Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of Sir, Will You Have the Zeit or the Trend Wine
Tonight? That is courtesy of Johnny Davis, based off our wine conversation a couple episodes ago.
wine conversation a couple couple episodes ago um i am jack you are miles it's a sad day for fans of comedy my messages are full of people just sending each other their favorite norm mcdonald
joke one of my favorites 61 norm passed away at 61 of cancer uh kind of kept it to himself yeah uh man that's kind of bad yeah just one thing i had
no idea that he was battling cancer and maybe he had spoken about it but i up until this time i had
no idea and it's wild to uh yeah i mean i just i i thought his he was really funny on snl and his
style of humor of like like almost like anti-humor was just so
funny um his specials are great yeah he has some of some of my favorite stand-up specials
said he yeah i think he specifically did not want it to get out um and didn't didn't tell anybody
like his whoever spoke on his behalf said that he didn't want people to
change the way they viewed him uh as as he was going through it so um
uh i won't say what the thought i had about the fact that both his name and jim brewer's name are
trending and uh you know what you thought that meant yeah and who i wish was
trending about what anyways um apple 13 uh is trending because the iphone new iphone
announced i don't know it's there's like a string of things that are descriptors then i none of them are movement
moving 13 iphone 13 pro pro max smaller notch a15 bionic chip 120 hertz pro motion new pro cameras
with cinematic video three times optical zoom pro res video improved battery life starting at 999 and 1099 respectively the only ones that
uh mean anything to me um yeah what's it gonna cost i guess improved battery battery life is
also a thing but they say that every fucking year jack and it's usually not really like the battery
life is limited by the size of the battery and the batteries aren't
getting that much better i mean 120 hertz screen i mean come on jack i know you've been complaining
about it you said samsung's been doing this for a while nowionic chip i mean yeah when i see the write-ups and they're really
talking about like what's different i'm like oh okay but i feel like that's what i do every time
i bought a new iphone i'm like oh like let me read all the reviews i'm like oh really that processor
oh shit but at the end of the day all i'm doing is like looking at weird dumb shit on
twitter yeah or like you know and i'm like i didn't need what the whatever it's like it's also
something that's like not totally their fault is like these are basically now appendages like
they're extensions of who we are to the point that like once we get a better one we just like immediately adapt to it
and are not like noticing the things that are better about it but you do want to like add
add something that isn't just a fucking i mean i guess chip with pro res video that's like super
high resolution i guess if you're gonna like cut you know you can you get apple pro res video files
but like i'm not that's not my thing at all anymore uh but i don't know who knows maybe
this is like it's this kind of shit where there's just so much power in a phone where like where i
as i didn't have like a uh like a solid video camera i could use all the time when i was younger
like a like a solid video camera i could use all the time when i was younger this enables you to do a lot more shit but it is what it is john wall is trending the nba like really went through a
period of like there was no new news other than ben simmons we're doing oh right right right yeah
i mean people like got over the lakers being like the fucking
you know one last they pulled me in for one last job space cowboys the nba type shit um
uh the season will be directed by clint eastwood um cool the otherwise it's just been ben simmons shit and like uh you know i i'm sure some philadelphia
76ers fans are getting tired of hearing about that i'll just say that you know well now you
can talk about john wall and where is he gonna go next because that's the the the news now
is that uh him and the rockets they've decided to part ways and they're going to find a way for him to find a new team
this is like the gwyneth paltrow uh conscientious uncoupling of uh somebody like deciding to leave
a team or getting traded it's just like we decided yeah to work together uh we're gonna co-parent
uh our way through a trade a relocation we'll call it um and the plan is for him to be
president training camp but not play in their games uh is a weird is a weird detail i've never
heard of that um this dude though like i only watched one rockets game last season, and he looked awesome in the game.
I saw like, I was like, oh shit.
I think it was early on.
And like he had been out for the whole previous year.
And I was like, damn, he's like still got it.
He's still like really fast and can get to the,
get to the cup really easily.
