Hey, I'm Gianna Pradenti. And I'm Jermaine Jackson-Gadson. We're the hosts of Let's Talk
Offline from LinkedIn News and iHeart Podcasts. There's a lot to figure out when you're just
starting your career. That's where we come in. Think of us as your work besties you can turn to
for advice. And if we don't know the answer, we bring in people who do, like negotiation expert
Maury Tahiripour. If you start thinking about negotiations as just a conversation, then I think
it sort of eases us a little bit. Listen to Let's Talk Offline on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,

courtesy of super producer brian i am jack you are miles and uh body like a vulture to callion
blacker than your blackest stallion hitch okay that's whenever i hear that i just think about
does he say sing a song of six yeah that's like the that's the beginning of how high with red man excuse me as i kiss the sky sing a song
six pence a pocket full of rock i'd never made that connection and i i knew all the words to
that song at various times sing a song six pence pocket full of rock oh my god dead body like a vulture to callion yeah okay um all right
well uh these are some things that are trending chris noth uh mr big yes uh two women have come
forward with allegations of sexual assault um he denies it he says it was consensual uh and peloton
also had to say something because if you remember the last thing
chris noth was popping off on was that like rapid response it's just wild how much this peloton ad
is we're still talking about it too even though this has nothing to do with like chris noth's
allegation but they were putting out that they said yeah we're gonna be pulling down the ad and uh we just we
have to take all of these accusations seriously obviously so um yeah just many many ripple effects
from that yeah simpsons rake meme seems to be like peloton just going well the yeah
stepping on those rakes yeah uh all right anthony Anthony Edwards, who was the number one pick in last year's NBA draft.
A lot of people were skeptical because he hadn't been playing basketball that long.
They were like, he seems to like football better, which is not a problem that we've
come into contact with and a number one pick prospect.
And it turns out that was the wrong take on that situation.
The right take would have been like,
he likes football better and he's already this good.
Imagine how fucking good he's going to be
when he like starts playing a lot of basketball.
And here we are.
And here we are.
He has become
the youngest player in nba history to hit 10 three balls uh that that was not the thing that
like he was drafted for he's just like oh i've added this like mid-season i've added a weapon
like i'm picking it up in a first person shooter yeah Yeah. Dude, it was wild because it was the first 10 of his 14 attempts from three.
Just bing, bing, bing, bing, bong.
It was nonstop.
So I guess after that 11th one was probably, I mean, at that point,
when you hit like four, you're like, okay, I don't need a heat check anymore.
Like something's happening with my body.
But I'm sure that 11th one may have been jarring for everyone in the
audience to be like but he hasn't missed yeah was it at home was it in minnesota yeah minnesota
yeah um he also becomes the fastest player in the franchise to hit 2 000 points um he's exciting i
think he's the most exciting thing in the nba uh. No, that was at away. My bad. They beat the Nuggets in Denver off that performance.
So, yeah.
Away.
Yeah.
He just needs to like breathe thinner air and he would be like a lights out shooter
all the time.
Right.
Even the altitude not fucking with him.
Yeah.
Like that altitude actually like brings him to a level where he's like, oh, this actually
makes more sense to me now
oh all that like sea level oxygen you breathe too thick for me yeah too much but yeah would you say
i feel like he's the most the thing that i'm most excited about in the nba right now oh yeah person
i'm excited most 100 because he's like one of those people i love when like you know i'm very laker centric but i like
basketball so when i look sort of outside i go oh anthony and keep when i look at the box scores
i'm like he's consistently putting up real numbers and then when you watch and you're like oh i think
i mean if we're lucky we're watching a you know huge like a generational talent announce itself uh pretty spectacularly so i was like
seeing that yeah i mean i'm not gonna i'm not saying he's gonna be jordan but when jordan came
into the league he was considered very athletic uh person who could like score at the rim and
had a lot of room for improvement um so, I don't know. All right.
And BBB.
Buildback broker.
I'm better.
There it is.
Yeah.
It's Joe Manchin has effectively delivered a death blow.
Did not see that coming.
In the most optimistic sense, a death blow for it passing this year.
In the most optimistic sense, a death blow for it passing this year.
Others may look at, you know, where his sort of gripes are with the bill, that he wants something that reflects like the true cost of it. And, you know, he's just sort of hung up on this price tag.
275 billion versus 210 billion i you gotta kind of look at it like that too considering like the you know the programs that that are being proposed so that has said you have to come down to 210
from 275 no he wants it to around 175 maybe you know he's not trying to go above that so every
so every yeah but that's all but the cost is over 10 years you know mean? And that's like, I think that's always happening in the media.
