This week on the Glass Cannon Podcast.
We are in a sticky wicket.
The ground splits open.
Oh my.
Oh my.
And from the earth bursts a hideous creature.
That is what you see, Baron.
Does that change what you want to do?
Yeah, it makes me want to go home and take a nap.
Run away?
Not a lot.
Della finds herself in an awkward situation.
Della, just for you, I'm going to go bite, claw, claw.
And if I hit two of the natural attacks, I'm going to go bite, claw, claw. And if I hit two of the natural attacks,
I'm going to go ahead and rant.
So diplomacy is out.
Sir Will goes it alone.
Be brave, Lexington. I will return for you.
And Nestor aims blindly into the darkness.
Natural one.
Street continues.
That's a confirmed fumble.
Oh, no!
The adventure continues. That's a confirmed bumble. Oh no! The adventure continues
now. What's going on, everybody? Troy LaValle in the house, and welcome to another exciting episode of the Glass Cannon Podcast.
We are less than one week away. This Saturday, July 15th, three more GCP-sanctioned events are going down.
First one is in Greensboro, North Carolina, at a gaming store called Geeksboro.
My man Kavon is heading that one up.
Make sure you check that out.
I don't care if you're a thousand miles away.
Make it happen.
Then, of course, at Portland Internetworks, my ladies April and Meg are in charge of what
looks like an amazing event. I really need an excuse to go to Portland, and this looks like
the perfect one. Honey, honey, can I fly to Portland this weekend? No? Okay, that's cool.
That one looks great. And of course, Natalie is rocking and rolling in Saugus, Mass. at Battle
Ground Games. Guys, if you're in the area, just make it happen.
I know everyone had a blast at the Lexington event.
It's just going to be a good time to play games all day,
make new friends who you already know have the same tastes as you,
in podcasts at least, if nothing else,
and then go out and have a couple beers or a couple of sodas,
a couple of pops, if you will, with some cool people.
Hopefully cool people. There might be
some uncool people. Please, don't come if you're not cool. All right, you can still come, but just
don't talk to anyone. Don't look at anyone in the eye. Honey, you sure I can't go to Portland? No?
All right, that's fine. What else is going on? This Wednesday, July 12th, I'm going to be a guest
on the No Direction podcast, K-N-O-W. That's going to be going down at 8.30 on their Twitch channel.
So make sure you follow them on Twitch and come check me out.
We're going to talk Pathfinder.
These guys run an amazing live podcast every week talking all Pathfinder stuff.
You're going to want to check them out.
And you definitely want to check them out if your old buddy Troy is going to be bebopping and scatting with those crazy guys.
So please check that out.
be bebopping and scatting with those crazy guys. So please check that out. That's this Wednesday,
July 12th, 8.30 p.m. Eastern Time on the No Direction Twitch channel. I'm going to host it on our Twitch feed as well. So just be there. Come say hello. Come chat. Maybe there'll be
some questions and answers. I don't know. But we're going to be live. Anything could happen.
Anything could happen. Anyways, as usual, I'm long-winded when I'm trying not to be.
So let's just jump right in to episode 111.
Episode 111.
Bug-ane out.
You know what we haven't done in a few episodes, guys?
I feel like we haven't done it in months.
Enjoy ourselves?
Get out.
Have a good old-fashioned combat.
It has been at least one episode since that happened.
We got one week off.
One single shining moment of peace in a sea of vicissitudes.
This is just an awful place.
Yeah.
Who knew the Dark Passage would be scary?
I know.
But yeah, here you are.
You hear yelling down the end of the hall.
I mean, do you guys think, let me ask you this.
Don't answer because I know you've read it.
Do you think that you are nearing the end of the Dark Passage in the middle?
Or like, it's just getting started?
I think that we are near the end, near a way out, at least one direction out.
That's what I think.
Do people agree, disagree, Graham?
Middle-ish.
Middle-ish.
End of the middle.
66.666 repeating.
Write that down.
Okay. Matthew? Middle-ish. Middle-ish. You still do juices this week, Matthew? 66.666 repeating Write that down 66 Okay Matthew
Middle-ish
Middle-ish
You still do juices this week Matthew?
No that's done
I feel like every week
You do juices
Thank you
Thank you for caring
But no that's done
You look very svelte
I was saying
Of all of us
You really need to be the one
Cleansing
You don't know me
You're impure
And what was your answer?
I wasn't listening.
Middle.
Middle.
Move on.
All right, so middle for Matthew.
I got a middle for Grant.
Joe says...
I think we're towards the light.
Light at the end of the tunnel.
I think we...
I have no concept at all.
And I think we maybe should have tried to find out a little bit more
what was going on here before we came in.
It's tough when you have all those different ways to go and you're kind of losing track of cardinal directions.
Let me ask you this.
Does anyone think that you're going to eventually go down to Passage and just come right back out at the cathedral?
I don't know.
We didn't see another exit on that side.
I guess, I'm guessing it's under the mountain. We could also end up in
that weird work
room place that had all those dwarven
runes and the Ash Peak name
on it and stuff like that. Oh, that's true.
Oh, maybe that's all connected.
Yeah, maybe. Or really
far away. Or we could just end up in the Darklands. I was gonna
say, maybe this will go straight to the Darklands.
And you'll just meet a family of
drow.
Who is playing Umlo this week?
Grant, you played it the last two weeks.
Are you rocking Umlo for three in a row
or does someone else want to?
I can do it.
I can do it.
I kind of like you playing Umlo.
I can do it.
But I'm not going to lie,
you're hogging the Umlo.
You're hogging it.
That's okay.
I'm fine with it.
It's fine.
I don't think anyone wants to play Umlo.
Well, you said specifically,
we emailed about it,
and you said that you are,
you like exploring his dwarfishness more because of the reading that you've done on dwarves.
That's a role-playing exploration you wanted to do with Umlo.
Yeah.
And I'm just so bad at it because I haven't read as much as you about the dwarves.
Let's be honest.
It's all about how well you roll as Umlo.
Yeah.
We've got to take him away from you.
We know this is a combat week, so I'm not controlling him.
On weeks where you play him, Joe, you should just role play him and let them do the actual role.
Fair enough.
Just toss it around, all three of us.
All right, so you come up to this cavern.
You decided to continue what you assumed was forward.
Well, it's forward.
It was forward.
We were facing forward. You walked it's forward. It was forward. We were facing forward.
You walked backwards
into a cave. Well, technically
there's no facing in Pathfinder, so who knows
which way is forward.
You meandered along until it
opened up. You see two
huge columns
formed from, what I say,
grayish-white calcite.
Calcite, thank you.
formed from, what I say, grayish-white... Calcite.
Calcite, thank you.
While the walls and ceiling have a somewhat natural appearance,
yet again you see more of this newer work being done
because the floor has been hewn and leveled.
I said the air was damp,
moisture collecting on the walls,
forming little pools around you.
And I saved that,
I saved this just for this week.
