Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to Giraffe King's Network. This is the Dunluba Tarshou with this Tougat's podcast. Alright, I want to talk about something and maybe someone in our midst has done this. Okay. Mids are in our midst. Whatever man, like I don't, mids are gloves. You just fit in the Dan roll perfect. That's your thing.
Starting point is 00:00:32 So I just want to know, are you pronouncing the word one? I don't even think you know what it is. It's an M-I-D-S-T. Yeah, well aren't you smart? Well, all right, so tell. Give me answer. Let's say we're at a hotel, is he? All of us as a group are on a work trip.
Starting point is 00:00:47 Before we go to dinner, I'm like, hey, stop by my room and then we'll go down together. And you come into my room, me, you, Billy are hanging out before dinner and you're like, you know what, hey, I gotta go to the bathroom. So you walk into my bathroom in my hotel room and you just start unloading a large, I want to see a piss, a meaty piss, a miss, a miss, I wanna see a piss. A meaty piss. A miss. A miss.
Starting point is 00:01:08 A miss. With the door open. With the door open. Is this a move that you would do, Izzy? Which are you shutting the door? What's the strategy here? I have such PTSD over this, but this goes. PX-T level.
Starting point is 00:01:20 I mean, how much information do you guys wanna know about me? I mean, you kind of already know I got a shy bladder We kind of joke throwing there that Mike had a Mike's a grower and so we know a little bit about our two We might as well get more info. All right one of these situations happened to be I was in college and it was my freshman year And we were in a dorm that was a sweet for six. Okay, so it was supposed to be built for three but how many bathrooms one for six? One bathroom. And I, one morning, went to the restroom from my room and urinated just very meekly, just very weakly. And there's all been there.
Starting point is 00:01:54 That was a reason for it. And I don't know if I want to get to the reason. Let's get to it anyway. But, you know, my roommate from the other, from the living room, Tor, I think was his real name. He was a gator named Tor, how fun he's at. I thought this guy tore something at first. No, he just said, wow, you piss like a B word.
Starting point is 00:02:10 And I'm just like, first of all, there's no manliness to urinating. There's no manliness to like getting rid of your poison or whatever. Getting rid of your way. There are levels of flow. But, but like a B word, like, come on now. No, that's a poor. Um, and so, but what he didn't understand is that the reason I was urinating so poorly is that just about a few days earlier during Christmas break, I had decided to get a circumcision. Oh,
Starting point is 00:02:38 whoa. As an 18 year old. Yeah. I was one of those people who grew up like a Latin kid, uncut, and then I didn't like it so much. And maybe now that I'm circling back, maybe that comes back to my shy bladder thing. Maybe it's maybe it's just I didn't really like we just crack. This was not discussed in the book. What it was that discussed in the pre-game. I should have worn my shirt. It says not on the board of me.
Starting point is 00:03:03 It's not fixed. It's right. Not on your anywhere. And so that is not something I board of Weenop. It's straight. I'm not on here anywhere. And so that is not something I've shared with anybody until I've done this on this. Well, you know people will hear this, right? Oh, yeah, I know. You're not just telling. I'm still keeping it to the imagination.
Starting point is 00:03:14 It's not like I'm showing my Ween or anything, but, you know, yeah, and that was one of those situations where it was absolutely embarrassing and frankly painful. But I could not say why. So I just limped my way back to, slowly walked my way back to my room and didn't even comment on him saying, I've pissed like a B word and then said,
Starting point is 00:03:32 man, about four or five more days before this is over. It was a very, very painful experience. Well, Jeremy's the one that did this. Not that, Jeremy. No, Jeremy did not get circumcised that he did. I would have looked at Mike's face because Mike is just not been like in a mood today. He's just not really there. He knew immediately doing online survey.
Starting point is 00:03:49 What do you think Billy was going to yell at him and say that cup doesn't mean anything? And it's just in the mood that Mike's been in all day. And now he's talking about his shy bladder and his you know two-way penis and all this other stuff that's going on and Mike is just still not happy. I'm happy to ask Billy because there was an email from the Leagues Cup. Uh, and it was like your Leagues Cup experience. Yeah. And I, I thought it would be feedback, but it's very clearly. I'm just data for them to know how to sell it the next time.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Hmm. And it's not. I would like to put an input. It would be fair if the Mexican teams could host. I don't like a case immediately following 90 minutes after extra time. I thought it would be one of those, but it wasn't. So you're just doing a worst show on your now. I'm cool. Now I'm just saying I don't like cruises. So this was this was not supposed to be me unveiling. I'm a skin. I have my
Starting point is 00:04:34 body. No, but supposed to go to a Jeremy Tache was it? I'm very happy. I'm very happy that I was circumcised by the way. I know that there's movement that you know that all feelings like it's only I've got nobody has guys. Nobody has boys in this. That's why this is a choice, but I think it's just cleaner and it's just a lovely, I have, even though I'm a grower, I'm very happy. I think I have a pretty opinion. Yeah, if the video team can now give me Chris Cody's face when Mike Ryan was saying, you know, stuff about his weiner, that would be great. Just put it on my side. I think that's a good looking dog.
