And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Starting point is 00:00:56 or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Keri Champion, and this is season four of Naked Sports. Up first, I explore the making of a rivalry. Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese. Every great player needs a foil. I know I'll go down in history. People are talking about women's basketball just because of one single game.
Starting point is 00:01:15 Clark and Reese have changed the way we consume women's sports. Listen to the making of a rivalry. Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese on the iHeart on the iheart radio app apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast presented by elf beauty founding partner of iheart women's sports hello the internet and welcome to this episode of new male birth can trend oh that one courtesy of my co-host mr miles we don't never do intros like this but i don't know, but I'm excited. I'm not going to lie.
Starting point is 00:01:48 I'm completely thrown now. You didn't fucking tell me you were going to do this. I love you. Shit, man. I'm totally off my game, man. Oh, no. I'm Jack. That is Miles.
Starting point is 00:02:05 Is that better? There we go. We're back on track. I love your response. This is the episode where we tell you what is trending as we record it. Mere hours before you listen to it, before it drops in your little feed. So one question I have when I go to the news to read my daily news
Starting point is 00:02:27 Miles one question that is on my mind is what was this Trump guy's conviction is he gonna hurt him is it gonna help him because those are the two stories I've heard those are the two narratives that
Starting point is 00:02:43 the media seems to be trying out we've heard the actually it's good narratives that the media seems to be trying out uh we've heard the actually it's good for him that he got convicted of a felony uh he wanted he wanted to be guilty oh you guys oh you're in trouble now you fucking played right into his now that he's been convicted of 34 felonies you're in trouble now he's mad and um every and maga is mad and when maga gets mad i mean you saw that they're effective on january 6th you saw what they do um but you know some people are like they're gonna just vote even harder um which i don't know i guess i don't know the logic of the narrative because it does feel like the people who would take this as an attack on anyone's freedom uh would already be the people
Starting point is 00:03:34 who were going to vote for trump as many times as physically possible and legally permissible but that is one story we're getting and they are just emptying their bank accounts for him that does seem according to the um according to his campaign at least right yeah like they had record-breaking fundraising they did like a jurassic park the day after his fell yeah they did like jurassic park opening night spider-man 2 fucking opened up yeah like 100 mil uh banked it um so that's that's one way am i remembering that didn't spider-man 2 do really well like that for a while that was like a thing that people like man spider-man 2 made a ton i think so yeah i think spider-man 2 was a big hit i think spider-man 1 was a big hit also yeah but spider-man 2 that's a character on spider-man 2 88 88 million in one
Starting point is 00:04:28 night uh opening weekend weekend yeah spider-man 120 that's the one i was thinking anyone know that's spider-man it doesn't matter whatever that's what they say they made the thing with the polls is like i just don't there's so many polls that were taken like last weekend so what the verdict came out thursday and then there's all this polls that were taken like last weekend so what the verdict came out thursday and then there's all this like hand-wringing screaming spiking of the football that happened and then you got polls earlier this week yeah you got like quick polls and in some of those quick polls there was like i think there was a early report 10 of republicans say they won't vote for him now um yeah or less likely to support i think is the operative phrase there
Starting point is 00:05:08 less likely that that is so vague you can't really state any real predictions on something like that but yeah i mean yeah i don't like that i mean i'll be a little bit grossed out but at the end of the day man i hate everything and i just want to see shit burn so i'll fuck out of here like yeah i'll vote for a felon um yeah i i think the other thing is like when you look at it too right no one the perceptions have not changed of what people felt felt was like the illegality of what trump did you know what i mean like that stayed no one's like now like oh it's worse now so people people's view on it has changed yeah like that 10 of registered republicans
Starting point is 00:05:46 less likely i get why people are hanging on to that and being like oh he got his ass or then there was another one like around 25 of independents said they were less likely you need a little bit more information like were these people ever gonna support trump were they are they even like who how how were they registered did they switch if there's a lot of weren't bounded enough if they're gonna fall off after a mere 34 count felony exactly oh i thought you was a ride or die but i guess not i guess not i was trying to explain what ride or die meant to my child over the weekend did not really they're like yo you were we're doing this bad boy bad boys ride or die is a film that's coming out and uh the six-year-old knows how to read now so he's just we're just driving through
