Recorded live at Corolla One Studios with Adam Corolla and board certified physician
and addiction medicine specialist, Dr. Drew Pinsky.
You're listening to the Adam and Dr. Drew show.
Yeah, get it on, get it on.
Get on the board certified physician. The Adam and Dr. So, Ami, our
last show we ended up with talking about BIN, Black Information Network. So I talked to
Ami and I explained to him what this thing was. I think we can play a little intro or
a little clip so you can get an idea of what it is.
This is Scott and Dion for Practical Parenting. These are challenging times.
It's difficult to manage emotions and feelings in light of what's happened in Minneapolis,
Atlanta, Louisville, and so many other places.
But how are your kids handling these things?
Psychologist Dr. Nikesha Hammond has some tips for black parents to manage racism at
home.
Have continuous conversations with children about racism.
Continuous.
Never stop.
The role of police and how everything is impacting your family.
Never talk, never stop talking about racism.
If you have teenagers, chances are they're exposed to all sorts of traumatic social media
images.
Let them know your values and emphasize you'll be a source of support for them.
Make sure they understand that their voice matters.
It's okay to let them know you don't have the solutions to everything related to racism.
Do the best you can to stay educated
on how to best help your children.
Also, take care of yourself
so you can be the most supportive parent possible.
Race-related stress will affect you
and affect your relationship with your children.
This is Scott and Dion on the Black Information Network.
Because you fucking tarts won't stop talking about race.
That's why your kids are affected.
It's like in every end zone in every NFL game it now says end racism. If it said end malaria and we never
stop talking about malaria, I would think this country had a pretty big problem with
malaria and I would be freaked out if I was 13. They have no fucking idea what they're
doing or how much damage they're causing or maybe
they don't give a fuck.
They're just hammering checks.
You know, my mom told me growing up in the 80s in LA with the LAPD, don't fuck with the
cops.
Be respectful.
Out of your way, be respectful because they may take a baton and hit you across the head.
I will, I'll give, I'll condense it to this.
Don't even think of them as cops.
Think of them as dudes with guns and then act accordingly.
Meaning if just a dude had a gun, would you walk to him waving your hands, screaming,
calling him pigs?
Like just a dude with a gun and then act accordingly.
The greatest, look, whenever you want to blow the mind of a liberal or a leftist on race,
you always ask them the same question.
You say, how many unarmed black
people were killed by cops last year or the year before or the year before that? And their number
is hundreds, maybe thousands. They would literally say that. They say the number is under 15. They go,
that's a lie. I go, it ain't a lie. It's all demonstrable on the internet at the Washington
Post as a database for it. They break it down. And if you break down those 15 actually, if you really want to look at it, first of all,
half of them were killed by black people, black cops.
Right.
So that's off the table right there as race, although they will tell you, no, no, no, no,
no.
And by the way, what's more racist?
It's internalized racism.
Yes.
These black people have no agency as cops.
They had to buy into the racism of the force and they had to be a bro to kill.
They'll contort themselves to come up with something to show that
Racism is alive and well, right? All right, so Ami
Because he's up for a challenge and or bored as shit or possibly both
Contacted the black information network. Hmm, and he said I as at you would like to be a voice on
BIN and in there, you know
And I have great respect and they they the person I talked to is the host of one of the most popular shows in BIN
Ramsey's job phenomenal guy a man the left for sure, but he said, look, I actually am familiar with your videos.
I'm honored that you're calling me.
I disagree with a lot of your premises, but I know that you have my community's best interest
at heart.
That's nice.
And we have, I've been on a show for an hour every single month since we had that conversation
where he allows me, and mostly because it happened right after October 7th, most of
our discussions have been around Israel and the Palestinians, where we have a very different view on it.
But he gives me an hour to discuss it and debate it.
And I'm truly, truly appreciative of him and of Adam Carolla for turning me on to them.
Yeah.
But maybe that's the new...
I make introductions, Drew.
I know that.
Maybe you're enlightened, man.
But maybe that's the new trend. It's not gonna be in the mainstream
But maybe that's what people are having longer conversations and real exchanges. Yes. Yes, absolutely
now he has
he has changed his percept Ramsey's has over the last few months because he has and
Initially he was he really wanted to hear what he didn't know. He didn't know, he knew he didn't know.
But because he's a man on the left, he has been buying into these theories that are demonstrably
false.
But because they're being pushed by people on the left, that they believe, he and other
people are more eager to believe it, because it does comport with their narrative on the
oppressor oppressed. more ego to believe it because it does comport with their narrative.
On the right too though, now that's a, everyone's really drifting into these zones where they're trying to understand
our present moment and then draw their own conclusions based on their biases.