If you were to just look up for a second,
anyone with dark vision would see
hundreds upon hundreds of bats
clinging to the ceiling,
forming a living carpet that constantly moves and shifts.
Oh, I can picture it.
See it?
You see it?
Has anyone ever been in a bat cave?
I have not.
I have.
I have not.
I have.
Where?
Austin?
Colorado?
Yeah.
In Colorado and in Texas.
They come out from the highways in Austin.
Yeah, they live under the bridges.
I've seen the darkness.
You hear a voice behind you yelling out in giant.
Yelling for Hurag, who you thought you killed.
Yelling for someone named Grumchog.
Intruders!
If we were able to sneak underneath the bats
without having them attack us
and get to the other side of this,
considering you said they were behind us,
we could have the upper hand on the jump on them.
I don't know how we get through with someone like Sir Will,
who's louder than two rats, you two rats in a sock in the summertime.
But if we could
somehow get over here and have them
have to go through those bats haphazardly,
I think we could kind of get the drop off.
Well, this is the issue, Grant. What is
the danger? Is the danger
the bats? Is the danger
the sound that sounded
like it was coming from behind you?
Is the danger something else in this room, something in the next room?
You don't know.
But what I know is you've got to roll for initiative.
All right.
You've got to start somewhere.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yes.
Remix. All right. Dbo, Rick-a-bo. Rick-a-re-mix.
All right.
Della, what you at?
16.
16 for Della.
Baron.
Baron has a 17.
Baron has a 17.
Always one to one up Della.
Sir Will.
21.
21.
Sir Will on fire.
All right.
Coin?
20.
And Omlo. Omlo has a
six. Ah, that's why I left him at the
bottom of the tracker.
Uh, okay. Very
interesting. I kind of like the
way that this all shook out.
That bodes well.
Just cause I want to see
how the team
handles this.
We are now moving in initiative order.
You are at the edge of this new cavern,
cavern number three so far that you've come into.
You had a tough battle last night.
Nestor is, those Etten fleas are really getting at him,
so he's taking a minus two to everything except they see.
Right.
And now all of you, with the exception of Della, are infested.
Round one.
You don't even know what you're fighting.
Sir Will.
And we heard this behind us?
You heard a voice behind you.
Way down the cavern behind you.
You heard a voice behind you.
That way down the cavern behind you.
Sir Will is going to hold.
I'll hold.
Sir Will will... The proper term is delay.
Delay.
I will delay my action.
Fan delay, industries!
Nestor Coinage.
He looks over at Sir Will and says,
and you want to be my latex salesman.
And he's going to try to stealth into the room.
Double move.
Okay.
Roll a stealth check.
Okay.
Do I get minus two to stealth too with the fleas
yeah it's all skill checks
it's the worst thing ever
seventeen
seventeen
I think you have to roll that a million times
for all the bats
alright so you want to stealth into a room
and if you step far enough away from Sir Will
you can kind of hide in the shadows.
Right.
But when you step into the room, something sees you, or you see something.
There are creatures behind these things here.
Oh, what?
Oh, dear.
I don't know if you can quite see them yet because you don't have dog vision.
I don't have the dog vision anymore.
Well, I will say this.
They see you.
Okay.
And that's all that happens.
And it is
Baron's turn.
Baron's going to double move into the room.
Baron, just double moving.
Side to side.
A little bit of space.
Keeps a little space from Nestor.
Okay.
And does he, can he see what is, what Darkfisher?
Roll perception.
Oof, not good.
It's like a 19 or a 17.
17. You do see bodies in the back of the room.
No, it's a 19.
Yeah, you see bodies in the back of the room
behind these columns, but
you don't quite know what the plan is.
And I alert the rest of the party
as to their presence.
In case Nestor did.
Della!
Della's going to cast Haste.
Nice.
Everyone within range. Everyone's within going to cast Haste. Oh, nice.
Everyone within range.
Everyone's within 30 feet of each other.
Okay, Haste. Haste makes waste of episodes. I am looking
forward to actually contributing to this combat.
Can Della see
into the cavern at all?
Can she see what Baron was just referring to?
You got 60 feet, right? Yeah. Roll Perception.
19. 19. You see creatures in, right? Yeah. Roll Perception. 19.
19.
You see creatures in the back of the cavern as well.
I know.
But they're just kind of like waiting there.
They look to be big creatures?
They look to be big creatures, but they kind of like blend in with the rock.
So it's very strange.
They look like they have rock bodies.
Rock lobsters!
Sir Will, anything you want to do?
No, I haven't seen an enemy combatant yet.
Okay.
You hear from the back of the room.
Umlo.
Excuse me.
Umlo's going to join his brethren.
He's going to kind his brethren. Great job.
He's going to kind of take a front-line stance.
And can he do a perception check?
Oh, Della was going to move up just to be next to Sir Will, by the way, so... Can he do a perception check?
Sure.
Oh, boy.
That's, like, still not good enough.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
That won't be good enough.
Explain to our listening audience the sort of layout of this room.
We have these two pillars made out of calcite,
behind which two creatures, we don't know what, humanoids presumably,
are standing behind.
We have Nestor, who brazenly, but with malice,
moved towards both of them.
He's kind of splitting the difference.
He's about 10 or 15 feet away from the two of them.
And immediately to his right is Umla, ready to strike.
Behind him, cowering like the coward he is, Baron Redheart.
Those two pillars that you have.
And then 10 feet behind Baron, Sir Will and Della side by side.
Holding up the rear, guarding the rear.
I said pillars, but really stone columns.
Like stalactites. To your left, but really stone columns. Licks to legs.
To your left, you'd have to squeeze through to get by.
There's an open space in the middle,
and there's an open space on the other side of the right one.
But to get to the other side, you can only go through the middle of the right
unless you want to squeeze past the left.
And you do see the cavern exits on the other side,
all of you, those of you with dark vision.
Round two.
Do-do-do, do-do-do, do-do-do.
Comes back to Sir Will.
Sir Will, he's going to ready an action.
Pretty okay.
If he sees an enemy come into the range of a charge,
he's going to charge at an enemy with his Highbury Lance.
So basically behind us is most likely where that would happen if it did.
So he heard voices back there.
If anyone shows themselves within 20 feet, or actually because he can see beyond 20 feet, but just dim light or partial light or whatever, he'll be able to see them.
But, yeah.
Alright, so if you see a creature that is within
charging range, you're going to charge? Yes.
Okay, you've got...
Do you want to step into a better position?
Because you've got all your party in front of you.
I've got five minutes left.
I can't do that.
So, I thought something
might come from behind us. Oh, you're talking about behind you.
Okay.
But if something came up right here, I could do it.
Okay.
All right, Nestor.
It's a very weird situation.
What's happening?
Yeah, that's why I'm not committing to anything just yet.
No enemy has shown themselves.
Diplomacy?
Oh, is this the time for diplomacy?
And who better to do it than Nestor?
Nestor's actually going to stealth again and double move over right to around the side of the pillar to our left.
And wait there because if these are giant creatures, I don't think they'd be able to squeeze through the other side,
so I should be able to see where they're coming and shoot them from behind.
