Was that considered a vacation?
I mean, of sorts.
It was an interesting vacation.
I was just getting my laptop fixed after Joe spilled Jameson on it on it took a while that's that's what apple camera's taking fucking forever so you know i couldn't really pod but my keyboard works that's good
that's good to hear well i'm glad they fixed that yeah yeah and i wasn't gonna reach out to you
about do you send the invoice no i did not i did not but. But it feels good to be back in the basement, man.
I haven't seen Savon in a minute.
Seen Scream Man, E, Rem.
Still haven't seen Cherzy.
I don't know where he's running around.
He's hiding somewhere.
Park's got a whole bunch of outdoor furniture while I was gone.
Vibes.
Summer vibes.
We did some musical chairs and didn't even talk about it.
I'm sitting on this side.
It feels odd.
I'm a lefty.
I don't really like it.
But, you know.
Well, I'm a lefty. I was over like it but you know well i'm a lefty
and i was over there ambidextrous when i bought
no we did talk about it actually right we talked about it before you guys left uh when i consulted
with everybody i was like yo man erickson is something going on the cameras over there i think
rory looks prettier than me okay and erickson lied and said that going on with the cameras over there. I think Rory looks prettier than me. Okay.
And Erickson lied and said, that's not true.
The cameras are the same.
And then I watched some game film.
And what do you know?
That is why you look prettier.
It's here.
The color is in the back.
It's a different thing going on right here.
That's my skincare routine.
That's what that is.
I'm sure I look fine on whatever angle it is,
even though E has made me
look bald and old
for years.
And then I looked
in the mirror and said,
hey, Rory,
maybe it's not E.
Maybe you're just
bald and old.
Yeah, man,
you go through your IG
and think that's
what you still look like
and it's like,
oh yeah,
that was in 2018.
You don't look like that
anymore.
I do need to go
give a nice thorough
delete to some IG pictures. I do. Because I don't want to misle. I do need to go give a nice thorough delete to some IG pictures.
I do.
Because I don't want to mislead the people when I go out.
I don't look like I was when I was 27.
You two look in great shape.
Yeah.
Like you guys really hit the gym this month.
Like, what happened?
Don't look me up and down when I come back.
I have more time to you know work out and diet
shit like that
that's it
you look good
thanks man
appreciate it
you got the cut
I got the cut
you got the cut
yeah man
you inspired me man
yeah
yeah Parks looks like
a whole new human being
yeah
I feel like a whole new human being
alright
well yeah
where are we again
I haven't seen you
since that text
when I was in la guardia
well i've always wanted to say the floor is yours and i feel like this is like the only
opportunity i'll ever get to do that well we can we can start in the beginning i mean you and i
spoke before you uh oh let's start from the beginning at the top of the list situations like this go hip-hop
uh well you and i spoke right before you addressed uh address the listeners without us and it was a
quick combo i just said you don't get crazy and we'll be all right wasn't mad at that addressing
but uh but yeah i guess i guess we could start when I'm walking through LaGuardia Airport minding my business, you know, with my notifications on.
Get a text message that reads, hey man, do me a solid.
Take the next few pods off.
I said, question mark.
Joe then says, exclamation point on the statement.
I already know what time it is when a man
puts the little emoji thing
over his own statement.
So I know the spice. And you know, come on,
I'm about to get on Spirit Airlines.
I don't need that type of karma in my life.
You're already paying for baggage.
Yeah, it's crazy.
I'm paying $2 for peanuts and a water.
No fucking way.
So I land and
some things transpire over the weekend.
Some,
some misunderstanding,
some,
some assumptions,
uh,
some ideas,
some,
some male ego happened,
some prideful things,
some things were said that were meant,
some things that were said that were not meant.
And I just stay in Atlanta.
It's a good place to hide out.
Let things boil over.
I went,
I went to magic city. I went to Magic City.
I went to all these other places that looked like they had
COVID.
There you go. I was really irresponsible.
Magic City. I was really, really
irresponsible, so me trying to be
the responsible person was like, well, I have to quarantine
here for two weeks now. Obviously.
And we can mask this as some
podcast beef while I
stay in Atlanta.
But from there, I understand that a conversation was had in the backyard and only one side was told.
So I'm not going to speak for people.
I was not present for that.
But I believe that did start somewhat of the spiral and build up from where we've gotten.
So that portion, I'll leave for a second and then come back to my story.
Just trying to go in chronological order here.
Parks, you were there for that conversation.
Joe was there for that conversation.
Mo was there for that conversation.
I was not there for that conversation.
And the few pods I did watch when we weren't here,
that word transparency just kept getting
thrown around constantly.
So I feel like we should
try to stick with that theme
because there's always
three sides to every story
and different interpretations
of what happened
and things of that nature.
And, you know,
I figured we could start this pod.
We don't have to make it super lengthy,
but I think people have some questions.
Sure.
And we were quiet
when we were trying to figure everything out
because when you jump the gun
and do all that corny social media shit,
all you're doing is being entertainment
for the rest of the world.
They don't particularly care.
Not at all.
They just want to see a bunch of people
bicker online for their own entertainment
and then move on to the next time
someone else puts their personal life out there
so they can bicker about it and laugh.
We did not feel like doing that.
So we decided to keep quiet in the midst of it.
But we're here now.
And some things have been addressed.
Some things have been, I think,
talked about, dealt with.
Clarified.
Some feelings.
Maul, myself, and Joe met last week.
It was a lot of grown man feelings.
It was a little uncomfortable.
It was a little...
And I'm not saying the word edit.
It was a lot of feelings for three grown ass men
in a living room
maybe necessary
but I think uncomfortable
for all of us
because we don't express
ourselves as men
especially with friendships
not at all
we just know how to argue
with our significant other
we don't really know
how to argue with our friends
we barely know how to argue
with our significant other
let's be clear
yeah we're handicapping that too
but
but yeah
I'll leave
that timeline to you guys for that specific part.
Well,
okay.
So after,
well,
you text me when,
uh,
when Joe sent you the text and said that,
um,
well,
you sent me the screenshot of what he said.
And then we spoke and I was like,
what is that about?
And he was like,
I have no idea,
whatever,
whatever.
And you know,
from there it was just like,
all right,
whatever.
So then Joe calls me and he's like,
yo,
what you doing?
I was doing some shit.
And he was like,
yo,
like,
yeah,
come to the crib or whatever.
But it was one of those weekends I was doing shit.
You were looking at apartments,
I believe.
Yeah,
Jersey was just,
Jersey just seems so far away when you got shit to do in the city.
So I was like, damn, I don't think I'm going to be able to
get out there, but alright.
So then I come in Tuesday
and
so me and Joe start talking about everything.
And so we go
in the backyard after we had
a brief talk upstairs.
And that's when he asked you
to come outside. Yeah, I came out to try to mediate he asked you to come outside. Yeah.
I came out to try to mediate.
Did not go particularly well.
Yeah.
And, you know,
things were said that I wasn't too fond of
that I don't take lightly to.
Especially coming from people
that you call your friend.
Like,
certain things you don't say.
Certain lines you don't cross
with friends. And me personally, your friend like certain certain things you don't you don't say certain lines you don't cross
with friends and me personally i was just trying to figure out what the tension was like what was going on for him to feel like texting rory yo don't come in right and i wasn't going to record
without rory like this is to me that's corny that's like if we go somewhere and they say
everybody but savon could come in and we still
go in.
It's like, nah, we out.
We all leaving.
So I more so was like, listen, if there's something going on with you and Rory, I think
we should all sit down and talk about it.
That turns into a whole different conversation.
And then things are said, and then at that point it's like, all right, well fuck this.
And I'm like, I'm out.
Because at that point it was disrespect. And I'm not going I'm out. Because at that point, it was disrespect.
And I'm not going to stand in disrespect with my niggas.
I don't get down like that.
I'd rather just remove myself.
So that turned into no communication at all for me.
I wasn't speaking to nobody.
I was talking to Rory every now and then, every other couple of days just checking in but then it just felt like you know it wasn't a
sense of urgency to kind of correct things at least that's how I took it so I was like all right
well then you know it's gonna fold out it's gonna unfold how it's gonna unfold like eventually
things get talked about and you know we'll sit down or whatever. But, you know, sometimes you got to let time pass and let things happen in order for that to happen.
Sure.
So, to me, the one thing I took from it, it was a lot of things that was revealed in that for me.
Like, just paying attention to actions and, you know, things that people were saying.
Things that, you know, there's a lot of people that expose themselves during that. And, you know, you read a lot of things and it was just fun
reading like a lot of the, what people thought was going on and what people thought was happening.
Like that was just like, oh, you know, you laugh at it, but it was just, it was telling for,
you know, when you start to see some people say things online and some people saying things and
other conversations with people, it's like, like, oh like oh okay i always knew you was a fuck boy but i didn't know to what
extent people saying things in other conversations to strangers or to just well just to people in
general not necessarily strangers but not like people you really i really know i don't really
care people that you thought maybe wouldn't Speak this Speak this way
People that
You know how you
You know how you know people that
It's like
We cool
But we ain't fly like that
You know what I mean
And in passing
They'll say things like
Yo you know
Y'all keep doing your thing
And this that and the third
And
Soon as they see
Try to get like you motherfuckers
Yeah
Soon as they see the first sign of
Shit not
Working out Or shit going left, you know what I mean?
You start seeing people say things and you're like, damn.
I mean, I never really fucked with you like that, but now I really don't.
You know what I'm saying?
You're invisible to me at this point.
Right.
And that happened to a lot of people from just me watching.
I'm sure.
And just seeing things that was being said and watching how people were acting and it was like
you know you start to realize like this this this industry this this this field that we're in is not
for people that are cut from a certain cloth man not at all it's just not because niggas don't have
morals niggas don't have integrity niggas don't have morals. Niggas don't have integrity.
Niggas don't, you know, they do anything for a click or like to make it seem like they know somebody or they fuck with somebody.
It's like it was just real weird to see that. I always knew it.
But to see it unfold was just like, this shit is corny.
You know what I'm saying?
And I'm thinking about it like because I know what's really going on.
you know i'm saying like and and i'm thinking about it like because i know what's really going on i'm like no this is real a real issue amongst like a crew of guys guys like friends that that
built something together and now it's like you know it's it's just a bump in the road you know
i'm saying and it's like okay cool like we'll deal with it when we deal with it but to see how
certain people were reacting from that things that they were saying i was like oh yeah like this is
why i don't fuck with people and this is why i'm like i stated myself a lot i don't really like
being the mix because y'all sit here and act like y'all fuck with us and y'all do this and then the
first sign of you know turmoil it's like oh yeah them niggas yeah i knew that shit wasn't gonna
work here i knew them niggas was finished there's a lot of that and it's like yo fam what are you
like huh there's a lot of people praying on the like yo fam What are you Like huh There's a lot of people
Preying on the downfall
Of the JVP I'm sure
No absolutely
Of course
But I knew that
Right
But to see it from certain people
Yeah
To me was like
Damn
Like you too
Like I actually give you
Dap in conversation
When I see you
You know what I'm saying
Like it's like
Oh okay
So now I really gotta become
Like the nigga that walk in the room and
make it awkward and don't talk to nobody because all of y'all are fake and all of y'all are secretly
getting on your hands and knees praying that shit don't work out and for me it wasn't even about
like i told no joe and rory i was i wasn't it wasn't so much about coming back and potting for
me you know i could i love it i love what we do i love what we built and and all of
that but to me it was more so like yo is this still respect as friends here like fuck like
performing and entertainment like right as friends is it still respect here right because if it's not
then let it be that and we can go our separate ways as men and you know it ain't it's not enemies
we're not enemies but we just we don't bang like this doesn't work yeah so it wasn't you know on one hand it was like damn i felt bad reading shit
from fans saying like damn you know y'all are part of my life like i subscribe to this like
you know so it's like damn like you feel bad about that and like i said when we go on the road and we
meet people we hear stories and you know you remember that this this podcast changed their
life absolutely so so you thinking
about that and i'm like damn i want it to work but more importantly is it still respect amongst
us as men and that was my only thing like when we had a talk at joe's house it was like yo listen
the business is the business you know i'm saying like we can we can fix that or we can't but as
long as respect is still in play,
I, as me personally,
I feel like anything can be resolved.
Absolutely.
But if there's no respect,
then there's nothing
to talk about.
Like, I don't even,
and that was the part of the
conversation me and Joe
had when I left.
I felt like there wasn't
any, and you was there.
Yeah.
And I was like,
And I can understand
how you felt that way.
Yeah, and I'm like,
wait, what?
Like, okay, like now
I don't even know
what's going on. Yeah. So let me just like remove myself because Let things cool off like okay like now i don't even know what's going on yeah so let me just like remove myself because things cool off yeah like
i don't even know what this is anymore like i don't know if i'm talking to my nigga or i'm
talking to some nigga that i just met like you know i'm saying so now it's like all right let
me just leave this alone and let it play how it's gonna play but you know the more important thing
is you know as as men you just sit down and you talk and you get your feelings out and, you know, you express yourself.
Yeah, I felt like this or I felt like that.
And, you know, in that conversation, you start to figure out like, OK, I see where I could have, you know, maybe said something at this time and address something.
And maybe it wouldn't have translated over into something else.
I think you and me are kind of similar in the stance that sometimes we'd rather just walk away.
I don't know if it's like a Libra thing or something.
I don't want to get into astrology or anything.
But instead of addressing some shit, sometimes just be like, fuck it, I'm going to go over here and just chill out for a little while and, you know, let's see what happens.
Well, you know what it is?
Me, personally, man, I'm just, I'm more so of, I observe, I'm observing.
And I watch people.
Niggas can say anything.
And I'm just a witness to this.
People, they'll say anything.
But when you watch people and you just observe them, you'll see exactly what's going on and who they are.
So a lot of the times where I'm just quiet in the room, it's just me observing and just watching people, mannerisms and things that they know, how they treat other people, how they talk to other people,
what they say about people.
Because I'm like, damn, if you say that about this person and they're not around,
I know I'm being talked about when I'm not around.
You know what I'm saying?
You just observe people.
So sometimes you need time to step back and just let things happen in front of you
and just watch.
And this is shit that we talked about.
You know what I'm saying?
And like I told Joe, I felt a way about him having, and this is no disrespect to ice or or ish like at all but
i told joe when we was at the house i said yeah i felt some type of way about you having somebody
some other people come on the show it could have been anybody i didn't give a fuck who it was it
could have been starsky and hutch i don't give a fuck who it was like i just it it feels a way
because i know how I move
And I wouldn't do that
I would be like
Yo nah fuck that
We shutting shit down
Let's fix this
Let's get this right
If we can't
Then we can move on
But my priority would have been
I'm fixing this with my homies
Because this isn't right
And we gotta fix this
And in that
If you can't fix it
Then so be it
Okay
But
You tried
Right you tried But I felt the way about that Because I'm like Well damn Like my phone worked And then that, if you can't fix it, then so be it. Okay. You tried. Right. You tried.
But I felt the way about that because I'm like, well, damn, like my phone work.
I know Rory's phone work.
I saw y'all.
I was here when he called you out back.
It was maybe a week after the blow up.
And it sounded like things went kind of well.
You know what I mean?
Like I said, it was never, I was never upset about anything.
Like I said, that conversation in the backyard just revealed a lot.
You know what I'm saying? And I was like, damn. All right. said, that conversation in the backyard just revealed a lot. You know what I'm saying?
And I was like, damn.
All right, well, cool.
Let me step away.
But then, like I said, once I see things moving in a way where it's like, because to me, that's
saying something when we built something together and we have an issue and then you tell one
of our co-hosts, yo, listen, don't come in.
I'm like, well, damn, that's something I think that all three of us should have sat down and talked about before you made that decision.
Sure.
But okay, cool.
You was in the moment.
You was mad about something.
Cool.
I get it.
I know how that goes.
But after that, like, I understand the whole the show must go on thing.
I get that.
That's my next question. But my thing is,
does the show go on without trying to resolve
something first?
Or does the show go on
after you try to resolve?
And you seem like,
all right, this is just,
we're not going to be
on the same page.
We're not going to be
on the same chord.
Cool, let's just go
our separate ways.
We're not enemies,
but it ended.
Cool.
That happens.
I'm fine with that.
Yeah.
But I felt some type of way about that
because to me it's saying something you know i'm saying it's saying like yo you're replaceable
and that may be listen i'm i'm nobody you know i'm saying like i don't i don't ever look at myself
as bigger than nobody or less than anybody you know i'm saying so yeah you can get somebody to
sit here but my thing is as a friend it's certain ways you handle things you know i'm saying so yeah you can get somebody to sit here but my thing is as a friend
it's certain ways you handle things you know i'm saying like when there's years between you
and somebody it's certain ways you handle things like you go about things a certain way you give
people that certain respect to be like yo listen let's try to fix this and if we can't
then we go our separate way which is i'm totally i've done that before plenty of times like you
try to fix it don't work out, move on.
But to me,
that was saying something.
It's like,
you would rather put two people in these seats as opposed to trying to fix
what happened and moving on.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
And maybe that's just my thinking,
but I know how.
I think the thought process was part of my interruption,
uh,
was while things are being worked out, let's continue potting and, you know, ice and ish.
But to me, but to me, that's not that's not how you do things.
That's not how you do things, because in doing that, to me, you risk a lot.
You risk a lot. You know what I'm saying?
And it's like, one, you risk what the show is and what people have come to love and come to support.
You risk that.
And if it works, it works.
Fine.
That's not.
I'm just saying, why gamble with that?
It's my thought process.
Like, why even gamble with that?
Why even try to make that a new optic for people out of nowhere?
You understand what I'm saying?
Like, to me, that's just what I was thinking.
But okay, cool.
I get it. Pod, me, that's just what I was thinking. But okay, cool. I get it.
Pod, record, do your thing.
But to me,
I would never do that.
Like I would shut everything down
and be like,
like I said,
because it's not like
we're just some random people
that just met,
you know,
at a game or something
and just decided to do something.
Like it's friendship.
It's years here.
It's history.
It's real life shit
that niggas have went through together.
Six weeks would have been a long time to not do anything, by the way, though.
Who said it had to be six weeks?
This could have been resolved in a week.
It could have been resolved in two weeks.
I think the time was a little important just because the blow up definitely happened as a mix of all of us kind of reacting off emotion on certain things.
So I wasn't mad at some time passing before we continue to react off
emotion time like but i will say that conversation three of us had at joe's house last week
it was a pretty fucking easy conversation like it wasn't crazy it did make me think man maybe we
could have done this shit like three weeks ago but i do like the process of all right maybe
everyone kind of need to step back. Oh, yeah, looking back.
It was kind of like when you go get an oil change and then you find out everything is wrong with your car.
And it's like, all right, we have to fix this part.
Let's fix this part.
Let's take this moment to really get this shit back together.
And even on a chemistry level, too, because, I mean, this show is based off of actual friendship between all of us.
Yeah.
So if that's fucked up, there is no business to begin with i mean there'll be there'll be a
business but it won't be as lucrative or successful right so yeah did did i understand joe's text
sure him and i had tension i listened back to episodes it sounded fucking horrible
sounded like shit the last month was bad we didn't seem like friends it was trash
now is there a way for us to go about that,
in which we all discuss moving forward
on how to deal with that type of shit?
Yes, but...
Did we not seem like friends,
or were we not acting as friends?
I want to be real clear with words.
Between you and I, we were not acting like friends,
but to, I mean, the viewers, they don't know.
It seemed like we weren't.
They don't actually know.
What it seems like never matters.
Only what is matters.
So I want to keep perspective in its proper place.
It's not we didn't seem.
We didn't behave.
That's a fact.
Yeah, that's a big fact.
Big fact from everyone's point of view and how we were expressing it
and how we were trying to fix that stuff was not the healthiest of ways.
No, no.
To say the least.
No, it's not.
But I mean, that type of shit sometimes does take time.
If you kind of jump the gun on it
and we get back on the podcast,
for the listeners' sake,
I heard them when they were like,
fam, can you at least tell us something?
This is such a big part of our lives.
Yeah.
It's a big part of our lives
because of the chemistry that's here
and why it works so well.
And if that's not right, us just hopping on a fucking camera,
it's going to get worse than what Joe and I sitting here like,
let's fucking fight and don't come to the pod
and blow up in the back fucking yard.
That's just going to continue.
So sometimes you have to give time, time,
and kind of work through your own personal shit too
and then bring that back to the three of y'all because it's all interconnected at some point.
Sure.
So, yeah, I mean, a month, I know in the internet, a month is like 10 years.
Wasn't that long.
Right.
I understand we record twice a week.
So much shit happens.
But I think a month was a good amount of time for us to try to really get our shit back together and figure out people's perspectives.
I learned mesh.
I didn't know about Joe and how he viewed shit.
Same with more myself.
I didn't even realize how I viewed shit.
So it was,
it was an important time amongst friends that have been fucking sitting here
for going on what our seventh year of doing this shit.
Yeah.
Sometimes the lines can get blurred between what's a podcast and what's,
what's real and what's not.
sometimes the lines can get blurred between what's a podcast and what's what's real and what's not and when you don't address those types of things immediately and find out exactly what that gray
area is you end up asking your co-host if he wants to fight on air like weekly that's just what
happens so you know i think i think it was a necessary process which we're still working
through it's not like it's fucking amazing but you know it was it was a necessary process, which we're still working through. It's not like it's fucking amazing.
But, you know, it was a great step for the three of us to kick it at Joe's.
And I think we got a lot of shit out, more or less.
So, you know.
How are you feeling?
Cool.
I feel cool, man.
It's nice to see you guys again it's nice to have you back yeah i wish i
wish i had this whole fucking salacious story of we're back and this is what happened and this is
what was said and i was fucking some friends working through some shit some lines were blurred
between friendship respect business podcasting and we had to work through it and get an understanding
of where we was at to make everyone feel comfortable and moving forward.
And that comes first
before we start looking at
fucking,
you know,
contracts and business shit.
We got to understand
how we're all viewed here,
you know,
as a pod.
Yeah.
I hope that wasn't too political.
I don't have a headline for anyone.
I'm sorry.
It wasn't headline material.
I can make something up if you want.
Yeah, you should have.
No, it wasn't. Yeah, it's't headline material. I can make something up if you want. Yeah, you should have. No, it wasn't.
Yeah, it's not headline material.
But, you know, again, I think that it was necessary.
I think that, you know, sometimes you need time away from people.
Sometimes you need time away from something.
Just stand back and just watch and just observe shit and just see how shit plays out.
But like I said, for me, it's all about respect.
and just see how shit plays out.
But like I said, for me, it's all about respect.
Like, I don't care about all that other shit to me.
It's just like, you know, layers of the cake.
But the foundation, respect, you can't compromise that.
And especially not with friends.
Especially not with niggas that, you know, have history and you've been through things with and you've seen their character.
Right. You know what I'm saying? Because now, in days, there's so much fake shit going on. have history and and you've been through things with and you've seen that character right you
know i'm saying because now in days there's so much fake shit going on like when you when you
got real niggas in your corner and real niggas in your life you gotta bro keep them man because
these niggas out here it's a lot of fake shit going on and that's why for me that's why i said
it was never about you know know, the business, whatever.
Like we could work that out or we can't.
You know what I'm saying?
But respect, as long as respect is still in order and respect is still there, you can get through anything.
There's nothing that can't be resolved as long as you respect each other.
And that's why for me it was like, yo, is there still respect here?
Cool, yes.
All right, then we can move on.
We can fix this.
So do we all feel mutually respected in the room?
Yeah, I think so.
I mean- I can speak for me.
I do.
I can speak for me.
Yeah.
I mean, we spoke.
We spoke at Joe's house.
It was a lengthy, lengthy conversation.
Yeah.
And that was my only concern.
And that was my concern with Rory.
He'll tell you the whole time we was talking and texting.
It was like, fam, it's just about respect.
All that business shit, that can be taken care of.
To me, that was even corny.
I don't want to talk about...
What are we talking about?
This is supposed to be the easiest shit in the world for us.
We're not those dudes.
Yeah, to me, this is very simple.
I don't even like talking to my brother. for us like we're not we're not those dudes yeah like this is to me this is is very simple it's
like i don't even like i don't even like talking to my brother like about like he manages me but
like i feel like shit that we deal with we could talk about it you know i'm saying like it's that's
where i'm at with it and maybe that you shouldn't like i said i think that me and rory a big part of
our mistake was putting the friendship before the business a lot of the times. And when you do that sometimes in business, shit can go left.
For sure.
So you got to take, so I take some accountability for that.
You know what I mean?
Like, all right, cool.
I see times where shit, I've been like, you know what?
Let's keep this business because if we continue to just put the friendship first, sometimes shit can go away.
And then you look back and be like, oh, damn, well, I thought this and I thought that.
And it's like, well, damn, like you never said nothing.
So you take accountability for that.
But to me, even in that, it was, I didn't even want to talk about that.
That was corny to me.
It's like, I don't want to talk about numbers and business.
It's like, what are we talking about?
This is fun.
This is supposed to be easy.
This is supposed to be, I get it.
One day we looked up and we had a massive audience and now people want to invest money
into it. I get it. But for me, it was all had a massive audience and now people want to invest money into it.
I get it.
But for me, it was all about sitting here kicking it with my friends and laughing and
busting it up about shit that we love, music and the industry and shit that's going on
and business.
Once the money comes into play, to me, it's corny when that starts to affect things.
I don't care about money like that.
I've had money.
I've been broke.
You know what I'm saying?
I've known niggas that had millions and are broke and they'll tell you like fam as long as you got people that love you around you and respect you it don't even matter
when you a kid growing up you don't have no money you don't know nothing about money you with your
homies your cousins you you having fun you live in the best times of your life real shit to me
that's what this is supposed to be but it's like okay we getting paid for it but i don't want it to affect the friendship and the respect that's corny to me and i whatever
i gotta do to avoid that i'll avoid it yeah and that was kind of going into that conversation
that the three of us had at joe's where it was like all right the pod gotta end that's cool
things end that's part of life like that's part of the process that's not the end of the world
if this ends but if it ends off some avoidable shit that we could have fixed that maybe
all of our egos or all of our pride or you know certain just man shit stops it that's corny then
if it's got to end on some real issues cool that's that's just life but right yeah ending
on some corniness just that i couldn't see myself doing that you gotta try to work that shit out
when he spoke
he was like yo fam
if we not podding anymore
cool but I wanted to be over something
real I don't want to be over
business
I was like fam
it's not even about that for me
I'm just talking about respect
shit Rory was talking to me about.
I'm like, fam, I'm talking about respect.
Niggas just hit my phone.
Yo, don't fuck up the bag.
Fuck that money, nigga.
I don't give a fuck about a bag.
I can get a bag anywhere on this planet.
I'm talking about respect.
I don't go where I'm not respected.
I don't hang out where I'm not respected.
I don't fuck with niggas that don't respect me.
Period.
I don't give a fuck about no money.
I don't give...
That was never a thing for me. I don't care about money. I don't put stock niggas that don't respect me Period I don't give a fuck about no money I don't give Like that was never a thing for me
I don't care about money
I don't put stock into money like that
Like
Some of my best friends are broke
But they will do anything for me
Same
You know what I'm saying?
Like I don't
So money is not
I don't care about money
And that's
That was the one thing that was annoying me
That people kept texting me
And kept calling me
That's what everyone thought I'm like fam I don't I don't care about money And that was the one thing that was annoying me that people kept texting me and kept calling me.
That's what everyone thought.
I'm like, fam, I don't care about money.
Stop talking to me about money.
Like, I don't care about that.
I'm talking about respect.
That's all I'm here to talk about.
And people understood.
Like, oh, okay, then I understand your stance on that.
And that was it.
Royce, love him to death.
Like, he called me FaceTime for hours.
Shout out to Royce.
And my thing with him was, yo, I'm just talking about respect.
Everybody keep calling me, talking about money and business.
I'm talking about respect.
That's it.
You know what I'm saying?
And anybody that knows me knows that that's all I care about.
I don't care about money.
You know what I'm saying? That's not what I put everything on.
It's good to have money, yeah.
It's good to make money, yeah, absolutely.
not what I put everything on it's good to have money yeah it's good to make money yeah absolutely but when you start talking about friendship and respect and you know people that you thought was
in your corner it was you know going ride and hold you down I'm not talking about money when it's
come to shit like that I don't care what niggas got in their pockets I don't care what niggas got
in their accounts like I don't care about and yes that's where we fuck up in male
friendships is we just either assume shit or don't say a fucking word and things can get cleared up
real easy and perspectives can get changed very quickly too once you understand what someone else
is thinking and we just shut the fuck up and just hope things will change or oh i'll catch something
that'll make me feel better about the whole situation and i learned that through this whole month like yeah amongst male friends we got to
talk more like and kind of immediately like we need to get on to and i really fuck with that
and do it not in the male way that we do things as far as like you know anger or emotion or you
know to fucking machismo shit like no it's, it's just, let's talk, man. We're actually friends.
We actually respect each other.
We could talk about this shit.
It's easy.
It's way easier once you strip that whole fucking pride and ego shit you have.
that,
that should never tear down.
We've seen how much that's torn down so much shit before.
Like,
it's so much easier to sit,
to just sit and be like,
yo,
this is how I feel.
Right.
And I know that's easier
said than done
and it sounds so simple
but
it's way more effective
than the other shit
but
yeah
I think that kind of
summed up
where we was at
yeah
so I think how
how everyone was feeling
before we
all actually spoke
in the midst of
that hiatus
and
us not speaking.
Where are you at with it, Joe?
Tossing it to Parks.
What do you have for me?
I'm tossing to Parks.
Well, Parks, I mean, you and I
were speaking through the whole
ordeal.
But we did never kind of get into like where you felt the being the in
between person of this.
I mean,
it was awkward.
It all started.
We had a chat after the pod and everyone's kind of saying they were a
little burnout and you guys expressed a lack of clarity and some business
things,
which I expressed to Ian and I told you I was going to,
as you walked out the door and then shit hit the fan
and
I'm of the mindset that the show goes on
we employ quite a bit of people here
and everyone makes money stopping the
show for an extended period of time while everyone works out
their issues to me doesn't really make a lot of sense
so I understand why y'all feel
slighted by that but at the same time
people need to
earn a living myself included oh no i
totally get that i don't understand why they feel slighted by i mean i do because i'm listening
like i hear feelings
no i mean i was let me ask you i was understanding of the show going on let me ask you to a question
i'm kind of glad we're here though though I'm mad that we're here.
But since we're here, goddammit, let's get to it head on.
Let me ask you two a question, right?
Because things, listen, I am used to being the butt of a joke.
Let me start there.
Nobody has been laughed at in their career more than me.
Let me tell you guys that in my head,
I get a good laugh sometimes when you guys laugh,
people out there,
because I don't know if you would laugh
if some of this shit happened to you.
So my question to you gentlemen is this.
What did y'all take it to mean when Jay-Z said to me
at Highland Ballroom or whatever event that was
that we were at?
Hammerstyle.
So what?
Tuesday Palooza.
When he said so what to me,
what did you two gentlemen
take that to mean?
How did y'all process that?
What was the context in the so what?
Yeah, retell me the story.
I mean, I know it's there,
but I forgot.
The story was,
look at Hovengers,
found a way to link Hov into this.
The story was,
throughout my career,
I've said a lot of really unsavory things about that man.
Mad of it.
Mad of it.
And he to you.
So?
So what?
I,
the part that I played was,
I've said a lot of shit that maybe I could have said different.
I could have moved different.
I could have done something different in my head. Maybe justified it maybe I was like yo but when you became the
president and then my album got pushed back and then remember you it took my beat that was my
beat that was my first single and then yo even in the front when you was like yo give me that
beat for yo and you said Skank Skank was my A&R at the time like yo and then you said J.R.R.R.I.D.A. did this with marijuana, and the marijuana was a thing for me.
I spent however many years getting you, Maul, to attempt to reconcile that.
You remember?
A long time, right?
That was a prominent conversation in our home, right?
Mm-hmm.
And we went to try to execute that, and it didn't work for a lot of years, right? That was a prominent conversation in our home, right? And we went to try to execute that,
and it didn't work for a lot of years, right?
Years.
Say the years.
A lot of years.
And somehow, a few years ago,
the three of us end up at, where was it?
Do say Palooza Hammerstein Ballroom.
Hammerstein Ballroom.
Hove is there.
The three of us are there.
And that was that moment
we were looking for
at the 40-40 that time.
And the bowling alley.
And the bowling alley.
And the bowling alley.
All of the times
we tried to get an apology,
this was the moment.
I waited 14, 15 years
for this moment.
And know what he said?
Before I could even finish my grievance.
Are you trying to give him your grievances?
We were there to talk about it.
We was laughing, we was having a blast.
And he said, hold on, hold on, I got some grievances I got to get to you.
Say, yo, man.
It was a fun little area.
Yo, man, the beat bagger took that beat.
Hey, before I could get the word beat out, he said, so what?
I panned right to you, Maul.
Know what you did?
Had the biggest laugh of your fucking existence.
Oh!
Whoa!
A ball, right?
Mm-hmm.
Rory, you too?
I laughed
it's funny
he's a
sarcastic person
delivers his sarcasm well
but what did it mean
but what did it mean
and what did y'all
take it
to mean
I don't want to come off
like
I don't think I can come off
any more insensitive
than the public probably
believes me to be
but probably because instances like these so sure I don't think I can come off any more insensitive than the public probably believes me to be.
Probably because of instances like these.
I don't want to be insensitive and I don't want to gaslight, but as you gentlemen
speak,
I hear all in my head saying
to what?
It's different.
It's a perfect
example to me.
No, it's not. You'm asking how y'all... It's different. It's a perfect example to me. No, it's not.
Give me more.
I completely disagree.
Give it to him.
You didn't build anything with Jay.
Y'all weren't friends.
Y'all not friends.
Your chemistry and actual friendship
didn't base on the ability for you, Jay,
and Def Jam to put out music.
Yeah.
It was completely different.
Jay didn't owe you nothing.
Us, the three of us, all owe each other something because we're friends.
What do you think I owe y'all?
Uh,
as friends,
uh,
I think,
uh,
back to the respect thing and,
the understanding thing and,
and in the entitlement thing,
what do you think I owe you,
Rory?
Oh,
just as I'm not talking anything outside of friendship.
And that comes down to respect.
What do you owe someone in front of the mask? Respect down to respect and communication.
What do you owe someone in front of a mask?
Respect and communication
amongst each other.
I owe that to strangers in the street.
A different level of it.
Not really.
Yeah, it is.
Not to me.
Okay, that's you.
Do you owe strangers in the street respect?
Yes, more.
I respect people in the street
as I go about.
That's how I carry myself.
The same level of respect. That is how I carry myself. The same level of respect.
That is how I carry myself, yes.
That's not what I asked you.
I said, do you owe them that?
A stranger.
Do you owe a stranger respect?
I freely give it.
Do you owe a stranger respect?
No.
Okay, so then you can't say that to my friends.
But you don't.
You owe friends respect.
I don't believe that.
Yes, you do.
You don't believe that you owe your friends respect?
I don't believe that.
If it's one thing I've learned throughout this, I'm never going to expect anybody to move how I move.
So that's fine.
If you don't feel that way, that's fine.
I'm just telling you the way.
And Rory, the word owe speaks to entitlement.
And I don't have entitlement even in my friendships.
I am appreciative of my friends.
You owe your friends respect.
I am grateful for my friends.
And because of that, my behavior just,
I mean, I would hope it exudes that, no?
You owe your friends respect.
And then in this case, when you're friends,
you built something with your friends
and your friends have built something with you
and have created something with you and have grown something with you.
Absolutely. You owe them respect. One million percent. There's no way around it.
I feel I feel I owe my friends respect. Me personally, I feel I owe my friends respect.
That's why they're your friends. You respect each other.
You respect each other.
Which is also why I apologized once we started talking about all our tension
and took some accountability
of how I was moving with certain things.
I explained where they came from,
but I took accountability and saying,
no, I do owe you that respect
where I should not sit here and say that to my friend.
I should have went to my friend and said,
hey, not feeling what's going on here.
I don't want to get caught up in semantics,
but even as y'all speak the word,
oh, bothers me. That's cool. I don't have a friendship where I feel like I am in debt
which is kind of to my next point that I've shared with you gentlemen
but we'll share it here complete saying everyone internalizes things differently so even when
you talk about respect that would have to be processed through everyone's individual processor
right sure so you could you could be receiving respect and feel like you're not yeah right well
yeah yeah how people perceive things and how they
internalize things and you know different experiences in your life can have you and the
line and the lines can be blurred sure in friendship and business yes and people value
things differently than their friends do i take offense to maul saying the show should have stopped
every time he say it i'm a i'm a fine Why? With him saying the show should have stopped
Why?
Explain
Well
I dedicate my entire life to this
End statement
This is not something
Where I come in here twice a week
And talk for a few hours,
my entire life's work lands me here, what are you talking about day one, I don't view the days the
way that y'all view them, this is a life series, all of the yesterdays, let me get my shit off,
All of the yesterdays, let me get my shit off. All of the yesterdays got to today.
When it's your life's work, you don't leave it that way. You don't just leave it to chance.
You don't just leave it up in the air with some of the ways that the three of us have handled communication.
You do not do things that way.
That's how Joe views it.
The show has to go on.
I don't have the luxury of sitting in my feelings.
I don't.
Joe feels a lot of things to the people that might not be aware.
I feel mad shit.
At no point am I at liberty to come in here and just have feeling vomit.
Me.
I ask you gentlemen my next question.
What other place in the world can this happen?
What other place in the world can y'all leave some shit and then just return to it like Joe this happens all the time
and let's also give
the facts of
everything let's not
mislead the listeners of what's going on
you and I spoke
not in a healthy way
shortly after
the whole text message thing and
I think we went dark for one episode
prior to after the thing in the backyard thing and I think we went dark for one episode prior to after the thing
in the backyard.
You and I spoke
and the conversation was,
hey,
everyone go in their
respective corners
and let's try to figure out
what's wrong with this show
and what we can do
to fix it.
So do not say,
don't try to mislead
these listeners
to think that
Mo and I just said,
fuck this podcast
and fuck everything that we've built and left it was a conversation that we had did we did the three
of us handle it improperly 100 taking mad accountability that is what happened but to say
you're not taking mad accountability if you leave out the fact that that is what happened
we're not talking about your intention we didn't all agree that we were going to take a second
and if you want and you came back cool i'm not even on the side of the show should have just We're not talking about your intention. To say that we didn't all agree that we were going to take a second.
And you came back, cool.
I'm not even on the side of the show should have just stopped.
I'm not mad at that shit.
I'm cool.
I get both perspectives on it.
But it wasn't something I was focused on.
I was focused on how we could get the four of us back together on this fucking podcast.
That's where my focus was.
And I think that was apparent in the conversations that we had,
conversations I had with Maul,
getting things correct in the most timely manner possible.
And no way was this abandoning something
that anyone had built for their entire lives
or invested in their entire lives.
The conversation that you and I had,
and it was, yo, everyone get in their corners.
This might be necessary.
So I'm not going to let you mislead people
to think that Maul and I just abandoned ship on some shit.
Like it's just not what happened.
There's only one problem with what you're saying.
We did what we said we were going to do.
They were there.
What do you mean?
I don't have to mislead anyone.
And that's why I want,
I want to provide y'all the space to say anything that you feel you need to
say,
not only to,
to,
to,
to the, to the viewership, whoever that is.
I don't know who's out there.
But there's an audience that you left.
That's a fact.
We don't have to go talk about the why and the whens and, oh, fuck.
Nah, dude.
You're going to wait.
Yeah, that. Yeah, that. You're going to wait. Yeah, that...
Yeah, that...
That happened.
Am I...
Am I off?
Yeah.
That happened.
Niggas had to scramble, right?
No, I understand an audience was left in...
Niggas had to scramble to keep together a multi-million dollar outfit.
Yeah, we friends.
And yeah, we cool.
Yeah, niggas don't give a fuck about any
that money that shit don't mean nothing when maul say it know why because he's saying it to a nigga
that don't give a fuck about money know what you know where you can get that from from my actions
you ain't got to check joe tone hey none of my friends ever got to listen to joe tone about
nothing i got a long credit history with all my friends that leads
me to the next part that bothers me about some of the things that you just made which point of
when when maul's saying that repeat what you just just just said i want to make this clear
right before right before that oh you asking me fuck my memories do you abandon the show
oh yeah facts oh okay i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm explaining to people Right before that. Oh, you asking me? Fuck, my memory's... Did you abandon the show? Oh, yeah.
Facts. Oh, okay.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
My memory's back.
We don't need to explain it to people
because they was there.
Hold on.
I'm saying he feels a way
that, okay,
the show went on with other people
and you saying we had to scramble
to keep this shit going.
Okay.
When you're viewing it
and again, perspective,
none of us communicated,
of a show continuing,
it doesn't feel like
it's a priority to fix shit.
So yes,
when Maul says,
when I saw two people come on now, get that. Wait a second but and that's my thing you're right you're right
whose job is that to check before we shake the tree
i'm asking you job to check what i'm asking you i spoke to you and i'm asking you i don't know
what you're talking about okay i spoke to you said let's all get in our respective corners like
that's why this is kind of semantics
man to me
do I understand
that you wanted
to continue the show
and need to continue
the show contractually
with other advertisers
and things of that nature
we have a bunch of
people here that
make a lot of money
off this podcast
fully
fully
fully understand that
then address your
thinking that
I should make a phone
call to people
to say hey
you can't pay
your rent this month.
I never said you should do that.
Because I need to go get with Rory and Maul to see what's going on with us, with the three of us.
I never said you shouldn't do that.
Tell me what I'm supposed to say to the people that keep calling the phone that I'm turning down the business for when they say, hey, what's going on?
When I walk into my dad's house Sunday morning for breakfast and now my fucking family is asking asking what's going on those are things you have to factor in when you shake the tree no
am i off yeah but do you understand why the tree was shaking though i don't i don't think you're
