Hello, the Internet, and welcome to this episode of Victor Went Trendyama.
Oh.
Switch it up on you.
I'm just going to keep doing variations.
Switch it up on ya.
Yeah, yeah.
My name is Jack.
That is Miles.
Yep.
These are some of the things that are trending.
Let's kick it off with Draymond.
Draymond Green.
We found out that he punched his teammate jordan
pool in the face but it was text first and we just knew that it happened and then the video leaked
tmz dropping that's the first big bomb from tmz for the sports world that i i can remember where
i was like oh well the robert tapes. Was that, was that them?
No,
I don't know.
I don't know.
I,
maybe I just don't generally pay attention.
I just was like,
dude,
I feel like he's getting a lot of excited on a lot of places for this one.
For some reason,
I'm,
I'm convinced that Varys from game of Thrones runs TMZ because how the fuck
did you get that footage from inside the practice gym
so clean it must have
been what do you think that's the video guys leaving the
cameras on or there are like state like
I'd imagine to there are probably fixed cameras
on the court just to passively
record what's happening on the court too
all practices for sure
so was that the tape guy
was it a security guard
or this okay or there's a few
theories did the golden state warriors leak that to make to make it seem like well you saw what
draymond oh that's interesting because we gotta pick one we gotta i was gonna say the however
however tmz got their hands on it like they did somebody dirty because someone's getting fired
over that shit getting leaked but maybe unless unless they are playing 4d chess draymond is in a contract year and they're
like i don't know man you saw this right yeah and that's why we like this young guy who's on the way
up yeah so jordan pool but i don't know so this is is the Golden State Warriors. They won the title last year.
Draymond Green is like the third,
like he's the person who like doesn't fill up the stat sheet as much.
Right.
Energetically overwhelms you.
Energetically and defensively, like when he's playing well is one of the biggest difference makers like on the team
in the league like just and and when he was out with a back injury last season they went from
being world beaters to being like sub 500 i believe corner criers yeah they they were not
doing very well then he came back and they won the title and so so he's definitely very important
to the team i personally responded to this video very selfishly and was like you know
you hate to see it but we would take either of these guys on the philadelphia 76ers i'm calling
draymond now.
Yeah.
And I'm just going through the phone book,
hoping I get the right Draymond Green.
I mean, I would love to see Jordan Poole on the Lakers. A shooter who can pull up from anywhere.
Just stop.
Just stop.
Can we stop?
Can we stop?
That's not real.
That's never going to fucking happen.
I know.
We focus on trying to make Russell Westbrook work.
Okay?
Yeah.
But it's nice and slow boil.
You can tell they're talking shit to each other.
Then Draymond gets in Jordan Poole's face
and Jordan Poole pushes him off.
And then Draymond really throws a sucker punch,
connects, and it's messy. it is not what you want to see
your team going through the nba off season has been fantastic if only there was a very stupid
podcast where you could follow along yeah with a couple nba fans like miles and jack up matt
boosties miles jack up matt boosties drops every thursday um miles back miles jack up matt boosties got Matt Boosty's. Miles and Jack got Matt Boosty's. Drops every Thursday. Miles and Jack got Matt Boosty's. Drops every Thursday.
Miles and Jack. I can see it's a tongue twister.
Head on. Apply directly
to the head. Yeah.
There you go. But yeah.
I'm sure this story will develop
because God.
They only do.
Draymond has been the
source of controversy and behind
the scenes rumors about he's not getting along with Kevin Durant at the end of that dynasty, two-year dynasty.
So we'll see.
I don't know.
But it's wild because I remember I was talking to a Golden State Warriors fan last year heading into the playoffs.
And he was like, yeah, Jordan jordan pool thinks he's too good
they're not feeling jordan pool who was like i will take this man off your hand please i will
take this man on it to a steak dinner i will on a date we'll do whatever it takes please i love
jordan pool yeah yeah although i mean because that's why like because what iggy came out and
he's like no dude do not i'm I'm not here with all this stuff.