Smart. So Nestor takes cover.
And that's 19 stealth.
19 stealth.
Okay.
Okay.
Baron.
Baron wants to run a knowledge nature on the bats on the ceiling to see if they pose any threat or anything like that.
Okay.
Okay.
Seven.
They're bats.
You see hundreds of hyenas.
They're mammals.
The cave ceiling is covered in hyenas.
They laugh at you.
A lot of people think.
It's so weird.
I'm standing behind Joe and Skid,
and you both have your GCB shirts on,
and it just looks like an advertisement.
God, what's going to happen?
Baron is going to move up ten feet to be hugging the side of the other column,
pillar, whatever it is,
and he is going to enter total defense.
I figured you'd say enter a rage.
All right, so Baron comes up to the opposite pillar from Nestor
and just kind of, he's not really hiding per se,
but he's back there, total defense.
He's a pretty good line of sight right here.
I mean, does he see anything right here?
Oh, there is pretty good line of sight.
And I will change my action if I see something that changes.
Ah.
Ah.
Oh.
Oh. Oh.
We call that retconning your own turn.
Well, you shut a line of sit in there.
Okay.
So you see that creature on the TV.
Oh, my.
Oh, my.
Oh, my.
You see one of those right there.
You have the mini for it, too.. You have the mini for it too.
I do have the mini for it.
Yeah, there's no way it's coming around the other end.
You see that right there.
There's also no way it will be defeated in combat.
Yeah, there is that problem.
That looks like some variant of a troll.
Look at how...
He's rocky.
He's made of rock.
Awesome it looks.
He's got like gems for teeth.
Does his belly look anything like what was thrown at us when we walked in?
No, no, that is just a big, fat rock belly.
That is what you see.
Baron, does that change what you want to do?
Yeah, it makes you want to go home and take a nap.
Run away?
Not a lot.
I'm going to stick with total defense because they're going to come out.
Okay.
You sure he's about to throw a rock?
You sure you don't want to?
You sure you don't want to?
I'm going to wait for them to get close to me.
He's outside of my range increment.
I'd like to hit this giant creature against his touch.
Oh, my God.
Delinar.
I say Del doesn't see this, right?
She knows there's her hulking creatures hiding behind the comb.
Della's gonna cast...
This thing is horrifying.
Displacement.
Nice!
Oh, multiple Delas?
Or is it just like you never quite know where she is?
It's not really multiple.
It's kind of like a potion of blur.
It's like a shell game.
20% mischance.
I appear to be two feet away from my true location.
So you have a 50% mischance on anything.
50% mischance.
Yeah.
That's way better than blur.
Yeah, it's a third level spell.
She's a displacer beast.
I like spells like that, Dylan.
No bottle caps.
That was one of my new third level spells.
I took this level.
Okay.
Nice.
What do I want to do here?
All right.
Let's see.
Let's see.
Let's see what we see.
I've got to think this through.
You guys are so good at this game.
I really want to murder you.
So diplomacy is out.
Non-lethal.
Okay, this one. Let's do non-lethal damage Okay, this one...
Let's do non-lethal damage against the rock creature.
Sees you, and it moves back.
Oh, crap.
Oh, wow.
That's even worse.
Moves back, just moves back down the cavern.
At that same time, you see another one.
Oh, maybe we're not supposed to attack it.
Maybe they're just residents.
Yeah, as I'm saying, can we talk to them?
You see another one.
You can try.
They look evil.
They do look evil.
They do look malicious as well.
You see another one poke its head out and then poke back.
So it kind of peeks out and then hides behind the rock again.
Alright.
You just need to charge into the flank situation.
It is Umlo's turn.
Umlo is going to
kind of
sneak
over here.
Around the other side of the pillar.
Around the other side of the pillar.
And he'd like to stab at whatever it is.
All right, he's around the rock there.
Yep.
So he can't really attack in melee around the rock.
Oh.
So many attacks.
Umlo just moved 70 feet.
30.
30.
Okay.
Oh, that's right.
He's 30 now.
But he's still too close.
Crap. Yeah. Crud. All right, he's at 30 now okay but he's still too close crap yeah
crud
alright he's gonna move
into the middle
umlo has me chilled
umlo is standing
between the two pillars
no
blocking the way
oh my god
I don't know what he's gonna do
he's gonna stand here
come on
let umlo do whatever he wants
umlo doesn't bow down
to anybody
he's gonna brace
so umlo braces in case they charge even though they look like they're retreating Come on, let Amlo do whatever he wants. Amlo doesn't bow down to anybody. He's going to brace.
So Amlo braces.
In case they charge, even though they look like they're retreating.
And they have stones in their hands.
Oh, wait, he's hasted, though.
What are they talking about?
Holy moly.
Yeah, you can get wherever you want.
Holy moly.
Ah, Jesus.
So I have 60 feet total.
This is impossible.
These two reach creatures to get in a position where you'd want to attack them.
Can I attack from there? Sure.
Hold on a second. Aren't trolls a giant subtype? Yeah.
Sure. So he has to roll.
Oh, nice.
So on this one. Whatever these
creatures are, they are of the giant subtype.
Will save? Yeah. That's a 12.
Is that a d12 that you rolled?
You rolled a d12. Oh, that
20.
So he's compelled to attack one of these trolls.
Am I raging now?
That's our house rule.
That's right, you're raging.
Excellent. So much for now.
Now diplomacy is right out.
No.
It's right out.
Time to attack this gentleman.
All right, so Umlo goes to attack.
Ooh, gentlemen. Alright, so Umlo goes to attack. Ooh, there you go.
26, 28 against the giant
suit. That is a hit.
Heart spit.
Heart spit.
Heart spit.
Oh my gosh.
Two ones and two sixes in succession.
So 14 plus 13. 27 points of damage for
umps i can't believe that double one double six nice work buddy uh all right sir will
so still nothing has come from behind us nope can i do a perception check to see if that's
not gonna happen like sure but If I don't hear the sounds
anymore or anything? 20, even.
20. You don't
hear anything back there.
But the source of the voice
was behind it. Uh-huh. It could be a trick.
Could be a trick. Right.
It certainly could be.
Okay, Sir
Will is going to ride up
into range of the rock troll that Umlo hit from the other side of it and do total defense.
Sir Will rides up to the other side of the right pillar, goes into total defense.
Yep.
Ten feet away from this giant rock creature.
Umlo. and Lexington.
Feel the ground beneath them start to give.
Oh, man.
Way.
Oh, gosh.
Roll a reflex save.
Lexington and Umla.
Why did I go there?
All right.
Here we go.
Not using that d20.
Let's see.
Reflex.
Oh, no.
You have to be shitting me.
Oh, no.
16.
16 reflex save, eh?
What about ums?
Oh, um, um, um. What was that
d20 you just rolled? Nine.
Oh, dear.
You both fall.
Oh, no. For fuck's sake.
Umlo and Lexington.
Do you want to roll to stay in the saddle?
