You're listening to Giraffe King's Network.
Do you want to see what the world is really like?
Yes.
Four things is deliciously funny and spectacularly entertaining.
A woman planting her coast of freedom at a lot more.
It's non-stop bonkers brilliance.
I love that.
Four things.
It's a like theaters bonkers brilliance. I love that. Poor things. In some like theaters, December 15th.
Welcome to the big suite!
Presented by DraftKings.
Why are you listening to this show?
The podcast that seems very similar to the other Dan Levitard podcast.
I'm sorry, I'm not gonna apologize for that.
In fact, the only difference seems to be this imaging.
I have been tempted in restaurants just walking past tables to grab somebody's fries
that if they're just there.
That hasn't happened to you guys.
I've done it.
And now, here's the marching man to nowhere, that face and the habitual liar.
Christian Wilkins of the Dolphins is going to be around here shortly, and I think Ron
McGill as well to do yet more selling of the dolphins is going to be around here shortly. And I think Ron McGill, as well, to do yet more selling of the book.
I do want to think of an idea, though,
to try and sell fins at 50 in a way that gives it a resurgence for Greg Cody,
because he seems really disgusted that he's calling this his first book
when it's not his first book.
And it's not surprising in all that he would call it his first book.
And the only reason that he would do that is because the other one didn't get the promotion that he wanted
because he thinks he should be promoted at all times by everybody.
Well, I think that's what he meant. This is the first book that's actually being promoted.
Yeah, it's a first proper book.
It's how we pay you for all those back in my days. You have not done.
Thank you. Let's get to this West Welker video.
The West Welker video was interesting because when you think of West Welkers, you've got
the backstory for those of you who do not know.
The dolphins had West Welker, and in his dolphin career, he had one touchdown.
He was not a special receiver.
In fact, was so not special that he told us the story of one time somebody just
like was actaumas came out of a place and gave him car keys thinking he was the valet.
He told us the story that a neighbor said upon looking him up and down, they said, what
do you do for a living?
And Wes Welker said, I'm a football player.
And the response that Wes Welker got is no wonder we are one in fifteen.
So Wes Welker made his way to New England
and became a Hall of Famer,
or put up Hall of Fame type numbers
if he's not a Hall of Famer.
Bellicech did one of those things
where they played against the dolphins, he liked Welker,
he went and got Welker.
That's when we thought Bellicech was a genius,
he wasn't, he had Tom Brady.
Okay, and that certainly helped
and that made Wes Welker, you know,
that turned into Edelman, that turned into Brady and Belichick thinking they could do it
with anybody. But when they did it best, was when they had Randy Moss. When they did it
best, and I remember this one specifically, you probably do too, Greg, the undefeated
Patriots that were totally overwhelming, better than any of the teams you're watching
playing football today, including San Francisco, undefeated and deserved it. I remember specifically them coming into town, the Patriots of Tom Brady and Randy
Moss, Tom Brady threw deep into obvious double coverage and Randy Moss just jumped over
to Dolphins and had a touchdown 70 yards down the field. Go look at the difference in Tom
Brady's numbers when he had Randy Moss and when he didn't have Randy Moss, it's staggering
the difference because Randy Moss,
by many accounts, is the greatest receiver ever.
He had 50 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
I mean, a lot of people...
By far his best year.
He is certainly the best deep threat
in the history of the sport,
but Wes Welker is here to tell you,
with all of those his bonafights.
Like I played with Tom Brady, I was with Bella Check,
I was with Randy Moss, I know what I'm talking about here. Tyreek Hill is better
than Randy Moss because he's more diverse as a route runner than Randy Moss.
I mean, and I all do respect Randy. You know, I love Randy and Randy is probably the best
deep-all receiver, you know, ever in the game. But Rican run it up.
Rican run it a whole wrap tree.
He can run, choice routes.
He can run, look, he can take the top off.
He can, his ball skills, the coming in and out of breaks,
name around you, don't like him on.
I just can't think of one.
And to me that
that's that's what kind of separates him in that regard and just his mindset
and the way he approaches every single day and every single game. You know it's
it's it's it's very very impressive and he's got the mentality along with all
those things which is most important important part. That's probably where he separates himself the most.
I do not want to be a prisoner of the moment.
I saw Randy Moss.
I think Randall Cunningham was out of the league and became MVP because he had Randy Moss.
Like this is just done for Tuah.
Something like that was just done for Tuah.
Tuah was not a great quarterback and suddenly he is a great quarterback.
Yeah, Tyree Kales played with two and he's played with Patrick Mahomes.
Those are very good quarterbacks.
