Hello, the internet, and welcome to this very special edition of the trending episode
also known as sir this is a trendies uh shout out to scouty magoo on discord for that short show
title i am miles of gray i am here just in the cut with super producer becca what's good becca hello hello live from peru hey peru shout out peru shout out all
my peruvians out here listening to the show i don't know i don't know how many i don't know
how much love we get in peru or if you live in wherever you are you peruvian god love for you
um i've been asking becca every day what she's eating because peruvian food is some of my
favorite food um you have anything good today i today i went to la lucha which i have been multiple times since coming here but
they have a loma sandwich which is like just steak cheese and grilled onions and it is so so good uh
we're getting sushi tonight apparently there's like this really like amazing five-star sushi
restaurant so oh super stoked about that and i do i'll just need to up to you i gotta send you a bunch of food
pics i gotta i know i gotta do that other producer tricia also abroad right now hitting me with the
steady mole pics wow anyway uh just a little bit of insight when we work together and you're
traveling i will beg you for food pictures because that's how i live uh eating so let's get into what's trending right now the first thing that's trending
uh fukushima is trending because there is a 7.3 magnitude earthquake off the coast
of japan northern japan uh and there is a possible tsunami warning possible tsunami happening not
sure i know that for some people in tokyo their power has gone out
or went out temporarily and that's just a fucking shitty memory uh because the anniversary was what
only five days ago um yeah 11th so i mean super scary such a product of global warming it's like
every day we find out some new horrible environmental mishap that, you know, we as the common folk have to feel guilty about when in reality there's like only so much we can do.
And we're at the hands of many, many powerful corrupt people that refuse to make any change.
And things like this are going to keep happening.
So it sucks.
And I really hope people get out of there safely.
Yeah.
I mean, it seems like right now the plant itself is stable.
The power plant that was affected by the tsunami in 2011.
So hopefully there will be not much further damage than what has happened.
God, I miss you, Japan.
I want to go back so bad.
Difficult.
Do you have any plans to go back soon?
I'm going the second they let, well, you know, full disclosure, I'm a dual citizen, so I could go.
Yeah.
But, like, I can't go with my wife.
I have a visa because she doesn't have a passport.
And I have so much family.
But I'm waiting for, like, it to fully open up so I can go.
It'll be much easier.
Yeah.
Feel safe about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I i have so much friends and family i haven't seen over there since 2019 okay
um let's keep it moving congress is also trending because president zielinski addressed congress via
video i've not seen it i've just i've just read a lot of the articles about it apparently it's a
very moving speech as we've come to find out zielinski is a masterful orator he knows how to communicate very well and convey emotion
and people you know were saying that some people were in tears he was trying to
you know evoke a lot of things from american history to get people to kind of understand
the stakes that he's up against biden though still said no i'm not gonna do a no-fly zone
but i will give y'all 800 million dollars in fucking military aid what the fuck i mean aside from the fact that they have to defend
their own country it's it's mind-blowing where we just go hey man why don't you take um open up
shed b and why don't you give them a third of what's in there that's about 800 million of shit
we just have on just in the fucking garage like it, it's not like we're giving them money.
And yet, Puerto Rico still doesn't have roads.
No, no.
Don't worry about that.
Don't worry about any of that.
It's so wild to be like, yeah, that.
Oh, yeah, we spent 800 million on all that.
But yeah, it's overall, it's a very dire situation.
I know there's a report that there was a bombing of like
a um theater where people were sheltering in ukraine um so uh just a terrible terrible
story continues to develop um and then before we take a break britney spears is trending
okay because her instagram our queen went down's gone. It's vanished.
Everyone said, what the fuck happened?
Where's Britney?
We are not silencing Britney anymore.
This is so disrespectful.
We're team Britney here.
Team free Britney.
But no one censored her, right?
She did it herself, right?
I mean, we can only hope.
I don't know.
I feel like the story is still out there. They said, change my name to Shaggy because it wasn't me. They said, we can only hope. I don't know. I feel like the story is still out there.
When they asked, they said, change my name to Shaggy because it wasn't me.
They said, we didn't do shit.
So leading, I guess, people to believe, oh, fuck it.
I mean, I get it.
That shit, who needs to be on social media?
Like, you got all this money.
You could do whatever the fuck you want.
Give us a fuck about your phone.
But I wonder if something did.
I mean, I haven't been keeping so close to, you know, Britney's everyday life.
But if some weird news story happened, because she's been using Instagram so much now that she has been freed of her conservatorship to, you know, like voice her opinions on, you know, she's been silenced for over a decade.
She's like commenting on shit.
She's posting a lot.
She's like commenting on shit.
She's posting a lot.
She's taking like her weird little nude selfies that she loves. And she's, you know, being very active with celebrities that she hasn't been able to talk to for years.
So I think it was just like such a space for her to like finally feel like she had a voice.
And I find it funny or not funny.
Ha ha.
But strange that, you know, she just would shut that down because she's Britney.
I don't think she gives a shit about, like, people talking on her comments.
Yeah, or I don't know.
Maybe it is, like, one of those things where she's like, man, I went through all that shit.
And I post some shit I like.
And then people want to fucking be dumb in my comments.
Fuck all this shit.
I didn't go through all that for this nonsense.
But, yeah, I don't know.
There could be some other deeper dimension to it.
But you know what?
I don't care to speculate.
Because do whatever the fuck you're trying to do, Britney. That's that uh and i'm only talking about it because it's trending i
have no fucking take on this aside from do you and and honestly if you decide to shut down your
instagram or your social media i get it i get it you don't need it all the time all, let's take a quick break and we'll be back.

