Good to have you back.
Starting point is 00:00:51 I've got... Always fun. I've got Dan, I've got Sue Gods and I've got Greg Cody in with us right now. They will welcome you in and get going after a brief countdown Amazing, thank you. Can you is it possible for you to tilt your camera down just a little bit? Good Money I'm being told money. Okay. Good. Okay. Cool. Good. Good. Good. Thank you very much. Dan. Take it away five four three two one
Starting point is 00:01:30 We've got Trump taking the stand in one of his many trials It's election day Molly John fast does the podcast fast politics. She writes it Well weekly newsletter for vanity fair where she's a special correspondent and she helps us understand complicated things better. Thank you, Molly, for making the time for us. Let me start with what I was talking about before you came on, five dollars. Can you tell us what faith you have in polling given what the last 10 years of polling have revealed?
Starting point is 00:02:03 given what the last 10 years of polling have revealed. I think we should look back to the 2022 red wave, which did not materialize. Yeah, I don't have a huge faith in polling. Again, this is a poll, this big poll that got everyone hysterical from the New York Times, 3,600. I think was the number of people called on cell phones and landlines. I don't know. Do you pick up unknown numbers on your phone? I don't give it a lot of... Let me rephrase that.
Starting point is 00:02:36 I think it's good to worry and Democrats love to worry. And there's going to be a lot of good worrying going on in the next year, but I'm not, I do not think these polls are something you could take to the bank. Can you please help me understand that because historically a lot of people pay a lot of money for this information and until recently this was information that you can trust. I don't know when that fell apart, how that fell apart, did it fall apart because of the way that people answer their phone differently than they used to, or because they always lie when taking polls. And they act differently when it comes time to vote.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Well, I think it's, I think you're right, Dan, and I think there are a number, I think there are a couple of factors that do add to this polling problem. And some of it is that people don't answer their phones, they aren't home phones, there isn't this culture of poll, you know, we used to have Nelson boxes, Neil's boxes. I mean, we were in a different world where there was a lot of like, you know, you were a consumer, you gave data to companies in a very deliberate way. Now you give data to companies in a very deliberate way. Now you give data to companies in a very undeliberate way. But the thing I would say about these polls is there
Starting point is 00:03:53 are trend lines that are important for the Biden administration and more importantly, the Biden campaign to watch. And those trend lines are young voters, Hispanic voters, young black voters, those are the voters that Democrats need to make sure that they are serving, that they are reaching out to. And that stuff like student loan debt, and that stuff like, you know, greater accountability and government, I mean, there, you know, there are things you can do to appeal to those voters. And I think Biden has been trying to, again, it's early days, but the trend lines,
Starting point is 00:04:31 I mean, certainly, like, if you look at those polls, the Nevada numbers, Nevada numbers, the Nevada, the Nevada numbers, I don't know if I'm pronouncing it right, those numbers are, those are bad numbers for Biden. So that is certainly shows that he is not doing what he should be doing with younger Hispanic voters. Let me understand, though, beyond the polling, okay? How? You can have 91 felony charges beyond the polling and have me thinking Beyond the polling and have me thinking that I still think America might vote for this person. How is that possible? So two things.
Starting point is 00:05:14 One Donald Trump and I actually had John Carl on my podcast. We were just talking about this. Donald Trump has not gotten a lot of media scrutiny over the last year and he hasn't gotten as much coverage. So we haven't seen, sure we've seen the court cases and sure we've seen the situations around Trump get coverage, but we haven't seen so much of the sort of Trump on the stump stuff. And if you listen to that, you're pretty horrified.