It's like two points, whatever trillion can with inflation, can we handle it?
And meanwhile, you're talking about what annual Pentagon budgets are and they're triple that quadruple.
It's like, what?
Yeah, this isn't, this is absurd to even get hung up or even present the math like that.
So yes, dysfunction has been a feature of this senate
and congress and house of representatives for a minute but which what's then the thing is now you
see the media picking up the thing of like well now talking about voting rights because they got
to pass some shit soon please hopefully so joe biden was like on a call today with some senators
who were part of a working group to talk about, you know,
voting rights and what can be done,
any kind of legislation that can be passed.
But it's like,
yeah,
did he know,
did he not know that something needed to be done there?
He's just like,
Oh,
unclear,
unclear.
It seems like every single person who is not an elected official is like
ringing every alarm bell they can find.
Yet, you know, I think maybe there we'll see very quickly, you know, where this thing's headed.
On top of that, you have all these op eds that like Joe Biden, please don't run in 2024 and announce it soon so the party can get its shit together in time.
OK, and then who do they think is going to run?
That's TBD. I think it's more just like i mean the great mckinsey mr mckinsey uh yes sir cool um all right let's
take a quick break and we'll be right back i'm jess casav, executive producer of the hit Netflix documentary series Dancing for the Devil, the 7M TikTok cult.
And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church.
And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed.
Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and L.A.-based Shekinah Church, an alleged cult that has impacted members for over two decades.
Jessica and I will delve into the hidden truths between high-control groups and interview dancers, church members, and others whose lives and careers have been impacted, just like mine.
Through powerful, in-depth interviews with former members and new, chilling firsthand accounts, the series will illuminate untold and extremely necessary perspectives.
Forgive Me For I Have Followed will be more than an exploration.
It's a vital revelation aimed at ensuring these types of abuses never happen again.

When you think of Mexican culture, you think of avocado, mariachi, delicious cuisine,
and of course, lucha libre. It doesn't get more Mexican than this. Lucha libre is known globally because it is much more than just a sport and much more than just entertainment. Lucha libre
is a type of storytelling. It's a dance. It's tradition.
It's culture.
This is Lucha Libre Behind the Mask,
a 12-episode podcast in both English and Spanish about the history and cultural richness of Lucha Libre.
And I'm your host, Santos Escobar,

It was December 2019 when the story blew up.
In Green Bay, Wisconsin, former Packers star Kabir Bajabiamila caught up in a bizarre situation.
KGB explaining what he believes led to the arrest of his friends at a children's Christmas play. A family man, former NFL player, devout Christian, now cut off from his family and connected to a strange arrest.
I am going to share my journey of how I went from Christianity to now a Hebrew Israelite.
I got swept up in Kabir's journey.
But this was only the beginning in a story about faith and football, the search for meaning away from the gridiron and the consequences for everyone involved.
You mix homesteading with guns and church and a little bit of the spice of conspiracy theories that we liked.
Voila! You got straight away.
I felt like I was living in North Korea, but worse, if that's possible.

and we're back and papa john's is trending because uh they're they're planning to launch
new york style pizza characterized by oversized foldable slices, only available in extra large, cut into eight
oversized slices.
So they're just seeing the direction the culture is going with health food.
And they're like, aha, we got it.
We got you.
We hear you.
Here we go.
Let's raise you that with big old New York slices.
Hey, we know the brand got a little toxic with John Schnatter or whatever his name is,
the real Papa John. slices hey we know the brand got a little toxic with john schnatter or whatever his name is the
real papa john um the big question i think most people are asking when you read this is well it
sounds like the only measurement or the the the qualities of a new york pizza is that it's
oversized and foldable like what's good with the sauce what's is it that same sweet sugar nonsense that you put on your
on your regular pizzas is there seasonings anywhere on the crust what's the what is the overall like
what are we dealing with here because merely evoking that i remember like in the 90s i feel
like pizza hut or domino's did that like the big new yorker pizza yes it was nothing like new york
style pizza it was just they just said fuck it we're just gonna make a bigger pizza domino's still has that shit like oh is it domino style yeah domino's
like big brooklyn style pizzas or i think they've like changed it to now it's just basically like
original crust which is what it was it was just their old crust without the seasoning on it um oh my gosh i mean sure like it's extra large
and you can fold it just like a cool new yorker i honestly their problems aren't with the size of
their slices again for me it's with the fucking sauce yeah like they're not gonna suddenly what
if they're like new york style pizza and it was just like good pizza all of a sudden they're like
oh yeah we could have done this all along. We just thought you guys liked
the real shitty stuff
that we do.