Starting point is 00:05:03 You know what? I'm happy that you think you have a good looking we're because you're so shameful about the rest of your body. No, I feel good about my dog. I sense a tension between the two of you today. I don't know if anyone else is picking up my mind. There seems to be tension. What type of tension? What type of tension?
Starting point is 00:05:16 I don't know. You just seem to feel it. Not happy with each other. No, I don't think you like the survey situation. I don't know. Well, I don't know. I don't know. Now I got to tell them how much I make a year and they're like, this is interesting. I don't think I don't know. Now I got to tell them how much I make a year
Starting point is 00:05:25 and they're like, this is interesting. I don't see why that's relevant. I'd like to question you survey. I don't know how my experience was. I want to talk to them about San Jose earthquakes. You went to the game for messy. Obviously, you make a lot of money. Who else would do this move of,
Starting point is 00:05:37 I'm in a friend's hotel room. I have to urinate and I'm not going to close the door. Jeremy, explain yourself. It was me. Jeremy comes across as an alpha peer. He's honestly not the last. Yeah, normally. Yeah, I have to urinate and I'm not going to close the door. Jeremy, I mean, explain yourself. It was me. Yeah. Jeremy comes across as an alpha peer. He's honestly the last.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Yeah. I'm not. I think, I think what happened here was that you at least have your back to the doorway. Yeah. Look, because if you're, if you're just perilous and I, Lewis and I were hanging out, we were comfortable. Literally become friends. We were hanging out. We've become friends.
Starting point is 00:06:01 You spend enough time in Tahoe with somebody. It, it, It changes you. And we were hanging out on the last day that we were there. We were having a conversation. I had to pee. I got up, I walked away in Lewis's hotel room. And yeah, I left the door open to pee. I did not think it was such a big deal,
Starting point is 00:06:20 but Lewis was- Was it law- I don't know, or was it like you tried, you swung it closed, but it just didn't close. Here's the set of the room. Yeah, here's the set up. Yeah, back to the door door door doors wide open, but back is to the door, but the that's not big. It's not the mirror mirrors is huge, but that's irrelevant. No, he walks by. He can totally rely his mirror near the TV that goes to the mirror in the bathroom. All of a sudden he is just staring right at your car.
Starting point is 00:06:45 So, okay, wow. Yeah, so, you know, why felt people just say that word? Yeah, that's an aggressive word. It's so aggressive. Yeah, the heart sees it. It's just different. It just hits different. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Do we have to believe that one? Anyway, we, the way the way that the room was set up is there was there was a separate room and then there's a bit of a hallway and then down the hallway is the bathroom. So I felt at Lewis is sitting in the other room. I don't have to worry about this. Is there anybody else? No, it's just the tools that's in the room. We were having a conversation.
Starting point is 00:07:17 I don't know. I kept talking. Just like Rose. I don't think I kept talking through the whole thing, but you know, it was just a conversation. I don't know. I didn't think that it was that big of a deal. I felt like in a friendly, a friendly circumstance like that one where, yeah, we're all co-workers, but we're friends, aren't we?
Starting point is 00:07:31 Did you do the thing just in case he came by? Did you just like put both your hands behind your head? Just in the end. I mean, I didn't. I probably should have. You know, in this scenario, I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but I think because of the general, everything about me and my personality that doesn't exactly, um, I've got you shutting the door and locking it. Like I've got the noise of the little, yeah, and then playing white noise. I've got you shutting the door,
Starting point is 00:07:52 locking it and you sitting to pee. Wow. What is happening right now? That's not a neck to pee. I like sitting to pee. I did. So much more comfortable. The best. You don't have to waste. Basically at night, like you don't have to worry about seeing anything. You don't have to worry. You don't have to wear, especially at night. Like, you don't have to worry about seeing anything. You don't have to worry, you don't have to stay, you know, stand up because- I do worry about the rogue snake that you read about sometimes the snake or crawl up the, yeah. You mean touching the water?
Starting point is 00:08:13 Oh, I mean, I know the snake. Yeah, yeah, like I just, I'm there. I'm sitting in the dark. Cause if you go to sit down at night, it's, you don't need to turn the lights on. You're not, it's impossible to miss. You're sitting down like, no way. Love a night.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Yeah, you go through your stomach, through the house, it's dark. You're just like, I just I just got to go real quick boom sit down and then all of a sudden I have the fear of all of us. I know is he if you're taking a nap now turn your head set down slightly just And then it bites you right there you guys are like go back to sleep for a little bit while you're like And that's what I just sitting just like rest your eyes. I've never fallen asleep on the toilet. No, I'm peeing And I'm just like the dangers here like 10 more. When you sit to pee as you sit to pee and you realize oh no I got to go and I didn't bring my phone's a dangerous game. You're like 10 more seconds. When you sit to pee, as you sit to pee and you realize, oh no, I gotta go and I didn't bring my phone. What?
