Starting point is 00:02:00 or wherever you get your podcasts. New episodes every Thursday. Hello, the internet, and welcome to this episode of the Weekly Zeitgeist. These are some of our favorite segments from this week, all edited together into one nonstop infotainment laughstravaganza. Yeah, so without further ado, here is the weekly zeitgeist uh so i wanted to start off by talking a little bit about you know the future right because of course it's on its way it's scary and it's happening right now uh but like apparently over the weekend there was a air
Starting point is 00:02:40 warfare symposium uh which sounds really really inviting oh my god where the chief of staff of the air force basically said that it was only a matter of years before we would be fighting in space uh which is very very cool to me i don't know what it was i mean not that it's cool but right it's interesting now that like we're actually having now like people in the air force saying like hey we need to start talking about these space wars okay because that's the next frontier because apparently i think china had a satellite that they were testing that could like just disintegrate space trash but also had the capability of like disabling and destroying satellites that were also up there so i guess like when you think about it like so much of our military operations like we're reliant
Starting point is 00:03:22 on satellites you know They tell us everything. There are eyes in the sky. Thank you so much. In the celestial body, that is. And yeah, it's pretty easy to see a scenario where like in a space war that the first step is like blinding your enemy by disabling their satellites. So they're like completely confused. They have no way to communicate it was just a very interesting way to think about this because also i think earlier last year mike rogers as congressman proposed like a new uh branch of the military called the space corps and like the pentagon was like nah like
Starting point is 00:03:53 we're not we don't want that why not well the reason is if you create a new branch of the military that means your your military funding is now going to get siphoned off into another baby bird asking for food. So that's why this guy in the Air Force was basically saying like, you know, the Air Force is probably the most qualified to like fight in the space wars or whatever, which is basically saying, don't create a new one. Give the Air Force the money to start developing the space toys or whatever the fuck. But yeah, they're asking for like, I think over the next 10 years, I want to be spending
Starting point is 00:04:22 something like $40 billion. And I'm okay with this. I want to say why. I've always wanted to be a pilot in space. You know what I'm saying? And if we get this program up, I think I will start being like a vegan so I can stay healthy enough to do it later in life when it's up and going. So in your mind, the key to being a space pilot is just to be vegan? No.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Obviously, the programs I can start today, it'll probably start 20, 30 years from now. You have time. The way that I'm eating right now, 30 years from now, I can't be in any military. How many, how many sprites have you had just in the time we've started?
Starting point is 00:04:54 I mean, I have one, but I got one on deck. Yeah. And if anybody from the Coca-Cola company is listening, Edgar Montpazier is one of the greatest advocates for sprite use. I think he's the most prolific sprite user absolutely on the internet right now absolutely so you guys are missing a very big opportunity
Starting point is 00:05:09 come at me vince staples you ain't got shit on me oh is he a big sprite guy it's kind of sarcastic but he always like tweets like sprite ads in like on his twitter because like everyone's like you sold out he's like i didn't sell out i'm just having a refreshing sprite i didn't sell out i'm just obeying my thirst yeah like that but you like that. But you're treating it seriously. Like, you're giving it. Oh, yeah. No, I really do love Sprite. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:28 But, like, I mean, for real, like, this space thing does sound kind of dope. Like, I don't know. War is bad. Yes. Yes. Sure. War is bad. It's bad.
Starting point is 00:05:37 It does bad things. It separates families. But, yo, I mean, if they came back home and said, your son died in the space war. Fighting an asteroid. Which front? Yeah, which front did he die in? Jupiter. Jupiter?
Starting point is 00:05:48 Yeah. Well, look, we're not going that far out. This is not fucking Star Trek. Where is Jupiter? They're merely saying maybe we need to develop some weapons that we can pop off in space. But I'm fully behind when you become a space martyr, Edgar. And we will honor you on the new 30 cent coin, whatever is created
Starting point is 00:06:07 after that. Guys, I was just kind of over the weekend. A lot happened. CPAC was a big thing. You had such great seats. I had great seats at CPAC. I was VIP. I was at that motherfucker VIP. Skybox.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I'm still wearing my lanyard from the thing that I have on. But yes, CPAC happened over the weekend. And also Trump sent out a really classy fundraising email to people where he was at the bed of a shooting victim from the Parkland shooting and fundraising on that. Basically saying, like, you know, we're having some really important discussions. fundraising on that, basically saying like, you know, we're having some really important discussions. And it was shameless, absolutely shameless, because, you know, you could connect a lot of dots that perhaps it was his own administration and the lax gun laws and lax gun control that's associated with this White House that may have been seen as a cause of this, or at least didn't help much. So it's just weird that he then uses his own failures to sort of like fundraise on it.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Yeah, he's like, you guys, we're doing real bad. He's like, yeah, man, you're in charge. But somehow like flipping it on him. He's like, no, man, see, I'm having tough conversations. Well, look what I'm up against. In his mind, right, it has to be the successes. Well, I showed up. Yeah, I showed up.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Look at me. Look how much I care about this dead fucking child. Well, what's crazy is too, like you look, you know, that email clearly had to go through like iterations and approvals. A bunch of people saw that. Yeah. And they had to just be like, oh shit, I guess we're sending this. Cause you, I can't imagine that someone on their own was like, or maybe someone did,
Starting point is 00:07:40 but I have a feeling that based on how tone deaf a lot of these emails were, like when the Manafort and Gates were indicted, they tried to use that to their advantage yeah the personal like with like eric trump saying something just asking for a dollar like there's clearly i don't know if that's them doing that or their their handlers like being full-on evil or whatever but i it's it's an interesting it's a bunch of people who are real shitty at their job. I don't – I mean I think their job is to literally take anything that's in the news and ask for a dollar. Yeah. Oh, OK. So somehow use the Olympics too?
Starting point is 00:08:14 I mean I don't – I would bet on some – They have to acknowledge whatever is the most important thing right now and then use it to try and get money. Yeah. The gunnery is the most important thing right now. Yeah. And then use it to try and get money. The news cycle. Yeah. So like – so their pitch is like, isn't it great that President Trump is going to help?
