It's 645.

I'm having a little trouble hearing Pedro.
Let me know if you guys are having trouble too.
Maybe it's the volume in my headphones.
So I turned him up a little bit. Welcome rambler hi welcome yes welcome to the sebon podcast week and review of the review the review of the week and review show and before we
start i want to tell you something incredible ped Pedro, that you're going to have trouble getting your heads wrapped around.
Your heads wrapped around.
Your heads?
In my pants and outside of my pants, Cole.
I'm not sure I understand this post.
I don't understand this post, but maybe you can explain it to me.
Someone told me that there's a – oh, welcome, there's a, oh, welcome John Young.
Every time you come in, I hear a dog barking.
There is a, there's a famous CrossFitter who is pregnant.
Correct.
True or false.
How, how the fuck are we supposed to know that?
Cause there's a date and there's an extra person in the family represented by a teddy bear.
No shit. Yeah. This is how people do it now, man. because there's a date and there's an extra person in the family represented by a teddy bear no shit
this is how people do it now man
wow
I prefer the days when it's like
I bang this chick without a condom
or any fucking prophylactics
or any kind of
contraception
that's how Tyler Watkins will announce it
she caught the baby batter
and it now my spermin ran up to her egg and they've been hugging.
I done basted her.
Yeah, I basted her.
No shit.
That's how they do it.
That's ridiculous.
But anyway, usually it's like the it's a picture of the scam or whatever.
But yeah, that's what I take from that anyway.
Is that how you interpret it?
Unless she's buying a new teddy bear on the 2nd of May
and this is a
I will say this
compared to Dave Castro's clues
this is brilliant
that is true
she makes Dave Castro look like a
fucking ding dong
his clues are just pathetic
we're way out of
John's
scope of being able to, he can't even add
anything to this. John, you know they had sex?
She's supposed to be rogue. John, do you have sex, John?
I do. Alright.
You gonna have a baby? You gonna make a baby?
You know that that could lead to babies? Yeah,
I mean, that'd be great. Alright.
Alright, just checking.
You don't think I could be a daddy, Seva?
Dude, you'd be an amazing daddy.
I could see you having a fucking litter.
Time out.
So do you think she's taking Shelby's spot?
You're a great man and a great husband.
All you need is a baby.
That's what I'm saying.
Go ahead, Tyler.
Go ahead.
Do you think Shelby's taking her spot?
Because we have 21 women on the roster right now.
So is Annie pulling out?
Yeah. We know
Frederick didn't.
I'm sure
Brian Friend will break that news anytime.
Yeah, I assumed it was Lauren,
but that makes sense too.
I thought it was Lauren too.
I mean, she can...
Lauren who? Fisher?
Yeah.
Dear Katie,
please put out...
How far along is she?
Have we done the math on it yet?
Oh, we haven't, but...
She's about 10 weeks.
She got good.
I mean, she could do it.
She could do Rogue.
No one's going to comment
on how fast that fucking math was, really.
That was really good. We're just going to could be wrong i didn't even hear to matt which
matt did you do she's about 10 weeks in i'd say or 12 weeks 10 or 12 weeks you generally don't
tell people until you're like 12 weeks so you'd have to assume 12 natty can't get pregnant if
you're on all juiced up natty by the way ladies and gentlemen I do want to show you one thing. For some reason, people find it necessary to put shoes on kids.
Worst fucking thing.
One of the worst things you can do for your kids besides fucking inject them with drugs made by your buddies at Pfizer.
But those also, rain boots, stupid.
Also, rain boots, stupid.
Stop ankle flexion.
And just ridiculous.
Wrong.
Do not do that.
That is dumb.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
But I love Andy and I love Frederick.
It's not a comment on their parenting.
I'm just telling you.
Hey, Dick, go fuck yourself.
Okay.
We don't have a lot of time today because John Young is not going to be around for long
He turns into a pumpkin
This is the
Anyway congratulations to Annie
Annie Thor's daughter and Frederick Gideas
Are having a baby it's a miracle
It's awesome
Do you think this is the end of her career
Oh I don't
I don't either.
As an elite
individual or just period?
Elite. She qualifies
again. Yeah, I mean, I think she
can qualify again, yeah.