I'm sorry, 15, but I still don't think...
If Lexington falls, you both fall.
Alright, so
Umlo, you take... You fall into a spiked pit.
First of all, you take 12 points of damage, and then the spikes go to attack Umlo.
20 to hit Umlo.
Yes, that's it.
Because I'm raging.
Let's see how many spikes.
Two spikes hit Umlo.
You got the falling damage, right?
Yep.
For nine more points of damage, and Umlo is prone.
Is this an actual trap, or is this just, I mean, is he falling into a pit of stalagmites?
It's a mechanical pit trap.
Oh, it is, okay.
Yeah.
Of despair.
And Lexington and Sir Will fall.
I think you both take the damage.
You can roll to stay in the saddle if you want.
Nope.
How's he going to stay in the saddle?
Alright, so you both take...
Alright, so Lexington takes 13 points
of damage.
Stay in the saddle until he hits the ground.
Lexington takes 13 points of damage.
Sir Will takes
7 points of damage. That Will takes seven points of damage.
That's just the falling damage.
The spikes go to attack Lexington.
23.
Miss.
Oh, okay.
The spikes go to,
I mean, I say the spikes go to attack.
It's really just,
are you landing on spikes?
28 on old Sir Will.
The spikes,
only one spike impales Sir Will
for four points of damage. Oh, man. on old Sir Will. The spikes, only one spike impales Sir Will for
four points of damage.
Umlo and
Willy down in the pits!
Did anybody think
when they saw these stalactites, like,
this could be another crap room? Nope.
Well, and I thought that there was going to be something fishy
because they were all pulling back, so I know they wanted to
draw us in there.
So you guys are 30 feet
down, and it is
Nestor's turn.
So with haste...
Great haste.
He's gonna move
behind
the pit that
Sir Will just fell into.
And he's gonna take a shot at the rock creature behind the pit that Sir Will just fell into. Uh-huh.
And he's going to take a shot at the
rock creature standing on the other side.
Okay.
Can you see?
From the light that soared down the pit?
Yeah, I mean, that's 30 feet.
How deep is the pit?
30 feet.
Okay, well, it's still dim light, so I take minus two.
20% mischance, right? Yeah, I think it's 20% mischance. Okay, well, it's still dim light, so I take minus two. 20% mischance, right?
Yeah, I think it's 20% mischance.
Okay.
So, Deadly Aim of Gaults.
They study Talgion.
And this one has been hit by Ops.
Natural one.
Oh, no.
The streak continues.
Oh, no.
Confirm the fumble with a minus two.
That's confirmed fumble.
Oh, no!
Oh, no!
But the good thing is it's a fan fumble.
Fan fumble!
Grant just took his headphones off and started shaking his head.
This literally makes me want to quit.
This is horrible.
If you're using a ranged weapon, it goes through your eye and you're permanently blind.
Roll a d10.
D10.
Five. Five.
Five.
Okay.
Jesus. Matthew from Edmonton, Alberta.
Oh, a Matthew that likes Canada.
Thanks. Matthew likes Canada.
Thanks a lot, Matthew. This one's
in the back.
Make one ranged attack
against the closest ally. Oh, well. Make one ranged attack against the closest ally.
Oh, well, that's actually...
Oh, so it's just straight down to Sir Will.
Yeah.
Or Lexington for that matter.
Oh, no!
I think Will would probably be closer.
All right, so I'm going to take Deadly Aim off.
And it's a ranged attack, so just roll the attack roll.
Maybe the fleas will help you in this sense.
No, make an attack roll.
Make a ranged attack.
Oh, I thought that was automatic.
I mean, yeah.
28. Damn it!
Second time Nestor's hit a friend.
It's like the fifth time.
That's true.
Two.
Ten points of damage.
Question. Does my total defense carry over?
On the fall, 30 feet
Sorry mate
How much damage?
10
10
It was 10
It just like shot
Right out of the bow
Straight down into the pit
Sorry, that was an accident
By the way, I don't know if you felt it
But 3 points of that was electricity
It hurts, doesn't it? I'm hurt very badly I don't know if you felt it, but three points of that was electricity.
It hurts, doesn't it?
I'm hurt very badly.
And Nestor, you moved into position there, right? Yes, so I cannot do any more attacks.
Baron.
Thank God.
Baron is...
Is there anything he can do to assist Umlo out of the pit?
Or just too deep?
It wouldn't make any sense.
Where am I?
Yeah, but then I'd have to go in my backpack.
It would be a big to-do.
Okay.
Then no.
Okay.
So I can take one shot at this cave guy from where I am.
Okay.
Looks pretty clear.
Clear-ish.
Uh, uh, uh, uh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. Let me just turn off my rapid shot. It looks pretty clear. Clear-ish.
Let me just turn off my rapid shot.
So you're taking one shot?
One shot, and I'm going to get up close and deadly.
Okay, okay.
Actually, hmm.
Nope, you said it.
Yeah, that's fine.
Oh, my God!
Oh, no! Oh no!
It's like your first time rolling die, and it's a natural one.
Oh my god. This is like a trick shot in billiards.
Like, Krantus dropped his 45-pound red 20-sided die onto two other dice that flew all the way across the apartment, and it landed on a natural one.
So did the D6 that he hit.
One of them landed on the mixing board.
The other one, I'm pretty sure,
landed in one of Troy's cat's mouths.
So hold the phone here.
This is a misfire and a possible fumble.
Roll to confirm the fumble.
23 against that, Jason.
Okay, so not a fumble, just a misfire!
Oh, man!
We're on a winning streak.
I'm going to go ahead and...
I'll wait on the clearing it,
because I can't attack him.
Della.
That's my turn?
That's your turn.
It is Della's turn.
Della.
They still get grazed for the precision damage.
Sorry, I gotta remember that.
On a misfire, too?
If it misses at all.
So four points of precision damage
if they take that.
We are in a sticky
wicket.
The passages are
clogged by pits and people.
People and pits. People and pits.
People and pits.
Della is going to
start moving around
on the left-hand side of the column.
She's going to eventually
try to squeeze past
that other column.
With hasted movement,
how far are you going to get, Sean?
I may have to double move,
so it's 120 feet.
Oh, yeah.
Then you can...
Do you just want to get
right up close
to the other creature?
Yeah.
For the squeezing?
Well, what's squeezing?
Move half speed through the squeezing?
Yeah, minus 40 or AC, I think.
I would like to emerge from the squeezing if I can.
Well, you're going to provoke...
That would provoke an attack.
50% mischance.
Squeezing is a...
You get a grip point.
If you emerge...
If you are still squeezing, it's a minus 4 to hit and a minus 4 to AC.
If you emerge from the squeezing, you'll take attack of opportunity.
Attack of opportunity.
She emerges.
Roll 50% mischance after you do.
After you hit.
After you hit.
Don't tell me what to do.
Don't tell me.
Don't tell me what I can't do.
Natural 20.
Watch.
Don't talk to me or my son.
Here comes.
Neon green is due.