I mean, Randy Moss did it with Randall Cunningham as you mentioned, Brad Johnson,
Jeff George, dot Bellman, anybody with every one.
Yeah, outside of maybe a slow spell and when he was with the Oakland
Raiders, he put up numbers with anybody.
And by the way, the chiefs right now without Tyreek,
I know they were with Adam last year and did better.
The offense is pretty ordinary this year,
the chiefs offense.
They want a Super Bowl.
They want a Super Bowl.
I'm talking about the music right now.
The offense last time I look was 18th or 20th
in the league in scoring, that's middling.
Stupid Patrick Mahomes is not putting up MVP numbers this year.
This is the first time in his career that the defense is better than the offense.
Yes, it's good.
I don't actually think it's confusing.
These things deteriorate over time.
It doesn't happen from one season to the next.
It takes a minute.
So the weakening of the offense started last year and they won the Super Bowl anyway.
And this year the defense is better than that.
And they look more questionable to win the Super Bowl because they simply, man,
they they lost a game because they couldn't catch one of those deep balls.
And in the game, we just watched of Miami because I thought this part was interesting.
You have in Tampa.
And listen to what I'm saying here because I just heard Andrew Hawkins. Tomahawk totally found its footing yesterday and had the best
day I've seen them have or heard them have. And Andrew Hawkins was talking about my Geven's has to be
considered the best receiver of this time is what he was saying because it's 10 straight years of
1000 yard seasons and he's saying he's going to keep doing that and I'm thinking about it for a second
I'm like I can't be the best receiver of this time. Tyree kill came here because he doesn't want to be Mike Evans anymore.
He wants to be the guy guy who makes everyone else. doesn't want to be Patrick my homes is shadow he wants to be the reason and what i saw that was interesting
yesterday is
somebody on twitter put up
that they couldn't explain to me how bad or show up throw that was that to what
made on one of tyrie kills long ballsree Kills' response was bad take.
I ran the wrong route.
When Tyree Kills leaves Kansas City,
and he tells you, it wasn't just about money,
that he believes in the things here,
Tyree Kills has supported his quarterback from day one
in a way that makes their success shared
and makes their bond real because Tyree Kill doesn't
have to do that.
The tweet was celebrating, look at how amazing Tyree Kill is because of how bad a throw
this is.
And Tyree Kill is going out of his way to say, that's my fault, my quarterback threw it
in the right spot.
In the right spot, I ran to the wrong spot.
But to your point, the situation you I ran to the wrong spot but to your point this
Situation you're right then is very different if he's doing this and he did with Patrick Mahomes
No one is talking about to re kill as the MVP and right now they're talking about to re kill as MVP
Everyone would assign the credit to Patrick Mahomes some to Hill right now they're giving it all to to re kill
But frame it frame it the way I'm telling. I don't believe there's anyone listening to this
who would try to make the argument
that Mike Evans is the best receiver of the last 10 years,
even though it's an argument that can be made.
And Tyree Kill was tired of that in Kansas City, Stugat.
Mostard has 16 touchdowns that led to lead
before McCaffrey played on Sunday.
Yeah.
He's got 16 touchdowns as a product of that offense
he's not the special person in that offense
and and and part of the reason he has sixteen touchdowns is that the running game
benefits so greatly from the deep threat that tyree killed provides and and when i
when i write that tyree kills should be the frontrunner in the mvp race
part of
it is that he has elevated Tuah to the point where Tuah is right ahead of him in the latest
MVP betting odds I've seen.
This is what's fascinating to me about how we do this to both Mike Evans and Tyree kill.
Winning is the biggest thing and then we give the quarter back the biggest thing.
You win, we'll give you the credit,
even if you're T-bow, we will give you the credit
as being a great quarterback,
but we're gonna find one way to give the winner
the credit or the quarterback the credit.
It's why it's not the wide receivers and the commercials.
It's the quarterbacks and the commercials and the Calcys.
Yeah, there is an AP, NFL offensive player of the year award,
in which kind of rationalize one goes one guy, the
other goes to the other guy, for what it's worth Tyree Kill is presently the betting
favorite on AP NFL offensive player of the year.
Right, but the AP has awarded 66 MVP awards.
Zero have gone to a wide receiver, Jerry Rice never won, Randy Moss never won.
That has to stop if Tyree Kill is the first ever
with a 2,000 yard season and is doing what he's doing
for a sueral content.
Presently for the MVP, Brock Pertie is now leading.
The last four years, the offensive player of the year
has gone to position players each year.
So in 2019, it was Michael Thomas,
2020 Derek Henry, 2021 Cooper Cup,
and 2022 Justin Jefferson,
it reasons to stand Tyree Kill will win that season.
