Starting point is 00:00:00 Alright everybody, welcome to the Pastimes podcast. Each week we go through an old newspaper from a random date history picked up by Dave Anthony. I'm Garrett Reynolds and I've never seen it before and neither is our guest this week. Brad Williams. Hello Brad. Hello, I'm so glad to be here so excited and so glad that Dave has decided to troll me by having a dwarf on the podcast and wearing a giant's hat. Oh my God. I mean, that's all I know. Why don't you just say Fee 5 hope from you ask?
Starting point is 00:00:38 So triggering. I'm so glad. I thought it was too subtle, but yeah. So Brett, you guys are scoring some major points of me. This is my wife's favorite podcast. This one is, or the dollop. Both. She listens to both of these. Wow. And I never listen because I like
Starting point is 00:01:06 Yeah, you enjoy comedy. Yeah, I enjoy comedy. I'm actually on team Dave's hat suddenly. I don't know I like Dave's hat more than I did at the beginning. Yeah, I told you he asked me what it was gonna look and I said I'm fucking coming out hostile with this guy He asked me what it was gonna look at I said I'm fucking coming out hostile with this guy Well, I'm just glad he didn't do the sand outfit when he said that I said that's a great Now Brad let's talk okay first of all you're on tour all the time people can go to your website Brad Williams comedy dot com And you are are you is it safe to say you're starting to blow up more? Is that? Yeah, uh, things are going well.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Thank you, whatever, um, TikTok, Instagram algorithms that put, yeah, morph comedy videos and people's searches. I don't know what you have to search to get to me, but, apparently there's a lot of, I mean, it's like me and Bridget the Midget. We are killing it. Um, yeah, but you're like me and Bridget the Midget we are killing it Yeah, but you're doing better the bridge of the mission right slightly You know so yes, I'm moving to theaters. So if you go to my website starting in July we're doing We're doing norlands we're doing Seattle. We're doing Minneapolis. We're doing two at the Wilbur in Boston
Starting point is 00:02:24 So two two Dave two. Yeah, so it used to do that. Yeah, we did two once you go once Yeah, one time it was the 90s It was different nobody knew what a podcast was back then yet. You were still selling out Yeah, it was really weird made those sense. Yeah So basically Brad were you know, we're gonna go through a random newspaper and I always like to take a stab at what year I think it'll be it can be anywhere from the 1600s to you know as recent as it could be yesterday's paper Which would probably not enjoyable, but who knows Dave might have a drinking problem? And I'll guess that
Starting point is 00:03:04 He's gonna do I'm gonna guess that he's going to do... I'm going to guess that this one's going to be in the late 1700s. That's what I think. So I'll say 1798. All right. I know we're coming up on Memorial Day, so maybe he did a war-themed... Like it? ...podcast or a war-themed newspaper newspaper so I'm going to go from the from
Starting point is 00:03:28 there was some sort of conflict going on in the 1940s it kind of escapes me the name of it some sort of yeah some sort of war that involved almost the world I remember it was big yeah and I remember a lot of it was fake And the thing about this country is pretty much every year we've had a war. There was a few we took it on So Dave, what are we? You're both wrong, which is not unusual It was Saturday January 15th 1898
Starting point is 00:04:00 That was my was a hundred years on. That was my second guess. Yeah, yeah, I know. Yeah. What was the year again? 18, 18, 98. All right. Well, I mean, yeah, just slightly off. Okay. Yeah. 50 years or so. El Paso, Texas. Oh, El Paso. That's the answer to my favorite Johnny Carson Karnak the magnificent bit. Which is, that's pretty obscure.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I think that references for me too. Yeah, the answer is El Paso. The question is, what does the quarterback do when he can't El Rano or El Punto? That's a good one. How you got two big man's in your corner over here. Hold up. How high?
Starting point is 00:04:53 How high were those writers? Oh, man. So incredibly high. Yeah, I only know that. And Bart reads comic strip, which may have still been open in 1898 in Bart's been around a while All right page one this is the El Paso weekly herald by the way good Sure, I'm glad it's me. I don't need monthly from El Paso. I need that
Starting point is 00:05:24 They still should be doing weekly. Yeah, the shit they should. Here's one bank robber captured. Samuel Copeland was brought here today. He was captured in West Texas. He held up the cashier of a bank in Minnesota and got $3,000. He was captured but escaped recaptured and escaped from prison
Starting point is 00:05:48 he is a dangerous man so he's been a little chopper yet yet and the outsees and the outsees not really i want to know more why he's dangerous that was kind of i also think that that that for as far as this podcast goes this is actually a pretty relevant
Starting point is 00:06:07 Important story for the front page normally. Yeah, you know, it's like bunny scene And this one is actually like I would say this important well the next one is from Happening Kansas City. It's quite a pain. They have an out there covering Kansas City news and Elpast. Yeah Aged widow burned Oh, no, oh So many ways and none of them good here we go. Here we go Mrs. Margaret Davidson and all aged widow was burned We get it. She's all they'll pass. Yeah, and old bag got fired like dog shit on a porch prank.
Starting point is 00:06:47 And don't think her husband was there to save her. He's dead. To be clear, he's gone. Did we not mention that? Was burned to death this morning in a fire that destroyed her home. That's the whole story. Wow.