Here comes the bite.
It is due, but it's not a 20.
It's a 26.
Roll 50% mischance.
What did I just tell you?
Do what you want, as long as it involves you.
99.
That's a miss.
Because little known water higher, that's a miss.
All right, so it bites you for...
House rule.
How the house rules.
Hey, that's just how it...
I thought that was implied.
14 points of damage. I thought that was implied. 14 points of damage.
I thought that was implied.
But you do get up in the business.
Swift action along the way.
Keenan shocked the symptom.
Behind Grant.
Oh, come on.
I'm not on the board.
It's Barron.
I'm serious.
Behind Grant.
I looked behind Grant.
Oh, my God. It's I'm serious. Behind Grant. I looked behind Grant. Oh, my God.
It's Brian Posehn.
Behind Grant.
He's finally heard from...
There's a picture of two cats.
From under the ground, a creature emerges underneath behind Grant.
Oh, my God.
And looks.
Why are you so dead set on killing the party?
Like this.
Oh.
Whoa.
That's a mole. A mole rat. It looks like a
mole rat. And a troll
and a rhino. Yeah, it looks like
a mole rat had sex with the
rhino from Spider-Man.
It emerges underneath
and goes to gore.
Baron.
Ooh!
24.
To gore. Is it giant? Baron. Ooh. 24. Tagore.
Is it giant?
It is...
Giant subtype.
It is not of the giant subtype.
That's it.
It is a large, monstrous humanoid,
and it does 11 points of damage,
and you feel as if that's the least of your problems.
Let's see here.
All right, rock troll on the other side of the pit.
Needs to get at Nestor, but there's just too many pits in the way.
What is the deal with all these pits?
Let's deal with the one that's going to try and kill Dells.
We're going to go...
Del, just for you, I'm going to go
bite, claw, claw.
And if I hit two of the natural
attacks, I'm going to go ahead and rant.
That's if you... Your attacking creature
looks like it's two feet away from me.
It takes five plus seven.
Bite number one.
Sixteen.
Miss. Nice. Claw. 16. Miss. Miss. Nice.
Claw.
Oh.
23.
Uh, hit, roll your, roll your, roll your concealment.
Oh, I forgot about this.
This little cave painting fight all over again.
Miss.
Uh, 37.
Yeah.
Sweet.
So we will not.
No rent town.
No rent town.
Uh, and then a hit on the left.
Well, let's see.
We're not going down to Rintown.
And then 85 on the confirm, so you only got hit by one claw for 13 points of damage.
With so little healing.
Every point is so precious.
Would you cast displacement?
Yeah.
That's huge.
I mean, if that negates five out of ten hits, that's going to be really big.
All right, so now the one that Nestor's shooting at, this is a real pickle for it.
You think you're in a sticky wicket.
He's in a sticky wicket.
You think he's just going to stand there and take arrow shots from this guy?
So he is going to come over here and attack Della as well.
So they're just going to gang up and try and kill Della
while the other creature kills Baron.
First, oh, I can only do one attack.
Natural one.
Yeah!
They're not super smart.
They have a five intelligence.
Bumbo! To confirm.
No. Maddie 15.
Not confirmed, but a miss.
Roll concealment.
The creature that attacked.
Baron attacked. Those two guys attacked.
Bums?
It is Umlo's turn.
What can he do? He's down in this hole.
What can Umlo do?
So can I attempt a climb?
Climb check of some sort?
Sure can.
All right.
So I've got to stand up from prone as a move action, right?
Right.
And then you can move quarter speed.
So you can go seven feet.
Okay, so I'm...
Oh, you've got haste though.
He's hasted.
Yeah, so you can go 15 feet up.
Climb.
Okay, so I'll climb.
What's your climb speed?
Or not climb, skill?
30.
No, but what's your climb skill?
Oh, it's plus one.
It's terrible.
Oh, you actually get to roll.
Just make sure you roll four or higher.
Yes.
All right, so you move fifteen feet up.
Halfway up the pit.
And it is the following round.
Sir Will in Lexington.
You are off Lexington two combats in a row.
This is awful.
Awful.
He's just going to...
Surreal's going to stand up, right himself.
He'll look at Lexington and just say,
Be brave, Lexington.
I will return for you.
And start to climb the side of the pit
and almost certainly slip immediately and fall back down.
Here we go. I don't know what the DC is.
Are you keeping that secret? Five. Oh, it's DC
five. Yep, DC five. Okay, so it should be alright.
Okay, so that's a nine. So he
makes progress. You got
haste. You got haste.
And that what? Doubles my movement speed as long
as it's under 30? Under 60.
Under 60?
So I got up and then, yeah,
and I move a quarter of that speed.
So I move five feet.
15 feet.
15 feet.
It's the same as what I'm...
Well, I got up.
Yeah, that's okay.
And then I move 40 feet.
I'm sorry, 30 feet doubled
because my movement speed is 15 feet.
Oh, okay.
Oh, your movement speed.
Because I'm a halfling in heavy armor.
So you've got a long way to go.
Yeah, so five feet.
But, I mean, next round I'll be able to move further if I succeed.
I should technically be out of there, right?
Because I have, oh, quarter speed, quarter speed.
All right, so he starts climbing up in heavy armor.
That's rough.
Nestor, go on.
When you have 12 strength.
So Nestor saw that rock thing go away.
He says, I guess you got bored of me,
so I'm going to take a five-foot step,
and I don't know how well, if at all,
I can see this mole thing.
Oh, because of the light situation.
The light situation.
Yeah, it's just going to be, what is it,
20% or 50% mischance?
20 for dim, 50 for darkness.
50% mischance.
Okay.
I'm going to do a full attack.
I've got deadly aim.
Skip.
Skip.
Why don't you crit it?
I'd like to.
I'd like to.
Give us an overall sanction.
Crit.
Natural fucking 20. Natural fucking 20.
Natural fucking 20. He called it 20s. Natural fucking 20s.
He called it, mate.
His small face.
His small face.
Yes!
Confirmed.
Okay, but now I have to...
Here's the worst part.
I gotta confirm.
They're immune to criticals.
No, no.
No, I got the concealment.
The concealment.
It's a 50% miss.
Yes!
90!
96!
All right, that is a confirmed...
Yeah!
Get out of here. Wow! We're going to the fad that is a confirmed. Yeah! Wow!
We're going to the fan crits, bro.
And that's with the mini shot.
I mean, that's huge.
That's huge!
Oh, my God!
I can't believe you actually did it!
Fuck yeah, man.
Roll a D20.
That happens a lot when you're like, you need to crit.
Crit!
To the fans to see what happens.
Number seven.
That's Jared T. from Katy, Texas.
Or Katty, Texas?
Katy.
Katy, baby.
From Katy, Texas.
Han shot first.
You catch the target completely by surprise.
Double damage and plus 2d6 sneak attack damage.
If you can already perform a sneak attack, the 2d6 is stacked on top of your sneak attack damage.
Jesus.
But I mean, it's not a sneak attack, so you just get the plus 2d6.
