Thanks, man.
I'm Jack.
That is Miles.
This is an episode where we tell you what is trending in this fine world of errors.
I mean.
May the fifth be with you.
Yeah.
May the fifth also be and with your spirit.
May the fifth of tequila you drink.
Yeah.
Not lead to a terrible outcome.
Not be with you tomorrow when you wake up.
I'm taking it so easy.
I'm actually gonna get it.
I'm about to get some fish tacos.
Are you?
Oh,
I'm,
I've become slowly addicted to fish tacos.
I think.
Any,
I just love them.
Fried?
Grilled?
Anything in particular? You know, this one spot, you know, they do it.
You can get them both ways, but I like it fried, you know.
I'm doing it all the time, but, you know, I like it fried.
It's a good texture, you know.
Shout out to them.
Shout out.
Shout out to Baja.
Is it the flaky whitefish?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm not getting, getting like fried salmon or something
fried uh fried swordfish tacos oh too too too meaty too dense for that swordfish swordfish is
so dense man that's yeah it's it's like a fucking it truly you're like is it are you sure this is
fish i'm eating because i'm chewing the shit out of that was my parent my parents loved a nice well-done hunk of swordfish growing up
just beat someone to death on a bunch of pencil erasers that's right let's tell the people what's
trending huh yeah all right so we got two sides of the same coin here we got hashtag remove trump
jack uh which i i guess was started by biden yeah. Based on the fact that it ends with Jack.
And then hashtag delete Facebook,
which if you do a search on that,
you will see just a sea of pink faces
behind Oakley's as the avatar.
Some sick wraparound Oaks.
A lot of bots, a lot of regular folks who don't like that trump got
is still banned from facebook yeah and then like the trump remove trump jack dorsey is because you
know right now there's there's an account that's actually tweeting out this stuff from his trumpler
stupid blog page um as tweets so we were like yo get this don't see he's trying to he's backdoor tweeting on here no
um but at a certain point like i don't know how you could like if someone's independently just
retweeting or like putting that content on twitter i don't know how much you could really do to say
that's him doing it unless he's behind that account but either way yeah i mean it's uh
trump name is trending again are are those uh retweets or reposts of Trumpler posts,
are they pretty popular?
No.
The account right now, when you look at that hashtag,
because a lot of people are specifically drawing their attention
to this one account, which is the at whatever,
I'm not going to even give it out.
The thing doesn't even have 2,000 followers right now.
But it may have just started today.
I don't know.
Got it.
But even then, you'd think if this really was that,
like MAGA Twitter would have been all over this
and would have more than, as it stands right now,
1,859 followers.
1,859.
Come on.
Come on, man.
Get out of here with that shit wake the fuck up um but i like
you know all power to i i agree with heartily with the people who want to delete facebook
more power to y'all that's how you exercise exercise your right to delete facebook
it's uh yeah but it's so funny because so many other
things are tied to it you're like fuck i can't fully get away from it but stay off it yeah and
that that is i feel like that is facebook culture are the people who are currently saying delete
facebook like my experience with facebook culture is it's always uh some wraparound oakley's telling yeah
facebook no like it's that's you know the the libs are on twitter and the conservatives are
on facebook and um sorry for the people who have who are doing it all astroworld is trending because
that's the is this like the first major music festival that's like we're we're doors open baby
no i mean there's gonna be hard summer oh see i think this is the week you were gone
it was like when all the festivals like bonnaroo's happening oh wow fucking
just all kinds of huge festivals are going to be happening in the fall and then even in the summer
there's gonna be hard summer that electric music electronic music one in la got it august or end of july um but yeah people are ready to i guess uh do some
oh sick ass big events but yeah travis scott astroworld the second coming of his like festival
um i don't yeah people are people are very much looking forward to it because the kids are loving Travis.
Oh yeah.
Even the old folks would be liking Travis.
Uh, but yeah, like there, there's no lineup yet, but the tickets are like 300 some dollars.
So a lot of the tweets right now around it are just people making jokes about like just
how expensive it is.
Like some dudes like, yo, if the tickets are 300, Kylie better be twerking when fucking
sicko mode comes on.
So yeah, that's a lot of so yeah that's a lot of money it's a lot of money i'm gonna turn up with my uh regular mcdonald's value meal but with
barbecue sauce for the fries i'm a real travis scott head um uh i wonder if one of the places, live venues, is called Scott's Lawn.
Oh.
You know?
Cool.
So Peloton is trending for very depressing reasons.
They had to do a massive recall after a child died on one of their treadmills.
a child uh died on one of their um treadmills yeah there's someone yeah alleged alleging that that's what occurred like in the that you know this child got trapped underneath yeah uh the
treadmill treadmills are fucking treadmills are real like sneaky dangerous they're like
we we've gone through the cycle where it's like pools are actually extremely dangerous to children
but like treadmills are bad also like you constantly hear about people getting hurt by
treadmills uh i've had our kids like you know jump on a treadmill while i was moving and go flying
yep that's like busted chin music yeah yeah uh is it's bad it's it's real real dangerous um we just
keep ours going at 10 miles per hour the whole day just keep it a just a nice and steady 20 20
miles per hour just a full corner about sprint yeah teach them a lesson yeah i mean about physics
it's essentially i think that's why it's underrated because it's like this small little
thing is moving rather than like a big like it's like a spinning knife machine yeah you're like
yeah you run on it but you don't realize like a mini belt sander that will just launch shit or
get caught in or whatever yeah and yeah we were talking before we started recording just like how
brutal they used to be like even when we were growing up like i remember like a treadmill was
something kids would fuck around on to hurt like intentionally
be like yo we're launching ourselves off this thing right now yeah turn it up give me one of
these bouncy balls and let's go yeah um it was the indoors version of jumping off a swing that
was going way too high like guaranteeing to hurt yourself like this is a fun way to
it does look cool i gotta say hopefully no kids are listening
it looks cool when you just jump on one that's going 10 and then just get sent just spit out
the back of that treadmill uh again not not don't try it at home but yes and tragically the other
thing about this story is the the u.s consumer product safety
commission like was like um that the peloton treadmill we believe is unsafe for children and
pets back in april yeah and then like the head of it was like hey you know what our bad that we
didn't actually listen to them that time okay right we made a mistake because if you knew how
much it would cost to recall these things you'd probably wait for someone to tragically pass away too before you did something.