Like he got too big for his britches.
He's like, that's not what this is.
So I don't know.
Much intrigue.
Palace intrigue.
Speaking of intrigue, the aliens who watch us from a distance are tuning back in because the doomsday clock is ticking closer to midnight, which this is a I'm pretty sure this is a bullshit like media story,
but I think the intent is in the right place,
which is to point out how crazy it is that we continue to live in a world
where there is a loaded gun pointed at all of our heads at all times,
but we're just kind of used to it at this point and also like
we don't have anything to do with pulling the trigger or aiming them so we're like i don't know
fine yeah what do you want me to fucking do about it okay i didn't know we were now approaching
midnight yeah and i think that the story about like one of the big stories that got picked up
was that the u.s bought a bunch of uh radiation anti-radiation
drugs after putin up to nuclear threats but apparently they have been investing in anti-radiation
drugs for a long time and they just like switched from one type of drug to another and they claim
it's unrelated but then biden came out with the this is the closest we've been to nuclear armageddon right i mean it's it's one of
those things too where they're despite the threats like from a you know like a tactical standpoint
many people are like well you're not going to win the fucking war by using tactical nukes so that
doesn't solve your like terrible momentum issue in terms of like
warfare.
And I only imagine the sanctions and like other,
you know,
being labeled a pariah state,
like fully probably doesn't help,
but I don't know,
man,
this is what's so fucked up about like fucking war.
And now the whole thing is,
Hey man,
if we lose,
we're,
we've,
we've invaded this country and your weapons that you're giving them are very
effective. And if you don't let up, we're going to start and your weapons that you're giving them are very effective and if you don't let up we're going to
start using nuclear weapons
yeah
who knows if he's like behind the scenes in his
palace like staying 12
feet away from everybody being like
their fluids are impure
like the general who goes
crazy in Dr. Strangelove you know
we just don't know
we don't know and it's there's nothing just we just don't know we don't know
and it's just there's nothing we can do about it so we don't have to worry about it but don't have
to worry about it unless you see a big bright flash yeah in which case fuck it man duck your
head and kiss someone so who was it i forget who it was i think it was trash jones on twitter
tweeted something about like man i heard like like if there is a nuclear strike, like
they're about to hit you with a 10 minute warning.
Yeah.
And it was like, nah, man, fuck that. Like, don't even
tell me. Don't give me 10 minutes of like
fucked up. Like,
yeah, yeah. Those are the
sorts of thoughts that people are going through.
Hey, and what a great time
to fill people's heads with more
chaotic thinking. Damn. a great time to fill people's heads with more chaotic thinking
damn what a time to be briefly alive all right john stewart is trending uh because this is the
best john stewart i've seen since the days of the daily show he had an interview with um the
attorney general of arkansas attorney general leslieledge. Arkansas. And he just, you know, it's a long interview, but it's pretty, I don't know, informative.
It's quick.
Yeah.
And convincing.
It's a clip from his show, The Problem with Jon Stewart.
it's it's like wild and you're like damn this fuck this guy who's you know originally a comedian just has to complete this repeatedly hammers into the dumb logic of this person who's basically
this whole interview is around denying like gender affirming care for kids they've made it illegal
to yes uh you cannot do it and it's not an option we don't give a fuck what every expert
says what every medical organization says about this topic about gender dysmorphia and which gives
conservatives this whole you know line of being like well we're doing it to protect kids i'll
play a snippet of it because it really is compelling he does not he stays just focused
yeah you know and does not allow this person to use their fucking weird
scattershot logic about you know denying kids fucking health care uh and this is just
he he's he moves on to like an analogy here metaphor basically being like okay you're saying
you don't want to talk about which medical organizations to listen to in this aspect. What
if it were a different topic? Let's say this were pediatric cancer. Let's have a thought experiment
here. And this is just a short clip from that. A child is suffering from pediatric cancer.
