i thought it was a sketch i really was like yo these deep fakes are getting really good
yeah right well yeah we'll get into some of those moments that are so the camera work really too
felt like yeah there was like some off the show like suddenly things
weren't on sticks anymore it were like on the shoulder cameraman like quick just tightening
in on the documents that's just like oh just really aggressive bar graph and he's like there's
your proof and he's like uh that were the worst right right and and the the graphs that he was
using looked like some shit that like my two-year-old would be using in class.
It was just shapes with colors.
That was the first giveaway for me.

with a cursory glance at his upbringing well i found first of all that his family had a fucking

like i feel like diamonds i can at least feel okay, they're from a modern time where people still buy and wear diamonds, obviously.

and so i mean it's just funny how like but now i come back and like i'm loving so much like modern

there mostly ranma i love rama and dragon ball uh and like any toriyama
stuff yeah of course um i read i was reading the ranma manga when i was a kid and i didn't even
know it had an anime until like a few years ago right right yeah yeah but i grew up with all this
stuff and just like high school and college took uh took like an eight-year hiatus from watching because i
thought all my friends were like hated it and then of course now i find out they were all watching it
in secret like i was yeah yeah yeah what's uh for somebody who's not into anime what's a what's like
the best and anime gateway drug like what's the what's the one to start them off on i generally like to
recommend uh fully coolly which is six episodes and it does not make sense so you don't actually
have to okay it does make sense but it doesn't make sense on the first watch so you don't
actually have to be that engaged and it's just a lot of cool action and animation um so it's just
like a nice little intro piece
that doesn't take up too much of your time.

are the ways to solve racial problems,

about to die if i saw that shit coming for me yeah this year feels like it's written by like
a tv writer like so much shit like seeing the police hand out fireworks to everybody
and then they're just blowing off,
making it sound like we're in the Middle East
and then a fireworks factory in the Middle East explodes.
It just feels like a Chekhov's gun type of thing.
And super producer Anna Hosnia just pointed out
that a lot of the people who live in Beirut already have PTSD from combat that's just going on around them constantly.

All right. that seems like it was written by a different type of TV writer. This Trump interview with Jonathan Swan
that is too dumb for an episode of Veep.

It has everything that needs to be a comedy comedy it has like you you feel like jonathan

over the shoulder shot right he's starting um i don't think so yeah they're like i've

rallies in the country um so it's just gonna be like it's truly going to be like a super spreader
event like if there is an outbreak there and you have people essentially representing most of the
contiguous 50s the states 48 states um yeah it's just this flyer is too crowded for me like yeah the flyer that they put out is
oh you know like the aesthetic it's just it's so busy there's so much going on it feels like just
the band names are too close together yeah the i'm like the art is really interesting. It looks like some kind of demon with a Casey Jones hockey mask on with an American flag.
Which, at this point, is just like hate speech.

because there's no accountability for the Oklahoma rally, the Tulsa rally that Trump had
that probably killed Herman Cain. It was a bunch of people really close together,
indoors, not wearing masks.
But people are like, yeah, but we can't know for sure where people got sick.
Right.
And he was like, yeah, there was an uptick in coronavirus,
but it was like one month, two months, three months later.
It's like, we're not even three months later now.

owned toy store in my neighborhood that has been open for 33 years that is going out of business oh it is
yeah i know exactly what you're talking about really yeah yeah that one's gone out of business
uh they already closed the one that's like toys for older kids that's like two windows down and
the other one is now just like everything must go 50 off but um, I mean, a lot of these places that are retail, small shop little areas
are going to be like ghost towns. I don't necessarily blame the landlords because landlords
are also need their income. But it seems like there needs to be some... That's the thing that
you're starting to hear from people just in polls is we need something like some overall plan from the federal government because
like what what's the what's going to happen to these stores like what once things open back up
like what who yeah all these businesses that have been successful businesses for 33 years are gone. And who's going to replace them?
The mega corporations.
Right.
Is it all?
Is there just going to be-
That's just massive wealth redistribution.
Amazon is just going to own all the, it's just going to be all Amazon stores?
Well, I think the problem, to your point of the suck starts at the top with the banks
or whoever owns a lot of these mortgages which is the reason
why people need to pay a landlord because they're most landlords are paying their mortgage like
you're paying their mortgage so they don't not many landlords own their building and it's like
fully on some passive income type thing it's like yeah this is like i'm kind of caught up in this
cycle so like you're with me too but see if your checks start then i can't kick up to the bank so
that's why i gotta get you out and see if i can get somebody in and yes this is a short-term strategy
but yes you'd hope the federal government would look at that and say okay we need to work something
out with the people who own most of these loans and talk to them and say we need to put this shit
on pause for at least two to three months and not even and it's not even like collect your what you
are owed for these two three months
we are going to have to eat this yeah two to three months i don't think they see how the short term
plays out in the long term and like we're absolutely just building another housing bubble
once again and the exact same shit is going to happen you know america is just going to be
like a haunted landscape after this shit because like think about like all those malls are just going to be
empty like Lorden like
who's going to move into a Lorden Taylor
sized like footprint on
it right a mall like that's just going to be
I'll admit it is like we want to open
another Macy's on the other side
of this right but it's like
Macy's is probably get like all they're not doing
that great yeah all these stores are going to
go away like if this keeps going and the federal government doesn't like have a plan to like, you know, help companies or help like these, especially small businesses out.
It's just going to look like a fucking apocalypse.