It's almost understood that MVP quarterback ward offense player of the year.
We reward the guys that we don't make MVP.
Right.
The offensive player of the year is a consolation prize because you know that
a quarterback is going to win the big prize.
So you give the consolation to the Tyree kills and that has to change.
Where's Mike McDaniel and the MVP odds? to the tyrie kills and and and that that has to change where's mike mcdani on the mvp odds
uh... put it on the poll jiu jiu uh... where's mike mcdani on the mvp
uh... yes or no and uh... it reasons to stand has to become a t-shirt because
jermy prides himself on being an m m winning broadcaster who speaks correctly
and it reasons to stand is not how you meant to say that
direct
and m m winning broadcats and jermy stand is not how you meant to say that. You're right. And Emmy winning broadcast.
I am.
Jare Emmy.
Let me tash.
The amazing part about what we're talking about here,
I think, is that Tyree Kill came here
to be the reason for winning an offense, and he succeeded.
Like he picked this over New York.
Where New York was offering him, I want to talk about that for a second.
New York offered him six million more dollars, six million more taxes.
That's correct.
Taxes is part of it, but he makes the argument that it wasn't just taxes.
I learned the other day, are you, you know, who is the team that hasn't made the playoffs in the NFL for the longest time?
The Jets. Yeah, it's 12 years. It's 12 years without making the playoffs. I think second place is like Houston and it's seven years. Like it's a stretch of really. That's gonna end. It's really terrible.
And and it's not they're still looking for a wide receiver.
It's not they're still looking for a wide receiver
But when you talk about the reasons for winnings to God So I was trying to say this yesterday. I now understand with McCaffrey and what he's doing in San Francisco
I didn't understand it at the time why the dolphins were trying to get in on Jonathan Taylor and a bunch of other running backs
Because if most are can get to 16 right if most are can get to 16 touchdowns
Do you turn Jonathan Taylor into McCaffrey by putting
him in this off line?
Well, you also follow the San Francisco formula, which Mike McDaniel is very familiar with,
which is, you know, load up on talent if you have a reasonable contract at the quarterback
position.
Now that they've jettisoned Jimmy Garoppolo, they've doubled down on that in San Francisco.
Also, let's not disrespect gable Wilson over new york is a pretty
special wide receiver
seared Wilson that's a lot of well said i said don't respect don't disrespect
the man you think it gave davis he's up north of new york there's terrible
no i sometimes you know he's not terrible yeah he's confusing gave Davis i
mean he is i uh.... I look in a mirror here.
It brings me great joy to see you being the one screwing him today.
I just a little heat off you.
I just a little.
I mean, I just just a little.

Dangerous game.
This is a dangerous game.
I don't want to play this game.
No, man, I can do such a great.
Oh, I don't want to play this game.
He's like, man, I can talk to him.
This is who we're going to trust.
Let's let him mean do it.
I think I still got.
I think you could do it, Chris,
because you did a great Charles Barkley.
You're one for one there.
Did no one just hear the segment we just did with the mean?
We cannot be taking judgment.
Judgment is not the best.

And careful man, we got it like we cannot do this. It's too close to the line
This is where the line is something legitimately funny can't be funny because we're scared our ginger's gonna do something racist by accident
Carry the hell on Dan
Dan the line is where we feel alive though our ginger is going to do something racist by accident. Carry the hell on, Dan. Rachel.
Dan, the line is where we feel alive, though.
This is the Dalé Batar show with this two guts.
This giant jolly man is at the center of the Miami Dolphins defense. He's a menace.
Yeah, but he's also jolly.
It's a little confusing.
Like I'd want him to chase me to go and celebrate a party
But I wouldn't want him to chase me if we were you know
I didn't want to be harmed and
So thank you Christian Wilkins for being on with us. Just explain to me though. Is there anyone in your locker room having more fun than you are?
First of all, thanks for having me. I appreciate being on the show
Definitely, you know, you watch the show for First of all, thanks for having me. I appreciate being on the show. Definitely watch the show for a while.
So thanks for having me on.
But yeah, I guess not.
I really enjoy my job.
I really love what I do.
I'm happy to be doing what I love.
So I always bring a kid spirit and a fun spirit
playing this game because it definitely
brings me a lot of joy.
So I have a lot of fun with it.
So I'm always going to have a good time. You are also though the best talker on the team, correct?
Not just not just in interview settings, but in terms of on the field, correct? You're the...
Everyone would concede. Christian is the best track talker we have.
I was going to say, some would say, most would say, that's probably the case.