Look, you guys know that I, I call it the way I see it. I don't, I don't,
I'm not a slave to one ideology.
And when I had you were a democratic candidate for something, right?
Yeah, that's not really a good example of, but no, look, on the right, you look at this
new neo-isolationism that's happening and the way it's manifested itself has become
extremely anti-Israel because they're saying their view, their frankly insane, retarded view of geopolitics is that the reason why Americans
are dying in Afghanistan and now they're being killed
in the Red Sea is because you people, the Jews,
the Israelis are creating problems for everybody.
You're the problem.
The reason why Americans are spending money and dying
in the Middle East is because of you people.
That's not an unc, now that is not the majority view of the Republican party, but that is
not a small minority view and it's a growing view and it's a scary view.
And now you have these two anti-Israel elements coming from the right, the hard right and
the hard, well the hard right and frankly I would have said the hard left, but now if
you look at how Biden has changed on Israel over the last couple of months, it's now even
the center left, their view on Israel.
It's a very, very dangerous time.
And look, I make the statement for Ukraine.
I think it's dangerous for the right to not support Ukraine.
Not for any, forget the moral reasons on Ukraine.
I debated Matt Gaetz on this issue and I could not understand this guy and his position on
it.
We have, for a relatively small amount of money considering how much we spent on defense,
we have destroyed the Russian army.
We have taken the Russian army off of the playing field as a geopolitical foe for the
next 25 years without expending one American life.
We did spend some money on it, but money worthwhile.
And even more than that,
you think China, we know we're worried about China and Taiwan. You think China looks and
says this is what the West did to protect, and then we're off topic, to protect a far
less important ally than Taiwan. They went to this extent. I don't want to fuck with
that. I don't want anything to do with that. I think we've stopped China from touching Taiwan for decades
Also, I would argue that the right
extreme is
Mostly comprised of people that just say we don't get involved with any
Foreign anything right? You know, it's kind of isolationist versus blame the Jews
anything. Right. You know, it's a kind of isolationist versus blame the Jews isolationist. I think there's a larger right extremists that just go, we shouldn't be going off our
shores with any troops or any money or any munitions.
Just full of old fashioned isolationism.
Yeah, it's old fashioned.
It was like that. It's, if you look at somebody like Katizone, she's a perfect example I'm
talking about. She has become full anti-Israel.
Oh, really?
Borderline and Semitic.
And some will argue, oh, I'm very careful about calling people anti-Semitic, but some
will call her over the line and Semitic.
Full anti-Israel.
Like, not even like making arguments, and this is, not even making like arguments that
one can argue and say, okay, I see what you're saying, you're wrong.
She's lying, like demonstrably false information,
pushing demonstrably false information about Israel,
because yeah, I would have said that a couple of years ago
that that was the default position of that hard right
was isolationist, and they didn't care either way.
Israel, Arab, I don't care.
Which is, which is, I don't think it was a couple years ago,
it was probably six months ago.
Maybe, maybe, but it has, I have personally noticed
a change in temperature on the hard right
when it comes to Israel.
Well, it's weird that the black community
seems to be per capita more anti-Israel
than other communities.
Does that seem curious to you?
No, because for the ones who, well for the ones who care,
because most just don't know, don't care, right?
But the ones who care, the problem is that because they look at everything through the
oppressor-oppressed matrix, they say, well, since Israel is the most successful of any
country in that area, not even close, by definition, they have to be the oppressor.
They could not get the same idea of you're rich. The only way to become rich in the world is by stepping on the necks of people below you
Definitionally, that's the only way to have done it because it's a static pie our economy
If you take one slice you have definitely taken a slice somebody else. Yeah, look at Israel that way
well what they're essentially doing is sort of grafting their worldview onto other things,
such as those koi fish are being annoyed by the geese.
That makes Dr. Drew laugh.
So good.
What is that?
Well, I'll tell you why.
I'll tell you.
Women.
You know, I'm never going to date again when this gets out.
Women get annoyed, right?
They use the word annoyance all the time. It is annoying. You know. Men don't really ever say annoyed. I'm never gonna date again when this gets out. Women get annoyed, right?
They use the word annoyance all the time.
They use annoying.
Men don't really ever say annoyed.
I'm not annoyed by something.
And I'll give you a perfect example.
Sometimes she'll go like,
hey, why don't we go to dinner with Joe and his girlfriend?
And I'll go, she's annoying, she's annoying.
And then I go, what do you mean she's annoying?
She's annoying.
Why don't you date that guy anymore?