I don't think she'll be competitive,
but I think she can make it.
No chance.
You want to put money on it?
October 23rd
what do you say Pedro compete again
I'd say she'll come back on a team
I think just for her lifestyle
you know just for like quality of life and stuff
I'd say team over individual but I wouldn't be surprised
if she went again I don't think they were
expecting this
this is in the
order right here of how I like these people on the show, by the way.
John, Tyler, Pedro.
In case you're wondering.
It's reverse order.
Pedro's translating that to Irish.
Hasn't hit him yet.
No, I'm like, you said it isn't, but I'm like, well, you fucking reordered it.
No, it is.
No, it is.
No, it is not.
It is not.
It is.
I'm closest to Savannah.
That's all that matters.
Right, right. I have to keep nice.
That's like a, you know, when the magicians
have those tricks, and if you say, like,
three, they count one, two, three, but if you say
six, they spell it out, S-I-X, so they
always go to the same card, three over from the left.
You know? That was like that. Pedro pulled
one of those. I'm closest to Savannah.
That's what matters. There's so many things that just opened up in my brain, because you one of those I'm closest to seven. That's what there's so many things
They just opened up in my brain
Yeah, yeah my kids in the magic I'm learning the shit, okay, I'm putting the playback speed to 1.25
You don't have to comment on everything. You can talk twice as fast as you normally do
please an
Action we can review october 23rd 2023 oh oh one more thing i'm
going to do for this show for all of you guys who are listening i am going to um go to edit
mic settings for pedro okay so pedros are down i'm going to um go to uh i'm going to go to uh i'm gonna go to my oh shoot i don't know how to oh i'm gonna go to my mic settings
and i turn my mic down i'm gonna go to i can't go to oh will you unmute yourself for a second
john i'm going to your mic settings i'm going to turn you way down and the reason why i'm doing
this guys is so that you can turn your TVs up so you can hear Dave better.
This is something that we've learned from the previous shows
because the YouTube is so low.
Okay.
Hopefully that helps all you guys.
And we're off to the races.
Comments from last week.
At Bestie007.
Hi, Dave.
Why has the media coverage from CrossFit on Tyson Bajent
making his first NFL start been so poor and slow?
They should be celebrating his achievement and using it as a promotion.
We definitely are celebrating it.
We're very proud of him.
To the fact that it's slow, I think it's been timely.
You know, he started this week,
and we put out some content around his start this week.
That makes total sense.
I think we should and will probably continue to highlight his story and tell his story
to the world because it's pretty cool.
I first met Travis Bajent, his father, right here.
Okay, before we...
Oh, shit.
Sorry, hold on.
Hello?
Hello, good morning.
This is Teresa with FedExFace.
Hi, Teresa.
Hi. Hi. hello good morning this is teresa with fedex right hi teresa hi hi so the item that was shipped to you it's about the size of a regular car battery oh sweet okay and it comes on a
pallet one car battery comes on a pallet huh that's crazy yeah because they being that it's a battery, they need to strap it to the pallet
to keep it from falling on anything.
So,
do you want to take it tomorrow or Wednesday?
I'll take it whenever.
I'll take it tomorrow.
Sounds good.
I love,
tomorrow's a great day to take it.
All right.
I'll put you down for tomorrow.
Did you need a half hour call before delivery
or to send him over?
That would be fantastic.
All right.
So,
we'll do that. And he is in your area, usually between 1030 and 230. That would be fantastic
Okay, it's Keith cool. Okay, it's Keith ID might show you a code. That's an 870.
Yeah, sure.
Okay.
Okay.
All right.
A lot of people ignore it.
So just so you know that.
Teresa, you're awesome.
Thanks for telling me the size of the package because that was tripping me out that it was coming on a pallet.
No worries.
Thank you.
You're all set.
All right, girl.
Have a good day.
You too.
Bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Do they give out podcast awards?
you too bye bye do they give out podcast awards
I do not think that Dave
I do not think CrossFit did it in a timely
matter I think that
I know his dad called
Dave and other people
and told them my son's going to the
senior bowl you guys should send out
a fucking cameraman and the senior bowl is the should send out a fucking cameraman and the senior
bowl is the fucking pro bowl for college football and he had already won the harlan trophy and he
probably has the fastest fran time in fucking the nfl and they should have sent someone out a
fucking year ago this should be the fifth piece on them am i mad at crossfit not at all did they
drop the ball fuck they dropped it fumbled it and fell on it, and it went right up into their asshole.
