And if we don't know the answer, we bring in people who do, like negotiation expert Mori Tahiripour. Listen to Let's Talk Offline on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of beware the zites of march courtesy johnny davis he also had beware trender the zites of march man yeah always i always have it on my calendar has anyone ever used that phrase to you like seriously hey man beware yeah or just like
Starting point is 00:02:41 anything i feel like i've seen it in, like if a team had a bad march, you know, like putting up bad numbers and like, oh, the Ides of March. But it's never like, it's always used like that referentially. I don't know why I'm thinking I'm in a position where I could be Caesar, who's about to be just shanked by his home. You never know, man. You never know. You never know.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Can't trust these people. Yeah. Anyways, I'm Jack Jack and you are Miles? Mm-hmm. Okay. And these are some of the things that are trending right now. There's Triumvirate of NBA names. You got your Carl Anthony Towns.
Starting point is 00:03:20 You got your Trey. You got your Steph. Mm-hmm. And they're all putting up big numbers. Making history. Yeah, Carl Anthony Towns put up 60. First center to hit 60 since Shaq in 98. Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:35 And also, this was the first time ever in the league where three players scored 45 points or more. On the same night. On the same night. Damn. It's just wild how much scoring we've seen just in this last fucking two or three weeks right um yeah it's it's it's it's hey the nba we love this stuff or whatever
Starting point is 00:03:58 whatever that slogan is gotta love this this shit. Love this stuff. The NBA. The beautiful game. Carl Anthony Towns, I feel like, for whatever reason, doesn't get the attention from me, personally. Because he's just real solid and a good shooter. But his shot isn't that pretty he's he's just great but he's not he's not like to the naked eye does not jump off the off the court as like damn there goes
Starting point is 00:04:36 the next center to hit 60 points but right you know he's always out there he's always he's always putting up big numbers and they're they're suddenly very good very interesting shooting was good too like what the fuck oh yeah he's like the best three-point shooting big man for yeah in a long time and man trey is so uh so good so like i i feel like he is it's just like oh he he like exploited a uh weakness in the game like a i don't know he's just like like his runner is unbelievable yeah his his range i don't know he he's he's very fun to watch he's one who like jumps off the screen as like, how the fuck is he doing? He's just so aggressive and quick. You're like, oh, man. It's also just the way he plays.
Starting point is 00:05:32 You're like, oh, he backs himself. He's confident. And that's what you love. You love to see that. You love to see that. Yeah. And then Steph. So Draymond came back, right?
Starting point is 00:05:41 This was Draymond Green's first game back. He's calling it already. Yeah. He's already like, yeah like yeah we're gonna win the title we got we were we got the chip this year everybody forgot when i was out but that's another one that i like i like when you know you you realize that all the people all the players that we talk about and like people stacking up championships by just like building up like a bunch of blue chippers they where there's people like draymond green who he goes down for a month and suddenly like the warriors even though it's like not evident when he's on the court like all the things he's doing suddenly the warriors are like
Starting point is 00:06:18 just like pretty good yeah as opposed to like dominant when he's out there and he's just i feel like he's another one of those dudes who's just always makes the right decision and that that's on defense too yeah um so and they got they just have good they got good chemistry too like yeah these do you see like him and clay and like steph clay and draymond like hugging each other at the end of the game no just like they're just like we're playing together again like because it'd been like over Clay and like Steph, Clay and Draymond, like hugging each other at the end of the game. No, just like, they're just like, we're playing together again. Like, cause it'd been like over a thousand days or something. And you're like, damn, like in a way when you see, you know, you love to see like. Because he was, he was out when Clay came back.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Yeah. Got it. So it's been a minute and they got the three amigos back together. Well, that's cool. Also cool. Representative Lauren Boebert. Yeah. Dude, that's cool. Also cool. Representative Lauren Boebert. Yeah, dude, she's sick, dude. Like in so many ways that aren't flattering.
