You're listening to Giraffe King's Network.
This is the Don Levittar Show with the StugatSpotCas.
Greg Cody normally, during this time of year on the sports calendar
When you're busy avoiding or eating the championship parades of
Drunks in other cities celebrating your
Hole in your stomach because Denver and Las Vegas are doing what you were so close to doing everybody's drunk and shirtless and Michael Malone is
early forts the limp
biscuit white wrapper type all of a sudden usually there is no sports to talk about.
However the barlands are 11 games over 500 and have someone hitting over 400 or exactly
400 because every time Luis arise plays a game he either gets three or five hits and I don't know how it dipped down to 390 but he fixed that immediately
I don't know how the average get well
I went down he went off like over like 20 and then he went over Seattle
I think was the official stat and then it was down to like 370s, but don't worry
He got it back all right, but all or nothing home run baseball the marlin said ah ah we're gonna hit 400 and
Be 11 games over 500. So you
have that. You have Lewis Riddick saying, this is the dolphin's year. I hear a lot of
Joe Banners out there saying, oh, there a piece away from being a piece away. But Lewis
Riddick is saying, no, it's right here. And then right after the final, you get an age
old favorite around here who can turn quickest on Pat Riley because he didn't get Bill and
he's going to miss on Lillard. and how do we say that he's washed again
a few days after the finals. That's where we are. This is a storm of wonder
and greatness here for a long time Miami-Herald columnist
to show you what this show would have been if it had been him instead of
Stugots because I'm very worried about what's happening around here
we've been trying to teach him stugots buttons mic ryan has stepped back christkoties in charge i don't
know what the step back is i step forward is that what it is i don't know what's happened here is mic
ryan been demoted or has he chosen to step back because he's not because he's not happy with how
things are going at Metal Lark?
Which is it?
Well, who would demote me?
I'm kind of running this ship over here,
but I've decided to physically step back.
I've seen all the feedback and it's hurt my feelings.
The internet is a horrible place.
And honestly, I'm not happy.
People didn't appreciate the sacrifice that I made.
So I'm physically stepping back
You don't have to worry about me talking as much put it on the pole shut up starting now
It's not the micro-ion show I've learned people tune into here dance thoughts. So I'm gonna lay out and let the end do his thing
Juju respectfully of course
Juju put it on the pole at Lebitar show is the internet a terrible place if this one doesn't come back a hundred
It's only because the internet's a terrible place
Speaking of which speaking of terrible place before we get to all that stuff
You can't cartoonishly make up Donald Trump believing that he's gonna take down all of the rules by simply not abiding by any of them.
What? What democracy do you have? If I could just fracture all your rules and there are no
consequences for me, I'll just break your whole system of governance, which is, well, the rules
applied to everybody except this one guy. He goes to Versailles, which is just a cliche. Cuban people.
He is not on your side.ias proves it it is a tourist trap
and if that didn't prove it this does
that's rude but i don't like that said that it's a tourist trap it's a very good
restaurant
it's like a historic
losing the cubans and it's more of a historical landmark it is point but they
don't lose the cubans
but it is where the the politicians go
uh... yes and i would just say that our our back row there would tell you there are a number of better Cuban
restaurants in Miami.
That is good, cheap food.
So when he leaves the establishment, saying allegedly, reportedly that he's going to take
care of food for everybody, that would have cost him about $340 and pastelitos.
But he walked out on the bill anyway.
Didn't pay for a single meal.
It is the greatest crime of his presidency.
Really? I mean, it's just such a cheap bill. You guys know this. You can get everything
funny, sell them, mortals for like $8 there. It's not bad Cuban food, but it's certainly cheap
Cuban food. It's economical is what it is. That's the word you were looking for.
Economical, it's good and it's very cheap. It's the three B's. Bueno bonito barato.
It is all of those things.
Let's go ahead and play the clip of Donald Trump here.
Are we gonna be able to hear this?
Or is this just gonna be video?
Let's see what we've got.
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Food for everyone.
Food for everyone.
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Oh, yeah!