skipping over that part give it to me respect if i'm not lost if i'm from yeah i'm talking about
for me respect yeah all right let's put it like this if slaughterhouse you haven't beat for
slaughterhouse internal issues business whatever and they go on and they bring in saha and let him
record on songs that you want to take your verses off and go on the tour you wouldn't feel some way
about that you know you know the man that i am i'm it's a shame that this this stuff don't get
reported to the public but you know the man that i am because i's a shame that this stuff don't get reported to the public, but you know the man that I am, because I thought that it might be a problem with me not wanting to be a part of
Slaughterhouse anymore, I retired my own career personally. No, but I'm asking why you were in it.
No, no, no, but that's the answer. No, no, why you were in it though. Not when you thought about
retiring. No, no, no, you're missing thought about retiring, but that is no, not when I,
no,
no, no.
You missing what I'm saying.
I wasn't thinking about retiring.
I started,
I started something.
Me.
I started something.
It stopped being fun.
It wasn't the most valuable and some other things were going to place.
The business wasn't right.
Blah,
blah,
blah,
blah,
blah.
Like some things happen.
And rather than say,
yo,
fuck niggas and go put out three albums a year i just stopped so that's who i am no okay so when you asked me what
i would have did yeah you wouldn't feel some type of way about that i always no no you're lying
well you spoke to royce so you could call all i got is my history you i'm the person that called
royce and suggested that sahi joined
that's who i am but what i'm saying i'm tired of my character being just spoken about the wrong way
i'm talking about niggas received those calls i'm talking about if you had a just listen what i'm
saying if you had a a situation in the studio while you're recording and y'all had an argument
whatever and you like yo some things were said to you and you like
you know what
alright cool
I'm out
you felt like
niggas disrespected you
they said some crazy shit to you
and you was like
yo you know what
I'm out
if you
if Saha was on the same album
the records you were on
two days later
and they took you off of that
you wouldn't feel some way about that?
they
they did that
and you didn't feel no way about that? they did that and you didn't feel no way about
that and i tucked it i'm asking did you and i tucked it i'm asking did you and i tucked it did
you feel any way about it yeah but if we're having a feelings talk i started this with i have a lot
of feelings about things i'm just asking you i'm talking to y'all about the feelings that adult men
have to not only tuck i understand that but express and deal with that's what i'm talking
about i totally understand you niggas left your job, more.
That's not what happened, Joe.
Joe, you looked me in my face and told me this show was none of my business.
Yeah.
That's what you told me.
I was there.
That's not crazy to you?
Is that not crazy to you?
If you say no, it's no.
Like, I'm not here to put how I'm designed on anybody else, bro.
I'm asking you.
Well, if it's one thing
that we should have all learned from this
is you can't do that.
Okay, yeah, absolutely.
You can't.
I'm just asking you.
If somebody told,
it's something you helped build
and pushed and didn't,
and never really argued about shit,
just kept looking,
fuck it, let's keep it moving.
Let's keep doing what we're doing.
And they tell you years later,
yo, this is none of your business i don't think i should have said that to you i don't think you should have said that either
but i'm asking you if someone i also do not think that that was should it should have been
because i don't get to speak uh what should have happened what what did happen i don't think it
should have been the domino that you sitting here saying that it was. But I can't tell you how to feel about some shit.
That wasn't the domino.
That was like, oh.
That was the oh.
Oh, okay.
Maul, you rode with Rory before that.
How you think I looked at that?
What you mean I rode with him?
That was the oh.
About him?
About you telling him not to come in?
About him anything.
About you telling him not to come in?
Of course.
About him anything.
Of course I'm around with and i
would like you to speak to i want you i'm not dealing with him right now i'm looking at you
and i understand i want you to speak to what that means he's our co-host that fucks up the
chemistry of this whole thing if you if you remove him if you remove you if you remove
it fucks up the whole chemistry that's what you're not understanding well i hate to be the guy
to break it to you oh let me not say that because that's not true i feel i hate to be the guy to
break this to you i don't foresee any world in the world where you're supposed to rock with rory
what i don't how do you figure that and let And let's clear it up on my perspective there.
How do you figure that?
Hey, I'm in a pod.
I'm in a pod.
Let me be clear.
I'm in a pod.
It's Rodney for the show.
I'm in a pod.
You looking nuts.
No, no, no.
I'm looking nuts?
You sound nuts
perceiving it that way.
It was Rodney for the show.
Yeah.
It wasn't even about Rory.
It was about you
telling our co-hosts not to come and record. That was nuts to me. Rodney for the show? Yeah. Like, that's not, it wasn't even about Rory. It was about you telling our co-hosts.
Like, it was nuts.
Not to come and record.
Like, that was nuts to me.
Like, riding for the show is making sure that 30 or however many people that are attached to the show are okay.
That's riding for the show.
No, riding for the show is obviously two people that are a major part of the show have an issue.
And you telling one of them not to come in.
And now I'm sitting here like,
the riding part would have been,
yo, let's all get in the room and talk about this.
Let's talk about what's going on.
But you're telling him not to report.
So you don't even see a world where that even looks funny.
You don't even understand that.
No, because it wasn't,
what you're trying to paint it to be is not what it is.
For me, it was simply like, yo, fam, that's our dog.
Oh, wait, time out.
I don't want your- That's our coach. All right, stop, stop, stop, stop. Because I don't want this to appear like I'm trying to paint it to be it's not what it is for me it was simply like yo fam that's our way time out i don't
want that's our cause because i don't want this to appear like i'm trying to paint it away
i'm trying to get y'all to speak to what things look like from a perspective outside of your own
i'm not trying to paint it that way so i don't want it to come off that way i totally get it
but what i'm saying is you saying me riding with Rory is nuts.
I ride with anybody I fuck with.
I ride with any, like,
if you wrong, you wrong.
I don't care if me and you are best friends.
If you're wrong,
I'm going to tell you you're wrong.
You was wrong to tell Rory
not to come in and record.
That was wrong.
That was wrong.
You should have never done that, bro.
That should never happen.
Who should have done it?
It should have never been said.
You can't tell Rory don't come in and record.
Parks.
Well, I actually would like to hear Rory's perspective on this because he kind of agreed that he shouldn't come in and record.
No, I agree.
Yeah, but he agreed because he was agreeing.
Let me finish.
Go ahead.
When I got that text initially, I was like, all right, it probably has to do with our tension.
And after the exclamation point on the text and all that i'm like i'm not fucking with
this dude right now i'll hit him in like a few days then i got more information from people that
wasn't him about things that had to do with me and him and more and i was like all right this is
getting super weird it's so much third party shit going on here i don't even operate this way and i
got on my private shit too so i'm not hitting him. Fuck that. So,
did I agree that we needed to talk or maybe
taking some episodes off
might have been a better idea because those last few episodes
were super trash with the tension that we had.
It was just bickering. It sounded bad.
Agreed. But that is a conversation
that needed to be added. And that was Maul's point the entire time.
Maul was not riding specifically
Rory, whatever. It could have been any other person that
could have been here for the last seven years.
It's riding for the show.
That's why I didn't even look at this as some like fucking I'm riding with you, you riding with me.
This is teams within our team.
It's not that type of shit.
We ride for the overall goal.
Did we go about it wrong?
Hell yeah.
That was wrong.
That falls on everybody.
And that's one thing I do with all of my niggas.
I don't care.
I tell you when you're wrong.
Like fam, that's wrong.
You went about that the wrong way.
You shouldn't have said that. You shouldn't have done that. It wasn't about riding with Rory. It's about being on the right side of the of the situation. That's foul for you to tell Rory not to come in and record.
And even more to his point of riding, you and I didn't even really have real beef. Like we had some disagreement and some tension. It wasn't a division where people had to choose sides and we was out here like nas is that's not the right way to go about this listen man i'm just
designed if you're wrong you're wrong and i'll tell you when you're wrong and you was wrong for
that if you call that riding ferrari then okay call it riding ferrari i have no problem riding
for parks riding i've rode for you like i have no problem riding for niggas when I fuck with them.
But I'm going to tell everybody that I fuck with when they're wrong.
And you were wrong for that.
And then to compound that, you saying what you said to me was really nuts.
I'm like, wait, hold.
Now I really don't know what's going on.
You tell Rory not to come in and record.
And then you tell me this show was none of my business.
I hate to be, I don't want to make it uncomfortable by saying this.
business i hate to be i don't want to make it uncomfortable by saying this but i am the person that is supposed to tell rory yo dog you should chill for a few you can tell rory that if that's
something that all of us talk about it's a conversation like that's the part you're missing
that's that's something because now i'm sitting here there's no co-host the chemistry is just oh
now if he's sick, that's different.
But then when you know
it's tension and it's an issue
and then you tell somebody
not to come in.
It was tension for months.
Neither one of you niggas
called my phone.
I'm talking about when you...
It was tension for months.
But when we had this talk,
we tried to set up...
It was tension for months.
We tried to set up a date.
Long before you inviting me
to your hands.
I agree.
It was tension long before...
Which part of that narrative
where do you have to stop?
Because you kind of started that, but it's cool. It's on tape. What the hell? I agree. It was such a long before. Which by the way, that narrative, we do have to stop because you kind of started that
but it's cool.
It's on tape.
What the hell?
I know.
I was just the second person
to say it.
Start right now
and saying that
we should square up
and Joe stop running
from Rory.
It's not important.
I don't want to fight you.
It's all love.
Everything is cool.
Yeah,
but listen man,
there's an art to shaking the tree.
But see, and then even you saying I look nuts riding Ferrari, that lets me know that I'm just built way different from niggas, man.
But that's okay.
It is okay.
That's one thing I learned in a lot of this.
Is that, yo, I'm just built different.
I'm not with this.
I'm not riding with that.
That was crazy for you to text Rory that.
And then when he asked you what you meant, you didn't even offer an explanation.
That was even more nuts.
My ears are like, this...
Somebody else...
I don't know what to say to that.
Okay, well, you don't know what to say, but you know who you're talking to.
You're talking to Maul.
And you know how I'm designed. I don't give a to say to that. Okay, well, you don't know what to say, but you know who you're talking to. You're talking to Maul. And you know how I'm designed.
I don't give a fuck what nobody else thinks.
Then nobody else thinking affects me at all.
I know that I'm right in what I'm saying.
You telling Rory not to come in,
and then with him trying to ask for explanation,
you giving him the exclamation point.
It's like at least,
you didn't even want to tell him
why he shouldn't come in.
You didn't even want to have a conversation then.
And so then when me and you have a conversation, then you say what you said to me now i'm totally confused like
all right what the fuck is going on you understand what i'm saying so i'm so if you say ron for no i
don't understand because i sent rory and and told him what i thought needed to be happened to salvage
friendship and business immediately after hitting roryory, I hit you. And I
hate that I have to go down this timeline because to me, so what still? But let's do it. Immediately
after I hit you to say, pull up on me and let's talk. That was a Saturday. You told me you were
coming. You did not. Yeah. Sunday, you hit me. You said, my bad. I was coming. You did not. Right.
Monday, you didn't hit me at all right and then tuesday you show up to
our our our place of business to have a conversation when we should be working about
why i asked rory to stay home yes well to me that will never make sense, that will never make sense. Okay. That will never make sense.
The courtesy and the friendship vibe was me hitting you so we could have a conversation about why I thought this needed to occur.
That was the last ditch effort.
That wasn't like the first.
That wasn't me.
That wasn't initiating trying to troubleshoot.
That was the, oh the oh shit wait a second
wait a second shit is off in here it's conversations going on it's rumblings walls
and streets is talking it's fisticuffs it's a lot going on the shows is trash it looked bad
that was a lot going on now whose decision was it to weigh all of the things that were wrong
in that moment i should leave that to us yeah the three niggas
that didn't do no communicating to the mumps leading up to all of this shit no yeah no that's
one and two i'm back to my car fax with niggas i didn't need this moment to know that i am built
differently than other people but what we will have is our friend history with everyone individually forgive rory i feel don't
yell at me and don't get up to hit me either say it i'm chilling bro
if you're ever looking for who what joe's character looks like all you got to do is
look back in the last 15 years.
You don't need him.
He didn't exist.
He wasn't there.
Nothing about Rory exists in the world that I'm talking about with you.
We have X amount of years living together in confidence.
I don't need to say what goes into that.
You and I know what's going on.
We should never be talking about a rory
ever but this is not one of those instances where we go to the club and somebody can't get in
this one of the instances where oh the other side to this if we not friends and it's not
feeling friendly in here is i'ma treat it like it's not friendly in here yeah but which ain't
right which ain't right stop no no no
no no no wait let me finish getting my shit off let me finish getting my shit off boy you niggas
peed me all let me get this out of me let me get this out it's all rory don't get to question how
i ride neither it's not something you got to think about it's not something you gotta freestyle and try to imagine we got a few years joe show up
it ain't nothing to check books about it ain't nothing to check podcast they bond
accountant look at the footage about joe show up i think it's corny to remind niggas how i show up
but if you look back Joe show up for you
having nothing to do with him
and same for him
y'all don't get to tell me
I don't respect y'all of course y'all have feelings
so you can tell me that and I'm gonna
appreciate it I never said that I never said you didn't respect me
I said based on our conversation
which you said
yeah more but you know
a question where the respect was
and I apologize for that you did and I apologize which you said yeah Maul but you know a question where the respect was but whatever
and I apologize for that
you did
and I apologize
and I'm doing it again
and I'm doing it again
understood
and that whole riding point
I'm not saying you're wrong
and saying
you two have your own
separate history
you and I have our
separate history
the three of us have history
Maul wasn't riding
for your friendship
and his friendship
or my friendship
and Maul's friendship
or your friendship
and my friendship it was riding for the show so i see what you're saying of yes have
you shown up for me all the time i showed up for you all the time yes all this and that you guys
got fucking two decades in no we're just talking about the show at that point that's it we're not
riding for any personal history it's a hey this show is starting to feel a little fucked up we
should talk about it now did the three of us handle that incorrectly again i'm repeating myself yes that's why i think a lot of this back and forth shit that we're doing now
is kind of yeah but that's because it's separate points to what really happened but it's not
pointless there's some poetic justice in it and that's why earlier i was like yo tell me any other
workplace in the world where this chain of events could happen because we start at y'all
questioning maybe my friendship or my respect level right or just some things that should
exist between us right and then we end with having to lean on that very same friendship
to say all right all that other shit that wouldn't fly nowhere else in the world
it can happen here because that's my man that's not odd i mean we've we've done that
for i'm not gonna talk to maul because me and maul don't come from corporate shenanigans and
workplace stuff you though that's where i come, though, tell me where that can happen at.
You tell me.
Come on, I don't want to make it sound like I'm talking Spanish.
But I don't know what you're saying in that capacity.
You say that in another job you couldn't storm out and come back six weeks later.
I've gone through all this with Palooza that's also a multi-million dollar business of friends having these same types of problems so yes you can say there's a corporate side of shit but we ain't
corporate and neither was palooza did we partner with corporate people sure but that's not how the
infrastructure of our shit went bad example no it's great example horrible this will never stop
well palooza stopped because of covid this will never stop was my words so it's a horrible example
there's not a world that exists we didn't stop because of uh my statement is not about palooza
i don't care what you niggas do i'm talking about this this will never stop
it's y'all's to participate in like our fucking contract says and there's no uncomfortable
conversation and me and mark i have that change what we legally bind bound to do i said that to
y'all privately i'll say it here too sure there's nothing y'all could say to me i said this in your
absence there is nothing a friend could say to me that ends the friendship i need to see more
no you have to do
something nigga your character gonna have to shine but your words that's not joe that's not to
diminish anybody that that happens for it but that's never been who that's never been and me
and nor is it because we sitting here talking about it we we gave the the history of the last
month of where people felt on certain things and when we was trying to go through shit.
We sitting here now
because we feel the same fucking way.
If it was just based off,
if Maul really felt like you saying
this show's not your business,
you think he'd be sitting here?
No, he knows it's his business.
Rory, and this is where we just view things
differently on friendship.
Because Maul and I are friends
or call ourselves friends,
I would have thought we could get to the friendship conversation at any point we're friends which is what i called
from park's backyard and said yo dog if you never pod again we gonna talk i said that i'm consistent
in my no i didn't say that to you?
That's all I'm saying, man.
I want y'all to speak to...
Actually, no, I don't want y'all to speak to.
I want Parks to speak to what happens in
alternate world if things
did not go this way.
It could have been bad.
It could have been bad.
Hey, y'all can choose now for it to be understatements if you want.
Give Savon a mic then.
Give Erickson a mic then.
Give Alex a mic.
Give the accountant some mic.
I love it.
Give the lawyers, give everybody a mic.
It ain't time for understatements.
That's how Joe's rep takes the fucking hits.
Every time.
Because it's understatements.
When miraculous shit is going on.
It is miraculous shit.
I went to therapy with Rory. my off day with my fucking kid.
What are y'all saying in here?
I want to hear where else you could have that type of smoke with not with the with the person at your job that is responsible for the job.
Leave it and then go to therapy for the problems
and come back.
That's the shit
that won't get spoken about.
But why?
Like,
I commend the niggas
that came.
Thank God.
I never saw the day
that y'all would not be here.
I never saw the day
when you would look me
in my face and tell me
this was none of my business.
I never saw that day. Is it look me in my face And tell me this was none of my business I never saw that day Is it your business
And a contract that we have?
Fuck that contract
I'm talking to you
See
Cause I don't
You talking to a nigga
That don't even
Cause you know why?
Because you talking to a nigga
That don't care about contracts
And I'm talking to a nigga
That's on record saying
No you talking to a nigga
That you lived with
For probably over a decade
What I'm saying No you not talking to a nigga That is talking with for probably over a decade. What I'm saying.
No, you're not talking to a nigga that is talking about contracts.
Let's keep me in my proper life.
I'm talking to a nigga that don't give a fuck about contracts as well.
Bingo.
That's true.
So we not talking.
Me and you are never talking about contracts.
That's why I be mad at you niggas.
Like I told niggas, I'm not mad at niggas shaking the tree.
Like please, I will never be mad at that.
It wasn't about shaking the tree.
Word.
This is what you're missing.
Get quiet through the whole shit.
It wasn't about shaking the tree.
Roy, shut up.
Marlon followed me.
What are you talking about?
You know why I followed you?
What are you talking about?
You know why I followed you?
Come on.
No.
We spoke about it.
I would like to hear why you unfollowed him.
Me too.
Fam, this nigga was posting all this corny shit with the show.
This shit was looking nasty, bro.
I wasn't trying to see that shit.
It was looking nasty, bro.
It was looking nasty.
Facts.
I'm just telling you what it is.
I didn't want to see that.
I didn't want to see something that I had a hand in building looking the way it was looking.
Just being honest.
It was looking bad.
So I'm like,
I don't want to see this shit.
So I'm following him.
It's simple for me.
I'll tell you what it is.
I don't have
none of my actions.
I'm going to tell you
why I did what I did
and when I did it.
Simple.
You still following me?
Yeah.
I was on record
and Morgan said
Tim and I had conversations
I didn't like any of the
social media shit
I said to you
and to both of you
stop with this
this is gross
but I didn't say nothing
on social media
it would just
there'd be tweets
from everybody
I didn't like it
I thought it was corny
I thought it was weird
I didn't think we were
those type of guys
like
shouldn't
well I can't ask you that
because you said the show
should stop
I understand I was about to say so niggas. Like, shouldn't, well, I can't ask you that because you said the show should stop. I understand.
You got it.
Yeah, absolutely.
I was about to say, so niggas shouldn't have tweeted their fucking.
People go, listen, there's world-class entertainers
that go through this type of shit.
Shows have stopped.
Live tours have stopped.
Like, it happens.
You don't just pick up and put two random,
and I want to say it again,
love and respect the ice shins. I fuck with them. Those money.
But you don't just pick up random pieces and say the show must go on without trying to fix something.
That's not how it works. So you're saying, oh, we had this.
There's people that generate billions of dollars of years that have gone through the same exact shit.
Same exact shit. Some of our favorite television shows go through the same exact shit same exact shit some of the our favorite television shows go through the same exact shit the star of the show isn't happy with contracts and this that and the third they don't just start
production and filming the show without without them they try to fix it and if it can be resolved
it's resolved if not okay we just got to try to find a way we the person moved they're writing
the story or he moved somewhere he's no longer living in the city whatever they try to make
anything happen
Martin
when him and Gina
was going through real life shit
they filmed without them
being on set
they was never in the same room
they had a job in different cities
you find a way to
but you don't just
put new people in a spot
and say oh this is him
and this
no
that's not what happens
you can stop production
on something
you can stop filming something
it's not the end of the world
would it
I don't think it would've took six weeks not based on the conversation we had
a week ago i don't think it would have took that long but i'm just saying you're saying something
when you do that you're saying something when you do that and we all know what that's saying and
again i don't know i don't have an ego bro i don't to me that's corny shit that is ego no more no it's not the exact definition of ego of what what you're saying of me saying
that i don't i don't care if if if you record and move on i'm just saying that i think that
it would have been better to try to work it out the same way you scrambled to try to find somebody
to fill in i told you that's the same way you should have scrambled you don't think you don't
show up to a bunch of uh potential meetings to try to work things out how how is he supposed to feel but joe
we were supposed to have a meeting before all of this happened and he canceled before so it happens
sure it happens you understand i'm saying like but my thing is when you try to move on
and put two other people on the show that me and Rory helped build that's
saying something what does it say when you leave what you helped build I understand what you're
saying I just want you to speak to the other side because you agreed to what I said and what happened
I left it we had a we had a conversation even when you and I were not on good terms we spoke
because we both care about this fucking podcast you said hey yeah we were sitting up in in your upstairs room yo everyone go in their respective corners let's figure out
what each of us want out of this shit and let's let's let's try to keep it as timely as possible
at this point i even think that's a valid question i sent you i sent you let me tell you y'all want
a pod i sent you what exactly i was feeling on that with a list of certain things but oh this
is easy we get all this shit done like we was on that with a list of certain things. Oh, this is easy.
We get all this shit done.
Like we was on the type of time of keeping this shit moving forward, even when we was on bad terms before you and I started working through our bullshit.
Like it was still like, yo, all right, what's going on with this?
This is our shit.
So I cannot let you tell these listeners that Maul and I abandoned ship because it's not what happened.
We agreed.
You and I sat there, say, yo, let's get in our respective corners.
It's better this way because there's a bunch of tension on this podcast it's
gonna sound like pure fucking shit if we agreed then it wouldn't be the problem you're telling
me now that i abandoned the fucking ship and we both agree that we should the three of us should
figure out what we try and do within this pod and let's do it in a timely manner too like that's so
easy i abandoned ship then i'll take accountability when i when i left here i'll take that but if you
think that you was gonna look me in my face and tell me this show was none of my business and I was going to record, you got more fucked up.
You know that wasn't happening.
That was never happening.
Nobody can never talk about that.
I think it's unfortunate that that's all you heard in that conversation.
I heard everything.
I'm not going to assume that.
You might have heard everything.
You might have heard everything.
That, to me, though, nah.
You can't tell me.
Me?
You can't tell me that. You can't tell me that you can't tell me that you can't yo i'm with
you i shouldn't have said that to you but if i say that to you and then you leave and then don't
show up for the next however many weeks and then somebody else sit down and do an okay job you can't
get mad at that i wasn't no no no i wasn't mad that's not that's not what i'm at or you can't
that's not what i'm at you can't have no smoke for the people that come sit in.
I don't have smoke for nobody.
If I had smoke for niggas, niggas know.
No, you don't smoke for niggas.
I'm saying you tweeted.
You had a few moments.
Who?
On Twitter where you had to, you know what I mean?
It don't matter.
I didn't have smoke for nobody.
I don't have smoke for nobody, bro.
Now, people may have said things, and I may have just like laughed but that ain't smoke for no reason
are you guys
come on let me get to the tough questions man
are you guys
are you guys
unhappy
overworked
underpaid
oh do y'all hate me
like this story
come on
get to it
we gotta get to it
like we spoke
like we spoke
but if we want to
we asked them for them
if we want to answer it here
if we want to answer it here
my issue was simply
respect and transparency
when it came to business
that was it
that's all
I didn't have an issue
with nothing else
nothing else
my issues are very short
respect and transparency
what's going on
with the business
why have we never seen this
why have we never seen that
why we don't know
what's going on with this
why we don't know
what's going on with that
that was it it was that simple for me it wasn't nothing deep Why have we never seen this? Why have we never seen that? Why we don't know what's going on with this? Why we don't know what's going on with that?
That was it. It was that simple for me. It wasn't nothing deep. It wasn't nothing like that couldn't be resolved, spoken about nothing.
Like I said, for me, shit went left when you said what you said. That's when my energy changed.
And it was like, OK, well, cool. This is so not the song.
Or is it perfect?
Mic check, one, two, one, two, mic check,
one, two, one, two, how y'all feeling out there?
Crazy! Hey!
Oh, God.
Mending their feelings.
Oh, my God, man.
I told...
This is what...
And a lot of that, for people listening,
is kind of just a rehash of a way longer
six, seven-hour conversation
that the three of us had last week.
We're all in a better space.
I know it sounded like maybe we're still mad.
We're cool.
We're cool guys.
I'm dissecting this damn.
You could throw out a
9 million
think pieces. Will they make it?
The network is failing.
It's all bad.
Respect and
transparency, bro.
That's all i'm ever talking
about how do you feel about podcasting as like a profession i think this is super dope that's
what i said to me this is it for us to even have issues in this is is crazy because this to me this
is the easiest so now for us this is shit that we
was doing before it was even a name for this shit exactly so now how do you both feel about
being those guys now the guys did beef when money came around well we weren't beefing around
yeah that's us that's not us that's not us that's not us that's not us doom doom doom
yeah that's us respect and transparency brought up a dollar that's all i'm kidding that's us doom doom doom that is not us that's not doom doom doom yeah that's us
respect and transparency brought up a dollar that's all i'm that's all i'm ever beefing about
if i feel like there's no respect and no transparency that's it anything else we can
we can hash that up and i'm never beefing over money never it either is or it isn't
over money never it either is or it isn't that's all respect respect man that's all if you have respect you have everything even when you dead broke if you have respect for each other
you have everything y'all niggas are gonna be okay two broke niggas as long as they respect
they're gonna be all right it's something they're gonna find a way the money just you know that's that's that's
when it becomes if anything the money is what's gonna kind of sort of reveal a lot of things for
you they always say you want to know who your friends are sit at a table and put a bunch of
money on the table and watch the conversations that happen doesn't change you just makes you more what you already are that's it but
as long as you respect each other like that money should have worked itself out so what you think
i'm more of now what do you think no let me hear yes and don't let me hear don't don't go on
bridget and i'm gonna send stuff nigga sit here those weren't subs towards you though I know that was
a theory
but that had nothing
to do with you
boy I thought that was
sly
this nigga went on
my girl podcast
on my network
said fuck your network
and I don't care about
Biden
suck my dick
I said oh shit
and more than I think
I'm calling this
I called him Monday night
here you good
no you can't do that man
that's not oh such man. That's not.
Oh, such a liar.
That's not what you did.
It was filmed.
He engineered it.
How was it?
You engineered you calling me on Monday night?
No, no.
That never happened.
You're just making shit up.
You did say you don't like podcasting.
That's the joke.
He embellished it, obviously.
That's a joke.
He said that.
No.
He said that. That's a bit. You clarify first. it, obviously. That's a joke. He said that. No. He said that.
That's a bit, you know, like.
Oh, but you clarify first.
Let me clarify that.
Get to it.
I thought I made it clear, but we always, you know, we never understand how people are
going to take things we say.
Am I passionate about podcasting as in I want to go out and create a whole bunch of podcasts
and start a network and grab all these other talented people that I think would be dope
for podcasting and put them together and then maybe me start a bunch of other podcasts.
Like, that's not
where my passions lie.
Am I passionate about this?
This business that we
created together?
Am I passionate about you guys?
Am I passionate about this shit?
100%.
I don't feel like
you should be able to say
we created it together
if you leave it so freely.
We've addressed that.
I know.
And you've agreed with it
and then danced around it
and then agreed with it again
and then did more semantics.
So I'm not going to
address that anymore.
Okay. Okay.
Yeah.
Let's please kill that narrative
because I don't want-
Yeah, like that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
And you agreed with it.
That's not what happened.
On air just now.
He engineered it.
We didn't abandon-
We didn't abandon our podcast.
No, we did not.
Things were said.
Things were done.
And don't fucking do that.
You know what the fuck
I was doing behind the scenes
scrambling trying to get this shit.
You got some nerve too.
I know, Rory.
You were scrambling.
You got some fucking nerve.
And my point,
and I don't want y'all
to think it's me,
but yeah,
you have to view things
from every angle.
Yeah, you were scrambling.
I thought it was great
because you kept in communication
with mom, me.
I was trying to get
every last thing
that needed to be addressed,
addressed and done
in a timely and respectful manner
because accountability
took me a little while,
took me a few episodes to listen.
Accountability to me
is not just saying
take an accountability.
Accountability to me
is within actions.
So if there was something that I feel that I wronged in the podcast and I can only, I'm only responsible for my actions.
I can't speak for anyone else's.
I have to do my part to fix what may, I deem something wrong I did within this podcast.
And that was within actions.
We could talk all fucking day.
Yo, I shouldn't have done that, man.
But let's try to fix it.
And again, if we can't fix it,
it was a good run, guys.
But we at least owe that seven years to try.
Come on, I'll ask the tough questions.
Damn, I forgot the fucking question.
It was a good one.
What did you just say?
Accountability, behind the scenes
jumping shit abandoning you dancing could the friendship have been uh fixed if y'all never
returned to the pod yeah yeah okay like i said it wasn't about it wasn't about the pod Like I It wasn't about that I told y'all
Straight up
Respect
That's all I wanted to know
And I asked you if the respect
Was still there as friends
Alright I will not
That was all I wanted to know
I will not
Overcomplicate matters
Yeah no
It's nothing to overcomplicate
I mean
We owe it to the listeners
What happened
And you know
Long story short That's what happened and you know long story short
that's what happened that's what was being spoken about behind the scenes um but yeah no we didn't
abandon anybody we didn't we didn't think it would take as many weeks as it did and and to be clear
joe was the one that said a month on the show he gave that timeline that wasn't the i didn't speak
to him about a month rory didn't speak to him about a month. Rory didn't speak to him about a month. That's something that he said.
So it was like, okay, cool, whatever.
Niggas got my number.
My number work.
Is it respect?
Yeah.
All right, cool.
That's all.
Simple.
I'm simple, man.
I don't complicate nothing.
As long as niggas respect me, we got any conversation in the world.
Okay.
Look at us.
Can't wait to see what those timestamps read like over here.
Don't go get some water now. Shut out the Creed, man.
Did you feel that same way when you left Complex?
Did you feel that way way when you left Complex? Did you feel that same way when you left Complex?
Did you feel that same way when you left Complex?
What'd I say?
Did you feel the same way you said in what I'm going to call semantics of you saying,
yes, we employ people on this podcast.
There is a staff here that relies on this money the same way all of us rely on money for the from
this podcast when you left complex i know there was i do know there was people there that were
probably not complex employees they were you know uh 1099 just you just you getting hired for for
that specific thing and i remember everyday struggle to be to be a pretty popular fucking show. Did you feel that same way when you left?
Well, same way.
There's a lot of people that rely on Everyday Struggle right now
outside of myself that have built their career around this.
If I leave here, maybe they'll miss a steady paycheck
because it was an everyday show.
So I'm sure a lot of people that were gaffers and camera guys or whatever that was a consistent paycheck
it was like all right i can't even take gigs right now because i got to do this shit monday
through thursday i'm glad you asked that let me clear up a common and i wasn't coming to ask you
i'm just curious if you thought i would never feel like you're coming at me coming at me
here's the kicker i never left complex I never voluntarily left complex I never said yo I'm
not coming into work at complex that's not what happened at all at complex I understand that when
I come in here and that's what I'm saying about there being an art to shaking the tree I come in
here and I go on these rants and you pull from it what you pull from it but if you pull the wrong
shit then you missed the whole thing altogether.
Rory, before that complex job started, it was a Monday through Thursday thing.
And if you paid more than we could do Fridays, they started.
They started pulling tricks with the Friday.
I still was showing up Monday through Thursday.
I remember.
And I just wasn't coming in Friday.
And then they pulled the shenanigans.
I know. I meant the renew. And then they pulled the shenanigans. I meant the renew.
The re-up on the issue.
There was no renew because the company decided not to renew my contract
because I wasn't playing ball with Fridays and I was costing them money.
I could never feel like the way you're saying because I'm aware that the show must go on.
Even if you created it.
Boy, talk about
a hard pill to swallow there the show goes on even if you created it that is a fact so when
we as men go to bed at night we got a face with back to that replaceable shit more said earlier
well we're all replaceable so now the question is you replacing me with, and that's what it was, hey,
you could get rid of me, but in getting rid of me, you better know that you got a seat to fill,
and they tried it, they brought in Star, the most controversial, the father of niggas,
that's it, Akin Star, I'm sure the suit said smash what happens is not smash oh bring somebody else but that's not
because i was like fuck y'all suck my dick i want to ruin the show i thought that was the best thing
ever created oh no the suits handled it wrong that's where a lot of my past resentment towards
y'all come from because i have 20 years of seeing how the suits
treat us and i don't do y'all like that and if y'all don't know that and if y'all don't feel that
and if y'all don't see that and if y'all don't trust and believe that then yeah we got a lot
more problems than you inviting me to your hands every week that's the least of the issues okay so let i don't want to
accuse you of dancing give it to me but from my understanding from what i believe is recorded and
on this podcast and was a big deal yes you did leave complex because you felt the business
dealings there when i believe it was a spotify deal maybe a nike deal or something where you
wanted to have on fridays yeah you wanted to to have some type of revenue within each ad play.
Yes.
So there was a problem within the business.
No, no, no.
But wait, wait, wait.
Let me ask something to you.
Let me ask something just so you know, back to the art of shaking the tree.
And I wasn't there.
I'm asking.
I'm asking.
I'm not saying what happened.
And you could keep this going.
From what I remember you telling me.
No, I know it's much deeper than that.
Okay.
I thought that they were getting money that they would not be able to get without me that's what happened I thought that they were
procuring deals that were solely predicated on my presence and I had to go do a lot of snooping
around barging in offices talking to people I wasn't supposed to talk to.
Just snoop, you know, the fucking game to get the information and decide, you know what?
All my chips into the table, all my chips into the table.
I'm moving. And by the grace of God, at complex, at least I was right.
I was right. They put somebody else in the seat. The money disappeared.
No, we're not paying
for that that's not that that is not what we purchased i was home saying hip hip hooray
hip hip score one for the good guys the suits did the wrong thing they tried to just make a
move based on the money ignoring niggas feelings and you lost the money. That's what happened at Complex. Spotify, I was unhappy a
year and a half before the contract. In year one, I was unhappy. In year one, they came back,
shot niggas some crack, said, hey, take it. We said, no, they got funny. I had another year and
a half to go. And y'all, in conjunction with, had another year and a half to go i finished it and at the
end of it when we had hey y'all know i was doing a countdown it's probably 20 podcasts laughing
around 14 maybe 11 i'm gonna get to it right y'all remember we was there right yeah at the end
after i had carefully weighed 20 million things one of them being what the fans always go to.
Well, if you treat one of your employers like that and you get out there and do one of your rants, then you're ruining your business.
Running with this Charlemagne fucking fuckity fucks you.
They could never be more wrong.
Every time I come in here to do it, as I explained to Rory, and this is not arrogance or ego.
It's just
how much thought is involved when I'm shaking the fucking tree every time I come in here to do it
go on one of them rants about one of these fuck-ass companies that's fucking black people
that's fucking white people don't care about the creators hey I went inside I peeked behind the
curtains this what's going on y'all I put my reputation at risk i put my relationships at
risk i put my business at risk my ability to feed my children at risk i put future endeavors at risk
this ain't just for the fucking living room managers in the youtube comments fam
my life is dedicated to this it is carefully vetted and sourced fuck spotify say it now know why
because i already spent the millions of hours it takes and looking at the thousands of variables
that could exist in me saying hey wait a minute what if i say fuck spotify maybe that means apple
don't come well thank god for us that wasn't true maybe that means amazon don't come thank
god for us that wasn't true everybody came still
so I'm gonna always look
at this with
extreme gratitude
know why I learned long ago hey nigga
even the fans will say
so what
when Wano hit that show
some fans right there
we keeping this moving we keeping this moving we out when Wayno hit that show, some fans right there,
we keeping this moving.
We keeping this moving.
We out Wayno ain't so bad with that.
I'm rolling.
Hey, was it the same show?
No.
Was it profitable?
Maybe.
Did they continue to run it for years after?
Yeah.
And Wayno's my friend. Shout out to Wayno. Not friend, but... Love Wayno's my friend.
Shout out to Wayno.
Not friend, but.
Love Wayno.
As close to an industry friend as I'm going to have, right?
We don't do Thanksgiving together, but y'all know Wayno's my guy.
Pulled him in there for the first pull up.
Couldn't even kick it with him about my feelings about what was going on.
Know why?
It's my friend.
I'm happy for him.
I'm happy that he got that shot.
Took that,
went to the asylum,
did that,
then went over there and killed him,
got his own podcast now.
I'm happy.
I didn't think otherwise.
I don't think anyone said
that you were.
into shaking the tree.
Fans will forget you
in two seconds.
That's not something Joe's making up.
I've experienced it.
Of course.
Feeling like the greatest rapper ever.
I was there, and they got seen what would happen.
So when I come in here and go on these long rants,
and the audience miraculously just follows us wherever we go.
I don't take it for granted.
I don't take it for granted.
I'm not saying that y'all do.
Please don't.
I'm not saying that y'all do.
But that's how important.
But there is a lot that goes in to shaking a tree.
It is a talent.
It is a gift. There is an art to it. It is a talent. It is a gift.
There is an art to it.
And there is risk involved in it.
No.
Of course.
No.
Maul.
Absolutely.
And to the point of how important this show is to me and why it's important to the fans.
I have immense gratitude for the fans matter
of fact most of the conversations maul and i did have the entire time where man we got to dress for
the people that like actually fuck with us like let's not say the entire audience but like you
know the people that have rocked with us for this many years that we've even met at shows and shit
like that they owed some explanation but when we were trying to get to the light at the end of the
tunnel and get to a place where we could all sit back down,
it was like, all right, let's just get to that first.
Because if we start addressing shit when it's in limbo,
it could be even weirder.
I take that gratitude for them
like you would not fucking believe.
With that said, this is so important to me.
This show is so important to me.
Y'all as people are so important to me
that, yeah, fans forget you. That's not as important to me. If'all as people are so important to me that, yeah, fans forget you.
That's not as important to me. If this shit can't get right,
I mean, I had a career without fans before. I'll find a way.
And that's just where we differ.
Cool. Fair enough. Yes, I get that. But that's how important this shit was to me. Do I not
value them like you would not fucking believe?
But I value this shit more just because y'all are really here with me.
Like, back to what Maul was saying.
If you got people that you love and respect and are broke, that is more valuable than having a bunch of people that you're rich with that don't give a fuck about you.
So, yeah.
Did I feel for the fans in that capacity?
Did I really want to address that shit and talk to them?
Of course.
But this was more important to me. That's really what it was.
They built this entire thing, but they love it because we was cool. And if we ain't cool and I'm not cool and you not cool, you not cool, you not cool, y'all not cool, loses its value as fans too.
So that's where my head was at. It wasn't a disrespect as if I didn't realize that people move on
or fans will be upset at you and feel like they abandoned you.
I totally understood all that,
but I knew the root of why they even cared to begin with,
and it was this.
So let's try to fix this.
Okay, I hate to be the bearer of bad news.
I didn't know how to say it but
and you have to say it
because I want y'all to be clear
on that relationship
with fans
they not our friends
no that's why I said
this was more important to me
that they will move on
and they will move on
to the next thing
I understand that that's why instead of immediately trying to address them and talk about it all the
time and really connect right away and what was going on no this is what's valuable to me right
now and it's valuable i'm valuable to them because of this and everything we do together when the
people love you guys well no no it's a us thing and i love you guys. Well, no, no, no. It's an us thing. And I love you guys too. I don't want to say the people.
So, yeah, we got to make sure this is right
because if this was never right,
they wouldn't love us.
So, yeah, I'm sorry.
The listeners were not the top of my priority
when I knew what was going on internally amongst us.
And I thought that first episode back,
I thought you handled it well.
I thought it was great.
I thought they got something at least
where it wasn't like, okay, there's just nobody here
now and we're just
going to pod like everything is okay.
I thought you handled that first episode
great. I was like, all right, that buys us some time
to try to get this shit together.
I feel you. No, fans move on.
They're listeners.
They're going to move on. They enjoy podcasting.
They can move on to the next podcast. I'm fully aware
of that. I do not sit here and think and think yo it's mad people they just literally only care what i have
to say i know they love this show and when the dynamic is fucked up then who cares about me who
cares about you who cares about anybody what do you have to say to the people that believe that
both of you guys's weight loss is due to a breakup diet?
Well, I have made it quite clear.
Maul told me he just did the juicing diet.
So I know where his come from.
Yeah, mine, you know, I told y'all prior.
I knew that Maul would be back after the Knicks win streak was over.
That's what did it?
I mean, if you think about it, coincidence? That's a, yeah.
Knicks get on track?
Yeah.
Nah, this nigga starting to get shaped
like Julius Randle, nigga.
That was the only part that was bad
about some of the breakups, man.
Like, again, we're extremely blessed,
and I personally am thankful to all of the people that worked Overdrive to hold this thing down.
Yeah, and let me be clear.
Hell yeah.
I don't want ice.
Those are my niggas.
I fuck with ice and ish.
I don't want them to think that I got any smoke from my mat.
Too late.
It ain't no smoke from my niggas.

