You're listening to Giraffe Kings Network.
Was so much to discuss on today's show
that we omitted a discussion on
former fast-switch energy drink player of the week,
Kaderius Tony, and what he did on Instagram live.
So you guys, are you familiar with what Cadarius Tony did?
No, I'm not.
So thank you for playing this game.
I appreciate it.
Cadarius Tony.
He doesn't even have to act.
He really doesn't know.
No, he was an old harrier.
That's as honest as I've ever been.
He says you're not good on Monday.
Appreciate your Monday effort today.
So this is going to be great for you
and then those in the audience that aren't familiar.
So Cadarius Tony was a scratch for the game
against the Baltimore Ravens that put the Kansas City
Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
Cadarius Tony has been a walking meme,
basically his entire career.
At one point costing the Chiefs a game,
you could actually say twice,
he's cost the team a game
with his week one performance against the Lions,
and then against the Bills lining up offside
that took away an all-time woven away from Travis Kelsey.
So he had a child this week, so he had a personal...
A child?
He had a personal matter to attend to but he
really took offense to the injury designation that would help explain his
absence for this weekend's game so he took to Instagram live and he told those
that were tuning in this.
Man that shit can't, I'm not hurt, I'm not hurt. None of that say that suck my
Go from hip to ankle to this to that. Well, what up? Well, I'm in a body cat right now. I this one
I'm gonna run out of tell you information that ain't shit. Go tell them what RIP going on with this. I want to play with it.
I don't know.
So Kaderios, Tony, who people have poked fun at for not being quick enough to see what's
going on in game situations.
He I think this is an admission of him not knowing
what the Chiefs were actually trying to do
by putting an injury designation next to him.
It sounds like what they were trying to do
is not embarrass him by putting a DNP next to him
and giving him the outs of injured and having baby.
They're trying to protect him
and then he won't let them protect him.
And at this point, if I were the Chiefs,
I'd be like, goodbye, Kaderious.
Like, you know.
You don't want to see him.
It seems like a Super Bowl scratch.
Yeah.
Which is a shame.
A healthy Super Bowl.
Because I don't win that Super Bowl last year
without Kaderious Tony.
He won that.
The fast switch impact in that game.
But think how quickly that happened.
He won them the Super Bowl last year.
He helped.
He certainly was a big piece of it.
Mike, he made a huge play.
Yeah, huge punt of return. But Kaderios Tony has been a net negative and they've
been better when he's not out there. The wide receiver group has started to come
online a little bit and you know there's an uptick in performance when Kaderios
Tony is not out there and believe me in college I was one of the bigger
supporters of Kaderios Tony but But this season's been disastrous,
and he is lacking in so much awareness
that he's not even taking a good TaylorMade excuse
that the Chiefs are putting right out there for him.
Can you get me, please?
Was it the stat line that got sponsored by Fast Twitch Energy?
Was it that stat line from the Detroit game earlier this year?
Yeah, we go on.
Because Mike Ryan, you didn't just
like him in college when he went he was underutilized with the Giants and you thought that going from
the Giants to Eric Biennemy and the Chief's offense that Kaderious Tony would be an unstoppable
physical force because he's so fast that you sponsored him the night before a game that he played.
And I believe you're gonna give us the stat line now
and I'm going to add things to it
that aren't in the stat line.
Well, the box score doesn't tell the story
because if you were to look at the box score,
you'd see one catch for one yard.
Trust me, it was way worse than that.
There were two drops.
That's not the story. There were two drops and nowhere in that
result of an interceptions. One of them a pick six. One of them was one of the
drops ended up in points for the other team. Immediately, I believe we lost the
fast twitch energy sponsorship right after giving it away for the first
time to Kaderius Tony before that game. That's one way to spin it. Yeah. Another way it does spin it
is Kaderious Tony retired as the only fast-switch energy drink player. Didn't
you have a carry in that game too for no yards or negative? Negative one. That's
not the story. Zero. Well, let me see if you had any pun returns,
because that would mean, yeah, that would mean,
yep, zero all-purpose yards.
Two official touches, but again, two touches
went off his hands into the hands of the other team.
It's one of the most creative ways we've lost to sponsor,
if you have to admit.
Yes.
No, this way is fine.
Picking a player for a player for a bench
market is so bad. They decide let's just pull the spend entirely market wide.
By the way, there aren't any other shows that have fast, which energy drink players
of the week. They decided it was a terrible idea. Just based off of this one
show's execution ruined it for everyone. They got out of marketing. They didn't get out of the energy business.
Did they stop dispensing energy?
They had to rebrand the whole thing.
They rebranded as Panera Charged Lemonade, actually.
Really weird.
Not sure what's going on with their marketing company over there.