Oh, yeah!
Uh, and it's true. A restaurant is food for everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone.
For everyone. For everyone.
For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. For everyone. You should go do that on a restaurant today. Everyone gets food, who wants it?
Do we have the capacity to send a camera crew
quickly to Versailles to buy just a brunch
for everyone in Versailles for a long time?
No, we don't have a capacity.
Why?
I was overruled.
It's like $212.
In fairness to Trump, which is the first time
I've ever said that phrase,
he didn't specifically say that he would pay for it.
He implied it, but he didn't specifically say that he would pay for it. He implied it, but he didn't specifically say.
Well, he did the stugots of getting the applause
for implying it without any of the consequences
of actually doing it, sort of, just,
and then walking through the semantics of,
well, I didn't actually say I was buying anything.
I just said that a restaurant has food for everyone.
I mean, what do you get to do?
Call them out on it and expect him to feel any shame over it.
Brett Breyer tried this with Fox News.
I don't know if you saw this because Trump once famously said
when he was candid at Trump, I hire all the best people.
And Brett Breyer rattled through the people that he's hired
and what they had to say about him.
This is courtesy of Fox News.
Teen, you said that.
I'm going to surround myself with only the best and most serious people. Well, I did do that. This time, tremendous. Look, we had the best economy. see a Fox News. supporting you. You mentioned National Security Advisor John Bolton. He's not supporting you either. You mentioned Attorney General Bill Barr. It says you shouldn't be present again. I called you
the consummate narcissist and troubled man. You recently called and Barr a gutless pig.
Your second defense secretary is not supporting you. Called you irresponsible. This week you and
your White House, called your White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, weak and ineffective and born with a very small brain.
You called your acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, a born loser.
You called your first Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Dumb as a Rock, and your first
Defense Secretary James Mattis, the world's most overrated general.
You called your White House Press Secretary K. the Canadian Militost, and multiple times you
refer to your Transportation Secretary Elaine Cha, as Mitch McConnell's China-loving wife.
So why did you hire all of them in the first place?
As I had, I had 10 to 1 that were fantastic.
We had a great economy.
We had phenomenal people in charge of the economy.
We had phenomenal people in the military.
I'm not a fan of Millie, and I'm not a fan of certain of the television people.
But I knocked out ISIS.
I defeated ISIS.
They said, Mattis, it would take three years,
and I don't think we can do it.
I did it in a period of like four weeks.
There's a lot of people who praise you for your policies.
I just said that.
That's true.
Well, I mean, you just went through a list.
But don't forget, for everyone you say,
I had ten that love us.
I can't believe from all of that, that what stood out to me is that he stayed quiet for that long.
That he just, that he took the barrage of facts in the face and then
didn't pay for anybody's meal at Versailles.
I like that ISIS.
It doesn't have anything to do with what he was asked.
Well, no, it did because Matt has said, you
know, said that it could be done in three in three years and Trump's called them the most
overrated general ever. And so he proved that he also called somebody dumb as a rock and
another dude born with a very small brain. That's a great line. It is. Yeah. Let us see, know that. The speaking of very small brains, those of you who have already leapt on the heat's failing
ass because Bradley Beale, who has a no trade clause, and decided to go to Phoenix, because
Bradley Beale controlled where Bradley Beale went.
And Bradley Beale went where, to a sun's team, where the agent with the power in Phoenix has a father's son relationship
on Father's Day.
Bradley Beale ends up, or right after Father's Day ends up with the Phoenix sons instead
of the Miami Heat.
I'm not sure I would have wanted him here at that price.
I'm not talking about the draft picks.
Are we doing this?
No one wanted Bradley Beale now
because Pat Riley failed to get him again, like enough.
It's a remarkable spin from folks.
This is the second time.
It should be a just strolls into the NBA
and drinks Mickey's milkshake
because Mickey doesn't want to pay anything.
You enjoy your rally towel?
That was a good giveaway.
