Starting point is 00:00:58 ten of your friends right now ask them if they're hurt meant call ten men friends at say are you hurt see how many say find ten that say no call them in a week I guarantee you for them are hurt and that's so that's just you know that's just a bit of how it works how it goes but um but yeah gay man there a lot of times they're scurrying around in that ambulance you know because think about a ammo it's got the tune just got the lights I mean it's got dope in the bag dude that's a frickin you know that's really a just a gay Greyhound really and it's a nice way it's really a way where a lot of a lot of men who love other men will

Starting point is 00:01:50 meet straight men sometimes because they come pick you up oh you're hurt get in here get in the back you know they'll be taking your blood pressure and they'll be like oh they'll try they'll slip their they'll slip their phone number in like oh your blood pressure it's a it's 90 over nine eight five six one one two four seven seven Darren and you're like what what is my blood pressure is is doing a lot and while they're driving they'll sometimes will say you know oh maybe all these women making you sick you're like why I just you know I was I was getting a fr... I fell off the roof I was getting a frisbee I don't this I don't

Starting point is 00:02:40 know and they're like oh yeah maybe these women they throwing frisbees up there to get you hurt you're like damn they'll put an IV in your arm and put and slip their number in your pocket same time oh let me give you 200 cc's of that and seven digits of that yeah I was in a um I've been in a car accident and the ambulance man came first of all his name Virgil right and he picked me up and then he tried the Heimlich maneuver on me probably five times and all I've been in a car accident so finally I'm like dude what is it what are how what are you even going on here he said I just wanted to make sure your airways were clear I

Starting point is 00:10:59 you too good luck bye bye that's my brother and he he was born today a long time ago and not that long ago but uh you know we and he and he and he and he knows our relationships become better over the years and you know it's yeah it's just great I'm just you know I'm grateful I really am man and that's one thing you know I'm man I'm just happy to feel some gratitude for a second you know I've been I've just had a struggle feeling that kind of stuff recently and and just to just be on terms enough with my brother to call him on his birthday and let him know that I care about him you know and I just hope he knows you

Starting point is 00:11:52 know how much I love him you know what and how much I how much of an inspiration he is to me I think it's it's funny sometimes I don't know if people know can really tell what they mean to others you know it's like sometimes people will just you know people won't be able to tell like you can never really fully kind of express to somebody how they affect you sometimes maybe you can maybe others haven't tried that much you know maybe I haven't or maybe I have you know I don't know just kind of spitball in here but I'm just happy that my brother was born even though we weren't close for a long time I'm happy that you know I

Starting point is 00:12:40 got a surprise as I've gotten older and and and that's been the gift of of his you know pretty unconditional love really and he loves his kids and just he loves to just care he I don't know he's just he is he's a deep dude man that dude is bruh that dude he should have a diving board right next to him I wouldn't be surprised if my brother rolled around and had a diving board next to him because that dude is a deep he's a deep dude and he loves it he loves to know what makes people think and feel and and he's just really really fascinated by that kind of stuff and and it brushes off into me and it's there when I need it and he's such

Starting point is 00:13:30 a great reference and you know a lot of times he's on he he's almost like a father to me too in some ways you know it's interesting how we get different pieces of what we need from different places or I do you know I get different you know and sometimes I think I don't you know one of the reasons maybe why I'm not like in like successful relationships or some of that kind of thing is because I I want to get the attention that I need I want to get it from I want to get it how I want it I want to get it it's almost like maybe I like okay I'll get I'll get this from here and this from this person and this

Starting point is 00:14:22 from this person not in a selfish way but just this is where I will let these things hit me you know I'll let this person care about me and that will suffice for this feeling that I need and I'll let just just because it's more in control you know it's almost like I get you know I get it's almost like I want to I want to control where I let affection into my life so that and it's such a tricky path that I let it in through that it's but at least that way I know that I'm the most protected you know I'm the most safe for myself anyway I didn't mean to get off on a on that you know on the damn on the damn you know

