He's really tapped into all the Sun fun and fan
We came to the local margaritaville check out the local culture
The next episode of the commercial break starts now.
It's so dirty in the morning.
Oh yeah, Kath and Kitten, welcome back to the commercial break.
I'm Brian Green.
This is my dear friend and the cohost of this show, Kristin Joy Hoadley.
Best to you, Kristin.
Best to you, Brian.
And best to you out there in the podcast universe.
Thanks for joining us.
I'm just reading about the Hak-To-A girl.
Yes.
Hak-To-A.
Yeah. Hak-To- Yes. Hakatua!
What?
It's still playing.
Oh, it's still playing.
Oh, okay, sorry.
I was gonna play it for everybody.
And then, okay, I'll see if I can get it up here.
But this girl, for those of you that don't know,
here's the interview, okay.
And I'm gonna play this.
This is Tim and DTV.
She's all over the socials.
If you haven't heard this interview yet,
let me play a little bit for you.
I'll turn down the annoying music in the background.
I'll turn down the obnoxious music in the background.
Here she is.
I'm trying to get over one, it's get under another.
Amen.
So, say you got a side piece.
Maybe, maybe I got three, maybe I got seven.
How many is on your roster?
There's only four in that one.
There's two girls in here.
So how many you got on your roster right now?
Maybe four.
She said one.
How many you got on your roster?
None.
You trying to add one to it?
Add one? Yeah, you trying to add one to it? Add one?
Yeah, you're trying to add one more to it?
Is that you?
Yeah, that's me.
Maybe, I don't know.
So I can get your number?
Yeah, you can.
Okay.
There you go.
You got it?
There you go.
So I'll explain in a second.
I got one more for you.
I got one more for you.
It's a good question.
It's like, you gotta make it good.
Leave a message to your last body.
My last body?
Yeah.
I miss you.
Come back. You got some good questions. Like, you gotta make it good. Leave a message to your last body.
My last body?
Yeah.
I miss you.
Come back.
You miss him.
Yeah, pretty much.
You're doing these little things.
I can't.
Hold on.
Let's get to the hoctua girl.
Yeah, I know.
I can't.
That's like the whole one again.
Here she comes.
Hold on.
Leave a message to your last body.
I love you, Pookie, forever.
This is the hoctua girl.
They, they're so cute.
I love you, Pookie, forever. I love you, Pookie, forever. I love you, Pookie, forever. I love you, Pookie, forever. I love you, Pookie, forever. Hold on. Leave a message to your last body.
I love you Pookie forever.
This is the hock tour girl. They must be doing the right thing.
What can I say?
Okay.
If the car whips off it's safe.
How are you posting it?
I'm waiting.
Come on.
So.
That fat she got.
Hurry up, turn around, let me see. You're fucking lying.
So you're really playing the whole one.
Yeah.
Can we have a 360?
Her dad must be proud.
I know.
Can you give us a 360?
It's a flat-out girl.
Flat-out.
This guy interviewing two girls.
Okay, so yeah, let me, it's hard to, because there's so much background noise, it's hard,
but let me explain to you so that we don't have to listen to this for another 15 minutes.
He's interviewing, it's basically man on the street.
Yeah.
Got to interview him.
He's in Nashville, I believe.
No, Texas.
Oh, Austin, Texas.
Something like that.
Something like that.
He's in Austin, he's wherever he is.
Okay.
Or maybe they're in Nashville, but she's from Texas.
We don't know any of the information.
She's from Texas.
She's from Texas.
He comes up, he starts interviewing.
Obviously they've been having a good time.
They're a little bit inebriated.
And the two girls start,
he starts asking questions related to their sex life.
He asks how many bodies they have,
how many they have on call right now.
What's on their roster?
Is it Michael Anthony-like?
Is it 17 or is it one or is it zero?
One of them says one or zero.
And then the other one says, I don't know,
four, seven, who knows? And then he goes, no, seriously, how many are on there? Four.
Okay. Whatever. Cool. And then he starts asking questions like, you know, what do you do?
What's a good thing for a man that drives him wild? And she yells, hock to it.
She yells hock to it like she's spitting a loogie.
And then she says, hock to it. She yells, hock to it, like she's spitting a loogie. And then she says, spit on that thing.
Yeah, spit on that thing.
So millions and millions and millions
and millions and millions of views later.
Now everybody has an opinion on the hock to it girl.
Oh yeah, everybody.
She's got the last laugh and I'll share with you why.
She just sold in just a couple of days,
$65,000 worth of hats that have the word Hak'tu'a on it.
And she partnered with a company, Fathead,
I think is who she partnered with.
She partnered with Fathead, they made a hat
that said Hak'tu'a, a couple different versions of the hat.
She signed some of them.
Yeah, merch. Merch.
She's doing crazy merch.
Well, she got fired from her teaching job.
I would imagine that would be the case.
Yeah, she got fired from her teaching job.
I mean, it's not the most flattering interview ever,
but God bless America. Yeah teaching job. I mean, it's not the most flattering interview ever, but God bless America.
Wow.
I know.
You get famous for saying hactua and make 65 grand.
I'm sure you have to split that in some way, shape or form.
But okay, let's say you made half, 32.5.
You made 32.5.
Yes, I saw some projected that she was gonna make millions.
Well, that's just- Or sell millions.
That's her teaching salary right there.
Yeah, I know.
32.5 thousand.
It's literally insane to me
that a man on the street interview,
and I say man on the street, that's just a term for it,
man on the street interview turns her into
like this mini celebrity status
that then she's making a bunch of money off of,
two words that she said, hactua.
Spent on that thing.