I'm curious to know if anyone has any information on what the attitudes are, because I think like and I always say this just from a purely business standpoint, you think look if we can just put we just put this shit on pause for four months straight up
like is there a way to actually not cause all this strife and damage to the economy and keep
people in their jobs if we did this the right way and why aren't we looking at it like that because
I'm sure a lot of these companies like, fine, yeah, maybe Trump will get people
back to work and our stores can reopen.
But it's like consumer confidence is low.
People don't want to go out to the mall and do anything like that.
I mean, some people do, but it's not going to be the same where you think, what is the
best strategy as a business?
Do we talk to them and say, we got to figure out a way to just as if we're just putting
pause on everything?
Not it's a violent sort of deconstruction
of everything that has already been existing prior to this i mean epidemiologists are saying just do
a nationwide 14-day shutdown again just everything's closed for those 14 days but they're
not even willing to do that like they they just won't eat the two weeks of like lost economy. Because many people are like the polling reflects and now a majority of Americans want a strategic plan that is nationwide to address this.
Because now people are like, wow, I think now it's like reaching that tipping point where now people who weren't as engaged with the politics of it and the nuances that are like, yo, I'm actually thinking of a better way to do this and i'm not even an expert right yeah i'm just
like passively observing this and like this is not right yeah i mean there are so many better
ways to do first of all how many how many billions of dollars has uh jeff bezos made since he made
13 billion in a day has there been a discussion of that five i mean like yeah like how are we not
how are we not even looking a little bit to somebody like that to say like could you give
up just like a couple billion right just toss that back or how about this be like hey asshole
you made 13 billion in one day okay we're gonna take that day from you yeah just yeah just eat
that sorry sorry you only worked or you didn't really work,
but your bank account existed for only 364 days this year.

You know what I mean?
His ex-wife donated $1.5 billion to a Black Lives Matter charity,
and two days later, she had already replaced that
just with gains from Amazon stock growth,
like just in two days.

So that's the other thing.
So when you look at what we do,

we have all these people
that are hoarding wealth.
It's not going back into the economy.
It's not accessible to people
who are trying to enter
a new socioeconomic class.
It's just not there because they're sitting on it. And if we don't have the kind of leaders who are trying to enter a new socioeconomic class. It's just not there because they're sitting on it.
And if we don't have the kind of leaders
who are going to actually sort of clearly look at that
as an issue and say, yeah, the problem is
there are too few people with all the money.
So, sorry, we're going to have to, you know,
you're going to have to run that.
We need some money now.

Is that not any indication anybody that
it's not based on anything also if you can rate replace 1.5 billion dollars in a couple days
right does that not clue you in that like this shit isn't really real yeah you know mckenzie
scott actually gave uh the money to historically black colleges and other groups it was 1.7 billion just to wow okay
make sure i get that right yeah it's a it's a problem things it's not it's not working the
system's not working and this is just you know like we said at the outset this is like a stress
test for you know when they when they want to see how healthy your heart is so they put you on a
treadmill and make you walk uphill for a mile like Like the, that is this for our country.
And we're like three steps,

three steps in and leading from the eyes.

Issue is it definitely is working,
but this is kind of how it's designed,

And we're having a hard time of pivoting away from that to have purely productivity-based automatons clocking in and out, watching revenue come in and out, to something more humane of like, wow, this is really fucked up.
of like wow this is really fucked up like yeah but you know most people in this country are not able to survive even not working for five days uh yeah so what are we going to do and i mean
i mean there there is more momentum gaining for people sort of engaging with the ideas of
universal basic income and things like that because, like when you're working like a full on a minimum wage job and,
or,
and you have multiple jobs,
that is not a life.
That's not a way to live.
It's a struggle and it's painful.
And it's unfortunately how this,
this country just sort of looks at what the human experience should be.
It's like,
well,
they're working.
It's that hard work.
You know,
you got to work hard.
It's means like,
no,
no,
no,
they can't see their families.
They can't, they don't have any time for themselves they are stressed their health is in decline that is not a way to live that is just people being run ragged for the sake of maximum you
know revenue extraction yeah it's it's so morbidly funny to me that just like people are now being
booted out of their jobs by automation and they're not given a safety net to replace that income
and now those robots that are taking their jobs are producing products that nobody needs
right just like shit that goes into a fucking infomercial and they're just like okay who is
buying no they're going straight to a landfill right we're trying to create demand for a product
that barely replaces a toothbrush yeah you know You know? Yeah. And now,
and purely the capitalist machine
just like feeding into itself
and providing for no one.
Just give these oligarchs,
just take their money,
give them a nice prize.