Starting point is 00:07:02 I hope you enjoyed it. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, That's the whole story wow. I hope you enjoyed it. No No, it don't know it don't he kicked over a lantern. No It gave you the whole thing also why are they throwing shade at the widow? They're like fucking all lonely's gone. Yeah Oh, she couldn't move. She's laid there. Go ahead. Widow me. Widow. Why does it matter that she's a little bit? Dirk's the right that her husband died and left her. And now she's left us. Thank Christ. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:34 That would be great if the story yesterday was old man dies with cigarette in his hand. It's also old smoke, old dangerous smoke or passes away. I think here's another one. Yeah old smoke old dangerous smoke or passes away. I Think here's another one. I think that's how we should do more more celebrity deaths Like like all celebrity dead like not no sensationalized JFK got shot just like Man encounters bullet while going for a drive Land orer Brain now. Yeah. And that's it. Moving on. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Uh, this one's out of Oklahoma territory. Mysterious suicide. Huh. All right. You guys, you're in. Well, hey, if we pushed two and two together, it could have been the old widow who burnt. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Oh, see, it's all, it's all fucking coming together. This is gonna together this is gonna this is like clue this paper is gonna end up it's only because you had no more money left because she was robbed by a bank robber by the dangerous bank robber TJ Wiggins assistant cashier of the state bank of Norman committed suicide last night and his body was found in a Piscopal church this morning. Wow.
Starting point is 00:08:48 So are they somehow saying that he did not do it there? It feels like they just like they're figuring it out as they're writing. You know what I mean? Like you would be like a suicide happened in a church, but they're like Mysterious suicide ended up in a church. Yes, not sure how his body ended up there If it yeah, they did there's no there's no like how is he hanging is he sure? Blow a thing off Oh, yeah, is it weird that I hear that story and my first reaction is man I don't think there was too many TJs around in the 1890s.
Starting point is 00:09:27 At the first thing I thought of was our agent. Yeah. We share an agent who despite his youthful demeanor, apparently a distant relative on that day. TJ just seems like, oh, that's the name of a of the friend from an 80s teen sitcom. Like that, like that's totally or hat backwards.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Found on a found on a chair that he'd reversed. Yeah. Sitting cool guy style. I was trying to look up with the lead role and she's like you're just a friend TJ. Yeah, I know, I know I'm just a friend, okay. That's that that's that TJ TJ is not 18. You don't picture a TJ with a handle bar mustad. Yeah. Hey, T.
Starting point is 00:10:21 Uh, Wiggins accounts were straight and his domestic relations happy the affair is a mystery so they're like right he had he had money and his wife was fine what's the deal before they were like the guy was getting action and he had cash in the back this letter this must have been a murder nobody goes if they have a wife and cash especially not cool hip pj especially not kick ass TJ.
Starting point is 00:10:47 The neighbor who just opens the door and softers it. Yeah. So I just can't get over TJ is the name. Like it's just it's not it's not normal name for back. No, it might be why it might be why this ended. That might be the missing piece. Yeah. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 00:11:07 People won't leave me alone about my goddamn name. They just keep asking what it stands for. Yeah. I don't know. It's like if some guy introduced himself now, and his name is Jebadi and he's not Amish. You'd be like, well, that's weird. The fuck's wrong with you. I'm JD
Starting point is 00:11:27 Yeah, it's just it's just very strange and I yeah, you're right You're right David that like it's like okay. Yeah, well, yeah, I don't you had a wife He had money so there's no other reason to kill yourself in the eight. Yeah, we're all baffled Like I don't know what went wrong and he did it in the church near God again. This man was murdered It must have been by God good Lord. Yeah This one Headline is felt fell 16 flights Jesus Christ, you know today
Starting point is 00:12:02 Jesus Christ. You know, today, modern times are a really crazy time to be alive. But based on this newspaper alone, I'm going to take being alive today for the win. I don't know. Yeah, seriously. Being alive in the 1890s. It sounds horrible. Sixteen flights. Was he married with cash?
Starting point is 00:12:21 This is out of Chicago. An Chicago an unknown man well come on get the guys name yeah we're just calling him scrapes at least tell me you've got a widow or not this is valuable information yeah pancake Johnson jumped off the building Mushprey Latop McGee An unknown man jumped down the inside of a of the rotunda from the 16th floor of the Masonic temple this morning I was wondering why they label it flights because that seemed a bit strange so it is actually Because that seemed a bit strange so it is actually Wow and by the way if you're in a mugs temple you have to take the vow of silence meaning when he hit he couldn't even let out
Starting point is 00:13:14 No, but miss on it. Oh Sonic that's a now Yeah, he's murder is the Masons he got killed yeah killed the guy he told some of the handshake the illuminati of Chicago. I like that's right also Yeah, I'm glad you did clear that up that it was just one straight shot down because you said fell 16 flights I'm like the man His middle name was slinky How did he keep hitting the turns perfectly for 16 flights? That is a remarkable shot. And how do you not know who it is?
Starting point is 00:13:52 Everyone knows it's Slinky. After the body had swept down 13 flights, it struck and bent an iron railing falling fence to the floor of the rotunda we got it so we didn't think like well what happened what what's there what's there a convenience stack of pillows beneath them and now he's what killed them they they go on to tell you what happened oh him. They they go on to tell you what happened. Oh, the suicide, the suicide, the suicide, the struck on his head, which was reduced to a mass of pulp. Oh, my God. Holy shit. Okay. Hey, boss, you really want me to keep writing on this one? There's not a
Starting point is 00:14:41 lot. Yeah. Yeah. You know, you know, you know, he wrote that just thinking I'm gonna make somebody spit out the orange juice. By the way, a valid, I validates my orange juice position holy right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah, are you a, are you a, are you a no pulp guy? No, no pulp. No pulp. Thank you. And let's express it.