Thanks, Mick. Look, I'm
not saying this after the fact. Beal is a low tier guy compared to Dame Lillard. He just
is. I mean, you talk about Jimmy too. You can't compare those two. Beal Schmale, the last
two years. You had that lined up since yesterday, didn't it? Beal Schmiel. Well, it fits. You know, you can't make, you need a guy named,
it rhymes with Schmiel to use that line.
You've been crafting, you've been crafting Beal Schmiel
fits.
You have to.
Beal Schmiel fits.
His three point percentage has gone in the toilet
the past two years.
He is 34, just for the facts.
He is 34% from three.
It's like 100 out of 109 qualifying
for 800 shots. His usage rate is huge. He can't be your best player. He's on the wrong side of 30
with a contract that's going to balloon to Jimmy Butler levels that you can't have aging. You know,
you know, you know who can't be your best player? Jimmy Butler. Yes. Because we've proven this. Jimmy
Butler needs a true wing score. And I would
love to have seen Bradley be all down here. And if this all ends with Damien Lillard, cool. But
you mean to tell me we couldn't beat Langerie Schmet. Like we couldn't beat multiple second-round
picks. This is a second time Phoenix has gotten gotten in one of these trade discussions and been
the far more aggressive team and proven that they don't mind paying luxury tax and going up to that
second tax threshold where Miami is consistently cut corners in this regard. They didn't prioritize
Bradley Beale because they did not want to pay the punitive measures to get Bradley Beale
on their books i.e. luxury tax. This is this is a real thing this is a fair criticism of the mimey heat
i think it's fair to say that the heat don't want to go into some sort of crazy
super luxury tax particularly the one we've we've sort of hypothetically talked
about with dame and bradley bill and i think the heat are
set on damian lillard and trying to acquire him
bradley bill like rex said is not damian lillard in terms of being able to be the
number one go to guy on a team.
And that's what the heat really need to do to compliment Jimmy and Bam, not another
wing score that Tyler Hero does a lot of the same things that Bradley, the bill does
if you could get him for less.
Wizards were very good with him as a number one option when he was healthy and John Wall
was healthy.
I would have loved to have seen Spowe.
He's not the same player that he was back then.
It's been a number of years since then.
He's been hurt, but he's also had no reason to care.
Thank you for stepping back so I could get all of my opinions in on that subject.
What about you, Greg Cody?
What are your opinions here?
Lillard, this is Inu and on improved and levatar show with Estugas.
Gamble on by Gravkins.
Hello, someone's listening.

I would like to examine this for a second,
because it really has been a breathtaking wonder
to watch this generation of heat and dolphin fans grow up,
witnessing the different standards as the city got taken from the dolphins by the heat because of excellence
Under the tax so of course heat fan who was used to having LeBron and being in the game for every single free agent
We'll take second place is not good enough your second place on Durant not good enough your second place on
Beel you're not good enough your second place to the nuggets, you're not good enough.
How do you get better, Riley?
That's where you put the standard.
Well, the owner, because this was not a deal that was not made.
Mike is right on this.
He'd had more assets.
Beal could have been had cheap if assets were the cost.
But in a salary-capped league, you've got to make a decision whether you're third best
player, whether you're going to pay him $60 million in a few years.
Beals contract is not cheap.
Beals contract would have made them go over the tax and would have likely taken them
out on Lillard.
I understand why heat fans would want Mickey Erison a billionaire to spend.
It's the easiest thing in the world to talk into these microphones and tell
him to spend.
I want him to spend for my entertainment too.
I want him to spend the maximum amount for my entertainment.
Miami has built your cruise ship industry, has major family, very, very wealthy.
Yes, please spend for my entertainment.
Go deep, deep into the luxury tax,
the way that Phoenix will, as I will be scared next year
when Phoenix has a bunch of injuries,
because these guys are old, and look at what just happened to
Rand, because he just got passed by Yokehitch.
Like, to Rand wasn't enough, and is now a year older,
that's a bad thing for Durant.
A year old is not a bad thing yet for Yokehitch,
and that team Denver's better than them,
and they're like, all in, we're going for offense.
We don't totally need offense.