But, um, well, I mean, I don't know who he,
people think he'll go to the
clippers or the nets you know the lakers come on man he ain't going to the we don't have the money
like it's he literally be like yo i don't know man are you really just down for a chip because
right we can give you like a promo hat for your salary um yeah i don, yeah, I don't know. I think that's, that's most of what Twitter has been saying.
Like a lot of Lakers memes,
um,
about how it's just like,
Oh,
he's going to the Lakers.
Yeah.
Um,
yeah.
I mean,
I could see him going to a team that like,
he gets kind of forgotten about like,
sort of like what Rondo did for y'all a couple playoffs ago where he like,
you know, people were like,
why is he even playing?
He sucks.
But then he's just like a weapon that you can pull out like off the bench
and actually gets it done.
Although I don't think he's Rondo ask in his decision-making,
but I think he's a really good,
you know,
kind of change of pace person to have.
Yeah.
Shout out to John wall.
Uh,
all right,
let's take a quick break.
We'll be right back.
I've been thinking about you.
I want you back in my life.
It's too late for that.
I have a proposal for you.
Come up here and document my project. All you need to
do is record everything like you always do. One session, 24 hours. BPM 110, 120. She's terrified.
Should we wake her up? Absolutely not. What was that? You didn't figure it out? I think I need to hear you say it.
That was live audio of a woman's nightmare.
This machine is approved and everything?
You're allowed to be doing this?
We passed the review board a year ago.
We're not hurting people.
There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing.
They're just dreams.

When you think of Mexican culture, you think of avocado, mariachi, delicious cuisine, and of course, lucha libre.
It doesn't get more Mexican than this.
Lucha libre is known globally because it is much more than just a sport and much more than just entertainment.

It's a dance.

And we're back.
And, you know, as we record this,
the California recall results are not rolling in as of yet
not yet the only thing is that gavin newsom's team is uh saying with 100 certainty that they're
gonna win and that feels like some breakfast shit i heard not breakfast brexit shit um we fucking got this
cut to oh say hello to governor elder uh yeah i don't know i mean it seems the
even like the most cynical polling uh showed him winning so well i don't know what that means uh again we live in an age where
poll like when it comes down to election day suddenly they mean nothing they mean nothing
as opposed and yet you know biden was supposed to fucking rinse trump in the 2020 election
and he needed fake ballots in ari do it. So, who knows?
Yeah, it's already, I don't know.
I mean, there's already talk of voter fraud before it's happened.
Yeah, we talked about that on tomorrow's episode.
Conceding, like, it seems like they've already conceded.
So, clearly their polling wasn't good either.
I'm sure when they were doing some of their phone banking, they're oh you're not gonna what okay okay but it's for but you can get governor
newsom out no trump is not on the ballot right oh fuck all right so yeah uh it seems maybe newsom
has survived uh this this recall but god so many even though like he he's winning there are many people who are like
fuck man what i gotta get off my ass to keep this guy in here but anyways if you listen to this
before uh eod tuesday go get your vote in go get your sticker yeah that's really what it's for
it's all about the sticker on the bat sticker back so I can deploy it at any time.
Just confuse people.
Oh, yeah.
That's the funny thing is, like, I wonder how much voting turnout would change depending
on what the little thing you got is for voting.
Yeah.
When you get there.
Oh, thank you so much for voting.
Would you like a sticker or this half gram joint joint um blueberry kush i think even if they
just like redesigned it like did something cool like had somebody had an artist do something cool
with the sticker so you had like oh limited dish right they're collectible or you make them like
little things you could put on a chain for every election you voted in. You're like, oh, I remember this year.
This is when Virgil designed the challenge coin for that election.
There you go.
