Stone Clearing With Richard Herring - Chapter 147

Chapter 147 - Ye Great Walle of Ftraw. It's coming up to 5.30pm on 16th August 2023 and the daily clear continues, but with a difference (apart from the last two or three days) - the crop has been harvested and Haffelhoffing is once again possible. There are still dangers and difficulties - straw lies on the ground like snow and their are walls that must be climbed and a holy shrine has been desecrated, but the earth shall provide bounty to those who clear stones and sing the stone clearer song.

Stone clearing with Richard Herring Hello my five friends and flat cats. It's 1719 on the 16th of August, the year of our Lord, 2023. Not my Lord, the Lord of your Lord. We're heading out to the Stocean for to get us some stones. And I can tell you, there is a relatively exciting development in that the crop has been shone. Not shone, well shone. Oh, it's top, it's gone off. So the weak mix actually probably makes a weak mix probably. So that means we can do a bit of hassle-hoffing. It means there may be a little bit of disturbance

in the soil but if it's the same as yesterday you'll remember yesterday's foot dust, the same as yesterday, you'll remember yesterday's food cost. I don't know why I'm telling you all this again. Then the bottom parts, the plants are still in the ground. So it's not perfect conditions, it's better conditions. We will find some stones. It's going to be more stones than we've had over the last few months. And this daily task, but not as many

as we'll have when for tone-crypma, Duff come and the ground gets churned up. A head of the new planting, I guess they might harvest this stuff for straw, these big piles of it, but still the bottom parts of the plant. And there now, oh, I mean look, I sound out of breath, I'm actually been pretty fit this week, I'm just thinking I'm a bit tied, I've been eating a bit of super healthy, I've got a couple of K, a couple of KGs. Look at this we can see, for the first time it's going to be easy to collect some... ...trapnel for the... oh that's more than a trapnel. That one looks like it was a little pebble when it came up and... oh and the out for a number again... ...is here, it's been flattened, do not like that, someone's come with a machine and cut the

stuff around it, it's a flat and down for a number of games, the first time I've seen it for a while, I'll take the photo for you, because you'll want to see this, but that is not the care that used to be, that it's flat, I don't know if that comes across in the photo, that used to be proper. We'll build it up, we can rebuild it. That's a desecration of a religious shrine and I will be contacting the UN. So as we look at the field now, you'll see, well you can't see but I will see that yeah it is quite covered in straw so although some bits are more open and we can see stuff other bits are actually worse than they were before this is like it's snowed straw and still clean a couple of stones there it's another little one gone and

the ground completely covered it as if you imagine it snowed instead of snowing snow it snowed like dry grass that's what it looks like not so I'm saying lucky there's a couple of there's some piles that are three feet high but you can see a few stones picking through the straw bed and also in places we do get a bit of soil but this is not the clear that I hoped it might be. We might see some bigger stones amongst you know I'm now a meter out from the shoreline of the stoshin which is an exhilarating experience after so many months of having to tow the line there's another bit of shrapnel off orangey piece of stone um

so it's nice to be out here we'll see what we can find there, it looks like a founder nice small large, and the shape of a of a of a of a deer reindeer, if you know what that shape like. Oh, a couple of bits, sort of some few bits of weird pottery, could be Anglo-Saxon, Anglo-Saxon. It could be a bit of a brick and a couple of tiles. Put that in the base of the tree. Not completely in my remit, but it's certainly not organic, is it? So I will clear it. It was fascinating to find it. Sometimes it's interesting to find these manmade stones but really we're out here looking for and if we look over the first while there's straw actually if we were to jump over that barrier there is a bit more muddy where the tracks of the track to have been so it's an exciting day after a lot of boredom. You have listened diligently to every single podcast that's done this. Yeah, you know, I knew the decision to go daily would sort the men

from the boys and the women from the boys as well. So you endured a lot of fruit and searching, so this is at least something different, something exciting as an understand. Now clear more stones already in the first five minutes than I have, probably in the last two or three clears. So I'm just giving a kick to this bit of brown. Looks amazing man, but I think it's natural. Up at the black, there's blackberries growing here. I've been doing my dog walk up the hill some days, stopping off. Eat about 20 blackberries and each walk is a little snack. Free food. And that is although we're not interested in organic material as stoneclures we do of course require organic material in order to live. So when this

Wolf is chasing, oh that one's gone really in a different direction, I intend to bring it back to the south of the field. A goose is flying overhead, don't even hear that. A goose. There would have been coal back in my day. And yeah, just getting some nice catches here, just finding some nice stones. None of them that big.

But all of them having laying on the field waiting for me all year, excited to be there, they're crying out, excitement, have that been found at last. That one somehow sitting on top of the straw, I didn't get there, maybe I will make a little leap over there, there is basically a great wall of straw. If you imagine the great wall of China, but it's a lot smaller in height and made of straw, I've just had to climb over that to get to the tire tracks of the tractor. They have the tires of the tractor have had the effect and this some of you need to watch out for pushing the stones deeply into the, what was probably soft mud as it went over.

And now it's harder mud and so I can't really get many of the stones I hope to find over here, but that's actually a better closer to the land. There's something like this like an egg. It's like a sort of egg, but it's not an egg, it's a stone. It's got some mud on it that mud will come off with as it bounces as it did. I'm still very upset about the desecration of the religious shrine, is the Alphanomagican.