Starting point is 00:08:49 Yeah. I'll go poo. Yeah, I gotta go number two and I didn't bring my phone. You could say without like a phone. I can't. I can't. A phoneless poop is boring. I've gone pantless back to my bed to grab my phone.
Starting point is 00:08:58 With people there. No, this is like a post work, get home from work, no one else in the house. I walk into the bathroom, pants off, sit down, not started, but pants are off. So now I'm waddling with Undy's, Winnie the Pooh to my bed to grab my phone to go back, because I can't poop without my phone.
Starting point is 00:09:14 None of this is on today's topic, at least. I just like to say, no. Week zero, we go. Is it weird that I show up and we start establishing penis factors? Why is it called week zero? I know we do this every year, but it's just, it's not everybody really starts.
Starting point is 00:09:26 It's just a handful of teams. Yeah, it's just, let's add a week. Let's just, let's make the season seem longer. Call it week one. I mean, it's just stupid. It's zero. That was a nice try. I'm gonna mark the week cover that.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Jeremy, did you feel, did you feel like you were anymore, like after somebody told you, hey, that's an alpha move. Did you feel like a bad ass? No, not at all. I like you're going to do that every time you get the chance. No, I think this, I was so caught off guard by this affecting Lewis so deeply. It's a comfort move with Lewis.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Like you don't do it if you're in Dan's room. You're not doing it. Absolutely not. I was just comfortable in this scenario with somebody who I'd been hanging out with for the last few days in What felt like a non-professional environment? And so you know a pede big deal What do you think dance hotel rooms look like?
Starting point is 00:10:13 I imagine there's a piano and you should see what the gotses hotel room looks like really? Oh my lord when we were at Super Bowl We had to go like 40 minutes in the opposite direction to get to his hotel and it looked like One of those like ranches that like someone that did something terrible would go to to be recovering from whatever horrible thing that they did. You know what I mean? Stugats is hotel room and Tahoe was bigger than my house. I can only imagine. Remember in Austin when Dan thought we were all staying at the Ritz Carlton?
Starting point is 00:10:40 No, he sent a group check. He sent a group check. Like sent a group check. How great is this hotel for all of us? And we're like, Dan, we're not all there. Well, it was the four seasons. He goes, can't believe they put us all up in the four seasons. And then I think Lewis wrote back, we're in the two seasons, buddy. We're like an underneath an overpass of an expressway. It was a lovely hotel though. Just clue.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Let's, Mike, before you were looking at your computer, now for the last three minutes, you've just been looking at me with a death stare. Now he's looking through you. Oh, yeah. I was gonna say what you were intimidating me by I was like, I thought maybe you saw something on the screen. I'm looking at your shirt. I like your Nicholas Cage shirt.
Starting point is 00:11:14 I thought that was Mike at the beginning. I was like, is that Mike on his shirt? I like his Nicholas Cage shirt. I'm not a huge Nicholas Cage fan, but I really only bought this shirt because Mike's a Nicholas Cage fan. And I was like, one day I'm going to wear it around him. And this is the third time I've worn it. You have any shirts you bought because of me?
Starting point is 00:11:30 Yeah. There's a shirt with your face on it. Yeah. You have a fan. That's the face. I mean, I have as much meaning. I'm like, you. Mike Shirt has more meaning.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I bought multiple shirts because you are your dad's son. I've got a nice head shirt. All right. I've got a back. A shirt. I've got the butt stuff shirt, which I was trying to turn into a gym shirt, but I don't feel like if people know me, maybe they don't think it's funny if you don't know me,
Starting point is 00:11:53 so I kind of threw it away. Just do it. Oh, you threw it away. I mean, I used it to clean something one time, didn't realize it wasn't a towel. I used it to clean stuff. Yeah, I used it to make different things. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:12:01 I mean, it's worse than throwing it away. Well, the one of you guys, you guys are using it. No, I mean You really want to know what I use it to clean up. I know I don't After this conversation I don't The left On the shirt down lebertard. I don't think in 2021 I can get away with my Michael Irvin radio show and press with my Michael Irvin radio show and press. No, probably not. Stougat!
Starting point is 00:12:25 Papa! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha This is the Danelebatar show with the Stugats. The circumcision is, I know it's, I know it's, it's got a religious story to it, but it's cosmetic procedure. Elective. Yeah. I mean, but when you think about, it's cosmetic procedure. Electric. Yeah. I mean, but when you think about, it's just funny to me, when you think about the peatets, like you're run of the mail, let's, the pop culture peatets. It's always circumsized. And the standard, the standard, be it dildo or what have you or even drawn penis.
Starting point is 00:13:26 He's not necessarily always a circumcised being necessarily because again, this goes back to the soft versus not soft wiener. If it's circumcised and it's not soft, then it's dildo is formed. You can't really tell the world. Cut trophy cut. There you go. I cannot even imagine that when Lucy got hired at this company, that when week zero was coming along of all the things That could have been going through her head as to what we would be talking about that this is where we would and marry me What I said to her also was in these situations. I usually lean that's exactly what I said and here are we talking about
Starting point is 00:13:59 Circumstitions right in your way quite literally the opposite three ago, almost like I've been doing a bad job of getting involved. Don't worry, I'm gonna see you all this. And it all went out of our circumcision. Well, we can have had it. I mean, tell me I'm wrong. You seem to have opinions on this. But I think like when these standard pop culture penis is a circumcised penis.
