen to them. Watch it again with fresh eyes it's on YouTube. In many ways I think my parents was a very very bad person. But you know I've probably said saved a few lives with that swimming campaign like old give me savels, can't click every trip. The scales of heaven shall judge them how many stones to pick clear. That's what the trip is. That's all it boils down to. You may judge someone else for their crimes, but what is your look at the rock in
Starting point is 00:07:26 your own eye? You'll get to heaven though go how many stones did you clear? I didn't do any crimes, but it doesn't matter Jimmy Savo, 11 stones, he's better than you. better than you. There's no morality out here, there's only the cold hard morality, the friendly stones you clear and no laws of course, they're the ones you want to stone through, the murder, no one can touch you. Due to the ancient bylaws, here and no one can touch it due to the ancient bylaws but it is written and though it must be found that any man or woman be they clearing stones can be found guilty of no crime if they are not clearing phones then fair game. Those are in a happier time in a lot of ways.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Obviously that's a bit apparent but there's no stone stars yet to stop. To stop the stone cameras in that law is written. Then people start to kill. The stone clears white, just because they've burned it a few people. Think of the stones they've cleaned. Their balance, it's a balance, it's a scale, it's a scale of life.
Starting point is 00:09:00 The more stones you can put on your side of the scale, the more you're likely you will enjoy it Room in heaven with my father and to stones sit on a stone you throw me Stone thrown to The game of thrones in many ways As I've told you this history because there's no fucking stones to be seen for a heart man or a beast. There's two in the morning around.
Starting point is 00:09:34 I've got my... You know, the old... Trowel! I just got a little bit of that to make today so I can't get those ones deep in the hard cracked ground. I'm walking over them, looking at them wishing to get their sweet nuts. They're nuts. They're made in trap and good.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Weat is beautiful, let's take a look at the beautiful weet. Threaded weet. This is making it good for a toe. The sun's got in, it was... See, we got there, that might be good. Oh, that's nice. Threaded wheat could be the title of the buckler. I don't know you know you will know what the buckler is. Once again you have one up on me. Did turn out it was Nettles Nettles Nettles Nettles
Starting point is 00:10:42 Nettles Nettles last time. I a pastime, but I didn't know that good. I feel I think it's a right turn. If you're in the future, this is my start in the past. This is my dog. I'm eagle. The sea, what shall come? It's actually a stone starter across in the field and that's because it's not given.
Starting point is 00:11:06 So, it goes back on the lead. And the couple might keep going. They could have prying. They could have prying there. Imagine if it becomes elements in the trial. You've got to listen to all that stuff about both Harris first. And without the context of previous 141 chapters. Yeah, good for me.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I think people don't have any. I think that's all happening. There's a cross, a cross, I'm going to go that way, I honestly don't know. Come on, we'll be safe. We'll be, come on. Go. Go, go. Thank you. I think we need my lights.
Starting point is 00:12:13 Same size there. I'm telling you she's not full to go before. We'll be safe. And we've headed up through to the main care now. We're taking a short cut to find out if we're going to be a shorter one. There's a walkie-housen poop yet. You're going to poop? What did you poop on that, I didn't say?
Starting point is 00:12:37 The worst poop of all. That was beautiful. This field is so lovely. There's some weird grass growing in the middle, there isn't wheat, for another way, it's fairly uninterrupted field of wheat. And sometimes you know I can look at the organic material around me, there's beauty in that too. It's stoned out the only beautiful thing that has been dry in some ways.
Starting point is 00:13:06 We're out of light. Sometimes you think, well, look at this beautiful sea of green, it's a flattering, I watched it from across the other field the other day, my secret field. And you can see the waves crossing the station. That's a beautiful sight. I don't remember it's so impermanent. This wheat die.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Maybe we made it a food, we shatter out. By someone it probably doesn't need to be like wheat. Maybe bread, maybe it's some threaded wheat. Maybe it's some wheat or picks. Maybe I'll just go to feed some chickens who knows the ears are all pointing towards me they're all listening so not much opportunity to cut it stones here, really thick with vegetation. Plane crosses over.
Starting point is 00:14:14 One of the Hamilistones on my main. Not many. One of the how many stones there are in the university, you can count them all. More than 20km. But yeah, there's a point to go. There's a nice stone here. In the path can I flick it with my foot? No, it's too far. Have my, you know, the cool, prowl. That would be a nice one to take it off. Leave a nice little indentation in the ground. Let people know if someone has been here.
Starting point is 00:15:10 You can get an idea what shape it was. Perhaps if someone was determined they could find the stone for the back. Like a sort of crazy jigsaw with a billion pieces scattered to the wind. But it says, and that what's done gluing is, I'm making the jigsaw. Edge of the field, pieces scattered here. One day they'll all fit together. I haven't got a single fucking thing, grass a whole thing.