of people saw but it just talks about how corporations are sociopaths like their central logic is sociopathic and they will make a decision to let people die if it's more profitable for them
like car car companies did that all the time it's documented through the 70s and 80s they're like
well we could completely like stop production on this car
now that we've realized it kills people this way.
Or we could just like eat the losses through, you know, the lawsuits that are inevitably
going to come from these deaths.
So we're just going to do that.
And I'm sure that's similar to what was going on.
Can't say for sure.
Alleged, allegedly.
And yeah, what else is trending uh so this movie
demon slayer it's kind of a anime i mean it is an anime uh film kind of an kind of a r-rated uh
real like kind of trippy looking wild i don't know it's it it just doesn't look like anything that is this successful that i've
ever seen like it so it's now the most successful movie of 2021 so far i think it's made 400
million globally uh in box office which is the most any movies made and it's made it across like
a wider range of countries because like the other ones that are high on that list or tend to be like chinese
blockbusters that made all their money in china and this one is kind of cleaning up it was the
number one movie in america last weekend it beat mortal combat um and it's just you know got a uh
one character has a hand a mouth on their hand that they speak through and just like real
surrealist shit that you i don't know it's cool to see that sort of thing crossing over uh i think
yeah i mean i think it's like it's like continuing you know a lot of asian media is just getting
bigger and bigger and bigger and you know last year everyone was like much very into like korean
films and even this year
and now we're seeing anime like yasuke and then demon slayer and shit you know yeah people people
like it um the director animated the cowboy bebop movie which is apparently a classic i need to get
up on my anime because i do i really enjoy it like i've enjoyed it when i watched it uh i really liked
avatar when i watched that um so i gotta start watching these movies we gotta get you on that
some some real shit give me give me a watch list uh miles but i'm all look i'm a fucking old
japanese guy from the 80s and 90s so like i definitely it's funny because
i learned to read japanese from reading japanese dragon ball because i didn't like going to like
class so i was just like i will fucking labor through this and so yeah shout out to akira
toriyama but yeah i mean there's there's plenty of classics we have plenty of people i think isn't
brody reed gonna be on soon yeah yeah well
i'll let brody bro taku uh the black otaku guy you know hit you with that because i'm
shit he can put me on uh and finally uh back into my safe space mark walberg
is trending because this guy gained 40 pounds i mean mean, this guy's normally real hot and stuff, but now he's gained 40 pounds.
Looks like a person or something.
What is he supposed to be?
He said, yes, it's for a roll.
As if you can't just be like, you gain weight.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah.
Yes, it's for a roll.
Yes, don't worry.
I still wake up at two in
the morning every morning to work out so i can look like this i'm consulting a specialist okay
maybe i assaulted that guy and there was a hate i don't know was it a hate crime forget look
i i sleep in a cryo tank can we let's focus on that dad bod and yeah it's a it'll be interesting to see how this
i mean i guess actors tend to uh be able to do this you know christian bale is a real shapeshifter
and like that's part of his thing but like mark walberg is very very specific it's more it looks
like either like mark walberg is is either like in his prime or mark wal It's more, it looks like either like Mark Wahlberg is,
is either like in his prime or Mark Wahlberg is divorced.
Right.
It doesn't look like different characters.
It looks like Mark Wahlberg,
where he's like Christian Bale.
You're like,
are you okay,
sir?
Like,
yeah.
Did you really have to go there?
But yeah.
And then Will Smith also posted something.
He's like,
guys,
I'm the worst shape of my life.
And he's just look like a regular dude. He's like, right. I'm going to get in the worst shape of my life and he just looked like a regular dude he's like right i'm gonna get in the best shape of my life yeah what's going on y'all
yeah it's a marketing thing too it's like he's now gonna do a youtube series yeah called best
shape of my life so shout out hey uh impossible ideals with the time traveler Will Smith, who looks like a boy still.
Yeah, yeah.
Anyways, shout out to Mark Wahlberg for popularizing the dad bod again.
What a hero.
Just a fucking hero, dude. Yeah.
Hate crime hero.
Oh, man.
But if he had been there, I think we all know 9-11 wouldn't would have gone down a little
bit differently a little bit differently just and he's proved it wasn't growing in an earlier time
bro i would have handled that shit early yeah yeah you know i would have oh my god don't even
get me started bro like captain america captain man Dr. Manhattan. The second the French were fucking up, I would have been like, I got this.
Uh-huh.
And deaded it.
All right.
Well, those are some of the things that are trending on this fine Cinco de Mayo.
Happy Cinco de Mayo to all our listeners.
That is going to do it for this afternoon.
We are back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show.
Until then, be kind to each other.
Be kind to yourselves. Wear a mask.