I get all those references after yesterday.
Thank you.
I was thinking about that last night.
Like, you've been, like, waving the flag for forever.
Like, hey, Tyson's a big deal.
You guys should be paying attention to this.
And then all of a sudden it's like everybody moved now.
It's like, well, we could have done so much work had you guys just listened for five seconds.
Why didn't they do
it when he's in high school pedro thoughts on the subject or is crossfit late to the game
dave says yeah yeah i think they are but you know like i didn't even know him i i just feel like if
you've been talking about him and if you've had him on your show then a lot of people will have
known about him as well and then to not move sooner is like just if nothing else think of
how much he'd feel obliged to oblige in the future had they made a massive fuss 12 months ago for
like forever do you know what i mean like he's always going to feel obliged to you like he has
a relationship with you now because you were early doors like you're a ground level investor in him
like kind but right ground level ground level uh Young, any thoughts on the topic?
Are they late to the game?
I think as soon as he got on
the 53-man roster,
there should have been something about him.
Not sooner? Not when he was in college?
He was in a big college.
A D2 college athlete is nothing.
Harlan Trophy.
He was nothing
until he made the roster.
It's D2 who cares no i'm saying i'm saying i'm saying for to expect a story from
that like there are crossfitters you guys don't know about that did crossfit that played football
but they weren't anything like he was nothing until he made the 53 man roster and now and now
he's a really big deal.
Let me push back a second, John.
I think they should have done the piece on him when he was in junior high
so that they could show junior high kids should be doing CrossFit
to be the best at football.
Was he one of those kids where it was obvious back then?
I'm sure he was.
If you were playing D2, it's not obvious for anything at all.
Fair enough.
To me, it was probably obvious to a degree.
You could have started it and not made it.
D2 football.
Like, it's not even small-tier D1.
You know what I mean?
It's not even like a SEMO.
And he went to a shitty D2 school to help John out even more.
It's not even a good D2 school.
It's a big deal now, and they should be putting stories out left and right.
And I think once he made the 53-man roster,
he already exceeded expectations hugely by making the roster.
And it's amazing what he's done, and I hope he continues.
He's playing week two.
I don't know if y'all saw that, but he's playing next week too um which is he got the thumbs up for week two
and he'll be on the show tomorrow morning let me say two things real quick he uh um we're talking
about the hundred foot view at the 5 000 foot view congratulations to crossfit and to um for
actually even showing the piece so that's awesome and then go to the hundred thousand foot view and
it's awesome that dave even read the question so I want to give kudos to that this is not shitting
on CrossFit this is just the 100 foot view do you guys agree yeah okay here we go yeah I think we
will we should and will probably continue to highlight his story and tell his story to the
world because it's pretty cool I met I first met Travis Pagent his father right here behind about
10 yards that way in 2009 at that event, at those CrossFit Games.
Actually, we met him because of Sebon.
So we had Sebon, who did a documentary called Pulling John on arm wrestlers, invited Tyson out, talked to us about inviting Tyson out to kind of do his thing, to be a personality, to be an arm wrestler.
And he, on the first go of meeting him, we had a, we had the deadlift
ladder set up and the first interaction I had with him. And I said, let's, let's go through it.
He's obviously almost twice my size. So we both started going through the deadlift ladder together
and he obviously went much higher than I did, but been friends with Travis since we then ended up
using them. I don't think we use them that year, but many years later, or probably even next year,
definitely when we were in Carson, we started using him as a floor announcer and a big energy big guy world champion arm wrestler after being exposed to us
and working with a great guy best floor commentator ever if you ask me i think a lot of people agree
and the movie pulling john if you haven't seen it's a documentary i made many years ago it's
amazing uh thoughts pedro anything uh was it last time he was on your show, he mentioned something,
I can't remember who the fuck he was talking about,
but he said,
oh, it's really important to me to give credit where it's due.
And I just love that he says
that it was because of you that he met him and stuff.