Starting point is 00:07:13 She says in a video, okay, because you remember at the State of the Union address, people were like, yo, you were flagrant with like the disrespect to like people in the armed services when you're just screaming, when he's talking about his son who like passed away from you know being around toxic burn pits and she was saying in this video that she got like this video from like a a message she's reached out from a mother of a of a veteran um and saying like you know basically being like well this why
Starting point is 00:07:41 would this mother of a veteran reach out to me if i was so flagrant with it but said that this mother it was a mother of a lieutenant corporal and many people who know much about the military were like oh i'm sorry what's that rank again lieutenant is that a real thing what is it is that did you just make this up or you miss hearing lance corporal i don't know i was reached out to by a mother of a uh colonel uh sanders based uh military uh injunction and therefore uh air to and ergo and heretofore um she said i was good so fuck yourself right. Right. Okay. Okay. Yeah. So that's, uh, I mean,
Starting point is 00:08:27 it sounds like the same shit that like people who get caught out there with their racism are like, well, you know, this, this mother of a Brown person reached out to me and said, I'm brave for saying those things out loud in public. It's like,
Starting point is 00:08:39 that doesn't work either. And then we have the odds of March, uh, is trending. It's trending hard uh because trends big trends happening for the odds of march we love to see it folks um this is so this is basically i always forget like what it even means you know because right to to most of us it just means that george clooney movie that nobody saw like that's really what goes to
Starting point is 00:09:06 everybody's mind i didn't even see that shit yeah no nobody saw right but i guess it's like the annual version of friday the 13th or i guess friday the 13th is the annual version but it's a it's a unlucky day but specifically for people who are uh rulers who are authoritarian rulers yeah i'm happy for uh unlucky day for authoritarian rulers apparently like in the roman calendar they observed it for being the day that like the deadline for settling debts so there's something poetic about ben oh so it's like tax day yeah but except but also if you're like trying to mark caesar you're like guess what homie the day has come bills do yep bills do oh it too brute hey brew no brute dude fucking brute fucking got me um and also i don't know
Starting point is 00:10:03 like i think recently though uh lindsey graham evoked it when he's like somebody needs to hides of march of vladimir putin and assassinated and people are like whoa okay um yeah so look it's in it's in the zeitgeist you know that is a common thought has anybody like followed that through to the end because uh you know i've heard people who like are just you know vaguely following the um russian invasion of ukraine and then they're like yo why don't we just kill this dude exactly and shout out to all the brave uh people serving in the 101st cheruborn infantry um with the sick military takes but uh yeah that's you're not allowed to assassinate people isn't that kind of the rule hey come on i mean what was the cia using like mercenaries to do it
Starting point is 00:10:52 right you can't like i think the rule is hey someone's plane fell out of the sky i don't know that guy was also had some ideas about sharing corporate profits i don't know you're not allowed to openly assassinate somebody yes yes unless it's in a very silly, cartoonish way with, like, exploding cigars or some shit, right? Right. And even then, it just, like, makes their face, like, black with soot and their hair, like, blown back like this. Like, what the heck was that? I'm trying to think of, like, yeah, their head is just turned around. Their duck bill is turned around.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Right. They're like, what's the putin equivalent of exploding cigars it would be like getting one of the hockey pros who he goes out there and like makes a fool of to just take him out out there or like exploding hockey puck like exploding yeah yeah exploding exploding puck do a slap shot from the blue line dude like put your fucking back into it vlad boom i don't know like a horse bomb the you know shout like horse bomb my favorite band right because isn't he always like riding a horse around shirtless to prove that he's like a real man's man yeah i mean at this point i think everyone just says like he's very much in uh hermit mode so who knows what he's doing hermit mode
Starting point is 00:12:10 all right well uh let's take a quick break yeah and we'll come back i'm jess casaveto executive producer of the hit Netflix documentary series, Dancing for the Devil, the 7M TikTok cult. And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and LA-based Shekinah Church, an alleged cult that has impacted members for over two decades. Starting point is 00:14:48 Absolutely not. What was that? You didn't figure it out? I think I need to hear you say it. That was live audio of a woman's nightmare. This machine is approved and everything? You're allowed to be doing this? We passed the review board a year ago. We're not hurting people.
Starting point is 00:15:06 There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing. They're just dreams. Dream Sequence is a new horror thriller from Blumhouse Television, iHeartRadio, and Realm. Listen to Dream Sequence
Starting point is 00:15:19 on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Do you ever wonder where your favorite foods come from? Like what's the history behind bacon-wrapped hot dogs? Hi, I'm Eva Longoria. Hi, I'm Maite Gomez-Rejon.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Our podcast, Hungry for History, is back. Season two. Season two. Are we recording? Are we good? Oh, we push record, right? And this season, we're taking in a bigger bite out of the most delicious food and its history. Saying that the most popular cocktail is the margarita, followed by the mojito from Cuba
Starting point is 00:15:53 and the piƱa colada from Puerto Rico. So all of these... We have, we think, Latin culture. There's a mention of blood sausage in Homer's Odyssey that dates back to the 9th century B.C. B.C.? I didn't realize how old the hot dog was. Listen to Hungry for History as part of the My Cultura podcast network,
Starting point is 00:16:13 available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And we're back. And this is big news in my world it's something i've been asking for for a while the sunshine protection act um is that to do with daylight savings yes oh yeah this is up your alley so two democratic senators brought a bill the sunshine protection act to the floor of the senate um this would make our current situation uh which is daylight savings um so it is like the current setup makes it seem like this current version is the unnatural part but it's the thing that it is for most of the year right um so this would make that permanent and it passed the senate unanimously like it wasn't even like close what the fuck just like nobody had thought to like put it forward i guess but like they're not a single like senate the senate's supposed to be the place where like