But yeah, I'm just doing me out there most of the time,
like I said, having a good time, having a fun time,
and the game I always played my whole life.
So yeah, most probably would say,
I can trash talk about it.
Who would be second?
Who would object to you being nominated
as the best trash talker?
That's a good question.
I really like,
Jaylen's got some stuff, especially when he gets going,
when he gets into it,
Jaylen Ramsey.
But I think I'll probably take the top spot, but we could both get cooking together
a little bit and ruffle some feathers, so.
Are you talking trash to everyone or are you waiting to spot a weakness in someone that
you're playing against and then start talking trash to them?
And it's trash talk things and art.
I'm going, I'm always turned up on game day going all day
Every day, but then when there's something specific I can potentially get on or really, you know dive into a little bit
I mean, that's when it might show up a little bit more, but yeah, I'm just nonstop out there pretty much
All right, we're gonna give you here's some video from that popular Kelsey podcast here, and I want you
I want you to break it. I want you to break this down with us
And I want you to break it. I want you to break this down with us.
It's about a good insult where it's like you can't even like get mad at it.
It's just great.
You got to tell the one.
Which one?
I got a punch.
You got to tell the Miami joint practice one.
Dude Wilkins was talking trash just in the practice.
So he was talking trash and then I started yapping at him,
which pretty big party file by me because I want to name what a practice. So he was talking trash and then I started yapping at him which pretty big party file
about me because I was able to practice. You were practicing, yeah. So I'm over here yelling and all
of a sudden I know where Jayla Phillips says, shut up, eyebrows, you ain't even practicing. And I was like,
dude, just call me eyebrows. Like I can't even come back from that.
like I can't even come back from that. I think.
And boy got to pick as eyebrows, man.
Like that from American pie.
I mean, it's, you know, there ain't too many dudes
got eyebrows like this.
What do you have for us there, Christian?
No, no, that's, I mean, it's pretty,
everything he said is pretty spot on.
You know, it was a joint practice.
It was like later on in camp.
So the energy was kind of low and, you know, whatever.
So I just got going. I was just like, let's go you know I just kind of set the tone
that was talking trash and kind of got everybody fired up on both sides. The Eagle side,
our side and just kind of got everybody going and like Jason said he wasn't even practicing
he was just kind of off to the side you know just just over there but he was like getting
into it because he saw me kind of going so you, you know, he's the leader of their team. So he's
like, you know, like, you know, getting his old line fired up and everything. But yeah.
And so like the next play got kind of chippy. And like, I guess Jaylin just looked over
at him and like, he didn't know who he was. Jaylin was young at the time. He knows I
got you. There's a no who Jason Kelsey is. And he's just like me stop talking eyebrows like you know you practice it's just it's like that but it was it was real funny the energy at practice was great
you know and that's why I said like you know kind of the art of trash talking you know I kind of
got everybody fired up get honoured got everybody going and that's what I honestly wanted just to
bring that intensity to practice and kind of you know set the tone for my teammates. I don't think
that us watching the game can possibly understand just watching who's
a good center and who's not a good center.
So you tell us Jason Kelsey in terms of people that you've played against, like what does
the top of that list look like where you're impressed by someone's strength and someone's
size and mobility and you're like, all right, I got my hands full today.
This one's going to be a little harder than most.
Yeah, Jason's one of them just because he's a vet.
He's savvy, you know, he just, you know,
knows where his help is, everything.
You know, this one good runs around,
and there's some underrated ones too as well.
Like, I don't really like Ted Karris,
he was a former team in a mine,
but he's just stronger than most centers.
And he's got that grit too.
He's got that nastyness to him, which is, which is rare a lot of time for a lot of centers or offensive linemen.
He's one of them.
Yeah, there's a few guys around.
Obviously, Ryan Kelly, he's, he's, he's pretty good as well.
But yeah, this, this is just a couple of them when I think about it, that come to mind.
Is anyone ever stronger than you?
I mean, come on.
I mean, you know, I'm not the strongest man in the world, but I can.
No, but I don't I don't mean anyone in the world.
I just mean to you ever feel a sense of him.
Do you feel a center strength that are like okay? This okay. This guy is strong.
Is I am this no absolutely this some good players in his lead is some good strong players in his league
You just got to find other ways to get your job done effectively if they're a little stronger than you if they got you know
Some silver back qualities to them. So yeah
Christian, uh, I want to know what is your official review of the Tyreek Hill lead roller coaster touchdown celebration?