I mean, look like they needed offense.
They needed a shooter, but that shooter ain't built.
That shooter, that shooter, that shooter, that shooter is lilyard.
Yeah, I'll I'm with you.
If it ends with lilyard, fine, but this is what?
Four times twice already with the rant.
Once actually with Jimmy Butler.
Remember, we didn't want to give up Josh Richardson
for Jimmy Butler the first time around.
And we had to wait until that off season.
So you had a even smaller window with Jimmy Butler.
Look, the Miami Heat can operate
how they want to operate and raise as many
Eastern Conference banners in the face of that.
I don't think it's an achievement
to do that under the luxury tax.
It's not the flex that you think it is.
And this is the pettance for that.
You choose to operate one way. We get to lobby, we get to
throw out the very valid criticism of, you don't want to spend into the
luxury tax. Michael Jordan's team just went from a $180 million
buy-in to he cashed out at 10 times the price. I understand why everybody
would want Mickey Erison to spend the maximum amount and to run it as a poor
business that wins for you.
But I also understand why he would say you can go bleep yourself. That's not how business works.
This also could have just been about the trade. We were talking for a second in the break.
Like Washington may have just wanted money that was going to come off the books quicker than
whatever the heat were offering. So the heat may have offered equal assets. And ultimately,
the Wizards made a decision based off of that to just
dismiss the heat's option. Yes, Bradley Beale controls ultimately where he goes. I think
you guys need to understand. Beale chose this. Of course. Beale's got the no trade clause.
He's got 100% of the power, not 98%. If he says he wants to go to Miami, he would have
been in Miami. And to go play with his agents, kid or dad or whatever, the situation is there
and also be the third option on a team
Where he doesn't have to deal with any of the pressure that would come with being the number one go to option of Miami
That doesn't right surprise me. He did say he wanted to go to Miami and it's the second consecutive time where someone said
I want to go to Miami or Phoenix and Phoenix ends up winning it
It's they they've lost out on these and they're very close
You mean to tell me like a second wing scored that
of Bradley Bill's, uh, Beale's ilk wouldn't have helped them push them over the top.
It wasn't a defense problem against them.
They played about as well defensively as you could ask for.
I think hero might have also helped them under those circumstances.
You've got to be careful in a salary cap sport. Okay.
With how many guys have these 50 and 60 million dollar contracts?
Mike, I understand why you want. They also don't want to be hard cap because if they if they go into that second threshold
They can't acquire people via sign-in trades anymore and you do have people that could help the team potentially like
Braclopes out there that would take them out of it you have been inconsistent on how you
Personally feel about the acquisition of Beal for about two and a half years
I didn't want to yeah, yeah, but look that we have a team that's obviously very close and I'm sick and tired of finishing second in multiple ways.
Both in the NBA and to teams like
Philadelphia and to teams like Phoenix. This is the Godfather, right?
This is the guy that prizes pride himself on making these deals and the fact remains they just they haven't done it yet
and if it ends with Damien Lillard who I will say once again for the record is my favorite
player in the NBA and I think it's an easy path to winning the East yet again if Damien Lillard
comes here to Miami and I hope that happens but the fact remains they've had this champion
chip window and they've struck out a lot.
Being the godfather also means making the deal at your price and if it was up to most
of heat nation,
Bradley Beal would have been on the heat two years ago,
and the result would have been trading away
Tyler Hero or Bam at a bio, right?
Everybody wants to make these moves early. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no the reason that he fans are mad right now is because it's pretty obvious that Beal could have been had without making it about BAM or heroes. So if you can
get anything that you think is an upgrade and it doesn't cost you BAM or
hero if it's Lowry's expiring deal and Duncan Robinson, of course he fans are
gonna want that deal. It doesn't hurt. That deal doesn't hurt you. Right. Just
not worry about what Butler and Beal are going to cost on the camp four years from now.
But that's my point is is Riley has consistently waited until the right moment to acquire a player where he doesn't need to give up both
Bam and Josh Richardson to go get Jimmy Butler.