You didn't want to put high fructose corn syrup garlic
sauce on your crusts.
But yeah, we could have done this.
That is the food that
is most
concocted from
corn syrup
for certain. That whole pizza i would i would imagine
is like 40 percent high fructose corn syrup um all right michelle odinette is a louisiana judge
uh that let the n-word rip on video yeah that video this clip is wild she's like
her and her family like you can't see the, but someone is videotaping this conversation.
And they're looking at footage of a burglary that happened at this judge's home.
And then they get real loose with their whiteness, thinking that they're not, I don't know.
Maybe that's just they're talking.
And just constantly dropping the N-word talking about the, like one of the suspects.
And it's just like,
so vile to listen to,
like how casually this,
this person who's a judge,
uh,
is just like hurling racial slurs,
like in a,
just a low,
low,
low kind of way.
And you're like,
Jesus Christ,
this is what our,
this is what our legal system is made up of.
People who are out here just being like,
I mean,
when no one's
around like i'm gonna talk like you know wanna like somebody on the uh racist uh open mic tour
so you know she has basically said she's come out and saying i'm taking an unpaid leave of absence
through her lawyer but let's not forget here no one would ever be able to just accept or take or account for their words. There's always got to be some excuse making when people are caught talking racist out their neck. And this is hers. shook me to my core and my mental state was fragile i was a wreck and i'm still unable to
sleep i was given a sedative at the time of the video i have zero recollection of the video and
the disturbing language used during it i mean this is somebody who has seen some alibis in her time
like as a judge presumably yeah the best she could come up with was like ah i was uh i took some set ambient you
know ambient make you racist what what do you mean and look and i don't mean to you know uh
take away like the trauma of being like robbed and shit like that that is that will that shit
will shake you to your core for sure yeah but you listen to the voice on this it didn't sound
like somebody who was on their way to bed it sounded like somebody who was not you know was just really able to find the humor in it the
racist whatever humor in it and that's the way uh she chose to blow the steam off but yeah i mean
i'm surprised she's like we need to look in what the heck they're putting in ambient right because
i mean if this is happening to me like if this this could be happening to
like maybe Michael Richards when he did that stand-up set he might have been doing Ambien
and it ruined Kramer's career I mean this is something I think that the DOJ needs to look into
yeah at the very least the FDA which brings us to our next trending subject yeah um johnson and johnson yep cdc says
not good they don't want uh they're recommending anything but johnson and johnson as a vaccine
sort of they said vaccines other than j and j should be preferred and they're pointing to
there's evidence that the johnson and johnson uh covid vaccine was triggering a rare blood clot disorder
in some people that like a few cases have been found and they can attribute this to at least
nine deaths so um yeah that's that's a bit of jarring news but i think uh for those who were
experiencing those sort of side effects like they were happening pretty quickly um but
yeah just another isn't that the reason that we were meant to be held at the at the um virus or
at the uh vaccination like 15 minutes i think that's like for anything immediate yeah like um
yeah that if there's anything immediate like hey just hang around real quick just to keep an
eye on you um but yeah it's it's definitely you know uh it's not the best news i'm sure especially
for people who like i know who've had the shot and they're like oh because i remember i had a
friend who who got their shot like right after the first news came out about this like potential
blood clot issue and they're like oh my god i
should have just did the two shot thing i just only wanted to get one shot um but yeah another
another arrow in the quiver of anti-vaxxers for sure um is there any uh like anything in the
literature about people who got two johnson and johnsons like i did yeah i mean jack there's like
i said it's
probably there isn't because they told you to not do it we all told you to not do we begged you but
you're like how is johnson and johnson better than johnson and johnson and johnson and johnson i know
and i said that doesn't make sense and that doesn't actually speak to how the vaccine works
okay all right whatever i mean yeah but you did fill out your stamp book
forgetting every single vaccine so i guess there is that
all right well uh those are some of the things that are trending here on this thursday afternoon
we are back tomorrow with a whole last episode of the show yeah until then be kind to each other
be kind to yourselves get the vaccine just not yourselves. Get the vaccine. Just not that one.
Don't do nothing about white supremacy.
And we will talk to you all tomorrow.
Bye.
Bye.