Starting point is 00:08:31 Because that's the thing, right? They still have to say with a straight face like, we are here to prevent gun violence. Yeah. We're here to help. We're here to help. We're going to solve this problem. We have lots of ideas. So like I guess like guns in every hospital room.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Now they were like – Guns in every public bathroom. IMO. Yeah. Yeah. I mean maybe just start with fucking toilet paper. Maybe just taking dumps straight down the barrel of a gun. It's the next logical step.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Who knows? It's very possible. But again, this sort of – I had a gun installed in my ass so that I could just shoot every time I go to the bathroom. Don't say I'm not a patriot. I got gun ass. I'm destroying toilets. Quite literally.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And look, now you're creating more of an opportunity for people to invest in new toilets, bulletproof toilets. I'm a job creator. Yeah, the toilet lobby wins. Please kickstart my bulletproof toilet. Bulletproof toilet idea. There's just been a general lack of shame right over the last two years that we've seen. Yeah, what are you expecting, man? I know, exactly.
Starting point is 00:09:34 But it's weird. But I know every day you wake up and you're like, wow, they really did it. Yeah, I know. They had to fucking do it to me. I'm still living in that Groundhog's Day. Yeah. But what was interesting to me was this weekend at CPAC, which is basically Comic-Con for the far right. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Have you been to Comic-Con? There was a few incidences that were very interesting to me. For starters, Ian Walters, who's like the comms director for CPAC, he said that Michael Steele, who is a black man, he was the head of the RNC when Obama was president. They made him head right after Obama was elected. And he said that he was made the head of the RNC because he was black. And that was the wrong choice, which is pretty interesting. I mean, I can see that, you know, at the time, I think a lot of Democrats or liberal people were looking at that appointment going, y'all just did that because we voted in a black
Starting point is 00:10:23 president. Yeah. And so that's how the RNC is trying to combat it. It's like, well, hold on, hold on. You know, we're also woke. Yeah. And then that turned into a controversy because he said that on a podium, like that was out loud to a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Yeah. And that it was interesting because this guy, Michael Steele, he's like a lifelong Republican and he had to sort of, you know, call Ian Walters out. And it kind of became a bit of a news story. And then I think it was this morning or yesterday on his Sirius XM show, like he had other people kind of commenting on this moment, I guess. You have been rather critical of some of the more conservative aspects of the Trump phenomenon and this Trump agenda.
Starting point is 00:11:04 I think what Ian was getting to the heart of that was there are people who are critics of some of the things you did as you were chairman. What the hell does my race have to do with any of that at the end of the day? What does the color of my skin have to do with anything you just said? So you mean to tell me that as a black conservative, put it in that context, but let alone as a conservative, I can't be critical of the president you can be but as you know that there are a lot of people i think take race out of it yeah if you look at the criticism but he injected race into it yeah that was the i i would agree with you so again those those words
Starting point is 00:11:39 that tumbled out of his mouth right i believed were unfortunate words it was stupid it's not unfortunate you call it what it is don't take the worst out of what he said you know him i know but this is where you need to have some grace look at what is in it what the hell do i have to be graceful for you've not been very graceful you've not been very graceful to the republicans and the conservatives in this hall and in this room again for a very long period of time wow yeah holy shit if that's not a white man telling him to get in line i don't know what is yeah do you want to keep playing until he says uppity yeah i mean so again i bring this up not because i'm surprised right but because you have someone who has sadly been shilling for the GOP forever as a black man. And it's interesting now, like he pushed back against someone saying some shit about him that, oh, he was only there because he was black.
Starting point is 00:12:33 He pushes back against me like, yo, this is inappropriate, whatever. And then he has other people being like, well, you've been really critical. You should be. I think you could handle that with more grace. Again, all that means is shut the fuck up. Right. I think you could handle that with more grace. Again, this is.
Starting point is 00:12:44 All that means is shut the fuck up. Right. But also, I mean, like, I wish that he had come back and been like, sir, excuse me, I am a homophobe and I deserve to be here as much as anyone else. Right. It was something. It was a moment. What do black Republicans fucking think? Like, this is what that question is. What do they think?
Starting point is 00:12:58 We were. Why do they think they're there? Like, let me go to the next thing. So that was a man of color who was a Republican pushing back against – Who is a Republican. Yeah, who is a Republican getting flack from white Republican men around him, right? So then there was also a panel at CPAC where they had some conservative columnists and politicians on stage, all women, to sort of just talk to sort of generally about women in the party. And then at one point, this woman mona charon she's like a
Starting point is 00:13:25 conservative columnist the woman who was running the panels just sort of went around it's like hi what like you know as a conservative woman what kind of gets your blood boiling the first two women were kind of like oh that feminism has been taken away from conservatives and it's only a liberal thing now was like okay whatever it would just sound like a lot of people crying because they were on the wrong side of things and then uh this woman, Mona, she was like, let me get y'all with a hot take for CPAC. What gets you riled up? I'm actually going to twist this around a bit and say that I'm disappointed in people on our side. OK.
Starting point is 00:13:58 For being hypocrites about sexual harassers and abusers of women who are in our party, who are sitting in the White House, who brag about their extramarital affairs, who brag about mistreating women. And because he happens to have an R after his name, we look the other way. We don't complain. This is a party that was ready to endorse, the Republican Party endorsed Roy Moore
Starting point is 00:14:27 for the Senate in the state of Alabama, even though he was a credibly accused child molester. You cannot claim that you stand for women and put up with that. and put up with that. Well, you lied. Yeah. And it got like later on there, it's a witch hunt. People were screaming.
Starting point is 00:14:53 So again, these are people who are trying to be reasonable in an unreasonable place. Or I don't know, are we just sort of looking? I know we were saying earlier, look, the GOP for many years was never a progressive party and didn't stand for the kinds of things that, you know, that we're taking offense to.