I always love that about Dave.
Yeah, for sure.
Mr. Watkins, any thoughts?
Yeah.
Young.
Young.
I agree with Peter.
He pretty much said it all.
He ended up opening up his own affiliate and his young son at that time he started doing crossfit and um was prepping him
for a football career and so tyson has been doing crossfit for he's like an original crossfit kids
style um athlete and i've been doing yeah original uh better than brian friend no brian friend was
never a floor commentator uh so that's the distinction travis ran the stadium so he he controlled the crowd
at the stadium at the event he emceed the event and he was fucking amazing
for a number of years and super cool to see you know followed his success through
through college because travis was constantly sending us updates on how he was doing. And Sevan's a huge fan of his.
So Sevan was also following him closely and then, you know,
followed the story through the draft and what happened there.
And then Chicago picking him up and then going to preseason and the success he
had there and then actually making the team.
And then yesterday getting his first start because the first string quarterback
got injured and excelling and having a high percentage completion rate and also throwing a
touchdown.
It's where it's touchdown and winning the game in his first start.
So pretty cool.
The Tyson pageant story is a great story.
I hope we can continue to highlight it.
Anybody,
anybody.
He's a,
he's on Sunday night football too.
So like the whole nation's going to watch him.
Who do they play?
They play the Chargers?
Yeah.
It's not just, so, like, you know, he was just a regular 12 o'clock game.
Like, if you're, you can't, you can only watch it in certain areas.
He's on, the Bears are Sunday night football, meaning there's one football game.
The whole entire America is going to, if they're watching... Like it's on ABC or whatever.
People who need an excuse to drink at night
will be watching that Sunday.
Yeah.
What time is it at?
Like 7 p.m. or something.
Yeah.
Fuck's sake.
Not your country, Pedro.
Not your country.
Yeah.
We don't need an excuse to drink.
Julie Jones.
Hi, Dave.
If you're awake. I heard that you were talking about the level one course on Sevan's podcast,
and I recently watched Don talking about it on the Jed Burrow podcast.
Wow, another Sevan plug.
I love the way he bounced his head.
Yeah, I was recently watching the Sevan podcast, and he's plugging the level one.
Fuck yeah.
If you haven't taken your level one, you're ding dong.
I was taking level one twice.
I definitely felt like I got a lot of information about the methodology.
My concern is that the level one
is the only requirement for opening up an affiliate
or becoming a coach.
While I think it is absolutely the best place to start,
I also feel like there's content
that should be a prerequisite for opening an affiliate,
including understanding the mission,
vision of the organization,
and best practices for owners and coaches.
I realize that it creates a larger barrier to entry,
but I wonder if it'll help potential affiliate
understand what is involved
and maybe even expected in terms of the brand from HQ.
I'd like to open an affiliate one day, but I'd love something like a semester long prep course to prepare for opening an affiliate. I think. So this person wants to raise the barrier
of entry to open an affiliate. Well, so to the fact that the level one had such a low barrier
to entry and you know, all you need to do is take that to open an affiliate. I think it's led to a
lot of
us being here. What I mean by that is there are a high number of gyms, high number of trainers,
high number of processors around the world who started with that model and became who they are
now because of that. So it's led to a lot of our spread and success. Does it mean we're not
thinking about how to make it better, how to make coaches better, how to make affiliates better?
We are thinking about those things and we do want to accomplish those goals. So we're looking at all options to
improve on what we currently do. Love something like semester-long prep course to prepare for
opening an affiliate. There's currently a lot of support the affiliate team provides and they're
going to provide more in your journey for opening up an affiliate. I don't think we're going down
the road of opening up or doing a semester-long prep course,
but you should definitely,
if you're interested in opening up an affiliate down the road,
reach out to the affiliate team
and talk to them about
some of the things they have in place
to prep you to open up an affiliate
and also expect there will be more stuff
to enable you and to set you up for success
in the journey to open up an affiliate
that they're working on.
I couldn't disagree with that more.
I think it's complete fucking idiocy.
Elaborate. What are you saying?