Starting point is 00:05:39 So I do think some of this is that he just hasn't been in the spotlight. I think when he's more in the spotlight, people will sort of remember a lot of the craziness. One of the things that's really clear as I have watched a lot of Trump rallies is that he's really lost the staff. You know, even three years ago, he made a lot more sense. And because he speaks so quickly and freely and unscripted, he really does, you know, you see him not knowing what's stately then, not knowing, you know, where he is. There's a lot of that kind of stuff, which you're, if he's going to go after Biden for being old, that's not going to do well for him.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Helping himself or hurting himself on the stand. I mean, again, he helps himself with primary voters because primary voters see the world the way he does. I'm not sure that screaming at a judge is going to help you when the judge is about to decide the penalty in your civil trial. For me I would not scream at the judge who was deciding my fate, but that's just me. What is the path for him to make any kind of gains when it comes to independence? What is the company line there to attract independence? Because it seems by doubling down on the behavior that kind of turned him away the last time
Starting point is 00:07:00 that he's not going to make any progress there. Well, that's a big question, right? There's a soccer mom in Arizona really care about Trump's retribution for his federal charges in New York State courtroom. I'm not convinced that that's a winning message for swing state voters who are, I mean, look, swing state voters are concerned with the economy with inflation with you know uh... with
Starting point is 00:07:27 with the sort of foreign wars more generally i don't think they necessarily care if a bomb guy has to go on the standard not how much do you think by the day it will impact the selection again if i were my thinking was always that if Biden were running against someone like Ron D. Santas, it would be really a problem for him, right? Because Ron D. Santas is 45 years old. And you know, he may or may not wear lifts, but he is 45, right?
Starting point is 00:07:57 He's a young girl guy. Whereas again, this is not a criticism of wearing lifts. I mean, good for him. But I, so so but he's running in someone who's 78 or 77 who so I think Trump making this case against Biden for being old when also being old is not going to he's not going to be able to sell it. Does the Democratic Party have a better viable alternative to Biden. So this is like the $24 billion question,
Starting point is 00:08:29 is like, could you, I mean, Biden did really well and Biden has been always underestimated. Do I, like, love Biden? Do I, I mean, I don't know that voters are obsessed with him the way they might have been with an Obama or even a Bill Clinton, right, or I mean junior the JFK senior sorry there are politicians that are these kind of figures these important sort of spiritual figures in American life job I know is not one of those politicians but he was
Starting point is 00:09:01 able to put together a lot of voters and he read in a way that was a sort of traditional politician. I mean, if you had, if Biden had said that he wasn't going to run and you ran a full, you could do it, but I just think that it doesn't, I think it's going to make, it's going to have a very divided Democratic party. And ultimately, you have an incumbent and why sacrifice incumbent say how much will Robert Kennedy Jr. affect the race? So he's an interesting candidate because I think a lot of the people who supported him hopes that he would hurt Biden, but a lot of his policies are very Republican policies,
Starting point is 00:09:42 right? Like the anti-backed stuff has turned from a liberal thing to a conservative thing. He's the anti, I mean, you know, he wants to steal the border, right? That's not a very democratic policy. He's got a lot of stuff that seems really, really Republican. And in fact, there's polling and again polling. We're going to take it with the greatest thought, but there's some polling that shows that he actually pulls from Trump and it would make sense because he has a lot of Trump's policies why does Kono West believe he's going to win a presidency?
Starting point is 00:10:13 uh... Kono West is like a very smart guy an important activist this really bums me out look do i wish that there were uh... really smart black activists in this presidential race or any presidential race? Yes, but do I think he's the person for it? Probably not. And it's a really a bummer because he's really done so much good work and is very, very
Starting point is 00:10:42 smart and interesting and important and a really important voice, but this is probably not his moment. The Republican, the next Republican debate is in Miami here tomorrow, I believe. You're expecting what? I'm expecting what we've seen in the last two, which is a whole lot of nothing, right? That five candidates on the stage, none of whom are polling it more than to, you know, none of them are polling it double digits. Uh, the front runner is doing counter programming somewhere else. You know, you have, it's all undercard, right?