Starting point is 00:15:02 If it's fresh squeezed, I'll have it. But otherwise, I feel like it's just like like it's just like orange confetti. I need Would you like some would you like some annoying in your orange juice and would you like you juice to be a bit of a meal sir? I'm sorry. I don't drink my orange juice unless I can chew it I Like a beverage I could choke on if that's possible who are who are these pulp people? I don't like them. Yeah, yeah, well, we got the pulp man. And by the way, no mention of like why this guy did it. I mean, we don't understand why he did it. He had money. A wife. He was a person. Well, he at least had he had some flare like he went up to the retunda and jumped and hit a Well, I the word I I actually I brought this paper up on my laptop Dave
Starting point is 00:15:51 You probably didn't see it and they said his last words were soup looks Here's another headline okay Suicide a epidemic all right, well you don't need to tell us Dave. This is three and are we still the front page? I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it.
Starting point is 00:16:16 I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. I'm not sure if you can see it. Holy shit. All right. All were poor. All were poor, despondent people. There is a suicidal epidemic this week. That's the whole story. So this guy was writing the paper and he's like, hold on, this is happening a lot.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Yeah, this guy was like, you know, it might be, I'm curious what happened to the editor of this paper if he ended it all soon after this could have been a cry for him. So this is like this, this is like the start of a movie. It's, but it's instead of like watching a video that makes you kill yourself. It's, it's in the 1800s. Yeah. They read an article. Then they take themselves out. It sounds like the prequel to, if you ever saw the film Children of Man, where it like,
Starting point is 00:17:00 Oh, yeah. During that movie, there's like commercials and there's drug commercials. The same way you sell like Viagra, but instead of that, there's like commercials and there's drug commercials the same way you sell like a Viagra but instead of that it's like do you want to end it all? Yeah, yeah, try new end it all and it all side effects. Hopefully include death. Imagine side effects. That's a great date movie by the way. Oh yeah. It is a great one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:29 One long shot. Where I was getting shot around the baby. Yeah. Yeah. The last, the only baby. Well, that's it. My goal is to end up like Michael Cain in that movie without question. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Michael Cain. I was there. we haven't had any more babies. No more babies are coming out of a giant. Dave's, Dave's face. I didn't know he did impressions. I had no idea. A couple of couple impressions. One is Mark O'Kine out. You know, I'm gonna do an impression that's in for you right now. This is how everyone could do a my cocaine impression. All you do is you say the word my, like you own it, my, and then you say the word cocaine, the wonderful powdery substance. And then you have a my cocaine impression.
Starting point is 00:18:24 You just say my cocaine, and then there you go. That's the impression. That's pretty good. All right, let me try it. I don't go now. All right, let's move on. Let's move on. Let's move on.
Starting point is 00:18:34 I can stand there in the room with me. No, it is not. We're still just going to go. Let me work. All right, no more. No more. Suicide. No more. No more.
Starting point is 00:18:46 No more. Where's the wrong? Good head. This is out of New York. Is that a New York? By the way, and just to be clear, the amount of El Paso stories were here. Not much.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Not much. Not much. We got the one. We got the robber guy. That's it. You're right. He was El Paso. i thought he was miss a third uh... the was right right he brought he was brought to the exporter
Starting point is 00:19:10 the journal this morning a liches that the telegram of judge mckena sent to senator uh... on i think it says smacked too much of partisanship for a supreme court judge and it will injure mechanist chances for confirmation the message reads quote everything is good in politics you have triumphed congratulations well
Starting point is 00:19:34 what i'm glad i'm glad that was so far in the past and now we don't have any partisan supreme court judges uh... well that that wouldn't you couldn't get on the Supreme Court because of that note. And yet Clarence Thomas has basically been funded by Harlan Crowe. Clarence Thomas has been living a mid 90s JZ hip hop video for the past 20 years. And that's fine. Clarence Thomas is gone. I think it's time to stop vilifying and it's time to just be like, look, he did it.
Starting point is 00:20:12 He did it. I mean, he pulled it off. He did to wear pajamas to work. Yeah. Yeah. He didn't, he didn't, how many years that he not speak Dave? He didn't have someone. Seven years at one point.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Seven years. In court. Seven years. How many years that he not speak Dave he didn't have seven years at one point In court seven years because he's just he would just sit there thinking about I'm gonna buy a jet ski Yeah, he was just thinking about fish that he caught He was like Harlan really hooked me up with that small mouse bath basically like It sounds like Clarence Thomas is just living the life of the kid from the Disney film blank check If you ever yes, yes Brian but Brian Buntsall, he buys a castle. He probably has a water slide from his bedroom to his closet. Yeah. Oh, I would love to be a standup comedian who doesn't say anything for seven years
Starting point is 00:21:02 and yet still gets paid. That would be amazing. That'd be awesome. and it's not a good good good good good good good good
Starting point is 00:21:18 good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good good where's the uh... where's the wrong where's the where's the wrong yeah where's the there like yeah i i i i feel like that should be in uh... a new show on fox news just where's the wrong that's pretty good i could hear i could hear jessie water saying that
Starting point is 00:21:39 yeah by the way you know the only late night show continuing through the writers don't say it with me. Cut failed. Cut failed. We don't have writers. We have suggestions. Cut failed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Number one rated. Oh, there's just a column. Yeah. Yeah. There's just a column here and it says ins and outs. All right. Finally, we get to the erotic. And the first one.