Starting point is 00:14:17 Pop culture, right? But if you go back in time, any museum you have to see. And the statue of David can tell. You see a bunch of circumcised penises in museums? I think you do. It's hard to tell. It's hard to tell. I've been saying that the statue of David. You see a bunch of, you see a bunch of circumcised penises in museums? I think you do. It's hard to tell. It's hard to tell. I've been saying that the statue of David's dong for five minutes. And I can't tell. When, when did they start circumcising folks? When did they? I don't know. Yeah. I'm on it. Like how, how, how long has this been central to the Jewish faith? That's a great question.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I feel like it's, um like it's becoming less popular. Mary, you're not sure. No, I was just asked why people stop on the glass at Jewish weddings, and I didn't even know the answer to that. So I'm not your good source on this. But when did this begin? 1,300 BC? Yeah, that's it.
Starting point is 00:14:57 So, there you go. Like that, it was a pop culture penis back then. I see. I regret glyphics. Why are we trusting this? Because that seems like an early time to start circumcisions. So according to Google, historically male circumcision was practiced among ancient Semitic people, including Egyptians and those of Jewish faith, with the earliest records
Starting point is 00:15:19 depicting circumcision on Egyptian temple and wall paintings dating from around 2300 years. Like the actual act. The actual act I'm seeing pictures right now of the hieroglyphics. Oh, I'm reading from the book of Genesis. Genesis 17 9 through 14. This is my covenant. Every male among you shall be circumcised. Lord, you're a friend. Yeah. That was a strong hello there, Chris. That was a strong hello. It actually makes me think and speaking of bats, I guess is the transition here. Talking about baseball, we're talking about dogs and talking about baseball.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Oh, baseball bat. That's back. I don't know if I'm slow what's going on today, but I'm having trouble keeping up with what's happening. That's what you saw in my face lightning fast today. Yeah, that's what you saw in my face when you said I was like, mean muggin' issy. I've had a really hard time following today's show. It's like a bit of a fever dream.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Wow. So, okay. So I've now, it's like 10,000. It's not my own way. All you need is a knife. Chris. See, this is what's happening here. Everybody's distracting. I'm sorry to sound like Ryan.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Who's looking at me? Who likes me? Your problem with Billy is that Billy's not paying attention anything. Billy's in this, I'm not saying attention. I know it's I'm right. But you're probably with Billy, is that Billy's not paying attention anything. Billy's in this, Billy's acting attention. I have to say, I'm checking. And I just locked in and he's like,
Starting point is 00:16:30 I'm supposed to say, huh? Well, that's attention. I'm just trying to. What was I supposed to say? I'm ready. Billy's never been more locked in on this. I'm never paying attention. Mike's doing polls and stuff
Starting point is 00:16:40 and then looking at David's Weiner on there. Was it David? Yeah. David's Weiner. And then Chris, I don't know what, he was printing something, but I Was it David? Yeah. David's weiner. And then Chris. I don't know what's a nice weiner. He was printing something, but I was printing something. Listen Chris, I'm just going to coach you up here.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Ready? Any Alanis Morissette song reference? Like, there you go. That's it. All right. Can we get the coaching up here? Please. It shall be the sign of the covenant between me and you.
Starting point is 00:17:02 This was told to Abraham. I have the honor of being your obedient servant. It's like reading. It's like reading. Because there's a lot of song that makes reading. You guys get it. I looked up the most famous penises in pop culture. Oh wow, on a work computer. Jason Siegel. No, I did it on my personal computer. The guy from that sex live show. But the number one was Dick Van Dyke. And that's a bad list. That's a bad list.
Starting point is 00:17:29 That bad list. Well, I just find it interesting that like when people draw Ding Dong, when you see a Ding Dong as a sex toy, nine times out of ten, it's this cosmetic surgery. Like, it's something that you have to do to make your penis look like that. Oh, it's really like the first IG filter ever. What was the your thoughts? What was the show with the big dong reveal a couple of years ago? Or like was it last year?
Starting point is 00:17:51 I remember. It was the show's sex slash life. I don't know how you're supposed to say it, but it's sex life. It's the show where this guy trying to figure out his wife's ex boyfriend and why he has this pull on him. You know exactly what I'm talking about. I mean, so this is how this place heard it. I was the only reason I know about this show. I've seen of it. show so we were talking about it like I think it was last year during the summer
Starting point is 00:18:08 whatever and my sister's saying something about the show oh if you'd the first or the third episode this minute and then my at the time six-dead-year-old niece walks by and she says oh I've seen it and I was like get out of here it's like if that's gotten to you and you've seen it, I gotta go watch this. And we went right to it and it was worth it. I've never seen an uncircumcized sex toy. Again, it goes back to my soft weeners situation. It goes back to twenty three. You're not making a soft weeners sex toy. And you know, when an uncircumcized penis gets them blood
Starting point is 00:18:40 and it doesn't look the same. Hmm. Moby Dick on this list. I mean, I'm fascinated by it because I've noticed gets them blood in it doesn't look the same. Mm. Moby Dick on this list. Mm. I mean, I'm fascinated by it because I've noticed as long as I can remember, like you, just so you know, I don't talk about dick this much. Yeah, but I'm you do.