Spent on that thing.
So there's lots, so now, yes, you can imagine
the late nights hosts are having a great time with it.
The comedians are having a great time.
Every podcast in the entire world has talked about it.
We're the last to do it.
We do, you heard it here last.
You heard it here last, hactua, kids.
I was reading that Howard Stern had some opinions
about this.
And basically what I read it, I didn't hear it,
but basically what he said was,
I am glad that's not my daughter.
From Howard fucking Stern, Howard fucking Stern,
man have things changed.
I guess you saw it from your old age,
because wasn't Howard Stern having people ride the Sibian
up until like 10 years ago?
Yeah, exactly. Had every stripper ever.
Every stripper ever.
And would talk, yes.
Fake or real, Sal and whoever the other one are,
you know, Sal and Richard,
they're always in there licking each other's balls
or some weird shit and you know,
the fastest comer contest, who had the most poop.
I mean, like the amazing amount of crass and incredibly
in politically correct stunts that they have done over the years and Howard has encouraged
or in some way done over the years. And then the hock to a girl gets him. The hock to a
girl got you Howard. That's what changed your mind. Really? I mean, listen, the king, he's
the king, you know, I think the whole podcast industry may
have, Howard may have had some influence and responsibility for the whole podcast industry
because he just was one who started talking for hours and hours in a way that wasn't political
or had to do with Jesus or whatever the AM stations were doing. He really made this brand
of kind of media popular.
This talking forever, this incessant nonsense
that we do here on this commercial break.
In some ways, Shape Perform probably finds its roots
in Howard and he was as rowdy as it gets.
And especially when he got to Sirius Satellite.
And now the Haktua girl is bothering him.
That's the most surprising thing about the Haktua girl
to me is that Howard Stern is against it.
He's like.
Yeah, that broke the back.
Yeah, but as a father of daughters,
I do have to say, if that was my daughter,
I would be like, honey, honey,
that's gonna live on the internet forever.
You don't do the man on the street interview
when you're drunk. Or if that's your mom
10 years from now that was the hoctua girl.
Oh, God.
True story.
Thank God there were not cameras in every person's hand when you and I were teenagers.
Thank God.
Because I certainly would have been unemployable.
I still am.
Yeah, we both are now.
I certainly would have been unemployable
and how much shenanigans would have been caught on camera
if a camera was around.
It's a whole other world having to deal with that.
It's a landmine filled world.
Now, there's some positive that came with this.
I mean, she lost her job, but you're a teacher, young lady.
I don't even know what your name is, but you're a teacher. And I can understand how parents might be upset that you're
giving like sexually explicit, you know, point of view interviews on while you're drunk in some town.
Also, it just so happened that that video went viral, fast viral. Yeah, like fast viral. You
can't be the teacher of elementary school kids
when you're giving advice to the world
on how to hock-a-loogie on a dick.
That's some reason it just doesn't jive.
You know what I'm saying?
It's so funny too, the things,
because Jeff showed this to me a few days ago,
and he was like, you know, every day he's been like,
has Brian brought it up?
Has Brian bought it up?
Oh, really?
No.
Jeff was curious if I bought up the Hawk To A Girl?
Yeah, because he was all over his social feeds
and so he told me about it.
And it's so funny too, some of the things
that people are lamenting about.
Lamenting about, yeah.
Lamenting about.
They're like, no, seriously, in all seriousness,
the Hawk To A Girl is very free sexually
and I admire her.
Okay.
And there's a lot of different viewpoints coming out.
We have said so many things that are way past what this girl did. She just happened to have
hit viral. Like we will never.
And capitalized on it. Good for her. That's smart. Because you only get the moment. Because
next week it's going gonna be something different. Oh, next week it's something totally different.
I wish that I could just get the,
I wish I could just get the actual Hawk to a,
hold on one second.
Okay, here we go.
Okay, here we go.
You gotta give him that Hawk to
and spit on that thing.
You get me?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's it.
Cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching, cha-ching. Every time a real plays a fairy gets her spitty dick.
Hey, listen, cool.
Sweet.
I, you know, I wonder which, but I read also that some people started to speculate that
she had like, now she had a big time agent at UTA or WME or one of these big agencies out there.
That apparently is not true.
What I just read is that it's not true.
She's not being represented.
But there are people speculating out there that she could get like Hollywood could come
a-knockin'.
I could eat Hollywood.
Hollywood.
Hollywood.
Let's not go that far.
What?
The document, the latest documentary on Hulu?
Yeah, exactly. The rise and the fall of Haak'tua girl.
Or let's put it another way, Real Housewives of Haak'tua.
I think that's more like it. I could see a reality show where they just follow this girl around and
she goes from bar to bar giving advice.
Oh, well, they do a reality show for anything.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that's possible.
Yeah. Speaking of reality shows, okay, so Hark to a Girl, check it out. Maybe Christina
could put a link to the video. And good for her. You know what? I have no problems with it.
No?
No problems with it because we talk a lot worse in the worst of our episodes. Like,
in the lamest of our episodes, we say things that are 10 times the worst.
of our episodes, like in the lamest of our episodes, we say things that are 10 times the worst. Speaking of reality show, it's very interesting. I, there is a lady here
in Atlanta, just north of Atlanta, speaking of Lake Linear. Remember we talked about Lake
Life, Lake Linear, it's a huge lake. There's a lot of different, there's a lot of different
sections, you know, some are more redneckies, some are more ritzy,
some are just somewhere in between,
some are pure Ibiza.
Like the Mississippi Ibiza, you know what I'm saying?
Like the Louisiana.