answer, we bring in experts who do, like resume specialist Morgan Saner. The only difference
between the person who doesn't get the job

Yeah, I think a lot about that quote.
What is it?
Like you miss 100% of the shots you never take.
Yeah, rejection is scary,

This summer, the nation watched as the Republican nominee for president was the target of two
assassination attempts separated by two months. These events were mirrored nearly 50 years ago
when President Gerald Ford faced two
attempts on his life in less than three weeks. President Gerald R. Ford came stunningly close
to being the victim of an assassin today. And these are the only two times we know of that a
woman has tried to assassinate a U.S. president. One was the protege of infamous cult leader
Charles Manson. I always felt like Lynette was kind of his right-hand woman.
The other, a middle-aged housewife working undercover for the FBI
in a violent revolutionary underground.
Identified by police as Sarah Jean Moore.
The story of one strange and violent summer.

I've been thinking about you.
I want you back in my life.
It's too late for that.
I have a proposal for you.
Come up here and document my project.
All you need to do is record everything like you always do.
One session, 24 hours. BPM 110, 120. She's terrified. Should we wake her up? Absolutely not.
What was that? You didn't figure it out? I think I need to hear you say it. That was live audio of a woman's nightmare.
This machine is approved and everything?
You're allowed to be doing this?
We passed the review board a year ago.
We're not hurting people.
There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing.
They're just dreams.

