This is why I love FanDuel because actually a lot of times
when I'm prepping out some of the segments,
I'm like, who is the favorite in the Big 12 this year?
Oh, it's Utah, but look at that number on Arizona.
That's a nice little number there, might be worth it.
And it's always finding new and fun ways
to just create markets like the highest scoring game,
across Sunday's slate, quarterbacks with 75
plus passing yards in the first quarter,
offensive touchdowns the next drive, so much more.
The app is safe, it's secure, it's easy to use,
and when you win, you'll get paid instantly.

Let's go, it's week three.
All right, so let's start with best win nominees. Minnesota, 3-0 now on the season.
Wins against the Niners, destroying Houston yesterday, holding CJ Stroud
in this offense to seven points.
The third worst QBR of CJ Stroud's young career.
Darnold is fifth in the league in QBR.
He's number one in pass touchdowns.
He's completing 68% of his passes, which is the best of his
career by a pretty good
chunk, his second year with the Jets, he completed 62% of his passes.
Shockingly 68% completion rate in today's NFL is only good enough for 14th because
half the league just throws it to the line of scrimmage the entire game.
Um, Aaron Jones has been great.
Jefferson hasn't even really gone crazy yet.
Obviously the big play against San Francisco.
Nailer has three touchdowns. Um now we have the darn old injury question.
But really this entire package of what we've seen from the Vikings has been really impressive.
A little Mike Sando note because we like to do those on Monday after his piece,
the pick six on the athletic. He's only had two pass attempts all season when he's been
trailing in a game.
He's number one in the NFL.
This is probably my favorite stat from him on percentage of
passes gaining 15 plus or more yards.
So some of these guys put together these nice ratings, these great completion
percentage, they don't throw any interceptions, but like, are you actually
threatening to throw the ball down the field that seam route that he threw
against the Niners to kind of put that game away.
That's a, that's a ballsy throw.
So that's the offensive part of the story.
But when you watch the Vikings defense with this pass rush, uh, it's just a
huge part of their three and Oh start their number two and points allowed per
game behind Pittsburgh, whose defense is just off the charts and all sorts of
categories, their fifth and sacks, in sack percentage, they have 23 tackles for a loss as a team.
You could point to the overall passing yards.
The passing yards that are allowed per game is 27th, but it hasn't really factored in
on the scoreboard.
So I feel like with almost any team that gets off to a really good start, you can probably
find some numbers in there that you might not like, but
no one's scoring against them, despite some of the passing stuff that we've seen.
And it's just been really, really impressive.
So that's probably the favorite.
Other nominees would be Baltimore at Dallas.
I know that 0-2 teams were all hit over the head with this entire stat after
week two of 0-2 teams having 11.5% chance of getting into the playoffs, the
expanded playoffs, the expanded
playoffs, that number is going to climb up over the years.
But I also think it's a really misleading number and shouldn't apply to teams like
the Baltimore Ravens because there's just so many bad teams that start 0-2 that are
never going to make the playoffs that we apply it to better teams.
We've dug through this in the past where there are teams that still make it.
There's just a bunch of teams that are 0- that I think all of us can kind of write off, um, despite the health ups and downs of so many teams
throughout the season. So this game is also misleading based on the final score at 28-25,
but that's, that's not what this was. If you've watched it, it was just complete physical
domination against this Dallas defense where this has happened two weeks in a row.
It was 28-6 going into the fourth quarter. A week after losing to New Orleans, 44-19.
New Orleans gained 190 yards on the ground. Baltimore went for 274 on the ground through
three quarters. Dallas had 14 missed tackles allowing 147 yards, which through three quarters was the most in the NFL game this season.
Lamar only had to throw it 15 times.
And you know, in the third quarter, it just felt like Baltimore was like,
this is, this thing's so over.
Like, let's not even try to do anything.
Uh, they ran it for 11 to 12 plays in one stretch of the third quarter.
And of course, you know, you look at the final stuff here with Dak.
I'll get to that in a second, but Dallas is now the worst rushing defense in the NFL.
It was the Colts, which we had talked about last week, but not after that Bears game,
which I will get to. The Dallas Russ defense was a concern last year, but it was kind of the middle
of the pack as far as yards allowed. Some of the advanced stuff actually argued it was better than maybe
some of the traditional numbers would tell you, but right now it's the worst in EPA per rush
through three weeks and they're just really light up front. And I think you could see that on top
of all the missed tackles. So Baltimore, I wasn't going to be worried at 0-2. 0-3 starts getting a
little weird. I'm not worried about them at 1-2. Um, you know, the Kansas City game, they, they could have won.
I know a lot of people feel that way with Kansas City, although last night
with the pass interference call that didn't go Atlanta's way into the end zone.
I still think it's just such a massive assumption to go well.
If you get that, then you probably win the game.
It's just like, wow, sure.
You sure about that with Malmsteen on the other side.
So I think the chiefs are
on the very short list of like, you can't really assume anything against them. And Baltimore still
would have had some work to do. The Vegas game was just incredibly weird. But Dak ends up with
these final numbers of 28 to 51 for 379, two touchdowns, no picks, a 92 rating. And yes,
there seems to be a tendency for Dak to have these
absurd statistical games when in fact, like, and I guess you, I just don't
know how, if you're a Cowboys fan, you go, okay, well there's some positives.
They're late.
Was there?
Okay.
Like good luck with that.
And I still think, I think a lot of us still think that Dallas is a really
talented team, but this rush defense is a bigger concern already
to start the season than at any point last year.
If you want to point to two concerning things with Baltimore,
they're actually last against the pass,
but in their last by a pretty wide margin,
they're 40 yards per game allowed worst
than the 31st worst pass defense.
With the personnel they have, I'm not sure that I'm ready to go,
Oh, that's a major flaw.
And that's why they're one and two to start this thing because the
Dac yardage skews it when, and I didn't really think it was much of a threat.
The other thing with Baltimore that's kind of weird is they have 31 penalties
through three games.
So after the Vegas penalty day, another 13 penalties for 105 yards in
yesterday's game. I think you have to mention the Rams come back just as
impressive as it was, because you know, there's no Cooper cup. We know Pook is
out. We know the offensive line is a problem. Stafford is just, I hope it's,
it's in the mass appreciation phase of his career, because that's how I feel
about him watching him battle every single week here.
I realized San Francisco has a lot of injuries that we're going to get to here
in a second, but they're down 24 14.
They win it 27 four and Stafford was so smart when he got the receiver against
it looked like an edge guy based on the number, uh, trying to trail and one on
one down the right sideline and Stafford just sees it and was like, okay, here
we go.
It's the PI.
They moved the football down. They kicked the field goal after
Moody had missed one for San Francisco. So San Francisco now kind of falls into the same thing
as Baltimore, although it feels worse after losing this kind of game, which felt like a home game in
Los Angeles, which every game, especially when it's the Chargers, but there's no Debo in this game, no Kittle,
and McCaffrey hasn't played yet this year. So if you add them all up from last year,
Kittle, McCaffrey, Debo, and Ayuk missed a total of four starts from all of last season.
Ayuk's played all year, but we know the camp part of it and the three other guys have already
missed five games combined. So if they get it back, you know, they get everybody back.
And when the McCaffrey trade was made, I ended up being wrong.
Okay.
You know, you get to a Superbowl, he ends up being this incredible weapon, but I
was always worried about his health.
So I can't say now retroactively see I was actually right because not when you
get to a Superbowl and all that stuff.
But I mean, it's a real concern because there were some really weird split
numbers last year with Debo in and out of the lineup, how different it was.
Obviously Williams at tackle, there was some stuff there as well, but I just,
you're asking a lot of purdy and yet they still almost won this game
and then fall apart at the end.
So best win, I still think it's Minnesota because just so, just so dominant,
uh, on both sides of the football and really a carry over of what we've seen on the season.
Worst loss.
I'm sure some would suggest Tampa at home against Bo Nix and the Broncos 26, seven.
That's probably not what you expected.
Um, doesn't look great.
I'll admit I'm kind of in this two year fluke window with the bucks where I respect them.
But I don't know.
I feel almost like, Hey, starting with a comment of saying, no offense, but
now I'm going to offend you.
I remember again, this is like 20 years ago, working in Boston.
I didn't really know how things work.
We had everybody's phone number in the business.
The Red Sox were potentially in on some trade.
So I just called Ken Rosenthal.
I was like, hey, what do you got?
And he was like, okay, I respect what you're doing, Ryan.
Like I think it's important.
Like I think it's great that you're just a talk show host
trying to get information and have better perspective,
better talking points.
But also this is the livelihood of insiders
and like go fuck yourself.
Although Ken would never say that to me because he's an incredibly nice man. That's how I feel
about the Bucs a little bit. I respect what you're doing. Respect what you did last year,
the Eagles win in the playoffs, but I still think that Detroit win was incredibly fluky.
And that's why when they lose to the Broncos, I feel like the Bucs are going to have a handful
of losses where you're like, how did that happen?
Um, even though, yeah, I respect it, respect you remaining competitive and
doing what you did last year and last week.
So I'm not sure I'm quite there yet in pointing them to be, or pointing at them
to be the worst loss because it's Denver and a rookie QB, um, the Browns 21 15 at
home against the giants.
So Cleveland threw weeks one and two who had allowed 42 pressures on the quarterback,
which is most of the NFL.
Well, throwing a few more because Watson got crushed yesterday, eight sacks against him.
This was a non-screen priority, Giants-Browns.
I think you would allow that and understand it.
priority Giants Browns.
I think you would allow that and understand it, but I'll admit without a definitive like
feeling on it was Daniel Jones sneaky. Okay.
Yesterday felt like I was looking up going, whoa, was that a good play?
Was that another good Daniel Jones play?
Is it perhaps an opening into QB priority
windows? Because I felt like this was just a gap year for the
Giants, the way they structured things. And I have some more
thoughts on Saquon Barkley a little bit later, but it just
kind of felt like a throwaway year, the contract was
something they could get out of with Jones, despite the annual
salary of the time he's actually on the roster. So I guess I'm planning the seed of when I watch different quarterbacks and I feel like it might
be over and you'd ask yourself like, will this quarterback ever be the quarterback plan for this
franchise or another franchise moving forward? Cause it's tough to be the plan. It's tough to
be Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield. Like this is very even golf, as we mentioned last year,
it's very rare
what we're seeing where you're the first round flame out somewhere else, and then
you end up having this incredible resurgence.
And now we're in this little run here where it's happening in multiple places.
And historically it just doesn't happen very often.
So what Jones felt like he'd probably be the starting majority of the season
and that would probably be it.
But yeah, again, it wasn't a not.
It was like a non screen.
It was just what happened over there.
Is Drew lock in?
No, I can't remember.
Remember Tommy Devito?
Remember that guy chicken parm lived in home?
Yeah, OK, so I think it's the Raiders though.
At home coming off the win against Baltimore,
you lose to Carolina.
You give up 437 yards to the Panthers. Antonio Pierce after the game, as Presser said, felt like some guys out
there were making business decisions, essentially avoiding contact, not
wanting to hit anybody on certain plays.
And then he followed that up in the perfect Antonio Pierce way by saying,
we'll also make business decisions.
Uh, Max Crosby, not making business decisions, just trying to wreck
everything all the time, but wasn't enough. He was just trying to make business decisions. Max Crosby, not making business decisions, just trying to wreck
everything all the time, but wasn't enough.
I mean, Dalton to Thielen, Thielen gets her hamstring on that incredible
touchdown catch, just a baller takes the helmet off and you're wondering if he
has any Pukashell necklaces.
But yeah, I mean, just a nice feeling for Panthers fans that haven't had many
moments like that in
the last year plus. And I know Diana Racini, who is a friend of the pod and comes on, she had a
really interesting note this week from a source saying the Bryce Young thing in Carolina, it's
just, it goes against the stuff that I was saying. It's like, look, this team's really bad. He's
probably going to play again. If you're worried about his trade value, it couldn't possibly be
any worse in the first couple of weeks. So is there a chance he puts together three decent games and then an increased
like, I think that's a more likely scenario than what his trade value would
be right now, but she said, no, it's like done.
I don't know.
I don't know.
She knows better than I would, but we'll see.
All right.
An award here, the Adrian Peterson award goes to Saquon Barkley.
goes to Saquon Barkley.
So growing up, there were teams, we didn't like the quarterback, but a running back kind of carry you week to week.
That just doesn't happen anymore.
I don't think any team would ever say, well, we don't care about the quarterback.
Well, we shouldn't, I shouldn't phrase it that way, but we really like where
we're at running back and maybe we get to 10 wins and that'll be fine.