It's just, there's a Margaritaville
that's about 78 acres here at Lake Lanier. That should tell you
all you need to know about Lake Lanier. But it's a lot of fun. And I had my Lake Lanier moment.
I did too.
Yeah, everyone. I think if you live in Atlanta, you've got a Lake Lanier. You just do it.
So in, but there's also some parts of Lake Lanier that are really like out there.
There's nobody out there. You know, there's trailer parks and, you know.
If you look at it when you're flying over it, you know, whenever you're on the windows, it's mostly flying over it.
Yeah. And it's huge. It's huge. There's so many sections.
Yeah. And it's a manmade Lake.
It was made by the army Corps of engineers. They damned the river,
the Chattahoochee river. I think they damned the Chattahoochee river and, um,
just covered up whole towns that were under the Lake and they're still there to
this day. They're still sitting in stasis, essentially, out there today. Take a walk, take a walk, put it there, Lake Linear, string bikinis Add a little bit of cocaine. And an ayahuasca trip or two.
And wha-bam!
60-year-old women.
Acting like teenagers.
Yagermeister.
Yager bomb.
Ooh, it's quantum science.
Makes you drunk 2.7 times faster.
Your heart will race, but you'll feel like you want to puke. It's amazing.
Jaeger bombs make the G-strings come off.
Definitely the top.
Oh yeah, top song. Chee-chee's out. What is it? Chee-chee's up? But don't get it twisted.
The guys are just as dumb.
Oh yeah.
How do I know?
I was one of them.
Okay, there we go.
So, I read this very interesting story the other day.
It's very interesting, kind of sad actually.
And so I'll share the lighthearted part about this and we'll get into how this has to do
with reality television.
The Cherokee or whatever county police officers get a phone call to do a welfare check on
an older lady, like a lady in her 80s.
They go up toward the lake, they're at a campground, they find this old lady, she's in some kind
of state of disarray and there's other people with her, a man and a woman.
And the lady is apparently in some kind of shape and the officers say,
well, you know, are you okay? Do you want us to take you somewhere? Do you want us to
do something? And she says, no, or the, the, excuse me, the lady who is with her says,
no, I'm her daughter. I'll take care of it. We're going to take her back to the house.
Fast forward to two days later, they come back because someone has complained about
someone screaming from a tent and they find this older
lady tied up, tied up, sitting in her own urine in a tent, it's 900 degrees here in Atlanta,
sitting in a tent near the lake and apparently the woman, her daughter, had put her in the tent
and tied her up and left her there.
Jesus, wow.
Crazy. Terrible story, right? You know, elderly abuse and all the other stuff that you can think of.
So Brian decides he's going to, I decide, I'm not going to talk to the third person,
I decide I'm going to go do a little internet rabbit hole on this one.
Let me see who this lady is.
Maybe we know her, right?
She's older than us, but not by a ton, you know?
And I'm like, maybe we know her.
She looks familiar to me.
Her face looks familiar.
Let me do a hunt on her name.
And so when I search her name, I find out that yes, we have interacted with this lady before. I
don't know where, I don't know how- The older lady?
No, the daughter. The daughter.
Yeah. I don't know where, I don't know how, and I'm not going to share her name here on here
because I don't want doxing or any of that other bullshit. Innocent until proven guilty,
though it looks pretty terrible. And when I hit on her website, she is the founder of this media company. The media company
has put together a reality show, I guess is the best way to put it. This lady is going to go all
around the country and she's going to talk to people about what makes America great. Get it?
Got it? Good. So there's like four episodes that she's
had slickly produced. I mean like very high production values, slickly produced. I have
never seen someone so terrible on camera in my entire life. This lady is a stiff plastic
board. The things that she says like in the interludes and in the interviews and all this, it is Chrissy.
It is so fucking funny to me. And I'm thinking to myself, where in the world did this reality
television show or this whatever you call it, adventure show, where in the world was this shown?
And it, cause it says, you know, now available on this particular.tv.
I thought to myself, what is that? Like, I have lots of channels on my television. I've
never seen that channel, right? Or maybe I just haven't paid attention to it. It's not
a channel. It's not.tv. It's.herownwebsite. She basically is running this on her own website.
And I thought to myself, what a desperate attempt.
You spend all of this money to put out a reality show.
And listen, I know this happens on a daily basis,
that people put together television shows
that never get picked up by anybody.
But there's reasons why this television show
was never picked up by anybody.
It is terrible from top to bottom.
Do you want to hear a little bit of it?
Sure.
You want to hear a little bit of it? Okay. You want to hear a little bit of it?
OK, let's do this.
Why don't we take a break, and then I'll load it up here.
And then you and I can take a listen to the first episode,
and we'll just break it down just a little bit.
And, uh, you know, whatever.
Maybe we share her name.
Maybe we don't.
We'll figure it out.
OK, let's take a break, and we'll be back.
Hi.
No, you're not dreaming.
And yes, this is a new promo.
See, I made you wait.
And now look how happy you are.
I know.
I know you're smiling.
Anyway, since we're here, why don't you just hop on over to Instagram and give us a follow
at the commercial break.
Seriously, please.
It's getting hard for me to listen to Brian and Chrissy Begg.
So just follow us on Instagram.
Again, that's at the commercial break.
You can also follow us on TikTok at TCB Podcast.
And of course, you know where to go for all things TCB.

It's Sophia Franklin, and if you don't already know,
listen up.
My mini series is live now each and every Monday
and the only person missing is you.
We're dating, we're dumping, we're learning,
and we're tapping into all the feels
that originally brought us together.
Listen and follow Sophia with an F on the Odyssey app
or wherever you got your podcasts.
