Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of the Intrendable Zeitkrawler. Curtis of Dantastic Glasto on Twitter.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Curtis of. What's that? You said Curtis of. Curtis of. Sorry. It's okay. Hey, Curtis of this man. The brain fuck has set in.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Dantastic Glasto. Dantastic Glasto. Wow. Yeah, he said, now that at miles of gray has acknowledged how great Nightcrawler is, this one's for you, buddy. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Shout out to the incredible Nightcrawler. I'm Jack. That is Miles. Yes. And this is going to be a scavenger hunt for all the words that I mispronounce and only pronounce like one syllable of. And you just let me know if you can catch them all. Got to catch them all. Poland is trending.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Not for the reason that I think we all assumed. No, not because Lil Yachty took the walk. It's not the Lil Yachty song. It didn't blow up and cross over. Way more tense situation. and cross over way uh more tense situation allegedly there are reports that two missiles struck a polish like city on the ukraine poland border and two people died the pentagon isn't commenting yet which is interesting a lot of people are saying that these are russian missiles that hit so a lot of people are like tweeting shit like world war three article five but article
Starting point is 00:03:22 five isn't something like that that doesn't happen automatically. They get together and they're like, okay, so it's smoke now? Do we want to go into a hot war with Russia? I'm not sure that's been the case. They would much rather have a proxy war like they're doing currently. Can you explain what Article V is?
Starting point is 00:03:39 Article V is basically saying if there's an attack on one NATO member country, then that means it will incur the wrath of the collective NATO, like there'll be collective nato response right um so that's why i think it who knows what's going on there and the fact that the pentagon hasn't commented seems like there's still information that they're collecting whatever but uh yeah you who knows what is happening there and yeah uh poland unfortunately is now like suffering material loss because of what's happening there yeah some people are so there's like there's a lot of speculation over like the source of like where the missiles came from and i think that's
Starting point is 00:04:16 probably maybe why the pentagon isn't saying anything yet so i'll uh i don't really need to indulge any world war three fantasies right now you You know, I got a lot on my plate, you know, already. Yeah, the Grammy noms came out today. Exactly. Speaking of which. Yeah. Beyonce got nine Grammy noms. Most nominated artist.
Starting point is 00:04:36 She's the most nominated artist this year. I think of all time now. Now becomes the most nominated artist of all time over Jayay-z i think no is that who it is i think so i saw a headline that was like beyonce passes jay-z ties jay-z wow you know what we'll give her the edge there that's wild that they're like this is a moment to step back and be like that's not right that they're married. Also, Jay-Z shouldn't... Look, you haven't done as much Grammy-worthy shit there. I think it's just funny because for a while, so much of the rap category was like, well, we only know these five artists, y'all.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Right. So let's get into it. Kendrick got eight, which of course brought back memories of when Good Kid, Mad City lost to The Heist. The Heist by mclemore that's what i'm saying the joke being here because uh mr around the big steppers is nominated that somehow could you imagine also wait the jack harlow album this one by pusha t hold on mclemore had an album this year kendrick's like sweating he's like no we're still just really the the heist holds up man so we're just still vibing to the heist heist reissue we're fucking with it again
Starting point is 00:05:51 special edition but yeah i mean there's all kinds of i don't know the the the grammys are they've stopped meaning much to me i remember very early when i forget what it was there was like one time i remember this artist I really like didn't get nominated. I was like, y'all don't know shit anymore. Yeah, I think it was like once I got into serious rap, when I entered my serious rap phase and learned that I think he's the DJ. I'm the rapper. Won the first rap Grammy over Public Enemy. I was like, well, this is preposterous.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Well, I'm all about that PE life, but I guess I'll look into this Fresh Prince and see what he's offering. Yeah, not really an award show that I look forward to or pay that much attention to, but there's always like a good musical performance or two afterwards there's like a musical performance or two that they're always very extravagant and there's always a couple that they manage not to fuck up like with their you know production notes and uh very they seem very controlling about all that to the point that like they went to war with Frank Ocean.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Frank's just not that good of a live performer, so we were trying to steer him to something that was going to make more sense to him. Because I do remember he had a performance that I was like, this does not feel like he was set up to succeed. I wonder if it could have been that he had a bunch of old-ass Grammy producers talking down to him and he's a generational genius.
Starting point is 00:07:30 That might throw you off your game a little bit. I think they'll be a good performance. They're due for one. Wasn't the... They did WAP last year. And Ben Shapiro almost. He was like, the coming of the demon world is upon us!