How do you say that with a straight face?
He keeps missing out on Kevin Durant.
Okay.
Kevin Durant was healthy come playoff time.
She having to ran on this roster wins you a title, but like the decision to not be
you went to the finals in Kevin Durant. Yeah, okay, but I understand, but the decision to lose out on
Ishbia, uh, to Ishbia on Kevin Durant, cost you a title. It did. But what deal just went for proves that we shouldn't have given up
ban for a couple of years. Right. It's just about making the roof move at the right moment. And this might have been the right moment. It's fair to criticize and say it would have been nice to acquire
Bradley Beale as a result of a couple of other players on this team that aren't BAM and
Tyler. It's unfair to criticize the heat for not making this deal for Bradley Beale
Schmiel when it was the players decision on where to go. And it's premature to criticize
the heat. Don't do that. He wanted to kill Schmiel.
They still could get lilyard.
But they don't get lilyard.
Then what you're saying may have some legs.
We're changing the argument here.
Bradley Beal did not choose to go to Phoenix over Miami.
He was fine going to either.
Well, he's take that excuse off the table.
What's the problem when this same conversation happens
when lilyard is the one that gets traded somewhere else now what's that all been mad now it's all for
down for who for now I'm really because if he loses out to Brooklyn if he
loses out to Brooklyn on lilyard I'm just saying folks there seems to be
a consistent lack of patience from two people in this room when it comes to
the watch us them though no this is the
the whole place now look this the, this is the welcome result
Pat Riley would tell you of absolutely spoiling your fan base
and it's the cost of stealing this town from the dolphins.
Wait, slow me to the tune of bait for a luxury time.
Wait, no, this is slow me that way.
This is kind of weird to be like negative feet,
negative feet, negative feet.
They're in the Eastern Conference Final and the finals.
I'm back, I like them, this is great.
And then as soon as the season ends, they're the worst.
They never get anything out of this.
This is the play of the fan.
It's also why you've been crazy for three months
and you stepped back because your nuts from day to day,
the heat make you crazy.
It's a clinical illness where you have gotten
a viral strain in you that you expect to get every free agent.
And when you're in the finals, culture, culture, culture,
this feels so good.
Get me all the guys I want three days later.
That's the Heat Fan base.
That's you.
Yes, I wanna say we back 10 days after we lose.
That's right.
That's me, but also I'm doing it with one arm time
by my back because every other owner in the league
seems to be far more aggressive on capitalizing
on championship windows.
You want Bradley Beal with the second biggest contract in the NBA.
Yes, yes, I wanted him and I wanted him two years ago.
And Mike Ryan is a motor.
Did you not just see what they did as an eight seed?
He's emotional and irresponsible.
You wouldn't have BAM if you gave up Beal for BAM a couple years ago.
You can't just got you to the finals.
You feel like nowhere near that.
He knew that.
And he knew that. And he knew us. Without bam would be terrible.
This is a 35% in elimination game.
Don't talk to me about terrible guys.
This is what's happened over the last,
I don't know, pandemic strained years of heat basketball.
This is all because I'm looking at a very tiny video screen
that Mickey Eris and Wom pay to upgrade.
I'm just, my patience is one thing.
That's a fair criticism.
And all I had is a tiny video.
All I had to pacify myself during this entire postseason run was one rally towel. Not a shirt,
presented by a local Indigenous tribe, nothing. Not even a shirt brought to you by Carnival
Cruise Line. The shirt that shrinks before you get home. Dude. It's true! It's true!
They don't like to spend more money than they have to because they get great results
for spending just the bare minimum.
And it's fine, but it has a ceiling.
Like Colin Cowherd said, culture has a ceiling and sometimes you just need dudes.
You didn't just do that.
If you're gonna step back, go step back in the penalty box.
Just a general principle for not even bringing your own material,
quoting Colin Cowherd's analysis on the Miami.
I gave him credit.
What's the effect?
The offense is you can't par it, Colin Cowherd.
Well, I think when you're stepping back,
I think you're a puppet for the heat regime.