Starting point is 00:22:01 The first one. The first one is Miss Emma Omen is able to be out again. Oh, so So I guess you have to know her in order for those to be I was worried. She's allowed to be out Where was down? Well her husband let her out of her cage. She's allowed to be out again Yeah, why was she in I mean I must it was probably in last week's in-s and outs of what Well, her husband let her out of her cage. She's allowed to be out again. Oh my God. Yeah, why was she in? I mean, it was probably in last week's ins and outs of what happened to her.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Well, okay, what's our next out? I mean, that sounds like just, that's a piece of news that your mom tells you on the phone about like something like. Yeah, right. Well, you know, Emma Fitzgerald's going out again. She's out. I've been died six and a half years ago,
Starting point is 00:22:48 but now she's out. And gay park, gay park is in. It's just so much of people are like George Henderson, a Madonna and Black Mountain mining man came down this morning on the Santa Fe. It's just stuff like that. It's just all these people. It's like my uncle and it lives in a small town in England and he makes the paper for being tall. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Triggering very triggering. He makes he makes the paper for being tall twice a year. Like they'll be like Dave weeks got new shoes. Oh my god, and it'll be stuff like that So what you're saying is I need to move to this town because that's guaranteed front page Twice the if you weren't doing if you weren't doing theaters. Yeah, it could be a move leaves his home The dwarf is left his home again the dwarf is left his home again. Dwarf out of cottage. Some people do Groundhog Day.
Starting point is 00:23:47 We determine how long winter is going to be by when the dwarf leaves this cottage. That's you're just trying to buy some milk. Leave alone. Just let us know when do the clouds be part of it? God, dwarf left his house. OK, so here's one under ins and outs. On today's 19,
Starting point is 00:24:09 19th, parentheses, I assume it's a train. On today's 19 was the wife of Colonel McKay, one of the heaviest mining men of Zacatekus. Sure. Formerly manager of the Gould and Curry in the Sierra Nevada. They have great food. Miss McKay had with her their 17 year old son who two days ago walked off the train in
Starting point is 00:24:37 his sleep. Oh my god. What a Hachi. What? A Hachi? What a Hachi. He what? Who is that?
Starting point is 00:24:47 Has there ever been a higher fake sleepwalk? He's sleeping! Who the fuck can sleep on a train like that? Who can open a door? What are these trains? Open door? Maybe they just have an open door policy at night, because it's hot, and you keep the door a lot cooler.
Starting point is 00:25:04 There's been a lot of suicides going on So this is the suicide This potentially could be taught yet it could be it could be It could be open if it isn't is there look I One time had people throw water on me to wake me up I think waking up falling off of a train is Absolutely the worst way to wake up. Oh, yeah It's just wake up just to be getting stones in your face. Yeah
Starting point is 00:25:35 Good morning, I can't walk and I don't have skin on my face And that happened in the town of Wada Hachi Yeah, you're That's a town Yeah, that is That is a cat from a 1930s Wada Hachi Wada Hachi
Starting point is 00:25:58 Wada Hachi Where the hell from Wada Hachi I'll take it out there Wada Hachi The guys leave block up the train. His face beat came lunch. When she kisses you, you go, what a hockey. Woo. Woo.
Starting point is 00:26:12 That's not lay off the band. Not us. That's not it. I've never laid off a band, but here we are. Oh, by the way, it goes on. The boy was wandering around for 24 hours and had he been exposed much longer would have perished So they didn't know so he walked off the train in his sleep and nobody knew he must have just been out there And he was just like in a city and people were like what's going on with you? He's like I walked I don't I Let that, I woke up falling off a train.
Starting point is 00:26:47 My family will come back soon. All right, all right, hold on. He tried to fucking jump off the train and then ran. He got fucked up and then he was like, no, I sleep, I've, firstly. The plan didn't go through. They brought him back on.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Yeah, it is becoming more more likely especially considering the front His mother and just told him you're taking over the family business You're not you're not gonna be a ballerina dancer just give up this foolish dream. That's right then what are you gonna do? Live in what a hot chi now Well, mom This should be the headline and this should be a bigger story like this is we find me a super interesting Very interesting story and it's an ins and outs. I would read on more than old widow found burned to death. Yeah Yeah Supreme Court burned to death yeah supreme court domination in question
Starting point is 00:27:48 hey by the way a guy sleepwalked off a train into what a hot she where do we want to put that what do you think near the ads tell me more uh... more ins and outs the allegation by mj camels neighbors that in his recent trouble he pulled a gun on his wife and then told her he was only fooling and gave her
Starting point is 00:28:13 the weapon is denied by miss cambell who says he had no gun on her and then he was like, I'm just goofing. And she's like, no, there was no gun. Yeah, she's saying he didn't have a gun. The neighbors were like, no, he pulled the gun on her and then said he was kiddin' around. And she's like, no. The neighbors, okay, okay. So then it does sort of wreak of some sort of issues in the domicile.
Starting point is 00:28:49 Yes, for sure, for his abusive. And she's like, no. We're fine. It was, it was his finger in his pocket. A little dust up. He was, don't worry. That's how he says, give it to me. He does finger guns.