Starting point is 00:06:33 the city he's asking me what various phrases mean i'm like wait why the fuck do you know why are you asking me what ride or die means like i saw a cool ad with like yeah two guys you want to lay your life down for the set or what little homie um sorry what's up can we go to can we go to a movie uh yeah i guess so but yeah i think it's again it's just early it's just early yeah i think it's a uh we don't know yeah because of yeah i mean most stuff you see it doesn't like they're what if if things were drastically different after this weekend then maybe you could be like oh maybe something happened but most of the polling is just like it it shifted a little bit but it not in a way where you're like oh shit like their turn his base is turning on him i don't that's not the case at all and i think
Starting point is 00:07:24 the one thing what we see too is with a lot of the polling where it's like trump is surging or whatever it's not it's not necessarily that like while there are young some younger people and like uh voters of color that are being a little more open to donald trump it's the fact that biden's support is eroding accurately yeah that is causing the disparity too why what happened oh man good guy um could be uh you know maybe this border policy that he just announced could be something that'll fix it because now he's gonna get the republicans vote for him yeah i like which is another thing that's trending just quickly like he's basically saying that he's going basically set up uh the border u.s mexico border to be shut down uh by midnight and this is part of like the uh rule that like the administration was saying they're like look
Starting point is 00:08:12 we're gonna suspend asylum claims if we get on like an above like 2500 crossings a day average over a seven day period and we hit that so we're gonna have to shut the border down this is straight up right-wing nonsense and fuck he's just doing this to appeal to a fucking imaginary voters that he think might be he'll might he might be able to nick from trump the fox news voters who are going to come over and vote for happening uh frequent guest and uh you know friend of the show alec karakatsanis he tweets this shit almost all the time when Biden or the Democrats do this. Whenever a party does this and does this rightward shift to appeal to new voters, you lose support amongst your base. Yeah. Always.
Starting point is 00:08:57 That's what that does. Yeah. You're not fucking winning anything. So many people voted for Biden to not do Trumpy shit at the border, and all we're to not do trumpy shit at the border and all we're getting now is trumpy shit at the border people were asking for pathways to citizenship or it's crickets um so yeah uh but again this is why like there are these just really dated fossil political moves that they make thinking that oh we might be able to swift like you know swing things yeah no no no no no well that story is not going to get me to vote republican but i'll
Starting point is 00:09:31 tell you what might this new male birth control gel oh coming for my boys man come on making me do the birth control come on i'm trying to take care of my plastic scrote mess with mess with my literal bean bag down there you know what i'm a plastic beans don't know each testicle like it's i think at this point male birth control might need to be mandatory until we get this plastic micro plastics yeah because we don't know what the fuck we don't even that's the fucking scary thing the baby's gonna come out like titane uh did you see that movie titane that where she gives birth to a half baby half car that's what the baby's gonna come out as it's gonna be like half mattel toy half baby um oh fuck sorry that's the spoiler for the end of a french art film but that shit is 2021 highly
Starting point is 00:10:28 recommend uh that that movie is wild as fuck wait is this this from 2021 titane it is so many different weird things like i was just thinking back on it the other day um and i was like wait all those different things happened in that movie like there's a tissue that's 90 on rotten tomatoes it is yeah it's really it's just out there like that it is really out there it's good oh shit wow whoa we got receipts in the chat let's just say people that work on the show say it's pretty good yeah and they know they know a little something okay anyways uh so historically women in hetero relationships disproportionately bear the majority of contraception responsibility creating uh an unjust system as the american medical association's journal of ethics notes this has made the development of male birth control a matter of social justice and the adoption of it we'll see right so there's good news though in the development of it a new trial has found that a gel was 86 effective at suppressing sperm among
Starting point is 00:11:37 participants um which seems not good enough to me but but according to them, that is the same effectiveness as women's birth control, like hormonal birth control, the stuff that we're all familiar with. In this case, the gel is a hand sanitizer that gets rubbed onto the shoulders. So you just put hand sanitizer on your shoulders? You just put hand sanitizer on your shoulders every day for like 12 weeks and bing bang boom. Bing bang boom, your plastic beans have been rendered. Bye bye. Yeah. Don't need them.
Starting point is 00:12:13 So I don't think it dissolves your testicles. I think it just lowers the sperm content of your semen for a little bit. Can I start over because I'm worried my scrote is full plastic and i'd like to clean it out yeah yeah just like to i want to go scorched earth on it but yeah i mean this is this is so wild too because i remember there was like the gel that you could like inject
Starting point is 00:12:38 like that was like sort of one of the first things we were talking about for male birth control that i think it was like to your vas deferference or whatever. Injected into the tubes that transport sperm from the testicles and stay in place for years. Yeah. Which some have likened to an IUD. I will just say that one will be like when you see the hell that was raised by grown men being too scared of needles and ashamed of their fear of needles to admit that they don't like vaccines.