Oh, right.
If you were already getting a sneak attack, it would.
So double damage on the many shot plus 2d6.
And is many shot multiplied?
That's not considered persistent damage.
No, I only get a crit on one of the two arrows.
I see.
All right.
All right.
Get out your calculator.
Literally 40 to 45 seconds.
Yeah, yeah.
We need to have
like an elevator music
dance.
Live?
Yeah.
Exploding dice?
We don't get
exploding dice.
No, only if you
don't make it.
But yeah,
that's great though.
Oh, wow.
I rolled two eights.
Two eights?
Troy's face is not happy.
I really wanted this guy
to lay out some pain.
Wait a minute.
It's double damage.
So isn't that triple damage?
Because it's an arrow.
Yes.
No, you're right.
It's triple damage
plus 2d6.
All right, so that's
16.
And a one.
And a one. Okay.
79 points of damage.
Look at his face!
79 points of damage?
How is that humanly possible?
Arrows are so deadly when they crit.
They only crit on a natural 20 and they do triple damage.
This creature is so fun and he is now so dead.
Oh, yes!
You know what?
One shot.
After not getting a single shot off the entire last combat and almost dying, this is better.
Wow.
Wow.
You know what?
It's not like you did anything to earn it besides having great luck on your side.
Right. But this bottle caps for you.
Oh yeah. I mean you just saved
Baron's life literally.
Unconscious and around. I'm picturing this just like
in total blackness. Just like
talk the bow straight. Boom.
Boom. Right in its fucking head.
Yeah and this thing doesn't, didn't see you at all so
like this this uh crit was perfect right you know like yeah yeah you caught the target completely
by surprise yeah because i'm around the corner and then i just sprung out and boom two right in
the two arrows right it's a creature known as a bug ain't you ever heard of that a bug-ane. You ever heard of that? A bug-ane? I'm probably pronouncing
it wrong, but you killed it.
Yes!
Talk about it on
cannon fodder. I don't care.
Baron,
you're up, and you will not provoke
using a ranged weapon.
This will actually make my move
a little less cool, because I was planning on doing it
while he was alive. Do you want me to bring him back up there?
Nope.
Just for you, bud?
Nope.
Nope.
I'm going to jump over the pit.
Oh!
What's your acrobatos?
Plus 11.
That's going to be automatic for you, buddy.
Yep.
And I'm going to shoot this troll right in the back and say, go back to hell where you're from, you son of a bitch.
That's just mean.
You don't even know where he is.
I'm from Detroit.
That's a hit.
Same thing.
Yeah, exactly.
20 points of damage.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
So many.
Man.
28.
20 points.
So you jump over the pit in like John Woo style.
Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.
And a bunch of doves fly in a bear's ass.
They're actually bats.
Bats.
All right, Della.
I don't know if they know where we are.
I'm in a stickier wicket because now if I take a five foot step, it doesn't provoke at all.
Five foot step will never provoke.
Five foot step towards the creature that I was originally trying to come up with, not the one that attacked me.
Not the one that Baron just shot.
And I'm going to do a full round action spell combat.
Oh, boy.
Not spell strike.
And I'll cast a spell at the end of my attack.
You do what I tell you to do and like it.
Now, remember, Della is right next to both of these creatures
in both of their reach.
So this is...
Just try and imagine this, if you can,
while she's rolling, what this looks like
if this was a live action movie.
Yeah.
Like Della just surrounded by these
rock trolls. Flaming, shocking
scimitar just like swinging wildly
at them. I'm scared!
18 to hit.
18 is a miss.
Second attack on my full bonus.
This one has not been touched.
20 to hit.
That is a hit. Yes.
Hit number two. Oh my god, we are rolling insane damage. That is a hit. Yes. Hit number two.
Oh, my God.
We are rolling insane damage.
20 points of damage.
Whoa.
Two fives and a six on the 3D6.
Third attack.
Weren't you going to do a spell?
Miss.
Now I'm going to cast a spell.
What?
I'll roll concentration.
Explain to me, even with haste, how you can make three attacks and cast a spell.
I have two attacks.
Normally, haste gives me a third attack.
But you can cast a spell. That's another standard action.
Spell combat lets me do it as one full
round action. All of your attacks, the normal bonuses
are minus two, and then
you cast a spell.
Normally, I do it in front of it.
Normally, I say shocking grasp,
and I'll swing. But you can do it at the end.
I think it adds up. All right, what do you got, Della?
Well, I got to roll concentration. That'll be a fail. But you can do it at the end. I think it adds up. I think it adds up. All right, what do you got, Della? Well, I got a roll concentration.
That'll be fail.
But I get a plus 13 to this roll.
What's the DC?
The CMD of the creature, right?
No.
Oh, no, I'm sorry.
It's DC 15 plus double the spell.
I'm casting defensively.
I get a plus 15 for DC 17.
Oh, okay.
But I get a plus 2.
Actually, it's automatic,
because with improved spell combat,
I get plus 2 to my concentration.
Oh, there you go.
It's automatic.
It's 15 plus double the spell level.
Right here.
Cast defensively is 15 plus double the spell level.
So DC 17.
Okay.
And you're automatic.
Automatic.
Nice.
Good build.
And Della vanishes.
Yeah!
Perfect!
Oh, okay.
Awesome.
Okay.
Now, if they attack in that spot, what is their mischance?
50%.
And you already have displacement, but those don't stack.
Right.
Now, you know, this, I figured this guy might swing by the 50% mischance, but the other guy just got shot in the back.
He might change around.
Who knows what he's going to do?
Okay, all right, all right.
Also, they're not that intelligent.
They might get freaked out.
So you took your 50% mischance and just made it more.
50%.
More 50%.
Yeah.
Okay.
Give me all your bottle caps.
I think that was a silly use of that spell.
I think they have a low intelligence.
If I just vanish, they might...
Who knows what they're going to do?
It's true.
All right, all right.
Unfortunately, Troy has a predictive score of 24.
I just think you already had a 50% mischance.
Why cast something that gives you the same exact mischance?
Do you know what I mean?
I don't know that a non-intelligent creature would think,
like, ooh, it's not there anymore.
I'm going to swing at the exact spot and see if I can hit it
because it's only a 50% mischance.
How intelligent do you know these things are?
No, I think a non-intelligent creature is more likely to just swing where you just were.
Right.
That's a matter of interpretation.
Or think it's not there anymore.
Or that it just disappeared.
Now it's their turn.
And you were correct in one sense, that
the one that just got shot at
will step up, I believe
five foot
step, full attack action
on Baron
Narn. Ten feet reach? Is that your name?
Last name? Baron Narn? Yes, we got
married. I took her name.
Ten foot reach. Bite, claw, claw. Twoarn? Yes, we got married. I took her name. Ten Foot Reach.
Bite, claw, claw.
Two of them hit.
We go to Rentown.
Nobody wants to go to Rentown.
Bite number... Bite.
19 to hit.
Miss.
All right.
We need these claws to hit.
Come on, baby.