Starting point is 00:17:22 you know the farmers and like all the people who right work the land are overrepresented it passed unanimously so now it's got to go to the house um hoping the house does the right thing but like this is just one of those things it's like yo no one likes this shit right no like yeah all right that's good like low-hanging fruit low hanging fruit man it's gonna seem weird to future generations that we ever did that like i will not speak of it to future generations i will not stop speaking of it but that's just me like you should have seen it a car wrecks happening heart attacks fucking chaos when they made us change the clocks let's see this one yeah but i don't know man this could be the end and then then what will i talk about yeah actually you know what fuck it don't don't pass at the house i need i need to complain
Starting point is 00:18:11 about something this is in my in my old age i did this is just peak i get to complain about the weather the sun the time like yeah you know syndrome yeah damn havana syndrome like but your dad's wrong it was a alien technology that a foreign government was using against us remember it was all part of the disclosure documents about alien technology yeah yeah well he still believes it's just a mass psychogenic event well okay your dad's wrong your dad's wrong hersch dad's wrong. Herschel Walker. What's good with Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker? He's, look, we all, if you remember, if you're old enough to remember him when he was a foosball player, this man is running for Senate because, you know,
Starting point is 00:19:00 the way the GOP thinks, like, if we're going to take down a black Democrat in the Senate, we need a black Republican to do it because that's the way we think. And that'll work. And it won't matter if the guy doesn't even live in Georgia or know anything about anything. Recently, he was like speaking at this event talking about evolution. And he says this line. At one time, science said man came from apes did it not if that is true why are there still apes think about it that was all a quote all the way down to
Starting point is 00:19:34 the think about it think about it yep literally end quote there think about it he really thought he did a mic drop on people with that yeah there it is face i mean if dinosaurs evolved from birds why are there still turkeys and why are we still eating a turkey on thanksgiving think about it that's deep shit yeah it's uh pretty good i don't like i don't i don't think i can do the rest of the show because you don't want to tangle with fucking mind blown um like in the fucking debate terror zone with him all right bob saget trending uh the autopsy says his head injury may have been from a fall onto a carpeted floor it seems like this story has evolved since last we visited because i think i i was like man that's wild that he like fell hit his head and you know that that's it like that's a wild way to go since then my thinking has evolved
Starting point is 00:20:33 to wait a second like so many of the grandparents and parents i know who pass away are like from falling like having a bad fall yeah so maybe it's not as wild as i think just because he's famous doesn't mean that uh he doesn't well yeah especially you know like i remember the first thing was like he died in his sleep and i was like wow that's peaceful then it's like the autopsy came out and the family doesn't want the autopsy to come out and it shows that he has some kind of head injury what's the family trying to hide and like that became a lot of like not everybody but that definitely was something that was bubbling up on the internet like trying to you know cast doubt on like what the family's intent was or what they're
Starting point is 00:21:15 what the fuck they had to do with his like passing but you know maybe some people just didn't want the autopsy uh made public so a bunch of fucking internet sleuths aren't trying to cold case this shit when their like loved one passed away yeah um and that's exactly what happened so i don't know i mean i'm i'm not i'm definitely not in a camp of like we need we need the truth about bob saget i think it was unfortunate it sounds like it was an accident like we were even talking before we started recording like the amount of times you're like everyone is so close to like precariously falling and like terribly injuring themselves i feel like there are so many times i'm like oh shit i slipped down that step i could have fell right through this coffee table like if i didn't
Starting point is 00:21:58 have my shit together it's a lot easier than i think people think to hurt yourself from a fall yeah people people go this way every day. It just doesn't usually make headlines because it is a non, it, it emphasizes the, uh, you know, lack of reason behind life.
Starting point is 00:22:17 You know, it's not like it's just crazy. Random. Can't really blame anyone. So you have to, crazy random can't really blame anyone so you have to so you have to find a way to blame someone in this case his family for not spilling the tea on the death of their beloved father and husband just be careful folks you know in the shower going down steps with your socks too slick you know yeah don't wax your floors i remember
Starting point is 00:22:45 that was one time i went someplace to have like waxed floors the first time in my life as a kid and i slipped so hard you know it's wild is like when have you ever had it where you're like pushing a heavy box along some like wooden floors and then you walk on that and it's suddenly a fucking skating rink because it's just like my mother would kill me if i was pushing some shit along the wooden floor right is it it's like just a cardboard box moving on a floor like just for whatever reason on on our floor and in our home right makes it like a zamboni the most dangerous thing yeah it's wild right um so i don't know resurface the floor for you yeah and then i have to run around with golf cleats on just to make sure it's safe.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Fuck your floors up even more. Like what the fuck happened in here? I need a traction. Those are golf spikes. All right. Well, those are the things that are trending on this Ides of March 2022. We are back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show. Until then, be kind to each other.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Be kind to yourselves. Get the fucking vaccine, y'all. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we will talk to y'all tomorrow. Bye. Bye. I'm Jess Casavetto, executive producer of the hit Netflix documentary series, Dancing for the Devil, the 7M TikTok cult. And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church.