And we're back.
Amazon is trending.
Naughty Bezos.
You know, right now, inflation is killing working people because wages are not going up and on top of that you have gas prices that are like at fuck you levels um and you know
these amazon workers at distribution centers in new york and in dc in the middle of the night
they just they said fuck it we're walking off we're walking out um
until we get three dollar raises so we can have i'd like the bare minimum which is so sad three
dollars that's what's being amazon has three fucking dollars like they should be giving them
twenty dollars raise like this is yeah they're sick a lot of these and again these people they it was pretty
it was coordinated between these two facilities it was like at 4 30 in the morning they said
fuck it we're shutting off the conveyor belts because we cannot be treated like this um yeah
but agreed i you know it's a shame though that barely any of these stories like you're not going
to hear them on cnn or msnbc or fucking fox or just regular cbs news
or whatever and if it is it's gonna be in this the way of like you know like you'll hear people
talk about a strike and then the people like on local news will be like oh well i guess i'm gonna
have to wait a couple days for my package and you're like motherfucker that's not that's what
you took you put yourself you wrap that up by being like, well, I guess I'm not going to get those bamboo straws because my wife doesn't like us to use plastic at home.
So I guess I can wait another couple of days.
It's like we already created this expectation that we need this stuff so immediacy.
So now I'm, you know, also a problem of that culture. But it's like, God, like I would let my packages get here,
you know, a few days later,
if it meant the Amazon workers got paid.
Yeah, how about just like, yeah, Prime fucked up the world.
The concept of Prime.
They're like, but then you get this shit Prime.
That shit comes the next day.
Then what the fuck are we doing?
Yeah, I mean, that's why like I was,
there was like an article that was like, look, you don't need to use Amazon.
Because, like, if you're buying, like, something that's, like, an established brand, they're, like, go to their website.
Chances are they're already going to offer you 20% off just from going, like, I feel like every website's, like, give us your email, man.
We'll give you fucking, like, 20% off, man.
Please just don't go to Amazon.
So try that on.
Pentavorite is trending this is a new
mike myers show i was like i'm not good with words but i know mike myers and i said what else is
going on he's got this new netflix show where he is going to play eight fucking characters
and i'm like okay that's that's actually his bag so go sure let's see it
let's see it yeah it says the characters are ken scarborough an old school canadian news journalist
who sets out to expose the pentavarite and win his job back anthony lands down a new england
conspiracy theorist who is determined to expose the Pentavarite, Rex Smith, a
far-right radio host and highly prominent
conspiracy theorist, Lord
Lordington, the Pentavarite
oldest and highest ranking member,
Bruce Baldwin, former media
mogul, Mishu
Ivanov, you know, my Russian's
not good, ex-Russian oligarch
Shep Gordon, former
rock and roll manager, and Jason Eccleston, a tech genius who invented the pentagram supercomputer mentor.
The trailer is all over.
I mean, yeah, it's all about conspiracy theories.
There's this part of me that I was like, I'm glad that I can see Mike Myers do the multi-people thing.
But I wonder how close together all these characters are.
But whatever.
That's why we're, you know.
Yeah, I'm very curious.
I love a Mike Myers joint.
I, you know, used to be a big Austin Powers fan.
I've probably seen almost anything he's been in.
The Love Guru?
My dad is a huge Mike Myers.
Oh, my God.
My dad took me to theaters.
He was like, we're going to go see The Love Guru.
You, me, and Elijah?
He's like, put your Sunday best on.
We're going to see Love Guru.
Like, that was like, he's like, I'm taking the kids out, and we're going to see The Love Guru.
All right, Love Guru.
A movie you don't want to look back on.
No.
There's a lot of, I mean, look, Mike Myers, I get it.
Like, even Austin Powers, you look back at some of those jokes. Like, bro, you don't have to do all that to my Asian people. back on you're like no there's a lot of i mean look then mike myers i get it like even austin
powers you look back at some of those jokes like bro you don't have to do all that to my
asian people in the third one gold member you're like foxy cleopatra this hey poor beyonce she
took that bag she needed the bag yeah and you know and also that gold member i that people
went for beyonce that's what i'm gonna say in my mind that's what
happened okay there is no there is no austin powers without beyonce okay i said it here we go
um speaking of netflix they're trending because these mother sponsors are um
nah i don't think they've sponsored anything yet um But look, that's what we do out here.
We're still going to talk about this shit.
These fucking people, they are trying to clamp down on us sharing the login information.
Okay?
This is just a fact of life, Netflix.
If there's a password, you're going to share it.
Because somebody needs some help and they need to see a show and you need to get them on the same page as you for the discourse. You're going to share it because somebody needs some help and they need
to see a show and you need to get them on the same page as you for the discourse you're going
to give them the login this is what they're doing this like uh this they're the the director of
product innovation uh in a blog post had posted quote we've always made it easy for people who
live together to share their netflix account with features like separate profiles etc while these have been hugely popular they have also created some confusion about when and how
netflix can be shared as a result accounts are being shared between households impacting our
ability to invest in great new tv and films for our members meaning we can't make more
fucking money if you're broke motherfuckers are sharing
um so the test is now going to be launching unfortunately you're in one of the countries
that they're going to be testing this that's going to be in chile chichi lele costa rica
pura vida and peru they are going to quote uh enable members who share outside their household
to do so easily and securely while also paying a bit more.
So what they're saying is they will create sub accounts.
What does that mean?
Yeah.
Like my thing is like, OK, so my parents have an account.
I am on their account.
I have my own little profile.
Does that mean like now on my devices, I have to pay extra to be a part of that account?
Because you're not in that house. You're not in that household. You may be a part of that family. I don't that account. Because you're not in that house.
You're not in that household.
You may be a part of that family, but you're not in that household.
Yeah, so this is going to allow, the feature is going to be sub-accounts for up to two people they don't live with
to have their own login and password at a lower price.
So they're going to be like, hey man, you want your daughter to be entertained? Give us
four more bucks. That's what
they're trying to do. I hate that.
We just need to find a way to spoof IP addresses
so then that way they just think you're in the same fucking
house. There it is.
Workaround. I don't know if
that's how that works, but that's just me saying
some tech shit I feel like tracks.
Someone
will figure it out yeah exactly thank you super
producer brian says it is i knew brian would help me out here thank you brian so of course it's going
to work just spoof your ip don't let i mean like for real we see how netflix is deficit spending
and now it's our problem exactly and they're evil like all of these streaming companies are evil
they bypass a lot of laws
when it comes to filming and oh yeah wages because like oh this isn't this is streaming actually
they're like they're writing tv caliber shit pay them tv caliber wages and you literally say in
this quote impacting our ability to invest in great new tv and films for our members and yet
where are the wages for the production teams on their shoots?
It's about the criminals.
You're getting us bogged down
with all this
whataboutisms.
Nice try, Putin.
With rights.
No, no.
Nice try, Vladimir.
Not falling for that one.
It's about the criminals,
as we call them.
Anyway,
so that's going to do it
for today.
We are going to be back
tomorrow, obviously,
with a brand new show.
Thanks for checking in.
What was trending?
Obviously, when you're out there, take care of yourselves.
Take care of each other.
You know, don't fucking let anybody do any oppressive, discriminatory, say nothing hateful around you.
Let them know that you are a good person.
And that's all you need to do to get into heaven. Y'all to listen to this podcast.