Starting point is 00:15:09 But now that you're seeing this kind of, I don't know, erosion within it, is someone just not allowed to be reasonable or is that unreasonable? Are we just talking about people who have just been deluding themselves the whole time? I don't know. This was just something I'm trying to wrap my head around of. I think it's all three. I think it partly you know people deluding themselves but also the party had never been pushed to the point yet where people had to like polarize to the point was like hey are you going to support a child molester over a democrat right and then it turned out a lot of people in the republican party were like absolutely no question right I would love to do this um and then a lot of other republicans were like what the fuck no and then I mean the thing is not a lot of other republicans were like what the fuck no and then
Starting point is 00:15:45 i mean the thing is not a lot of other republicans no that's the thing it's not that many they're a minority in their own party and i think just because they never had to nobody's ever had to publicly make that choice so far you know uh and now people are like oh shit like the really the cards are on the fucking table and if you are not willing to support a child molester over a democrat you should get the fuck out of the republican party right well maybe you should move to the center where everyone else fucking lives you know what i mean at this point that makes you a centrist because our fucking overton window is so far to the right that if you're just like no i don't want a pedophile to be my elected representative it's like you fucking commie right i don't know and again andrew
Starting point is 00:16:26 we were saying like you know you want to not arm babies too with like with michael yeah come on the babies need to be taught at the well okay so we were talking earlier about what it takes to be a michael steel or like to be even like a paul ryan right like and to me it's like michael steel as we were we dug into his biography a little bit probably some stuff we could have known beforehand doesn't matter um and it was like you know he's one of those like fiscally conservative socially relatively liberal not that liberal but you know he doesn't hate black people outwardly basically right and that was liberal now yeah well for Well, for a Republican? Yeah, I guess for a Republican. And it always has been,
Starting point is 00:17:07 is the thing. Right. Like, even when he got started. So, like, his pitch... He's being secretly racist. Yeah, or whatever you want. Or, okay, but even not. Let's say the not...
Starting point is 00:17:15 Internalized. The not internalized racist aversion, right? The story that women, people of color who are conservatives, have to tell themselves is economics that benefits... women people of color who are conservatives have to tell themselves is economics that benefits the rich are so helpful to everyone in society that it is worth supporting that and all the others with a history yeah and all And all the other stuff is irrelevant. Like, it's not great that there are racists here, but at least society is better.
Starting point is 00:17:50 If the rich, it'll be so helpful to have the people who own Walmart not pay taxes to black people. That is just a pitch they have to make, which it's wrong, utterly wrong, but they believe it. Well, it's a pitch that tries to separate class and race and sex into discrete categories when they are not. They are all under one. I mean, maybe I'm being class reductionist, but you cannot separate class and race and sex in America. Yeah. Maybe in some other countries you can. I don't even think so but like in america at least the economics of this country are founded on the idea that like it's totally cool to kidnap people and use them for free labor as long as you make a lot of money i
Starting point is 00:18:35 mean like that's literally like what built our country uh there are laws on the books that make it harder for women and people of color to get paid as much. Like this is still an active institution. And this is what people talk about when they talk about institutional racism. Right. Is this not just a guy like. Who's like, yeah, I fucking hate black people. I hate immigrants. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:52 It's not just a guy, you know, wearing a T-shirt that says like, I hate blacks. The rules of the game are. They're really. Yeah. Okay. But what I'm saying a little bit, like all of that is 100% true. What I'm saying is to be the non-cy of Michael Steele, which to believe that race and class and sex can and should be fully separated and one can be ignored at the expense of the other. I think if you believe that.
Starting point is 00:19:17 No, no. So let me let me pitch this as what maybe he believes is that he doesn't believe that those things are inextricable he just believes that his solution right it will help poor people and therefore actually just he see he believes anran's economic plan will actually disproportionately help black people right he does think it'll like make them more free yeah he just think he happens that he's utterly wrong so whatever but like that is conceivably a way you could be a black republican a you're like you're like black people are being burdened by taxes or something and burdened by social services yeah right like i mean that's the pit yeah that is so it's like if you could conceivably be a non-cynical version of that
Starting point is 00:20:04 maybe that's him. Right. So I put it this way because like when I first started off, you're like, oh, you're surprised by this. Do you see this moment as have we crossed the Rubicon? Is this like a – Across the Rubik's Cube. Yeah. Is this a way of like has a line been crossed or is this just another step of what is basically normal for this party?
Starting point is 00:20:23 And then what – like what do you see the right how does this look down the road because clearly there are some reasonable people who might be on the train who i mean there's a lot of people just openly leaving the republican party right you know they're at least fucking is that blogging about it yeah yeah right exactly but see okay so we're in such a weird place because like let's pick a policy like destroying health care, like destroying health care. Most Republicans support it on some level for racist reasons. It keeps these, you know, poor colored people from getting a handout that they don't deserve. A small minority of people like Michael Steele and at least nominally like your Paul Ryans believe it helps those people for question mark,
Starting point is 00:21:06 question mark, question mark, giving them some kind of a choice in their healthcare or whatever that we're not telling you what you have to do. That is the pitch, right? That's the thing is like where it's like so fucking bonkers land to consider what their pitches that you,
Starting point is 00:21:21 so that's why, because what they're selling is always choice is that you get to make a choice. That's what they consider freedom is like that you – so that's why – Well, because what they're selling is always choice, is that you get to make a choice. That's what they consider freedom is like that you get to choose between three terrible insurance plans. Yeah, unaffordable. Yeah. Yeah. Or you get to be a rugged individualist and forego insurance. Well, Democrats are the real racists or the left is the real racist.
Starting point is 00:21:40 That's where that means. Now, the question is, is that – could that even conceivably be non-cynical? Like, could anyone actually believe that? I can't thinks he does. Yeah. I mean, I do think there's a lot of people there that I think they have ideals. A lot of people have ideals that, you know, you and I might believe are misguided, but they sincerely believe that this is what will help everyone. Yeah. Well, you have to. I mean, I think that's the only way you can go in there and not be in a total. But then once you become a politician, like, I mean, I don't understand how you can. I don't understand how you can. I don't know. It seems to me like if you're Michael Steele, it would take one day of meeting another Republican to disabuse you of your premise.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Even if like the version of true believers, like you'd think like because it's in that clip. You think this would have happened earlier. Yeah, you almost hear it. He's like, y'all can't be racist against me. Right. But like my man, they have always been. Right. So it's like, it's so frustrating listening to shit like that because you're like, you
Starting point is 00:22:52 know, he will not come to the correct conclusion, which is you guys are a bunch of racists and always have been. Right. Or sorry, always have been since as long as I've been alive. Maybe he only hangs out with other black Republicans the rest of the time. But he was running that shit for a while. I don't know, man. Maybe his whole crew is just other black Republicans.
Starting point is 00:23:10 It's a very – They hang out. They drink milk together. Yeah, and also a lot of these people, they're on a diet, a steady diet of everything you're seeing in the news is not objective truth. It is a lie and it is a smear. So already we're not even approaching problems from the same reality. The more bad shit that comes out, the more convinced they are that they're right and persecuted. Well, that was in the Me Too clip, which is like they're not mad that she's saying we would endorse a child molester.