Starting point is 00:13:08 And that's, what's really going on. Like I can only imagine the wild conspiracy theories and like, you know, twitchy performances that people are going to be putting up on YouTube, uh, surrounding a, a gel that gets shot into your ball tubes,
Starting point is 00:13:24 you know? Right. Right right right right whereas this one feels like out some very fragile men oh yeah but it's interesting like you you get that first and i was like bro you can't rub some shit on your shoulders yeah exactly uh well you know bro dude then i don't want to fucking suddenly died if i use that and you know that that would be terrible based on things suddenly died it just feels like where they're gonna go with this yeah oh for sure i mean thank god that it's we're like lowering the barrier for more men to be like yeah man uh it's time to call quits on this baby making shit for me yeah um great rub it on my shoulders say less people's uh the number of kids that people are having has gone down and the world is terrified according to a headline we talked about recently no i think people are probably
Starting point is 00:14:20 fine with it i think yeah yeah no we're gonna be all right yeah but they're like where's our labor pool to exploit exactly um let's take a quick break and we'll come back and talk about some more stories we'll be right back i'm jess casavetto executive producer of the hit netflix documentary series dancing for the devil, the 7M TikTok cult. And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and LA-based Shekinah Church, an alleged cult that has impacted members for over two decades. Jessica and I will delve into the hidden truths between high control groups and interview dancers,
Starting point is 00:15:08 church members, and others whose lives and careers have been impacted, just like mine. Through powerful, in-depth interviews with former members and new, chilling firsthand accounts, the series will illuminate untold and extremely necessary perspectives. Forgive Me For I Have Followed will be more than an exploration. It's a vital revelation aimed at ensuring these types of abuses never happen again. Listen to Forgive Me For I Have Followed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Gianna Pradente.
Starting point is 00:15:40 And I'm Jemay Jackson-Gadsden. We're the hosts of Let's Talk Offline, a new podcast from LinkedIn News and iHeart Podcasts. When you're just starting out in your career, you have a lot of questions like, how do I speak up when I'm feeling overwhelmed? Or can I negotiate a higher salary if this is my first real job? Girl, yes. Each week, we answer your unfiltered work questions. Think of us as your work besties you can turn to for advice. And if we don't know the answer, we bring in experts who do,
Starting point is 00:16:10 like resume specialist Morgan Saner. The only difference between the person who doesn't get the job and the person who gets the job is usually who applies. Yeah, I think a lot about that quote. What is it, like you miss 100% of the shots you never take? Yeah, rejection is scary, but it's better than you rejecting yourself. Together, we'll share what it really takes to thrive in the early years of your career without sacrificing your sanity or sleep.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Listen to Let's Talk Offline on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This summer, the nation watched as the Republican nominee for president was the target of two assassination attempts separated by two months. These events were mirrored nearly 50 years ago when President Gerald Ford faced two attempts on his life in less than three weeks. President Gerald R. Ford came stunningly close to being the victim of an assassin today. Gerald R. Ford came stunningly close to being the victim of an assassin today. And these are the only two times we know of that a woman has tried to assassinate a U.S. president. One was the protege of infamous cult leader Charles Manson. I always felt like Lynette was kind of his right-hand woman.
Starting point is 00:17:17 The other, a middle-aged housewife working undercover for the FBI in a violent revolutionary underground. Identified by police as Sarah Jean Moore. The story of one strange and violent summer. This is Rip Current. Available now with new episodes every Thursday. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And we're back. We're back and the epoch times ah a legitimate news outlet that we one of our primary sources that we use on this podcast and look i was shamed into not putting that in the footnotes because they're like you know this is like like kind of like a culty disinfo i was like no i will not hear it you're a culty disinformation they've
Starting point is 00:18:09 got some of the best covid facts i've ever fucking read ever on the epoch times okay don't come for my shit ever don't come for my shit well it's just look another dark day for journalism because it seems as if the epoch epoch times tupac times um yes the same uh epoch times that's affiliated with the falun gong religious fanatics um may not have been the most honest outlet when it came to or just business practices because look i just want to say this so what that they were quote one of the largest spreaders of covid misinformation online or that they were also quote one of the most vocal proponents of every Trump conspiracy theory. Why am I? Because they did their own research? You suddenly think you're too good for them?
Starting point is 00:18:53 I personally think it's cool that they were banned from Facebook because they bought so many pro-Trump ads in an effort to bypass the regulations. I think that's cool that they're just smart. passed the regulations i think that's cool that they're just smart and i'm personally fine with the beliefs of uh falun gong that say that biracial children will not go to heaven wait falun gong is the religious sect that is sort of the the group behind the epoch times and the reason why they support trump because they saw them as like the best attack towards the chinese communist party was the reason why their horse were they overlapped. And also, I mean, if you remember, there's also the fantastic Shen Yun dance. Yeah, that they always advertised everywhere.