Okay, I think you're a puppet for Mickey Errorist.
It's fine, we'll come back and discuss it
after you've returned from the penalty box.
What? There, well I earned my two minutes here. That's fine, I said. Get out of here, you're a puppet for Mickey Error's fine. We'll come back and discuss it after you've returned from the penalty box That's fine there. Oh, well, I earned my two minutes there. I said I'd get out of here you're
spousing just proper get your fine
That's the thing when you get
Okay, when you get sent to the penalty box and then you feel like you haven't done anything
So you like punch someone in the pages like that
That's definitely right
And this is what's happening now
Throughout the heat fan base that is irrational.
I understand why he comes about, I'm a propagandist.
I get why he thinks somehow he's hearing me defend
them being cheap like Versailles,
economical about how the salary cap works.
But I will tell you that this bipolar assholery
of I
Don't believe the pat Riley succeed because Kyle Lowry's not good enough
And we got close and got close and then game seven game swings back and forth in Boston and oh
I'm crushed the last three years of make it better desperately and emotionally trade bam trade everybody and then
You're soaring in a hot air balloon the last two months of yeah
Culture yeah
I'm sorry. Oh, I'm sorry and then three days later get me Lillard and Bill or you're an asshole
Get me billard and Lillard you're an asshole everybody spend I just made him billard and Lill
I'm because my very chill of the deal. Sh meal.
Lail smell indeed.
Lillard, smell,
lard.
Get Zion and here, I'm going to go one step further.
You're a cheap asshole, Erison,
unless you get Yokech.
Next game, Yokech in a heat uniform for Yurtsavin.
Get him for Yurtsavin and I'm the shill.
If anyone knows how to shill for a local franchise,
maybe Mike Ryan.
Ouch.
This is a new and unimproved,

a century, and you have been written about local sports in this market as a columnist for almost
50 years. I believe, even though I've accused you before of being a homer and having some
obvious takes, that the most obvious take in the history of sports arguments is, hey, owner
spend the most, right? You're a billionaire. Spend more. Spend the most. And I too would
like the Miami heat to behave like they are the warriors.
Just keep spilling money all over the place.
I just prefer them to not do it emotionally.
To not do it every time you lose a game seven at home because now you have to trade BAM
because I don't want to play with defense anymore.
And all that culture stuff I was talking about for six weeks, never mind about that. Just get me better, better players spend, go way over the tax.
I don't know how it makes me a propagandist to say, yes, of course, I would love for ownership
of the Miami Heat to do it that way. But they never have. And they're not going to. And calling
for it is just the easiest thing in the world. And I trust if they don't that they're trying.
I do. We, does anyone sit here think that the heat
are not going after these guys?
Like they're just like, you know what, screw it,
we'll get the next one.
But trying's not good enough, that's the standard thing.
It is for me though.
I'm good with it.
It's not, it's not for the heat fan base,
it's not for the people raised on Pat Riley
and what it is that he's done in this market,
that the nicks have been trying to get back to
for 25 years since he left.
Right, Mike Ryan represents the frantic wing of the heat fandom.
He does and and with due respect to Mike and I admire his passion.
Passion in a sports fan is a great thing, but you also have to have a little
reason where you stand back and you say, look, if your team has made three
Eastern Conference Finals in four years and two Finals and you are
angry to the point of raising your voice and trembling with anger you are
clinically certifiably delusional about expectations for your team. The heat in
this four-year span has done better than all but a couple of other teams in the
NBA. If that's not good enough, you know what?
Find another city, find another team.
Did you just love it or leave it me?
And it, they've been, they've been very good.
They've been very good and they've been a piece short
and they've proven they're not willing to go that extra mile
to acquire the piece that can put them over the hill.
Like I, look guys, yeah, you give up, bam,
but I would have loved to have seen this alternate universe
where they've had Biel closer to his prime.
I would have loved to have seen what this would have looked like
if they went all in on Kevin Durant
and didn't get outdone by a Johnny come lately owner
who's now done this twice in the last six months.