You know what I mean It wasn't nothing personal With Ice and Ish It could have been anybody it just to me just that it just that was just nasty you know i mean it wasn't nothing personal with ice and ish it could have been any two people it
just was because that's not what this that's that's not what it what it is it's not what the
show is you know i'm saying and and for me knowing what was going on internally behind the scenes
it was like you know so if me i should do a podcast you wouldn't be a guest
if you and i i should do a podcast would i be and Ish do a podcast, you wouldn't be a guest? If you and Ice and Ish do a podcast, would I be a guest?
I'm not saying I wouldn't be a guest, but.
Could we get you to be a guest like you did on Seed of Thinking?
Sure.
I don't like it.
Yeah, I don't care.
Ish is on my other podcast that I didn't invite you to.
I actually put Ish in the podcasting before you, but I didn't even want to touch that.
Look, look, look.
Cop it, please.
Look, look, look. Cop it, please. Look, look, look. Cop it, please. Cop it, please.
Please am I cop it.
It's definitely
nothing to them.
It just was like,
nah, I don't want
to look at that.
That's just,
you know what I mean?
Like, you just see
something that you
built and
you see what's at.
Did you follow me back?
No, right?
No.
Nah.
Can we do it on air? Can we No. Can we do it on air?
Can we clear the air and do it on air?
Get the follow back?
Wait, did you unfollow after he?
You need to reciprocate?
No, I'm me.