I think back to that 2012 season with the Vikings
where they went 10 and six and Peterson went crazy.
And I just didn't think it was a very good team.
It was Christian Ponder's best season of his career.
It was his second year in,
but I just didn't think the team was very good
and they got crushed as soon as they were in the playoffs,
but they made the playoffs,
I think primarily because of a running back. And even at the time, this is over a decade ago, it still didn't really feel like
that was something that could happen. I'm sure Tennessee fans could point to some Derek Henry
seasons in there and say that he was the focal point of the offense and he carried these teams
that were always outperforming expectations. And yeah, that's fine. But for the most part,
that Vikings defense was still kind of middle of the pack too.
And I think some of those Tennessee defenses were better.
So that was the last time I felt like a running back,
absolutely carried a team.
Now the Eagles are so talented.
Granted AJ Brown hasn't been in,
Devontae Smith gets smashed yesterday,
Lane Johnson's out of the game.
But this was Saquon carrying the Eagles for a day
when they desperately needed it.
Uh, if you look at the possessions for the Eagles
yesterday to start the game, three and out interception fumble,
turn it over on downs at the 15 yard line in New Orleans, downs
again, block punt, the touchdown from Saquon and then a missed field goal.
And then they get the Goddard big play that leads to the second Barkley touchdown.
Without him, they lose this game.
So the good news is that if you're the Eagles, this defense, this pass rush,
do you slow down the hottest offense in the NFL at their place for an afternoon.
The bad news is because again, Philly and Boston, they should be friendlier to each other, but their DNA doesn't allow them to be friendly to any outsiders. You still have something to
be miserable about despite a win against the hottest team we felt like on that side of the
football in the entire league. But I want to dig into the Barclay thing a little bit more
because I zagged on it
quite a bit.
So Barkley has three touchdowns on opening
nights, not really opening night, but it was the
Friday.
So it was like the opening week in the NFL season.
They've got that Friday window to themselves.
They beat green Bay.
Barkley has three touchdowns and it's led by how
dumb are the giants, right?
In that moment, I zagged a little because I
watched the hard knock stuff with the Giants.
I'll admit in the beginning with Joe Shane, I don't know anything about him. It was my
first introduction to him as I imagine it was the same for so many of you. When it's somebody who
hasn't played or he doesn't have the cachet, you probably go into it with a little bit more doubt
than you should, but I also think that's human nature. But when the owner comes in to talk about Barclay and the potential
signing and him being with Philly and Shane just kind of sitting there going
like, he doesn't want to be as clear because you're also on TV, which is
really difficult with the role that he has when you're allowing all of this
access, it was very clear.
He's like, look, there's a number and then it's kind of pointless for us.
And that's how I felt.
I felt like the giants looked at it and going, you know, this is a luxury item.
Do we really want to pay Saquon Barkley this much money? 12 million a year on average,
26 million guaranteed for somebody that, yeah, we know how talented he is and we spent the pick on
him, but you know, we're probably not going to be very good. It kind of gets back to that gap of your stuff that I was talking about, Daniel Jones. So why would we spend eight plus figures on a
running back that we've already had in here?
And it's not like he can really with the way we're
set up in the old line and the lack of weapons,
even though the weapons obviously better now with
neighbors, the old line looks a little bit better,
but still it's just, why would we do that in today's
sport to spend that money there when we think we
have other needs?
And because Barkley has that great, and he's been Why would we do that in today's sport to spend that money there when we think we have other needs?
And because Barclay has that great, and he's been awesome, he's leading the league and rushing,
again, I've just told you, he saved the Eagles yesterday. But this isn't about three weeks.
It's not about the opening night. It's not about ownership, watching him in an Eagles uniform,
being upset about it, because that really doesn't mean anything.
I may not want to see my ex's engagement photos, but does it really fucking matter?
They exist.
And it's up to me to decide on how much I want to be bothered or not
bothered by something like that.
And it's really up to ownership or anybody else with the giants or giants fans.
The emotional part of it.
Like, does it really matter that Barclays on the Eagles?
I get it. Rivalry division, cities being close together and all that different stuff, but like you didn't
need him anymore for who you are. The Eagles did let them live, man. But I also think there's
another long-term part of this because Barclays best year was in 2018. He's played in more games
you'd probably realize based on how much the injury conversation
revolves around kind of where he's been.
But I remember when LaDani and Tomlinson signed with the Jets and that was also a hard knock's
access and Rex Ryan was watching LT in practice.
He had a nice play and Rex said, I love being right, you know,
as if everybody else was wrong.
Now it's not a perfect comp because Barclays 27,
Tomlinson was 31 when he entered the Jets,
but in that moment, you're thinking,
how do the charges let this guy go?
Like the Jets are just so smart.
And there are so many front offices too,
that will just sign the name knowing that it's probably over.
And you always
have to ask yourself too, like, why was the other team willing to move on if this is the name and
it's fun? And look, it's like the fantasy part of it adds into it because you're like, oh yeah,
that guy, that's awesome. I'm going to draft Saquon Barkley. I think he's going to have a big year,
and maybe he has a huge year. But Tomlinson after the, I love being right thing and a nice little
star after week six
He had one total touchdown for the Jets in that first year that he was there
So I'm not saying necessarily the same thing is gonna happen to Barclay
But if you're a Giants fan like in those moments and seeing him lead the stats and have the touchdowns on stuff
It doesn't really matter. It doesn't because he wasn't a good fit for who you are right now
All right updating my life as a Bears fan. It's been three weeks.
I'm a Bears fan.
I don't know if I told anybody that.
It's new.
So here we go.
Was invested in the off season,
very invested in Caleb Williams' future.
Emotionally, not financially.
I've watched every snap of all three Bears games.
Hasn't been that hard
because I wanted to see him in Tennessee in his debut.
The other game had its own slot.
And yes, yesterday in the shuffling of TVs, I found a way to watch every
snap of the game against the Colts.
So the Colts had been gashed on the ground.
I felt like Green Bay in week two was just like, this is so bad.
Should we stop doing this to them?
Um, so at the start of the game, it looked like the Bears wanted to run, but.
Looked like they want to run a lot of it outside, which is bad as the Colts
front is, I think you're doing them a favor.
And I, you know, look, I don't know if the all 22 says actually, you know, but it just felt like in the beginning of the game, it's like, why are you guys
running outside on these guys?
If there's one thing the Colts can do on defense, maybe is make up for some of
the bad pass rush or excuse me, I guess, against the run.
However, you'd want to phrase it run wins.
If you run it to the outside, you're kind of doing him a favor.
And the other part was Swift, even though he's talented, man, he dances.
And he loves taking his time to kind of figure it out.
And as he's outside trying to figure out what he actually wants to do, which hole
he actually wants to take, because there are rewards to some of his delays at times.
It also can just make up for,
all right, well, if you're still back there dancing around,
like we're gonna close the space and get to you.
So that's not working.
And now Caleb Williams has to throw it 52 times.
So let's look at a few things here
that only Bears fans understand.
We get it.
It's a 14-3 game.
The run isn't working at all. The end of the first half, which was actually the second to last possession prior to the
Hail Mary that finished a yard or fell a yard short on a completion.
It's a 16 play drive, fourth and goal to one.
They had a commit catch where it clearly was a first down and then they didn't challenge it.
And they ended up getting the first down. And then they didn't challenge it.
And they ended up getting the first down on the fourth
down after that.
But I was thinking like, why wouldn't they challenge that?
Like that's huge.
I think it was third and five.
It was so obvious he landed past the line to game.
And then I thought back to the Houston game with Eberfluss and
his challenges that were terrible.
And I thought, are they like challenge shy now?
Because they mess.
I think that's a real I don't know if it happened here,
but I do think it's a real thing that happened.
I think in a game, my fourth down like, hey, we're married to go in for
and fourth down, fourth down, fourth.
We get stuff at times.
Let's kick the field goal.
So the Bears.
At seven. Nothing. So I think I
said 14 three there a second, but at this point, it's seven
nothing Colts. They don't want to kick a field goal. And at
that point, the way the game's playing out, and the way
Richardson's playing like as bad as it was for Caleb Williams,
at times, like at least it wasn't Anthony Richardson. Like
are you really afraid? Like, what's wrong with seven to three? What happened to the game I love? So it's not that they went for it. It's that they tried
to throw an option outside and it gets destroyed immediately. So again, another theme there with
the outside stuff. There was also a play earlier where it was a throw into the left side of the
end zone where they were in 13 personnel and McCordy who was on the call and you rarely
hear this specificity from an analyst going if they're in zone and you're in this personnel
and you're running two guys on the left side that essentially are running the same routes against
zone like that's just not going to work and Caleb almost threw a pick because he was throwing to
that side of the field so that was like a very specific I think accurate side of the field. So that was like a very specific, I think, accurate critique of the design of that play.
So now all these things, passionate Bears guy at home
just going like, yeah, what the hell's going on with this?
So the other thing I don't like about
not kicking the field goal there is that
if when you're doing it at the end of the half
against another team that you should not be afraid of
with your defense on offense, right, the Colts offense,
you're not gonna get the ball back
except they got the ball back in like 50 seconds and then again they threw the Hail Mary that short. So then when they
score a touchdown to make it 14 to 9, you're thinking they're going to go for 2 to make it 14-11.
I also think there could be a conversation I feel like I'm the only one that talks about where it's
like would you possibly just go for one there knowing that if you score a touchdown
later on because their offense is shut down, wouldn't it be better to beat up
three than potentially lose on the last second field goal?
Is there any argument to be said that two bad things could happen on your two
point conversion as opposed to the reward of the one good thing that could happen?
And on top of it, like, how do you actually feel about your offense
executing a two point conversion?
As a Bears fan, I didn't feel great about it, but you know what I felt
worse about was when they called timeout because they forgot, were you doing
something else?
So they, one guy's like, now we're going for one.
And then it's like, well, the math says go for two, except for this weird
Rassillo math that I just shared with you.
It's later on math, I guess.
says go for two, except for this weird Rassillo math that I just shared with you.
It's later on math, I guess.
And like that doesn't seem like a good thing.
Were you like, what else were you doing in
preparation of that score?
What there's a million guys on the sideline.
There's people up in the booth.
It's just, it still will happen, but it's just
very shocking.
And then they had another time out a little bit later.
So look, I hate being embarrassed fan.
You know, I was just thinking about this morning.
What a great NFL weekend that was.
Man, was that great.
And Fandel is giving you another chance to start the season

That's your winner last week.
Um, going against things a bit.
So Jags at Buffalo tonight plus five and a half for Jacksonville.
Things have not been good.
Scheduled gets even tougher.
Trevor Lawrence can't get a win.
So let's, uh, let's go with that.
Let's take all those points.
Let's take all those lovely points, even though the Bulls are a football team.
So we'll go Jags plus five and a half.
We'll go Brian Thomas 40 plus receiving yards.
Feel like it'll be a bigger part of the offense and Trevor Lawrence,
200 plus passing yards.
So we're very Jags specific build on this one.
Those three will pay you out at plus 255.

Okay, we're gonna do it every week.
We needed four weeks in the books.
I'll give you my college football top 12.
We'll compare it to the AP a little bit.
And then I have two thoughts on Tennessee's win in Norman and Michigan's incredible comeback
against USC that it also looked like it was going to have an incredible comeback.
All right.
Number one, Texas.
No surprise there.
Big win again.
The Michigan win.
Maybe it's the most impressive.
I'm not sure.
Not sure how I feel.
We'll get to Michigan.
Don't worry about it, folks.
But they have the best backup QBE in college football.
Arch Manning after the game said pretty funny quotes.
He said, quote, the games feel a lot longer.
They're a lot longer than high school.
I agree with you.
I think Tennessee, Oklahoma was two hours total just for the first half.
That was before we got to halftime.
So there you go.
No surprises there.
Georgia still number two in the AP number two of mine as well.
Uh, weird though.
I feel like this happens with voting a lot where voters are go, what did everybody do?
Oh, they started voting Texas.
Number one, because Georgia had 23 first place votes last week, and then it
fell to 13 this week
and they didn't play so that's always a little weird. They are two and a half point favorites
at Bama for the game of the century of the week. I have Tennessee at number three. Ohio State's
number three in the AP. This is strictly about schedule. The NC State win looks like it doesn't mean anything despite expectations of NC State,
but just remember they played a freshman QB, CJ Bailey yesterday at Clemson or not,
but Saturday. So, hey man, weekends are a whirlwind. So, considering they have that, fine,
it means nothing. But to be that dominant against Oklahoma, against that Oklahoma defense and all the different things, and I'm going to spend a lot of time on this game in a few minutes
here, I don't care about the final score.