Starting point is 00:19:36 You've seen these billboards anyway. But so the thing is, there's all kinds of shit. You get it all. You get it all. uh yeah there's there's all kinds of shit there's all kinds of shit yeah you get it all you get it all you get it all uh but anyway they're getting a fucking raw deal because their cfo was arrested after being indicted for bank fraud just because he allegedly laundered like 67 million in like crime proceeds what the fuck man so allegedly weird allegedly affiliates of the epoch times epoch times uh were setting up all kinds of fraudulent accounts and identities in order to convert like ill-gotten unemployment and welfare
Starting point is 00:20:13 benefits like that were converted to crypto and then putting them on prepaid debit cards and they just laundered it that sounds normal yeah like i mean look 70 cents on the dollar that's the kind of discount you can get on currency uh and yeah so no news that this will affect the shen yun ticket sales um but it is a dark day for people that are spreaders of anti-truth guys all right just go see shen yun if you want to know the truth you know 100 all right well i just think they need to stop being so weird about right-wing fascists committing financial crimes okay that's we got a weird it's like a weird trend happening yeah it's like all of a sudden it's illegal to commit financial crimes like well okay what i don't know that's the manliest shit you can do
Starting point is 00:21:05 that's right white collar crime white collar crime the coolest the people who used to be just the easy villains in 80s movies now there's like no they're actually fucking heroes Disney released a video of Splash Mountain
Starting point is 00:21:21 the new Splash Mountain Tiana's Bayou Adventure which they're not of Splash Mountain, the new Splash Mountain, Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which they're not calling Splash Mountain. I think they just want to completely erase any memory of the most racist ride or the most racist. I mean, I get that the movie didn't even have anything to do with Splash Mountain. Yeah. But it does feel like a PR away.
Starting point is 00:21:42 Maybe it wasn't. Yeah. Splash Mountain is just the name for a log flume yeah i think yeah maybe you could maybe have headed off a lot of like the racist backlash if you just kept calling it splash mountain yeah like tianu's bayou splash mountain i don't know right splash mountain at tiana's bayou yeah uh tm. Trademark. The ride is now themed around the princess and the frog, but basically
Starting point is 00:22:09 it's just like a New Orleans themed bog. It goes through a magical little bog. It's a bayou, Jack. It's a bayou. It goes through a little magical bayou. There is James what's his name? Carville. You ride in a James Carville body.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Yeah. There's a little animatronic. Yeah. James Carville. So I watched the video. I watched the ride through. I kind of jumped through it, skipped through it. Because Disney has released the whole POV video which
Starting point is 00:22:45 interestingly this article was like which stands for point of view the WDW magic dot com I mean I get that their audience has ever been on the internet before I know tiktokers have no idea what POV means based on how they
Starting point is 00:23:02 label those videos maybe this is like a bitchy po they're like which actually stands for point of view not i mean people don't i don't know i don't i don't know what the truth is anymore oh no oh no what is this a mat i'm i'm skipping through here right now oh shit it looks like splash mountain holy shit it looks exactly i mean i never wrote splash mountain i've written this is trippy written uh other like disney dark boat rides um and it seems like it is a very long version of one of those but with like more cool At the end there is like a Big Area like a big room
Starting point is 00:23:48 Floaty room That looks like a Full of like a magical Bayou There's gators there's frogs There's all kinds of magical creatures Down there and hysterical females From the democratic party that are ruining the party
Starting point is 00:24:04 That's all in there. Here's the thing with this shit. It doesn't matter what's happening between the start and the finish because all you're on Splash Mountain for is to take the picture when the shit goes down. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. That's all it is. So for all the people who are like,
Starting point is 00:24:19 what the fuck are you doing? Don't relax. You can still take your dumbass picture at the end that's going to cost 73 or if you're if you're smart just take your smartphone take a quick you know cheeky picture off the screen and then have somebody you know just print that but it is like a better longer ride compared to like some of the shit that disney adults like ride for like no no pun intended but like really like swear are like great like have you been on that peter pan ride since you were four years old i was just there with
Starting point is 00:24:51 the guy's child he didn't even fucking give a shit i mean he was too young terrible it's so short well those are but you can't those are the storybook land rides those are not for fucking anybody except like a baby i was booing loudly the whole time you're like the fuck is this but these are the same people who are like and now they've ruined splash mountain this is like a nine minute ride with like things happening in it so i just i don't see a vert like anyone who is criticizing this i'm saying it's either they had a sentimental attachment to the old version because
Starting point is 00:25:29 they wrote it when they were a child and that was the last time they were happy like the rest of us or just racism I feel like because this seems like objectively like a more fun ride with like more shit going on if they said right I think going on. If they said, right?