He's annoying, you're too nice to be annoying. But we just go I go, well, why don't you date that guy anymore? He's annoying, you two don't have to be annoying.
But we just go to dinner.
Nah, I don't wanna go to dinner.
Annoying is good.
They use annoying because it's not definable.
Like if they say she's too cheap,
you go, well, but last time she picked up the bill
when we went to dinner.
Like you can sort of discuss that.
Annoying is just some weird umbrella thing
that can never fully be discussed.
Globally uncomfortable with it.
But I never say annoyed.
And guys never say annoyed.
I would say the guy's a douche.
Yeah, the guy's an asshole or he never shuts up
or he's a pompous ass or he's.
Aggressive.
Whatever Ed is at dinner, you go, that's who this guy is.
He's a narcissist, he never stops talking about himself,
you know, whatever, I can't get a word in edge-wide.
But annoying-
You're not talking about when we have dinner.
No. No.
But annoying is global, right?
And so my girlfriend and I were walking in,
I don't know what city we're on,
and we're walking across a bridge over a lake, and the geese were, or the ducks were all on the embankment
on the sort of curbside, and the lake was filled with these koi fish or cod or something,
they were all swinging around, the geese were just standing there.
And I said, yeah, it's funny, the geese aren't in the water, all the fish are in the water,
the geese are just standing. I bet those kois annoy the geese!
They're annoyed by the geese.
They can't be, you're the, female human beings are the only species that are capable of being annoyed. Foul cannot be annoyed.
There's no else in the animal, you can't annoy a moose.
You can anger a moose or you can scare a moose, and you can make them horny, but you can't
annoy.
So, I just realized, oh, they just graft.
There's just this thing where there's just this grafting and so and projection. So blacks here have this whoever's
in power must be keeping us down kind of mentality and then they just grafted on globally. So yes,
the Israelis are doing well in an ashtray of idiots who aren't doing well and so they must
be taking it off the back of the people who aren't doing
well.
I mean, I grew up with that, my mom.
The indigenous people were here and they lived in peace, and then we came in and we raped
the land and we took everything from them.
This country was built on slavery.
We wouldn't have this country if we didn't have slavery.
This sort of mentality, And then they just grafted
everyone. They grafted everywhere to try to affirm their thoughts, which aren't correct.
It's mostly about affirming their own failure. Since I can't succeed,
you, the only way you could succeed is by taking, because it's about them projecting their failures
onto other people. 100%. 100%. My mom was a colossal loser. I say that with great respect.
Great love.
And all she would do is sit around and think of ways that she could make people who were
successful unsuccessful or successful through the rape of the land or the rape of the people.
And if she really got out of ideas, she would just explain, you know they're miserable.
That was her default.
And she just sat on her beanbag chair
getting welfare checks and food stamps,
sort of pontificating,
but it was because she felt like a loser.
And that, we didn't used to indulge that as a society.
We now, there's a cottage industry,
and this is why it makes me mad when politicians do it.
They completely indulge that.
Drew and I were talking the other day.
I mean, we gotta find some of those Obama clips.
Emmy, there's a great clip of Obama
when he gave that speech at some kind of losers convention and he said,
you're successful, yeah, maybe you worked hard, but you didn't do it on your own.
You didn't build it.
Yeah, who built that road? Somebody built the road. Somebody, you had a school teacher, like,
oh really? That's, the two greatest ones were that one is, and at some point you have enough money,
although someone should tap on the shoulder and ask him where that threshold is
Now now for him
He may have crossed that threshold
No with his first hundred million dollar Netflix deal, right?
He didn't they never give a number like when you say to Bernie Sanders, okay
How much do you want to tax the rich? Give me the number? What is it?
You know, they never well, it's enough to pay for, you know, but they'll never,
they're not so foolish that they ever go, 50 million bucks, once you cross that,
every cent should be given to charity after, they'll never do that. But somebody should say
to Obama, you gave the speech where at a certain point you have enough, you guys are at $100 million
plus, are we at that threshold yet?
And then if we are, what are you doing about it?
Well, my favorite mantra of the left is,
the rich don't pay their fair share.
Oh, that's your mom.
April 15th is coming up, tax season,
it's all about the rich don't pay enough taxes.
So one time I went up to people and did a video
and I said, did the rich pay their fair share?
Of course, absolutely not, of course not.
I said, what would be the fair share?
Now, okay, they don't have an answer.
So I would prompt it.
I would say, well, let's give some numbers.
I said, so the top 1% earn,
I don't know the exact numbers, I'm making that up roughly,
but earn about 25, 30% of all the wealth in the country.
Would 25, 30% of all taxes be fair?