Starting point is 00:23:37 They're saying what you're saying is a liberal talk. Yeah. How could you believe that? How could you believe that a good Republican could even be a child molester? Yeah. Right. Well, look. So those people still tell themselves they're feminists is the thing or yeah whatever or they 100 think i'm a feminist or whatever is smeared yeah uh they don't like the word
Starting point is 00:23:55 16 year old women are adults let's take a quick break and we'll be right back Daphne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese investigative journalist who on October 16th 2017 was murdered there are crooks everywhere you look now the situation is desperate my name is Manuel Delia I am one of the hosts of Crooks Everywhere a podcast that unhearts the plot to murder a one-woman Wikileaks. Starting point is 00:27:00 It was December 2019 when the story blew up. In Green Bay, Wisconsin, former Packers star Kabir Bajabiamila caught up in a bizarre situation. KGB explaining what he believes led to the arrest of his friends at a children's Christmas play. A family man, former NFL player, devout Christian, now cut off from his family and connected to a strange arrest. I am going to share my journey of how I went from Christianity to now a Hebrew Israelite. I got swept up in Kabir's journey, but this was only the beginning. In a story about faith and football,

Starting point is 00:28:01 And we are back. Obviously, the NRA has been in people's crosshairs, to put it lightly. Thanks so much. What a wonderful play on words. I do improv on the set. So holler at me. But yes. At IO?
Starting point is 00:28:15 Basically, yeah. West? IO West? IO West, man. I got my new show. It's going to be premiering next week. Very nice. You guys are going to love it.
Starting point is 00:28:22 Y'all are all invited. I can't wait to come. I think it's – oh, wait. It's closed. That's a deep cut comedy joke for people in la but um so delta basically uh like many other companies last week we talked about a lot of companies that were offering discounts to the nra and how a lot of people putting pressure on them fedex is still fucking with the nra like they were kind of like well we don't agree with assault weapons, but we're not going to turn down their business. Anyway, that's a whole other thing.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Delta basically recently just came out, I think yesterday or the day before, saying that they're ending their discount with the NRA because they're like, oh, look, we don't want to be in bed with you guys anymore. Before, they were basically offering all their gun-humping members discounts to their annual gun-fucking bonanza, which is the NRA annual convention.
Starting point is 00:29:08 Of course. And that was like the discount they're getting. But no more. Henceforth, you will have to pay full price. And let me tell you, the GOP in Georgia, because Delta is based there, they are not having it. They are basically acting like it is their God-given right to have a discounted flight to their convention. And it's a very interesting – I don't know, a very interesting way of going about things because the lieutenant governor of Georgia who runs the state senate, Casey Cagle, I believe, he tweeted out, I will kill any tax legislation that benefits Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with NRA.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back now i don't know what he's so outraged about like it's it's very interesting to think of how they are even looking at this discount or just the optics of i guess companies distancing themselves from the nra but the reason that he's saying that he'll kill any tax legislation is because there was a bill like for the tax bill in the uh house the state house and senate of georgia that gave delta like a huge jet fuel tax cut that would have saved him like 50 million dollars uh so now they're saying like and it was flying through the house and senate because you know they're like the largest private employer in the state of georgia so they were like oh yeah of course this makes sense you guys are like putting your hub here like of course it's a no-brainer and now they're like no you don't get that cut
Starting point is 00:30:33 anymore because you don't love that all right this is what gets me so hot about this shit is the gop loves it when corporations take a stand on their issues you know what i mean like when chick-fil-a was just like yo if you gay we don't fuck right they lined up like i remember being in texas and the chick-fil-a was popping the next day because they were acting like everyone was like hell yeah get all the chicken you can i don't give a fuck about bird flu like everyone was so hyped about it but now corporations are starting to do takes in the opposite direction like you know like i remember when mike and ike did the whole like uh mike and ike are actually to do takes in the opposite direction. Like, you know, like I remember when Mike and Ike did the whole like Mike and Ike are actually gay. Do you guys remember that ad campaign that they did?
Starting point is 00:31:10 Like Mike and Ike were like, we're actually gay. And like GOP was like, how dare you? How can a corporation, corporations shouldn't be political and all this shit. But it's like y'all get so hard for fucking Hobby Lobby. Right. Or like, you know, Chick-fil-a for anything that fits your agenda but now you're gonna essentially just like attack people's jobs right because that jet fuel tax cut could probably help out with like I mean if you look at it right the after that tax scam of a
Starting point is 00:31:38 bill that was passed in December they saved 150 million dollars like instantly oh yeah so I don't think 50 million dollars gonna really hurt them that's why yeah. So I don't think $50 million is going to really hurt them. That's why they're like, we don't give a fuck. We'll pay full price for that jet fuel. Because I think also, too, Delta may have suggested, I think, earlier on, they're like, we're fine paying that. Just put it towards the roads in Georgia. Like, you use that tax money. And then they're like, okay, fine.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Then don't give us a tax cut. Like, we still don't fuck with the NRA. What is that discount also? Like, the discount that they're getting can't be more than 10%. You know what I mean? Like, there's no way Delta's giving, like, oh, yeah, it's 45% off the fucking symposium. I'll sign up for the NRA right now. Go visit my cousins.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Right. Yeah. And it's not like these members, if they're flying Delta, are going to get there anyway. You know? And that's a flight joke. Thank you. Yeah. You fly a lot.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I do. I know you. Didn't you have a really joke. Thank you. You fly a lot. I do. I know. Didn't you have a really spicy tweet about Spirit Airlines? Oh, I for sure did. I think so. I feel like there are always fire tweets where you said, I think someone was begging you for change or something. I probably did say that.
Starting point is 00:32:36 I think I also said that airline is named after the thing that it breaks for its customers. Yeah, I hate that airline. It's like a fucking barn. So with the NRA, it's interesting because, yeah, I thought corporations had First Amendment rights under Citizens United. You know what I mean? But now suddenly it's like because it's a part of the culture war, they really want to boohoo their way.
Starting point is 00:33:01 So this is the other thing that the same lieutenant governor said. He said, I'm tired of conservatives being kicked around on our values. It's time we stand up and fight and show corporations that conservative values are important, not just to Georgia but to the entire nation. We can fight for jobs. We can also fight for values. I'm sorry. What are the values you're fighting for? Yeah, you're talking about a discount.