Starting point is 00:25:46 I think this is what happened. They said, this ride is so racist. But like, I feel like because they said, look man, Song of the South was problematic as fuck. Like, we need to do something.
Starting point is 00:25:59 That already allows all the fucking racist pitchforker clutchers to come out in mass with their tiki torches. We're talking about most races. And then because it's being replaced with like a black Disney princess, too, then it's like another black Disney princess. Yeah, that I feel like if they just said, man, we're updating Splash Mountain to be this other fucking thing. And this is the fucked up part, because even if they didn't say Song of the South is problematic if they merely just said we're gonna make it tiana tiana's bayou it would have been like just right with a black princess they can bring no way they could have won so either way fuck them the the shit still goes down in water and it still gets splashy
Starting point is 00:26:40 nothing has changed don't worry sorry it's just no longer based on a movie too racist to release on home video in the 80s like no um yeah also finally just robert downey jr such a weirdo he's so weird there's this headline where they were Robert Downey Jr. Reveals. He is surprisingly open-minded to the idea of returning as Iron Man. It's just crazily in my DNA. Probably the most like me character I've ever played, even though he's way cooler than I am.
Starting point is 00:27:21 I don't know. I guess I'm, I guess I'm just a little weirdo i guess i'm just a weird little freak who loves this movie that made me 300 million dollars right and made people think i'm literally a superhero i'm a bit of a geek that way um yeah didn't he wasn't he recently defending fucking mel gibson probably. At the SAG Awards. It's like, bro, shit. All right, bro.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Yeah, yeah. It seems to be the point at which you're just like, Mel Gibson's actually funny. Mel Gibson is actually like one of the, I don't even, I don't even know where to go with it. Everything would be so absurd talking about that, man. He's just a prankster at heart. Just in his DNA, man. Fucking Iron Man. Crazily. It's just a prankster at heart just in his dna man fucking iron man it's crazily it's just in his dna is there something on the table or this is like there has to be like the
Starting point is 00:28:13 the way that the amount of money that is being lost by not putting out marvel movies with those characters and those actors right now is you know they they have to be working around the clock trying to figure out a way to get all those characters back in movies i famously have not seen a lot of the marvel films i thought didn't this and spoiler alert for something that came out like six years ago didn't he die yeah yeah yeah so what the are they doing he's gonna have a lazarus moment or some or. Or is it just alternate universe shit? It's like, you know,
Starting point is 00:28:48 they'll be like, Oh, this is the alternate world. But I feel like this thing is different. Grown ass people who are so upset that their dear Tony, like just pissed off into the dust. Yeah. Wouldn't that like take,
Starting point is 00:29:03 wouldn't that like negate all the emotional impact of that character dying to begin with like ah just kidding no they're not gonna give a fuck about that let me tell y'all something i as somebody who loves the fuck out of star wars it became too much and there was i was like bro we i'm like i can't no no more no more just stop for a second i need to fucking breathe for a moment. They still Star Wars was never like, what if this movie had like had a different ending? And then Luke Skywalker had red hair. Just the whole movie.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Just that. What else is different? They just they just went in and touched up his hair. So it was red. Oh, OK. movies is that like what else is different they just they just went in and touched up his hair so it was red oh okay but anyways i'm sure like and i do think they will do good like those you bring back robert downey jr's iron man in like the logan of iron man movies where it's like i'm old and i'm around for one last thing and it's like a different universe and i think people will fuck with it personally damn that's right yeah now you'll hear on tomorrow's episode like when
Starting point is 00:30:11 movies is so subjective like i hear that and like what the fuck no but i get it too like at that point because there's been such a lack of those films like the fact that you're going to come back with like a beloved one is like such a way to just turbo charge the fucking asses in the seats. Probably. I get the logic. The asses in the seats are un-turbo charged at the moment. Yeah, exactly. All right. Well, those are some of the things that are trending on this Tuesday, June 4th. We are back tomorrow with the whole last episode of the show. It's a fun one. Until then, be kind to each other. Be kind to yourself. Get your vaccines.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Get your flu shots. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we will talk to you all tomorrow. Bye. The real Tony Starks is named Dennis David Coles. Dennis David Coles.