You go to school to become a cop
You still suck as a cop
Until you get out there and become a cop
You go to school to become a doctor
You're a fucking idiot
You still don't know shit about nutrition
You gotta go out there and be a doctor
You have to practice
This profession does not need more barriers of entry
Let the free markets determine who's good and who's bad. And the truth is, is that 99% of the
complaints I hear about CrossFit have nothing to do with the coaching and they have to do with just
the personalities. Just the fact that my gym owner's a dick. They don't say hi to me. They're
not welcoming. They're not clean. They're not this. I've never heard anyone be like, well,
I just had a shitty coach. He taught me the fucking clean wrong. I don't hear that.
This is why I don't think so. I don't think that's the problem.
And I and I and I want more gyms, more gyms, more gyms.
This this whole idea sent me down the road of libertarianism and like the whole all the teachings of Milton Friedman.
And so it's like to put it in a different context, accountants all get their CPA license.
Do you know how many CPAs I know
that don't know how to be an accountant?
All of this is a check mark.
Oh, like it's a joke.
It's can't, you know, can't do accounting is a CPA.
And it's like.

idea. I think all the things that that guy said is a good idea. A prep course, things that will help.
It always starts that way.
And then the goalposts move and it moves to keep people out.
And right now, if you're motivated, you can start your own gym.
That's all you need to do is be motivated as opposed to have four years worth of this,
have a level three before you open the gym, all these things.
And it's like, that's how you move people out of the space who don't need to be in the space is you'd be better than them and that's all that's required brayson
del monte uh correction seven i called you one time and told you about a retarded coach and
brought up the exact point requiring an l1 coach meaning they gave you shitty training all right i
stand corrected one time i heard it john do you have any thoughts on the subject? I agree 100% with you on this topic. Wow. I usually don't agree 100%
with you, but I don't think there needs to be the self-select out model. One, I think it's been
proven to work. And I just agree 100% with that. People will know who the best coaches is. The best gyms will thrive and then other gyms
will shut down and their
coaching or environment or
attitudes or whatever, it's just not good
enough. It will shut down because
of it.
Everything that you
said, I agree. I don't think there needs to be more barriers
to entry. Pedro, do you have affiliates
in Ireland? Fuck you.
I know you said that out loud, right? We heard you say fuck you you know oh my mic on sorry shit um i will say i think the model
i don't think there should be any extra barriers of entry um i will say though that for example
i think taylor said that there's 42 or 43 affiliates in charlotte alone there's 37 in ireland so like
it is if if you're living in a town and there's no crossfit affiliate or there's a shit crossfit
affiliate you're just stuck do you know what i mean there's not it's not like you can just drive
two miles the other direction go to another one so i will say that the model works really well
and like densely populated affiliate areas um but i still despite that
here think that there shouldn't be any extra levels or barriers of entry fuck you philip
i've heard about that being an issue like in the town that i used to live in somebody wanted to
open a gym and they they vetoed it because they were like there's too many gyms in the
in the area already but like as someone who went to one of the gyms,
the other gyms in the area weren't very quality.
And so it's like,
I understand what you guys are doing.
That's probably why they vetoed it.
Oh,
I see what you're saying.
Cause if they're going to open another one,
it's just going to kill all three.
Yeah.
Bryson Del Monte,
Phillip,
I can understand the argument for opening gym,
but I think to coach an affiliate,
you should have to have an L one. At least it makes sense. If you're going to be coach people but I think to coach at an affiliate, you should have to have an L1 at least.
It makes sense if you're going to be coaching people.
I agree.
I agree.
You should at least have to have an L1.
I agree.
At Alaska Last Frontier Homestead.
Dave, I bet you shoot the club up guy is really Josh Bridges,
Rich Froning, or another top athlete just giving you shit.
Haha, thanks for the updates.
And if you do have to give away your olive oil, I'll send you my address.
It could be.
It probably is an ex-athlete who's just uh poking the bear don't know at samuel spurlin's 1616
any idea when the schedule for 2024 will be released dates for open qualifier can we expect
time should we offer some sort of reward for someone who out shoot the club up can you do that
what's what are the rules the like etiquette rules on the internet is that like doxing or
what is that oh that's doxing.
Oh, you can't do that? Okay.
Well, if you just say their name.
But I can't be like, hey, I'll let someone fucking,
I'll send someone a picture with my shirt off if you tell me who Shoot the Club Up is and I get his name.