Starting point is 00:11:18 If you have no one who is possibly going to get the nomination, then that makes me think it's all undercard. You're mortified that we can't do better than this, correct? Let's just lay it out there. Let's just step back from everything that's happening here. You are aspiring to be an object virtue fairness person. You're mortified. We've arrived at a level of such extremes and stupidity that what you're watching is actively stupid, is it not? I mean, yes, but you know, they nominated a reality television host and we, and I want to say it like yes, it's stupid, but we have a long history of doing stupid stuff in
Starting point is 00:11:58 this country. So I would like you, this is a new, we have done many stupid things in this country. We will likely continue to do stupid stuff. All I want is democracy to continue. It doesn't have to be anyone's first choice, but the stakes are quite high in this election. It's not like a 1990s election where one guy wears a brown tie and the other guy wears a red tie and we're talking about the merits of that. I mean, this is the big one. And so, yes, it's such a low bar. It's just just please by 2024 allow freedom
Starting point is 00:12:36 to not be gone. Yes, I mean, I don't want to move out of the country. so please. That's where we are. Excellent. That's where we are. Fast politics. You want to know how fast this fast? We just want to stay free. It's such a bare minimum ask. And I'm not sure we're going to achieve it. And neither, neither is Molly. Yep. You don't know Molly. You don't know if I make you guess right now and be right, you don't know. I mean, I certainly hope that democracy keeps going because I don't love the, you know, Trump is getting ready for a retribution tour and the stuff he's got planned seems, I don't want to go to Gitmo, you know.
Starting point is 00:13:19 All right, very good. Thank you, thank you Molly. Thank you. I don't want to go to Gitmo. All right, I just, I'm a hoping democracy doesn't fall. All right, yeah, you mentioned that. Just mortify. What's behind a life electrified?
Starting point is 00:13:38 What's lighting up our communities? Powering more carbon-free commutes? And boosting homegrown innovations, its electricity generated right here at home. From a newable hydro to nuclear, our lowest carbon energy source. Ontario Power Generation is shaping the clean energy future by investing in Ontario and electrifying life every day. See how at opg.com. Don't live a tard! Why are you guys blurting out safety names? to find life every day. See how at opg.com. Don Lebatard.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Why are you guys blurting out safety names? It's the best game ever. We were talking about an art Pollard. And now I think we're just playing a game in this studio where we're just naming safeties, kind of like the 90s baseball player game. Like a couple minutes ago, I just blurted out Brock Marion. Great work. And it made a few people happy. Yep. Still got Bob Sanders. Yeah. You know, he was early in the list. Classic. Very cathartic. Yeah. Adam Archaleta. Not a good safety.
Starting point is 00:14:35 No, but a great name in that name. He had a run name alone. Sounds like he should be better. Adam was a good safety for a few years. Did someone say Brock Marion? Yeah, that's where this one was a gambit. Listen, I'm struggling with memories I get older. This is the Don Limita show with the Stugats. When he's not plotting during the break, Stugats is doing his own show during the break. And so he just asked Stugots is doing his own show during the break and so he just asked Stugots just asked Greg Cody You can only have one Greg Cody Democracy or football it's a good question and Greg Cody stared in him and there was a long long pause and Greg Cody said democracy, but I'd really miss football And then Greg Cody said but I'd give up college. Yeah right. I agree. I don't want to get greedy. Give me democracy
Starting point is 00:15:35 and the NFL and I'm good. Yes. That's the concession I'll make. Okay. Is college football. I mean there's five games a year we care about. Major baseball gone? Sure. Yeah. Oh man. We're not flippin' about this as a country. Are we like in the understanding the freedom, the protection of it requires eternal vigilance. It can't be something we're complacent about. We can't just, how did the room feel about just the ending of that conversation? I'm confident in my ability to get back to the emotional state I need to be come next November.