So I didn't know that was planned that was actually pretty elite if I if I do say something myself like the you know
The officers been doing a great job putting up some points
And then also just having some swag and having some fun, you know when they do score and you know
I'm glad you know I get a front row seat to it a lot of time
And I try to join in as much as I can because it's a lot of fun and you know, when they do score and, you know, I'm glad, you know, I get a front row seat to it a lot of time and I try to join in as much as I can because it's a lot of fun and you know,
offensive so explosive, but that was top tier right there. I didn't know that I was playing. They did it and I was like
just as surprised as everyone. I thought those well executed well done and you know, shot out to Rob Hunt. I didn't realize
he was the like, you know, you know, when the seat belt like that was a nice touch. I didn't realize that
was a later one, that I was really cool
Exactly. They did a good job there. The details were elite and the execution was elite has Fangeo ever left
Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I'm still waiting I'm still waiting to you know, maybe if he's all way, he'll give like a smirk like he's kind of got his like
His old man humor, but he's he's cool he's he I love
Fandio but yeah he's definitely got like his ways and his jokes and kind of like his dad jokes so
like his dad moments and he's just like him like you know kind of real subtle he's not as as like
you know animated as me per se but he's got he's got his moments. This is not Greg please stop drinking
during the interview. We hear we hear you drinking. It's just not something you did not realize
that in front of a microphone and picks up what you're doing. Christian I'm
putting you in a bad spot here and on the front end this is not got your
journalism it's just me asking the shitty question that's not meant to trap
you but you've watched enough of this offense and it changes to be able to
answer this question for me in a way
that if you're honest about it might give us some insight. So if I ask you and make you to choose one
MVP of your offense and it's to or McDaniel or Hill or Moistert or whoever you want to pick as your MVP with the front end saying
I'm forcing you to pick one. Yeah, this is not got you journalism. Just help me understand
Who's the MVP of this offense? What's your answer?
Oh, that's really tough. That's a good question. Um, I mean you could go a lot of different ways with this because again our offense is crazy.
So many different weapons, but I'm gonna give a shout out to you know some people that don't get a lot of credit and suddenly, um,
You know, I was I would say Alec Engel. Um, oh, this is a lot as well. This get a lot of credit. And suddenly, I would say Alec Engle.
Oh, this is a lie as well, though.
This is a lie, Mr.
Man.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
Let him finish.
Let him finish.
No, no, no, no.
Ain't no lie.
I'm standing on business.
And his value on what he brings to the offense
is insurmountable, really.
Just the versatility he brings in the different things. He doesn't really just the, like, you know, he brings, the offense is insurmountable, but really just the versatility he brings
and the different things he does.
And really just the, like, you know,
he sets the tone a lot of time for our offense.
So I'm gonna say that number one.
No, I'm standing on business,
and I'm gonna say that, yes, I like number one.
And number one, that's one A and one B.
I'm gonna give a shout out to my boys up front
because everyone in the great style of the job all year.
You know, and they get great looks
and great reps and practice going against
hardy lines. So they're prepared for what they see on Sunday. So and they've been
doing a great job all year. You know, so those are my two MVP's.
That is a master class and avoiding a question, Dan. You will not
wrap Christian Wilkins. It's bulls. He just swim with you.
I'm gonna give him a stand in the table right now.
That's not that long. not, that's not.
Hell, the swim move right now.
Oh man, the swim.
Oh man, where do you go?
Let me go.
All right, so after them,
if I give you the only three choices,
and you're not the only part veteran here,
if I only give you the three choices of McDaniel and Toa and Hill,
after Ingold and your offensive line, which is a bullshit answer.
Total bullshit. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no You were very professional this off season when the business of money made an appearance.
And how difficult was that for you in a sport where you're breaking your bodies on behalf
of the organization and everyone in your huddle wants to get their money?
Yeah, like you said, it's just part of the business.
But at this point in the season, I just love ball and I love playing with my teammates
and I'm having a lot of fun.
So that's really just the focus for me is just being the best I can now for my guys.
And having a lot of fun because this year has been great.
It's the most fun I've probably had in football in a while.
And that's saying a lot because I enjoy this game.
I love this game and I just play with such passion.
And for this year, just to be a specialist, it is not because of wins,
it's not because of nothing, just because of the people and everything.
It's just been a lot of fun. So I'm just enjoying it while special as it is, not because of wins, not because of nothing, just because of the people and everything. It's just been a lot of fun.
So I'm just, you know, just enjoying it while I have it now,
you know, I'm just being a part of this team.
We're having a great time and just the energy around here
is great and you know, all that,
everybody's working in the building.
It's been a lot of fun this year,
just a lot of different energy.
So I'm just excited to be a part of that.
If you had to pick what felt better here or Clemson,
here or all the winning at Clemson?