Starting point is 00:18:55 All I've known of my penis is that it's circumcised and it lean slightly to the left, like my political beliefs. Let's see if we can buy an uncircumcised deal though. Dicks, sporting goods. So Kid Rock had a bud light, huh? Oh really? I never thought I was gonna take this conversation in this direction. I mean, it's a natural direction.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Transition. Yeah, which direction? I just didn't know. Definitely. I think I was gonna be the one to bring up the Kid Rock bud light. Yeah, I think we're going to be going to the right now. On Amazon, there are uncircumcised dildos. So I don't care how much...
Starting point is 00:19:24 How much? Kid Rock. 26.99. Oh, okay. Oh, wow. Is that a good price? on Amazon, there are on circumcised dildos. So I don't care about kid rock. 26, 99. Oh, okay. Oh, wow. Is that a good price? I don't know. Tricky Dick Nixon.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I don't care about kid rock being, I just assume most people, I'm, all right, I gotta be careful of how I say that. I don't believe. So there's an earthquake and don't really leave these conservative cult of personalities are acting in good faith anyways. I think they're all taking advantage of a situation. So I don't really care about the hypocrisies, but then I was reminded, no kid rock had that video where actually he was one of the most responsible people for this boycott.
Starting point is 00:20:03 He made a big show of it. So of any one of those conservative icons that have been espousing this nonsense about a beer, which is, you know, an American beer, not the best beer as we all know, it's Miller Life. So many to choose from. Yeah. The one you need to avoid, kid rock. There's really only one choice in a Miller Life.
Starting point is 00:20:21 That's true. It's absolutely. It's the only choice. But like, things are not for political reasons. Yeah. Well, here's the thing that I just love about this is like, people talk about like there's just firm and hard like truth that you have to, it's all about money making and business has nothing to do.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Like, it's the same thing that David Samson talks about all the time. It's just business and there's nothing personal and it's just, hey, it's dollars over everything. And that's not the way these advertising companies or these advertising arms of these companies really work. They're in a boardroom looking and talking to other people. Like obviously if it's a bunch of white old men in a boardroom, you get things that a bunch of white old men know and like, but these folks are trying to subtly
Starting point is 00:21:03 like change the world or have impact on things because it's not like every year, for example, Anheuser Bush just finds a magazine and says, hey, throw a rainbow on a can and put it on. No, they do very little subtle things over the course of time, like, hey, put a gay couple in the background of an ad, or just subtle things that just make you realize, oh, those two are in a relationship. And those are choices, those aren't forced upon them. Those are choices they make on their own in these boardroom meetings and say, hey, we want to do this
Starting point is 00:21:32 because this is the world that they live in too. They're not a bunch of robots just saying, hey, let's make all this money. And so not that I want to bring up David Samson again, but just when he says something, it's just absolute like, oh, this is the way business has done in sports. No, we could change the way business has done in sports because if you really dig into the way business has done in sports these days, it's just absolute. Like, oh, this is the way business has done in sports. No, we can change the way business has done in sports because if you really dig into the way business
Starting point is 00:21:47 has done in sports these days, it's really shitty. And you don't want to have to do it that way. And there are better ways to do things. And so, yeah, the whole argument against Bud Light once a year in June where they take a next step in their very public support of the LGBTQ community and these folks come out and say all this clown stuff, it means nothing because they don't say the clown stuff in July through whatever
Starting point is 00:22:08 that is, May, when they do a lot more subtle things, that maybe they're just not smart enough to pick up on. I just don't understand why people have to make a big show out of it. Like, I hate it. I know of people that have just totally cut it out of their lives. It was like their go-to beer. And because someone told them it's bad, someone alerted to them that this is the boycott de jour, they just joined in. I saw that Joe Rogan actually had opinions on this, and he was, he was like, what are we doing?
Starting point is 00:22:36 He was actually drinking from a butt like can, and he's like, the whole thing is dumb. And I guarantee you, there were a bunch of people like, oh, thank God Joe Rogan told me what to think about this. I've been waiting for the direction on what I'm supposed to believe when it comes to beer and I guarantee you, there were a bunch of people like, oh thank God Joe Rogan told me what to think about this. I've been waiting for the direction on what I'm supposed to believe when it comes to the beard choice. Like people inconvenience themselves to make a big show and it's the same people that told you
Starting point is 00:22:56 that they didn't want politics when they watch football. It's the same. They're in check-in. They're in check-in. They're carrying a weight. Dude, like we were talking about it before the show. It's like the same people that said, we don't want politics with our football,
Starting point is 00:23:08 won't allow you to go and take the boat out without them rubbing their politics in their face. Like, I'm a pretty chill dude. Like, if you just saw me out, you wouldn't necessarily know about my political beliefs. I'm not out there projecting in and making it my identity. And the identity politics is such a dangerous thing right now. Sorry about that Mike.