Give me a claw.
92.
Yeah.
All right.
Maybe we get one.
No trip to Rentown.
One claw off.
All right.
27.
Man, they just couldn't get it done.
Max damage. 13 points of damage on that final claw,
which is just more of a pain in the ass than anything
when you have one charge left on that wand.
Right.
And then the other one...
The other one is just going to aim for that space.
I mean, it doesn't...
I see what you're saying, Della,
but it just doesn't make sense that it wouldn't...
It doesn't have to.
You know what I mean?
It can swing right next to it.
Oh, the reach is...
It's a natural attack.
Yeah, it's a natural attack.
So it'll attempt to bite, miss, claw, natty one.
There we go.
That's what you get.
Flavor-wise, maybe it did work.
And to confirm, not confirmed, fumble.
Roll the 19, and then last claw, 20. And to confirm, not confirmed fumble. Roll the 19 and then last
claw, 20.
Miss. So miss, miss, miss.
So it works out in the end.
It's just wildly groping at the air.
And now it's the Bagain's turn. Oh wait,
it's dead.
You know what I was going to do? I was going to have it
burrow under the ground
and appear in the pit with Umlo.
And eat him alive.. And eat him alive.
And literally eat him alive.
How horrifying.
That would have been horrible.
Can't do anything. Or inches way over to the pit with Sir Will.
Go in there, rip Sir Will down the wall
and just maul him.
But now I can't do anything.
So it is Sir Will's turn.
Sir Will will attempt to continue
climbing the pit. Looking for handholds.
He is climbing the pit!
All right, so DC five.
Natural 20.
Oh!
There we go.
And you've got haste, so are you...
How far up do you make it?
So with haste and a double move, that's 45 feet and a quarter of that.
So 25, you get the rest of it.
You're up.
You're all the way up.
No, it's a quarter of that, so it's another 10 feet.
10 feet.
Another 10.
Oh.
11 and a half.
So I'm 15.
I'm halfway up the pit.
Halfway up the pit, sir.
Well, and Lexington's just staying down there?
I think by the core rules, if you roll a natural 20 on the climb, you get an extra 20 feet of climb speed.
I think. I think.
That is true. I remember reading that. Pathfinder Unchained 2.
Still Unchained. Rules by Joe.
Wait, wouldn't Lexington try to climb up himself?
Does he have a climb? I told him to stay.
You told him to stay to save him.
Alright, Nestor Coin.
So, the hasted Nestor
fears, I'm back in the game, baby.
And he comes around.
Who needs dark vision when you can see it?
Yeah, and there's still no light up here, right?
There's no light on the side?
Right.
Okay.
So he's going to take a single attack in total darkness.
The only light that's actually emanating,
and you see a little light coming from the pit where Sir Will is climbing up.
What about those weird gems on their arms?
Do they illuminate any light, maybe?
No.
Not by luminescence.
No, it's a miss.
Natural two.
So Nestor gets up to the edge of that pit
that's in the middle of the two columns,
shoots at the one that just attacked Baron and missed.
And he says,
I could use a little light if anyone's got any.
Baron.
Ten feet away from this thing.
Within its reach.
Okay.
Well, I think I'm going to shoot him.
Okay.
That will provoke, I believe.
Unless you can take a five-foot step.
It gets you out of his range.
Dunzo's.
He can.
Okay.
Five-foot step into the pit.
Twenty against touch AC.
Hit.
Eighteen points of damage. Yeah Hit! 18 points of damage.
Yeah.
18 points of damage.
Ooh, misfire.
Misfire.
Oh, man!
Misfire!
No!
That gun is in rough shape.
Yeah, man.
Okay.
God, I want to fire again.
Oh, I want to fire again.
You got dragon spread.
Do it!
You got dragon spread!
Can I drop it
and quick draw my dragon spread?
You cannot!
Oh, well, no,
not in the whole video.
Full attack. Yeah, I will. Gosh dang it, guys. Come on, man, You cannot. Oh, well, no, not in the full attack.
Yeah, I will.
Gosh dang it, guys.
Come on, man, shoot.
Shoot it.
No, I'm not.
Shoot.
Everyone at home is being like, try it.
Just do it.
Yeah, it definitely puts you at disadvantage if you don't have that gun, but that means
you have to come to terms with dragon spray or another weapon.
Or you have to make a gun.
I would have to.
What I really need is to.
You know what it would do?
It would make things way more interesting.
Just skip it.
That's why you shouldn't do it.
That's how you got me to break my last gun.
That's true.
That's true.
Okay.
So that's it, Baron?
Before I move into Della?
That's all I can do.
I already moved.
I already...
You sure you don't want to fire?
Yep, yep.
I'm good.
Good, good.
All right.
Check a Della.
Okay.
You're going to cast Invisibility now?
That's good.
That's good.
Displacement.
Vanish.
Invisibility.
Mass Invisibility.
I have 150% mischeck.
Did we skip Umlo, by the way?
I go after you. It goes Ad Did we skip Umlo, by the way? I go after you.
No, it goes Della then Umlo.
I know, but I got my first climb check before Sir Will ever did.
We did skip Umlo, so just get him out.
All right, so I'm up and I'm right here.
Yep.
So Umlo's up and out, but we're moving ahead to Della.
Della, invisible, is going to sneak around the back of the two trolls.
You know what? That will get you, Della.
It won't provoke.
So that was.
It's almost as if I was thinking ahead.
I don't want to give you that much credit.
Now she has a straight line between her,
the first troll, and the second troll,
and then the pillar.
And she's going to cast a little lightning bolt.
Oh my god! Shades of the Odie mage! and the second troll, and then the pillar. Oh, shit. And she's going to cast a little lightning bolt. Oh, my God.
Shades of the Oni mage.
Oh, fuck yes.
Drink your devils up, kid.
That is, you learned this from Pembroke, right?
I had it already.
You had it already.
From the Oni mage.
This is from drinking the blood of a demon.
Yes.
Right.
Yeah, remember that time?
Yes.
Oh, sorry.
I just got to look it up.
There was some controversy regarding it. Yeah, remember that time? Yes. Oh, sorry. I just gotta look it up. There was some controversy
regarding it since I read it.
Some controversy.
Controversy.
What do you have to look up?
Damage.
I think it's 1d8.
Well, first you've got to type
Pathfinder.
It's 1d8 for level.
Rules for stud poker?
I think it's 1d8 per two levels.
1d6 per level.
So it's 6d8.
Yeah, 1d6.
6d6.
6d6.
And it automatically hits so you've got a reflex save for that. Okay. And it automatically hits and you get a reflex save for half.
Okay.
And they both get hit.
Does the pillar get a reflex save?
No.
All right.
What's the DC of the reflex save while you count all 90 of your die?
It's a third level spell, so what?
DC 17?
17.
Okay.
So the first one up front, natural 20.
Okay.
The second one behind fails, 12.
Adjust it.
28 is full, so 28 and 14.
Nice.
Wow.
Well done.
Well done.