Starting point is 00:16:11 And I've really enjoyed my break from the Trump regime over these last few years and people are always like, well, economy and inflation, you happy? There are no mean tweets. Well, actually, yeah, I'm happy that there are no mean tweets. And I'm actually not really paying all that much attention right now because I know, come next November, I'm gonna, I'm gonna rhyme myself up to unhealthy mental places and I'll fear the fall of democracy and all these things
Starting point is 00:16:37 and knowing that I'll get there, knowing that it'll be like a bike. You're pacing yourself. It's like a slow management. I don't need to entertain whether or not i need to give up action for freedom i don't like it's i understand the gravity of the situation i'm locked in loaded i'm ready to vote like to i if i could vote now i would
Starting point is 00:16:55 what they said actually actually election day it's election day it's also important actually just go out there get on a vote because fall democracy and all that but you you were on the other side of room is fear and depression but it can be load management
Starting point is 00:17:11 it is it as you age and there's certain number of anxieties and mental strains in your daily life you're allowed to i believe i asked micrion oh i asked micrion the other day if you had seen the last week tonight on that John Oliver did on the McKenzie group that Adam McKay keeps referencing like a truly, truly evil outfit. And Mike Ryan's response was world bad place going to watch cartoons.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Yeah, Warner Brothers Animation. Oh, yeah. Wonderful. Injustice. It's been on the max app just watching all these DC cartoons. Something nice and light. I've been watching a lot of Leslie Neilsen lately. And it's been doing wonders before me.
Starting point is 00:17:50 It's just something nice and light as the world burns quite literally and figuratively as- What are you going to do about it? I mean, I'm going to vote next November. I'm with you though. Watch cartoons until then. Or today, or you can vote today. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
Starting point is 00:18:03 no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, No, no, no Today's not good. Today's not good for you guys. Today doesn't work for me. Today's important, though. Because it's democracy. It's too much to what's important about today. I'm not voting, but I'm told it's important.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Tell me what I'm doing. I'm not voting. Bam out of bio said you should vote. No. 2020 and 10 got me considering it. It's today the day we vote for the bats, sir. You should vote, go go out early and all today Not early and often and be careful with locked and loaded as as verbs on on of all kinds
Starting point is 00:18:33 You know, it's a misnomer that they're coming to take guns. That's Just they're not coming to take guns are coming to prevent guns. I don't want to have this conversation But I would say to gods. It's an effective effective slogan, and we just let it go unchecked. Kind of like how down here, there's like, ah, Biden, he's a socialist, and Biden's just like, but okay, you're opinion. Let's get fully disagree. I would take it respectfully disagree.
Starting point is 00:18:58 See, you're trying to get me there. It's not going to happen. I'm going to watch my cartoons. It seems like he's trying to get off of it. Yeah, he is. I was trying to, and then you mentioned guns, and I did. You went locked and loaded, and I took a suspension,
Starting point is 00:19:12 and you went locked. You know what I like to see? I like to see Leslie Nielsen settle up to the bar, and say, give me the strongest thing you got, and the waiter pulls up with a really oiled up beef cake. Yes, speaking of guns, I want to see the naked gun with Leslie Nielsen. Yeah, you talk. What was the story you sent me the other day that Leslie Nielsen, he was a
Starting point is 00:19:29 prodigious whoopee cushion user and it is something I believe we can all use. I believe that that was soft and simmering tensions in America. If I just gave it, if I give everybody just a whoopee cushion sound, I believe it's the original humor i believe before there was speech there was a cave person climbing up a a tree and farted and the other cave person laughed i believe that's the original comedy you don't think they were confused it had it stays out it's not anymore i mean the after an initial burst of confusion where's that smell from they can't talk i do believe that laughter was the universal bridge that was crossed in whatever the original fart sound was.
Starting point is 00:20:09 And no one used it to greater effect. I do not believe that Leslie Nielsen who traveled with a whoopie. The story as I recalled it was like Leslie Nielsen played the long game with Priscilla Presley. Well before she co-starred in the naked gun movies, Leslie Nielsen was on set. Well she was on set of an Elvis movie and there was like a love scene and it was making everybody uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:20:30 and Leslie Nielsen sees the moment to walk up to Priscilla Presley, hand her a business card and say if you ever wanna talk about it, let me know. And he'd let out a huge fart in that moment, let out a huge fart. And moment. Let out a huge fart. And as he walked away, that's when Priscilla Presley read the business card that said Leslie Nielsen because she didn't know who he was before.