Starting point is 00:29:02 We were role playing. That's how I get turned on he was playing a bank robber from Wata Hachi yeah I was the cashier I'm a ballet dancer that's magic getting back on the train hey so we held the train up for 24 hours so you're fucking sunken as your
Starting point is 00:29:28 son doing well his face is a bit rocked yeah i don't know if i don't know if you guys have been on a plane where it's one of those planes where they have to hold the plane for like one flight attendant or one person yeah yeah and that person gets on the plane and just has to do the walk a shame down down that mile where everyone's staring at him. Imagine doing that for the train when you held it up for 24 hours. And your eyes falling out of your head. So how was what a hotgy day? I saw parts of it very quickly. It's beautiful. I just did a roll by. All right, well, we're under page two. Oh, I thought we're on page two. Okay. Six, a lost dog. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:17 This is a story out of Arizona. So at least we're nearby. Yeah, but it's also like if you're, you don't have enough missing dog stuff for your town. They don't or tell your state You know you you're bed to El Paso like you don't want to go out. It's hot like everyone just stays in I sleep locked into it Trixie Briggs a canine of Chihuahua breed. All right. It's a Chihuahua Trixi Briggs? Trixi Briggs. Hello everyone, it's me, Trixi. Trixi Briggs.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Trixi Briggs is the... Chihuahua. ...parl it from an F-scot, Fitzgerald novel. Yeah, yeah. Trixi Briggs. Uh, wait! Wait about two pounds is causing more amusement and agony at once than any other dog that ever set up a bowl. It's me, Trixie Briggs, I'm a real duster, I dusted up, that's what I do.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Briggs is the name, Trixie Briggs, the game, Malarkey. A woman who came up from Solomonville the other day, owned beauty valued at 500 come on a $500 dollar come on $30,000 more than that I bet it is a 30 the names Trixie Trixi Briggs I poop gold nuggets what's up Trixi Briggs my blood's oil what do you want? Oh no brats? Brad's much it's 8000 so but like a pretty crazy, but that's a lot of fucking money for a dog Yeah, three-two-pound dog nine hundred wide story is that it'll pass though about a dog lost in Arizona
Starting point is 00:32:01 That's why it's a treasure hunt. Yeah, right. Yes. Yes. Yes. I dropped it. I sold the bell for yeah, to use a modern expression, this woman is red headed. Oh, that yeah, very modern expression. We're, we're, yeah, other attack, another attack of my people. Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, So she lost the dog in a town 50 miles away and now she's going from town this woman This feels like the story of like and if like a Disney movie just was actually reality where it's like a guy Looking for his dog and it never found it ever Yeah, this is when reality kicks in. I've searched for my dog for three months and four different towns. It's more alert the dogs dead 650 open dead. Oh, ma'am you ever heard of a coyote two pounds that dog know how much to buy one of those does the coyote sniff out opium dens You're looking for two pounds of coyote you said sir what are you making party
Starting point is 00:36:25 sub she she she likes it oh so that's something that we got that was some global news it's a very not sure Arizona well but close is sure okay this is from in town last night's fire. On alarm. Okay, I mean, there's a fire in the town. I would think you could throw that on the front page. Not to say, obviously, I'm a big fan of the guy who walked up for three. There's a fire in town like put it after the ins and outs. Ins and outs very valuable.
Starting point is 00:36:58 Well, obviously we can't, we all know ins and outs belongs. Yeah, so we'll put it after ins and outs do the 13 suicides first also All right, so we're gonna go all the suicides guy fell off the train face first woman looking for the dog in every city via opium Dens then maybe we'll let people know that the city burned down. Yeah, I think that's good. All right great And along was turned in last night at 7.45 and the department responded promptly. The fire proved to be at John Clemens House, which is the last one on North Oregon Street. The fire was extinguished before the apparatus reached the building and the damage was only slight.
Starting point is 00:37:41 The fire originated by one of the colored women trying to wash a piece of silk in a basin of gasoline. Jesus Christ. Okay, look. I figured out the problem. We found out why there was a fire. The guy tried to light fire crackersackers in a in a drum full of petroleum and the crazily. And now don't forget, don't forget wash all the silk in the
Starting point is 00:38:16 petroleum. I'll be back at night. It gets better. I have. Oh, woman trying to wash a piece of silk in a basin of gasoline in a room where there was a red hot stove and a lamp. Oh my god. So they were. Oh, I just think this sounds like another suicide. So far, every story that isn't about someone taking their own life actually might be too. I mean this woman was essentially just like let me soak the wicks. He decided to clean the gun with his tongue around the barrels. Wow. You just get it in there really good. Well, I'm going to see how much gas we got. Let me just like this match. Yeah. The gasoline ignited while the woman had her hands in the basin and both hands were terribly burned and she had to suffer a great deal all night. Yeah, just all night. All night. Uh, thankfully now she's fine. Yeah. Uh, inside the house was badly burned in some furniture ruined. How is my sick scabs?
Starting point is 00:39:29 Are they? I must did my sick scabs make it sir. Oh, shit. I would love for the person to be talking about this worker at like a, like a tea or something. It's so impossible to find good help. Oh, last night. You won't believe the she's done because apparently our hands burned off Oh, I hear that one all the time
Starting point is 00:39:53 Yeah, hey guys. Oh, yeah, we got we got the suicide. No Yeah, how's going on Jesus yeah, how's going on? Working down on this morning's train that a boy of 13 had committed suicide at Los Luna's. It's called sleepwalking asshole. Yeah, I walked off a train. Stop it. That's what we do. It was said a full account was in the morning Democrat, but it just happened that the package containing the Democrats for the city when it's stray and no further information could be obtained oh so this thing the package containing the democrats saying that there was a whole story in
Starting point is 00:40:33 the the paper called the morning democrat but all the papers are missing so they don't actually they didn't actually know what paper is like we'd love to talk about the Took their own life, but unfortunately we're investigating the removal of another paper We're what welcome to the meta times Yeah This paper brought to you by Chris. By the way El Paso's paper is so shit that they could never fathom that a paper sold out What do you mean there's not left we got a robbery on our hands someone stole the most valuable quantity man has in
Starting point is 00:41:12 for a newspaper well uh... it is it is later learned that he ran away from his father in albuquerque and blew the whole top of his head off of the gun. Oh, I thought, for a second there, I thought we were getting some okay news. No. First of all, it's called self-pump pulping, but I thought we were going to get some okay news because I thought you're like, oh, we actually just ran away. But no, then you had a nice little button at the end. Thanks, pal.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Yeah, no problem. The others do it side. This is I'll tell you at this paper. There's more outs than ins when it comes to life. We're still on page two, by the way. She's such Christ. Well, what's that? Well, what's happening today? Well, everyone's just killing themselves. Well, what times the editor get in? He's not coming in. Oh,
Starting point is 00:42:03 good lord. Him too. Yeah. What times the editor to get in he's not coming in oh good lord The TMP from the east arrived at 120 p.m. The delay being caused by a heavy train strong winds and Occlusion with two mules and the Mexican. Oh my god. What did you put the Mexican guy first? What did you put the Mexican meals? That takes precedent over the strong wind. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Well, there was a lot of wind and we hit a couple of Mexicans in a meal. You're... Yeah. That's like saying the flights on 9-11 were delayed because the drink cart was yeah there there was something else though there was something well i don't look at nine eleven like the day we lost three thousand americans that was
Starting point is 00:42:56 really the day we lost seven hundred and fifty coke products the of the news are in past tense but the Mexican lives to tell the tales are about the that's a great way of putting it and i think you can tell their grieving a little bit unfortunately the mules of past the mexican lived but you can't win them all aren't hey you know we were we were going for the other way but obviously Hey, gareth. How's your uncle?