Well, speaking of politics, we got Senator Josh Hawley,
who has said that he plans to use procedural tactics to slow walk Biden's foreign policy nominees
unless top officials who oversaw the u.s withdrawal from
afghanistan resign i don't know how much clearer we can make it we just need to end that fucking
filibuster bro yeah i mean also i just love that it's like hey man fuck your foreign policy and
security things because i'm concerned about safety get them to resign and it's a really uh remarkable attempt um to try and like make
something look like a really big deal because right now the republicans have a lot of like
optical baggage as it relates to electability um and they would love nothing more than to turn the
afghanistan withdrawal into some kind of new benghazi but like ignore the fact that
joe biden didn't even fucking start the fucking war although he voted for it like you know how
far back do you go like the who resigns uh at this point but it's all just a bunch of i don't know
again these are the uh obstacles that people have to overcome when it's trying to do normal shit because our whole
two-party system is a mess and finally uh the met gala is all over the socials
miles who is your favorite look my favorite look would probably be uh the facial looks and facial
expressions of zoe kravitz and lewis hamilton the formula one race car driver
when we're not sure who they're looking at but they're pulling like uh oh really is that yeah
and everyone i was like talking to anna we're like oh yeah and tessa thompson so it's test thank you
anna and anna was saying so it's tessa thompson andravitz. They're side by side.
Pullen is just a stank ass face.
But what's so funny is in the corner, Lewis Hamilton is like just behind them.
But the Met Gala logo is kind of like obscuring his face.
But he is truly like mouth agape.
Like, oh, yeah, that's pretty good.
They look unimpressed yeah i'm i don't know what is happening a lot of
people think it's when uh kim kardashian showed up and her like all black everything look um
but i don't know it's cool i i just i just love the the shady looks god i want to see what hamilton looks shocked like it almost looks like you know you know that
scene uh in like uh fucking a die hard with a vengeance when mclean has to walk out there with
that sandwich board in harlem yeah yeah it looks like it's like just rolled up with that yeah
exactly pulled up with that sandwich board is what lewis hamilton's look is like oh
what the hell is this and a lot of people are talking about obviously uh aoc's dress
yeah biggest uh the biggest talk i think in political twitter so she's getting hated on
for wearing a dress that says tax the rich. She is somebody who works to make that a reality.
This is not like she's just showing up and,
uh,
emptily saying tax the rich.
She's also,
as far as I know,
not a rich person.
Uh,
and she is wearing that to a thing full of rich people,
which seems like kind of cool in my book
but of course people uh on all sides like to shit on aoc um so yeah i mean it's it's it's caused so
many different responses like especially like on the left and the right some are just going to be
like on the left on the right it's like oh like you can you got a dress that's fancy i thought you're a poor
socialist right how can you do that right then you know like further on the spectrum to the left you
have people like you know she's taxing the rich but like also you know votes for budgets where
you could do things for people where you didn't have to tax
the rich as much and like it's like okay i guess there's something there but it's just uh who was
it i think like brown and joy gray or something was saying like it's just a rorschach test for
people like you're gonna see what you you're gonna respond how you're gonna want to respond based on
how you feel um and then then there was a shit that this New York Times fashion editor had a tweet that said, you know, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attending the $35,000 ticket Met Gala and saying, would they tax the rich is a, quote, complicated proposition.
Sort of like almost suggesting like that she paid for her ticket to the Met Gala.
Yeah.
I mean, that's the right wing tick, right?
her ticket to the Met Gala?
Yeah. I mean, that's the right wing tick, right?
It's like, well, yeah.
They just assume she is the same as all the people at
the Met Gala. Exactly.
All right. Well, that is our
coverage. I know people
were waiting
for coverage of the Met
Gala. What
will these elder millennials
say about the Met Gala?
Well, now you know. We have the hottest
takes rolling off the presses.
Hottest takes? Oh, man, I don't know.
That's a
wow, really solid
commitment.
Alright, that
is going to do it for
today. We are back tomorrow
with a whole ass episode of the show about that.
Yeah.
Until then,
be kind to each other and be kind to yourselves.
Get the fucking vaccine.
Don't do nothing about white supremacy.
We will talk to you all tomorrow.
Bye.