So the one in the back falls.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, nice.
In the pit.
But they probably have regeneration.
And then the one up front, this is the first time it's been hit.
Takes 14 points of damage. Oh, it hasn't been hit. Which one then the one up front, this is the first time it's been hit. Takes 14 points of damage.
Oh, it hasn't been hit.
Which one?
That one up front.
The one closer to Della.
Yeah, the one closer to Della.
That one takes its first points of damage.
Can I roll a knowledge check to see if there are trolls and they have regeneration?
Sure.
What is it?
Arcana?
Knowledge local.
It's going to be knowledge local.
The humanoids.
21.
21.
They sure do have regeneration.
And because you hit the DC by more than one, I'll tell you that acid or sonic damage is the only thing that can end their regeneration.
Oh, not fire.
Yeah.
Do we have any acid?
I can do acid, but not a lot.
Acid splash from the Inquisitor.
Oh, yeah.
Nice.
Nice.
I will share this knowledge with you.. Nice. Nice. Let me just...
I will share this knowledge with you.
Before this guy attacks, let me just regenerate him real quick.
And then he is going to five foot step.
And you're no longer invisible.
Nope.
I still have displacement.
Displacement.
You still have displacement.
How long does that last?
One round per level.
Okay.
Come on, Natural one.
You know what? Putting on Power Attack.
That's gonna make it harder to hit you, but
I'm using old Neon Green.
I haven't rolled a 20 since she came back
into town. I don't know if you know that.
Bite!
Oh. Displacement?
Displacement!
Displacement!
Gah! You ruin everyone's fun!
Uh, Displ Just placement 42.
Yeah.
Damn it.
Awesome.
That was going to be 1d8 plus 11.
All right.
Claw number one.
Come on.
Hit on these claws, baby.
Hit on these claws.
16.
Miss.
Yeah.
Gah.
Whatever it says, I'll take it.
Oh, natty 19.
All right.
So that one will hit.
Well. Well, let's see.
52.
Just a hit.
1d6 plus 11.
14 points of damage.
Okay.
Oh, I still want to rend.
Why can't I rend?
He wants to rend so bad.
Especially rend with power attack.
Just...
By the way, the Bagain, if he rended, got a free trip attack to knock you unconscious and stun you for a while.
So cool.
Guess they'll never know, though.
Maybe later on you'll come to another cave and a Bagain will come off the wall and fight you.
We'll see.
We'll see.
Umlo.
Umlo is going to come to the aid of his
blue haired friend.
And stab in the back.
Flanking.
Giant subtype.
Something we all know Baron can't do.
Not giant subtype I thought.
Son of a gun.
No it is because they're trolls.
Two hit.
24
to hit.
24 hits.
Tell, how much damage did you do?
28 and 14.
14.
So 14 to this one.
He is saved, I think.
Yeah, this guy's saved.
He took 14.
Yeah, 14.
Because I misspoke.
I was looking at the wrong one.
He had been hit before.
Oh.
Good.
Okay, so four damage.
21 points of damage.
You get your sneak attack?
Oh, excellent.
Oh, yeah.
Good job.
2d6, right?
Sneak attack and range.
29 points of damage.
Yeah.
29 points of damage altogether?
Yes, sir.
Well done, UMS.
Awesome.
You know, when you give him a chance, sometimes he works out.
Has the music gotten faster?
Picking up tempo.
29 points of damage.
It is Sir Will's turn.
Sir Will will keep trying to make progress.
And he makes it.
Another 10 feet.
Chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug, chug.
Nestor coin!
Low.
You gotta be out of there now, right?
No, I'm at 25 feet.
Holy God.
I'm a halfling, man.
Hey, man.
Did this troll, the dead troll,
did it actually fall into the pit?
Yeah, definitely fell in.
Troll, I'm assuming you rolled spike damage and everything cool all right three moving on now how much how
far down the pit are you now i'm five feet from the edge i'm like right right near the edge so
can this be i'm like baron help me so we'll be up could this be considered dim light now
rather than complete darkness because he's so close to the lip of the pit
With the light source
No, I don't have the light source
You don't have it?
No, because it was my spear, my lance
And I'm climbing with two hands
Well, I'm just going to take a full attack
And which one are you attacking?
The one that's still standing
That is a 32 to hit.
That is a hit.
Roll for miss chance.
50% situation.
Miss.
Miss.
All right.
Second full attack.
It hits.
Yeah.
All right.
That one's going to go through.
All right.
So that's
Uh
15 damage
And final attack
Oh that haste
22
Alright oh if this hits
No
46
Darkness
Darkness is spreading
Baron
Baron is going to reach into his little bag of tricks,
his little bag of Inquisitor tricks.
Little bag of juice.
And he is going to use a standard action
to cast Acid Splash on the troll.
Oh, man.
Like a first-level wizard.
Which one is he casting?
The one that's down or the one that's up?
The one that's down so it doesn't get back up.
Yeah, that's a hit! And then let's say... it doesn't get back up. Yeah, that's a hit!
And then, let's say...
It doesn't matter, but...
Yeah, it's done regenerating.
It is done regenerating.
It is unconscious and dying.
Well done, Grissom.
All right.
I'm going to move to back up my boy, Umz.
Sir Wills, right by the lip.
He's like,
Oh, wait, Baron!
And he's just like,
I'm going to help my man, Umlo,
and just runs out of sight.
You just see like
a Roadrunner-style smoke.
Della,
ten feet away
from this creature
that Nestor just hit.
He shot three hours.
They looked like
they were good,
but only one of them hit.
She's like dodging out
as they fly by.
And you also know now
that they have regeneration.
Della's going to take
a five-foot step.
Actually, no.
So she's going to do spell combat, and she's going to cast the spell first,
and then take the five-foot step and do the attacks.
Okay.
So the first spell is going to be Acid Splash.
Yeah.
It's Concentration.
Yeah.
I got it automatically.
That's automatic.
That's right.
That's right.
It's a zero-level spell.
Natural 19.
Oh, Critical Threat!
Well, yeah.
No, it's not.
Oh, no.
That's up.
Yeah.
All right.
So Acid Splash hits.
It's 1d3 points of damage, right?
Yeah.
So, two points of damage.
More importantly, it ends its regeneration.
Yes.
Five foot step, three attacks.
Yeah, baby.
First attack.
24 to hit.
That is a hit.
10 plus.
14 points of damage.
Nice. You know what? Save your other two attacks
Yes!
Yes!
We have triumphed!
Moments later Sir Will climbs out of the pit
I'm like I'm ready
Point me to danger
So now Lexington we've missed it
Nestor whips around
And like
Slams his back
Against the pillar
To see if those
Voices that we heard
Coming from behind us
Are ever gonna show up
Yeah
He's got like the arrow
Trained down the dark hall
Yeah trained down
Down the dark passage
Okay
Roll perception
Uh
21
Nestor
21 21. Nestor. 21.
21.
You hear breathing.
And then you hear...
Running in the opposite direction. Oh see you next week oh what does that mean