Okay, here we go. We're talking about,
so there was a terrible incident up at Lake Linear.
I Googled one of the women that was involved
in this incident because I thought
that she looked familiar to me.
And I do believe we have met this person before.
When I got to the website where it had more information about her, it showed this like
paid for reality television show that this person had put together.
And let's take a little, let's take a little gander at what probably $200,000 get you.
You ready?
Yeah.
All right. Let's see here.
Lots of pictures of her, lots of pictures of her at the beach. I think it's just an excuse to go down to the beach and film something. Jimmy's hula's. Jimmy's hula's. Where's that? I don't know. Some time down in Florida, I'm sure. Fabric of America.
Fabric of America.
You hear like an eagle screaming in the background.
I'm here in beautiful Florida. sun, fun, endless summer.
Sun, fun, endless summer.
Oh, God, her voice already.
Yeah.
That's a three season today.
Experience in beach time, adventure in R&R. I'm going to ring nut by hanging out in the
local habitat.
I'm going to ring nut?
What did she say?
I don't know.
I don't know.
It's so bad.
I mean, but the videography is beautiful.
It is beautiful.
Yeah.
Very professional.
Very professional.
Head over to one of the coolest surf shops for some local artistry and learn more about
the local ecosystem and whatever.
Yeah, there's no emotion in the voice.
Local artistry.
Where?
The surf shop has local artistry?
What is she talking about?
Has to offer and maybe even catch a big one. For local artistry. Where? The surf shop has local artistry? What is she talking about?
Has to offer. And maybe even catch a big one.
Oh, I bet you could have got a few big ones.
What's the point?
There is no point. And here's the thing. The music just keeps on going on forever.
Yeah, she's showcasing herself going to the beach is basically what this is.
It's a beach showcase.
My name is Gretchen.
Uh, you do do do do do do. We'll fast forward through that just a little bit
because I do not want to give her any more press than she already has.
All right, there we go.
My passion for America takes me all around the country where I visit the people, places,
and experiences that-
People, places, and things.
... the real America. I started a movement where I celebrate the people making it happen
every day.
A movement?
What movement did you start? You celebrate the people doing it every day? What is that?
Could you get more platypathy?
I'm starting a movement, right?
Celebrate people breathing every day.
Those moments that epitomize the American dream.
Those moments.
This really looks like an everyday thing
that people can do all the time.
Yeah, this looks like a family vacation to Panama City is what this looks like.
First of all, second of all, this looks like 30 minutes of 2 30 in the morning television
on your local ABC station where they pay for it. Yeah.
Listen to the music just goes on and on and on.
She's just like, there's no break from it.
The fabric of America is being woven every day.
Now I'm on the ultimate road trip across America to share the American made story.
Listen, I have a great idea. What if I, what if I unweave the fabric of America every day? And are you going
to be in this show? Of course. I am starting a movement of people that are doing it.
It's every day.
Every day. Thank you, Chrissy.
I'm Philia, and I invite you to join me in discovering the fabric of America.
So it's just her taking a road trip?
It's just her basically-
Going into stores?
Yeah, it's her filming her-
And surfing?
It's again, it's her filming her beach trip and then putting obnoxious music behind it
for 15 minutes.
No offense to the musician, but I don't think this is how you intended this music to be
used.
I'm Gretchen Filiat.
Yeah, yeah.
You Smyrna Beach where it's sun and fun, but it's also a sense of community.
What beach?
Smyrna.
This is the fabric of America.
Here comes the music.
It's playing again.
And it is showing repetition.
Repeated. Here comes the music, it's playing again. And it is showing repetition of her walking down a pier and then at the beach and then
in a shop.
Yeah, shop, beach, pier.
Shop, beach, pier.
Shop, beach, pier.
Let's go on that rotation.
My first stop is North Florida, New Smyrna Beach.
I'm cashing up with my good friend Matt Dab-
I'm cashing up with my new friend, Day-Bang.
Matt is an influencer in the surf community
and he's been a part of the North Florida lifestyle
and surf culture for many years.
He has the hookup to the area and the people.
Want more?
Sweet, dude.
Surf's the through.
No shade on Matt here.
She's like, I really wanna hook up with Matt,
so I decided to feature him. She's like, I really want to hook up with Matt. So I decided to feature him.
I come down to North Florida and have sex with Matt.
He's been part of the North Florida community
for four months and he's got, he's really tapped in.
He's really tapped into all the sun, fun and fan.
We came to the local margaritaville to check out the local culture.
I brought my iPhone.
Matt's really tuned into the waves.
Ask for it from a host, so I'm ready to see what North Florida has to offer.
Wow, it just looks like a whole fun
fucking shits and giggles down there.
Oysters, and shopping, and...
Shots.
Surfing, yeah, shots.
Actually, I'm pretty jealous.
I'm pretty jealous.
So I know New Smyrna Beach. You know, it's a different environment. It just has a certain
magic about it. Yeah, I've been coming out here since I was a kid. It just has a certain
Is that your old Honda?
Yes, it is. That is my old Honda. I'm assuming Matt's not making a ton
of bank on that surfing. That's okay, Matt. I love you, bro. I'm not, it's not about you,
bro. Don't worry about it. I appreciate anyone who does surfing for a living. That's cool.
I like that. That's better than the podcasting.
Lauren Ruffin Showing this Honda parked on the beach.
Honda's parked on the beach. He's using the mirror to put on sunscreen. Not the mirror in the car.
The rear...
The side mirror.
I'm coming down to North Florida. It's got a real magic to it.
Which can be said about any place.
You know what I'm saying?
Where's Anthony Bourdain when you need him?