Am I allowed to say that and then say his name?
I think if you know, there's no harm in it.
Oh, but I can't post it. I shouldn't post it.
You can offer him the picture to post his own name.
If you...
Okay.
Similar to last year.
Should be released soon.
Not this month, but sometime next month.
And you can expect there to be some changes,
but also some similarities.
At Drew Arnold... What did you hear, Pedro? you heard that the game schedule is coming out in november yeah and then i heard the last line was he laughed at himself i'm like you can expect some
changes but also some similarities which just gives absolutely nothing away like all right
november here it is yeah six seven four one dave in an effort to give fans of the sport something
to look forward to in the offseason,
it'd be cool to have some main site workouts turned into online competition.
Maybe a cash prize or something that has some bearing on the games.
Seating advantage, pay travel, whatever it makes it interesting.
Also, I did a drop-in at the ranch in May of 2022.
You are an awesome host. Thanks.
Well, thank you for the praise on the drop-in.
I think that's a great idea.
I definitely will have our team look into what you suggested.
What do you think?
Uh,
some sort of,
doesn't rogue do that already?
Some sort of giveaways,
workout giveaways.
Yeah.
It's popular.
It won't be as popular as rogues.
No rogues is popular.
So why not?
You know what I mean?
Add to it.
Yeah.
Pretty cool.
At Felicia Martinez,
nine,
three,
six,
one.
Is there somewhere we can send law enforcement challenge coins for you to add to your collection?
So that Felicia Martinez, black, white or other.
Other.
Yeah, other.
Other.
Okay.
So she wants to know about sending cop coins or something.
Was Dave like this when you worked with him where like someone would say hey what if we do this and he
said that's a great idea like was he no no no he's still not like that that's all for that's just no
that's all pr he's still not like that he listens though he's very open to listening to ideas but
he wouldn't he wouldn't give you a response of like yes or no he's just very stoked he said if
you know dave he says more
in one of these shows than he does in like like if i went and hung out at his house for the
afternoon okay this is chatty kathy dave we'll have our team look into what you suggested pretty
cool at felicia martinez 9361 is there somewhere we can send law enforcement challenge coins for
you to add to your collection so that table back there has all my coins underneath the glass. It's a pretty cool
setup. Yeah, definitely. Send them to the ranch.
This is the ranch. If I get a coin here, I'll add it to the collection
and I greatly appreciate the offer.
Aaron McNew.
That table behind Dave
is a custom rogue
table. It's pretty wild.
So I guess he has a piece of glass on it
and underneath the glass he has a bunch of coins.
I want to know what he's burning wood on in the back. That's like just some foofy... So I guess he has a piece of glass on it, and underneath the glass he has a bunch of coins.
I want to know what he's burning wood on in the back.
That's like just some foofy chiminea.
Foofy chiminea.
All right, good.
That's what I want to do.
936.
Hi, Dave.
I apologize if this question has been asked,
but have you ever considered a Masters team division in the future with the branch out?
Similar to the Masters, age groups now,
or perhaps a different combination,
considering Masters are the highest contributor to the open yeah we're absolutely
considering that and as legends has the um age group crossfit games this next season we're
looking at masters fitness collective to possibly do something like a team competition and we've
been talking to them for a while about that they really want to do that we're trying to make it
work we'll see if we can pull it off next year, if not next year, maybe down the road, but yes. I'm indifferent.
Anyone have any comments on teams for a master's athletes? I feel like that would be not very much
publicity. I just, if people are already struggling to care about master's individuals,
master's team, I mean, it would just be for the people that want to do
masters team and nobody else so you bring 500 more people to a competition with 100 teams i think i
think they have the freedom to do it now because they're outsourcing i think that's why it's a
smart move because it's like like they have the bandwidth now yeah i mean they can and if enough
people want to do it sure i just it's just not
not very many people are going to care about that at all if they said it last year it would be dumb
but now it's like yeah that's a good move like i agree now that they're just saying i agree i agree
i agree with that i agree that 100 yeah and they they might um sorry um good they might i wouldn't be surprised if they went that route at all if since the
masters are their own thing i didn't i didn't think i didn't think about that but yeah since
how it is now it leaves them the leeway to do that do you think something we are
go ahead do you think do you what do you think? I agree with you. I agree with you.