Starting point is 00:43:29 He's he's past tense Dave. Oh, but my aunt is still present And she's pregnant with the future tense He's got a future tense coming Elfin de Ciglo company will give an entertainment in the saloon de los abreros in a war as next Sunday night. El Paso is a it's across more as correct I think it is. Yes. Yes. Yes. The modern Samson Romulus will exhibit his story. Sorry sir. You heard it right. I'm talking about the entertainment now obviously the modern samson aka Romulus but see but there's a name that due to succession is now being brought back
Starting point is 00:44:14 right yeah the modern samson Romulus will exhibit his extraordinary strength and miss cook will play a solo on the on the Cornette. Miss Cook is a is famous as a Cornettist. What's a Cornette? Is that like a clarinet? Yeah it's like a yeah. Okay. Procussion, what are you gonna say? No it's like a two and a two. Okay. We're gonna actually need to talk to you about your business. What's the fingers? Yep, but that's a. He's my finger. All right. I can't believe I'm outnumbered on this one, but all right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:50 No, no, no, no, a 2D2 is an actual name for a horn instrument and not what you call a fart to a three-year-old. That's right. Yeah. Correct. 2D2. Other actors will entertain the audience in different ways. So it's gonna be a good show other actors Well, at least that's at least like at least I'm thankful that's there's no suits sides like oh
Starting point is 00:45:15 Well, Brad he was get your ass ready for the next story Charles Charles drink when a Tucson's best known young man accidentally shot and killed himself all hunting ducks near Los Angeles. What which way was he pointing? Brad made it happen. It's not a Brad you don't put that blood on Brad's hands. He died doing a duck hunt. They did say there were a lot of suicides and I don't know. How do you shoot yourself hunting a duck? Is it like oh there's one on my head. As someone who has a lot of suicides and I would I don't know you how do you shoot yourself hunting a duck? Is it like oh? There's one on my head As someone who has a lot of experience with the original Nintendo. It's very difficult
Starting point is 00:45:55 How old is Dick Cainy that he's that he's back in those days still shooting to good question my guy and It's a good question. My God and labeled him as one of their best young men. Well, if that's your best What if our best Jack men Killed himself on accident during a duck hunt One of our best young men walked into a door One of our best So we're still on page two Okay, how long is this paper? They're packing it. How many pages is it? I don't know. I have to look. There's a lot of
Starting point is 00:46:30 suicide. Yeah. Yeah. There's a lot of suicides. It's the L past tense. After wrap. Well done. Thank you, everybody. Golf Club or just El Pas Dave. What? Well, we're trying to... Come on, I think I did a thing too. Well, I don't hear the 2D2, so let's move. Actor Ratcliffe in trouble. New York! Daniel? Yeah!
Starting point is 00:47:00 The first and lawful wife of Ratcliffe, the Matteney favorite actor who was recently sentenced to six months in prison meant for beating his American wife. I was acting! I see how bright it was. It was fun role! I was doing a part! I'm taking a asshole! Who is the daughter of Peter Delaci, the well-known bookmaker? Oh, that was a bad idea. I know who he is So an actor beat up a gangster's daughter. Oh Mm-hmm
Starting point is 00:47:31 Is do here today on the steamer st. Louis Just as soon as she identifies her husband the grand jury will be asked to return an indictment against the I don't know what that says, for bigamy. And he will be put on trial with the chance of his spending a long term in the pedotentry ahead of the six months on Blackwell's island. Is he going, is he on trial for the bigamy or for the abuse? But he is, he's already sentenced for the abuse. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:02 And now they're trying to get him for bigamy. Okay. Okay. That's good. Alright. Maybe I'm the non-college graduate in the room. Remind me what bigamy is again. Well Brad, when a man loves a woman, and then he loves another woman,
Starting point is 00:48:16 and then he loves another woman, and it may be the moral. And he wants to make honest women out of all of them. Ha ha ha. Yeah. Bigamy is big all of them. Yeah. Big amiss polygamy, but shorter. Yeah. OK, so it's the Brad Williams of polygamy.
Starting point is 00:48:31 Yes. We've always said it. The case, assuming that Ratcliffe turns out to be the man wanted is a particularly aggravated one. Since he came to America, posed as a footlights favorite, married a reputable American girl and had children by her. His first wife has been working as a domestic servant in a position in England no better than a common judge. Okay, so he relax. He's a poor guy. He's married. He lives in the next America
Starting point is 00:49:06 He acts like he's a rich guy. Right. Get some of the richies. He marries a rich lady make some babies with her and then everybody finds out that he has Poor lady wife back home and and many would say that's his biggest crime of all is impersonating a rich guy correctly I've all the things I've heard that's the most egregious. Absolutely. Uh, she will remain in this country if she can find employment. Okay, so the wife must have come here. Oh, the poor wife. Oh, gee.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Oh, shit. Hello. Oh, no. And then the poor wife. Yeah. And we've got a movie. Yeah, there we have movie. That's right. The most wretched part of the affair is the fact that Ratcliffe's child by Miss Delacey must bear the brand of illegitimacy. Yep, sure. That's the worst thing. Not the beating of the woman. It's the
Starting point is 00:49:59 worst part is everyone will know this child illegitimate Sun is a sun is a bouncer. Okay, I have the best headline that you guys could ever more than a guy sleep walks off a tree. Better than old pulp head. I'm going to tell you right now it's about suicide. Oh, God, see. Page three.