They're number one in defense and opposing yards per play, 2.8 yards per play is what
they're allowing right now.
And they've played a couple of real teams at the very least, right?
So I have them three because of the schedule of Ohio State.
Ohio State may be the best team in the country, but if I'm trying to dig through it, and
again, it can kind of contradict itself within the same week, but I'm going to have to So I have them three because of the schedule of Ohio State. Ohio State may be the best team in the country,
but if I'm trying to dig through it,
and again, it can kind of contradict itself
within the same week or week to week,
but it's strictly because of Ohio State's schedule.
That's why I have a number four.
The Marshall game, oddly enough,
28-14 at the half, a couple things happened there earlier.
Like, is this kind of a game?
And then it wasn't.
But the talent on offense for
Ohio State, like even if they aren't perfect, I mean they don't have to be perfect against
especially against a team like Marshall where bad play now that got stuff. All right, that didn't
work. The big play ability of so many of the guys were just one play a bad series is completely fixed. Where the Judkins he went for 86.
Trevion Henderson went for 40.
Ibuka went for 68.
Jeremiah Smith 53.
Tate a 30 yard play just big plays all day for the Buckeyes.
Miami's number five for me.
They're number seven in the AP.
They're number one in offense as far as yards per play.
It was 22 15 at the half against South Florida, then 28, nothing in the second
half.
So the finals just, this was actually another one of those acts.
This was felt like more of a game than even Ohio state Marshall because
USS quarterback Byron Brown, who I don't know how to describe him to.
If you have watched him play, I just like them.
I think you would like him to, he had Bama's defense on skates the first half.
And that at the time looked like what the hell's wrong with Alabama.
I think the reality is a South Florida is actually kind of like you get to show
up and play these guys because Alice scores their head coach.
Like these guys show up, they're ready to play former Tennessee offensive coordinator.
Um, the play where Brown got hurt, that play is going to be one of my favorite highlights of the season.
He's about to get sacked, a dude, it looks like he's like ready to tap out in a fight,
but the guy's on his back and then he carries that guy, flicks him off of him,
and then still gets a gain on the ground. He's just a very odd,
tough player at the position, but he's a
difference maker. And I've seen it now for a couple of halves against two top,
what do we got? Top seven, top eight teams in the country.
So I have Bama a little bit lower.
I feel much better about them after the Wisconsin game.
Milro is the best running quarterback, I think in college football.
We've already talked about depth and all the clones on defense there.
And look, we'll see, we'll see what happens against Georgia here. It doesn't really matter.
I've got Oregon seven, the Boise State game just made me feel so much better after the,
well, I would say the Oregon State game after the Boise State game, the Idaho stuff. That's fine.
Penn State, West Virginia. I have Penn State ahead of Ole Miss just because of the West Virginia game.
West Virginia, I have Penn State ahead of Ole Miss just because of the West Virginia game. Aller's number three in college football and passer rating. Cam Rising's one, although he's
missed time. Jackson Dart is two. Aller's completing 71% of his passes. They've had big plays. This
past weekend was a stat pad game. The big tough backup even got in on the action a little bit.
So speaking of stat padding, that's where number nine Ole Miss comes in. Their four opponents have a combined five and 10 record. That's Furman,
middle Tennessee, Wake, Georgia Southern, and they'll have a month stretch later on in the
season where they have LSU Oklahoma and Georgia. That'll be three of those games within a month.
I have Utah 10. I have you talk 10.
I debated putting them nine with the win against Oklahoma State.
There was a twenty two nineteen final,
but it was actually twenty two to three in the fourth quarter.
Oklahoma State's had some weird ugly games that also have been wins to late.
Fifty two carries here.
Isaac Wilson, a quarterback, he's all right.
But he's not rising and with rise, maybe this is, I'm, I feel like in a way
I'm probably defaulting to giving them still this spot, just the expectation with
this hand injury that rising is supposed to play, we were told it wasn't going to
be that big of a deal now here we are again, doing this all over.
Uh, I have Missouri 11.
I'm okay with it.
Vandy game was tough.
The Boston college game was tough. The Boston college game was tough.
The Boston college is three and one with Castellanos, a quarterback.
We had one life advice that I did not read.
It was from a BC Eagles fan that said, Hey, thanks.
When you said BC doesn't suck to Todd, that's the nicest thing anybody's ever said.
And I was like, okay.
He was being kind of funny, but I should have spent nicer.
I should have, cause I think Boston college may be Michigan state this past week.
Not that they're killers, but no, you got to show up and play Boston College.
And Vandy isn't Vandy anymore.
If you watch the Virginia Tech game and watch Diego Pavia play his transfer from New Mexico
State, he's just a badass running out.
You don't expect him to survive by halftime and somehow he does.
He's listed at six feet.
Not sure.
Not sure about that one. And look, I know,
I know Vandy lost to the Georgia State Panthers, but they're not the doormat you would think they
would be in Mizzou, Mrs. Three field goal. So look, I'm not going to have Missouri outside of
the top 12, even if I don't feel the same way about them as I do some other teams that are ahead of them.
That brings us to number 12.
The AP and coaches both both have Michigan.
I don't know.
Michigan's been in my head now for two years, right?
I haven't been able to get it right with them.
But I'm not putting them there. No, I'm not doing it. I can't put USC there, obviously.
But I also can't put LSU there because of the USC part of it. Like even though I don't think
the head-to-head should be the defining moment as we get like 10 weeks into all of this stuff,
I think right now like what's the point of doing this if you still feel better about a different team, you like you to put them in.
So I'm going to put Clemson in there. They destroyed NC State, but again,
it was CJ Bailey, a quarterback, uh, Grayson's out of this one,
smashed up last week. So it's not the same thing.
And I think at some point of me, like if NC State falls apart here,
it won't be thought of as a good win for anybody. But after the opener against Georgia, the Clemson write-off
happened. Well, in the conversation of like, is the dabble run over based on the expectations
that we had had for Clemson in this program for so many years? Okay, that's fine. I don't think
that's a massive reaction because we've been trending in that
direction for multiple seasons.
But when you look at the rest of the ACC, where I still think it's Miami's
league, writing off Clemson and winning that and then getting the
playoffs would be a big mistake.
And I just felt like, Hey, you're all the playmakers and here's Bubnik
like running around a little bit.
So they're putting something together there on offense, despite not necessarily being challenged
by the opposing quarterback.
So anyway, let me transition into Michigan's win at home.
Because I think there's another Clemson Michigan argument
with this, like, okay, well, LSU has the best loss against SC
because it's neutral field, it's last time,
but it's like, I don't know,
they were tied with UCLA at home in Baton Rouge.
And now Perkins is out for the season with the ACL,
just awful watching that happen.
So again, I still think LSU is going to be good, but I'm not going to put them 12th.
And again, I can't, I think the Michigan loss at home against Texas is that one's
still worse than Clemson's loss to Georgia because it was still sort of a game at
halftime and Clemson's defense looked really good.
I don't know.
I mean, we're just going to go in circles and everybody's just going
to pick whatever they're rooting for.
So here's one of my favorite quotes that I had from a financial person on a
stock and investment doing really shitty.
And the story was relayed to me.
It wasn't something I did, but it was just really funny.
And it was like somebody in the room was being criticized for something they had
done and they basically said the data was right, but the results were wrong.
That's how I felt about USC Michigan.
I really liked SC because of the quarterback situation at Michigan.
If Orji was the guy who he saw samples of last year in relief at JJ McCarthy,
and then he loses the job to Warren Davis, who wasn't really doing much on
offense for this Michigan team.
And then Orji gets to start.
Like that didn't feel like, Hey, Orji finally turned things around.
I felt like you just were going to make a change because you knew you needed to.
And there was even some defensive stuff with Michigan where you wondered, is
this team as good as advertised or some of the personnel the elite personnel they have a D line and corner
Well for a half it looked like it didn't matter if they ever were going to attempt to pass because they destroyed
Everything SC was trying to do
SC couldn't block them, you know
Lincoln Riley you figured put him put him down for 28 points at least every single week and he'll figure something out
The goods the good news for USC is this defense actually looks like it's going to be
able to challenge some people, whether you watch the LSU game, Utah State,
throw that in there and then this Michigan contest.
Granted, it was pretty one-dimensional against Michigan's offense, but as
SC was coming back, I thought like, this is going to be one of those wins on
the road, Nothing's working.
You make an adjustment on the offensive line.
Moss may be more aware of what's going on and now they're moving the football here a
little bit.
And this is going to feel like, how did you win this game after their terrible first
30 minutes where you weren't going to be able to figure anything out?
Now Michigan can't do anything.
I think they'd had like 28 yards of total offense in the second half before the Mullings run
that ended up leading to the game winning touchdown.
But at the same time, like for all the credit
I was willing to give SC for pulling out this tough game
that I thought they were gonna win.
The same needs to be said for Michigan.
You can't throw the ball, you're not moving it.
They figured out the defense here a little bit
and you still found a way to hang on
and win this one at home.
The reason I don't have 12 is that I'm just not going to take a team
that seriously until I can see you throw a forward pass. There was a third and 10 play where Orji was
so confused against the pass rush where it wasn't like he was sacked immediately and had no chance
to get the throw off. He just didn't really know what was going on back there. And at that point,
you get to tell him, hey, on third and 10, just throw it. Any one-on-one you see, just throw it because you're like 30% likely to get a pass
interference call on that kind of play.
Like some, some kid will freak out and attack the receiver.
Like just at least get the ball out there a little bit.
So that is really concerning.
And I just don't know that I can take you seriously when I don't think
you're going to get it done on third and seven.
Now Michigan fans can say, didn't a lot of you guys say the same
shit with JJ McCarthy last year?
Like, is he really as good as all the other quarterbacks?
Well, sort of, but I also think Orji is going 12th or excuse me,
10th in the draft this year.
Because even as people dug through all the JJ McCarthy tape, people started
to like him more and more prior to the draft and I don't, look, there's always
a chance with more experience, more reps,
all the stuff at being his team that'll get figured out.
It's an incredibly tough football type win.
Those, those moments where you're like, Hey, it's going to be hard.
It's going to be hard more series than not.
You've got to stay in it.
You can't give up and credit for Michigan or credit to Michigan for pulling that off, even if I'm going to have some longer term doubts about how their
offense is going gonna stack up
against the other contenders in the big 10.
Okay, final thought.
This one I felt good about
because after the two lane game,
mentioned a couple of times last week,
and then watching Tennessee for good chunks this season,
all the NC State game,
and granted in some of these Tennessee games
you're gonna be turning officer point,
you're like this front for Tennessee is serious
and it has multiple options beyond Pierce, the top 10 projected pick in the draft at edge.
So I talked about it a couple of different times, but it was, it was a very
hopeful analysis, I felt like out of Norman, that even with all the turnover
in the O-line and lack of experience and, Hey, you're getting a guy back and like
all this stuff's going to kind of figure out.
And like, I just hate whenever analysis is based on desire for the thing that's
going to make you feel better, hopefully happen.
And that's what it felt like.
So immediately you're like, this is a problem.
The problem that I thought Oklahoma was going to have on the O line showed up.
Immediately.
Here's a stat for you.
On the first 23 rushing plays from Oklahoma, they were hit at or behind
the line of scrimmage on 16 of them.
That really wasn't the entire part of the story because Jackson Arnold, the quarterback, big time
recruit, he's got the pick that's bad. He's got the fumble. And then ultimately the backward pass
where Venables had said after the game that that wasn't even a read. And that backward pass leads
to a fumble. There's a little fumble off in this one, same thing as USC and Michigan,
but really nothing going right.
And then Michael Hawkins, the freshmen comes in at the end of the first half.
And I almost felt like that was like a mental reset for Arnold.
And then I don't know if you were watching the game, but Herb Street and Fowler
see Arnold throwing on his helmet.
As we're getting ready for the second half and they're thinking the same thing.
I'm thinking is like the Hawkins series was a mental reset for like, Nope, Arnold's done and he's going to be benched.
And I tweeted it out and people, you know, whatever.
But I was surprised knowing what the O-line struggles and the likelihood that Arnold was taking all of the reps and was the quarterback.
I don't, I'm not as locked into Sooners.com as some of you might be, but my educated guess would be,
despite the talk of how much better Hawkins was
and some of the prep stuff, I doubt this week,
they were wasting Arnold reps on getting Hawkins ready
against Tennessee in this game.
So I was like, is this really going to...
And then look, the final ends up being a 25 15 game, even though it was 22 to
three.
And I was a little surprised like Herbstreet said on the
broadcast quote, this kid's your quarterback.
I'm not sitting here telling you Arnold was sneaky better
because he wasn't, it was terrible.