Every day I miss Anthony Moore.
Oh, I miss him too.
... brought me out here during vacations and things and started surfing pretty young.
I asked to beg my parents to bring me over here on the weekends.
Hi.
What's that movie? So, you know bring me over here on the weekends
What's that movie Mars attacks
Like i'm gonna live here someday for sure
Founded along the atlantic ocean beach towns were the mecca of florida and everyone flocked here
Great historical perspective Founded along the oceans, the beach towns.
Founded along the ocean, the beach towns.
Flourished?
You gotta be kidding me.
Oh man, I guess this beach town I'm setting up right down the street ain't gonna work
out.
200 miles inland.
Damn.
He should have gone along the ocean. Yeah, just wait 50 years. It'll be here. It's inland. Damn. He should have gone along the ocean.
Yeah, just wait 50 years. It'll be here. It's coming.
Quantum physics!
I'm exploring another side of New Smyrna. A new generation-
I'm exploring another side of New Smyrna. The drug culture.
I wish.
I'm here with local crack dealer, Method Bob. Bob, New Smyrna Beach
cocaine has a real magic to it. New Smyrna. Found it along the beach. These drugs taste extra good with a cocktail from the margarita. This is what
you get for leaving an old lady in a tent. You're crazy.
Oh my God.
Surfers are remaking the surf culture.
The surfers are remaking the surf culture.
Are the surfers really remaking the surf culture? Is that what's going on? Who else would remake
the surf culture? What was the usual suspect? I'm talking to my local mortician friend,
Sal. He's remaking the surf culture by making surfboards out of dead people. Amazing. This is the life.
All right, I'm moving down here.
I just want to tell you, in scene number four, great commentary.
Really breaking it down there for us.
Which idiot doesn't want to live in the beach on blue water?
New Smyrna was the shark capital of the world, but what I see is-
It's the short capital of the world or the shark capital of the world?
Because I think she said short, because that could be true too.
I'm not sure.
I mean, shark capital of the world, New Smyrna?
I think it is actually.
I think she might be right about that.
Yeah.
They come in every year to eat.
Maybe that's why there's a new culture happening.
Yes, there's a new culture happening. Yes, there's a new culture happening.
It's called avoid getting eaten by a shark.
The water warms up and the sharks have to eat people to stay alive.
And it's people and I think it's pretty amazing.
And it's people.
It's pretty amazing.
Her vocabulary is like mine.
It's a community.
It makes all the difference.
So you guys, you can see that the town has that and it makes a big difference.
Yeah.
That's what?
Yeah, not sure what you're saying, but that's, that tracks.
That tracks.
That's what?
I don't know. See, that's the thing is these are non sequiturs. What is she saying exactly?
She's saying that, you know, she's like...
There's a community?
There's a real community and you can tell that when you go into the community
I mean, we've got so many local businesses here and that's really which town does not have local businesses
Which town tell me?
Oh
Focus is to keep it local and for all those businesses that support one another
through the local tourism that we get every year,
you know, people on the beach,
being able to drive their car.
That's why Matt and I have decided to-
People on the beach.
People.
And that's why Matt and I have decided
to go to the local Applebee's
and support the local community.
It's two dollar bubble readers.
Five to seven.
That's something that makes this place really stand out and also supports the local business.
I don't disagree. I've been to New Smarter Beach. It's an amazing place. It really is.
I just don't like if no one had ever been there, someone had never been there, I'm not sure these descriptions would send you running.
I've never been to New Smarta Beach.
Well, Chrissy, you are missing out. There's a real sense of magic and community there.
And the surfers are reshaping the surf landscape.
You're going to tell me why it's called the shark capital of the world.
Well, mainly because we have more sharks than anybody else.
Yeah, take a wild guess.
Hard hitting in-depth questions coming at you.
Well I think there's like a perfect ecosystem here for sharks.
There's a lot of fish, bait fish.
There's a lot of water.
It's salty, which I guess the sharks are into, so.
Throughout the year, a lot of them,
even more so now, are going inside the inlet and mating,
and then that's where we have a huge influx.
Multiplying.
I know I saw the picture. I know I saw the picture.
I know I saw a picture.
Dead cut.
Dead cut.
There's an edit right there.
I know I saw a picture of sharks in the National Geographic magazine.
Ready to multiply.
You were surrounded by just tons of sharks.
I kind of call them the puppies.
They're just like little pups, two, maybe three foot. And yeah, when we got that shot, we had no idea there was going to be like 50 of sharks. Yeah, I kind of call them the puppies. They're just like little pups, two, maybe three foot.
And yeah, when we got that shot, we had no idea there was going to be like 50 of them
coming out.
If I would have known that, I wouldn't have been there.
If I would have known that, I probably would have headed in the other direction toward
the land part of New Smyrna, which is beautiful too.
They just showed an image and there was a lot of sharks around that guy.
We didn't even know that.
Yeah.
The little pups were surrounding me.
Little pups.
I mean, I don't mean to make, you know, listen, it's dangerous.
Puppies have the sharpest teeth.
Did you know that?
On spring break from all up north and they come down here and will obviously get in the
water.
When it gets a little murky, that's when I think sharks mistake us for fish.
And that's why people lose a lot of limbs down here.
But it's part of the sense of community we have.
It's magic.
It's magic.
And you always keep in the back of your mind.
Right.
But especially, we're not ack-ack.
We see them, which is almost every time we get out there.
Talking about surf culture, I mean, it's crazy how it's such a big piece of new Smyrna Beach.
There's a whole other world of fantastic, world-renowned surfers that are doing amazing things
and you know again you're a big surf influencer so tell us about that culture.
