Welcome to the Daily Stoic Podcast, where each day we bring you a passage of ancient wisdom designed to help you find strength, insight, and wisdom every day life.
Each one of these passages is based on the 2,000-year-old philosophy that has guided some of
histories, greatest men and women. For more, you can visit us at dailysteal.com.
The more you learn, the less you know. It's wonderful that you are so committed to
this philosophy that you get these emails and you have read these books. You
probably know more about stilicism than most people alive and probably more than
most people who have ever lived,
being that most people knew nothing about it. You certainly know more today than you did yesterday
or a year ago. Good for you. But that also means that you should be familiar with who the
Stoics admired most. Socrates, the man who knew how little he actually knew, the man who is far
more interested in asking questions
than in assuming he knew the answer.
It wasn't that Socrates wasn't smarter,
particularly well versed in philosophy.
It's precisely because he was so wise
that he knew how much there was left to learn.
The more we think we know about,
goes the lyric from the rush-song,
the greater, the unknown.
Whereas they say in physics, as your island of knowledge increases,
so does the shoreline of ignorance.
Philosophy and physics are similar in that way.
The more you're exposed to, the more immense the picture becomes,
the more impossible it is to ever fully comprehend all of it.
We can't learn that, which we think we already know,
epictetus reminds us. We can't learn that which we think we already know, epicotetus reminds us.
We must always keep our minds open. We must not be prideful at how far we've come. We should be
humbled by the distance that looms in front of us. So we must never think that we have arrived only
that we remain on a journey to which there is no end. Which is why we must keep learning and keep asking.
is no end, which is why we must keep learning and keep asking.
And that's why we created Stoicism 101, ancient philosophy for your actual life.
This course, Stoicism 101, is a 14 day course designed
to cheat you what you do not yet know.
Whether you're a beginner at Stoicism
or you've been studying it for years,
there is something
to be gained by getting up and going to school because learning, as Marcus really said,
is a good thing.
And as part of that, we're doing something we haven't done with our previous courses.
Me, the author of The Daily Stoke, Lives of the Stoke, and the narrator of this podcast
that I'm grateful you listen to, I am going to be the live instructor of this course.
In five live video sessions, which we're calling office hours, we'll have the opportunity
to learn for me to ask questions. It's not quite college, but it's better than reading by yourself,
and I'm really looking forward to engaging with all of you. It's going to be 14 emails delivered
over the two weeks, almost 20,000 words of content,
and you're going to learn from the famous Stoics.
You're going to learn the things A Stoic does.
The things A Stoic doesn't do.
What sets Stoicism apart from other philosophies,
the key components of A Stoics ideal day,
the Stoic's secret to success,
the Stoic secrets to resilience,
the Stoic secrets to productivity,
and how A Stoic masters their emotions, the Stoic secrets to productivity, and how a Stoic masters their emotions,
and a whole lot more.
Look, the course is not free,
but lectures are usually not free,
but this course is far less than the tuition
of even one intro to philosophy class,
even at your local community college,
to say nothing of what you'd pay to get this
from the Ivy League.
But look, as a participant in the Daily Stoic Stoicism 101,
ancient philosophy for your actual life,
you're going to learn all you need to know about Stoicism,
you'll learn it from me, someone who's been thinking and writing about Stoicism
for more than 15 years,
who's had the opportunity to help people put in into practice
everywhere from the NFL, the special forces.
You're going to be able to benefit from my synthesis of all this information
over the years. This is going to be a live course. All the participants will join the course
together and move through together at the same time. Registration is now officially open. It will
close on Sunday, May 2nd at 11.59 pm CST and the course will begin on May 3rd. This is different
than our normal courses, but I'd really love to have you join us. Check it out. We think it's going to be one of our best. I hope to have you join me.

Hey y'all, I'm Kiki Palmer.
I'm an actress, a singer, an entrepreneur, and a Virgo.
I'm just the name of you.
Now, I've held so many occupations over the years that my fans
lovingly nicknamed me Kiki Keepa Bag Palmer.
And trust me, I keep a bag love.
But if you ask me, I'm just getting started.
And there's so much I still want to do.
So I decided I want to be a podcast host.
I'm proud to introduce you to the baby Mrs. Kiki Palmer
podcast.
I'm putting my friends, family, and some of the dopest experts in the hot seat to ask
them the questions that have been burning in my mind.
What will former child stars be if they weren't actors?
What happened to sitcoms?
It's only fans, only bad.
I want to know, so I asked my mom about it.
These are the questions that keep me up at night, but I'm taking these questions out of
my head and I'm bringing them to you.
Because on Baby Mrs. Kiki Palmer, no topic is off limits.