And maybe it's some hangover from the pick six against two
lane where that ends up becoming a game again there a little
bit, but I just don't like fools gold series. And maybe it's some hangover from the pick six against Tulane where that ends up becoming a game again there a little bit.
But I just don't like fool's gold series.
I think Tennessee could have put up a bigger number if they wanted to.
With all the talk about Iamaleava, they didn't really even need him to light it up.
And now you're starting to look at that receiver depth where it feels like Hypal and the staff,
just, hey, guess what?
We turn guys into awesome receivers
and then all of a sudden we have all of this depth
and they have it.
The running back depth as well.
So I don't know if Hypal maybe just looked at the game
it's like, we're not gonna lose this.
So we'll dial it back a little bit.
I don't know if it was out of respect
for his history in Norman,
but I was in a different category of what felt like, okay, Arnold's done now.
Hawkins is the guy because of those series late and putting up a couple
scores against the Tennessee team that knew there was zero threat.
And it's super frustrating for Sooners fans because you finally feel
like you have the defense right.
The other part of it is like, Hey, who cares?
Like you're still in it.
You're still alive for the playoff now.
Maybe not though, because they have Texas,
Ole Miss, Missouri, Bama and LSU
and the rest of the schedule.
They're going to play five of the currently
top 14 projected teams in the AP.
So maybe the Sooners aren't going to the playoffs.

Mondays with McShay. We got it started here with some NFL stuff and we'll do some college as well.
Okay.
Let's talk about a theme that's been going on now a few weeks.
I know you were on it this weekend.
We see Darnold in Minnesota.
We see Baker post a couple stops.
I mean, there's other QBs, I think Malik Willis, Lafleur, on and on and on.
Although I think that one's maybe a little bit more debatable, but how
convinced are you that it really is a big deal? stops. I mean, there's other QBs, I think Malik Willis, Lafleur, on and on and on.
Although I think that one's maybe a little bit more debatable, but how
convinced are you that it really is the fit in the coaching more so than it is
what's inside the quarterback?
Um, I think it's a huge factor in it.
I think coaching can prevent quarterbacks from reaching a certain level in
their, in their play.
I think there's only so many elite
coaches, right? There's only so many guys that actually know how to develop, know how to play
to their quarterback strengths and know how to simplify things when things need to be simplified
in certain situations. Malik is a perfect example. I had him dead to rights. I thought, you know, he's an unbelievable athlete
coming out of Liberty.
He's got an arm, but even talking to Hugh Freeze,
like I remember, I've talked to coaches for 20 years now
about their quarterbacks and it's almost always like,
oh, you should see him, first guy in, last guy out,
the leadership, the way he takes the coaching,
how quick he is processed, you know,
like it's the same thing over and over. So when a, how quick he is processed, you know, like it's the
same thing over and over. So when a coach comes is like, you know, there's some maturity stuff.
I don't know that, you know, I got to calm them down. Sometimes he comes to the sideline and he's
not really, he can't really recall what, what happened in terms of play by play. Like I remember
walking away and be like, whoo. And he also told me it was at the pro day. He told me that he talked to the like three head coaches that day.
There were three general managers, I should say that day.
And then I talked to him at the, at the senior bowl.
He's like, I was up there with six general managers.
So I'm like, he's having these same conversations with general managers.
And then Malik falls to the third round.
And based on what we saw from Malik early in his career, third round may have been too
early, right?
Like get out of here, Tennessee. Like you're gone. So to see a coach that knows what he's doing
in the floor has had success with, with Jordan love and what he's been able to do. The coaching
tree that he comes from with the Shanahan coaching tree is, is really like, if I'm hiring
a head coach, I'm finding one of those guys, You know, you, you talk about like Ben Johnson,
Detroit is one of those guys that's kind of next up for a head coaching job.
But like Mike McDaniel, Sean McVay, even like,
we talked about a Kubiak and I know the saints didn't play all that well this,
this past week,
but the first two weeks with the saints and Kubiak and what he's done to Derek
Carr and it kind of taken Derek Carter with different level for the first two weeks.
KOC with Darnold in Minnesota, Kyle obviously with Purdy and what Brock has been able to
do.
So like you watch guys like LeFleur and KOC and Kyle and Kubiak and McVeigh and McDaniel.
And you're like, why is it that they can do this with guys that aren't considered elite
and or have struggled in other places?
And then you watch what's going on in some other places like Tennessee, right?
In the past, and we'll see what, you know, how it plays out this year.
You look at, you look at what has got, what went on for so many years with the jets before
they brought in Aaron Rogers because they had to go with a veteran who can bring in his
own guy. Like there are certain Carolina, there's certain places and certain coaches
that just can't get out of these quarterbacks. What is necessary to, in order to raise their
level. And I'm sitting there on the couch yesterday watching these games. I'm like,
why is it like, not why is it? That wasn't the question. The question was like, how simple is this? Like let's not,
let's not overcomplicate this thing. How simple is this? Like there's like eight or nine guys
in the league, obviously throwing Andy Reed and a couple other, there's like eight or
nine guys in this league where pretty much, you know, Skylar Thompson, maybe a little,
a little bit different. Like, you know, we're, we're asking too much for McDaniel to turn him into
something special. And I'm not saying Malik's going to be anything special long-term, but
I think in a short period of time, you, you reduce the play sheet down to something that,
you know, that is manageable for Malik. You put him in a situation to succeed.
You allow him to use his legs.
When you call shots down the field, they're well designed.
They're well thought out.
They're based off of the play action
and different things that they've already set up.
Like, why is it I'm seeing all these quarterbacks
have success with a certain eight, nine guys in the league?
And it doesn't really seem to matter who the other guys are
in terms of the quarterback talent. They're not succeeding in other places.
Chicago's tough to watch right now.
Like you can go down the list of the haves and the have-nots in NFL coaching and
what, and it's purely based off of,
do we have a guy that can make a quarterback the best version of himself?
Period. And it became so simple in my mind yesterday.
Specific to Malik, I'd have to see a little bit more.
Of course, of course.
Because of what they've been able to do running the football.
And I'm rooting for him because I would say of all the guys
over the previous years that I've met through the
Elite 11 experience, unless he just has, you know, tricked me,
but I didn't really get that sense because everybody liked him. He was incredibly like, his personality was awesome.
And he was so nice. He's a great guy. Yeah. It's hard not to root for him. Yeah, right. I'm rooting
for him. I'm rooting for him, but I also see the immaturity in him. Yeah, but the little floor part
of this though, like if they liked him enough, that organization, like it's certain, like the little floor part of this though, like if, if they liked him enough, that organization,
like it's certain, like the Spurs used to have a run where if the Spurs drafted somebody
I didn't like, I just assumed I was wrong about the draft pick.
Right.
The Spurs had like an incredible run there for a while where it's just anytime they did
something, I'm like, well, whatever I thought, if somebody I liked, it was like, I knew I
was right.
And it was like the Seahawks, the Seahawks for like five, six years with John Schneider. Same deal.
Right.
So if Green Bay likes a quarterback enough to
acquire him, which is the other funny part about
the Malik story of the revenge against the
Titans and Will Levis just having these, I mean,
he is, he's not just throwing a complete passes.
He's, he's like lighting stuff on fire and then
going like walking away from it.
So I don't,
I'm reluctant to go like, oh, whatever,
this is game plan, look at the rushing yards.
It has really nothing to do with him.
And now we're just adding him as an example
because it's Green Bay and they're interested in him.
I go, oh, okay, well maybe they see something
that a lot of other people didn't see.
I wonder, is there anyone,
is there anyone from your quarterback past? And this isn't about right and wrong and evaluations, but somebody where you look at, you know, the
Baker part of this is very real. The golf thing with Johnson.
Sam Darnold, like we've talked about Sam Darnold for years.
Right. So you think it's Darnold? Like somebody
if you're a pastor, like if this person had just had a better situation.
If he had Darnold.
Sam Darnold.
Sam Darnold.
And we're seeing it like,
I'm now like sitting at one,
Vikings one o'clock like appointment.
Like I got the red zone and all these other games.
So how good is it?
How good is it actually?
It feels so good because you know,
like when you sit there and evaluate a quarterback
and you see what he can be,
you have to recognize his flaws. And I recognized his flaws at USC,
but I also saw the ability to extend plays.
And I saw a talent level that he had that a lot of other guys don't have.
I saw his competitive nature.
I saw him come back and make big plays and big time situations.
Was it the Rose Bowl, Penn State? Like the Penn State game, I fell in love with it.
Yeah. Yeah. But then they'll go back and study all this tape and be like, all and big time situations. Was it the Rose Bowl, Penn State? Like I saw- The Penn State game, I fell in love with it.
Yeah, yeah.
But then they'll go back and study all this tape
and be like, all right,
the work has to be done here to cut down on mistakes.
You got to get them in rhythm.
You've got to work on his mental timing
because it's a little bit like Caleb.
Like he's so used to kind of extending plays
and backyard football and all that.
But like Mahomes, same deal. Mahomes is the biggest
extreme of all time in scouting. An absolute mess in terms of his footwork and all those things.
He gets one year to sit back. He's got Alex Smith helping him. He's got Andy Reed coaching him.
And he turns out like where he is today. If Sam had, I'm not even saying he needed all of that.
If Sam had the coaching that he's getting now from day one, he would have struggled.
He would have made mistakes, but there would have been a curve, like a progression that
we never got to see.
And then he goes to freaking Carolina, like, come on, like, but he also got time with Shanahan
before as a backup, before going before going to Kevin O'Connell.
And now you're seeing like, all right, there's been some foundation laid. He went, I don't know
how many years it was with the Jets in Carolina, like five years, whatever the combined two spots
were. He went about five years of not laying any foundation. Then he gets a little bit of time in San Francisco with Kyle.
He gets some time with Kevin in Minnesota.
And now we're seeing the guy like if the season's over after three weeks, he's the MVP of the
league.
Like he's playing at such a high level with confidence.
And it's not that it was easy to fix the things that he had wrong, but they're fixable.
They're all, they were all coachable things from day one.
Why did it take this long for him to get to this point?
Yeah, you're right.
I mean, six years, it's all the stops.
And I just think that quarterbacks once they show maybe prove is the wrong word,
but show that they're not the guy then it's over for you.
Like I go through all the depth charts at quarterback every August.
And then in the September, once the final rosters are announced and I'm
shocked at like half of the backups have never played and it's the hope that.
Hey, I really liked this guy.
Let's stash him.
Let's try to develop him in house.
And then he never really gets enough first team reps.
He never gets any game action.
Your starter's just good enough to kind of be average.
So you can't really justify benching him or anything.
The preseason is a joke.
Right.
Preseason is a joke.
Nobody's playing anything real, no real defense.
You're not even going up against any starters now.
So all that stuff looks fake.
And then that backup doesn't really play any
meaningful football for like three years.
And then he's replaced by the next fourth
rounder that you kind of liked in college and
you have a higher grade on, even though the guy
had never even got a chance.
So the development part of it's gone and it's
just rare.
Like I was watching Daniel Jones a little bit.
I wasn't super locked into it.
It appeared as if it was like, is he actually
playing well again now? Like what, what the hell's
going on? Does this extend its window? Do they not want to get out of that massive number? Maybe
they renegotiate or other things. I got news for you. Dayball is one of those guys. When I talk about
Dayball is one of those guys that can actually develop quarterbacks. So the fact that it's
taking this long and there's still questions. course, no organization would have this long, like no one could wait until
year seven on Darnold. Um, you w you would just move. So I'm not even saying
like it's the NFL's fault, but once the perception page has been turned on you.
It's tough.
Yeah.
Like I would expect it.
Baker.
I expect Daniel Jones to be a backup.
So I'm like, I'd have to see a little bit more than the limited viewing that I
saw against Cleveland this week.
But if you asked me going into the year, what's going to happen with Daniel Jones
be like, Oh, he'll be somebody's backup.
It could be backup somewhere else.
And he's going to get Mitch Trubisky for a little bit.
Yeah.
And I'm still kind of on that train, if I'm going to be honest.
Yeah.
I don't, I think it'd actually be ridiculous to assume that he is the guy in 25 here.
He's more likely the first scenario, but I, it's, it's just hard, even though we've seen some nice, nice turnarounds.
Can we talk about Malik neighbors just for like eight seconds?
Yeah, please.
Oh, come on.
I'm like, am I supposed to follow that up?
That's it.
I said eight seconds.
I think we're like 15 already.
Title this McShea last eight seconds on League neighbors.
Yeah, that's, that'll be good. No, but I mean, are you watching him?