The Jenners.
I don't know why I heard the jazz.
I was like, wait, I was chilling with the jazz?
No, Maul was with the jazz.
Trying to see if they could beat Phoenix.
I have never met the Jenners or even seen them in person.
What about the jazz?
I've been, I think I've been to probably a the jazz community. Rory's a lazy sack of shit.
This nigga's been gone
for five weeks
and still couldn't
finish the album.
You are fucking a loser.
I burnt all my emotional
oranges and merged

I did enjoy running into
the listeners that did care in person.
I was in L.A.
And you know fans will really want to care and give you real cliche jewels and shit.
I was in L.A. drinking some peppermint tea on my laptop, chilling in a little cafe.
God put so much on your plate because he knows you can eat.
Just keep up with the power, bro.
And I felt him.
Dog.
You said, mm?
Dog.
Like the encouragement I got,
I enjoyed.
It was very funny.
Well, did you find Joe Spadio?
God put some...
Yeah.
No, I got to check with him.
It didn't pop up on my rhythms.
Damn.
Yeah, that shit was funny.
Funny how that worked, right?
They know you're out of rhythms. They got me right out of your right? They got me right out of your rhythms.
They got me right out of your rhythms.
It was like four Joes ahead of you.
Damn, Joe.
Look at Rory.
Make a paparazzi.
TMZ Roars.
Wait, why are you guys snapping pics of me?
I am no one.
I mean, listen, I was enjoying a
calm. Bieber was not
in there. Somebody put this
footage together. I did not see Justin Bieber.
I did not see the Jenners. I was having a
quiet one-on-one dinner with my
mans. I did not see Tyga.
I didn't see any of these people.
I was literally went from the studio
in my sweatpants and dirty
long-sleeve shirt. And my man was like, yo, you want to grab some food before everything closed? I was like, from the studio in my sweatpants in dirty long sleeve shirt.
And my man was like, yo, you want to grab some food before everything closed?
I was like, bet.
My man.
Who said that?
Division?
No, not Division.
Who was trying to eat with you?
Division and the Jenners.
Nasty ass dinner.
That would be a nasty fucking dinner.
Yo, listen.
Now that we've gotten the tough shit out of the way, I'll tell you guys. I called Rory the other day concerned.
Like, yo, man, go home.
Mom.
Mom.
Rory would not get Rory.
He'd been home for five weeks.
Nigga was at the Jenner's Crib.
I was not.
LA.
I've never met a Jenner in my life.
Kyle Dion studio everywhere.
I was there.
He was at all of Kyle Dion's studio
Atlanta, Alaska
I'm like yo