They go, that would be fair.
That sounds fair. Well, do you know they pay double that
in terms of the share of taxes?
And they go, I didn't know that.
Or they would say, well, what percent?
So for example, the left all, truly, this is so,
if you know anything about taxes,
you know that we have a progressive tax system.
The less you make, the lower your percentage
that you pay, right?
But if you ask them, they say the exact opposite.
There's no rich pay the smaller percentage,
the rich pay a larger percentage.
I'm like, that is the exact,
how do you not know anything about our tax code?
Zero, but you know why?
Cause they don't pay taxes.
Yeah, well, look, you sell a mansion in Los Angeles
and it's 5 million or up to 10 million,
but you sell it the five million mark,
you pay 4% in mansion tax.
And if you sell a $10 million mansion,
you spend, you're taxed at 5%.
So it goes-
To the exact opposite.
Well, because the numbers are getting bigger.
Yeah, because they're numbers.
It's insane.
It's insane.
And it doesn't work that way anywhere else in nature.
So if you, meaning let's just say you go to a car auction, you want to buy a car auction
and you're at a big auction house, RM, Gooding, Sotheby's, whatever, they go, look, you buy
a car under $100,000, you pay 12% VIG.
If it's over $100,000, you pay 10% VIG. If it's over $100,000, you pay 10% VIG.
They incentivize everybody.
It's the other direction with everything in life.
You go to a casino, you sit at the high stakes table,
they'll comp you your room.
You know what I mean?
You're spending more potentially.
You get something for it.
Where the government's-
I used to always scream you wanted your to drone police car, squad cars.
No, I wanted my own garbage man.
I felt it was fair.
All right, so let's see.
I guess, Emmy, the Obama, oh, we have it.
Oh, okay.
Oh, well, wait.
All right, there's two.
There's, you didn't build it yourself, which I love.
Great message.
And, but where you really have to listen
is the people in the audience cheering and going nuts.
That would be my mom.
She would be cheering.
Yeah, yeah, these people didn't do it themselves.
Right.
Look how young he looked.
I know, I saw that, I noticed that.
And the other one is, at some point you have enough money,
which I love, people should throw that in his face
every 15 seconds when you got enough.
$100 million Netflix, book deals, three houses,
$20 million house in Maui or whatever.
He hasn't hit that threshold yet.
No, but he won't say what it is.
But somebody should be asking him constantly,
don't you have enough money?
Well, it's buffering now, so maybe.
What's working fine for Americans.
We were waiting for you to hit black.
Wasn't working for ordinary Americans.
And we've learned that clearly.
It doesn't work out fine for the
country. It's got to change.
Now, what we're doing,
I want to be clear.
We're not, we're not trying to push
financial reform because
we begrudge success that's
fairly earned.
I mean, I do think at a certain
point you've made enough money. Oh, there it is. Oh, that's that earned. I mean, I do think at a certain point, you've made enough money.
Oh, there it is.
Oh, that's that one, yeah.
Fuck you.
Fuck right off.
Or are you at that point?
Yeah.
Obama's walk the walk.
Yeah.
So the other one we're looking for is,
you didn't build that yourself,
roads and teachers and whatnot,
but yeah, you made enough. We're
not. You've made enough money. The government's going to decide when you've made enough money.
It's good. That's how he likes it.
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Yeah.
Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we had that allowed you to thrive.
Yeah.
Somebody invested in roads and bridges.
If you got a business, you didn't build that.
No.
Somebody else made that happen.
That's right.
Fuck right.
Oh, people do.
How many people gave you handouts growing up?
You had great parents who supported you.
You had great teachers who taught you.
You had great roads in California.
Right? Right?
Adam, is that how you made your money?
I'll tell you,
when I see these migrant caravans
walking here from Honduras
and I see them just going down the lonely
strip of blacktop. I go that's
That's a lot better than the shit. We got in, California
I just I don't look at the migrants. I look at the road and I go that's a nicely paved piece of road
I wish we had that in Burbank. Maybe our taxes aren't high enough
California well what we need to do is tack a little on to the a
California well what we need to do is tack a little on to the a
Gallon of gas right so that we can I was looking at gas last night. We're back at six bucks. Oh, yeah Oh, yeah, yeah, but don't worry that money's going into the roads a homeless or the homeless
Oh wait the lottery is going into the schools
Yeah, I'm trying to think of where that money goes where it's supposed to go when he just said was insidious and fucking horrible
And I I don't think enough people stop
and really dissect him.
That is a horrific thing to say.
You didn't build it yourself.
Same to all the small business people you didn't build it.
And by the way, if you didn't build it yourself,
then good, we can rape your business.