I know the giants are tough to watch sometimes, but my goodness, like his ability to separate,
his ability to create after the catch, everything we talked about last year, like it's rare that
you have a year where you're like in debates and fights in your draft room. And I know everyone
was like Marvin Harrison Jr.
He's the number one guy, the best in the generation of all that.
But I told you last year, like if my choice, I'm taking Malik over, over Marvin Harris.
Like that's how you did.
And I had Marvin Harrison is the number three prospect in the entire class.
But I had Malik too.
I don't know.
This isn't like, I told you, I'm just saying they're both special players,
but there's something Malik is just different, man.
He is different. He's fun to watch.
Yeah, maybe that's part of the Daniel Jones part of it.
But I would say like watching watching Harrison again
yesterday, he's doing the exact same stuff where you like,
you think he's covered and he's not, you know,
there's no wrong with like, they're both phenomenal,
phenomenal players and they're fun to watch.
It was nice to see Rome have a day too as well for the Bears, for my Bears.
Alright, Stafford.
What's going on?
I saw like a tweet.
What's the deal?
Catch me up to speed.
I don't follow your every move.
I don't talk to you every day.
I'm a Bears fan now.
Now?
Okay.
Yeah.
This season?
I didn't know.
Yeah, three weeks in, I hate it.
I mean, it's a tortured society, right?
Not a lot of history there that makes you feel great about the position, but that's
okay.
I've just, I don't want to be on the fence about every single draft pick.
It just gets boring because that's kind of what I've convinced myself based on my own
results and the data.
Like, I don't know, you know, guys go in one and I've watched them three years in college and I'm doing podcasts going like, I don't know, maybe.
So, cause I'm so, so with him, I was like, there is no maybe, there's no maybe,
even though I know deep down, there's always a chance.
Let's talk about guys on another team in four years, but that's not
happening. Another real brief conversation.
I don't want to do it, but go ahead.
No, I'm just, I'm, I'm like, for me,
it's all about art. So how do we fix this? We just had this really good conversation about
the Shanahan tree and Kyle and KOC and Kubiak and McVeigh and McDaniel and all those guys, right?
Maybe it's like bring in Brian Greasy for Chicago or someone like I would bring in someone.
So I would hand over the organization to someone who actually knows how to develop a quarterback.
Period. I am not taking a chance that we have a Bryce Young situation on our hand in 2025.
I'm not. I'm not risking another Sam Darnold. I'm not. I'm not, I'm not risking, I'm not risking another Sam Darnold
situation. Like I'm not doing that. I don't care what it takes. If I'm ownership, I don't
care what it takes.
In soccer, the lone out players, what if you went to the Niners and said, we'll give you
a first and Caleb Williams, but the deal is you have to trade them back to us.
So take them for a year and coach them and then
send them back.
24 is probably not going to be great.
So just let him be an apprentice.
You can even play him, but just you have to send
them back to us in 25 after he had a year with
Shannon, but you'll get a first rounder out of it.
And just to make the transaction work legally,
like give us Caleb back for another seventh or
something, but you can keep the first. We don't,
we don't want to get him hurt behind this old line.
I mean, it's the most absurd thing you've said, but it like,
it might actually help. That's the sad part.
That situation and the fact that it might actually be an upgrade over what is
being offered right now. Like think about how, how ridiculous that is.
Why would the Niners say no to? offered right now, like think about how ridiculous that is.
Why would the Niners say no to?
Cause they wouldn't say no cause they'd never send them
back. They'd get their lawyers on it immediately.
Okay. All right.
I know you want to talk about two other things before we get
to college ball, give us, I am this,
this podcast has had a flag on Stafford appreciation mountain for years and years
and years.
And I love that Detroit game because like Jordan Palmer had me on and he was like, what
do you look at?
I was like, I don't have an advanced metric for college quarterbacks.
I don't have this.
I've looked at all this stuff.
I talked about it way too much because I just am obsessed with the topic.
But like, it's just a very, like, I can't really tell you anything other than when on
Saturdays a guy drops back and it's like third and seven and I go, do I feel
great or do I feel like there's no chance in hell?
And that's what separates those guys.
So it's solving the game.
It's solving a Saturday, solving a Sunday.
And when I watched out for opening week against Detroit with all the things
that were going wrong around him, I watched the quarterback solve the game,
even though they lost in overtime.
And that is probably my favorite thing to see.
And he does it, you know, look, I'm not telling you,
he's the best, but he's been doing it at a very high level
for a very long time.
And yesterday's win was incredible.
I just hope when he retires that there's enough,
like a high enough level of appreciation.
I think people who actually like study the game,
people who are like really care, appreciate them.
There's no question, but I guess I'm to a point in my career, like I can't
promote the guys that, that know how to do it enough.
And like, you know, like if, if, if your son is going to go play the game, like
if, if you're trying to coach a young quarterback put on Stafford's tape,
like how he processes, there's nothing better than seeing like the sky cam version.
Like I watched the all 22 and that's great too, but like the sky cam version
of seeing just behind him with the arms up and the bodies in front of him and
the coverage disguise, and there's three defenders in the second, third level,
like, like in the middle, and then he's throwing the ball to the left of them.
And the receiver runs into it. Like, it's just, he's, he's as good as it gets right now in the middle and then he's throwing the ball to the left of them and the receiver runs into it.
It's just he's as good as it gets right now in the league in terms of like, yeah, there's Mahomes,
I get it. But like if you're creating a second tier after Mahomes, he's got to be in it.
I mean, you don't have Cooper Cup, you don't have Pukin' Nakua,
Tutu Atwell is your guy and he goes out and, and, and winds up with, um, you know, four for 93.
They're running the football at Kyron Williams.
Just a side note, I, I still kicked myself about Kyron Williams.
I loved him in Notre Dame, second round grade on them, had my conversations in
April, he ran a four, six, five at the combine.
And so it's that size too.
He's undersized four, six, five trash. Right. But I was like,
I still like on tape, he's a second round grade. I'm going to put them in the third.
He winds up going in the fifth and like just watching him now, 116 total yards, three touchdowns
in that game. When you're two studs at wide receiver, aren't there and guys have to step
up. I don't know. And I just, I love watching the ramps. I love McVeigh.
I love the passion that they have for the game. I love.
He's an absolute dog inside the pocket, like nothing affects him.
Nothing affects him. I just,
I love Matthew Stafford the way he plays the football game.
And I love watching McVeigh after you're such a stud, like grabbing them,
hugging them, like they just want to play off game.
You know, like that, you can see it with those two guys, like the work they put
in, the love they have for it.
And it shows up on the, on the field and the product, even when they're losing
and they're overmatched, they're still, it's still great ball on that side of
the football.
Okay.
You have a minute on Travis Kelsey.
Why are we?
So I don't understand this and maybe it's a political thing.
Maybe it's, it's like the NFL and maybe I'm going to wind up getting a phone
call from the league offices.
Maybe it's the Taylor Swift.
I don't know.
But like when you're staring at something so obvious, why, like Chris Collins worth
is honest to God,
my favorite analyst out there to watch,
most respected analyst I think in football
for anyone who has a half a brain.
Wow.
And for like-
Tom Brady, hot seat.
Every show, every show I watch, every pregame show,
halftime show, postgame show, weekday show,
every broadcast I watched for the last few weeks,
it's like, are we not allowed to say that he's out of shape, that he's been
partying all off season? He's been jet setting around with his, the most famous
person probably in the entire world, that he's drinking on, you know, going to the,
to, you know, the US Open and he's got cocktails in it. Like, I don't know, but if
he, alright, but look, we both know there's a difference between having a drink at
the US Open and then thinking that it's just because I don't know that.
No, no, I know that.
But what I do know is I want you to take a picture from preseason 2022 and then take
a picture preseason 2024.
They're barely the same human being, Ryan.
And everyone's like, we gotta get the ball.
Why isn't he part of the offense?
The defense is double, yeah, the coverage is this,
here's the thing, bottom line with Kelsey,
the coverage and the respect he gets is the same,
the athlete is not.
Now is he gonna work himself into shape during the season?
Yeah, I'm sure he will.
He's an unbelievable competitor.
He's one of the best to ever do it.
And he still finds a way to make a play or two here and there
and shows up in some clutch moments,
but he's not the same guy right now.
Look at him, just look at his face.
I'm looking at his face right now,
and I've got a 22 pickup and I've got a 24 pickup.
I don't know.
I mean, every picture is different.
I remember Derek Jeter showed up one
year, looked like he weighed 275 pounds. It was just a bad angle. I had a show in Utah.
There's no debating that his body type is different. He's not in the same shape. I don't
see the same explosiveness. I see him wearing down a little bit in games. It's okay. He'll work
himself back into shape. It's not the first guy ever who's not like quite in the elite shape that he was. And now like
you're and you're sitting here and you're defending him too. Is like, is there some kind of like
message I'm not getting from the league that you're not allowed to say he's not in the same
shape. He's not able to produce at the highest level right now. And he'll probably work himself
back into shape by week eight, nine, 10 this season? Are we not allowed to say that? No I
didn't get an email for the record. I just am looking at the pictures trying
to figure out if I see a different hairstyle. He's got the Sicario
Brolin thing going on a little bit which is a choice which I also think when
you're a certain level of status it's like how weird can I make myself look
and still pull all of this shit off?
So look, all I'm saying is the athleticism and the lack of impact, I don't know if that's
defensively what they're doing, if it's a drop down, if he wasn't working out as much,
I don't know.
It's probably a fair assumption when you are in that kind of relationship, just jet-sitting
all over the place, tough to get the crunches in maybe
But he's also kind of a beast of a dude. So I'd imagine he probably still loves working out. Can you see this? I
Saw I went through the pictures. I can see that one
You think there's a significant difference in his face and it's not the mustache haircut
Yeah, maybe it is. I just I think he was I
Just don't think he's quite in the shape
that he normally, I'm not saying he's like that. I can't disagree with that. I can't
disagree mailing it in. I don't think it's like he's out there busting his ass. He's
a great player. Still. He's a really good player now, but it's, you can't, you can't
be in Hollywood. You can't be doing movies. You can't do a 55 commercials. You can't be
traveling all around the world. You can't be doing movies. You can't do a 55 commercials. You can't be traveling all around the world. You can't be doing shows like out and carry Taylor Swift.
You can't be doing all those things
and still be the same person physically
as you were in 2022.
Okay, I'm not arguing with you.
Maybe it's devil's advocate,
but I do feel like this is entering that phase of like,
Rory McRoy's not playing as well.
And it's like, oh, well, he has a girlfriend now.
And you go, well, he's the only fucking guy in the PGA
that has a significant others.
And all the Swifties can calm down.
I'm not blaming it on Taylor Swift.
I'm not blaming anything.
Uh-oh.
Yeah, I'm choking up now too.
All I'm saying is, when you win two Super Bowls,
you've got the
whole tour that happens after the super bowl.
He's the most commercialized guy.
Like there's no one else doing more commercials.
I don't think in the league, I mean, he and my homes are up there, but I think
Kelsey's doing more commercials and things.
He's been at more events, doing more things socially.
It's impossible to carry that schedule and still put in the same amount of time for football.
Right. But I also think if he was dating a girl from Sephora and looked the same,
had the same production, we have a very specific, well-known thing to point to and
then blame that thing. And I think it happens a lot with it.
But I'm blaming the commercials and Hollywood and all the other stuff too.
This isn't just you get a girlfriend.
I hate that.
Like I'm not for that.
I'm not here for that.
I'm not.
I'm here for just the-
You've always loved girlfriends.
Yeah.
Like guys have.
Yeah, yeah.
Guys have them.
Girlfriends are great.
They can, they actually, to be honest,
sometimes they're the best thing for you, right?
Anyway, my point is that there's a lot of distractions.
A lot of distractions and a lot of,
more so than distractions, time commitments.
And I don't like, I didn't plan on going on a long thing,
but I just hear these broadcasts and all these stories of
like, well, we got to get him the ball and, and, and why
isn't he, I'm just shocked.
Collins was the last time, I'm just shocked that we're here.
Three and a half quarters in and this is the production.
I'm like, yeah, but look at his schedule in the off season
and look at his body type compared to what it has been the past he's gonna
work his way into it he's just not there yet everything you said may be accurate
may be fair and I guess I'm just pushing back only for the sake of cover I don't
leave this going like hey I think you're wrong and the fact that we kind of
worked it out of like I just don't like whenever the athletes personal part of
it becomes public on who the significant other is girlfriend or wife then the
person isn't planning it.
And it's like, dude, this is the only guy's shit.
It's not, it really isn't.
It's not Taylor Swift, it's not the girlfriend.
It's you've got $120 million podcasts,
you've got hundreds of millions of dollars in commercials.