I had to do some
finishing touches man

I went to LA
I minded my fucking business
I didn't go outside
stayed in the studio
I went to grab
one glass of wine
and some shitty LA pizza
walk outside
now it's mad
fucking photographs
people walk
I'm glad they didn't
post of when I
walked down the street
and they kept asking
about the podcast
you're wasting
your digital film
that's infinite
I'm not gonna say anything
you're wasting
your digital film
that's infinite
like stop wasting this
like go back
to where the people
that are popular are

I don't know what to say

LA was not the place
to go in the midst
of our
I'm so sick of that.

missing girls.
I'm like, yo, dog,

You could tell.
I don't buy more

How many underscores, though?
I don't even know, man.
Are we friends?
Why don't I know?
I was right uptown man chilling
i believe it's right uptown you find a new spot yeah nice yeah i didn't move in yet but yeah i
found it okay oh new crib new friends i see what you was No, it's not. Is that how the hook went? Flooded it out. Bust Joe right out
with the flood.
Yo, if you think about it,
mall's apartment flooded.
Joe flooded my laptop
with Jameson.
There's a lot of metaphors
going on.
They connect.
They connect somewhere.
I see what he did, man.
All right.
Let's get to business, man.
Justin Bieber has dreads.
Roy told me to go.
When they were at dinner.
I braided them at that venue.
I feel like for the Get Back Together, man,
we should all, like, do karaoke to this.
Who wants to be T-Boz?
Come on.
Let's go, mom.
Every now and then, I'm going to be feeling cool.
Hey.
Come on.
No, you're not going to do it?
All right.
I see the level of enthusiasm
is still here.
Was this the video
when they had all the condoms and it was like,
wait, what does this have to do with the song? Yeah. That was the video. Mo, what did you think of Was this the video When they had all the condoms And it was like wait What does this have to do
With the song
Yeah
Alright
That was the video
Moe what did you think
Of Ice's outfits in your chair
Did you see any of them
Did you get a chance
To take a look
Take a gander
That's why he unfollowed you
He just told us
He said it was a mess
Y'all trying to create that
No
Y'all trying
I keep trying to create things right
That's not
He said it's not fashion.
That's low fashion.
People were sending me shit.
I was just laughing with them.
They're y'all stupid.
That's Ice, man.
What you think?
I don't know Ice.
Why the hell I don't know what Ice for years?
That's who he is.
And Ice is going to tell you.
He's going to tell you.
Let me tell you what my theories are about you and Ice.
About me and Ice?
Uh-oh.
You ready?
You have theories?
Okay.
Don't hit me.
That's really why I move seats.
I'm chilling, bro.
I'm chilling.
In my head, you hit West Side Gun to say, yo, have you heard the pod lately, man?
It's a guy named Ice on there, bugging out.
And then West Side Gun came at Ice over whatever Ice has been saying.
And let me tell y'all, baby.
Wait, Ice and Westside had a little smoke?
Yeah.
Yeah, they did a little change on Twitter.
It's happening right now.
Can we pull it up?
Yo, you got to follow Ice.
I follow Ice.
I don't know.
It's pretty funny.
I don't know who you follow anymore.
He deleted his account, but only Westside could tweet it.
His Twitter's still active, not his Instagram.
I don't even know Ice had an Instagram.
I don't know the status of nigga's socials.
Yeah, about him, you know, I don't really...
But you have to squash this now that you're back.
All right, but tell me what happened.
I don't know what's going on.
Look what you're tasked with.
Yeah, what happened, though?
Click the D-dot tweet.
You know that Ice has been saying he ain't really a big fan of Griselda,
and I guess members of Griselda heard it. Ice has been saying he ain't really a big fan of Griselda, and I guess members of Griselda heard it.
Ice has been saying that, yeah.
And replied.
Well, can you read it?
No.
My eyes are bad.
The people who've never been fly or sold out.
Back to this.
Or sold out.
I miss co-hosts that can read.
Or only drink champagne, never been to jail,
and or never worn a $1,000 sneaker.
Say I'm trash, though.
And D-Dot says, damn, officially. Okay, so D-Dot threw Ice in this. been to jail or and or never worn a thousand dollar sneakers say i'm trash though and d dot
says damn officially okay so d dot threw ice in this yeah maybe wes wasn't talking about ice maybe
yeah i didn't even get me and what happened after that ice right there at the top
why are you saying damn to me he's still trash oh okay now see the he's still trash is now you
if he wasn't talking about you, now he's talking about you.
I love cyber niggas.
I said, if you've never been to jail, you wouldn't get the jail bars.
You ever ate burgers on a Wednesday?
You ever ate chicken on a Thursday?
Might sound trash to you, but if you've been to the feds, you would get that. Now, if you never did shit for the culture or fed multifams, y'all word ain't shit.
See, I read all that and said, why are the feds eating better than jail?
It's federal.
More funding.
Chicken on Thursday.
I love chicken.
Watch yourself.
That federal is...
Black man loving chicken.
Oh, that's not ice.
Wait, what? I didn't even connect
what you were talking about.
I was getting down to the root of the systemic way that federal crimes are treated better than state crimes.
Well, let me not say all federal cases, but all those white collar crimes that they consider federal are treated like they're at fucking summer camp.
And then people that sell marijuana in the state are treated like fucking animals.
But neither here nor there.
Sure.
Did you guys watch X's celebration at the Barclays Center?
I did, and I want to talk about it.
But I am a little offended that the back of your shirt has the fucking nerve to say,
friendship through basketball.
It didn't work through potting.
We've been trying to do this
two-on-two game forever.
You don't think this is
smacking her face?
I thought it was a good thing.
That's where we'll reserve the friendship.
Damn, man.
We should have settled
the rim right up the street.
Let's settle this
on the basketball court.
Listen, man.
Rest in peace
DMX. Rest in peace
Shaq G. Rest in peace Black Rob.
Rest in peace all the rappers that we have lost,
of course. Over the weekend, they did
have services for X.
I watched Sunday, not Saturday.
I watched all of the clips on the internet of the bikes.
I really did love the monster truck.
I did.
I thought it was fly.
That was amazing.
I did think that there was a lot of attention to detail paid
and just how this was done, the ride from Yonkers to Brooklyn.
I liked at the Barclays
when they had the pictures of him
at the bottom of the stage.
It never dawned on me
to treat a home-going ceremony
kind of like a performance,
even though we've seen performances.
We've seen Michael Jackson,
James Brown.
We've seen them go.
Nipsey's too.
There was performances as well.
But what I mean is
even the treatment of this stage
where they put the faces
on the bottom
I mean DMX's face
on the bottom
like he was about to come out
I like the red casket
just how they built that stage
was beautiful
within the choir as well
and yeah
just whoever really
creatively designed
that entire thing
at the Barclays Center
it was beautiful
that shit was
truly a celebration of X.
I love the beginning of having all his kids up there.
And I'm not sure if that was one of his baby mothers that started talking first
of just saying that, hey, we're all here to get along for X.
There's no disagreements.
We have all his kids together.
Everyone that was part of his life, there is no disagreements in this type of shit.
Because so many times you see with death death and funerals of how families and associates amongst families and other you know people that are
involved turn into like some crazy fucking argument and i i thought that was super beautiful to have
all his kids and and everyone involved in his family up there saying, hey, we're here for X and X only.
There is no disagreement. Their only focus
now is celebrating this man.
I thought that was fire.
Yeah.
It was sad,
but it was a beautiful ceremony.
It was good to
see a lot of the original Rough Rider
faces
there to pay homage and pay respects to DMX.
I didn't get to speak to you more when X passed.
I almost want to ask you how it affected you, but that seemed like a stupid question.
Yeah, I mean, it was tough, but I think the week leading up to it, I think we kind of
all knew.
You was getting news daily on his condition and stuff like that.
But it was sad because we, in the last, I want to say maybe year and a half, we started to see more of X.
We started to see him get his flowers, quote unquote, you know, doing interviews.
Versus.
The verses.
So it started to feel like, like you know people were appreciating x
for the legend that he was and is and um it's just sad to see that it was you know
it was it was it was it was a short a short moment um but it was it was sad for another
reason because of what x you know his lyrics over the years x was basically a gospel
rapper yeah you know i mean um he was just raw his emotions um his faith you know you know we
have no question that x is is in heaven you know i mean like that's just the type of person and the
man that he he was um but it was just tough man because we just keep losing our legends man
we keep losing such big icons in our culture and i feel like it i don't know if it's we're not doing
enough i don't know if we're not you know paying attention to the legends enough but it's something
it's it's just it's a weird feeling man it's almost like we can't see our legends grow old you know i mean it's like we we don't see our legends really grow old you know i'm saying like
50 is not old to me i don't know if you want to step definitely not you know i mean so it's like
it's it's an eerie thing man because you know i remember the first time i heard x you know i'm
saying like i still remember that day. Specifically.
So to now know that all of those years and now he's gone is just,
I don't know, it's an eerie feeling, man.
It's a real difficult time for the coach, I think.
But I think we should pay attention.
I like what Swiss was saying.
We need to show up for each other while we're still here.
Yeah, I felt that too.
I think that was very important because, again, man, we don't get to see
our legends grow old
and grow comfortable.
I hate to be the guy.
What?
I didn't love it.
Why, him sandwiching
himself for each other
while we're here?
I didn't love it.
Why?
You don't think that
that's a true statement?
It is a true statement.
Why do you don't like it?
Don't use my funeral
to say true statements.
And I'm not talking about Swiss.
I'm not talking about Swiss
and X and their relationship
and what he felt.
I don't know anything
about any of that. I'm just saying how i felt listening to it i mean maybe i
felt that way largely in part because it may have been true it may have run true but at that moment
when you say that if i walk in the house and say yo, ain't nobody sweep the fucking floor, man.
What the fuck?
Like, I'm talking to the people
that didn't sweep the floor.
Like, he's talking to the people
that maybe didn't show up.
Yeah.
But that's important
because now you know,
yo, show up for your people
when they're here.
Yeah, but at my home,
at my home going in again,
I have all the respect
in the world for Swiss,
D, Y, X.
Please don't misconstrue this.
And I apologize if maybe I shouldn't even be saying how i felt about it at the time but i get it and when it's me
please don't use my home going to uh highlight the things that you wish people would have done
while i was here i get what you're saying but i'm not saying that about them because maybe the
feeling was overwhelming
please please
and it could have been
a general statement too
may not have been
specific to anyone
on that stage
or in that crowd
but you know what
I do want to highlight
the fact that
you know fuck how
I feel about it
my feelings ain't
important here
like we all lost
a brother
these gentlemen
lost a brother
right
I think that
what is being stated
and some of the things that occurred
from what I saw
are commonalities at a lot of funerals
that I've been to, right?
Where somebody gets up there
and does speak to some of you niggas.
Yeah, yeah.
But it's necessary sometimes.
And says names.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah names yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
that part I don't like
don't single nobody out
I don't
that just turns it weird
but I understand
I understand what Swizz
was saying
it's like yo
let's take care of each other
while we can still take care
of each other
absolutely right
I don't even
I don't want it to make it seem
like I'm even responding
I get what you're saying
I get what you're saying
we know it's just
I just put myself
in the situation
that's all
I get it
yeah but I understood it.
It's more so like, yo, listen, take care of each other while we still can.
Don't wait till we're gone to try to be around and comfort and try to help out.
It's like, yo, while we still here, let's help each other out.
Let's be there for each other.
And I understood that.
You know what I mean?
I understood that.
And I think that it was important that he said that.
And again, man, it's just something about the culture in hip hop.
I don't know what it is, but it seems like we can't watch our legends grow old.
I don't know why that is.
You know what I mean?
It's just weird.
It's real weird to me.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero.
Rob Markman, The X-Zero. Rob Markman, The X-Zero. Rob Markman, The X-Zero. Rob Markman, The X-Zero. Rob Markman, The X-Zero. It's really unfortunate and just sad because I felt like for the last year and a half, people really started to really give X the props and the respect and the flowers that he deserved.
Yeah, this is when you got to take a long, hard look at the culture that you live and love so much.
I am not shocked by that.
Like one of the hard, cold, harsh realities of this thing is this is a business that profits off of the broken.
Hey, and thank you for even there being an opportunity for the broken to flourish this way.
What I just say to all the fucking creators and entertainers out there is like,
you got to make sure you don't break from being broken.
Like what X was able to do with it, you might not ever see again.
No.
God no.
When you living with the type of pain that I think he lived with,
and I don't even have to think, I heard all his loved ones get up there and say it.
Everybody that loved him got up there and said, yeah, thank God he's not in pain no more.
I did love what Styles did say
and I think it spoke,
you know,
I didn't have the pleasure
of knowing DMX personally,
but you could kind of feel it
through the music,
but of Styles saying that,
you know,
every day you saw X,
he was in pain,
but instead of taking that pain out
on other people,
he used that
and only gave out love
to everyone.
Like,
that spoke a lot to me
when he said that.
Like,
every day I saw this person, they were in pain.
And, you know, a lot of times in the cases that we've spoke about a bunch of times,
hurt people hurt people and things of that nature.
X, say, yo, X took that and instead just gave out love to every single person that he saw.
He didn't want people in the same pain that he knew too well.
So when Styles said that, I thought that said so much about X's character.
I don't know if I've ever been
to a funeral
that went according
to the schedule
and the pamphlet
that I was reading.
Of course not.
No, for real.
There's always one person
that feels compelled
by the moment
and wants to get up there
and speak to their love.
And they might not have been on the little pamphlet thing.
I don't think that's ever not happened at a funeral I've been to, unfortunately.
I actually don't like the times.
I've been to a few funerals where they don't give that opportunity where they say,
if anyone has anything to say about this person, please have the floor.
I don't even like when they don't do that in funerals.
Yes, people get in the moment of the funeral and feel certain things and should have the ability. I don't even like when they don't do that at funerals. Yes, people get in the moment of the funeral
and feel certain things
and should have the ability
to say them.
I'm not sure
if I like when they do it.
I like when they do it.
That be the moment
where somebody come up here
that I didn't write down.
Nigga, I was alive
during my will.
I didn't write you
to come up here and speak.
You didn't put him on the list?
Well, you know,
a lot of people
don't have wills.
Well, I'm not talking
about that
which I think
Swizz brought
into that
into that too
which I thought
was a good point
it's funny
me and my mom
had that exact conversation
this weekend too
it was weird
when I was watching that
what'd she leave you
no she was just
she was saying that
you had to check it out
no no
she hasn't done one
oh you're my only child
true
this is where the
entitlement comes from
duh you know I have a brother she was saying she's about to do her will she was like She hasn't done one. Oh, you're my only child. True. That's where the entitlement comes from.
Duh, I have a brother.
She was saying she's about to do her will.
She was like, you need to do one.
Stop getting in your head that that means death is around the corner.
Like, you got to get your affairs in order early.
Before, and it's kind of to what Swizz was saying there.
Like, you don't want somebody else that just happens to be in your next in your bloodline that they're like legally the person that should be handling this,
not the one you want to handle this shit. So, yeah yeah i had a deep conversation with my mom about that so she was like i'm putting this with this person this person
like i was like i feel you the mall saying we don't get to see our legends age right but i got
some type of ptsd involved with just coming in here to speak about death so often yeah i do believe that words have
meaning and i'd be conflicted because i don't want to come in here and not pay the respect that i
have for people but i also believe that if i just come in here talking about death once a week
yeah start yeah yeah yeah man it is it is but i mean to to x's music and and even to a lot of our legends that we have
have passed that spoke specifically to death i mean that's the catch-22 of artistry sometimes
that they feel so close and impelled to it unfortunately they express it better than
anyone else and people relate to it and that's what makes them such good artists but in turn
you're constantly talking about death you're constantly talking about negative things
and that's kind of what makes them such a legend because we can relate to those feelings because
they express them much better than we do and are closer to than than we are and at every funeral
like the person that lost it over the funeral you got to deal with them like it's some people that's not handling it as well as others uh and i won't get
too far down it's uh the rabbit hole of when the family anchor is the one that dies or when the
glue when the glue is the one that dies i have my now have my grandfather this past april y'all
think we gotta come in here and shift through podcast issues when things are great.
Imagine that, showing up to the fucking funeral.
It's a glue.
Granddad is dead or some shit.
Yeah, now let's get the smoke out the way, nigga.
That one person that can tell everyone to shut the fuck up and bring some order into this family is now gone?
Yeah.
In the middle of a funeral?
Yeah, it's never good.
Yeah, that's the worst. Find worst how your family really feel about you
that's it tweeted that this past week when i was at a funeral this weekend you'll find out exactly
how your family feels about every single member during a funeral it'll happen but i mean i let's
stay away from that this this was a beautiful beautiful beautiful going away ceremony um shout
out rough riders did
you guys ever have the chance to kick it with x i don't know yeah well i mean if you had any
stories or anything because we we you know weren't here when uh when x had passed yeah
you and i have had a conversation you know how much x x is one of my favorite rappers ever and
what you meant to me i told my stories when he was alive that That's my thing. I ain't waiting on nobody go for me to talk about how I loved him, praised him, adored him, respected him.
And I'm grateful that I had the chance to say that to him directly.
Actually, most of the people that left, now that I'm thinking about it, that passed, not left.
I got the chance to tell them to their face how much I loved and appreciated them.
Nipsey was the only one I wish I got a better chance to do that with,
because I just felt like a pull up with me and I'm sitting down talking to him
to just the way that the brain has to work of the guy who sold the a hundred
dollar CD in 2011 or whatever year it was.
Yeah.
I think it was 2011.
10 or 11.
Yeah.
We got to,
we got to speak to this person.
Yeah, absolutely. That would have been a great combo yeah and yeah your music i even just outside
looking in i feel would be complete influence x would have been a huge huge one but back to my
ptsd i'll be honest with both you gentlemen we was going through our uh pod dilemmas, I said, oh, this will be a bad time for me to drop dead tomorrow.
Like,
I have to stay alive
to see the end of the,
to see the resolve.
Like,
even that's a luxury.
That was a lot of sentiment
of the fans.
Yeah,
like,
we could,
we all here,
like,
Rory over there,
Molls over there,
yeah,
we could beef or not talk
or not get it together,
but,
and that's cool.
And so somebody's dead. dead I mean you and I spoke
the morning X died
yeah
definitely wasn't anything
to do with podcast stuff
yeah
you cried to me
X dying was a really
really big
thing to me
X has always been
one of my favorite rappers
ever
don't
I know
don't cry to me
and question our friendship
that's like
don't call me don't ever don't buy me a mattress you know This has always been one of my favorite rappers ever. I know. Don't cry to me and question our friendship. That's like too much.
Don't call me.
Don't ever come.
Never mind.
Don't buy me a mattress.
You know.
He was crying too.
Shut up.
And I'm getting rid of that mattress.
Pat, are you in that mattress?
Haven't had a good night's sleep yet.
Oh, my God.
Yo, buddy. The demons can't figure it out. Yo, ever since it happened, my back has been killing me. haven't had a good night's sleep yet oh my god yo buddy
yo
ever since it happened
my back has been killing me
I know
man cricks in my back
no come on man
don't try to
brush over Justin Bieber
getting dreads
somebody answer to it
somebody answer to it
and let me
and let me apologize
to the fans
this is a horrible
I've done a horrible job with these topics
to go from our mess to the X funeral.
Well, you know.
Like, man.
I mean.
Debbie Downer.
Did I play outstanding?
No.
No, I don't think so.
Just Wilson and Phillips.
Come on, man.
Well, rest in peace, X.
Yeah, rest in peace, X, man.
Rest in peace, X.
Thank you for everything you've given us in this culture.
Yeah.
Prayers to the family.
Prayers to the friends.
And one last thing that Kiss said during the ceremony of,
we made it because of DMX, but we made it before DMX.
And all he did was big us up.
We made it because of X, and then we got it before DMX. And all he did was big us up. We made it because of X.
And then we got on before X.
And he was the reason.
And all he did was champion us.
Won a bitter bone in his body.
Wasn't trying.
All he cared about was getting us on.
Yeah, that's why Ice and Ish should be on your album.
You should champion them. Ice and Ish should be on your album. You should champion them.
Ice and Ish put me on?
Maybe.
Look at this nigga.
No, I'm cutting this off.
Somebody answer to it.
I can't look at Bieber with the trends.
There's a list of people that I can't come in here and speak honestly about
because the fans say, hey hey man, you have a hard
on to get this person out of the paint.
Paul's hard on and Justin
Bieber's on that list.
Justin Bieber, Kanye,
there's some more people on that list.
Justin Timberlake, who we can go into now or later.
They're doing a, the people who did the
surviving Britney Spears
doc are doing a surviving
Janet Jackson
from the Super Bowl performance doc?
See, but that's the thing.
I don't care to know anything
about Justin Timberlake
unless a new slap comes out.
No.
I don't care what he's doing.
You know who I want to hear from
in the surviving Justin Bieber doc
is, what's his name,
Lil Twist?
Who was the kid he was hanging out with
that they blamed all his fucking
fuckity fuck actions on? Oh, it's because he's with little twist or whatever i forgot the gentleman's name
framing he needs to be on that fucking dot because justin bieber did all that fucking bullshit
all that illegal shit all that stupid shit and well it's because he's hanging out with this guy
it's like not guys mind his fucking business in the corner this is the fucking idiot oh no
there's words oh he gave us words for the you idiot. Oh, no. There's words.
Oh, he gave us words for the dress?
You know he's going to give us
some God words
after he does something.
Oh, my God.
I like the Justin Rebrand.
I'm sorry, man.
I like it.
Bieber or Timberlake?
Bieber.
Yo, he did not.
He put out a great album.
Yo, he did a Comedy Central roast
and then got up there
and was like,
I wasn't close enough to God
as I was before Viacom
and all the people watching.
I'm now no longer
want to hang out
with black people.
I'm going to go back
to being white
so you guys can accept me.
That's what happened on that.
Fuck Justin Bieber
and his rebrand.
And his dreads.
And his Martin Luther King
album insert.
I didn't know that existed.
It's a good album.
You like that?
You like that more? It's a good album. You like that? You like that more?
It's a good album.
It inspired you?
He got some joints on his album.
Some joints on there, man.
I mean, what you want me to do?
You know, music, as long as you put out a good music,
that's all I care about from these guys.
We can talk shit about them, but you put out good music,
you got to say you put out good music.
He has an MLK interlude?
Yes.
The intro of the whole album, I believe.
All right, man.
They didn't show that at Delilah's.
I did not see Justin Bieber.
I was not at Delilah's, and I did not see Justin Bieber.
This is disgusting.
Roy already said it.
I'm not going to say it.
I'm cool.
The MLK interlude?
You don't like it?
No, the whites with dreads.
I don't give a fuck about this kid.
Oh, the whites with dreads.
I'm sorry.
I don't give a fuck about this kid. You wasn't feeling his album? No. Really? No. I thought you would have like it no the whites with dreads I don't give a fuck about this kid I'm sorry I don't give a fuck about this kid
you wasn't feeling
this album
no
really
no
I thought you would've liked it
it was no journals
oh I'm
I don't compare it
I don't think it was
a good album though
I just
the elephant in the room
of the artists
that are allowed
to have these mental breakdowns
and be forgiven
and just say
they're with God now
is I'm over it.
Like, sorry, you don't get this any,
there's so many other people that do not get the luxury
that they completely fuck up and make one mistake
when they're a kid.
Justin Bieber did that for two decades
and every time he does it, it's like,
well, I read the Bible last week
and I really see my ways differently now.
But what if he did? People are allowed to make mistakes.
And I have no idea what it's like to be the most famous, richest person ever when you're 13.
I was giving him a lot of leeway for a long time.
It's just now getting insane.
And I see the way his team blames it on so many other people instead of him.
That's where I get mad.
That's why I need to hear from people in the surviving Justin Bieber.
It's a great team.
Scooter just found the person.
Great team. And's a great team. Scooter just found the person. Great team.
And then go to God.
They can't knock that.
Once you start singing about God
and you married now
and it's like, fam, look, man,
it's a whole package that we're giving you.
That upper echelon of A-list stars
that can just be like,
all right, everything's getting fucked up.
Let's just have a mental breakdown
and we can fix it.
Kanye don't even get that luxury.
No.
They kill Kanye's mental breakdowns.
Yeah.
Bieber's is just like,
well, you know,
he did three Hail Marys
and two Our Fathers
and he's fine.
White privilege.
That's of course what it is.
Yeah, absolutely.
Thousand percent what it is.
But well, he has dreads now,
so I don't know if that changes things.
Those aren't dreads.
He just,
he was at home,
bored,
and just twisted his hair
while he was on the couch.
Those are dreads.
That's like when you're,
that's when your 13-year-old
finds out what marijuana
and the Phish album is.
They listen to what Oasis
or whatever that fucking band is.
Yeah, they got,
put some tie-dye in the walls.
It's like,
ooh, I'm really into
the Rolling Stones now.
Like, that's what,
that's what this is.
That's when they get
on their artsy shit.
Yeah, I'm not. Yeah, those aren't dreads. Whatever is. That's when they get on their artsy shit. Yeah, I'm not.
Yeah, those aren't.
Whatever, Justin.
He was just on the couch twisting his hair.
Playing with some Elmers.
Yeah, took a flick.
Nothing serious.
Has there been a better Justin Bieber song than All That Matters to Me since it came out?
I wouldn't know.
I like the new joint with Gideon.
Well, I love Gideon And I fuck with Daniel Caesar
Yeah
I think it's
I think it's cute
That Justin Bieber's
Ad-libbing
Bad bitch
In the background
Like I think it's corny
It's just
I get the record's
Good
It's a good
Polished pop record
I get it
But I don't want to hear
Justin Bieber
Ad-libbing
Bad bitch
In the background
I just
I don't care
What about with the dreads? Does that change The ad-lib? Why you in the background. I just don't care. What about with the dreads?
Does that change the ad-lib?
Why you didn't get your dreads?
Why you didn't get your dreads?
I'm excited to cut my hair off instead.
But then if I was responsible for mine.
You should have dreaded yours.
I've had dreads before.
Parks walk so Bieber can run?
Exactly.
The Goldilocks.
My shit just goes into dreads after one day anyway.
I cut it because it was going into dreads after one day anyway, so I cut it because
it was going into dreads.
It's all good.
Fair enough.
Come on,
Moe,
shake shit up.
Shake shit up?
Yeah,
shake shit up.
You didn't get your birthday.
Alex was talking about
when I was talking about
Snowfall's better than the wire.
That kind of took off on him.
I read that shit.
I was like,
man,
Moe home dying
to get the takes out.
God damn. I had just finished watching the season finale of Snowfall I read that shit I was like Man I'm all home Dying to get the takes out Like god
God damn
I had just finished watching
The season finale of
Of Snowfall
And I was like
Bro listen
You can just
Just look at the story
Look where the
The acting
Look where the story can go
Like
It's not even
This is one of the best shows
We've ever
And I understand
It's only four seasons
Huh?
It's not even close
No
I think Snowfall
It's at least close Jesus No We're not even gonna say no i think snowfall is at least close jesus no we're not even
gonna say no the wire is better than snowfall no snowfall ends then we can have that debate
hell no why is the why why is the why snowfall is fire i'm not getting to it okay but why do
you feel like the wire is better than a better character than omar on snowfall a better character
than omar yeah i mean but you you, it's not, see,
because that was the thing.
People wanted Omar.
But to me,
Teddy is just as gangster.
No, on follow back.
He's just,
Teddy McDonald, Teddy McDonald is just as gangster, bro.
Like he killed a journalist.
Okay, was he gay though?
He may be.
We don't know.
We haven't seen his,
we haven't seen his sex capades yet.
We don't know what,
you know what I mean What he's into
That's true
But it's like
He's gangsta
Bro he went to Cuba
He is gangsta
To finish
Franklin's father
You thought you was good
You a rat homie
I'm getting you
Out of here
You don't know that
Did he ever
Rob a man
You don't know that
You don't know that
I didn't like
How the mom
Sashayed out the crib
Ass just wagging Wagging it around mom Sashayed out the crib Ass just wagging
Wagging it around
When your girl leave out the crib
With her ass wagging it around
She going to fuck a nigga
Or send a nigga to you to kill you
Nah
That's what's happening
Niggas ain't think she's headed to the store
Oh shit look
She sashaying to the store
Nah that was her
Yo we in Cuba
This is our life now
Like I'm just going to the market
Nah this is like a a setup waggle to me
nah nah
she ain't
she wouldn't do that
but Teddy is just
this gangster
and he's CIA
he's protected
by the government
and that's why
I asked that question
who would you rather
have equal
Teddy or Omar
like Omar
nigga I'll take my chances
with Omar
Teddy
that's the CIA bro
you're not beating
the government
it's not happening
that's fair
I mean but
and I don't want to
I don't want to have
this whole debate.
And we just get no...
Like, I didn't like how people was just...
Now, granted, his tenure on the show hasn't been that long.
But Scully is just as gangster as Omar to me.
Excuse me?
All right.
Come on.
Yo, you got to be off the podcast.
Why not?
Why not?
He got beat up in a hospital.
He didn't get beat up in a hospital.
He was bleeding. Omar jumped out of the seventh story He didn't get beat up He was bleeding
Omar jumped out of
The seventh story
And didn't go to the hospital
He got a broken leg
And then robbed everyone's crack
And stepped on it
And said
And about money
Scully ain't kill nobody
Scully ain't kill nobody
And hurt nothing
Burned all those money
With a bone come out of his leg
First of all
I got more respect
For the niggas
That burned LeBron's jersey
In Cleveland
That nigga just in the hospital
crying at the bed. Let's be,
let's keep in mind that a kid killed Omar.
But that's how
the shit go, man. Yo, yo, he wanted
O's. A kid ain't killing Scully.
This nigga pouring leak in his bullet wound.
This nigga getting shot.
He pouring the dividend leak in his ear and his
bullet. I watched Straight Up Truth take a bullet
out of his arm in real life on Instagram.
Listen, man.
And has not stopped helping kids since.
Word.
It's funny how life goes, right?
It is so good.
Yo, now this morning I seen.
And behind George Floyd's attorney, too.
I see Trader Truth right there.
I love that, man.
That was great.
Shout out to Trader Truth.
Always.
No, Trader Truth.
It's the truth.
Hey, y'all thought it was something when J. Cole pulled up to that fan's house to announce the album.
No, Trey the Truth is at every kid's house to support them.
I'm like, yo, when does he have time to take the bullets out of them?
He's doing work.
That's a good dude right there.
Mice.
Like, as I age, I'm thankful for these people that are doing the work,
like the real work.
I am.
Nah, for real.
Shout out to these guys, man.
Yeah, absolutely.
While we are on Snowfall, and I don't know if this adds to Maul's point,
took me a long time to get used to Franklin's accent,
like his real's accent. Like his real life
accent. Niggas on Twitter said
he running around LA sounding like
Count Dracula.
He's from LA.
You know who's
his, I guess, speech
coach for the show is Mac 10.
Oh, wow.
Wait, excuse me.
Snoop from The Wire didn't need a speech coach.
Wow.
She caught a body in real life.
She wasn't acting.
I think Scully did too, though.
The dude that played Scully, he just came home a few years ago.
Allegedly.
Well, allegedly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Somebody said on Twitter that they want to ask anyone from Baltimore how to pronounce Hulu.
That's funny.
What do you guys think of Jerome's voice?
I got you.
I got you.
That's a voice over.
That's not his real voice.
We'll knock that bad boy
out ten times in a row.
That's a same fall.
We'll knock that bad boy out ten times in a row. That same fall. We'll knock that bad boy out ten times in a row.
That's not his voice.
That's not his real voice.
That was a voiceover.
No, that's him.
Okay, yeah.
Him doing the voiceover?
Yeah.
Because I heard that and I'm like, wait a second.
I've heard this guy's voice before.
I know Duke.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He wasn't talking like that