Starting point is 00:15:44 The main gem covered in, I'm going to cross the whole thing. I'm going to be making a giant cover there. I'm going to cross. It's going to be a parody of my efforts. I'm covering inorganic with organic material. Tell them that I make. You do that all you like. Organic material will not be here even in a year's time. It'll be gone and the stones will still be here.
Starting point is 00:16:08 I've put a couple of pebbles on there that's just picked up absolutely disgrace so down the hill we go my friends the wall of wheat to the wheat wall see that would be a good name for the podcast I forgot what the other one could be All of wheat, so the wheat wall, see that would be a good name for the puck as I forgot what the other one could be. That was shredded wheat. Wall of wheat, wall of shredded wheat, all the possibility underneath.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Wall of wheat, it could be a game shell. I mean it isn't in a way, isn't it? It's only a game shell. It would be a game show. It's only a good title. I remember when the contestants of Big Brother were really single, but they weren't allowed to use the song they'd sung in the Big Brother House, so they changed it to its only a game. Show me the way. One of that songs.
Starting point is 00:17:01 More than even the main people don't think they'd nasty in it, wasn't even the main people, don't they? Master Nick was in it. I was the first person after the being in McCall to find out, then Master Nick had been trapped out. Standing behind her in the ITV lunch queue. I said, as he gone, she said, overheard. I said as he gone just said, he had been overhired.
Starting point is 00:17:32 And heady days, heady days, back when I was involved in the water television. In a way, what a shallow world that was and how compared to what I'm doing now. Meaningless, isn't it? I don't think you know what I call nasty, no. What do they matter when I've got a little stone in my hands, I've just kicked out the part. The biome, shod feet. Thanks to the nettles, many nettles. The nettles family has been emailing and since Granny Nettles is known in last week. It's going to be difficult enough to find something for you now for an omelette came without somebody. I've got something for a picture stop
Starting point is 00:18:19 Brexit that I need to find more stones and this is just the grass, the ground's covered in cut grass and they're in the middle of the stone there, just picked up one, I mean this is the left side of this might be the, there'll be statisticians out there who know how many stones I clear an episode, this might be one of the lightest stone clears, one stone, built into the Brexit ditch, built with nettles. It's a different person actually. 20 times less, it's got quite cool knit. Probably one of my younger listeners tried to find me. And I've got one stone to be able to get up to 100km. That's all right, the risk.
Starting point is 00:19:07 There's another short one, fellas, and lady. And, uh... It's so sunny, it's not too far away from the phone. I've never happened in the old days, because I didn't have phone things. So we're heading back down ducking's passage. No, still. I'm in Wales, in the summer setlist, this is from the many millions of summer setlistness, on Sunday, one o'clock being relatively dumb model. Five o'clock we're doing, kind of have a ball.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Worked good progress. And the hell is the most toxic in in London on the fifth of June. We'd love to see you there. Six sounds pretty good for a couple of shows, but not very good for the others. Still lots of guests are out. And it's permitted. But it's not been very well but it's a good place to use and then most. In a monster hall.
Starting point is 00:20:16 It comes in good, the name's already. But that's not what we should be doing there. I'm going down the path to try this for you to use. Rich, it's me. High-un-die, blossom. Blossom high-un-die. Blossom high-un-die. Blossom high-un-die.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Are you doing any shows that we think coming to? Look, this isn't about that. It's not just about the world. More than the world, the world, the world. Do you have any gifts for us? That's so much. I'll put them out on the phone. Thanks for that email, bossam Hyundai. I think it's got another email from Pissol Mini Compton.
Starting point is 00:21:14 I'll put some boards. I'm currently Pissol Steaders, I'm currently pissing off the stairs, I'm currently pregnant, I'm a woman. And is it okay for pregnant women to stand here? Is there a point where we should stop? Is there a child or does it also contravene the rule that says children are not allowed so to. All good questions. And the answer is, I'm going to have a gift for the thumb of yours and then you know,
Starting point is 00:22:00 it's the right one. All right, whoopie. Come here, good girl. I'm going to go. See you next time. Thanks for listening. Goodbye. Yeah, just the railing. Right, whoopie! Come here, good girl. I'm gonna go. See you next time. Thanks for listening. Goodbye. I'll run my good turn after that. That's the long run.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Bye! Enjoy your stone glurry. Liffen to the stone, my friend, and they for half a year married dance. Don't live unto the bird's pantry. Don't live unto your underpants. Liffen to the stone, Liffen to the stone, And they interned, I'll live for no, to ye, my friend, my fine friend. Stone clearing with Richard Herring, starved me, Richard Herring, and Wolfie the dog. Plus that lady who said she'd never walked a dog before and that other guy, who I thought might murder me, the couple walking the dogs early on,
Starting point is 00:23:15 and yeah, probably some other people as well. The music that I might cough grade, the voice of the tones is Michael Faheem. for him. Don't live unto your underhand. Live unto the foes. Live unto the foes. And they enter and fall into ye. To ye my friend, my friend