And the state comes in and says to you, they recommend chemotherapy, but we're not going to
let you do that. You can't. We think you should get a different opinion
and here's the organization
we think you should get the opinion from.
They're not the mainstream
but they're an organization.
So that's who you have to be treated by.
Does that sound like something you would accept?
Well, I think that's a very extreme example
that's not at all in line with what we're talking about.
We're not saying that at some point,
because when you have cancer, it literally
is, particularly pediatric
cancer, and having friends that have lost children
to pediatric cancer, having a four-year-old,
I'm sure... I've got some bad news for you.
Parents with
children who have gender dysphoria
have lost children.
It goes on. It's very... This whole...
I can't, like, if you have time to look at this
clip it's going around everywhere it's just such a great just fucking talking to someone who is
using the just most asinine reasoning to be like i'm ignoring the american you know pediatrics
association or the endocrine society things like this because hate yeah yeah yeah and she keeps talking around it and he keeps
coming back to logic and yeah it's strong yeah some people are like man you got to give it up
to rutledge for just be like you know being up for the challenge of letting john stewart just
rip your face off on camera like that yeah it wouldn't have been as effective if
she hadn't sat in and continued to be wrong with a straight face just over and over again you know
like that this is where trump gets up after two minutes of of this interview and pulls off his
microphone but yeah she she really just stuck in there and was like yeah i mean you you have uh
facts clearly on your side.
At one point, she says, I didn't know this was going to be a Supreme Court argument here today.
Oh, you mean like that's a really good way to diminish what's happening there.
He he he asks her for the like whose medical advice she is following when she makes this illegal.
She's like, I'm sorry, I don't have their name.
I didn't know this was going to be a Supreme Court argument i'm going to use that from now on sorry i don't have the name of that i didn't know
all right brett kavanaugh when did i wash it when did i do the dishes i soaked them a while
but i don't know that i didn't know this is supreme court argument
just got to use it very disingenuously from now on.
All right.
Let's take a quick break.
We'll be right back to talk about the Try Guys.
Still.
Yeah.
Let's do it.
Hey, I'm Gianna Pradente.
And I'm Jemay Jackson-Gadsden.
We're the hosts of Let's Talk Offline,
a new podcast from LinkedIn News and iHeart Podcasts.
When you're just starting out in your career,

like how do I speak up when I'm feeling overwhelmed?
Or can I negotiate a higher salary
if this is my first real job?
Girl, yes.
Each week, we answer your unfiltered work questions. Think of us as
your work besties you can turn to for advice. And if we don't know the answer, we bring in experts
who do, like resume specialist Morgan Saner. The only difference between the person who doesn't
get the job and the person who gets the job is usually who applies. Yeah, I think a lot about
that quote. What is it like you miss 100% of the shots you never take?
Yeah, rejection is scary, but it's better than you rejecting yourself.
Together, we'll share what it really takes to thrive in the early years of your career without sacrificing your sanity or sleep.

From college to the pros,
Clark and Reese have changed the way we consume women's sports.
Angel Reese is a joy to watch.
She is unapologetically black.
I love her.
What exactly ignited this fire?
Why has it been so good for the game?

And we're
back, and
these dang Try Guys, man,
they're really
putting a lot of effort into
dealing with this story
in a way that is...
I don't know. How have they
gotten this much press momentum out of this?
Like, I'm I understand all the dynamics at work here.
The lack of moral scruples on the part of Ned and, you know, not not only, you know, probably weaponizing or using his like status to probably engage in an extramarital affair with an
employee or a subordinate and,
you know,
the potential loss or,
you know,
the hit to the try guys career.
But every day there's like a fucking like variety or some places like
exclusive try guys speak out about this or this.
The latest thing is quote,
the try guys detail,
Ned Fulmer's ousting
a new podcast episode quote we went through every stage of grief then they said it was a trauma for
them if you're like and we were talking about this other day it's like y'all don't know okay
so none nothing means anything anymore yeah you don't know what trauma is you uh but we did watch
them go through the stages of grief that like at least a couple of them on
in this video where they were like you know we're coping we're coping with this and just uh it's
like we were talking before we started recording so producer brian was like what
event would this actually be an appropriate response to? You mean like having this much nonstop,
like what were they thinking?