Yeah, you know, Clemson was definitely obviously
really special for me, great university, Go Tigers, you know.
You know, Clemson was really obviously special for me
and I had a great time there winning championships
and finding my best friends for life,
the other D-Lime in that I was there,
they are in the league now.
That was real cool and real awesome.
And there wasn't really any time like college,
because that's when you're coming into adulthood
and you're finding your way with your brothers,
you're all just broken, hungry, and I'm saying,
and just trying to go get it and all that stuff.
So that was special.
But like I said, this year has been really fun too.
And just really special for me to this point.
And hopefully there's more good times to come ahead.
We have less than a minute here, Christian.
Did Florida stay get robbed?
That's, I mean, I'm an ACC guy.
I think, you know, with the circumstances,
and you know, it's tough because of this Florida state.
But I think they definitely should have made it.
They earned the right, you know, and they are undefeated
in a power five conference.
So I think that you definitely should have they're on the right to be in there.
But we can laugh at him, right?
It's pretty fun.
No, FSU, right? Come on.
You're right.
Oh, man.
But hey, like I said, wait, time out real quick.
I got a question for you for you, Dan, because you know, I said, I've been watching show for a while.
How's Poppy, man?
That was my guy.
I loved when he all used to get on and sing on the show.
And during the little breaks, he do like the singing.
Like, I never forget the one time he was singing Mingo.
So that was hilarious.
But yeah, like I said, I was always watching shows.
So I just wanted to check and see how poppin' he's doing.
Thank you for asking.
He will be thrilled that you asked, even though he prefers only
Cuban dolphins.
Those are his favorite. Those are his favorite.
They're just, they're up. Wait's been a pleasure to watch you work.
Yes, sir. Appreciate you guys. Thank you. I appreciate that. It's definitely humbling. I think you have from me on the show. All right. Thank you, Christian. How are
Thank you, sir.
That was fun, man. Thank you. All right. Good deal. I have a good one. Appreciate you guys. I noticed Chris Cody. You said that under your breath
I understand you said that well said to him because he said thank you for having me on the program
You said it in my ear. Yeah, and he said well said, but then you ran out that guy ran out like a coward like a coward good seeing you Christian
You wouldn't have him chase you at a party for celebrating or chase you
Yeah, with violence started and we ended
Full kinky fool again.
Don Lebertard.
I got somebody here making fun of me.
How old do you have to be to reference checky green?
Man, I went comedically there with the funny name of a comedian.
That's on you for not knowing who Sheki green is.
I know who Sheki green.
No, you don't have to know who Sheki green is, but I, don't know i don't like my allies are the bush belt still gots um i have
the soul of a bush belt comedian uh... i should be in the cat skills in
nineteen forty five opening for shakig green that's why i was destined to be
this is the down there but are show with this to gots
yesterday toney had to put napkins in his nose because he went 90 minutes without
being able to talk about professional Sunday football and the takes were kind
of coming out of him, but there was no room at the microphones. And I believe Lucy
has needed the same kind of tissues today because she has a lot of college
football opinions. And we covered this ground so thoroughly yesterday,
but Lucy, you're one of our experts
on the incredibly popular, not named foot girls,
but Jessica yesterday slipped up
and kind of said it was okay.
She speaks for her Nami.
To name it, foot girls.
She slipped on it, but we took that as consent and we wanna call it foot girls. Lucy doesn't want it, foot girls. She slipped on it, but we took that as consent and we want to call it
foot girls. Lucy doesn't want it. Foot girls. But Lucy and Jessica are doing one of
the best college football podcasts that are out there. And I do want your
expertise here to explain to me everything you saw, what was funniest as you've
consumed all of the jokes on social media. Lay out for us. What's the best
stuff from everything that you saw in the chaos of Sunday.
Oh, that is a tough ask,
but I think the funniest part is the collective agreement
that, man, this had to be really wrong for us
to all feel bad for Florida State.
That is the team that we are, oh my God.
There's the team we are sympathizing with.
There's a foot in my face for the audio listeners.
All right, let's do it this way.
Lucy, we will support your analysis,
and you can go for as long as you like,
talking about college football.
All of us will simply support you with these,
and let's make this light not too loud
so that they can hear, the audience can hear what she's doing.
We will support you with the soundtrack to this, okay?
But your analysis, I don't get distracted.