Starting point is 00:07:45 You're like, yeah, okay, bring it then. I'll fuck with these demons. Yeah. Maybe a collaboration with Ben Shapiro and like his head explodes on stage. Dude, could you imagine if they brought like a fake Ben Shapiro, like an effigy and just like threw ass at him the whole time?
Starting point is 00:08:01 He's like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Harry Styles, Harry's house, massive, got nominated. Exciting times. Yeah, we'll tune in to the Twitter clips. If Twitter's around even. Who knows? Over, under. Will Twitter be around when the Grammys happen?
Starting point is 00:08:21 That is our third trending story. Twitter continues to be trending for the wrong reasons. Two-factor authentication is failing. There's a lot of people saying, if you're on Twitter, stay on Twitter, essentially. Stay in line. If you log out,
Starting point is 00:08:38 you can't log back in. Oh, shit. Look, like I said in this morning's episode i've i feel like we're due for seeing it like the first bits of the wheel starting to blow off this week it feels like especially with like people now we're there's other things that were being reported that people who got spicy on like slack at twitter lost their jobs because they're like a motherfucker due to your recent behavior we have to part ways with so it sounds like everybody's just up out of there we're getting
Starting point is 00:09:11 fired yeah um seems like a good manager though i mean this should really a lot of people have said this bezos zuckerberg fucking musk boy they're all they're like yeah i gotta fire 10 000 people for some shit like that that's just showing you how quickly for all the talks of like i'm building this in this amazing business and then in a fucking snap of the fingers you're like yeah man i don't know 10 000 people don't have a job anymore because that's how i keep the stock price up y'all okay and i don't and i don't fucking think twice because i look at my bank account and my bald head and i feel good yeah that seems to be you know we've talked about before that like studies into how ceos become multi multi-billionaires it always comes back to them
Starting point is 00:09:58 being very skilled predators and finding an advantage and continuing to exploit a like power or a contract advantage that they have over somebody else. And, you know, it's just shrewdness and it has nothing to do with, you know, creativity or skill really. It's just waiting, waiting for the right moment to strike. There there's actually, actually, you know, I don't ride super hard for Malcolm Gladwell, but he has a article in the New Yorker that's just a look at a handful of Jack Welch biographies that are coming out. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:35 When I was young, I remember seeing these Jack Welch, like Jack's Way, like Jack's Way or the Highway, like these books that were like these CEO biographies about how this guy who took over General Electric, what was a massive company already, like Jack's Way or the Highway, like these books that were like these CEO biographies about like how this guy who took over General Electric while it was a massive company already was like such a genius and like this, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:54 turned into this spiritual guru for like businessmen. And this review of these biographies like basically comes to the conclusion that he's just like a monster who like loves firing people. That's all it is. They're like, huh.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Weird. When you actually look at the events that happen in here, he seems like just a bad, very selfish, mean person. Just weird. Anyways, let's take a quick break.
Starting point is 00:11:25 We'll be right back. Hey, I'm Gianna Pradente. And I'm Jemay Jackson-Gadsden. We're the hosts of Let's Talk Offline, a new podcast from LinkedIn News and iHeart Podcasts. When you're just starting out in your career, you have a lot of questions. Like, how do I speak up when I'm feeling overwhelmed?
Starting point is 00:11:47 Or, can I negotiate a higher salary if this is my first real job? Girl, yes! Each week, we answer your unfiltered work questions. Think of us as your work besties you can turn to for advice. And if we don't know the answer, we bring in experts who do. Like resume specialist Morgan Saner. The only difference between the person who doesn't get the job and the person who gets the job is usually who applies. Yeah, I think a lot about that quote.