Why y'all ain't boycotting the show?
That's the real question.
Should we be?
What happened?
I missed it.
Because y'all fake.
His favorite rapper is Rick Ross.
You think Moe's going to boycott this?
Yeah, he boycotted this.
You're fucking right I did.
He on Twitter.
There's no fall.
I like this motherfucker better.
He was in business with Freeway and his favorite rapper is Rick Ross.
Why would I be boycotting this, though?
They stole his life story.
He didn't get no money.
Respect.
Nigga, what's your life like?
Mine's real.
Everything's signed and sealed.
I mean, it's loosely based.
You don't care, right?
It's loosely based.
Fucking moral mall over here.
No, it's loosely based.
It's loosely based.
It's fired by.
It's loosely based. And our loosely based. It's fired by. It's loosely based.
And our fight was loosely based on our contract.
No, it's never about that.
It's never about that.
But he should receive some type of something from this show, though.
Honestly.
Freeway?
Yeah.
He should.
I agree with that.
But I mean, I'm not going to boycott the show because of that.
Because it is loosely based.
Who are you rooting for in the show?
As far as what?
I don't know.
Just when you watch it.
Are you rooting for Franklin?
Oh, yeah.
He's a CIA.
Is he?
Well.
Not really, but.
I guess we'll see.
Yeah, he's not.
But I understand what you're saying.
But yeah.
I'd be conflicted.
I'm rooting for him, though.
Only because if you've been
Watching from the beginning
Like if you go look back
At the first
Like few episodes
He's the man
Like you just see the
But he's CIA
Well
Yes and no
That's how crack got in the community
I understand what you're saying
But it's a partnership
I'm not mad at crack
Getting in the community
Don't go in the homeless shelter
And tell everybody
He kicked the kids out The grandma The granddad was looking I'm not mad at crack getting in the community. Don't go in the homeless shelter and tell everybody. He kicked the kids out.
The grandma, the granddad was looking at him like, come on.
Hey, come on, brother.
This shit is close.
Yeah, that was kind of foul, man.
Listen, if you ask me how I feel about the season, I loved it.
I thought that episode nine really, really accelerated.
And I loved the finale.
But boy, did they spend eight episodes making me think that
what's this nigga named Leon yeah boy they made me think he was tough I thought Scully was tough
his sister was tough but they spoke him I just thought a lot of people I thought Franklin would
run into a lot more problems than he did nigga turning the Kaiser Soul Say at the end put the
cane up I thought he was shooting her nigga went home got a sandwich like fam that was my only
issue but I loved it.
I loved it.
Now, I hope they don't take four hours, I mean, four years to come back.
Nah.
They would have been back if it wasn't for COVID.
No, you got to shut up.
They doing The Wire right now in Queens just because of that shit you're saying.
Uh-oh, season seven.
They brought it back.
They hit it.
Just for you.
Uh-oh.
We're more than best.
The Harlem edition of The Wire.
That's funny.
Yeah, nah, I see them
coming back before the year's out, though.
Nah, it'll be next year.
End of the year? I could see them coming back end of the year.
For sure. That's ambitious. I hope so, but
that's ambitious. Yeah, I could see it.
You think it's a better written show than The Wire?
So far, yeah. I don't know. You still asking him?
Yeah. I'm trying to fully
understand it. Every character in The Wire was both
good and bad, And it was fucking crazy
The Wire is the perfect show
It literally shows you how
Everything that happens
Within the drug world, the political world, the police world
The media world, the newspaper
The kids, like how all that's connected
Within one city and how they all
Buy into each other
It's a better show
I'm gonna argue it
Snowfall's a fucking amazing. I'm going to argue it.
Snowfall's a fucking amazing show, though.
I'm going to argue with you because Amari Hardwick DM'd me recently,
and I was phony.
I was like, I love your shit.
And I do love your shit, but I was like, thank God he didn't hear my Tank album critique.
But he hit me, right?
And he deserved that, though.
He did.
I like how he loves everybody.
I do.
But listen, I will try to defend it because I'm phony.
The Wire gave us what amazing artist.
You fucking guessed it.
Mack Wiles.
Own it.
You was out that summer.
I seen you in Greenhouse.
You was shaking your hips around.
Very record.
Shaking your hips around, right?
And gave us your best friend.
The one I give it to.
Michael B. Jordan.
That's true.
I'm concerned with the hit songs that have come out of these shows.
Power gave us Rho Teemee.
Yeah.
I don't know.
You saying, yeah, no, no, no.
You're not feeling me.
There's a meeting in my bed.
Yeah, nigga.
My bed.
Each other front. Wait, hold on, hold on. Yeah, you could be uncool for a second, nigga. My bed. Each other front.
Wait, hold on, hold on.
Yeah, you could be uncool for a second, Mark.
Come on.
I'm following you.
You just followed me back.
No, now you follow me.
No, I'm trying to see where you're going with this.
What hit song did Snowfall, even Empire had slaps on it.
What was the gay dude's name that was lying about the police on the subway?
Jussie.
Jussie.
He put out some slaps.
He did actually put out some slaps. A few n Jesse he put out some slaps he did actually put out