Starting point is 00:33:19 What the fuck? Guns. Yeah. I mean this is what's crazy is that it's so clear, right, that this guy, because he's going to be possibly running for governor, which is, I think, why he's puffing his chest out right now. Because he wants to let everybody know. He's like, hey, where's my base at? I'm right here. I mean, I'm Rob Basin.
Starting point is 00:33:38 I came to get down. He is just shouting this shit out, not believing it. It's just an empty talking point. I don't think there's nothing about your values that are being threatened if they're simply saying we don't like the idea that they're constantly advocating for like putting assault rifles in regular people's hands he's trying to impress everybody in the club he's trying to sound very intelligible and like about this point and try to be like hey look how cool i am but he doesn't believe anything he's saying like you said exactly right and it's yeah and it's a shame now because it's so clear who these guys are who are being bought by
Starting point is 00:34:09 the NRA because they come out and just say this stuff. There's, again, people of the earth, you aren't entitled to things like a discount on a flight. No, no. I'm sorry that you used to get that. And I'm sure there's money saved and not everybody's balling out of control. You can pay a full price airplaneice airplane ticket, but guess what? It's not your right. So if you really feel that companies shouldn't be able to have a say and meddle around and have a voice in politics, maybe we need to do something about campaign finance laws.
Starting point is 00:34:36 I don't know. That's a side thing. Right, or maybe if you're worried about how much your flight costs, maybe just buy one less fucking gun, and then you could make up that money. Just a suggestion. I don't know what i'm talking about though who knows who knows yeah all right you're right that was philadelphia libtard i apologize yeah no you should and i'm sorry to our listeners who had to hear that offensive take can we edit that out though no we're gonna leave that in uh and uh we'll let everybody know where to find you on twitter what if we did a bullets for mileage program oh Every bullet you hand in is a mile.
Starting point is 00:35:06 That's good. Airlines, I'm telling you right now, hop on this idea. This is a hot one from Edgar Mopes here. I'm not kidding. That's a great idea. That's just a good idea. If you hand in a bullet, we'll give you a mile. Bullets for miles. Thank you so
Starting point is 00:35:21 much. I think I'm going to brand that for me. You can just give them to me. What are you going to do with all those bullets? Oh, I'll probably just throw them away. Jewelry? Yeah, jewelry. Yeah, exactly. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:35:33 Of course, anytime. I need ideas like that. I know a smelter. I think it would be dangerous to smelt down bullets with all the gunpowder inside. Because my grandfather's brother, back in like the 30s, somebody threw a bullet into a fireplace and the shit went off and hit my grandfather's brother. He can only talk in rhyme now.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Oh my God. Hit him in the head. Like he's not right. Hold on. Hold on. He can only talk in rhyme. Yeah, like something happened to him. Yo, this is a family legend that I've been living with
Starting point is 00:36:03 and please don't try and tear it down with science because my grandfather's brother was hit with an Aaron Bullitt that was thrown in a fireplace, and now he can only talk and rhyme. He's Bubba Sparks, by the way. Oh, my God. So Jared Kushner had a really bad day yesterday. His whole – basically his security clearance was kicked down from top secret to secret. His whole basically security clearance was kicked down from top secret to secret. Now, that might not seem important, but it is because when you have top secret, you are seeing like the most sensitive of information in terms of how we gather and things like that. And just basically like shit, you wouldn't want people outside of our government knowing.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Right. And, you know, and that's good because let's look at what his workload is. Right. And, you know, and that's good because let's look at what his workload is. Right. Because he's the smartest man that Donald Trump has ever met. He has the distinct honor of being in charge of improving relations with China, Japan, Mexico, solving the opioid crisis, working on government efficiency, infrastructure, trade, peace in the Middle east i could go on no i mean like the little things on the yeah just the shit that doesn't matter but it's insane that his status got downgraded because he solved everything on that list i know home run after home run exactly i mean yeah opioids are out yeah uh mexico's like we're done sending our people across the border and we're doing these trade deficits the government is working so efficiently i think think infrastructure is at an all-time high. I mean, guys, yeah, he's done it. Well, actually, no, that's bullshit because let's really think about this.
Starting point is 00:37:30 So after Rob Porter, that whole Rob Porter scandal with one of the staffers of the White House basically abusing his wives and the FBI being like, this guy should not be anywhere near any sensitive information. The fallout from that has caused John Kelly to tighten it up a little bit, although he has a bit of like a war going on with the Javanka arm of the White House. But he's basically like, yo, OK, now you can only look at like not the big boy stuff, but like the kind of big boy stuff. I do. You say big boy and kind of big boy. I actually was surprised to learn how like inherently catty this the naming of things is that it's it's literally secret and top secret. the naming of things is. It's literally secret and top secret. That's not us coming to that because it just feels like very high school status where it's like, what's your thing say? Secret?
Starting point is 00:38:11 Mine's top secret. You can't sit here. Can I see your badge? Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. You don't get the hot gossip. I would love to see the notes that are being passed under the table at those meetings. You know it's a bunch of fucking crazy texts with emojis.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Like, you know they have an emoji for Trump. They have an emoji for, like, Javanka and them. Like, it's – oh, man, I would love to see that. And I want to see, like, everyone else's – like, Eric Trump's badge that is just like, oh, normal news. You only get normal news. You don't even get secret. You just get, like, readily available public information. It's just also very disturbing because like this article came out in the Washington Post that basically said that like other countries knew that because he is in such a desperate need for money for that like billion-dollar building, 666 Fifth Avenue I believe in New York that he's just underwater on, that his whole – like he's very vulnerable because he's constantly looking for ways to get that funded. Like he's very vulnerable because he's constantly looking for ways to get that funded.
