Yeah, all right. The last 30 seconds of the round, I was in like a lazy leg lock. The guy had like, we're in the 50-50 position. I was completely out of it, but I was just kind of like chilling. You know, I knew I won the round, so I was like, fuck it, I'm just gonna sit on top, let the round finish out, but then he turned and started trying to punch me.

I was like, I bitch, so I came back in from my own ground up pound, right? And so I came in hard on my own leg and started ground up pounding, and it didn't get me from the leg lock, because when we got into a scramble and he tried getting back to his feet, and I tried staying on top, my own ground up pound, right? Like I actually am happy with the results. ACL would have been trouble. It would have been nine months, dude. You know, like I'm looking at three month recovery right now to like get back to good training, fight for the title of the game next year. But it's not, it's not, I don't mean it's not terrible because you're not, dude, you're not find a necker anyway. So no matter what, even if you were injury free, you're fine for the title next.

The only thing is sucks is going on vacation, gamping around or you know, show up that room. But that's why I got little rascals. Yeah. But there was a lot of self-fighter who was throwing him without just the knee. That's like that's the, I would have enough. Yeah, the higher, just they'll get into a fetal position. Did you feel any, you know, because Donald Cruz don't believe in ring rust, so many of these don't. I think it's real, but definitely listen to Donald Cruz,

And I just want just want to not have any addout in my mind going into that fight. My other thing is timing. You know, I'm so fast. If that was the one thing I'm going to say, I feel like, look, I thought you looked on

I said, but I felt like you were, you're only throwing ones and twos, where before you were a combination fighter, you're throwing threes and fours finishing with a kick to the head, you know, whatever it was, I always felt that that was like your whole MMO before. So then getting back into it, you were throwing a lot of ones and twos or occasional three, but you weren't putting it all together. You couldn't put it all together.

Yeah, so it could be, it could be. Very well could be. So he was in his moving, right? Like he's got very, I always knew going to the fight, he was gonna be a frustrating thing to hear, a great movement, he's gonna be hard to hit. And so, and then when I bust him idea, I couldn't cover the ground. I had to keep it in switches to try to cover the ground.

You know, I had to come out, south ball, I had to fight completely different, cut them off, right? And like, that's why, dude, if I would have had both my legs, those takedowns on it, I had his back would have been so much. He's like, I tried to lift in the second round, after I took his back,

and my knee just buckled and I was like, fuck man. That's the other thing is, he kept doing that, grandby rolling, giving you his back and I'm like, well, that's control. Like you weren't finished, take down, cause you're lagged. But that's just, that's control man.

There's a lot of what I talk with Big John about on our show is the rule system, in terms of the scoring. The control is valued at the least in terms of like the possession of. And then there's a damage in that round though. It's still valued though. It's still valued, but it's like here,

but if the damage is here, but if the if the damages here, but if damages here with damage here and actually trying to finish the fight though Is is like here if we didn't even get to that next category for sure So what they do is they don't even actually judge that but if they can't if they can't if they can't say all right Well, it's round two you can right but like one three and five if you're trying to figure out I damage pretty similar You know, then I'll try to control Well, then you can get to control. I'm gonna get forced into fighting guys, you know, not on the top 15, or it was like, I don't wanna say it was ranked like number 13 or 14 or something. For UTJ, is it guaranteed title shot? I mean, 100%. Yeah, I mean, I just, I just, I never won contender.

I wouldn't be doing it. You know, fucking coming off a two and a half year layoff. You got any thoughts on Al Jermain versus you. I think you see me Yon, for sure. There's a lot going on in that fight. First, Yon fucked him up in the first fight. Made him just quit and bow out. 100% illegal in the right.

So that's the way that goes. But Yon dominated the fight. Sterling just got next surgery, which I don't even know how he's going to come back from that anyways. It's a tough task for the alderman. Well, I'm doing a fresh, like I'm doing eight rounds, right?

And you're, I'm gonna a fresh guy in every round. So you're taking a round off and you're coming and sparring me. And I'm exhausted just from having an eight-week fight camp You know, I just train my ass off the day before yeah, I'm gonna fucking lose I'm trying to and if you're and if you're not losing rounds, you're in the wrong fucking spot Those are the raw those are the the worst type of like partners, too Like I saw what I trained for Nate. I had a guy who came in from Hawaii,

his name was Rambo, we call him Rambo. So he came in, he would come in the last round, stay in the fourth round or whatever, he'd come in the last round, and be like, start talking shit to me. Come on, his name's Rambo. He's like, but with the Hawaiian accent, it's like, oh, you speak of pigeon.