Starting point is 00:23:28 The funniest part is, to me, it's like with Kid Rock, you see him attached to whatever it was that the Bud Light. And you already know, I don't need to read the story. I already know what this dumbass did. Now, if you're actually just doing it for the attention and for the fame, surprise some people, do the opposite. It doesn't really matter. It's not what you really think. It's attention and for the fame. Surprise some people, do the opposite. It doesn't really matter. It's not what you really think.
Starting point is 00:23:47 It's all just for the fame. So I would shock like next year if Kid Rock comes out and says, you know what, I love this shit. I love drinking, I don't care if it has a rainbow on it. Support LGBTQ whatever. I don't know why I put a fist up. I'm sorry Roy. That would be a plot twist by the way.
Starting point is 00:23:59 You're my bad. Split talk over here. And so I would be like, hey, you're gonna get more attention if you flip the script all of a sudden, but he doesn't do that because he's kid rock. And it's just one lane. I just don't understand why they lament so much in like taking over, stop, stop forcing your views down my throat. And they just go ahead and do the opposite. I genuinely am confused by it. Like because that group has been shoving their views down the throat of the American
Starting point is 00:24:26 public since 1776. Oh, can we sing Hamilton now? He stepped out. It's like, we're wrong one. What do you step out? It's like a no smoking sign on your cigarette break. I even have the poofless. Wow, that guess it. Again, seven seconds later would have been perfect, Chris.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Don Lebertard. Mike Marty Shottenheimer passed away. Still got. Why do you sound so high? I just do say that. You're very excited. I was wrong, Tony. I was not excited.
Starting point is 00:24:56 What? I was really pointing out that a Browns legend passed away. Hold on. That was unbelievable. I was not excited. What? I was really pointing out that a Browns legend has been pulled on.
Starting point is 00:25:08 That was unbelievable. I'm sure I haven't done. Hold on. Hold on. And maybe the greatest coach to never win a Super Bowl. Okay, wait a minute. Let's just everybody. Let's settle down.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Shut it. All I go down. This is the down lebatar show with Estoult Gats. We're going to bring in Jake Lazer here and Jay, thank you for staying even though Dan's not here. I appreciate that very nice to be here. You can check out his podcast Unbreakable with Jake Lazer, a mental health podcast and his book Unbreakable, How I Turned My Depression and Anxiety into Motivation and You Can, too. Jay, you've been to a few training camps so far, the jets are a huge topic here because of
Starting point is 00:25:50 Stugats. What was the most interesting part about your time with the jets? Man, my own, most interesting part was the damn show that was over there. It was like the 16th whole at the waist management classic. It was wild. Then they had like a celebrity row in the middle of that list. I've been my 31st year covering the NFL. I've never seen some shit like that before. And it's just Aaron Rodgers and just the New York that marriage just turns it into such a circus. I think so, and Hard Knocks as well.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I mean, hell even what he jobs in the other day had a hard knock shirt when he walked past. I just think the whole thing is, and look, the jets haven't had hoped for such a long time. So, you know, it is in New York and when you have something that you haven't had in a while, then everybody kind of goes really overboard. Now, they will say this, you know, if they can keep the offensive line intact, and that's the big question that everybody's talking about there. It's like, Ben, you know, it's, if our line, and they got to get Dwayne Brown back, and
Starting point is 00:26:40 if Mikhail Bechton can get it, then this is a team that, you know, they certainly have the puzzle pieces. And here's the thing I love about the Jets. Is there young guys, right, Sawaskar and her Garrett Wilson, in New York it's really hard to differentiate between being famous and being great, right? Everybody there, they're famous because they're playing New York.
Starting point is 00:27:00 And a lot of guys think being famous is the same as being great. It is not. Being famous is not the same as being great. Those stars are really humble stars. Those stars are guys that aren't going to get swept up in it and affect their play. And I saw it firsthand in New York with Stray Hen and Tiki when they did a bunch of media and they were stars, but man, they were able to shine on the field.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Some guys aren't able to do it. These guys I think are equipped to do it. I do, I'm believing in the jets. I'm buying the jets. Even if they're off on divine, isn't what they were hoping it would be. Aaron, you know, what makes him so dangerous is when the play breaks down and that second play starts. So even if the offensive line isn't terrific and Aaron starts rolling around and improvising,
Starting point is 00:27:42 he's still a very dangerous quarterback. Well, Jay, what I'm curious about with Aaron, and I want to know what kind of sense you got from him, maybe from his teammates. I know he's not trying to compare himself to Tom Brady at all times or anytime, really, but coming from one team to the other and then having that immediate success, the way Tom Brady did. How much of that do you get the sense that Aaron really wants to do because of Tom, because you saw him take less money.