Don't let us distract you. You ready? All all right this is my moment all right all right so my biggest
takeaway from this is that I don't think it really mattered that Alabama beats
Georgia I think regardless Florida State is going to get left out when they
dropped Florida State to five two weeks ago after Jordan Travis got hurt they made
that decision that they were gonna cut Florida State out and I actually don't
think it's because Jordan Travis got hurt
I think it's because the ACC is bad and they're punishing Florida state for being in the ACC
And I think this is going to be the death of it like this is gonna be the nail in the coffin that ends that conference
This whole thing was all going to happen. They were always going to leave Florida state out
That was always the plan and I feel bad for it
I feel really rough and people were coming out and saying it's TCU's fault. It's not TCU's fault.
It's because of the injury. It's really not 100% because of the injury. This was all a master plan to get us to like the 12 team playoff.
Even though I think that's a bad idea. Idea as well.
So close.
It's okay. We'll do it again.
It's really close to my mouth.
Why did the committee put FSU for before that if they were going
to do this? I have no idea. The committee really hurt themselves by putting Alabama at
eight when I think they always knew whoever won that game between Georgia and Alabama,
they were going to put in. They honestly should have put Alabama up earlier but there was
no real way to do it. You couldn't put them above Texas. They have a head to head loss to Texas. Oregon, Washington, it would have been
weird to drop them for no reason. It was just a weird situation where they screwed themselves
over with the rankings. But let me tell you now they were never going to let Florida
state in. That was always the plan. If Georgia had won, Georgia would have made it. Agreed?
Florida state still wouldn't have been there.
Are you in agreement with Stephen A. Smith that everything else is
totally the same, but Dion Sanders is the coach of FSU because
they gave him the job instead of Norvell, yes or no.
Say that one more time. Arch.
What?
Stephen A. Smith had the best take of any of the takes when he argued
that if FSU, all the things were the same, but Dion Sanders was their
coach, they'd be in.
Yes. Well, the problemon Sanders was their coach. They'd be in. Yes.
Well, the problem with that is Steven Ace, like put that right next to the dumbest take
of all time, which is that it was because TCU got blown out by Georgia, even though they
won the semifinal game against Michigan.
So it kind of thinkated it for me a little, but that is true.
But it was this weird thing that I saw yesterday, if people would be like Florida State's not
there because of TV ratings, Florida State is a team people tune into.
That doesn't really make sense to me, but I do believe I agree with him 100% if D.
Om were the head coach, absolutely they would have made it.
Hey, toes.
The optics of that's what's troubling to me.
Chris Cody.
I didn't enjoy that.
I am going.
Not as much as I thought I would anyways.
Chris Cody, I am going to, at some point during the show,
I am going to unveil what would have been my top four.
Well, it's about time.
Yeah, I mean, we asked yesterday, you gave us Washington,
so you can give us another three.
It feels like he has 10 teams in there.
Well, it's going to have full trauma.
It's got to show us a six.
You know, how things really were shaken out.
Top six.
Started six, yeah.
The advantage that our show has
over all other pods in the market is time spent listening, time spent watching. I've got to drag
it out. I prefer to do it at the end of the week, but I've been forced by this situation to do it
today because you can only tease the audience so much. But speaking of teasing and teases,
Mike Ryan's father, we discovered yesterday
as a group, is beautiful.
And we also discovered yesterday
that somehow he is older than Greg Cody.
And I can't believe that those two human beings
that Greg Cody is the younger one.
Please put up behind me the picture of Greg Cody,
looking finest, looking as good as he's ever looked.
And find for me the picture as well of Mike Ryan's father,
so that we can put next to each other,
these two human beings so that people can see,
because Mike Ryan's father,
I couldn't believe Greg Cody, that he is older than you even though you are very
discreet about your age you try not to tell people what your age is you're
weirdly protected
really I mean I mentioned it on my own Greg Cody show
Quite often dropping every Monday wherever you get your ponds. I'm sorry, Greg. Quite often. Dropping every Monday, wherever you get your ponds.
I'm really never set it on that podcast.
No, I have.
It was a way of promoting the pot.
No, because when I turned 69, I made a joke that that's sort of a weird age because everybody's
gonna make their little jokes and make their little-
Well, thanks for making it weird.
And so that's how old I am.
I have no idea how old my father is.
Your age.
He's exactly my age.
But he doesn't look it.
He is, well, he does it.
He's a young 69.
Right, now I'm an old 69.
Right, yeah.
Yeah, I look old from my age.
I look 89.
That's where he's supposed to say,
no, you don't look 89.
Come on, let's not get carried away
But what can I tell you? I mean, you know, you did something interesting
He brought it up. He did ask the question right
How am I supposed to react to somebody comparing me to somebody else my age and saying he looks younger than you
I mean how does one respond to that?
Congrats to Mike's father, you know that kind of thing my age and saying he looks younger than you. I mean, how does one respond to that?