how Fox got the feature.
Hey, if I'd have saw
Fox and Hov,
I wouldn't have...
Oh, see, I got Hov.
Nah, this nigga got a classic.
Rest in peace, Fox.
Queen for the...
Listen,
I hate to make it uncomfortable, but I started something while you guys were gone,
and it's been a hit, so I have to continue it, even though I've been trying to not continue
it.
But boy.
Keep going?
Left and right.
Left and right.
I am not introducing this.
There's nothing to say.
Look at you using the new tricks you got from your new booze.
Booze? What are you talking about? There's nothing to say. Look at you using the new tricks you got from your new booze. Who?
What are you talking about?
That's funny, Brooks.
I think you're trying to get more to shoot me.
Fuck out of here.
I have no idea what y'all talking about.
I don't either, but I just think I know what Brooks is saying.
Luckily, you both come from hip-hop, right?
Oh, so you heard this lap.
And y'all know that the record labels have been jerking artists for years,
and one of the ways
to get around that
is to re-record your music
and you own it
it's yours
now are you for that
you for the creators and that
I get it
I understand
but I
I play it this way
I see why the record label
wanted to own this one
I see why the record label
said go ahead
I'm gonna listen
I'm gonna support
but I'm gonna listen
to that
to the old mix too, though.
Listen to the rough?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's not the rough.
Now,
I'm going to play
a little doozy here.
We've had,
who have we had
appear on this thing?
Alexander O'Neal twice.
He redid Saturday Love.
All his plays.
Don't play them either.
He tried to get that back. We did. Jay Holiday redid Bad. I All his plays. Don't blame him either. He tried to get that back.
We did.
Jay Holiday redid Bad.
I heard that one.
Huh?
Yeah.
What else we did?
It don't even matter.
Check this groove.
This Bad version is crazy.
Check out this slap.
Now, you got to be a V.
Some of y'all not old enough to know this.
Oh, we're going to let this vibe out right quick.
Turn this up.
Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore.
For some days, I said I wish I was a kid again.
Back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore.
Wait till the verse start.
Hold up.
Let's go.
When I was just a little nigga, bro, I looked up to my bigger bro, First star, hold up. Let's go.
This nigga sounds like he is dying.
How old is he now?
Man, if you don't get the fucking label,
they intellectual property.
That's fucked up.
That's the remaster.
Always trying to bag with these niggas selling laryngitis.
I was going to say,
if you guys do not think COVID is real
at this point,
what the fuck?
I can't go see my grandpa,
but you guys can bring
recording equipment
into these places?
Fam.
I get it, though.
You like this?
I don't like it,
but I get it.
I understand.
Okay.
Long again.
I would not be blasting
that version, though.
I get it.
Hey, Savon.
I won't be knocking.
Where does that play?
Right here. No, it don't. No, Savon. I won't be knocking. Where does that play? Right here.
No, it don't.
No, it don't.
This is getting deleted so fast out of the fucking Serato.
By the way, you can keep this on YouTube because no one's going to flag that.
Well, listen.
See?
And that's why foresight is so important, Savon.
What year were you born?
Ninety-four.
I didn't think that the people i think this
came out like 92 i didn't think that the people born in 94 would really care about this right
i'm bothered by it it's been remade so many times too though so even if you don't know that version
you know that sample and those lyrics that's when you use the mad records so i threw that out there first a little bit but uh i got worried about another song
and this one bothered me for real you can play the original first yeah yeah yeah yeah i gotta
do it some justice come on man jersey city's finest the amazing oh Milione the amazing please don't the impeccable I love PM don't this is a
classic absolutely boomerang 92 all of these people used to get the vibe or I never heard
this he probably still sound good, right? You're chilling.
He probably still sound good today, right?
I mean, I don't... Try to trick us with the remix?
He did this over.
Please, God.
I'm going to just wait
until the famous ad lib comes in.
Then we'll find something else to talk about.
Oh, my God.
This is going to hurt.
Oh, man.
This is a conundrum.
Don't do that.
I can't because it's going to hurt.
You ready?
No. Okay. Okay. We got Twinkle. Okay. Piano. Piano's voice don't age. Same key.
Look at him all.
It's the drop it
You vibin so far? No, he about to kill shit
Is it my turn
To wish you were lying here
I tend to dream you
When I'm not sleeping
Oh, badly
Oh shit To fictionalize my world Or even imagine your emotions
I can't tell. Nigga.
Wait.
Yo, put your lighters in the sky out there if you rockin' with me. Vibe with us, man, we hear them.
Hey!
That's one.
Oh shit, nigga took the harmonies out the chorus.
Listen.
Oh shit. He took the harmonies out the chorus. Listen. Oh shit.
He let the beat breathe.
Nah, he can't.
Nah, he can't.
See, that's the problem.
He couldn't let it breathe.
That's the problem with a classic record when you do that.
That's the problem.
He sound like he dying to die.
Sound like she left.
I see why she did.
She should have.
He's starting to understand her perspective now.
That's a slippery slope.
And I'm not doing it because that's Jersey City's finest PM Dawn.
Classic, classic record.
But y'all have got to give labels back their property.
That sound like something.
Or at least find the auto-tune.
Yeah.
Like, how hard is that?
It's right there under pitch.
What's the rule with that?
How different does it have to be from the original?
We got to make it really bad.
That I don't know.
Yeah, we would have to look into that.
What's the rule?
You can do it.
Just make it bad.
No, because some of these, Because I've been listening to them too
They're not new records
They just sound shittier
Like it's in the same key
It's the same
You just sound worse
It can't be anywhere close
To the original
It's supposed to go like this
You guys
Fucking hate working
With such novices
You just slowed
BPMs down?
Chopping school? And now it's mine again just slowed BPMs down. Chop and screw.
And now it's mine again.
Just got to chop and screw it?
Let me just put an uh-huh.
Uh-huh, uh-huh.
Anything that didn't exist
on the record before and now,
it's mine again.
Listen, the kids do that with,
hey, hey,
you go put some shit on
Instagram Live.
All the YouTube people that get paid are going to take it, add their words to what you did.
Yeah, of course.
And now it's theirs.
I mean, I just want y'all to stop.
Y'all are doing this to the slaps, like my favorite songs.
I might never be able to play I Would Die Without You again.
No, we can play it.
You're just going to play the one that we fell in love with.
Yeah.
The labels version.
Yeah.
Come on, that's not on the right side of the title.
That's not what title is.
It's going to sound like that?
That's not what title wanted to do.
Title will give more percentage to the label.
That was a real thought of mine when you niggas left.
I was like, oh, my God, Hove is looking at this.
Hove loves Rory.
Am I going to have to explain? No. Why fucking the guys?
I'm so glad he didn't take me.
That would have been pressure.
Yo, get the guys.
Y'all.
Why they not laughing at my buddies?
All right, moving on.
That's hilarious.
Some good advice came from his camp.
That could be the reason that we're all sitting here.
Could have trickled down from him.
You never know.
From his camp?
Yeah.
There's a camp over there.
What Beyonce told you?
They have an expensive camp.
Good campsite.
Beyonce said go back.
Over there in Bel Air.
Beyonce said what?
She said go back.
Go back.
She texted y'all.
Go fetch.
Go pod, guys.
That's why I don't like you.
Other people record their voices?
I didn't even know peasants were doing that
these dudes
take their little hiatus
the other podcasters
they found every interview
the world was looking for
oh shit AZ
wait
whoa
who got AZ
exactly
these niggas are
flourishing out here
damn who got the AZ
in the video
oh my god I'm gonna get it man I've been liking all this shit lately These niggas are flourishing out here. Damn, who got the AZ in there? Oh, my God.
I'm going to get it, man.
I've been liking all this shit lately.
That's how you go about asking?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Got to do it.
Oh, you killed that selfie.
Alex.
So, sir.
You wasn't even laughing until Alex left.
That's how it work?
Gang shit.
Gang shit.
Yeah, a whole lot of gang, right?
That's gang gang. y'all didn't say
nothing bad about me
in the streets
when random people
was asking y'all right
like yo what that
nigga did
no you
you guys watched me
on camera
coming out of
whatever place
you said I was at
not answering
any questions sir
no
no comment
fuck Joe
these guys got
to traveling
fucking more
with the Bermudas
yes you did
went on a fucking
what do they call it
when healthy niggas
go on a retreat
spiritual retreat
spiritual retreat
he went to go get
whole inside
they come back
with different beads
around their neck
and on their wrists
and shit
like ooh
this sand
this means
serenity
Rory went back
to the cord cutter.
Oh my God, you won't guess who it was.
You forgot one.
He was there all along.
Right under your nose.
You never said anything about it.
I tried to do it on my own and look what happened.
You were right.
It did rhyme with so.
You couldn't put your finger on it.
You said it was these hoes.
Oh, man.
Hold up.
Where's my phone?
I don't have nothing written down.
This is going to be a five-hour pod.
And don't do that.
I've seen you in the streets.
No, you didn't.
You was a little Miami maven.
I've seen you out there.
I have not been to Miami.
My girl was begging me, yo, can i'm like no you was at somewhere that said
miami you're screaming yo you have to have like some real shit going on you're good okay why are
we going why are we why do we go away like wait huh shit is grumbling that's why
why was rory flying Spirit?
I was not flying Spirit.
Yes, you were.
First class Spirit.
Listen, you know, I like my leg room.
All right, wait.
Mo, before we get out of here, and I don't even know that we're getting out of here right now.
You should speak to the Knicks winning streak.
Come on.
Oh, you should.
I think it's great for
I've been here speaking
you gotta do it
I went to the Knicks game but I was like oh shit
Reggie, Reggie Bullock
he's like get the guys back
they wouldn't even talk to me
yeah I think it's great for the
for the city man
this is the one take you've been right about
in the last seven years
is that Julius Randle
is Julius Randling.
I did think about that.
You ain't got a lot of right takes
when it come to this stuff.
I do, man.
But the ones that you get right,
it be like,
wow, no one saw this but Maul.
Nah, man.
I mean, you know,
you just,
you know what it is.
And just knowing Julius
and talking to him, man,
there is a distinct
connection between
guys who
are really
family oriented
athletes
it's really hard
for them not to be successful
like and that's
like I'm talking about
like the guys that are like
family
married
don't party
James Harden would like
a word with you
no I'm just saying
I mean
obviously you have
the guys that party that are successful and great athletes.
And then seeing the way Julius was working and the fact that he was really upset when they were losing.
He was really upset.
Like, he did not like that shit.
Last year.
He did not like it at all.
Like, it was really bothering him that the team was bad.
And just seeing that and then seeing his work ethic, I knew.
I'm like, fam, I'm telling you.
Like, he's different
he's different
he wants to win
like and he feels like
he can beat anybody
that don't mean nothing
it means a lot
no man
niggas want to win
in the league right
but
focus is different
but yeah the focus
the focus
the
he's just a different
and to be so young
and be that focused
and locked in
I knew I was like yo this he's going to be he young and be that focused and locked in, I knew,
I was like, yo, he's going to be, he's a special player.
I cursed Parks out all last night.
The entire last night.
Why?
The entirety of it during that Knicks on the whole game.
It's all your fucking fault.
You think he didn't hear that shit, you stupid shit he was saying?
He went to work on Reggie Bullock.
We was going to win that game.
Chris Paul said, I heard what he said.
I heard Parks.
Take this.
Yeah.
We was going to win that game.
Chris Paul said, I heard what he said.
I heard Parks.
Take this.
Ah!
Yeah, but even in that loss, they're mad they lost that game.
No, no, no. You know what I'm saying?
We haven't seen a Knicks team like this in a very long time.
They are mad they lost that game last night.
Because they shouldn't have fucking lost it.
Yeah, no, I agree.
But that just shows what type of shit that they got going on.
If you get better from the last year
yeah they like man
fuck that
we let one get away
we should have won that game
like they really mad about that
but they want to get
to the next one
yeah if you really
if you really take
if you really take
something away from it
then you will not lose
for even in defeat
there will be a valuable
lesson learned
so it
yeah
someone should have
wrapped that
that would have been on
fucking death
maybe on a retirement
but even that game last night I mean the Suns are one of the best teams in the league.
The fact that the Knicks played them down to the wire like that, Chris Paul hit two tough shots.
Cameron Payne.
I got to be in my living room worried about Cameron Payne.
I know he's nice.
I know he's nice.
I know him from college.
I know him from college.
But, yo, and speaking of that, you want if you want me to tell you
how I feel
why I feel old
outside of my back pain
every morning
I want that fucking
mattress I bought
from that girl
this is why I feel old
Benzino's daughter
has an
a smash
running around
yeah
nobody cares
not about her in the song.
I'm just saying,
that's Benzino's daughter.
All right, cool.
Forget about it.
I turn sports in on every night
and Kenyon Martin Jr.
is rising for the block.
I'm like, oh man,
this nigga's kid is blocking everything.
He's going to be good.
Hey, I know your dad from college.
I watched the Cincinnati games.
And been mistaken for him a few times.
Hey, the draft.
Don't do that.
The draft is coming up, right?
The NFL draft.
Cornerback, Asante Samuel.
Asante Samuel, yeah.
Junior.
Asante Samuel, yeah.
Wait, no, junior.
Patrick Sertain.
Junior.
Junior.
Junior.
You don't feel like an old fart?
Oh, yeah.
But even Asante Samuel with the Patriots and Eagles was over a decade ago, right?
Antonio Winfield's got a kid in the league too, right?
Yeah.
The kids is tough, man.
I understand the clout.
Yeah, I know I was getting old when I'm now older than the best player in the NBA.
Yeah. It's like, oh, shit, I'm old. Significantly. Yeah, I knew I was getting old when I'm now older than the best player in the NBA. Yeah. It's like, oh,
shit, I'm old. Significantly. Yeah, like, oh,
shit. You're not older
than LeBron. Yes, I am.
Yeah, yes. LeBron's
younger than me. LeBron's 36.
I almost said 35. Yeah,
36 probably. Yeah, 36. How old
are you? 39.
You know, I went back.
Now I went back, but I've seen some Wilt Chamberlain footage in you guys' absence,
and I take it all back.
Your dad was right?
No, Wilt was the real dad.
No, he could do that anytime.
Right now.
Put a rim up.
What a gazelle.
Gazelle.
And was doing that in some bullshit sneakers
that's the part
we don't talk about
the equipment
that these players
had back in those days
diet, resources
like
they was out there
you ever just walk around
to some Chuck Taylors
yeah
your feet be burning
burn rock
yeah
they was hooping
like wait
these were made
to play in
socks
yeah
like they were out there
jumping like
in canvas real athletes.
Yeah, before Michael Jordan brought crack to the league.
But even the Jordan 1 is not a comfortable shoe to play in.
He snowfalled the NBA?
He was with the CIA?
Yeah, I'm talking shit.
I'm talking shit.
I'm talking shit.
I'm talking shit.
Look at this guy.
He's amazing.
I'm still living with the ignorant take that you had before.
Which one?
That chance was the next drink?
Yeah well that too
But um
It's still
Not too late
Nah I still think
I think this error
I think this error was easier
And I'm an ignorant young person
Nah I don't think
Wait which error is easier
To get a deal in?
Y'all know that Now or later in? Y'all know that.
Now or later?
Yeah, y'all know that.
That's been answered.
A lot of these trash niggas
that we get there every day.
I just think
Babe Ruth would have been
struck out in the last
three decades of MLB.
Just the older players, man.
I don't have the same
thought, but I'm an ignorant young person. Hey, Rory didn't get the news. You don't have the same same thought
but I'm an ignorant
young person
hey Rory didn't get the news
you didn't get the news
babe is ours now
yeah
what happened
there's a thread on twitter
going around saying
babe Ruth is
at least part black
potentially
oh he still would have
got struck out by
a young Dominican kid
in the MLB
if he was in the era
where
not only white people
could play.
No, not now. He's black.
He moves with
his cousins. Look at the
internet.
I missed this entire thing.
It's a real thing.
It's a real thing.
Look at his cousins though.
While we're on this, and I don't like making a thing of talking about good ideas
that maybe were birthed by the internet, but there's this idea floating around on the internet.
Are you going to talk about Mad Lib and Logic as magic?
Yo, do y'all want to pause?
Is this important to y'all?
My bad, my bad.
I dedicated my whole life to Logic and Mad. What's it called? Magic. Yo, do y'all want a pod? Do y'all Is this important to y'all? My bad, my bad
I dedicated my whole life
To logic and mad
What's it called?
Magic
But I don't even get it
He unretired again, right?
Magic
Okay
I love Madlib way too much for this
It's magic
The funny shit is How you think this Nah, I'm chillin' I'm chillin' I love Mad Lib way too much for this. It's magic.
The funny shit is,
how do you think this... No, I'm chilling.
I'm chilling.
Logic, by the way.
Because Logic is on the list of people
that when I talk about Logic,
Kid Cudi,
Chance,
fucking all these niggas.
I can't talk about nobody.
The gang members,
the scammer rap.
I didn't even know that was a thing.
Chris Paul.
What do y'all want me to say about this?
This is how I knew R- pod was still salgable,
however you pronounce that fucking word.
Me and Joe wasn't rocking,
and he texted me during that Kid Cudi SNL dress thing.
We was beefing in the middle.
We was beefing at the time.
Yo, what's up with your man in the dress?
Did you ride for him?
Yeah, man.
I told Joe.
He's all these rappers' moms.
He's all these...
That was only weird to me
because it looked nothing like
the dress Kurt Cobain had on.
That's why I was lost
when they was making...
He was in black.
Yeah, I was like, fam,
it's not even similar
to what Kurt Cobain wore,
but okay.
Maybe I'm not artsy enough
to understand what's going on.
Yeah, it went over your head.
Yeah, I understand. And it was all white. Yeah get it i get it i get it what were you gonna say about the internet inventing something oh they had this idea floating around about uh
the last dragon of course but they was like yo we should get a prequel on show enough like how did
he get the glow and they should start that story. And I'm like, yeah, with all the fucking horrible stories they're shoving down my neck, Paul.
Yeah, that might be a good idea.
I see how I tied this into Magic.
Somebody else has to say something about Magic.
Like, we can't just go to this thing.
I don't want Logic to waste any of the amazing Mad Lib beats, even if Madlib doesn't like those beats and gives them.
He should still save them for someone else.
Logic can rap.
I know he can.
Yeah, just do it to yourself.
Just rap to yourself?
I just don't.
Do it in the confines of your own home.
That's probably where he recorded it.
Okay, well, keep the masters in the living room.
Okay.
Where was Madlib when he agreed to this?
I know Logic called him.
I think he read this headline with the rest of the world.
Logic called him somewhere.
Is his old V-Tapes out there?
Wait, he got this on YouTube.
Did he type in Mad Lib type beat?
That was funny, man.
I wish our friendship was better.
So I could really give you your props.
The magic is gone?
He caught the...
Yo, please stop.
Please stop.
Please stop.
Air high five.
Please, please.
Oh, look at the chemistry
starting to come back together.
For only seven weeks.
But what if it's hard, though?
Well, for the chemistry to come back?
I have to make a tough decision.
What if we know it's not?
What if I could guarantee the results?
Then you should listen to it
and let me know.
All right.
I'll be that guy.
You're not going to check it out?
I'll listen to it.
I'll listen to it.
You know Benny.
Mars only part three.
This bullshit.
Fucking logic.
Told you he wasn't retired.
Right back.
We weren't trying to argue with you.
We just.
Yo, Tory Lanez tried to get in your seat.
I saw that.
I screenshot it.
Wait, what happened?
Tory Lanez what?
Tried to come sit in Maul's seat.
Why Tory think I got.
I don't.
Tory, I don't have no issue with you, man.
What is it? I don't have no issues with you man Like I don't What is this
I don't have no issues
With dude man
Like I don't understand
Like what's going on
He never said
That you had issues
Yes he did
He screamed fuck mall
On his album
At the top of his
You know how
They mix that vocal
And he said
He wanted to slap me
So what he said
What he said
Say mall
And then he said
He wanted to sit in your seat
Yeah
Oh no I screenshot it
I watched his live
I watched his live I seen Tori Yo want to sit in your seat Yeah Oh no I screenshotted it I watched his live I watched his live
I seen
I seen Tory
Yo let me sit in my seat
I screenshotted it
Why you want to sit in my seat
Cause he's short
And it's the higher seat
Hey Tory
I don't have no issues with you bro
I'm not beefing with nobody
I said that already
Cleared that up
I'm just saying I'm not
I would have been shady
To do that though
That would have looked nuts
I'm gonna say
But did you guys see
Tyrese shaving Coochie
On Instagram live
I'm not
Talking about that
I don't know
What you talking about
We could do sleepers
We ain't gotta do this
We had to
Tyrese
Yeah
We don't have to do that
There was something else
Important that I felt like
Needed to be discussed
And then What the hell Was it I felt like needed to be discussed.
And then what the hell was it?
I would never want to be trusted to shave a coochie.
No.
Yeah, just.
All bad.
I'm an adult now.
You can leave that shit, Harry.
I'm cool.
Okay.
Quickly before you do that.
Sapphire is a strip club Like I signed in one time
And I think
Them bitches leaked my number
To every stripper
In New York City
Is that who it was?
You know how many
You know how many
Texts I get from
646 numbers
About strip club nights
And where the underground is
Oh you got the
Oh
That's how Sapphire
That's how
That's how they got
Oh I know I'll get you Signed to the wifi Sapphire. That sounds good. That's how they got.
Oh, yeah.
I'll get you signed to the Wi-Fi.
Hey, hey.
Oh, no, no, no, no. I'm sorry.
No, no.
I'll make it clear.
I gave her my number.
I'm saying a stripper at Sapphire's gave my number to the world.
Oh, okay.
I thought you were saying you signed into the Wi-Fi.
No, no, no, no.
The downside of that is you know all of the underground strip club parties.
I don't think this is a bad thing, Rory.
I got all the deals.
I got the code to use at the front.
You were saying important.
No, don't do that.
It's not important because I probably shouldn't even say it,
but we ain't got a pot to say it.
A few weeks ago.
I'm saying this and y'all don't have to reply
just let me do it
a few weeks ago
on the internet
Raz B
made a post
saying yo
10,000 likes
whatever y'all want to do
the boys get back together
we going on tour
if you want to see
B2K on tour
all you got to do
right now
is put a one
in the comments and we2k on tour all you got to do right now is put a one in the comments
and we're going on tour and nobody on the internet said it so how many ones did they get
hey well one more i didn't count but all I could think of was
son said I mean go for it
wait
oh wait we gotta read
now don't try to erase the screen
put it back
he didn't even put a one he said yo I mean go for it
but when he said this
this is not funny cause when he said this all i was thinking was
yo y'all was on tour when you left the tour you said that all the niggas was touching you
disrespecting you and you boogie we all rallied behind you right and here you know this nigga got
some nerves y'all want i couldn't yo it'd be moments on the internet where i'd be waiting behind you. Right. And him, yo, this nigga got some nerve.
Y'all want that out? I couldn't,
yo,
it'd be moments on the internet
where I'd be waiting,
ooh,
they gonna learn him now.
Ooh,
they gonna set him straight.
But the internet be like,
nah,
just go ahead,
let him live.
Nobody said,
yo,
dog,
y'all was on tour
and you fucked it up.
And if they didn't say it,
neither did Joe.
So here's another one
that stumped me a little bit.
But you just.
Don't worry about it.
No, no, no, no, no.
That's edited out.
That's edited out now.
Here's another one.
And get your sleeper ready, man.
I think it's great.
All right.
That sounds like I'm lying already.
Hold up.
Do you think his plan was to bring all the one comments to Live Nation?
Like, yo, look at all these ones.
Probably.
And Live Nation would be like, word?
Oh, bet.
We're booking it.
When you can't tour, by the way.
I'm really, really, listen.
I'm not for violence.
I'm not for death, murder, and hip hop.
I'm not for the robberies. I'm not for any. I'm not for death, murder, and hip-hop. I'm not for the robberies.
I'm not for any of that, right?
And I want to say I'm really, really happy that, by the grace of God,
Baby Blue from Pretty Ricky is still with us after what happened in Davie, Florida.
Let me read to y'all what he said.
From the hospital.
I'm basically on a bunch of machines hospital keeping me alive at this point
but I improve the more I fight so let's make a deal I'll fight as hard as I can and beat this
if y'all promise to make me one of the biggest rap artists in the world.
That's all I want.
Crying emoji.
Deal?
No.
He tweeted that from the hospital bed
on life support.
And honestly, prayers too.
I really do hope for...
It's not a deal.
I really do pray for him.
I can't participate in that deal it's not that's a red spice you the guy yeah good for
her go first right yeah you know redice is great, but. He actually seems supportive. He needs to think of it.
Well,
go ahead,
shake shit.
What about the wire?
I'm chilling,
man.
What do you think about Trump?
I'm chilling.
I'm chilling.
Let's just go right.
Yo,
he said,
let's make a deal.
Hey,
if it was that easy,
nigga,
I'd have made mad deals
after pumping a yo y'all
bargain
here
damn no one
is signing up
for this deal
are you on
life support
tweeting that
or posting that
on Instagram
that's nuts
they said he's
keeping them alive
look at where
the internet
has put us
oh man
I think Red Spice is keeping them alive.
Well, she gave us some insight.
She said the internet enjoys watching people be hurt and go through fucked up shit.
Anything negative y'all want to be a part of, have an opinion and comment on.
He did say yo.
I'm leaving that topic.
I'm not talking about it.
I'm glad that Rory and Maul are here so I could ask them mad questions that I don't want to answer myself you
guys rest in peace MF doom I agree of course I just keep thinking of people
that have passed rest in peace MF doom shout out the Jeremiah who tried the MF
doom trick where you wear the mask and you send somebody else to go pick up the
second half of the show bed.
That's real shit.
Innovator.
Jeremiah just sent some other dude out there.
Yeah, but this is my thing with y'all.
I don't think he put a mask on.
I think he just sent some guy out there.
Jeremy.
I think he just sent Jeremy out there.
Look at that back end.
No, no, no.
At least Doom had the decency to put a mask
on the other guy
try to confuse us
well that's why
I'm mad at my
fucking brain
for just functioning
a certain way
I'm watching the
X services
and the Kanye
choir went out
there and
there was a dude
at the piano
with a mask on
and I harken
back to
all the choir
saying they didn't
get paid or
whatever for singing Chaka Khan, whatever they were singing.
And was that Kanye in the mask or no?
Are they doing a trick?
Kanye was there.
Was that him in the mask?
Oh, I didn't think Kanye was there.
I thought it was his choir.
That's a pretty snazzy trick.
He was there.
I was on the same time you were.
That's a pretty cool trick. I thought they tried to kind of make it look like Kay was there.
And that would be hard.
If I'm the choir, I might want to do that instead of actually having him there.
Does the guy in the mask pay the invoices on time?
I mean, the focus.
Yeah, we didn't get no resolution to whatever was happening there.
No, it was a new choir the same way it was a new cast on this podcast.
Yeah.
This is very parallel in what's going on.
Why is this weird to y'all?
That's why it's an issue.
I thought they did a great job, by the way, though.
And that how they flipped Rough Riders anthem at the end, I thought they did a great job by the way and that how they flipped Rough Riders anthem at the end
I thought was dope
that's what y'all did when we was gone
she left
she wanted us to do that's y'all drop
that is funny as fuck man
yeah actually your drive is gone now
that's it
yo I don't have nothing else to ask
who is that
that's what I need to know me don't have nothing else that I yo who is that that's what I need
to know
me
don't do that
don't do that
Parks put the filter on you
no that's
that's
Kira Lopez
yes Kira
and there's a Joe drop
there's a Joe drop
done sexy
yeah no no
she's cool
I fuck her
yeah
did y'all drop sexy
it's coming
we can stick with my nephew she said fuck him No, no, she's cool. I fuck her. Did y'all drop sex? It's coming.
We can stick with my nephew.
She said, fuck him.
Getting him out to paint.
Yeah, there's nothing else that I feel like I have to get to.
I wanted to come in here and talk about little TJ for a minute.
Oh, yeah.
You got to watch that doc. They said Dr. Umar's wife is white.
I don't believe that.
What do you want me to do?
Cut it out, man. Stop. He was talking that shit on watch that doctor. They said Dr. Umar's wife is white. I don't believe that. What do you want to do? Cut it out, man.
Stop.
He was talking that shit on the breakfast club.
Stop.
He not doing all that.
He got a white wife.
He not doing that.
He said you can't get reparations if you have a white wife.
You shouldn't be allowed to get reparations.
Yeah, I'm scared.
I think people would find out about her.
His wife?
Come on, man.
A lot of us have tried that way.
Never mind.
I don't know to laugh with you.
Yeah, I know. I was testing you.
It was a test.
It was a test.
Throw it out there.
See how you reacted.
I don't have nothing else that we need to get to.
Nothing else is
that important.
There's no new music that came out.
Congratulations to her.
Shout out to Van Lathan, too, man.
What an accomplishment.
You getting an Oscar.
Shout out to everybody that won.
Shout out to Van.
That's awesome.
At the Oscars.
That is a really, really, really big deal.
Shout out to Young Thug and Gunna for banning a bunch of people out of jail.
That was hard.
That's fine.
Yeah, that was real nice.
Shout out to E1 for selling our royalties yet again.
Man, what a guy.
What good guys those are over there.
Wait, did Hasbro sell them or did E1 sell them?
Hasbro sold them.
They held on to the death row masters for a year
and then just passed them off?
They went to somebody.
I don't know.
Some company I never heard of.
Blackstone, I think that's what it was.
Time to re-record broke. They went to somebody, I don't know. Some company I never heard of, Blackstone, I think.
Time to re-record broke.
We're less fortunate.
Yeah, give them the less fortunate version.
I think this is hard that Young Thug and Gunna did this.
Yeah, it's great.
And I'd like to find out how you go about
doing something like this. I think i might participate in this if i knew how to do it yeah that's fine
they went to bill bondsman i think right yeah so i don't know yeah yeah but they didn't just show
up to the jail you can't do it that way no and i love how channel 2 in atlanta made this look like
it was from 1996 like Like with the fonts,
the lens they used.
It was really odd watching it.
I was like,
this is nostalgic yet happening in the moment.
Yeah.
But no,
it's very,
very dope gesture.
And I've been the grumpy old man
with the TikTok dances
and all that.
That little,
that young thug,
ski slope shit.
I thought you were going to talk about
the Griselda dance.
Listen, man.
Record's pretty fucking good. I was in Ski Slope shit. Griselda dance. Listen, man. Record's pretty fucking good.
I was in my crib doing this shit.
That's how you was getting down in the house?
That's what you did with your spare time?
We're not popping in one of those TikTok dance.
It was gotten in him.
I was hitting the bunny slope like, come on.
That's who he was riding for.
That's why I was in Atlanta The funny shit though
Is
That do seem like a dance
That as you
The older dudes
Can do a little bit
It's got
It's a little two-steppish
I've never jet skied
Or
What is that?
Jet skis right?
Ski slope
Yeah they doing one of these
And one of these
I get out there
And break every bone
In my body on the slope
But I hear that's really fun
Yeah but if you don't know What you're doing You could really hurt yourself No there's no Skiing is terrible Thug dance or skiing? and one of these. I get out there and break every bone in my body on the slope. But I hear that's really fun.
Yeah, but if you don't know what you're doing,
you could really hurt yourself.
No, there's no if.
Skiing is terrible.
The thug dancer skiing.
I don't.
Skiing.
Oh, okay.
I was like, wait,
is there a gang affiliation
to this dance I don't know about
I shouldn't be doing?
No.
That's the new thing
that's tricky too.
The gang members
keep doing dances
to make you think
that they're not gang members.
Throw you off.
Kind of throw you off a little bit.
Yeah.
It is tricky, man.
It's a bunch of lingo.
I could do that.
A bunch of lingo.
No, you're affiliated.
I think it's the hook to the record that I love.
And I'm like, oh, I shouldn't be saying this, right?
Oh, man.
That's funny.
Oh, shit.
The UFC fight.
Let me just say congratulations to dude because, wow.
That dude that lost his leg.
That was terrifying
I didn't not loss it someone like completely yeah it was brutal I think
it's the undercard yeah it was mom not watching that don't put it up there I do
not well can you bring up a Jake Paul's comments on I had a big one Durant went
down with that injury I'm not gonna see anybody's leg
get shattered oh are we pulling up Jake Paul comment what happened what Jake Paul said he
tweeted uh tweeted your boy uh the owner of UFC uh what's his name Joe Rogan Dana White yeah Joe
Rogan's partner same thing more or less uh he tweeted uh I thought it was an interesting point
Jake Paul tweeted and added Dana White he He said, Dana, you claimed you would bet $1 million on me losing. Set up Askren to train with Freddie Roach. Gave him full access to UFC PI and he still got his ass handed to him. Seems like you are the real douche, not Ariel.
Aereo. In my third fight, I made more in total pay than any fighter in UFC history. Maybe it's time to pay your fighters the fair share. No wonder they all want to get into boxing. Dana,
you said you make the fights the fans want to see, so hurry up and make Jones versus I'm not
even going to try it. Pay them the fair share, 10 million purse for each guy plus PPV. Why are UFC fighters so underpaid versus boxers?
Why did I make more
in the third fight
than all but two
UFC fighters have in history?
I know why.
Dot, dot, dot.
They should re-record it.
The fight?
Like fight again?
Conor McGregor get back in there
like, hey, let's,
you know,
I won't really hit you.
Get your chips. But no, it's, you know, I won't really hit you. Get your chips.
But no, it's, I mean, the shit that Triller's doing with people that are not even professional fighters
and how much money they're making compared to the people that are sacrificing their fucking rest of their lives, livelihood.
You get punched in the head a few fucking times, you're dead.
Yeah.
Whether you're alive still.
Them shit's be awesome.
I'm not going to lie.
The fact that they only have this short window,
it's the same way I think with running backs
and wide receivers and shit in the NFL.
You don't have a big window to make as much money as you can.
By the time you're 30, it could be a wrap for you.
So why are people that are not trained fighters
that are still getting the exact same amount of views
as these people so underpaid compared to it?
Something to be brought up.
I like J. Paul doing this.
I do too.
I like that.
That's using your platform
and your reach
trying to make an impact.
I like that.
And gathering more information.
He's new to the fighting world
to this degree
and he knows how much he's making
with the Triller stuff.
And he's talking with these UFC fighters
that have dedicated
so much
where they're literally
getting their faces
beat the fuck in
by other
like shit
yeah
well I know he just
called out Cormier
I think
and
slow down Jake Paul
you don't want to do that
you don't want to jump
into that UFC ring
with a real UFC fighter
no matter
if they're rigging
all his planes
yeah but I don't
and I'm not going
to say that
I'm not going to say they are doing that.
Do you think they are? The rumblings
are out there. That last one was a little fishy.
The last boxing. The last one, I'll go with y'all.
The other two, I'm not saying that. Mad more fish
than that.
Yeah, that was definitely a little shake and bake
on that fish for sure.
But I like that though.
I like him calling out Dana White.
Yeah. Well shit, that makes me feel even worse
that
Jake Paul out here
rigging beating people's asses
and getting paid this
and these UFC fighters
are really fighting
and not getting paid
getting their legs shattered
yeah it's crazy
that UFC shit is no joke
look at this
you know what
alright
yeah this was definitely
yeah I don't have nothing to say about this
oh my god man first of all if you're gonna rig the fight joke. Look at this. You know what? Alright. Yeah, this was definitely... Yeah, I don't have nothing to say about this.
Oh my God, man. First of all,
if you're going to rig the fight, you got to get better acting classes.
Yeah, because they've rigged
boxing matches for a long time and they've looked
better than that. Yeah, I'm not doing this, William.
But I'm not doing that first two fights. I don't think we're rigged with
Jake Paul. This looked kind of nuts, though.
That's not the worst shit you ever saw. Man, I'm out of here.
I'm out of here. I don't want to talk about him no more.
No, I agree. That was saw Man I'm out of here I'm out of here I don't want to talk about him no more No I agree
That was terrible
I'm finished with him
Is there anything that we missed?
Welcome back guys