Starting point is 00:28:05 You saw them sign down and cook. It seems like he wants to put everything in place to make sure he could at least match what Tom did when he changed teams. I don't know if it's comparing himself to Tom Brady because there'll be way too many rings to try and catch up to. But I think a lot of it's also like Aaron's one of those guys that kind of need something to get ticked off on. So I think it's proven green-made packers.
Starting point is 00:28:24 But I've known Aaron for a long time. I did see different Aaron Rodgers. And I think he's trying to enjoy this process more. He's been, I thought it was authentic how he's been with people there. But I just saw a different, not as edgy Aaron Rodgers when I went out there to talk to him. Do you think he ever fabricates some of the things for himself to get frustrated with? Like makes up. Yeah, like it is like he kind of creates like, yeah, they will do. They will do.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Yeah, yeah. I remember the last year, Eagles and Chiefs, and I was in there in the Chiefs locker room, a home was like asking about stuff about the Eagles coming up with the littlest things for him to get ticked off at them. And they're like, somebody said to me, it's Michael Jordan thing. He doesn't say anything. He's just trying to come up with like the littlest things for him to get ticked off at him like and they're like somebody said to me it's Michael Jordan thing he doesn't say thing he's just trying to come up with things. Did you set up a frame on protein powder behind you? Do I what? You have the frame that you have for the congratulations on the record setting viewers it looks like it's set up on protein. Yeah it's got like it is my unbreakable protein powder. Okay, you get it GSC
Starting point is 00:29:22 that's right, bam. Unbreakable and holds up photos. This is a new office. So I'm trying to get this thing. It's a little jetty right now. But why not have a little product placement? Yeah, leave it to Billy to point that out. Are you okay, by the way? Like these have been crazy in LA the past couple days. So yesterday we look so here at a crazy.
Starting point is 00:29:41 I was I'm supposed to I left for training camp 24th of July was going straight through. Unfortunately, my fiance had a foot of dog down a couple of days ago. So I had a race back from jet camp and Bureth were here this week. It's been a hard week. So I'm glad I am here with her so we can do what would happen. So yesterday, and all about noon, we lost power, then our driveway flooded. Then we're kind of stuck here and we figured out a way to manually open our gate and get out of here. And then when we get
Starting point is 00:30:09 out of here, we went somewhere and there was an earthquake. Wow. So it's like, we had to try fucked it yesterday. It's like, and so I'm like, all right, I don't know who is being a complete asshole here in LA that get to get thrown over the shit like Jonah, but someone got to go to bring in the apocalypse. Is the worst part over as far as you know? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm hoping shit.
Starting point is 00:30:30 I don't know. I'm hoping. How did you have the dog? I'm 13, a little French. I was surprised. I was surprised. I was surprised. No, it was though because it was just, no, we didn't expect that now.
Starting point is 00:30:41 She was like, great, great, great. And then last week, boom, went down hill fast. Jay, what about Aaron's old team? expect that now. She was like, great, great, great. And then last week, boom, went down hill fast. Jay, what about Aaron's old team? Are we finally going to see a Packers team that is not relevant or doesn't have a Hall of Famer at quarterback because I don't know if Jordan loves going to be it. Yeah. I don't look, I don't know what if I can believe by in a Jordan love until I see a team start game planning against them. You know, this right now free season is one
Starting point is 00:31:03 thing. And I've heard, you know, I keep hearing both sides of it, but until he, you know, on Sundays, who teams game plan and he could step up, I don't think it's, I don't think it's fair for any best to annoying him one way or the other. Well, what are his strengths in and what kind of quarterback is he? We have seen enough. I mean, strong arm teammates like him, is he probably different kind of leader than, than he's trying to embrace the leadership role, but totally different type of leader than Aaron was. Aaron, we'll make sure you know if you aren't doing your job right, he would make sure you knew you weren't doing your job right.
Starting point is 00:31:35 And you certainly didn't want it to disappoint. George, that can do that. I want your help here and formulating my opinion on the LA Rams because I don't really know what to make of this team. They won a Super Bowl two seasons ago. They saw the same quarterback. They saw the same head coach. They saw the best player arguably in all of football on the defensive side in Aaron Donald.
Starting point is 00:31:54 They went healthy, arguably have the best wide receiver in the league in Cooper Cup. Yet everyone is writing them off this here. They dealt with a lot of injuries last year. They also dealt with a lot of departures. That seems to be a pretty good course still. And yet they're not in the conversation. What do I make of the LA Rams this season? When I was out there talking to Sean McVan was like, look, we're, everyone thinks we're going to be a five win team. Great. Let him think it is like we're in a great place.