What happened?
And them being like, what were we thinking?
What happened is a question
that we've all got to ask ourselves.
If Tucker Carlson had a human soul
and found out that he had inspired the mass shooter i think he inspired the uh
new zealand mosque mass shooter like maybe that would have been like it's kind of what you would
hope for when a like white supremacist or you know a fascist is faced with the fact the consequence
of their actions like maybe you know kyle rittenhouse just coming
out and being like yeah you know and then like a long sort of reckoning where you see the wheels
turning and a re-education happening yeah i don't know i i might be this out of touch with me the mainstream which is fine uh but i also just
like this is all i mean they must have a fantastic publicist they must all this must be a like a
fucking six alarm fire for their fucking bags because they're like we're about to fumble the
fucking bag i think it's gotta be that they have a big money-making machine in place
because they are a brand.
Isn't that like, was he the John Lennon or something of it?
Like, by being like, yo, we still good.
We still good even without him.
But aren't they, they're like sponsored content, right?
Yeah, they do a ton of sponsored content.
Yeah, they do a bunch of sponsored content.
So there's just a lot of people losing money.
And also people who work in the media are inundated with like pr like
drops and publicity announcement and like press releases and shit like that that come from a
world that thinks the try guys are the beatles you know right like right right right for whom
like this is the holy grail because they really like
you know figured out how to make a lot of money with zero talent um yeah and so i don't know
it's getting clicks and then also they they got famous at a time when like boomers were just
coming around to recognizing the internet so maybe there's something there where like boomers think they're a bigger
deal than they are.
Um,
sure,
sure,
sure.
I mean,
look,
if you are able to get this much press for being associated with somebody
who is a scumbag,
uh,
bad husband,
I'm,
I'm,
I'm here,
you know,
I know plenty of shitty people,
uh,
and I've been through similar things.
So if you are interested in my story as well of
personal hardship from being associated uh with somebody like that i am open for interviews oh
my god you guys my friends are fucking dirt oh my friends are pieces of shit i can't believe it
the drama like fuck bro you get it god the amount of interest is really something else.
Kanye went on Tucker Carlson.
Jesus.
I didn't even, I can't even, I can't watch it. Did you know that he, like, it's, I think he, I don't know.
He may have, like, had some hand in art directing, like, the Chirons.
Because the Chirons were, like, in black and white.
Oh, really?
So, like, and he's wearing this weird outfit and then also in this
interview kanye looked like he has that same beard that danger aaron wore in the jackass movie when
it was just all fake when it's people's pubic hair that they glued on his face yeah that's the kind
of beard that he looks like he's in a disguise a lot he's oh yeah he looks like he bought a plastic
bag james harden costume. Right.
And put it on.
Like, truly plastic bag.
Like, low quality.
Yeah, the beard is awful.
I don't even know if I need to play anything from it.
It's just wild shit.
Yeah, you don't want to.
It's like, he's just, he said all kinds of, like, nonsense.
But you don't even need to listen to it. Did you notice that at his White Lives Matter,
I don't know if it was at his White Lives Matter fashion show
or it was like one of the fashion shows he went to after,
but he looked like he had gotten his ass kicked.
Like his face was all like red and beat up.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't know, man.
Like we go through these periods.
So we know he is going through mental health struggles and we go through these periods so we know he is going through mental health struggles and we go
through these periods where he is just saying anything for attention and controversial for
controversy's sake and nobody's ever like i don't know the media still just eats it up
still just takes it at face value yeah i mean they're not i don't know i can't it's just tough
to watch like this dude is clearly struggling and
like they're like yeah man look at this whoa cool take he leaked some weird conversation where he's
calling like p diddy like with some weird ass anti-semitic shit it's it's fucking wild yeah
um yeah and the house gop or who was it yeah it? Yeah. House judiciary GOP tweeted Kanye,
Elon Trump naming like the three famous people.