Before I got through, I turned my back on more than just my demons.
Love that enemy, cause the one you think your friend might end up turning on you in the end.
And where you at, when you hit the switch,
Then I'll get shit right back.
How much, before you fucked it up?
They know I would level up
You thought I was chosen, why you chose her?
Now it's no pain in back
Then I get shit right back
How much before you fucked it up?
They know I would level up
You thought I was chosen Why you chose up?
Now it's no pain in back
All my wonders
Feeling this bluntness
But why the fuck?
Ever since I looked up
Inside of them entitlement
I'm so tired of bottomless shit
Rust straight in
Niggas need nigga check

This is how long it's been.
There's an aux cord
over there somewhere.
Back in the days, man.
Not a kid anymore.
But some days
I still feel like a kid again. I know that it can hurt sometimes, I bet
When all the wisdom come out right, it happens
And maybe we can learn from times like this
And we can be gone
I know that it can hurt sometimes
I bet when all the wisdom come out
What happens
And maybe I can learn from times like this
And I can be gone It takes a little practice So close I almost had it
I thought I was concise But it turns out I guess it's one of those nights
Military tactics
Like we're from two different atlases
Inside the corners of your mind
You've got your stories and I've got mine
You're already perfect
I'm already right
With a little practice, we'll be fine
I know that it cares sometimes, I bet
When all the wisdom come out, right?
It happens, and maybe I can learn from times like this
And I can be gone
I know that it cares sometimes
I bet when all the words come out right
It happens
And maybe we can learn from times like this
And it can be gone
Oh, oh, oh good music he's putting together right now. dope. I play a new joint upcoming off the new Belly project. This is If You Know You Know. In theory, here in your ether wrapped inside my misdirection Missing signs and red flags until you end up on a missing sign
With your head tied in a red rag rag
Just a real pair of jet lag lag
When I was young I made myself a promise
I said only trust yourself, nobody else is honest
Pay me dollars, not homage, I'm sick of being modest
Ironic, blessings came from something so demonic
I got a million in diamonds inside the ultrasonic
Polished, the flow iconic, still I'm so neurotic
I treat my product like narcotics, it's economics
Heavy stream like a fiend, I wanna try the chronic
Big dipper still tipping out of town, strippers
I bet these hoes go down quicker than brown liquor
In my city at night watching the lights flicker I'm getting high in the Sky Villa, my eyes
swell up I'm telling time on the Sky Dweller
I keep my heart in the wine cellar, I try to tell em
Thoughts of you give my body chills, my only pleasure
I think I know how a diamond feel, I'm under pressure
Thirty pounds and a hefty, I hope the Lord bless me
My pimp hand ambidextrous don't
make me go lefty maybe I'm hard to understand but these hoes get me I ball hard I should have
got my own my heart cold I swear I feel like 50 below I don't let the pain show if you know you

you know my OG serving 10 he said the time over slow you gonna be rich when you, if you know, you know My OG serving tennies at the time of a slow
You gon' be rich when you home, if you know, you know
She could be your dream girl to someone else, she a hoe
That's just how the game go, if you know, you know
Yo, if you know, you know
I told her, if you know, you know
You know the vibes, bitch
If you know, you know
I told her, if you know, you know You know the vibes bitch If you know you know I told her if you know you know you know the vibes bitch
Vicious how you still around the same bitches got they nose in my business call it cocaine interest
Heaven hell it's the same distance cold like the winter solstice that became Christmas
Huh, no decor millions in my floorboards money walk Villains lining walls in the corridor, no remorse
Before money, I've been rich Whipping till the shit made my limbs twitch
The zombies came back with the skin itch, thrill alive
Faces like vanilla sky Almost had to die just to feel alive
They can't feel the size of walking my line, these Margella slides
The revolution won't be televised, nights become days
I made it out of hell unscathed, might go back one day
Just a sunbathe, one way, high beams on, doin' top speed
Cold world, long as we alive, we are not free
Oh, oh, oh, if I would've lied, I would not be
Oh, oh, oh, if I would've loved, I'm not free

Got rid of the white appliances.
Man, everything's stainless steel.
Everything. That makes a's stainless steel. Everything.
That makes a big difference in the kitchen.
Hell yeah.

That's how they base the rent is off the kitchen.
They get us hype.
Ooh, Viking.
Come on, fam.
You know when she see the Viking, she get comfortable.
Maybe I can stay.
I ain't got to go home.
He might have a washer and dryer in here.
Who knows?
I need a lot more than that going on to lure the baddies away from these athletes and entertainers
after being stressed locked away in the house for a year.
They ain't thinking about me.
I'm watching their excitement as they're on the floor at the game.
All of them.
They can't wait for that shit to open all the way back up.
Oh, my God.
They out there.

I don't know.
I don't know how this shit went.
I got nothing.
Me neither.
How do you think it went, Mo?
How do you think our return episode went?
I think it was good, man.
I think we addressed some of the questions that I know people had.
And I think that was number one.
Just addressed that.
Rory, you? How are you feeling? Yeah, I think this was Just Just that Rory You
How you feeling
Yeah I think
I think this is the proper return

Actually talked through some shit
I actually used the word transparency
And
Stand by it
Everyone here
I thought it was cool
I don't think it's something
We need to harken back on
And make this a
Running thing moving forward
But yeah
This return episode
Let's do this
And get back to the funnies
After this episode, go home.
Just sit down?
That's it.
That's my advice.
Chill out, man.
Feel your mattress on your back.
Don't go getting a song done.
Don't go run a child session.
I actually need to wrap this up.
Yeah, actually.
I won't be going home.
Oh, man.
Yo, do remember, we are down next week.
I'm on.
Rory don't even know.
We're down next week, guys.
Yeah, we're down next week.
I talked to Joe.
Don't tell the fans.
Next week, I'm coming here to tell y'all that Rory wouldn't take a picture with me last week.
That is a fact.
I'm telling.
I'm snitching.
I had a bright idea for the artwork this morning.
That little list you sent of like our pod rules.
I was like, yo, that might be dope.
And then I went to read it.
No.
I read that bad boy back.
I was like, oh, no.
This would be horrible.
No fucking way.
There's a ceiling on transparency.
There's a cap.
Show me fucking this.
Yo, again, I want to thank y'all for listening.
Rest in peace, Shock G, DMX.
Yeah, man, we didn't.
Black Rob.

Drake gonna be like
Yo why do people think
we don't like each other?
I'm like,
because Joe creates
narratives, man.
Fuckers are generally confused.
Yeah, because Drake
disses you in every
Instagram live Joe does.
And vice versa.
These two guys.
Little cutie patooties.
You and Drake.
I'm coming in with
funnies about that
next time too.
I understand we have some things to get out of the way,
but I wrote my funnies down.
Funnies bike.
I didn't even outro this shit, man.
Hold up.
Hold up, hold up.
Hold up, this is not right.
This is not right.
This is wrong.
I'm sorry.
All right.
Dear.
Thank you, guys.
You guys.
It's been a long road.
This front just sounds like you have something deep to say.
Though it gets dark at the end of the tunnel, lightness arrives.
Why do you lock yourself up in these chains? When you get to the end of the road lightness arrives.
When you get to the end of the road
is the beginning
of a road.
Come on.
Come on, help me
out here, buddy.
I'm telling you,
I was sitting there
drinking peppermint tea
and someone told me
God put everything
on my plate
because he knew
I was going to eat.
And I was like,
wait, what?
Fuck you up.
What?
He was like,
I thought it was
the weight of the whole thing.
Enjoying a blueberry muffin and some tea right now.
That fucked me up because at least for a year I would say,
yo, God put a lot on Rory's plate.
He's dealing with a lot right now.
Yo, we out of here, man.
I hope you enjoyed being in our business.
Oh, yeah.
Joe ruins everything.
Oh, everything.
I stuck my dick still.
Hey.
And we out of here, man.
Y'all hold it down.
Keep us in your prayers.
Lord knows we need to be there until the next time.
I bid you adieu.
Farewell.
Adios.
Hasta la vista.
Arrivederci.
So long. Goodbye. Remember Remember life is a series of moments
And moments pass
So let's make this one last
As if it is all that we have
That means come to work, you guys
What's my other little thing? Oh yeah
Do remember the baddies, the insecure, the stagnant.
Women want to travel.
And the closed-minded women want you to teach them things.
Grab an ibuprofen and a muscle relaxer and enjoy your headache.
And an Adderall, preferably 30.
One of the 30 joints if you need it.
Here we go!
Here we go!
You guys, sometimes somebody's gonna make you
want to turn around and say goodbye.
Hey, Wilson said it.
One of them.
One of them, bitches.
Bye. Hold on one more day.
Hold on one more day.
Hold on one more pod.
No, you say it.
You call your name.
Y'all don't say that, nigga.
One nigga's been here potting to death.
Fucking Savon's dying.
Look at fucking Scream Man's hoodie.
Look what y'all made him put on.
Some diamonds to feel good. He put diamonds on the hoodie. fucking Scream Man's hoodie. Look what y'all made him put on. Some diamonds to feel good.
He put diamonds on the hoodie.
The bedazzled devil hoodie.
Erickson,
that motherfucker Erickson,
that's my guy right there.
That's my guy in park.
He don't like anyone in this room.
Who, he?
They don't like not one person in the world. Bye. Bye