Starting point is 00:20:51 And let's get to the stat of the day here. I've got one as well. And I want to get to this video from the Bucks game that I've been trying to get to for two days, that I have time shot that wins $10,000. But first, let it's the star of the day. Star of the day, star of the day, and it's the star of the day. Star of the day, star of the day, and it's the star of the day. Please, start of the day, brought to you by Venmo, your money, your move, down to
Starting point is 00:21:49 Josh Darrow. Are you going first or you want me to go first? I'll go first. Wait, he's Josh Darrow. I'll deliver as a complicated legacy, Joe Zagaki. This Dan have to deliver his yaw. Yeah, I don't know if you've been watching the ice hockey, but there's a pretty bad team.
Starting point is 00:22:14 The San Jose Sharks might be the worst team ever assembled and through 12 games, they have scored 12 goals. Austin Matthews has 13 goals through the exact same amount of games. Roy is shaking his head sadly, a lack of offense. Bathers you Roy. That's a way to play a patch on a Friday. So we'll get it for you. Down to Josh Darrow. Tellable team, then. Tellable. When is after the game? At the Friday's game is when the next post game. I'm being told Josh Darrow has a set of the day. That one's brought to you by Bill
Starting point is 00:22:52 Scydles Neson. Scydles could have saved you. Scydles saves Tony has a new nomination for best jingles ever heard from local car commercials local commercials in general will get to that in a second but Julius Randall in his first six games this has to be one of the most hated New York Knicks ever. This does it sound like Josh Darrow. I don't know how that I don't know how to do a fake Josh Darrow so I'm just going to give you the stat. Julius Randall going to give you the stat. Julius Randall is in his first six games is shooting 27.1% from the field. That is the worst of anybody through six games since 1959. So Julius Randall
Starting point is 00:23:35 who was blamed for the end of last season for basically just getting in Brunson's way, for taking a lot of ill-advised shots. He has not merely started this season a great deal worse than just Julius Randall, but a great deal worse than anyone who has dribbled in shot a basketball in professional basketball since 1959. And it's brought to you by Bill Sydel's Nissan. Bill Sydel's gonna save you. Sydles Nissan. Bill Sittles go on the same. Yeah. Sittles saves. Great job, Josh. I think before the show, when you said that to me,
Starting point is 00:24:11 something about Julius Randall, I blurted out off to a good start. Well, no, you said before I gave you the stat, this is something you did. I actually meant to make fun of you about that. I just said Julius Randall and you said, good start so far in the season. You were not knowing anything, just faking it and they won the last game.
Starting point is 00:24:28 I actually meant to do it that way and I totally forgot that you said before the show. He's off to a strong start this season and you meant it. But Tony, last week you told us, share it with Greg Cody. I don't think Greg Cody knows this. He nominated for best jingle ever, the Maroonie Ghostbusters ad. Oh yeah. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da perfect do you have any nominations thinking back local commercials over the years uh... he's petering out not only it's just probably an old time you know
Starting point is 00:25:09 uh... is running out of the can ask open any questions about your uh... the i do remember gordon of the jolly green giant i do remember the commercial for some sort of a pasta sauce of red sauce or something where the guy goes that's a spicy meatable!
Starting point is 00:25:27 I remember that line. That's a spicy meatball commercial. That won't be allowed in four years. The wait for that to age poorly. Dan, I have a new one though. I know I said last time Maruni was the best of all time, but I think I have found one to supersede Maroonie and it's this one right here Chantin' for it They all forget the experience of Chantin' for it It's tropical, aright, a pomelo and very well-spoken
Starting point is 00:26:10 Chantin' for it All right, street dance You have to take Lucy to Santa's enchanted forest It is so very not-in-chant It's not on pomelo and bird road anymore Which is a very important distinction That was again, one of the biggest hooks of the song is on Palmetto and
Starting point is 00:26:26 Bert Rohn doesn't have anymore. Now it's something different, Billy. There's a there's a big controversy going on right now. So, Sanctus and Chanted Forest had to move a couple years ago. I think that it was a combination of the least running out and they turned this spot into COVID testing for years. So now it's in Hyalia somewhere, I believe Miami Gardens, whatever. And this year they're opening where used to be sand is enchanted for
Starting point is 00:26:50 is something called Christmas Wonderland. And what's going on now to the unknowledgeable person you think, oh, Santa's thought that they were too big for next to Tropical Park and they air over in their new spot and I'm gonna go to Christmas Wonderland and support them. Apparently there are some nefarious actions going on. And now a lawsuit has been filed by Sanstas and Chantant Forest to shut down Christmas Wonderland. Wow.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Warring Wonderlands. That kind of thing. You know, that's what we're done. I didn't have time to get to the fact that that's a spicy meat double is an alka-sultra. Slay the holidays with Real Canadian Superstores PC Holiday Insiders Report. I gotta tell you, I'm really worried about climate change. We need to do everything possible to lower our carbon footprint.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Canadians believe we need to reduce emissions. Canada's oil sands companies agree. To invest in technologies that can reduce CO2. In a big way. That's why we're proposing to build one of the world's largest carbon capture in storage networks. We have to work together, industry, and governments to lower carbon emissions wherever we can.