We can take the money.
It's literally the opposite message of what you're saying.
Of the United States.
Yes, yes.
But yet, yet people see, look, I mean, to me,
the worst Obama statement of all time was his wife.
And this is something I think I'll never forgive her for.
But when he was about to get the nomination,
she was introducing him and she said,
for the first time in my life,
I am proud of this country.
All right.
That statement struck me right up to the bone.
There's something wrong with those two.
And there's a thing that I keep sort of circling back to.
It's my sort of Gavin Newsom conundrum.
There's something wrong with Gavin Newsom.
And there's something wrong with Michelle Obama,
and there's something wrong with Barack Obama,
and nobody seems to think about it,
or drill down on it, or have a thing.
It sort of reminds me when I was explaining
that Fauci was compromised all those years ago,
and you're like, he's doing his job.
That's how they sort of feel about those two. There's
a sort of worship and it's sad and a lot of it is aesthetic, just because that's the way
we're wired as human beings. But people don't really stop and think about the things that
these people are saying. And yes, for the the the wife says for the first time ever
I'm proud to be an American and the husband is saying you didn't build it yourself
If you have a business these are insidious things to say these are horrible
these are things horrible people would say and they just keep moving along and
Nothing ever sticks and no one ever asked the question and they're just the belle of the ball. And it's a kind of Gavin Newsome thing.
He says insane things, he doesn't make sense,
they don't track, I don't even know what he's talking about
three quarters of the time, yet he just sails along.
And is it that the populace is that,
I don't wanna say uninformed,
because it's not really about that.
They don't have the ability to spot
Hucksters and shysters and flim-flam artists like they don't
You should look at a guy like Gavin Newsom and be repulsed and yet they look at him and go he's got my vote
Well, there's no press there to expose. That's it. It's true
Yeah, because you're because remember they're viewing all these things through the press. They're not seeing the raw footage. They're seeing it through New York Times, CNN, NBC, and that's being filtered and spun.
And that's the only acts they have to that, and they're only hearing the spin on it.
A lot of people like Richard Nixon, until the press went at him and exposed some stuff.
Yeah.
And then they're like, okay, well, maybe he's not who we thought he was.
And we don't have that.
We have nothing like that
Which is are they gonna ride then they're gonna ride this one into the sunset with the next election the press, right?
What do you mean? They're just gonna keep going status quo. Why would they change? What incentive are you giving them to change? Well, there was
In their business there was their business models
There was a lot of discussion. I don't know, a year ago about CNN kind of changing its ways,
new leadership, you know.
In the meantime, they're selling their building in Atlanta.
Oh really?
The building with the big CNN in front of it.
Right.
No, moving out.
Yeah, Jim Crow 2.0 or Jim Eagle or what was that?
What caused the Jim Eagle?
What caused the sale of the building?
Yeah, well what I'm saying is,
is they've lost their business model to some degree.
They gave birth to the Gutfelds and the Tucker Carlson's
and even the Joe Rogans and all that kinds of thing.
They've birthed them.
They birthed everybody.
Everyone is stealing now market share
and nobody cares what,
no, I don't really even believe what CNN says anymore,
but any more than I would believe with the LA Times
or the New York Times would have to say anymore
about anybody.
And there seems like there was some discussion
about some course correction maybe about a year ago.
Now I think with the election looming,
they're all in.
Now they're not there now.
I mean, they had a leader that came in for about a year
whose mantra was, we're going to de-politicize
or at least move it toward the center.
And by the way, I was a viewer of CNN.
I used to toggle back between Fox and CNN.
I was on CNN for 10 years.
You were, that's right.
It's like dumb to you.
Um, for that reason.
No, no, it was a different reason, but it looked like that reason, but they were
so, they, but they were so interested in dumping me, they wouldn't let me get back
on the air to explain what had happened.
So, um, cause then they were upset.
That's what, okay, fine.
Right.
Um, no, they, they, they, and then they, they went hard left and I was like, I just can't, I try to watch it because I do try to be as informed as possible.
Everybody's opinions. I just couldn't get through it. You know, a segment who's so bad. It did get better. It did that one year did get better. And then they dumped him, brought a new person in for the New York Times, and they're not as bad as they were,
but they're definitely trending in the wrong direction.
Well, NBC and MSNBC, but NBC tried to bring on
Rona McDaniel, that's too many names in my head now,
but then they all just had a fit on air.
They cover themselves with glory on that one.

But he has an entire show. He's not just a commentator. He has his own show. He's okay.
Yes. Yeah. And he also, these people, whether it's them or the good ladies from The View,