Starting point is 00:22:12 Khabib or Khabib or however is he's like kind of like a to me it's not fight I think I it would be neat if they had to be on their feet for half the round and they could then the rest there's only a certain amount of time they could be on the ground now I'm not in and I told Brendan Shaw that and he goes well that's not the sport and and that you may be right but for me as a viewer I'd like to see a little bit because I want to see both of them be able to do some of the stuff that I really you know that I like to watch them do I like to buy I like to see the action at different levels so you know that should kind of

Starting point is 00:22:51 bum me out because Khabib is fucking boring the shit is boring dude it's like watching somebody lose their house to some lava takes you know 19 minutes or whatever and it's fucking boring so yeah go watch lava dude get on the internet they got a bunch of lava flows dude I used to watch flows man you could you could be on a three-hour YouTube of a flow brah and it finally fucking kills a sapling outside of Kauai you're like oh shit man there was three hours in my life thankfully I had a little bit of cocaine you feel me boy that'll make the lava speed up a little bit but that it was like yeah

Starting point is 00:23:36 it was like watching some I mean it just I don't know and no disrespect the guys great at what he does just to me it's fucking boring to me it's boring you know I'm a dude you know I watch what I watch and I like to consume things how I like and to me this shit was boring and I just you know after I was just bum man I mean I was really bummed out and there's people you know at the bar yelling shit and and and I watched it with Nick and Gianni you know the premature and the twink man that you know our crew we watched it together as a team and and we were I mean the first the venue looked like a like a damn no

Starting point is 00:24:23 air conditioning you're like where are these guys in a tent out back and I'm not saying that they just when I was watching the on the on the fight pass they got this accoutrement you can buy and you get that you know special deal on the internet and you can watch it and it looked like they were in a damn FEMA tent or something out back so but hey you supposed to you know they can fight wherever it just the the live stream or whatever they had was going was it was the a lot of it was very boring the atmosphere seemed kind of mild and what else so but yeah I mean I was definitely bummed I was bummed for I was bummed for

Starting point is 00:25:10 him you know I wanted him to be able to win I know how much he really wanted to win and it was very evident when you watch his you know his interviews afterwards and stuff and and let's get a little bit we got this call I'll share a little bit more on my thoughts we got this call that came in a perspective from the arena here we go hey Theo what's going on this is Ali in Dubai hey Ali thank you for calling man and and and thank you guys for hosting that event it seemed like and even Dustin said it was just an amazing event and if you watch on on Dustin's story on his Instagram story they have the dudes eating gold

Starting point is 00:25:50 meat and they're doing all kind of crazy stuff over there so really seeing his experience over there is is pretty cool just to see a guy from just a small place in Louisiana to get to go in that adventure that's a small victory right there let's hear more Ali I just thought I'd call in and give you some perspective on how things went inside the arena last night since you weren't able to make it so yeah it was hot in there that's the first thing and there were about a hundred thousand Russians in the arena wow and dude if I see two Russians at a gas station I'm driving off usually because those guys do they'll

Starting point is 00:26:31 drink dude they'll sit there the boy they'll have they'll be mixing use they use diesel as a mixer so you'll see a guy with a orange use and you know in 96 petrol you know they're diesel and up you'll see a guy at the Exxon fucking make make it a picture of mixed drinks those are some there's some tough guys let's hear more yeah I felt like they kept taking one guy in the back and then pulling air you know stuffing fat in them or pulling air on them or putting muscle in them or just like they were back there Frankenstein and you know they got a

Starting point is 00:27:19 table they got 19 things they got a beard sideburns no beard you know more fat more muscle here's some sternum boom boom boom send them back out same guy more and the crowd was getting amped up there was about three more fights just in our section so it was a crazy environment and obviously didn't get the result he wanted but I just started you know give you a perspective from in there he definitely you know he didn't win the fight but he definitely won a lot of people over and he got a lot of respect from the people in the crowd and I think people all over the world now know who he is and what he stands for