I agree with you.
While we're at the interruption.
At BrandonPastorik9728.
Brandon, great to hear from you.
It's been a long time.
Hope you are doing well.
Dave, I'll take over the main site programming.
LOL.
I think Brandon Pastorik used to be a games athlete
like way back in the day, like 07, 08, 09.
Name ring a bell brandon pastorick
yeah he competed back then so he's asking to uh take over the historic yeah and it looks like he
just asked dave can i do the main site programming i'm going to move on to some other topics now that
we're out of comments um kind of upcoming and some stuff that we did this week. So the olive oil, quick update on that. I printed or I've had produced about 70 bottles, 375 milliliter
with the co-branded Rogue Invitational and Rogue logo. Those will be for sale at Rogue this week.
I will be there Thursday afternoon, Thursday evening. so maybe i'll see you there i also have finished
the bottles that will go online but i'm working on those and how i will uh ultimately sell them
but not ready for that yet but uh i've already gotten a bottle of olive oil my wife used it in
a week it's fucking great anyways and we'll have some of the black bottles. 70 bottles. That's going to sell out in like four minutes.
I know. It's like, what the fuck?
Bottles will sell online.
I'm sorry, the tins. We'll have some of the black tins for
sale at Rogue 2.
I'll be in Austin for the week. We have some meetings
there, and then Thursday evening, I'll
go to the Invitational. This weekend, I had a
22 match here, a team match at the Ranch.
It was really cool. Really cool format.
For those people who don't know, a 22 match means it was guns. It's a caliber of the bullet, and he had a team match at the ranch. It was really cool, really cool format. For those people who don't know, a 22 match means it was
guns. It's a caliber of the bullet
and he had a shooting competition at the ranch this weekend.
He has those
very often. He hosts shooting competitions all the time.
It's part of the
CDC lifestyle. Communicate, you had to find
targets as a team, range
them and then engage them. I'll definitely do a couple more of
those next year. I was really proud of that
match and those who came out. It was a fun time. I just finished reading The Art and
Science of Low-Carb Performance by Dr. Stephen Finney and Jeff Volek. It's actually the second
time I've read it. Really good. Even the second time is better than the first. Really good
overview on how and why being keto adapted works for endurance and, frankly for any um workout or lifestyle or in fitness endeavor i think there's
a lot of um there's a lot of hesitation towards uh doing fitness stuff any type of intensity on a
low carb diet or keto adapted this book will help you understand that i'll be right out yep then i'll
also who do you think that is you think that's someone who's signed up for a workout it's someone delivering a carabasciata palette yeah you know you can do that you can sign up
online to work out at the ranch and have dave train you how much i don't know but i've been
there like three different times when someone shows up that's cool so it's usually foreigners
last week i went i've been working on my land nav and i did some hiking with doug and so in the morning i track all her mileage in the morning
she covers about or that day in the morning she covered about five miles that's a lot for her
in a session i'll give her some lunch at home from that after that then that evening we went
out again and i did some night land nav and on that session she covered another five miles miles
so that's a big day for her, 10 miles.
Low intensity, just hiking along, climbing hills. Towards the end of it, though, she was definitely dragging and panting really heavily. And it was a lot of work for her. So I gave her some water.
It's dry out here. There was no water out there. Normally, we do come across water, but there was
none at the time. So I gave her some water. And I posted a video of that. People reacted
negative and positive about it,
basically saying I shouldn't push her so hard
or maybe I should leave her at home.
But this is something she does on a daily basis.
She lives this lifestyle.
She's running these hills on a regular basis.
She's out there.
Actually, I have her with me
in case I run across a mountain lion.
She'll hopefully see it or scare it away
or tangle with it before it gets to me.
In this notion of her tangling with it,
the mountain lion would take her. I have no doubt about that i also hike with a gun so if i if i
had to protect myself i'd protect myself um but anyway so oh will um if you were listening to
this morning show um there's no such there's no such they're not they're not immigrants from
mexico you son of a bitch they're usually um like norwegian people who have like a hat on and 35,000 coats of suntan lotion.
And 35,000.
Dog is.