So...
So do you know which room I'm staying in?
Surf influencer.
Oh my god.
And the brothers and sisters that come together for one purpose and take care of each other.
Yeah, they come together for one purpose.
A bunch of us surfers get together to play Pee-Nuckle every Thursday.
A lot of us are missing limbs, but it's all good.
It's all good.
We got a new pursuit.
We're reshaping the surfing culture by teaching them how to play p-nuckle.
Soak to be a part of it and bless to be a part of it.
Oh my God, this music, you got to just it down. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh.
Sounds like a B-side.
So I'm out here with professional surfer, Shay Lopez.
So what's it like to live in New Smyrna?
Living in New Smyrna is a perfect land.
I have three daughters and so I get to surf
when the big storms come through.
They get to enjoy waves like this pretty much all summer.
And then there's a lot of kids that have parents that don't surf that I coach and I train that have aspirations being pro
surf themselves. And then it's a lot of fun. It's really cool to see that.
So go www.surfshane.com.org.fl. Sign up for your camp. Yeah.
Well, it's a great place to learn how to serve. And from obviously a world player.
So awesome.
World player.
A world player.
I think she's like the female Joe Biden.
It's the perfect blend of serve culture and community.
There's something magic happening here in New Smyrna Beach.
That is the fifth time she has heard the word magic. Yeah. And community culture and community. There's something magic happening here in New Smyrna Beach. And I try-
That is the fifth time she has heard the word magic.
Yeah.
Get here any chance I can.
And community.
And community.
And surf.
And surf.
So far, what I know about New Smyrna
is there's surfers there.
Yeah, exactly.
Surf culture is alive and well,
but what really sells this area are its people,
the places, the experiences that I won't forget.
I won't forget.
Yeah, you just documented your vacation.
Yeah, you just went on vacation.
I'm talking to some surfers.
Talked to a bunch of hot surfers.
Yeah.
And then said, I won't forget.
Oh, God.
I was here in the winter.
It was absolutely beautiful, I didn't want to leave.
Because I mean you've got the natural environment, I mean it's just stunning and that's what
we're going to see today.
We're going to go out into the ecosystem, I'm really excited about that.
So how was the surf session?
She's back to surfing.
So how was the surfing?
We're going to go on in the ecosystem.
What I really like about nature is nature. Yeah, it's outside.
But also, the local mall is pretty great too.
Super fun.
So we're gonna kind of surprise this again.
I thought it would be better yesterday
and actually ended up being a lot better today.
So always a good time, the best way to wake up.
Wow. Well, thank God we're down there.
My next stop is Jimmy who lives in Port Orange. I'm looking out with some good friends here and
I've heard it's food near Vana. So I'm very excited to try it out.
There's tacos, burger, beer.
Tacos, burgers and beer. Every other beach bar ever.
Yeah.
I've never been here.
I'm sure it's lovely.
I'm just sharing with you that every beach bar ever has the same menu.
And it all tastes much better when you're looking at the ocean.
That's just my opinion, but whatever.
Hi guys, I'm Jose C. Puentes and I'm one of the owners of Jimmy Hill. What's up, Jose?
Hey guys, we used to sit down and talk to me.
I'm doing this.
Hi guys.
I'm self-funding this documentary about my vacation.
My dad is funding this documentary.
We're about $100,000 in. And so far, we've just got surfers.
I'm with Jenny Hillis.
Thank you.
I can't wait to try all the food.
I love visiting the places where the owners are involved in every step of the process.
Process.
Wow, you have some amazing videos.
I'm going to put them up on YouTube.
I'm going to put them up on YouTube.
I'm going to put them up on YouTube.
I'm going to put them up on YouTube.
I'm going to put them up on YouTube.

What do you recommend?
Wow, you have some amazing things on the menu.
Take again.
Take two.
Wow.
Take three.
Wow, you menu.
Take four.
Magic menu.
I got that one messed up.
Let me try again.
Two pass picado, that's awesome, it's avocado grilled,
we have tuna pokey on it, it's really good.
I wanna try that, but hey, I want to go to the kitchen
and learn how to make it, can we do that?
Sure, we can do that, yeah, I'm down.
Okay.
Wow. This is awful. Wow.
This is fascinatingly bad, actually.
You gotta give people a break from that fucking music.
That's crazy. Does that go on all
four episodes? I don't know. I only made it for
the first ten minutes of the first one.
For sure. Alright, let's take a break and
I don't know, maybe we'll review more. Maybe we'll just talk about
something else altogether. We'll be back.
What's up, haters? I don't know, maybe we'll review more. Maybe we'll just talk about something else altogether. But we'll be back.
What's up haters?

Bye.
All right, so there's been some big drama
around my house lately,
and it's because of a television show go figure.
It is the Wheel of Fortune.
Wheel of Fortune of Fortune.
The Wheel of Fortune, for those of you who may not know,
Pat Sajak, after 40 years of producing and hosting The
Wheel of Fortune has taken a step down.
He's retired from his position and his last episode was a couple of weeks ago.
Vanna White, who has been on the show almost every episode with Pat Sajak, was never paid
anywhere near what Pat Sajak was paid.
Of course. Of course.
Of course, right? And she doesn't do talking on the show. She almost never talks, I mean,
at least in the older episode, she almost never talks in the show. She spins the letters.