They've been able to convince,
come over to their side.
Like,
I don't know how much of a flex that is,
man.
He is really having a hard time.
They don't need to.
It's just for the,
again,
it's just the optics of having a black man say this completely backwards-ass shit.
Right.
And they have to embrace that because that's the only...
They're just so like, black guy said terrible thing means it's true.
You hear that?
Yeah.
The same way Trump thinks when he has that same dude in the background at every rally,
the same three black dudes, two black guys.
It's just like a...
They're like, you see?
It's a coalition. black dudes two black guys it's just like a they're like you see but they are the mission
they are so they also are the three people who have turned pathological narcissism into the hack
to our modern culture constantly just saying whatever it takes to fill the hole with attention
right um the those seem to be the three things so the the fact that they keep, they all end up on the Republican fascist side of things is,
I guess,
not that surprising.
Yeah.
Just for,
I can't,
to his fans to like relax y'all.
Yeah.
Just try and acknowledge that this,
what the musician that you're into,
like this,
this is a very different thing.
Yeah.
Uh,
Wemba Yama is trending.
This guy's a fucking freak.
That is one of the ways you hear it talked about.
Yeah.
Guys, just be like nice and be like, he's amazing and good at basketball.
But like, we don't need to be like, I don't know.
We can come to alien UFO, the fucking freak from another world.
Like, what are we going to call him?
Because he's France.
Good at basketball.
Victor Wemby Yama. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, for people who don't know call him because he's france good at basketball victor
wimby yeah yeah i mean for people who don't know what it's funny too because when lebron talked
about him he's like i don't know for a guy like that seven four seven five seven three i don't
know whatever it is because everybody's like how tall is he exactly he is taller than he ever should
be and shoots like he's steph curry moves his body like he is a six foot three player
and shoots like a six foot three player.
And so he can do things like shoot falling out of bounds
in the corner, shoot a three,
what is very difficult for other people,
but he makes it look like he's shooting it
from the free throw line.
It's one of the wildest things you have to see.
It's a sight.
Yeah, you just have to go look at the clips.
It's wild.
Which is why it was wild when LeBron was talking about him.
He's like, everybody's been talking about,
he's like, you know, I was a guy coming into the draft
where they're like, yo, this guy, he's a unicorn.
You know, they talk about Giannis, a unicorn.
They would talk of unicorns all the time.
And he's like, I don't know, man man we might have to call this guy alien he's like he's truly unlike anything we
have ever seen yeah and that's coming from me and he's like and this kid can play so he's like i'm
just excited i think like most people is wild even to see like when he dapped up ad and lebron during
the game they were like whoa good to meet you like they were kind of like yeah they're starstruck yeah yeah so the craziest thing and i think i talk about this every time
when you look at him from a year ago he doesn't look that coordinated because it's hard to figure
out how to move when your body is seven foot five". And it hasn't always been 7'5". You know, it's not
like he was born 7'5". Like, this is all
happening. He's still
a teenager. So
he's just getting
better and better. He still hasn't
had his growth spurt, is what his mom
said.
But he's getting
used to being this tall
and it's going to be wild to witness.
It feels a little like when Shaq was coming into the league, because it's like a physical thing.
It's like a new era physically, where it's like, we haven't seen anything like this before.
Yeah, but I bet when we get home, I can't wear a big snake on his neck.
He'd probably be scared.
He'd break his clavicle.
Yeah.
I'm going to handle the load of a python.
That sounded weird.
Anyway.
All right.
Those are some of the things that are trending on this Friday afternoon.
We are off Monday for Indigenous Peoples Day.
So back on Tuesday with more podcasts.
Till then, be kind to each other.
Be kind to yourself.
Yes. Get the vaccine be kind to each other. Be kind to yourself. Yes.