Yes, yes.
Meant for that type of effort and for being out there with me.
And she will continue to be out there with me on those.
Now, I don't know if that's true.
He said his dog's made for that kind of effort.
I don't know.
He's got his dog's huge.
I think it's more of a dog that should stay inside of a fenced area and just
eat shit that comes inside of it.
Although I,
so instead of forcing what we're not forcing,
but instead of pouring water down and throw it in a bottle,
which he took,
I'm carrying a little water bottle that I placed on the ground and fill it up
for her.
So I'm better prepared.
Finally,
I also went and watched with my family,
the Ms,
the musical in San Jose.
It's the second time I've seen it.
Great show.
You can come to your city or town.
Then I went and saw Les Mis
for the second time.
Les Mis for the second time.
That's funny.
You know what Les Mis is, Tyler?
It's some play.
I don't know what it's about,
but I know it's a play.
Yeah.
Hugh Jackman.
Hugh Jackman.
You guys have a chance to see it.
Russell Crowe.
I highly recommend it. Hugh Jack Russell Crowe I love the book
and love the show and the movie was cool too
but the book is the best the show is second
and the movie is okay
hope you guys enjoy your week
and thanks for tuning in
why does it say Les Mills
oh Les Mills
I thought that was a miss be I thought that was a
misspelling and he was gonna talk about
less Mills the workout program Jesus
crime thoughts to comments bye let's we
might as well just for shits and giggles
please don't read my public comments
they're only for you.
The Tyson story is so cool.
Glad you're talking about it, Dave.
Don't let Sevan distract you.
He has a gift of seeing greatness.
He loves you, so that's a big deal.
Appreciate people for their talents and relentless efforts. Just because people aren't SEALs doesn't mean they aren't great.
I don't know what that means, but I think that's a compliment.
Is that a compliment for me?
Do I give that a thumbs up?
Yeah, because even if it's not,
it's passive-aggressive to give the thumbs up, so either way it's a win. Damn.
Awesome.
Gentlemen, overall thoughts.
Mr. Young, I know you're in a hurry. Overall thoughts.
But I also know you weren't paying attention about
Dave's week in review.
He started talking about late, and I tuned out.
I'm sorry.
Understood.
Mr. Watkins, any thoughts on the weekend review?
No, good.
I mean, yeah, same old stuff.
I'm glad he did talk about Tyson.
Pedro?
Just the more that I watch, the more I love Dave.
He doesn't shy away from anything i
love that like even if he you know even if he's not gonna answer a comment he'll read it out and
be like no or like just very honest yeah and he just he doesn't he's not afraid of criticism he's
not afraid like i love it like because it could be so easy for him to just cherry pick and be like
oh there's a nice one about something that we have coming up to be announced i'll answer that one and
i'm not fucking reading that prick and just skip across. So it's cool.
On the things he's really pressed on,
he like hovers over a line really well.
He will answer you. You said it yourself.
He didn't answer it in two different directions.
And it's like, does it really matter if he picks the hard ones
if he kind of just sits in the middle?
Right.
I'm just glad he does it
yeah I agree also
it makes you feel hurt
I'm just glad he does it
uh
yeah well
real comms from corporations or from anyone
these days is so rare the bar
sets so fucking low that I mean
he's I think they're all
home runs
I mean the thing that, I think they're all, uh, home runs.
Well, yeah. I mean, the thing that like we hated about Justin Berg is that we never,
we never understood anything that headquarters was doing at all.
Like we never got a real answer about anything.
We'll circle back to that.
Um, and I feel like, I mean, these week weekend reviews, I mean, about anything. We'll circle back to that.
And I feel like,
I mean, these weekend reviews,
I mean, they're pretty darn clutch. Even if it's talking about nothing, sometimes.
You know, it could be 50% nothing, and
if there's, like, one thing that he says that's
relevant, like, it's something that we did not know
before. And
that's nice.
Thanks, guys, for coming on.
Short notice. We only had, like, five or six minutes notice. Thanks to you guys for coming on short notice we only had like
five or six minutes notice thanks to you guys for
pulling together guys we will see
you tomorrow morning Tyson Bajan
will be on the show early in the morning bring your A game
I know I will
bye bye