Starting point is 00:32:18 You guys, I get to coach these young guys up. You know, really coach young guys. We kind of been able to do for a long time. And we kind of want to be exactly where we are, where no one understands us, no one thinks that we're going to be anything but a five-win team. And look, Sean is in this way the internal optimist, he's like, we're gonna surprise a lot of people, and you're right, they still have some weapons where they can do it. But offensive lineman is a huge crown blessed there. They need a much better play for that offensive line. They got to figure out what their defense is. When I was there, they're defense. They have a lot
Starting point is 00:32:47 of young guys and defense who kind didn't know any better and it was a good way. They were just going after it. They brought this different energy than they had last year when it was full of vets. They're excited about that. But they definitely have the mindset of, hey, the right things we're going to think, let them think we're going to think and we're surprised everybody. What kind of shape is Matthew Stafford in because there were reports that there were reports that they were potentially talking to teams about moving Matthew Stafford this year. There's a couple of teams who called them and they kind of were like, well, would you give us?
Starting point is 00:33:21 That's where you ask. And then just never, never anywhere. Jay, I'm curious about the chargers. Like there's probably no other. I like that want to start the season because of the way it ended for them last year and that second half against Jacksonville. Apparently Herbert, neighbor has a wide open offense out there. What are you going to see that's different from them? Why are the chargers going to be actually good this year? I really like chargers. Obviously, again of a new coordinator there in Kellenmore.
Starting point is 00:33:48 So see how that can mess with the quarterback. I really like the chargers. I really do. And they actually, Brandon Staley, defensively, is fantastic, but they didn't play well in defense last year. So we didn't get that unit up to where you think a Brandon Staley defensive unit would get to
Starting point is 00:34:03 in another year with Herbert and those weapons he has over there. I think I think their team that's going to be, they could be a deep playoff team this year. Yeah, I don't think there was another team where it was more obvious that seemed like, you know, the offensive play calling was holding them back. And a lot of people, that's right. I say it was Herbert's injury. But does injury, it wasn't a factor by the time the playoffs came and they're still doing the same thing. Is injured was barely a factor in that game that should have been injury, should have played him.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Like, listen, he is a tough dude, but he's kind of everything you want in a quarterback man. He really is. And he can make throws that most of the quarterback can't make. Think about how he came into this league. I couldn't come into this league on like eight seconds notice against the cheese. By the way, you're going in now. He's, man, he's just kind of unfloppable.
Starting point is 00:34:48 He's just star, man. He is a stud. Should there be any concern for Brandon Staley? Cause two years ago, he was like the boy genius in the league that everybody wanted. Last year, people already questioning him. And this year, it seems like you got a win or you may be in trouble. No, I think he knows that too. He understands that.
Starting point is 00:35:02 You know, last year, his, you know, his name was on Chopin Block a little bit, but through, you know, looked and said, no, you need to give him one more year here. And hopefully that, you know, we can, he can correct some of those wrongs that he had. He's good coach. He's a really good coach. And he's real, like I said, he connects with every kind of player. But yeah, I think Brandon Stelly knows this is different. He's got to, he's got to produce.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Is this going to be another year where we say, man, the Niners are good, but Danny, they haven't figured out the quarterback situation. Well, they're quarterback is their quarterback, right? In their mind, they figured it out. And here's the thing, Kyle Shreddingan is so hard on quarterbacks. And so, his offense is so difficult.
Starting point is 00:35:43 So when he finds a guy that really just picks it up and picks it up with his speed, like there's one thing about getting Kyle's offense, there's another thing about getting it. I got it, but I got it a half a second late. And that's where he gets hurt. And that's where it happens to a lot of the quarterbacks in there, but he, man, I was just with them
Starting point is 00:36:02 when they're in Vegas when they were practiced against the Raiders. And they were all in on Perti. They believed him. It's interesting because he got the surgery on his elbow. And most NFL players don't get that surgery. It's more of a baseball injury. So baseball players get that surgery
Starting point is 00:36:19 because how much those pictures throw the velocity, how often they throw for games. So look at that surgery. Because Perti comes from a baseball family, they decided can they throw for games. So look at that surgery, because Bernie comes from a baseball family, they decided they got kind of that. Doctors working from that point of view, they did the surgery and
Starting point is 00:36:32 it ended up turning out well for them, but they're holding their breath there. But no, they were just talking to college ran and he's like, man, he just gets every, he's easy to get it and he gets it instantly and that's what they
Starting point is 00:36:44 need. Really quickly, Jake, will Tray Lance ever get it? season, he gets it and he gets it instantly and that's what they made. Really quickly, Jake, will Tray Lance ever get it or will he always be a step behind? Yeah, I don't think he's going to get it there. No, right. And that would be a shocking move to have that high up a draft pick, have a move on already, especially when you have the guy taking over. You see it all the time every year, you see these quarterbacks. You know, you want, it's a quarterback league quarterback, you need a quarter, you're life sucks,
Starting point is 00:37:05 we get on the quarterback. So you are willing to over scout and give guys braids when they shouldn't have because you're just hoping, man, this guy's gonna turn into Justin Herbert. You're just hoping that it'll happen. Well, check out today's podcast. I can't see so many points. On breakable with Jay Glazer, a mental health podcast
Starting point is 00:37:22 and his book, Unbreakable, How I Turned My Depression and Anxiety Into Motivation, and you can too. Thank you, Jay. Thanks, guys. On breakable with J.