Starting point is 00:50:25 What the editor's just like look, it's pretty cool. I'm trying to. I'm doing papers. I'm trying to work through something that happened in my childhood. Someone passed on. Someone's past heads. Here's the headline. He didn't suicide.
Starting point is 00:50:44 She's so screwed. He didn't suicide. She says. Yeah. All right. Now we did it. Awesome. That's a win. I think contractor MJ Campbell was thought last evening to have attempted suicide, but it was subsequently denied. See, they're just so. They're just so. Wait, what's the fuck? He did take poison, but it was Subsequently denied that he really did take poison though in his excited frame of mind. He declared
Starting point is 00:51:15 He just had Arby's He had done so with the purpose of precipitating his demise. Okay, so it sounds like he committed suicide. Yeah, well tried to and then people are like Why did you drink poison? He's like? Drag poison so that I wouldn't die and they're like, oh, thank God We've been a little paranoid since yesterday 30 people have killed the You see what someone just guzzles poison around us now we're kind of we've been hurt before
Starting point is 00:51:47 i feel like this episode should be sponsored by the suicide health yes please prevention yes can we then uh... gave his watch to one of the children and it is alleged pulled the gun on his wife though immediately he said he was fooling and gave her the weapon so that's just a move back then or is this the same one this is the same this is the they're covering the same story in two different places this store okay so this just jumped because the other story was that that that that
Starting point is 00:52:17 it didn't maybe happen and in the beginning of this story for the first part there was no mention of the fact that this guy was poison pounding No, yeah, no, not at all So now the placards yeah, who is this editor that let the same story go in both I got to say like we got to make room for the two pound Chihuahua caper I Gotta say this kind of happens a lot where they cover something and then cover another part of it in a different place Yeah, but like they do that in papers now, but they'll be like go to to a
Starting point is 00:52:48 Yeah, not not that they just having I already laid out the first page. I'm not going back. Yeah, but we're telling you that there's a big you need to finish this story Well, that's what page three is for yeah, but nobody's gonna know we're on page three. Well, that's why I put a three up top, smarty pants. That's it, open the window, I'm endin' this. Ha ha ha. I got another one. Ah, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, word of the day my paper is going to kill this whole god damn town alright uh... mister cambell and his excitement
Starting point is 00:53:27 exclaimed freely which alarm his friends and brought not a few people into the house from outside come on you guys the rest of you stay out however considerable effort mister cambell was quiet and doctor turner was called in an ametic administered an ametic a medic ametic I don't know some kind of medicine
Starting point is 00:53:55 administered and the patient's nerves became more composed so they gave him blues. I mean they gave him a shot or heroin one of the other He caught yeah, he calmed down after they brought in the opium. Yeah. Right. And like this, it's like a, it's like a, a St. Bernard with a, yeah, with a little bear. Yeah, it's a, a little white bag. There you go.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Yeah. Here you go. Drink from his junk, jug. Extended search failed to find any indication of the presence of poison Either within or without or without the suffer and this morning he was resting easy as expression is as the expression is Yeah, or report you put as the expression you have to put the as the expression is in the paper No, especially yeah, but it's also I mean not an expression and and then goes to his room to drink a bunch of poison as the expression goes. A report was current this morning that Mr. Campbell had taken another dose and had killed himself for sure.
Starting point is 00:55:11 This report was found incorrect. So some guys like, alright look, I know yesterday I was a little bit off, but today he definitely did it with the poison. He's dedicated. He did. He did. He did. Hey, Mrs. Campbell says her worst half. That's worse.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Wow. Finally. Finally. Finally. That's worse. Now is she saying that or is the paper just doing that? No, the paper's gotta be saying that. OK, so even the paper's like, look, we're pretty
Starting point is 00:55:45 over this dude to be totally honest. Yeah, that. At this point, let him go. We're starting to go poison me for this guy. Yeah, just put him in a room full of poison. See what happens. He's worse. Miss Campbell says her worst half has been greatly
Starting point is 00:56:03 troubled with heart and business cares. Sure. And poison poison. And he's having trouble passing poison through his body. We're starting to think this man might be allergic to poison. Hmm. Hmm. People are saying, sir, you allergic to any poisons. All. Oh, you're one of those. Okay. All right. We'll just think with medications. We we commutes this. Yeah. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All. All nuts or poison really gets me. Yeah. Yeah. Snake venom. I've never enjoyed. So there's just a little tiny blurb here. It is said that since 1893 there have been 40 bicycle deaths to every death from football. What? Who's doing that study? Well, don't worry.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Football caught the fuck off. In the future. Football is Listen bicycles. It's a marathon. Not a sprint. Come back for the year. Let's see. See in 150 years. You thought there were a lot of suicides in this God water Evans tough stomach there we go. Yeah, that's a name. That's the headline. That's not the part that's grabbing me Water Evans of Australia is in course. He's Australian. Let's go
Starting point is 00:57:44 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, you mean Australian. Let's go. Yeah, it's go You know, he's got as a like poison give it to me all of a bit of poison Yeah, I mix it with it. I know I wrote it. Lee this sounds a lot like my Michael Believe it's the same guy Right, so this is my Michael kind and he's a monster right. So they changed my Michael kind and he's his master. Yeah, it's the little like it's the same. It's the same for it's just a younger Michael Kane is my Australian. Cracking. Damn it. Dave. What? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're like,
Starting point is 00:58:15 Dave, how come I don't know you would do impressions, Brad? You just found out. They're all Michael Kite. And now, let me do my impression of actor Jason Stapham. I'm chasing Stapham. Wow, that's pretty good. It's pretty good. It's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:58:34 It's just, it's an impression. I'll check me out in the last Boston The Furious. Wow. It's really, it's shocking how good it is. It's pretty good here. Yeah, it is. Yeah. I could also do it and have no shit. Hello. I'm on Really good
Starting point is 00:58:50 Yeah, I was in the inspector gadget movie. It was caught in Paris. Can you do can you do Putin? Hold on Okay Um, okay. I'm got a beautiful country side you Craig. I think I'll have you Craig if that's all right with everyone. I stole Robert Kraft Super Bowl ring. It was very shiny and I wanted it so I love that. All right back to Walter Evans. Walter Evans of Australia is in Kansas City to undergo an X-ray examination to determine the amount and location of knife blades, rusty nails, chunks of glass and other material
Starting point is 00:59:54 which his stomach is supposed to contain. Okay, so this guy... That's a Gus Trillion. Yeah, right, yeah. Yeah, he's doing bets in the outback with the other guys in the bar. I was at the apex Tycast so My guess is he's someone who's for money is like I'm the human garbage. Oh, can I eat anything?