Starting point is 00:39:13 And it was like it was through intercepts that like in wiretaps that they found out that like other governments are talking about like, yo, we can play this dude and get some shit out of him. Or, you know, you know, unwittingly get him to cooperate with whatever a given country's endgame is, which is very bad in terms of just negotiating. Right. very bad in terms of just negotiating right if you go into a negotiation blind and not know like they're probably going to offer you this because that's because they want this or whatever the case may be that's a very simplified version of it but without this intelligence i don't know how he'll effectively even be able to do anything not that he was but he just shouldn't be in there i think is really what the point is when you look at all this uh because the white house and the this whole entire administration is filled with a bunch of homies uh who i guess donald trump's just like yeah do whatever you want man like you got to get your building funded like do that however you want to
Starting point is 00:39:52 let's move on to another uh really you know a genius a woman of color someone who has stood for the community from time immemorial. You might know her as Stacey Dash. If you are someone who's really out of touch with popular culture, Stacey Dash played Dion on Clueless. She was Alicia Silverstone's best friend, named after Dion Warwick. Best friends with Cher Horowitz. One of my favorite movies. Now, yes, she's an actress.
Starting point is 00:40:20 She's been on there. I think she was even on the Clueless TV show, like one of the few people to even be on the TV show. But if you saw her oh she was in mo money with david wayans uh she's had a pretty long career and i think if you looked her up you know who i'm talking about well guess what y'all she lost her job at fox news because she said obama doesn't give a shit about terrorism or something like that she said shit live on air so they're like oh look we still follow some rules here so she lost that job and you know now she's actually found a new opportunity uh that's her running for congress thank god as a republican in california's 44th congressional district which is a solidly democratic district
Starting point is 00:40:58 it that's like the communities of like compton north long beach Watts, San Pedro. It's solidly Democratic. But for whatever reason, she thinks she is going to win there because, I don't know, because she's like, I actually live in the district. I don't know where that would be. I don't know if like, I'm still trying to figure out where Stacey Dash lives in those areas. Is that where Black Beverly Hills is? Oh, no. She's not even close. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:23 Huntington Park, Compton, Paramount, Carson. You know, she's not even close. Huntington, Park, Compton, Paramount, Carson. She's not even fucking close. Well, here's what I know about what Stacey Dash did. She basically just sold black people up the river. In the terms of every Republican white person has that thing where they're just like, well, my black friend doesn't feel that way. And Stacey Dash put herself in that for the entire Fox News Network. Where like any time they're just like, I mean, black people can just be calm with the police. Right.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Stacey and Stacey is like, absolutely. Yes, yes, yes. So I think that's kind of like what's so wild is that she is going for these votes in this predominantly black community. That's just like, yo, what? Yeah. I mean, because her takes are crazy, like especially during the she really got canceled by black community, that's just like, yo, what? Yeah. I mean, cause her takes are crazy. Like, especially during the,
Starting point is 00:42:06 she really got canceled by black people during that. Uh, like it could probably before, but especially during the election when she was just caping for like Republicans, it was insane. I couldn't believe it. Uh,
Starting point is 00:42:18 and you know, she has some very hot takes, especially on things like, like the NAACP image awards or BT. Uh, I think we have a clip. Let's just hear like one of the takes. And we hear sunny hostin from the views sort of clap back on her uh not directly but commentary on this clip we have to make up our minds either we want
Starting point is 00:42:34 to have segregation or integration and if we don't want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like bet and the bet awards and the image awards where you're only awarded if you're black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It's a double standard. So you say there shouldn't be a BET channel? No, I don't think so. No. Just like there shouldn't be a Black History Month. You know, we're Americans, period. That's it. You know, I think it's the height of hypocrisy that Stacey Dash would say that there should be no BET when she had a recurring role on the BET show, The Game.
Starting point is 00:43:13 For one, she was a presenter at the NAACP Theater Awards. Yes, I am talking to you, Miss Dash. She's graced the cover of jet pride, heart and soul smooth. Like really Stacey Dash. I mean, I just think it's incredible that she would give up whatever value she had in the first place to pander to an audience that is sort of angry and scared of people that don't look like them and she is giving them reason to continue to be angry angry and scared but she needs the job maybe that's why she's doing it for the dollar when you compromise your values for money you know who you are oh shit is sunny
Starting point is 00:44:00 white nah okay nah i mean she looks like she's licensed. Okay. I was like, she said jet with a kind of like a. No. Jet. It was underlining, you know, because that's. Essence. Jet, like that's for the culture. That is a black ass magazine.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Oh, my grandmother was a jet back in the 70s. That's a credit. That is. Jet beauty of the week. Oh, wow. Yeah. There you go. This Stacey Dash character sounds real clueless if you ask me.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Oh, thank you. What do you think about that, Nick? Thank you. I thought you were looking for like a sound sting. Like did you send him an audio clip? Yeah. I think like these just might be my own politics, but I think a big issue with people is that like when they react to like be it like affirmative action or like like a bet or like a specific network they don't see that it's a reaction to like the norm right and that it's like uh like a correction so right like well why do we have this like we shouldn't you
Starting point is 00:44:55 know have this like well because there needs to like a society created a hole where that didn't exist so that's like why this is occurring well and then no but see then she would have to take into account like you know institutional racism and things like that oh yeah and we can't do that no no no no that's too crazy for her mind it's a lot it's really a lot to unpack of that i think with the thing with her running for congress or it is a congress see right uh i think that's this is a big trend with uh there might fucking be a name for this but like the gop people right now where they set some sort of non like can't win goal and they go after it with obviously an ulterior goal like she's not running for congress she's running to have her own show you know like in like after the like how trump thought yeah the election was gonna go is like man i'm gonna launch
Starting point is 00:45:42 trump news network right tnn's going to be lit. And he's like, oh, fuck. Oh, no. Oh, the Russians really came through? That's a good point. That's a very good point. She's running for TV show. It's what she's running for. And then when she loses, like, oh, well, you know, come up with some fucking excuse.
Starting point is 00:45:56 And then, yeah, she has her own show now. So that's what she's running for. I just cannot believe that she lives anywhere near Compton or San Pedro. It's Watts. She lives in Watts. I feel like – or she bought an apartment there just to scam in and be like, oh, I actually have a – I actually live there. Well, this was the point that I kind of wanted to make is like I was asking if those neighborhoods were there because like older black people live there. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:46:19 Right. And older black people don't know what the word canceled means. No. They don't know what canceled means. Did she have a TV show? Those are the ones – And it got canceled and i think like that's why i was like saying earlier when we were talking about is i can see my mom who doesn't live in those neighborhoods she lives in mcallen texas
Starting point is 00:46:32 but if she lived in those neighborhoods i could see her being a upper middle class black woman being like i'd vote for this nice looking respectable black woman but what if she's not what if she's not talking that shit, though, about empowering black people or disenfranchised people, and she's pushing some shit like, well, BET. Bro, older black people were down for Ben Carson. Let's not forget that. Older black people were just like,
Starting point is 00:46:55 I think we forget that a lot of older black people are hella into respectability politics. You know what I mean? Especially the NAACP type shit. But voting Republican's a stretch, though. It'd be one thing if she ran as a democrat but like that's true that's they have to flip parties yeah like in in this climate that's true that's true but i don't know but i know what you mean but ben carson was a black man from the streets who turned into a doctor and was like the greatest uh neurosurgeon of all time so like i don't know i can see them
Starting point is 00:47:22 being like well she's respectable. She dresses clean. I mean, maybe Stacey has a, a solid chance. It's just, it's just heartbreaking because I had the biggest crush on her as a kid.