And not gotten as far, he got the players
but hasn't gotten as far as the heat did
and when you use the phrasing of put them over the hill, you do realize,
you do realize and evidently don't fear that if you make the emotional move to get
Biel, you're now looking in four years or three years. And maybe it's always win now,
win now, win now. And to hell with logic and just soak it in emotional desperation.
But Bill and Butler having bodies breakdown in three years with multiple 50 plus million
dollar contracts leaves the heat in a world of shit in three years.
Mike, where they're not, they're dragging around what they did last year with Lowry's
contract.
You don't think they've been in a world of shit before?
Did you not see the waiters Johnson Whiteside contracts?
They've dug themselves out of it.
I want the combination of culture and go in the extra mile
and doing whatever you can to compete
with the big dogs in the NBA that have won titles
by being aggressive.
Yeah, I want to be the warriors.
I want to spend as much money as the warriors.
And the warriors won the title last year
and they found a way to rebuild
After losing a piece like Kevin Durant. This is a great front office
They've been fantastic. Have they spoiled me? Yes, and if they're saddled with a bad contract like Jimmy Butler and Bradley
Beal four years down the line and they have two titles to boot fine so be it. They'll dig themselves out
They always have what they haven't done. All right is been the most aggressive
Shark in the tank, but you say that and for that to be the expectation. Yes, of course
We should we can get rid of waiters and white side every time we screw that up because it's easy guys
It's not that easy. They amnestyd
Mike Miller during LeBron's
Window, okay, they amnestyed so they could avoid that tax apron.
This is a very valid criticism.
It's fair and it's the cost of doing business.
If you want to be elite at avoiding the luxury tax,
we'll give you your flowers for doing that
as you do your deadline deals,
but we're also gonna mention,
when you lose out on guys like Bradley Beale,
in your title window,
when you lose out on Kevin Durant twice,
when you make me wait six months for Jimmy Butler,
we're gonna mention that.
That's the deal.
Okay, so when they get Lillard, if they do,
you're gonna still be crying that they didn't get Beale?
No, if they get Lillard, I'm good.
Okay, so-
What is, but, okay.
You want them to get every-
I want them to finally cast him on one to finally catch and make every grade they can. Yes. And they and they
and they've failed. So they failed a lot at recently. But when they've had a good team.
But to be clear, that is the standard. Get everyone Mike wants. No, the standard is what
Pat Riley said. The standard is, which is winning a championship guys. How is finishing
second two out of the last four years felt? You think they're
satisfied? Pretty fun. Yep. I mean it's only fun because we be Boston. I would say to you
that most of the heat building is satisfied with how amazing and unprecedented that run just
was and Pat Riley isn't that it's winning in misery for him that he doesn't mind that
he has placed the standard in a place that makes you unreasonable.
He wouldn't shrink from any of this.
He would like Mickey Erison to spend well over the tax, but he's running Mickey Erison's
business for him.
And he works for Mickey Erison.
That's an employee.
He doesn't even have an ownership stake anymore.
He sold that.
He's an employee of Mickey Erison's and it ain't his money.
He can't go over the tax by himself.
That's like Ericin decisions.
It seems like a successful business.
If Michael Jordan can mismanage it to the tune of exponentially recouping his investment.
It's ten times.
Yeah, it seems like a pretty solid business.
Attendance is good.
We as fans are doing our part.
I just go out there and capitalize on the window.
Did you not see Jimmy Butler get old in the middle of a Boston series?
I just love that the heat of the finals twice in the last four years,
Eastern Conference Finals three times in the last four years.
And we're talking about them like the Loria era, Marlins.
It's ridiculous.
And the fact that we don't trust,
the fact that we don't trust that they are in all these meetings,
trying to get these guys and they do have a line.
There's a line. We're not going to go above this.
We're not going to pay.
We're going to give up this person.
I want a team that we want to go after.
We want to go after all the guys, but we have our line.
We're not just going to do whatever give everything they want.
You got to have your line.
Chris, Mike Miller saying goodbye to Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant, like three God damn times,
Jimmy Butler, Kyrie Irving this past season.