You've got all these commitments,
you're jet setting all over the place.
It's impossible to do both things to the same,
it's impossible to be in the kind of mental and physical shape football was
that you were when this was your only, like your major, major focus, you know?
I love Collins worth too.
I love Collins worth too, but I would say if there's a tendency to kind of lean in
to the app, like that Manning, that final season with Peyton Manning, when he just couldn't
to the at like that Manning that final season with paid Manning when he just couldn't make the throws anymore Collins worth was like exam I did a
ran on it where it was like he'd have a completion on some pop up to the
sideline outside of the numbers and Collins were like you're here and he
can't you know you were like you're like you're like do it makes part of what
makes them so lovable to right I get it. Okay, college ball.
Yeah.
You wanna, I can give you my top seven.
I mean, I guess maybe this doesn't really matter that much.
It depends really on what you're passionate about.
Are you more passionate about talking about Miami?
Cause you have them six.
I believe I also, I had them five.
Which in the 18. Go through your top seven.
Go through your top seven.
Let's just start with that. Texas, Georgia,
Tennessee, Ohio State, Miami, Bama, Oregon. Go through your top seven. Let's just start with it. Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, Miami, Bama, Oregon.
That's my top seven.
Okay, so I get Texas, Georgia, Tennessee.
That's the same for us, right?
Wow, we were the only ones that,
well, not the only ones, but the AP.
I don't blame the AP for having Ohio State.
Ohio State may be better than Tennessee,
but that win at Norman has to mean something.
So that's why I did.
Right.
I agree.
And we'll get to Tennessee in a minute.
Then I've got Bama four ahead of Ohio State.
I've just seen more, a little bit more out of Bama,
just a little bit,
but like what we're gonna find out this week.
Ohio State, I've got five, not impressed this past week,
but I also know they're not showing anything.
They're very, you know, minimalist.
Yeah, but you know what?
I watched that game and I said it in the open
when I talked about him.
Not impressive, except for the part
where there's five different guys
that can cover the entire length of the field on any.
You could have bad play, bad play,
80 yarder, next series, bad play, bad.
And then it's just like, okay,
but Chip Kelly and the offense are gonna find a way to get,
and again, we're going up against Marshall,
it should look like that, but we agree,
so we can keep moving on.
Then I got Miami six, Ole Miss seven.
I put Ole Miss ninth because of the schedule thing.
I gave Penn State the benefit of the Dow,
and then, you know, look, I guess for Oregon,
you know, look, it just, I'm probably three weeks in putting more into the Boise State
win because it's supposed to mean something and liking how they looked against Oregon
State.
Let's talk, let's do two things here before we finish up then.
I know you want to talk Miami and Cam Ward and then I guess we'll talk Tennessee.
Does that feel, and then we have a couple of our gimmicks here at the end before we
say goodbye.
Yeah.
I just, I just want to say for real quickly on Michigan, that. Does that feel, and then we have a couple of our gimmicks here at the end before we say goodbye.
Yeah, I just, I just want to say for real quickly on Michigan
that first of all, I actually respect and believe more
in USC today than I did Friday.
That is the defense.
Yeah. Josiah Stewart, old school approach,
Wink loves them, aggressive, physical, all over the field.
He's the guy beating up on the left tackle all day.
Yes, yes, edge rusher.
Their defensive tackles, Graham and Grant,
I don't know if they necessarily played to the level
the first couple of weeks,
this was what I expect to see from Michigan.
And if this carries on, they're gonna be a tough out.
And the cornerback, Will Johnson's exactly like, you see that pick six?
That's the second one of the year.
Do you see the pick six?
Like you don't see many college guys like have the eyes and the instincts
and jump it that confidently.
It wasn't like, uh, maybe I'll come off my, like gone.
I love that.
I think he's one of the best five players in the upcoming draft too.
So like Graham and, and Will Johnson to me are two of the best five prospects
in the entire class as, as of right now.
So just want to get a quick, and then, and then, um, Kaleo Mullings,
linebacker, 230 pounds, like perfect fit.
It's weird.
Two weeks ago, he put up a huge numbers and I thought, okay, like perfect fit. It's weird to see- Well, two weeks ago, he put up huge numbers
and I thought, okay, like,
cause it's just expected to be Donovan Edwards.
And look, Edwards has had to be-
Yeah, it's weird to see Donovan Edwards
just take a back seat.
But the way he breaks that tackle on that big run
that leads to his game winning touchdown,
like I couldn't believe-
Yes.
He knowing his physical profile and his speed,
like I couldn't believe he got out of it.
And then at the other side of it,
because he got a little delayed,
if he wasn't dealing with it,
he was gonna beat the entire secondary
at that size down the field.
The only reason he got caught
is because the other guys had momentum
going to where he was spinning out
of what was just an awful missed tackle
from a USC defense that just looks so much better
was making some great open field tackles
throughout the course of the day.
You wanna talk about stock rising for the draft.
Like there was no stock before and you know what I'm like, no stock to like, you know,
it's going to be fun to watch it because he's a perfect fit for what they want to do.
Right.
I mean, behind that often, they're going to have to or G's knock.
No, you want to talk third nine, like, Is it sustainable? We can get into that next week,
but is that, that was awesome to watch.
Like the eighties me came out, you know,
it's like, it's like watching bird lamb beer in the eighties.
It was like the nineties, like Clemens,
Pettit, like pitching, do it like,
it just felt like old school, tough, you know?
But is it sustainable?
Well, their defense was so good in the first half.
I don't know, it's a question we need to kind of keep in mind.
It's gonna be hard for me when you're talking about
like Michigan, like say the high end of it,
a team coming off a national championship
and you're looking at you or Zubeck and, you know,
Will Howard's not those two guys, but even Moss.
You have the weapons around them, you know. Yeah, right not those two guys, but even the boss around them.
Right.
Yeah. Right. And they've gotten really creative.
Let's talk cam ward because if you look at the Heisman odds as of right now, I think he's actually the betting favorite.
Is he? I could see that.
Yeah.
You know, so cam ward is like, he's, there's an element where I'm holding my breath sometimes because
he can't help himself.
Right.
He's going to make some throws where you're like, Oh, cool.
Like a couple Florida throws.
Yeah.
Just hang on.
But he's, he's doing it less than Washington state.
The other thing I was talking to scout the other day and he made a good point.
He's like, he's like, I get it. He goes in the Florida tapes, the best of his career. Like
I'm seeing the same stuff you guys are seeing everyone's seeing, but like just don't get too
far out in front. Not because you don't trust them, but, but they're for me, like he's put me into,
it was interesting how he phrased it. He goes, he's put me in a position where I can't give a lot of benefit of the
doubt. I've got to see it before I'm willing to like put my career on the line
for this guy. If I can see Florida tape over and over and over again, as, as the,
um, as the competition gets better, I'm in, like I see the talent, I'm, I'm all
in, but I'm, I get worried because he did the same thing at Washington
state early in the season, not great competition.
Now you get into conference play week in, week out.
And he was, he made a lot of erratic bad, poor decisions, all that stuff.
So it was just an interesting point talking from a scout who's out on the road.
Away from his family, grinding it out, checking, you know, going on
Twitter and reading all these things.
Cam Ward, you know, maybe first round, all this. He's like, he's like, I'm not saying he
won't be. I'm just saying like, be careful because this is how he, this is how he has played in
flashes before early in the season. So just one thing to throw out there, but his confidence level
is skyrocketing. He clearly, leadership he brings and they just trust him.
But I think the thing we're overlooking four receivers with at least 12
receptions, Xavier Restrepo, your favorite receiver in college football,
Isaiah Horton, Sam Brown, Jacoby George, they've combined for 65 catches, almost
900 yards and nine touchdowns through four
games. He's got weapons. You know, you talk about Ohio state and LSU and I'm not saying
it's to that level, but he's got weapons. It's going to be fun to watch because they,
they really, they, they are loaded and Martinez at running back, uh, Jordan Lyle to Jordan
Lyle, the freshmen kind of rotating in and out.
He had six for 104 and a touchdown in this game. So there's, there's a lot of talent there at Miami.
Then I, I don't know. I just, I look at the, we talked about the top seven and you threw in Oregon
and Penn state, they blow it. So that's nine right there. And Miami, Miami's like one of those nine,
we believe. And then there's other teams we're talking about like Clemson and LSU and even USC.
It's going to be interesting to see how it all shakes out.
I said it two weeks ago, I think there's more parity and they're more good.
Not forgetting parity.
There's more good football teams this year than I think we've had in years past.
Yeah.
I also think we're lowering the floor though, because you're looking at
Clemson
where you would have written them off like, well, there's no way the committee's
going to after a 34-3 loss and they could be a really good team by the end of the
year, but I'm glad you're not giving up on them.
I know we only have a couple of minutes, so we have a few things.
Do you have like a minute on Tennessee, Oklahoma?
Physical, physical game, two teams that played their asses off.
Give Oklahoma so much credit defensively.
I know no one wants to talk about Oklahoma today because it's not the big story.
Can you imagine being put in the binds that they were put in every time you make a play,
they go turn the ball, you turn the ball over, your offense goes and turns it over again.
So for Tennessee to line up physically and to take that beating, but to endure and kind of withstand it.
In a home game for Oklahoma, playing with that level of emotion,
I saw a lot of what you...
Like, it's cute to see the spread and the wide splits and the tempo
and the long throws and all that stuff.
This was a character building win for Tennessee,
to do this on the road with all the pressure with your head coach, former Heisman here, all that stuff to show the focus that they had.
That's the first thing that stood out.
Just a physical game where I thought that they, they gained a lot from this.
Second thing is offensively while, you know, we're talking about Nico and what he
can do, Yamal Lava, Yamal Lava, right? I'm going to get that and what he can do. Yamal-Eva, Yamal-Eva, right?
I'm gonna get that.
But he was inconsistent.
Like I didn't think that was a great game for him.
Yamal-Yava.
Yamal-Yava, thank you.
You keep me honest.
It took me a week.
Yeah, well, we're in week four now,
so I gotta clean it up.
But Dylan Sampson running the football with power, he did.
But honestly, God, the whole story for me was the defense.
Like that defensive front is, is so legitimate.
Like there, I know like, you know, the, the Holly row reports and
Herbie talking about it, like, but they legitimately are rotating 12 guys.
They're staying fresh throughout a game.
This is like what you expect from an sec juggernaut.
It's Tennessee 15 years ago when they had all those studs on the defensive line.
It's what you see from Georgia. It's what you see from
Georgia. It's what you see from Alabama. James Pierce is going
to be a top 10 top 15 pick. Tyree West, Josh Josephs,
Jackson Moye, Jason Jenkins. The list goes on and on. And then
that Keelan Pill kid who's not a kid, he's 26 years old after
BYU, the Mormon mission, transferring in
injured last year, the changes major.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Changes major.
That's hard on the mind.
So I just, to me, like, I don't know, they're, they're a good team.
They are, we both have them at three, but the physicality from a program
that's kind of known for the tempo spread, big play offense, that's encouraging when you get
into this SEC play.
Yeah, two years ago was a laser show,
and then you're like, okay, but are you gonna stop anybody?
And I don't care what NC State is,
I don't care what they are after the McCollins,
I just know that a team that at least was thought of
as like a decent power four team,
and you were like, this is gonna be ugly.
And then after I watched Oklahoma two lane, I went, this, this could be a problem.
And look, Jackson are almost terrible on top of everything else.
Okay.
We have one minute.
So we're going to try to do this.
We're going to go rapid fire.
And then at the end, we're doing Heisman Eliminator back from the
old game day days, 16 years ago, we installed that one.
Um, we're both going to draft three guys for the Heisman.
And that means after each week we can add or drop, and then we
take turns of who has the waiver. So give me your dude in a screen. I'll do that. And
then we'll do the Heisman draft and we're going to do it in under 60 seconds. Are you
right? Dude, dude of the week, JMU quarterback Alonzo Barnett, like North putting 70 on North
Carolina. Are you kidding? 500 total yards of offense, seven touchdowns.
It was the most points that the Dukes have ever scored
against an FBS opponent.
Due to the weak Alonzo Barnett, quarterback JMU.
Screen of the week, Ole Miss, Kentucky.
I need to see Ole Miss.
Yeah, we gotta see it.
Yeah, just against Kentucky, I have to see it.
And granted, maybe it'll be more like the Georgia, Kentucky, the South Carolina,
Kentucky.
I think that's a great pick.
All right, dude, for me, Diego Pavia, it's actually like two games because I loved him
against drones in the Virginia Tech game.
Uh, the beginning of the year, I know they lost it.
This guy had 4,000 total yards in New Mexico.