Congrats to my father, you know, that kind of thing.
Can I ask you guys off of last night's game, Jacksonville and Cincinnati? I'm always laughing
at the fact that the sound when it comes from Jacksonville and Jacksonville sports, the
audio, the video, all of it seems like it's a little behind the rest of us.
Something about the coverage and the information coming out of Jacksonville is a little more
polluted and feels like not quite as pure as some of the other places.
So Jacksonville, in general, Florida is a strange place.
Jacksonville is quintessentially Florida.
And yesterday, while Trevor Lawrence,
who's pretty valuable, is on a bad ankle,
I'm thinking to myself, and Don Van Nott
appointed this out, he's limping all the way back
to the locker room.
There are so many golf carts in this state.
And your quarterback and your economy
is hobbled on a clearly bad ankle.
And he's walking all the way back to the locker room
when every weekend I'm watching guys
carted who aren't as valuable as Trevor Lawrence
in terms of salary.
And I'm wondering to myself,
how is it that Trevor Lawrence is making his way
all the way back to the locker room on a bad ankle
when he's a quarterback for a billion dollar industry?
With no transportation.
A multi billion dollar industry.
Without you've got a golf cart.
You've got a judge's golf cart.
Yeah, I drive it everywhere.
I mean, I drive it to get the mail.
The mail's 25 years away.
Somebody should have lifted them,
like cradle them like a toddler,
and carried him.
Agreed.
He's like six six.
Agreed, man.
Yeah, sometimes you gotta walk it off though.
I mean, you do.
You gotta walk it off.
I mean, he walked it off.
He did. I can lift it on it. I can lift someone who's six six. If McGill was off. I mean, he walked it off. He did.
I can live on it.
I can live someone who's six, six.
If McGill was in here right now, I'd lift him.
I'd cradle him like a toddler.
Craig, you're in career.
I'm pretty.
I've got old man's strength.
All right, let's try it.
I'm six.
Well, not you, no.
I mean, someone, you know, someone not quite as, you know,
worthy.
I do.
I mean, give me a thin man, you know, I'll lift up.
Oh, I'll lift Bellamy in a heartbeat, you kidding me?
All right, let's go.
Roy, go in there.
Roy, get in here.
Come on.
I gotta see this.
That is good.
But if I strain my back, you're gonna strain your back.
He's going to hurt himself.
I'm a little concerned.
Someone needs to protect themselves and say,
this is a bad idea on me.
Let's Roy weigh, but 190.
We'll do that for this, but not the focus.
Does he really weigh 190?
Yeah.
When I made that offer, I thought he weighed 150.
Roy, you don't weigh 190.
Yeah, 150.
Is 150 your limit?
Is that what you're saying?
Yeah, you know, who here weighs 150?
Anybody?
You looked at me, but, uh, now, sorry.
Wait a minute, what just happened?
So Roy's leaving the room and we're not going to get the be- I don't, I don't lift 188. but now sorry. Wait a minute, what just happened? So Roy's leaving the room and we're not gonna get the
be 180.
I don't lift 188, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Well you just said you could lift McGill.
You just said you could lift the six person,
isn't Wemmanyama?
Like what do you, you're just need an incredibly thin
portion.
Yeah, I need Lewis looks in.
Lewis should be like 150.
Yeah, let's get Lewis in there.
Let's go. Yeah. I don't. Oh, let them in a heartbeat. I am so tired in Lewis should be like 150 Lewis go. I don't oh look at a heartbeat
I am so tired of Lewis on camera worried about that heartbeat I don't want Lewis on camera and
Contextually we need a hundred and fifty pound man. All right Lewis come on
Let's go on Lewis go ahead
Contextually we need the pay-on here. I'm having it on too. Wow, so like 150 of Greg Cody.
I want you to cradle him behind me.
No, get over here.
Get behind me.
Don't lift with your back.
Lift with your legs.
Now do it all back.
Yeah, that's how you do it.
And say leg.
Gleg your feet.
Greg, do not injure yourself here.
Dig your great toe into the ground.
Hey, hold on a second.
Put the photo of Greg Cody's awful face behind
him, please. So they normally do that. So they we've got another video department. It's
not just Lewis. We've got other people. I know we're paying other people back there. Go
ahead. You're only doing it once. No, I make it clear. I'm against this decision. You've
got you got to hold it for as long as you can. Oh, wow. We did it. What an upset. Yes, not a thin six-six man, not anything he said he was
gonna do, just a light frail man I didn't want on camera. Yes, hooray Greg Cody, not doing what he
said he was gonna do. The Greg Cody experience everybody.
That was good.