Starting point is 00:47:33 Yeah. Imagine she running against a white boy. Like, you know what I mean? Like this young white boy, blue eyes. No,
Starting point is 00:47:38 she's, she's running against, I think Latina. Oh, nevermind. It's a wrap. It's over. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:43 She's running against the incumbent right now is Nanette Barragan – Oh, never mind. It's a wrap. It's over. No, she has no chance of winning. She's running against – the incumbent right now is Nanette Barragan. Oh, she lost. So she lost that one. You might win some, but you just lost one. Stacey, I remember, yeah, my dad used to take pictures for – remember YSB Magazine? Mm-hmm. Young Sisters and Brothers. Of course.
Starting point is 00:47:59 He did like a photo shoot with Stacey Dash. I was like, let me go, Dad. I want to meet Stacey Dash. He said I had to go to school. So shout out to him. Let's take a quick break and we'll be right back. Daphne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese investigative journalist who on October 16th, 2017 was murdered.

Hi, I'm Akilah Hughes, and I'm so excited about my new podcast, Rebel Spirit, where I head back to my hometown in Kentucky and try to convince my high school to change their racist mascot, the Rebels, into something everyone in the South loves, the biscuits. I was a lady rebel. Like, what does that even mean? I mean, the Boone County rebels
Starting point is 00:51:25 will stay the Boone County rebels with the image of the Biscuits. It's right here in black and white in print. They lion. An individual that came to the school saying that God sent him to talk to me about the mascot switch. As a leader, you choose hills that you want to die on.
Starting point is 00:51:42 Why would we want to be the losing team? I'd just take all the other stuff out of it. Segregation academies when civil rights choose hills that you want to die on why would we want to be the losing team that just i just take all the other stuff out of segregation academies when civil rights uh said that we need to integrate public schools these charter schools were exempt from bigger than a flag or mascot you have to be ready for serious backlash listen to rebel spirit on the iheart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. And we are back. There was an article in Vanity Fair with Babs herself, Barbara Strizzy, Barbara Streisand, where she basically did a really cool interview. interview but the thing that caught everyone's attention was the fact that she has two dogs that were clones uh or are clones of her beloved coton de tulie uh samantha who died in 2017 very
Starting point is 00:52:30 tragically because dogs die that was so well pronounced samantha samantha thank you so much samantha's isn't she's our favorite sex in the city character oh no it's our anyway that's a complete tangent i went on because we were laughing about that last week anyway so yes samantha died trazing in 2017 but you know what when you got fucking money you don't have to accept death okay all you gotta have is fifty thousand dollars and you can fucking do a xerox of a fucking dog and so basically with like cells from the dog's stomach and mouth she was able to create two clones at 50 000 a piece uh and they're just straight up living clone dogs that she has of her her beloved old dog i love that it's not even one clone it's two clones that's like i beat
Starting point is 00:53:16 death twice yeah exactly they're like fuck you right just like you twice like daring god like are you gonna take him away from me god okay? Okay. Well, guess what? Two. You want to see how far this goes? What did we learn, God? Yeah. Watch until they like have some really bizarre health issues down the road. But yeah, clone dogs are so weird. I used to work – like one of the clients at our lobbying firm was a very wealthy billionaire, and he had a clone dog he used to walk around with.
Starting point is 00:53:41 And like I'm pretty sure – I don't want to say that he sort of helped like he did this very early on and was a very big funder of like like cloning dogs or at least getting that technology to where it is um but his whole thing was too he loved this dog so much he he cloned many of them and like put them in foster homes like group homes because he was like these would be great therapy dogs which is a good i think is an interesting use of your money to do that now fifty thousand dollars just to make your your puppy come back to life i mean look that's your prerogative do what you want your money but i think i don't know i don't like that for a variety of reasons i uh probably like the silliest is that i don't think the dog wants that which i'm anthropomorphizing a dog getting a personality but like i think about my
Starting point is 00:54:25 own sweet beloved jackson my dog and he wouldn't like that i because he wouldn't know oh that's me that's my that's another me that's my consciousness he would just resent the idea of me getting close with another dog that's that's not him right even if it is him or him genetically right it's also like the the article is so bonkers because she says she's gonna wait for her two dogs to grow up to see if they have samantha's brown eyes and her seriousness and in my head i'm like or else what barbara right what if they're not the exact dog that you fell in love with barbara then i'm gonna drop another 50k for a good one go back to the cloning doctors. Be like, get it right this time. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:55:06 60K. Okay. She's like, I sang my heart out for this. Right. Exactly. What was her big hit? Funny Girl? The Way We Were, too?
Starting point is 00:55:15 Yeah. It was definitely a rendition of it. A rendition of it. I'm just picturing her singing that to her dogs and them not responding in the way she wants. And she's like, no, these dogs are fucked. Yeah. Take them back. When I sing that, they love it. So these are flawed. she wants. And she's like, no, these dogs are fucked. Yeah. Take them.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Take them back. They love it. So these are flawed. You get a warranty. Do you think? They will be different dogs, right? Because they'll be. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:33 It's like being a twin, right? Right. That's the whole. But I'm sure there has some overlap because even like separated. Aren't there like stories about separated identical twins at birth who even like once they meet, they still do have many similar things about them? Yeah. I don't know. I could be making this up based on a movie I saw.