And the other can do not quite hold the same religious significance, but a can dedicate to the gods. Imagine if some people came and pissed on the Ulteritt Westminster Abbey, how would you feel you're christian idiots would be upset. So if someone just to get some kind of machinery and knock down a pile of stoves, it's widened the base of what will one day be a towering wall. Certainly around here I'm getting a good glimpse between the former wheat bits of stones that will be cleared. The Great Wall of Straw that crosses the field this way as someone's cut apart through it so I can get through with that clambering over. I hope you're imagining the Great Wall of China but three, like two feet high made a straw. No turrets or anything and yes, but it is loads of it. As you anything, and yes, I'm at it.

There's loads of it, as you look across the field, I mean, that was the photo, but I've got to do the shrines, the photo. There's just the sun right at you, and I'll take a photo of this. You can then fucking imagine a, just imagine a flat and a can. That's what the other thing is. This is beautiful, the sun rays through the sky I hope it kind of shows what I'm looking at I'll go a bit closer in that's nice you can see if you know you don't have to imagine the great wall of China just look at that picture

It's picked up a small-ish brown stone, a little bit like a kind of mobile phone for a known-sized individual. If

you're a gnome and had a mobile phone I am a gnome and I've got a mobile phone. Then it would look a bit like this. There's no numbers on screen, unless you have size wise. It has a slightly pronounced screen. Maybe it's more like a gnome's car window scraper to get ice off a gnome's car window. I don't know if you know I said it was some gold that come up with it's it's better than that there's a couple of quite good medium stones take a photo of that as well oh I can't take a photo of everything, it's all just one of the medium stones. Take a bite of that as well. I can't take a bite of everything. It's all just dropped one of the medium stones but these will go across to the Ken Ketchival, the main Ken, the signature Ken, the Ken and Barbie. That's what it should be, isn't it? It's Kenuff. Kenoff. Yeah. Cross promotion with Barbie, they've put some stone clearing stuff in, they said, into the movie,

One of my more successful attempts to publicize your secret to very secret pokers. As we get here, there are tires of churned up the land, but not creating much. Wherever that creature that dug underneath the field,

some kind of rabbit-tie imagine. Badger! That creature has created more stones than the human activity. That's fine. Right, we have to get back because I don't get the kids in the bath. But there's two mediums of large small and a medium small onto the Ken and Barbie. Ken and Barbie, the Ken and Barbie Ken. And we head down the hill. Again I can move out into the field. Have a look and see what I can see for the deck, the bridge, the Richie ditch, the ditch that stop Richie. Do you think it's a coincidence that Lee Et Legionnaires disease hit that barge? No it's not Richie Ditchie. Richie the Ditchie soon cacked. I'm not seeing any stones really here though. See head down. We'll

feed... that's done this from way I think but I'm not sure if it really here though. She had down, we'll feed her. It's done some way I think, but I'm not sure if she's pooed. She's certainly pooed in the garden. I was doing a bit of gardening, I nailed in some of it. And another big blob of diarrhea I found without leaving in it, but it was a pretty hard to clear. It's nasty when it happens on your lawn. Much better she does it out here,

which has got a bit of a dodgy tummy for people who are interested in that part of the park as, oh, in a nice long, this is like I think a dildo for, what's next up from a gnome? You know, like I'm talking about a lot of the rings, Star Dwarf, you wanna say Dwarf, I don't mean a little person,

I mean, fantastical creature. If that creature would have quite a sharp dildo, we've mainly smooth edges but a couple that would really cut any orifice, that it was pushed into, that would be it and then there's like a a turd shaped stone now that I picked up. It's the kind of turd I think that I mean what's between a dwarf and a fantastical dwarf I suppose it out but I don't think an elf would do as thicker as this. Maybe it's another sort of dwarf Maybe it's another sort of dwarf flop, but not like a full If we're going in fantastical features anyway both of these the The dwarf the dwarf build on the dwarf turns will be finding their way

Into the ditch that stop Brexit and the ditch that Richie Richie Sinak He that he failed to quail. Maybe he hit him, he knocked down the Alfred Nummukken, wouldn't surprise me, doesn't sound very British to that. Sounds a bit European. So I've got one bit of Shrapnel to try and build that. At least I can see the offering on my can now. That's the good side of this bit of vandalism. So I can now start building it upwards. Where it's before.

Last year you wanted to just be chucking stones towards what I imagine is the offering on my can. what I imagine is the upper and lower giken. A couple more stones here just exposed by the tire tracks. Nothing too significant. I mean, every stone is significant. Nothing big. Just nice size. We will rebuild you, how for an lower giken? And there's a nice spread here, actually.

Just there are other ones that missed by quite a long way spreading along here and fitfully a blackberry bush right by the omicacan where a weary stone clearer who's given his all to the stone gods can help themselves to some of the bounteous fruits of nice ones up here let's give them a go sometimes they're a bit bitter these but it's taking chance on me. That's my reward from me. Oh yeah. Ah! That was a pretty horrible really.

grind it into flour in your face, nettles, you can eat those, it's done, you make it into a tea, you've got a hot water and stuff for the heat, which I don't, so just eat it, it's gobbled up, anything you say, just stuff in your mouth, berries, whatever you like, what's the worst thing,