Starting point is 00:12:12 What is it like you miss 100 percent of the shots you never take? Yeah, rejection is scary, but it's better than you rejecting yourself. Together, we'll share what it really takes to thrive in the early years of your career. Without sacrificing your sanity or sleep. Listen to Let's Talk Offline on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Jess Costavetto, executive producer of the hit Netflix documentary series, Dancing for the Devil, the 7M TikTok cult. And I'm Clea Gray, former member of 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast,
Starting point is 00:12:48 Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and LA-based Shekinah Church, an alleged cult that has impacted members for over two decades. Jessica and I will delve into the hidden truths between high control groups and interview dancers,
Starting point is 00:13:04 church members, and others whose lives and careers have been impacted just like mine. Through powerful, in-depth interviews with former members and new, chilling firsthand accounts, the series will illuminate untold and extremely necessary perspectives. Forgive Me For I Have Followed will be more than an exploration. It's a vital revelation aimed at ensuring these types of abuses never happen again. Listen to Forgive Me For I Have Followed on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Keri Champion, and this is Season 4 of Naked Sports, where we live at the intersection of sports and culture.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Up first, I explore the making of a rivalry. Kaitlyn Clark versus Angel Reese. I know I'll go down in history, people are talking about women's basketball just because of one single game. Every great player needs a foil. I ain't really near them boys, I just come here to play basketball every single day and that's what I focus on. From college to the pros, Clark and Reese have changed the way we consume women's sports. Angel Reese is a joy to watch. She is unapologetically Black. I love her. What exactly ignited this fire?
Starting point is 00:14:11 Why has it been so good for the game? And can the fanfare surrounding these two supernovas be sustained? This game is only going to get better because the talent is getting better. This new season will cover all things sports and culture. Listen to Naked Sports on the Black Effect Podcast Network,
Starting point is 00:14:27 iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. The Black Effect Podcast Network is sponsored by Diet Coke.
Starting point is 00:14:34 I've been thinking about you. I want you back in my life. It's too late for that. I have a proposal for you. Come up here
Starting point is 00:14:43 and document my project. All you need to do is record everything like you always do. One session, 24 hours. BPM 110, 120. She's terrified. Should we wake her up? Absolutely not. What was that? You didn't figure it out? I think I need to hear you say it. That was live audio of a woman's nightmare. This machine is approved and everything? You're allowed to be doing this? We passed the review board a year ago.
Starting point is 00:15:15 We're not hurting people. There's nothing dangerous about what you're doing. They're just dreams. Dream Sequence is a new horror thriller from Blumhouse Television, iHeartRadio, and Realm. Listen to Dream Sequence on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And we're back.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Wasn't, uh, uh, sorry, I was just remembering, Alec Baldwin's character on 30 Rock was like loosely based on Jack Welch, right? Yeah, I think, I think that's right. At least that was like part of the inspiration.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Yeah. I felt like, yeah, I mean looming because there's always like nods to the General Electric thing as his character. But anyway,
Starting point is 00:16:01 yeah. It ends with an anecdote of where he, like meeting with a biographer uh and then they like drive home from the golf club he did a lot of his business on the golf course you won't believe it and he just decides to drive down the middle of the road and everybody has to like just get out of his way i think he's like a little drunk like that's just and he's just obliviously driving down the middle of the road and it's unclear if it's because of
Starting point is 00:16:28 cognitive decline but he seems to just that is a defining story of who this person was anyways if only we could stop getting mind fucked by narcissists
Starting point is 00:16:43 who just use their cult of personality to exploit the American dream. Hey, look at this. So Trump is expected to announce his third run for president tonight, possibly. And his family chose this day
Starting point is 00:17:01 to sign a deal with a Saudi real estate company to license its name to a housing and golf complex that will be built in Oman, which there's a lot of questions about former President Donald Trump's mixing of politics and business, specifically with regards to Saudi money. and yeah he appears to be doing that again doesn't really give a shit um you know driving down the middle of the road without noticing anybody honking and swerving out of the way and like crashing into trees because he's just like because he can't basically yeah that's part of the fun yeah i mean i i think they're just further and further uh getting entrenched uh with trump we'll see if that that pays off you know yeah come 2024 but i don't know i don't know i don't may want to may want to hold back on signing some deals first but i mean we'll see man i'm i'm really curious what this announcement looks like like what the fuck he says he's's going to say the dumbest shit. Like being like, and I'm running and I'm more powerful.
Starting point is 00:18:08 And Ron DeSantis, he can barely do sex like a normal guy. And you're like, what? Where did that come from? Oh, I found out some stuff. I've got my own dossier. Back to Twitter and people's susceptibility to the cult of personality. Did you see frequent contributor to the show,
Starting point is 00:18:27 Christy Yamaguchi-Mains, a place that he works that had a dude calling them. Basically, the person had heard that the car company he worked for had pulled ads from Twitter since Musk bought it,
Starting point is 00:18:43 which is true of like most companies like right to the point that he's now like advertising with spacex on twitter uh but this person was just like why so you hate free speech you hate america i'm not gonna i'm not gonna buy one of your cars and just like having i was in the market too i was like i love that i i heard that call that uh christy was like tagged us in and it really it has such it was such caring energy you know like this this like weird version of i'm the customer so prepare to experience abuse or like whatever i say no matter how asinine you have to actually entertain my idea. And it's just funny when someone starts off being like, just so you know, I'm in the market for a $35,000 car. And I don't know what that means to your billion dollar industry, but I'm in the market for one of these tiny little four wheel cars.