That's what she does. That's her job. But she could arguably be probably, I actually
say she might be just as much a part of the success, if not more part of the
success. Because there was a time in the 90s, like late 80s, 90s, when I was a kid, when it was
all Vanna White all the time. It's all anybody could talk about was Vanna White, Vanna White,
Vanna White. She's obviously a stunningly beautiful woman. And she has stayed with it,
stuck with it for 40 years. So when Pat announced his retirement last year, I'm just kidding, I'm just getting you up to speed. When Pat announced his retirement last year,
the company who produces the Wheel of Fortune asked Vanna to stay on while they transitioned
into the new host. So there's something familiar there. And Vanna said, I will stay on if you pay
me more than Pat Sajak has made in the last couple of years. And they said noowski Good. Jared Slauson And they said no, and then they went back and forth
and back and forth and back and forth, and she finally signed another two-year contract.
So the assumption could be that, while the details aren't specifically known,
the assumption is that she got paid at least as much as Pat did for his seasons of Wheel of
Fortune the last couple of years, if not more. Good for her. It's finally time that she cashes
in on this. Though, Vanna, I think, was the more popular of the two hosts. If you call them both hosts,
she was for many years, no one talked about Pat Sajak. They all talked about Vanna White,
even though she didn't do any talking on the show. And so, Vanna has now gone into production with
the new host of Wheel of Fortune, who is Ryan
Seacrest.
Oh, that's right.
I saw he was going to join.
Of course.
He's everywhere.
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable, this guy.
This guy making the rest of us look like assholes.
Here I am thinking I'm a Christ on the cross for doing four episodes of this stupid show
a week.
And Ryan Seacrest has a radio show, he's doing American Idol,
he was doing that television show with Kelly for a while,
you know, Ryan and Kelly.
Didn't he do the Kardashians?
He is the producer of the Kardashians,
he's the one who brought it to E! Television
and said, this is a good idea, you gotta do this.
He's been producing that show for a long time.
He owns Dick Clark Productions,
so the couple times a year that they have it,
like the New Year's Eve, Rockin' New Year's Eve, is a Ryan Seacrest or a Dick Clark Productions. So the couple times a year that they have it, like the New Year's Eve, Rockin' New Year's Eve,
is a Ryan Seacrest or a Dick Clark production,
which he owns now.
He used to be the host of the, what?
Not America's Got Talent, but-
American Idol.
American Idol, yeah.
He still is the host of America's-
Oh, he is. American Idol, yeah.
I haven't watched it in so long.
It is fuckin' wild, the amount of jobs this guy has.
And if you remember, during the pandemic, there was like,
there was an incident where he was broadcasting from home, like a lot of these shows were at the
time. And he had kind of what people thought was a stroke on air because there was like weird body
movements, facial movements, a little weird talking, like slurred, slurry speech. And he's a robot.
He's a robot. That's what it is.
That's Ryan Seagrass.
We've been quantum-physicking him for a long time.
He's the first of many.
Chrissy Hoadley is also a robot, keeping Brian in that studio so he doesn't cause additional
trouble outside.
Wabam!
Brian's keeper.
It takes two, Astrid and Chrissy. Throw in a few children. Brian has no free
time.
So, Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White and the rest of the crew are in production with the
new season. It's not out yet, but the new season of Wheel of Fortune.
They record like three of these in a day,
and then they do it for like four weeks,
and then they basically have episodes
for half the year or whatever it is.
There is now some conversation that's been going on
from multiple sources.
Let me read you this article.
You ready for this?
Vanna White struggles to work with Ryan Seacrest
and may exit amid Wheel of Fortune rumors. With Ryan, uh, with Ryan, with Cyan Request.
I'm having a stroke right now. With Ryan Seacrest set to replace Pat Sajak in the new season
of Wheel of Fortune, some sources say there may be more changes coming to the long running
game show. A recent report from the Daily Mail alleges that Vanna there may be more changes coming to the long-running game show.
A recent report from the Daily Mail alleges that Vanna White may be looking to leave the
show even earlier than expected despite spending months fighting for a much-deserved salary
raise.
A source told the Daily Mail that White is reportedly finding it very difficult to continue
without Sajak and work with Ryan Seacrest.
There's a part of her that wants to walk away sooner.
It's just so difficult without Pat, says the source.
Fana feels that she has put her time in,
she devoted her entire life to the show,
and she had an incredible run while making a small fortune.
And now the show is heading in a new direction with Seacrest.
White is allegedly having second thoughts
about staying on and working with him.
She knows the show needs to go in a different direction
and appeal to a younger demographic.
She wants the show to continue.
This will require younger female hosts,
someone who can be to Ryan what she was to Pat.
So there's some conversation that she may be walking away
from the show and that the show is like heading
in a brand new direction
and Ryan's gonna make it younger and hipper.
First of all, Ryan ain't young.
That's just a reality.
Ryan grew up in Atlanta.
He is in the general age group of us, right?
And Ryan went to a local high school. As a matter of fact, his very first appearance
on television was on Blind Date, if anybody remembers that show. He was one of the people
that was on Blind Date. And I don't remember what happened in the episode, but I remember seeing it.
He was also a local disc jockey here for a while.
Star 94, right?
Yeah, on a station called Star 94.
But, you know, do you watch Wheel of Fortune?
No.
Okay, have you ever watched Wheel of Fortune?
Yeah, of course.
Okay, we watch it here because the kids like it, right?
They like to guess what the puzzles are.
I did not have any interest in Wheel. I watched it as a kid, like everybody did back in the 80s and 90s.
Everybody watched Wheel of Fortune. And then I largely forgot about it until I had children.
Yeah, I don't watch it now.
Yeah. Actually, my in-laws like it too. You know, they don't speak very great English.
Once you're older too.
Yeah. When you're young and when you're old. And I guess that's the point is they have to find somebody to kind of freshen up the show a little bit.