Starting point is 00:28:20 See our plan at pathwaysaliance.ca. Don Lebertard. You know what a razor is, Dan? I do not know. I don't know what a Motorola razor is. You don't? No. I bet you you had one.
Starting point is 00:28:33 I did not have one. Really? Let's walk through your phone history. What kind of phone is it? I've never had a Motorola razor. I did not have a Motorola razor. What was your first phone? Ooh.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Not a Motorola razor. It's a telegraph machine. After that. The Motorola razor, Dan, was the one that was really, really thin. a motor racer phone not a motor racer after that the motor racer dan was the one that was like really really thin that it flipped over but it was like as thin as like a razor blade that's why they called it the razor what is a telegraph machine i don't know they have one in down nabby still got the tautonic stop has sunken stop john take a bath or stop is missing stop
Starting point is 00:29:11 You think that was my phone you think that my first phone was the Titanic's Emergency signal this is the down lebertar show with this to got a Tweeter stugatz has written in complaining as many have about the anime-k climate fact of the day, horrifying climate fact of the day, and the complaint has a bunch of insults in it, including, uh, is someone shaking him while he talks, uh, which I just simply responded to. He has an essential tremor. He has a tremor and the response is just, well, fuck.
Starting point is 00:29:50 Yeah. Proper response, I think. That is correct. That is the proper response. We have some video that I want to get to here because I've been wanting to get to it for a couple of days and we have to go to the bucket of death. An assortment of us have to go to the bucket of death. But to guys, how do you think you would react? If you made a shot at half-court during a
Starting point is 00:30:16 game, I think these should be worth more than $10,000. I think the degree of difficulty on this, if you actually make it, this should be insured in a way that wins more money than this because it's really hard to make a shot from half court when you've got one try and everybody's watching. It's why they put it there. Yeah, but I'm just saying you don't think that should be worth more than that. It's half-time entertainment and anytime something like this happens, it pays for itself in terms of what it is that you want, which is people to associate with your brand, happiness and enjoy that people come to sports to experience. I'd like you to be worth more, but I don't take take that. Like, you know, it's a free crack at $10,000, you know?
Starting point is 00:30:53 Yeah, it's worth the right amount. A lot of times, it's just the in, it doesn't go, they don't all go viral. So it's like, you need to go viral for you to really get your money's worth. But I think most of the times, when these get made, it's something,'s something anybody can connect with the idea of you're an every man.
Starting point is 00:31:10 You get one chance, you, whatever it is you've been thinking about in your childhood. You get one chance and then you actually make it win $10,000. And if I gave you the choice of the $10,000 or the feeling that you'll have for the rest of your life, you had to choose between the two. My guess is that very little in life has ever given you that much instantaneous joy. Winning $10,000, making a shot from half-court.
Starting point is 00:31:35 So here in Milwaukee, you see this video and it's wonderful. The reaction is what you expect. First time in the In Season tournament, we've already had fireworks. How about this gentleman from half court where did you go? $1.00 uh... he ran right through the tunnel made the shot ran off the court didn't even want to stay on the court to bask in all the noise in the enthusiasm uh...