They really wanted Kyrie Irving here.
That would have been the secret sauce to get them
like what all of them guys to the final guys.
They just made it to the the NBA finals
with Max Truce and their highest drafted player
on the roster was Cody Zeller.
Like don't don't tell me.
Team Tyler Tylerero injured.
Don't dismiss.
You keep telling me about culture.
And don't you want to see what culture can do
with talents like Kyrie,
with talents like Bradley Beale.
Don't you want to see how this turns out?
I imagine they've gone after all these guys.
And I trust their judgment on this isn't right for us.
More than I judge ours.
But they do think it's right for them.
And they lose.
It's not like they decided, okay,
we want Bradley Beale,
but not as much as Phoenix,
Phoenix just wanted him more.
And,
and Beale wanted Phoenix more.
Right.
No, stop saying that.
No, it was his choice.
He chooses, Mike.
Yeah, he chooses and he gave two teams.
And we were on that list.
How do we know Andy Ellisburg wasn't just like,
I want no part of that contract.
Please don't give me Bradley Beale.
That is a terrible contract.
If it ends with Damien Lillard, I'm cool.
I don't want to sound manic anymore.
This is just what it is.
And they have a championship window.
And I don't like losing an NBA finals.
I'm pretty sure Pat Riley doesn't like it either.
So whatever. I'm with Mike. It's gonna feel disappointing if we don't
get Lillard. Just because we've seen all these headlines and it's fun. I'm with Mike.
Like I'm.
Choms says Lillard's not in play. Just like B.O. a year ago wasn't in play and that changed
after he got his Super Max and ended up having a year of frustration. Lillard's very close
to the breaking point. But as of this morning, you're seeing a lot more
of the newsbreakers, including Chris Haynes,
who's typically the Lillard guy, sort of intimating,
well, Lillard really doesn't want to be in Portland
for a rebuild.
And you're seeing on ESPN, it's, hey,
should they keep the third overall pick
or should they shop Damian Lillard
or should they shop the pick?
It's starting to get to the point
where the info is at least hedging on that side of, of hate this guy might not want to be around for a rebuild again
well little clearly is interested in my amy and and look if they get little
erred have a parade down here have a have a championship parade he is exactly who they
need in a way that bill wasn't an isn't i mean let's wait until they fail on little
erred or or I don't know if
fail would be the right word if Lillard simply decides to stay but if they don't
get Lillard then this conversation maybe is legit and even then I still say when
your team has had a four-year run of two finals and three EFC's EFC finals you
can't complain too much about that.
And if you do, that's on you, that's not on your team.
Hain Schmain's, by the way, on that guy.
To Propagandist.
You put me in a position where I have to talk a lot.
No, no, you're not in that position.
Please stop talking for a little bit.
Greg Cody.
A Propagandist, because I don't agree with you.
Greg, no, he's got me and you as Propagandist
because we are not. Because we're trying to be reasonable
We are not embracing the might gets all the players
He's ever wanted for as cheap as possible so Mike always gets to win so that Mike can always have the last world
Well, so it's not embracing it the heat I
Expect
Something to happen before the draft for whatever the reasons are that the draft and people
making moves all over the place and I would say to you, Sir Report, I would say to you
that I would not also ignore. Why isn't Zion Williamson in the mix? If the, if people are
talking about we trust Ingram more, I'd rather trade for Ingram. Zion's available evidently for
cheap. Yeah. Why are we just limiting it? As soon as Lillard gets swung and missed on, it'll just
move right over to Zion. Well, because the NBA doesn't negotiate with terrorists. And right now,
there is a porn star very clearly trying to force Zion's way to mind less on less Zion is the one behind
at the entire time and he's telling her hey we got to make a big deal out of this because
just in case I'm trying to get out of New Orleans. You want to go to Miami? I mean come on baby,
what's up? I don't know why you're talking to her that way. I was talking to you that way.
I don't think that that's the relationship they have Greg Codyody all your thoughts on zion williamsons porn star mess