Starting point is 00:27:53 and that's something that he can take with him for the rest of his life you know the mighty championship belts come and go but that respect he has and you know kind of putting Louisiana on the map too he can hold his head high for that so anyway all right thank y'all I really appreciate that you know I love that on the ground that just that lie you know thank you bra that's really kind of you to share what that experience was like from there you know I really you know and and and and just the fact that yeah you're right he can hold his head up high that's something that yeah like I was bummed that you know I was

Starting point is 00:28:35 definitely upset that he came in second place I don't see how anybody beats could be but it's kind of like when Michael Jordan played you just but still it does because you didn't beat Michael Jordan doesn't mean you're not Dominique Wilkins you know I mean Dustin is still beat every he's if it's anybody else if it's any other time existence in the universe you know he's he got half the belt you know he got the belt when it wasn't available it could be he was he's he's the pinnacle there's just there's this other pinnacle that's floating off in the distance that's its own it's on its own frequency and that

Starting point is 00:29:18 is a and that's Khabib but I yeah yeah I think something about Dustin is I feel like he didn't he probably didn't even realize and he may man this is I'm probably I don't know if I'm being judgmental here or or hopeful I feel like it over his tenure is run you know especially in the past year that through through fighting and through UFC he has shown who he is as a person and a lot a lot of people even if they have a great vehicle in their life that allows them to achieve dreams or goals aspirations rarely does also who they are which is the bigger victory of them being just a just a you know a good person of them

Starting point is 00:30:20 fighting the good fight I mean that's what his foundation is called but yeah fighting the good fight I think a lot of people realized oh I'm a fan of this guy because of who he is yes he's a fighter but but he's I think he's like a hero to a lot of people and I know it's a kind of a wild word but yeah I mean I guess he's definitely an inspiration and so I think yeah it's like I just hope that he sees I think that he kind of transcended the sport a little bit in the sense that he has gotten that people see him as a as a communicator and as a interpreter for good in the world and that you know what I don't know I just you know some few

Starting point is 00:31:17 athletes get to do that few people in there in their genres of entertainment or of competition get to do that where you also see their heart you see who they are and then that becomes like I could see Dustin being a mayor or a governor even like I think he just has this you know he has this relentless drive that is gonna bring him success in anything he does but I just you know you know I don't know here I am pot like fuck dude I sound like I don't even know you know I just think he's in it he's such an inspiration to a lot of people and yeah he'll have the he had the belt he'll have the belt you know he'll he might get

Starting point is 00:32:02 different belts but I think he's in this bigger competition I think where people see oh that guy you know a lot of fighters they come and go but this guy can stay forever if he wants to as a leader of people and and I just hope he sees that I hope he sees but I hope he I hope he sees what we can all see that he's in this bigger competition of of of inspiring people that and of kind of like of competing on a higher level of a human level that I think that we all want to be in the ring you know we all want to be in that ring I don't know if that makes sense but anyhow man but thanks for that man that's really nice

Starting point is 00:40:14 that's the cool part is that none of this lasts forever and you know something I always tell my wife there's this excerpt from the movie The Martian as cheesy as it is but at the very end Matt Damon tells this class of future astronauts he says when you experience something and and you have one problem you basically just have to start put one problem on you and you start and then you go on to the next problem you go on to the next problem and eventually if you solve all your problems you get to come home and it's as cheesy as it is I try to apply that to everything because like Theo says if you don't start taking

Starting point is 01:23:36 sometimes it's hard it's hard sometimes to have that faith you know to just be like oh man I don't know what is going on right now and it doesn't feel right and it doesn't and it's not what I expected and man I'm going through some of that in my life and and it's hard to just say to the universe or say to your higher power to say look I'm just gonna believe that this is what I'm just gonna accept what is I'm just gonna believe that this is that the next curve is man it's gonna head to a beautiful little you know little thoroughfare you feel me I feel like we're all headed towards a beautiful little thoroughfare so you