Starting point is 00:19:40 So you better get the CEO on the phone unless they want this 35 000 to walk it's like motherfucker they don't give a shit about you you didn't even get to that part of your learning where you realize you are insignificant to begin with but i love when you get so fox brained when it's like oh yeah they won't advertise on twitter then they're the bad guys truly trying to let me speak to your manager to American capitalism, like trying to get to the top of the heap. You idiot. It's like that stupid
Starting point is 00:20:12 thing where the astronauts are like looking out and one astronaut's looking back at Earth and the other one has a gun to him and it's like, wait, there's no manager to speak with? And the other astronaut's like, there never was, man, just so you know. Republican leader Kevinarthy won the nomination tuesday for house speaker which is just the first step to becoming like the actual speaker of the house again but yeah i mean this is he he was kind of
Starting point is 00:20:37 pitching himself in addition to being a trump bootlicker who sorted his starburst for him right wasn't that kevin mccarthy oh yeah picked all the good ones out for him yeah yeah he loves the pink and red he's also like trying to put himself as like the centrist alternative to mega republicans after the big losses in the midterm yeah and seems like that's working out for him he was up against i think a more a further right like an andy biggs yeah yeah who's an absolute jan 6 rah-rah type guy who like many are like when are they gonna find out what he was doing right but yeah it'll be i'm curious to see because this is like the first fight right of establishment versus the people on the fringes of the already weird fringe party like since the
Starting point is 00:21:26 midterms yeah yeah yeah 188 to 31 votes right so that's pretty that's pretty handy uh so yeah we'll see how that continues because now you sure we're all waiting to see how the maga infighting shakes out um and finally liberty council has released their holiday boycott list so conservatives know which woke capitalists not to support. And it's great because their whole thing is just based on whether or not they acknowledge
Starting point is 00:21:55 Christ's dominion or not. Basically, because it'll be like Bath and Body Works. Nice. When navigating to the Bath and Body Works website, immediately shoppers are met with Christmas cheer. The website decorated for Christmas and shoppers are encouraged to find out what Christmas smells like.
Starting point is 00:22:12 This company is clearly not afraid to say the word. Okay? Then you have like so basically, if you use the word Christmas, then you are nice. But if you say fucking holidays, you are fucked up and going to hell so for example uh burlington coat factory made the naughty list featuring quote hot holiday
Starting point is 00:22:35 deals and gift cards emphasizing quote happy holidays in addition they lack any emphasis on gift giving for the season and the severe lack of christmas advertising with biblical meaning each ad or marketing concept starts with christmas blah blah blah blah blah and then they give you a number it's like please call uh customer service at this number to tell them you have nothing better to do and that this is actually how you will combat uh inequality or whatever existential dread you have just dial call j crew and tell them to stop using holly there are no references to christmas or any biblical elements within product associations and advertisements couldn't they have shown joseph rocking a nice pair of chinos like the you know
Starting point is 00:23:15 could you imagine or then would they get mad right if you did a nativity scene and the whole fucking family is dripped out head to toe in you know fucking tj maxx type shit because again tj maxx also naughty no reference to christmas only a handful of quote holiday references this is not good walgreens they say holiday it's just all it's it's hard out there yeah to watch somebody cling to a dwindling brand. It is kind of wild that so many of these stores do reference Christmas, like kind of put their head down and just go hard on Christmas. Like Sears still out here. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Walmart still out here. Oh, good. Using Christmas. Thank God for Menards also. Yes. Yes. All right. Well, those are some of the things that are trending
Starting point is 00:24:05 on this Tuesday afternoon. We are back tomorrow with a whole ass episode of the show. Until then, be kind to each other. Be kind to yourselves. Get the booster.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Get the flu shot. Don't do nothing about white supremacy. And we will talk to you all tomorrow. Bye. Bye. Bye. 7M Films and Shekinah Church. And we're the host of the new podcast, Forgive Me For I Have Followed. Together, we'll be diving even deeper into the unbelievable stories behind 7M Films and Shekinah Church.