But I'm very curious to see how this all plays out
with Ryan Seacrest, especially if Vanna White leaves
and they're trying to make it younger and hipper.
Is this gonna be another shit on the floor moment
by just trying to keep this thing alive
and make it terrible?
Or will there be some sense of-
Yeah, because you kind of know what you get.
Yeah, that's it.
And it's simple and it's, you know, if I do have to watch it, I can.
I'm entertained by it.
Yeah, and you know exactly what you're going to get.
The wheel is going to spin.
Someone's going to make a silly joke.
Then you're going to try and guess what the actual phrase is or whatever it is.
There's some familiarity to it.
And I like that. It makes you feel, you know, interested.
It makes you feel comforted, I guess.
I think it's so, yeah.
And it's interesting because you get to guess on it. I mean, if you're into that kind of thing,
it's not my favorite thing in the world to do, but okay, whatever, the kids like to watch it.
You know, I try and guess the puzzles with them. They usually get it right before I do,
but that just goes to show how dumb I am and how smart they are. But then, you know, I wonder,
I wonder what it's like to work with Ryan Seac wonder, I wonder what it's like to work with Ryan Seacrest.
I wonder what it's like to work with someone
that's so incredibly fucking busy all the time.
He's probably super type A, you know?
He has to have everything just how he wants it.
Yeah.
And I, if you spend, like, if you and I did the show
for 40 years, and then I said, okay, I'm gonna take a break.
Like, I gotta back off this. I can't, first of all, I can't imagine doing the show for 40 years and then I said, okay, I'm going to take a break, like I got to back off this.
I can't, first of all, I can't imagine doing the show for 40 years.
But let's say that I did and then you had to come in and hang out with a new co-host.
Yeah, it would be hard.
Yeah, it would be hard.
And maybe, you know, maybe you would just feel a sense of, I wish it was the way that
it was and now that it's new, maybe they just need to take it and do something completely
different with it. But I do also find it fascinating that she fought so hard for this raise that everybody
agrees she deserved a long time ago, and now she wants to walk away from it.
Well, but you know, that's money can't buy happiness at the workplace.
Maybe money isn't everything at this point.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah, she's like, you know, hopefully she's made some good investments over the years
and she's set for life.
And I don't think that they have any kids.
Who?
Vanna?
Let me see here.
Let's do, let's ask you a lot.
I watched a whole biography about her.
Oh, you did?
A few years ago.
Yeah, it's pretty interesting.
How much does Vanna White get paid? I said Vanna Anna White.
Vanna Anna White.
Vanna Anna.
Okay. Don't make her any more white than she already is. Vanna Anna White. All right.
Let's see here what Gemini says. Quantum computing! Estimates of Vanna White's salary on the Wheel of Fortune
vary, some reports suggest she earns around
$3 million a year, while others place it closer
to $10 million a year.
In addition to Wheel of Fortune earnings,
White also brings in income from other sources,
such as endorsements, and her own brand of yarn.
Oh!
Her total...
I didn't expect that.
I did not expect that either.
Her own brand of yarn.
Yarn, huh?
Well, yeah.
She must be into knitting or crochet.
She's definitely going for the older crowd.
Maybe it is best that she steps away.
Her estimated net worth is $85 million.
Oh yeah, I will say that she's set.
Yeah, I mean.
She's like, wait a minute,
this is just, it's not even worth the extra money
to have to deal with something like reinventing the wheel.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, I, okay.
Now that I know that she's comfortably secure with her fat stacks and her yarn business,
I don't feel so discombobulated by the whole thing.
Vanna White has two children, Son Niko, Santo, Pinto Maria, I don't know, no, Son Niko and
Giovanna with her ex-husband,
George Santo Pietro.
So, yeah.
Okay, she does have kids.
That sounds like a sexy group, man.
I know.
Yeah, we have a name like that.
You better have the looks to pack it up.
Yeah, exactly.
But I guess when you're married to Vanna White,
you probably did.
Right.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, well, hey listen, I wish-
We'll be looking forward to see what happens.
I wish Vanna White in the future, whatever she does,
and I hope Ryan Seacrest doesn't fucking fart
all over the Wheel of Fortune name.
Not because I particularly care.
If it goes away tomorrow, it's not gonna hurt my feelings.
I'm not gonna be upset by it.
But just for the sake of all the seniors out there
and their senior-
And your kids.
And their senior home, and my kids.
Yeah, well, you know, they now have the video game version,
which-
Yeah. I used to have the board game version. Oh, yeah
Yeah, the big wheel and you would spin it go crack crack crack crack. Yeah, you had the little like green
Board yeah where you would do different letters spin the letters. That's right. I remember you like flip open the little windows
Uh-huh. Yeah, that's right. And you had to put all the letters behind it
Yes, like someone would had to be all the letters behind it. Yes.
Someone had to be Vanna White.
It was a card. I think it was a card that fitted into that.
Yeah, that's right. Wow. That's going back some time.
Yes.
Okay. All right. Well, good for Vanna. I hope she got a cut of that Wheel of Fortune
board game money.
I'm sure she did.
Yeah. Well, she's knitting now. So yeah, she's got that
over 70 crowd locked in yarn. Yarn is probably a good business to be in, I would imagine. Oh, yeah.
No, and it's making a resurgence amongst young people learning to crochet. I see it all the time.
I see it all the time on Instagram and TikTok. Young ladies and men knitting stuff together.
That's a way to be creative. Why not?
Teach me how to knit.
I'll do it with those two big needles.
Yeah. Yeah.
I'll probably hurt myself in some way, shape or form
knowing me.
All right.