He's from Albuquerque.
He so had to be emotional to go to national in the first place, uh, last year, but he
just runs around like he doesn't care the entire game and also makes him pass this hasn't thrown a pick yet this year
This screen I went with lag way because I wanted to see him on possessions three six and nine
The funny thing is that Florida's?
Merch was actually terrific in this one. So at one point you're like, why are you gonna do this?
The Mississippi State was not great. They lose their quarterback in that one
Alright, we go.
So I'm supposed to do screen of the week
from the past week?
No, no, no, no, not at all.
I just took up too much time.
We're at a minute 10 here, so already over.
I'm gonna go Washington State Boise, the Cougs,
four and a-oh in the pack two.
And just with the group of five mess that we have
with some of those teams with some nice resume wins on there.
If you look through it, when people stop paying attention,
you're like, hey, what happened to Memphis?
What happened to Northern Illinois?
And all that kind of stuff.
So that may mean something
because the coup's off to a decent start.
Okay, Heisman Eliminator, you have the first choice.
We're just gonna go rapid fire, three each here,
and then we can add and drop whoever
as the schedule gets tougher.
All right, I do have to run,
but I'm gonna go Jalen Milrow, Alabama.
That's your first pick?
Yep. Jesus is that terrible.
Okay.
I'll, I'll go Travis Hunter.
Okay.
I'll go cam ward Miami.
All right.
I'll go yours.
I'm going to go Nico Yamaliyava.
See, I got it right.
You got it.
Yeah.
Now Nico's probably the best pick.
Um, I don't want wanna do this because it seems
like such an afterthought, but I'll just go with Beck.
All right.
All right, good stuff.
We'll talk to you next week.
I'll talk to you, brother.
Later.
You want details?
Fine.
I drive a Ferrari, 355 Cabriolet.
What's up?
I have a ridiculous house in the South Fork.
I have every toy you can possibly imagine.
And best of all, kids, I am liquid.
So, now you know what's possible.
Let me tell you what's required.
Okay, happy Monday to everybody.
Try to get you through this.
Kyle, looks like the pimples are gone.
Thanks.
Nice.
Hot start. It is, yeah, I'm actually I'm sitting
closer to the camera today. I was doing everything I could
pull out all the little directors tricks. But this is
like asked. All right. Oh, you know, you get through it. Life
advice, life advice, rr at gmail.com. Kyle, you look hotter
than normal today. Good for you. Thanks. Well, I felt bad for
you. This is really more of a sympathy thing because I just remember like last week when we did the first Friday feedback
video only thing for YouTube. You were just like, I'm not as hot as I normally would be.
It gets in your head. It really does. Well, it was in my head because then I was like
monitoring your hotness over the last, I don't know, five days and I was like, God, it looks
good today. So I just wanted to share that and let everybody know.
There's probably people wondering like, is a guy losing it?
Yeah, that was super nice to do it at the pod.
Thank you.
Yeah, not from where I'm sitting.
Okay.
I like this one.
I love this one.
It's a little more specific.
I think it's a pretty simple answer.
Friends asking to let strangers stay at my beach house.
This guy was super worked up about it because I think he sent it twice within hours, but
it's a good one. Mailman 38 year old, 5'11", 165 after being 200 earlier this year.
This guy's been putting in the work.
Yeah.
It's too light.
It's too light in the britches.
Pick up comp, white chocolate, including the elbow pass with even worse jumper.
I bought a sound front home with a dock, boat house and beach area three years ago.
Shout out to the beach lovers.
My kid's wife and I love it.
Spend over half our summers there,
boating, sailing, swimming, and creating memories.
Just like the Sopranos, they tried to, remember?
Whitecaps, that's right.
That lawyer was one of the all time greatest actors ever.
Just like I was like, is this guy a lawyer?
It's a very special place to us
and thus will never be a rental or Airbnb.
But because I spent some time during college
completely broken, living in my car,
drugs weren't involved, I was just really poor.
No property tax on that man, although exercise I guess.
Being generous is very important to me
and that extends to the beach house.
As a result, we regularly host friends there and invite them to use it.
Even when we're not around for free, we actively reach out to people and offer
dates for them to stay there and several of them take us up on it every year.
We tell all of them to come back and we keep the place stocked with wine,
beer and liquor to make their visits enjoyable.
We truly love when our friends use it.
What we don't love is when our friends ask if their friends or distant relatives,
people we've never met can use our beach house.
I don't, I met you two paragraphs ago and I don't like that.
Uh, we're just very uncomfortable strangers and people with whom we've never
developed trust, much less even met staying in our home at least three or four
times per season, we get such a request and have no idea how to handle it.
Are you have no idea how to handle it?
This is the easiest one we've ever done.
Yeah.
This is the easiest no ever.
Are we being weird or miserly by having a problem with this?
And if not, how do we respond to requests like this without being
rude coming across as uncharitable or discouraging our friends from using it
themselves, uh, bring back joy Taylor for life advice at some point. She was great.
Oh and another shout out to Benchmade knives. Which says that they're great.
I see what the buzz is about. Yeah I know. We gotta get you on that knife train.
All right yeah I mean easiest no ever. Do we need to get into this? The
concerning thing is you had to write the email twice to us to ask what you should do. This is the easiest no ever.
And you want to know why?
It's because none of your friends,
like it would be insane if your friends were upset
with you for not letting their friends,
again, that you don't know,
stay at the house that you bought.
It's nice, you're already like levels beyond nice
of allowing all these different people being proactive.
Hey, you can stay there for the whole thing.
Like I kind of get it.
I offered my condo Sean McVeigh once.
He was like, wow, yeah.
You know, I was like, dude, I don't know if you're down here
and you're this side of LAX, just let me know. And he was like, this guy's awesome.
And then it was kind of like, oh wait,
this guy lives in like a mansion up there.
I was like, my place is probably not gonna get it done
for him, new place maybe, but whatever.
So McVeigh can stay here.
Maybe for his friends, maybe his friends.
Have Schrager, have Schrager let him know.
But yeah, so yeah, he calls me like,
hey, my special teams guy was actually wondering.
So that condo offer you through it my way a few years ago.
So look, I, you don't have, first of all,
I'm worried about you.
I, you, you get trampled in other avenues of life.
You know, well, you're doing pretty good.
You got a beach house, right?
So I mean, I'm living on a yacht,
so I'm doing all right.
But what I have to express to you here,
beyond get, don't ask yourself any of those questions ever.
Okay?
Be nice to my friend, Jim.
You are providing the reward to the friends.
Fuck them if they're gonna be like,
oh dude, you're being a little,
they're never, even if they're dumb enough to think that,
they're never going to accuse you of anything
or ever say anything because they don't wanna jeopardize
the gift that you are giving them.
So I have nothing to say.
Yeah, you gotta have a little shame even like,
this is on your friends completely.
Like you should have a little shame
about asking if you could use it.
And that shame isn't always a bad thing. I just mean like maybe a little awareness is the word.
Favors are tough, right?
Favors are tough.
Because we all have friends that are like,
they do none, don't really blame them.
We've got the, I like to think of myself
as like in the middle guy.
I do favors to people I really care about, right?
And I'll go above and beyond to try to do it.
But if I don't really know you,
you know, I got other shit to do.
Right.
And then there's other people who are just constant takers.
Yeah.
Like, do you spend all day on the phone asking people for fucking favors?
Cold call it.
Yeah.
It's a, it's a philosophy thing.
Like some dudes just have that dog in them and they will see no, like there's
no reason they shouldn't ask this thing.
No reason.
Right.
Their entire life is the turnover margin.
They're just going like that.
They don't think about it.
I'm plus 32 the last decade.
So keep going.
Gotta get those FGAs up.
But I think it's just easy for you to just have a thing,
be like, listen, the line stops with my butts.
If it's people I don't, like it's that simple.
Like I think that's a rule everyone should be able
to get behind.
Maybe the only reason I would-
If I don't know you, you can't have my beach house. That is not mean. It's like the first amendment,
you know, I think like, I think that should that should just be said. And maybe maybe it's on you
for not saying that. But I mean, that's a one time say and you're and you're done. And I don't think
there's anything wrong with those dudes that have no awareness and are just putting up shots. But
you're some people shooting it like the second amendment?
Yeah, dude.
That was great.
But I just think you just got to stand your ground there and everything will go back to
normal and you won't even think about this.
I think, can I get a little clarity though here?
Just to, because I think it's so obvious what this should be, but-
We're all mad.
At least I am.
No, I mean, clearly, your friends,
there's some red flags going on here,
and you might have to make some hard decisions
in the future if your friends are this oblivious
about what is reasonable to ask of you.
Yeah, go for it.
Because then, no, that's just a dick move.
But my thing is-
What's your chain length,
because I'm about to get deep.
Is this guy saying, he's not saying,
hey, my second cousin, their family would like to use your place for a week there they're probably with like it's they're also coming with your friends right so they're staying with your friends so it's like do I trust these people that don't.
I don't know that are going to be sick because obviously if they're staying there alone that's insane like I would never let anyone stay alone that I didn't know what I'm at a place that I own.
know at a place that I own. But if it's like, Hey, like, we're going to be here. And I also want to bring my buddy Steve.
Like, I think there is a little bit of a weird line there because it's how much
do you trust the friends? But if, but I don't know, I think, I think, well, Kyle
said it's right. Like if you just have a hard, like, Hey man, we have a whole, a
no people we don't know here, staying here rule, then that just kind of solves
itself.
I wonder if the way he pitched it, like when they first come up, came up and
visited and were like literally dude, anytime.
Like even his email, it sounded like he was super,
I don't know if liberal is the word,
but like open about it and we'll stock it
and we'll do this, whatever.
And I wonder if just his pitch when they were like,
God, this place is incredible.
When they came down for the day and he's like,
dude, literally anytime.
I don't care.
And maybe your like opening pitch was just so like great that they were like, yeah, he said anytime. Like, I literally don't care and maybe that maybe you're like opening pitch was just so like Great that they were like, yeah, he said anytime like I literally don't care
I wonder if your pitch was just over the top maybe but that's also like, you know, hey, whatever you need
Let me know it's like this doesn't know like I'm going to pick up. Yes
I'm not gonna pick up your grandmother and like Vermont. Yeah, this is like that's not what I'm doing
like it's within reason and
You again Brian had it hit it out the nail on the head.
Like there's some people that like,
they just get high off of taking advantage of that,
which those are just shitty people in general.
Hey, pretty good stay low on condiments though.
Just a heads up.
But I want to call him to that.
Yeah.
I think you bring up a good point
just to try to hammer every angle that we try to do our best,
which can be a little frustrating when you look at it
from 38 different angles and somebody emails in,
can't believe you guys admit it and you're like,
all right, thanks.
Yeah, the way it's presented is that he's so open with it
that there's a couple people three to four times a summer
be like, hey, my brother, you know, would love,
like, I don't think it's-
It's looking for a week stay.
Yeah, I don't, I didn't really read it as like the person, the
cup, like say it's a married couple and they're saying, okay, this is your week.
First week, August.
And then, Oh, my, my brother is coming with his kids.
Cause I wouldn't imagine you're giving the house to them saying, no
one can visit you at it.
That's just not how I read it.
I looked at it as like a separate stay entirely because he's been so kind about
this.
Yeah.
Which is insane.
Look, I remember I was, um, I hadn't really, I don't know.
I tell some dad stories over the years, but I always feel like there's a lot of
lessons from the construction site.
And when you're a GC and you have all these subs,
subs will have a tendency to just try to get away with shit
all the time.
And you could be the most talented Finnish carpenter,
you know, just great with your edges
when you're hanging some rock, whatever, man.
But there's usually always a few guys on the site
that are just sketchy.
There's no way around it.
We're like, hey, this isn't my normal crew,
and I had to get them from somewhere else,
or these guys from New Bedford, or whatever.
There was just constant stuff.
There's always something going on,
where you try to figure out an angle,
or a guy would order extra material on that job,
knowing it was going to use it somewhere else and then charge the other person.
Well, my father would have to find it and the invoices and all this stuff.
That was always awesome.
Just near beat downs and driveways.
So I remember a guy asked my dad for money.
He was like, Hey, you know, my dad's nice, easy going, but he has a switch and this guy was like kind of
good time and I'm like, Hey, yeah, whatever, whatever. It was
like this ask his shift of leading to like a lunch money
request. Like you could just tell something was off. Like
this guy's really happy today. You're being weird or whatever.
Yeah. Yeah. Right. Like, Hey, you get the,
you get the truck washed Bob, you know, that kind of shit. It's like, what,
you know, let's get over there and the chops off. Oh my God.
Worst leg cramp ever. Whoa.