Starting point is 00:31:57 makes it off of the backboard bank is open i hope he called glass there's probably a mountain paper work yes paperwork. Yes, he should get more. There should be a bylaw that says. You get like three if you hit glass. Dan, from what you were saying before, we're here and back here that you want to have like a show half court shooting competition.
Starting point is 00:32:15 10 grand for every makes it. Oh, man, you kid make that. Watch it to be more though. I am. Maybe three attempts each. Guys, putt was on the line. Just qualified. Can I just stop for a second? I want to freeze on what was chasing him through the tunnel.
Starting point is 00:32:36 There was a referee with antlers. Is that a no or it's the same answer to you wanting Captain Lee on Jimmy Johnson. How's that going? All right. Two attempts. Can we see the video of what was chasing him into the tunnel because that is a referee dressed as a buck in the background? I just want it to buck dress as a referee. Backwards, yeah. Are you sure?
Starting point is 00:32:55 I'm not sure. No, I'm pretty sure that's on Joey Crawford dresses a buck. Oh, I think that we need to look at it. That's a normal buck in a bug. I think that we need a normal bug. That is a bug. Dresses a referee. I think that's a Milwaukee Bucks mascot putting on a referee structure. It was a real deer on a time like you can't prove it. Real deer on a time legs. That's a real deer on his hind legs. That's remarkable. Get the bucket of death music.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Who's got to go to the top of death? A couple people won't be here later in the week when we do this properly. So Billy, Greg Cody and Seagots will be going to the bucket of death, which is brought to you by KFC's new hot and spicy wings. We're in eight piece of new hot and spicy wings for 499. The participating KFC today, its finger, licking, good. Somehow we have like three or four different people who have the golden helmet of life, which makes no sense whatsoever. It's not. You do not have it Tony. I got it last week. You did not lose. You last week. Yeah, cheater cheater. Very good. Yeah, that's Bucket Billy is going to the bucket now. Is that the commander? It is the commander's at the sea hog
Starting point is 00:34:17 Sam howl good Tony you are the lover of all quarterbacks. Thank you. Average. No, Sam Howell does look good. Thank you. He does. He does. He does. Try to tell your limit, see this? A gamer.
Starting point is 00:34:29 I got the Jags who are hosting the 49ers. That much better. That's one of two good games next week. Jags are a three point dog at home. All lines courtesy of Draft King Sportsbook. Tony is someone who every single week falls in love with a quarterback who has gone 24 28 for a
Starting point is 00:34:48 184 yard. Yeah, but yeah, but how old's not doing that he throws it down the field he does Throwes it to Logan Thomas plenty Find that everybody gets sack with the time and he turns it's not his fault I mean it is kind of his fault. He holds on to the ball. A little long sometimes. Yeah. Rumaging. It's a gamer. Yeah, he is. It's good quarterback. The packers, Jordan love. He's not good. I'm putting it back. I think there are three point dog at Kenny Pickett Steelers. Oh, no. No, no. Steelers. Are they still Kenny Pickett Steelers? Wasn't he benched? No. Oh, that's no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yeah. Yeah, St. Ed Vikings. Oh Josh Dobbs. Oh, no
Starting point is 00:35:47 You're two and a half point favored on the road Can I get a good team? Please There aren't any I know That's you got sorry to gots already has the rummage thing. That's his use on a by week. There's four teams on a by the Colts The Dolphins chief Rams and Eagles are on the belt. Colts are at the Patriots, but the Patriots are at Frankfurt. So this game is in Germany, it's a Sunday morning game, and your Colts are a two-point favorite. All bets are off, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Really? Yeah, all bets are off. That's a keeper. Patriots stink. I agree. Oh, Bob. Denver for the level. At Bill's Monday Night Football.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Oh, no. Yeah. But the bill's good. That's what this thing's supposed to do. For the love of Pat Bills, Monday Night Football. Oh, no! Yeah! The bill's good. That's what this thing's supposed to do. The bills aren't good. What do you mean you know that the bills are good? You might not trust them. They lost it at Jets.