Starting point is 01:00:13 Yeah, oh no Interesting Evans is a follower of Henry Wolland who died at the city hospital there recently After surgeons had removed from his stomach several pounds of miscellaneous hardware and shelf goods So he's following guys like all you have to do is eat hardware and he's like god, I formally fan Ma Kuru I mean I's Niles This is a hard cult. Yeah Yeah, so what's the upside we get to bang a bunch of women. Now you're leading gloss. Yeah, you want to get closer to God. Here's a bucket of nails.

They found knife blades, resting nails, chunks of knives nice but the guy ate knives knives he ate knives why do i have a problem i only ate knives hey uh... can i go join the cult over there with with the wine and the heroms of

They're having an orgy over there. Stop looking at that cult. You know them. They're not fee to look at. Alright, we're all gonna have a look.
Starting point is 01:02:07 I'm telling you, the best thing to do, and this is the best way to live. Have another noise. That's not a noise. This is a noise. Eat it. Oh, God. You were way too excited when you thought that up. I can see it coming. Yeah. We saw added sold the bell. Evans, however, goes, yeah. We saw added solder bell. Evans, however, goes Wallen and one better as he swallows poison in large quantities. In addition to knives, forks, and other things.
Starting point is 01:02:33 All right, now, I understand they've read the complaints. Some of you are saying you've not enjoyed the edicts of this cult, which is why I've decided we are going to change it up a bit. Tonight, we're going to have knives screws nails glass all the regular, but we're also gonna wash it down with a bit of poison Are they thinking the aliens that take them away just gonna come with a giant It's like a looney to it's got to yeah, yeah, yeah, it's what are our our God while he Coyote one day want the great while he will come down and choose us

Starting point is 01:04:03 Yeah. Yeah. Ladies and gentlemen, the Prime Minister of us, he needs just that we decide on who's going to be Prime Minister. Pfft. Pfft. Evans thinks.
Starting point is 01:04:12 We have endorsed it. Daw, I know. Pfft. Yeah. Hey, Prime Minister. Evan thinks that several knife blades have lodged in his stomach and the X-rays will be used to determine just what constitutes the hard lump at his abdomen.
Starting point is 01:04:25 Why did he waste his day? Well that's a baby mate! I mean, it could be so many things, it could be knives, the nails, the glass. Look, I'll be, you know what brought me in here was a bit of constipation. I'll tell ya, I've not been able to pass one of these knives Is it weird that I'm also shocked not only by the guy that eats you know knives and glass But also that they had x-rays and eight yeah, I'm also shocked by that I'm also shocked by that that they were Again that they put it up there. So okay. A somewhat similar case has just come to a close in Georgia.
Starting point is 01:05:51 Last March a preacher was shot by a prominent farmer and soon after the preacher mysteriously disappeared. And of course the farmer was arrested and accused of murder. Recently, also a dead body was found buried in a hole on the accused man's farm and it was at once identified as that of the preacher. So far it's sound pretty. So they found the preacher's body on the guy's farm. Yeah. They're just walking you through this with some turns. We don't know it could be any. We're not sure. We're all mad. I don't know why you I don't know why you're pointing fingers. I don't know what could be any. We're all mad. I don't know why you're
Starting point is 01:06:25 pointing fingers. I don't know what that is. Some guys just some guys just die at holes around here with. I was trying to get a guy plant to grow. Guys don't get it. Hey, I didn't kill him. Last I heard he was joining some Australian cult where he and boy otherwise would have almost six useful members Wasn't me The grand jury found an indictment against the farmer and one of his farm hands But on the day they were put on trial the preacher put an appearance on the streets of the Day and still a body! There's still a dead guy that doesn't mean they're fine.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Well, this is like the credits, well looks like this all wrapped itself up pretty nice. No, it didn't! Yeah, there's a body in the trap of a woman. Well, I'll tell you, it looks like I owe you an apology, Jack. No! Guys, there's still a dead guy! And I'm still alive as the preacher. So it looks like every loose hand has been tied up pretty good.
Starting point is 01:07:32 They're just killing drifters at the bottom. We all go get a beer and some chicken tenders. No! On me! Uh, well, only if I could have a little holy water there,. It's a J- It's a shifter murder ground! On the next, everything wrapped up fine. Well done. Oh, shit, master living problems.