Oh my God.
That's the clip we're going to the YouTube clip right here. Yep. Oh,
that was so bad. And I took all my electrolyte tabs this morning too.
That's weird.
So you're out.
Um, I'm kidding.
No, no, I'm back in.
I'm back in.
But at one point it was like, is my leg just going to rip off?
Um, anyway, so a guy was like, Hey, you know, can I get it in
advance or whatever and get some cash?
My father just looked straight at him and said, I don't borrow money.
I don't lend it.
It's a good one.
And ended it, waited for him. Like, I wasn't going money. I don't lend it. It's a good one. And ended it, waited for him.
Like, I wasn't going to explain himself any further.
And that's what you need to do to the emailer.
You need to be direct.
You need to be efficient.
You just got to go.
No one stays here that I don't know.
Yeah.
I feel like this happens with pools a lot.
Both my parents have pooled.
My mom finally got an in-ground pool.
Great job by her.
Huge, huge undertaking.
And my dad's a little bit more like,
he'll come to the winter and be like,
hey, how many people are here?
Or like, can you guys turn the young thug down or whatever?
He's like, they know a little bit more of my mom
when they leave.
They're always like, dude, anytime,
we love having people here.
And next thing you know, my buddy's brother's texted me,
he's like, hey, can me and a couple of guys come over?
I'm at my mom's on vacation.
And I'm like, don't
want to say no, but like that's, this happens with pools that
to a, to a lesser degree, just once, once the word gets out,
people are like, well, do you think I could, do you think
maybe? And, uh, it's that's on my mom for not, for being a
little too open about it. And then she'll yell at me later,
but, uh, to her towards company, she's just always like, oh
yeah, of course, all the best things come on. So,
Hey, look, I remember, you know, a buddy,
he was like a summer kid and his parents didn't
show up, shout out to Ben Snow and his parents
wouldn't be at the summer house until like later
in the summer.
And then all of the East shop guys are Martha's
and I was like the one local that was accepted into the group. And then I was like, this is fucking heaven over here. Like this sick beach community house.
It's just dudes before any adult show up.
Like this is incredible.
And I overstayed my welcome, but I was also like 17.
Right.
And no one, no one was really telling me to leave,
but I was like, this is, this is awesome.
Whiffle ball during the day and then I was like,
I'm gonna go to the beach. I'm gonna go to the beach. I'm gonna go to the beach. I'm gonna go to the beach. I'm also like 17. Right. And no one was really telling me to leave,
but I was like, this is awesome.
Whiffle ball during the day and activities at night.
Count me in.
I remember after one of those summers,
I got to UVM and was like, this is a little slow.
It's a little slow for me.
All right, next email. Coworker won't stop inviting me to do stuff after work.
Five nine, one 75, NFL comp is shorter, slower, uglier,
taste some Hill.
Wow, dude.
Tough on yourself.
NBA comp, Danny age with a tan.
I've been working at my current company for a year and a half.
Enjoy it for the most part.
The only issue is one of my coworkers who will call Garth.
I believe you changed the name.
Garth is retired from the armed forces, 10 years my senior, loves to chat.
He's a nice enough guy.
He's really latched on to me.
In the beginning, Garth would stop by my office upwards of five times a day to shoot the breeze
about sports or whatever was on his mind for 10 or 15 minutes each time.
After about a month of this, I said something like, hey man, I'm happy to chat at lunch
or when I'm not busy,
but I'm falling behind on my work with all of these pop in
visits while you let them know.
That's a veteran too.
There was a slight delay in Kyle's laugh.
I was like, wait, that's Kyle humor.
Like I just killed that.
That was good.
It was there. I was like, it was a buildup. It's like, let me, let Kyle humor. Like I just killed that. Then it was good. It was there.
I was like, it was a buildup.
It's like, let me, let me get a spot before I chuckle.
So he took it as a slap in the face.
The visits to my office decreased
and now he makes jokes every so often
about how I'm too busy or too cold to talk to him.
Hey, busy guy over there.
It's captain too much to do over.
I love it.
I love that you did that.
Hey, guy.
Not today.
All right, Garth also casually suggests we hang out
after work all the time.
So this guy didn't give us his age.
I imagine 20s because I hope this guy isn't like 45, Garth.
I usually ignore these altogether
and say something like,
I've got plans with the family.
This is after, you know,
I suggested to hang out after work.
Over time though, Garth has started getting offended
as I try to tactfully rebuff his friendship advances.
His comments have shifted from casual suggestions
to direct confrontation about why we don't make plans
together.
Problem is this, I don't have anything in common with Garth
is I have no desire to hang out with him after work. He loves gambling,
boxing and drinking.
My interests lie somewhere between binge watching meat eater and making sure my
kids don't eat glue. Oh, so maybe this guy's a little bit older.
Yeah. No, well Garth is 10 years older,
but I was just trying to figure out like the age, like, is it 30, 40?
Is it 25, 35?
Garth knows I don't drink or gamble.
And the last boxing match I watched on purpose
was McGregor versus Mayweather 2017.
I mentioned Garth always enjoys drinking.
That might be the biggest understatement of our generation.
The dude lives a drink.
He brings it up multiple times a day
and loves to debrief the team on his epic weekends
of inebriated utopia every Monday.
Only seven pints for me.
Yes.
David Brent vibes here big time in an alternate, uh, when an alternate,
excuse me, reality where we didn't work together, but somehow cross paths,
we would never be friends.
I've started being more aggressive and responding to his hangout requests, telling him more than once
that I'd like to spend my free time with my wife,
my kids and close friends.
I thought this would subtly hint
that he is not one of those,
but it seems to have only emboldened him
in his quest to become one.
I like this guy.
Not really, but I like his tenacity.
How would you handle this?
As you can see, I've had frank conversations with him.
Are there ways to be more assertive
without ruining the team dynamic?
I don't want to crush this guy, but I don't see another way.
And once I go that route, there's no going back.
Love the pod, go Jazz.
You're right, Kyle, well written.
Kyle?
I mean, I would hang out with Garth.
The only thing is he's not-
Do you want me to connect you?
He's not, he's 10 years older.
Like he doesn't fall
in like the interesting old guy camp for me.
You know what I mean?
If my buddy, you know, that's basically Jim Cunningham.
He's 10 years older than me.
You know, so I've been there, done that.
But like, I don't know.
It sounds like you just have to say I don't wanna, no.
Unless you're like, I've fluttered in my head.
You can be like, Oh, my wife, but that's stupid.
You shouldn't make it like your wife be the bad guy.
You have to own this and just be like, I don't, I don't, I'm not into it.
I'm not into it.
Not like, Oh, I'm busy.
I'm like, you kind of already took that step.
You did, you did the hard work where you were like, Hey man, enough with the
pop-ins and then you were like, Hey, I kind of only want to hang out with people.
I want to hang out with you. I mean, really it's just a baby step now. It's where you were like, hey, I kind of only want to hang out with people I want to hang out with.
I mean, really, it's just a baby step now.
It's where you're like, hey man, I'm out.
I'm not into it.
Maybe that's a parking lot conversation,
not necessarily in the spaces of the cubicles or whatever,
but I think you're already kind of there
and you're very annoyed, probably angry.
I think you've already,
if you hadn't done any of that other stuff,
I wouldn't have suggested this, but I really don't see what else you can do. You've already
You know the lines in the water everyone everyone in this situation seems to know I bet you Garth knows
He's just maybe he's doing it out of spite at this point
But I think he just wants to make you feel uncomfortable for as long as possible
Yeah, maybe he's like if you won't say it to me, I'm gonna make him say
I don't know what's going on in this guy's head, but I think you just have to
Say exactly what you're trying to say here very concisely.
And, and, uh, that's it.
Yeah.
Like, is there nobody else in the office that you can be like, Hey, yeah.
Like my buddy, Mike, like he's looking, he's looking to do some stuff.
See if he's available and just kind of pawn it off on somebody else.
And then, you know, hopefully that kind of work, I don't know, maybe, maybe there aren't.
Uh, I don't know.
I, I feel like if you just go full asshole here,
you're gonna feel bad about it, and that's not,
I know it sounds like you're worked up about it,
and you don't wanna go that route,
but that's kinda the only way.
How harmless is it to just keep turning him down?
Maybe just get shorter and shorter
and see how few words you can make.
We always talk about making it a game out of something,
like how few words can you say
to shoot him down every time?
And he'll eventually just kind of,
yeah, just be like, no man, I'm busy.
No, not even busy, just no.
No, hey, you're gonna go out tonight?
No.
So that's what I would do.
I just don't, I think you're gonna regret
if you kind of take the asshole route here.
So I wouldn't recommend that.
I think you just kind of, I don't know, man.
Like the guy seems to have a good time at work and you know, like, is it, is it going to turn
from the thing where he's like joking about, Oh, busy guy over here to like,
Hey, actually I think you suck.
And like, then he starts spreading rumors about you at work.
I, I, I don't think you want to go that route.
Could you, all right.
Military service loves a drink, gamble boxing.
Could you just go, Hey man, I have new pronouns.
Cause I don't know that he might be like, huh?
Could you become the thing he doesn't want to hang out with?
It's a lot of work.
I think.
Yeah.
Not being true to yourself.
You'll hang out with most people.
This guy who loves drinking and boxing is like,
he already picked the total opposite guy of what he likes.
So it sounds like this guy would hang out
with lots of people.
You can tell him you just don't drink
and then you don't wanna get into it.
I mean, if you're trying to find a workaround,
although it'd be funny if you were some company thing
and be like, yeah, you know, I figured it out.
You know, just light beers.
He's like, I thought you, I don't know.
I look, ultimately anybody that's caught in this
dilemma, you realize any hesitation is further
punishment upon yourself that you don't ask for.
Like I worked with a guy when I was in Jersey.
I mentioned it a few times.
Maybe I won't get as many specifics, but he was
in a position of power.
I was newer.
I was closer to him in age as opposed to the other like wave of interns that were just too young.
I mean, I was like turning 27 that year.
So technically I wasn't an intern, but whatever that's, I'm not going to
spend an hour telling that story again, but he would always be like, Hey, um,
we should hang out, we should do something.
We should play video games.
We should do this.
We should have beers or whatever, whatever.
And I was always like, eh, I don't know.
And dude, I barely had any free time
because when you're working in minor league baseball, you just never have any free time.
You just don't. And you don't have any money to do anything. So like one time I finally said yes,
because I was like, all right, I'm not really getting along with this guy. So maybe you find
some sort of connection. You get outside the office, you have a few beers. Like that's how
men kind of find a way to like, you know, more, more ground has been made up in male relationships one night of drinking than like
literally a hundred meetings. Right. So I played in this like random men's pickup thing. And then
where I lived and where he lived. And then after the gym, like when I finally did it, I should have
like all sweaty, like an hour after. And then we played video games, had like two beers because I don't drive. And then I was like, all right, see you
later. And then I had to drive all the way back to like New Jersey. And it took me like an hour
and a half. I think I went to bed at like two and then I was in the office at 8 a.m. the next day.
And he was like, dude, that was awesome. We should do that again. And I was like,
I'm never doing that again. I just said it And I was like, I'm never doing that again. I just said it.
I was like, I'm never doing that again.
I was like, they could have been more inconvenient.
And I don't like you, but you know, like I tried.
And then I realized I'm like, is this better?
Because it doesn't feel like it.
So you're going to have to just get over yourself, man.
You're going to have to figure out a way to be direct.
And if the team dynamic is a little messed up, fine.
And here's the thing, it sounds like this guy,
this is gonna be the first time a new guy
didn't want a friendship datum, all right?
And it sucks, it sucks.
I think guys can be a quicker turn off to other guys
even more so than the male-female dynamic of like,
hey, you meet somebody you kinda like and then you send them the check-in text the next day of like, hey, it was great to meet guys, even more so than the male female dynamic of like, Hey, you meet somebody you kind of like, and then you send them the check-in text the
next day of like, Hey, it was great to meet you, whatever.
Oh, what is this guy?
A fucking loser.
He's texting me the next day.
Like I was attracted to him, thought he was funny, intelligent, all these
different things and he's being nice the next day.
Loser.
Idiot.
Yeah.
What a loser.
This desperate loser must be.
I think it's 10 times worse with other dudes.
If the guy's like, cool, really,
hey man, you want to do something?
Like, what are you?
Fucking tool.
Like, are you asking me to do something?
So-
Guys don't make plans, come on, dude.
Yeah, right.
Yeah, dude, if you weren't with me by 30, you are out, you're outside the window.
The friendship window has been closed for almost two decades.
So look, uh, he's probably used to it and remind yourself of
that when you have to crank up the tone a little.