Starting point is 00:36:33 That was a good bucket. So did the eagle. That choice I made. No one's very happy. This makes the audience happy. Well, the Golden Helmet of Life is getting distributed too much. I believe a lot of people are cheating around here i believe that uh... billy does not rule with an iron
Starting point is 00:36:48 i hate most of them matter how much it's claims it you have like three or four people with the golden helmet of life that's always been the case is just fifty people picking now before we have like four can we come up with the definitive list of which teams are good because you just said the bills are good if the bills are are good, I get to say the dolphins are good. Well, the dolphins are good. Now everyone says they can't be good teams. No, the way that people are doing this and it tends to be pretty stupid, but the way
Starting point is 00:37:16 that people are doing this is that you know the two thirds of the teams in the league do not have a legitimate chance to win the Super Bowl, not by fluke, not by happenstance, not by anything else. So you have 10 teams to choose from if you want to include teams like the bills and the chargers in there, if you if you want to. And I think that while you might not trust the bills, you've certainly seen enough the last few seasons to know that if Josh Allen doesn't turn the ball over, even if they're in a depreciated state, they're one of the best teams in football.
Starting point is 00:37:51 You know this. You have a sample size that extends beyond this year. So they might regress this year. They might not be as good as they are the last couple of years. The Bengals might not be as good as they've been the last couple of years. The Chiefs might not be as good offensively as they've been the last couple of years. The chiefs might not be as good offensively as they've been the last couple of years, but you know that there are eight to 10 teams that can win the Super Bowl,
Starting point is 00:38:10 and if they are healthy San Francisco is one of them. If they are healthy Philadelphia is one of them. The teams that are six and two, the teams that are six and three, the Lions, those are the teams you look at, and then you don't trust teams like Seattle you don't believe in teams like Seattle who can't convert third downs and can't go on the road and do anything you don't even totally trust Baltimore because you've seen what Lamar Jackson has
Starting point is 00:38:34 been in the playoffs and you might not totally trust that even though they're they're they're play is very physical at the line of scrimmage. They look a little bit like Philadelphia in terms of being a team that man handles other teams, even Seattle and Detroit physically upfront. But what are you doing with Josh Allen? Because he's never done it like he had the game against Kansas City. They lost that game. He's never advanced for in the playoffs. Do you or do you not remember that the last couple of years, the bills are playing important games in a way that they're favored to win them. Yeah, losing the bangles have derailed them
Starting point is 00:39:10 He's made it far and then play us. You made it to a conference championship game Or did you forget one of the greatest games? So is Lamar though? I'm saying as it relates to Lamar Jackson He's made it to a conference championship. Has it no Lamar no Lamar Jackson has not been someone who has carried teams during the postseason. No, you were just guessing. And Josh Allen was what 13 seconds away. 13 seconds from my homes to Kelsey away. We're going. We we we agree. Man, come on. We're not in agreement that the bills the last few years are legitimate contender. We're not in agreement on that. Yeah, but their windows closing, I think,
Starting point is 00:39:46 I think the bills were better. They're a game behind the dolphins and they won by four touchdowns when they played them. No, I get all that. That window, it's closing. They have been getting more and more hurt since that. I got a lot of injuries. I like Baltimore better than I like Jacksonville.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Best abilities availability. No, don't underestimate the Ravens. The crows are gonna be there watch watch it the crow's a different bird can call one bird by different that's not that they're not that this is how he peters out watch it like the crow's you call them the birds and it's all he's got left at the end of the show he calls the ravens a different kind of bird and then his bold prediction is watch it watch it i mean you're you're the one disrespecting
Starting point is 00:40:26 uh... lamar jackson uh... and all-time lobo you know you don't expect l jack believe me he's gonna be right there he also referenced a commercial from nineteen sixty nine so do we have that do we have that commercial let's play that uh... he was defending himself saying it's an alka seltzer commercial alka seltzer can help un-stuff you relieve the acid indigestion and help make you your old self again
Starting point is 00:40:51 and me that's a spicy meat board uh... that guy is not a talian that's a fake action that somehow disemboweled enough it commercial. Yeah, it's a fake accent. It somehow disemboweled enough it.