Starting point is 00:55:51 And I'm just sort of an agreeable person. Thank you. So that's why I'm nodding and saying yes, it's true. I read that also. Thank you. This is a new podcast called Dangerous Misinformation with Miles and Hale and Carmen brought to you live. But yeah, $50,000. I mean, guys, look, if you have that kind kind of money maybe fucking do something better for humanity than that and uh you know just to go out
Starting point is 00:56:10 on something a little bit lighter uh we want to talk about the bachelor which is a show i don't really watch um but anna super producer anna hosnier does and it was only reason i bring this up is because there's a new book uh by an la times writer named amy kaufman called bachelor nation inside the world of america Favorite Guilty Pleasure. And one of the things that everyone's talking about today is that how basically so many people on The Bachelor have herpes. And not that so many people have herpes, but when you go on The Bachelor, you have to get your STD screenings correct.
Starting point is 00:56:38 And the most common thing that disqualifies a person from getting on the show is that they have STDs and particularly herpes. Is that correct? Thank you for having me, MilesDs and particularly herpes. Is that correct? Thank you for having me, Miles, to talk about herpes. Thank you so much for coming. So yeah, according to the book by Amy Kaufman, when you are going through the audition process to get onto The Bachelor, you have to submit all this stuff. You have to submit like 15 photos of yourself. You have to submit a well-lit video of yourself talking about all this stuff.
Starting point is 00:57:02 Yeah, that's one of the things that has to be well-lit. Submit a well-lit video. You submit up all this stuff. Yeah. That's one of the things says has to be well lit. Submit a well-lit video. You submit up to 15 photos of yourself from different angles. They want to like, see what you make sure you're not catfishing. Yeah, exactly. So it's not just you Photoshop looking better.
Starting point is 00:57:16 Right. And then they ask you 150 personality questions that are crazy. Like, do you have out of body experiences? Do you think you can control things with your mind? Then they ask them in different ways so they can like kind of fuck with you um this is look this is this is life this is how they make reality tv right right and then once you get through all of that you come to la they make you take a medical exam which includes testing you for stds and if
Starting point is 00:57:43 you have an std you're clearly not going to get on this show because they don't want you spreading it. But in this book, it reveals that most of these people don't even realize they have the STD. Oh, shit. So this producer will call you like, hey, yeah, you didn't make it, but call a doctor. And they're like, what?
Starting point is 00:58:01 And then it's weird because this whole production crew knows you have herpes or whatever STD you have, and they're just kind of like, what? And then it's weird because this whole production crew knows you have herpes or whatever STD you have. And they're just kind of like, okay. Oh, so they don't really tell them. They're just like, hi. Unfortunately, we're going to pass. But you should call your doctor. Yes.
Starting point is 00:58:15 I don't think because that's scary. That's scarier than naming the thing. They should just name what's wrong. You should call your doctor. What is wrong with me? What's wrong with me? Yeah. What happened?
Starting point is 00:58:23 I don't think they want to embarrass them to be like, I know you have herpes. Yeah. I think it's just more like, hey, you know, just FYI. You should go get yourself checked out. That may be less – yeah. I mean, that's unfortunate that people don't – Oh, yeah. If you want to –
Starting point is 00:58:34 You've got to say what it is. Cryptic medical test results are terrible because I already go on WebMD on the daily and convince myself I have some exotic form of cancer or whatever. Yeah, but Miles, how would you feel if I was like, hey, Miles, you're going to have to take an exam, and then I'm like, oh, you really can't be on the daily psych guys anymore because your dick has bumps on it, dude. You'd be like, Anna, first of all, why would you
Starting point is 00:58:55 say that to my face? First of all, this is a podcast. What's my dick got to do with it? Well, I'm just saying. Can you not call me dude in a medical report, please? Dude, my bro. you're sick bro they have to they always have the std test because they what is it's always like in the later rounds when they're like oh you're gonna take you're gonna spend the night well that's i'm glad you asked miles thank you so much last night was the fantasy suites episode what does that mean that's the
Starting point is 00:59:19 fucking episode yeah so three contestants make it to this round which means it's right after hometown so he takes them home meets their families hometown they go and meet the women's The fucking episode? Yeah. So three contestants make it to this round, which means it's right after hometown. So he takes them home, meets their families. What's a hometown? The buffet? They go and meet the women's or the men's, the contestants' families. Oh, got you. Oh, because it's getting serious now.
Starting point is 00:59:33 You got to meet the family, mom. And the dads are all aggro and all that. Or their moms are all a little too attached. It's always a very interesting. I would never let my family on such a show. Right. It's just like way to like just – I would love to see you on The Bachelor within the Meet the Family episode, the hometown of – anyway. So they did that.
Starting point is 00:59:53 So now it's a fantasy suite. So now it's a fantasy suite, which means that the woman or the guy, the contestant gets to choose if they will spend a night with The Bachelor or Bachelorette. So last night that happened, which means a bachelor, Ari Leyendeich Jr. Um, he, there was, for the, for the listeners,
Starting point is 01:00:09 there was a series of blinks and eye rolls that you were triggered by his own name, by his name, his name deeply hurt you. I have my feelings towards him. Um, he got to sleep with basically three different women in three consecutive nights,
Starting point is 01:00:23 basically exhausting. Yes. And, and luckily at this point, the women don't actually have to see each other for the most part they all like room up until it's about like uh hometown so now they're not dicks they don't make them all have to hang out like oh that was your right right oh so they're all just like cordoned off by themselves yes because at this point you're so deep in that you don't want to hang out with your boyfriend's other girlfriend. Right, right.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Like it would just be absurd and mentally – Yeah, and have him come back. How is he like, ooh, we fucked. Yeah, exactly. Same. Yeah. So, yeah. And so you don't want someone who has STDs to just be –
Starting point is 01:00:59 Yeah, that's true. Giving it out to your bachelor and bachelorette. And in this show, compared to like their other kinds of shows that they have in this series like Bachelor in Paradise, they really protect, the producers protect their main person, their bachelor or bachelorette. So you don't want them to look like a fool. You don't want them to get... STDs.
Starting point is 01:01:18 You don't want them to get herpes from a contestant. So yeah, it's... Guys, your sexual health is very important so please get tested because you don't want to have a producer calling you saying oh you should call your doctor that's the worst nightmare um uh yeah speaking of miles we should talk okay sounds good uh okay all right that's gonna do it for this week's weekly Zeitgeist. Please like and review the show if you like the show. It means the world to Miles. He needs your validation, folks.
Starting point is 01:01:54 I hope you're having a great weekend, and I will talk to you Monday. Bye. Thank you.
