Ray Ragu Capo. How are you, how are you, to be here? Well, it's honored to have you on.
Thank you for working with me on your name. I appreciate it. And you don't understand the pressure that takes off me. But thank you for coming on to Timful.
It means a lot to us.
For those who may not be familiar with you,
can you tell us a little bit about yourself
and where our listeners can find you?
Sure.
Um, Brief bio is I was the singer of a reasonably famous hardcore straight edge band in the 80s
in New York City and sort of about the and we if you don't know for not familiar with straight
edge we didn't drink we didn't smoke we weren't a clean living positive mental attitude all
that and you know the punk's team was sort of nasty dirty not positive riddled with drugs and violence so it was sort of an anomaly but that that was our things. But that that was our things th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the the the the thi thi thi the the the th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the th. the the th. th. the the the the the the the the the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the thee theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the the the th punk team was sort of nasty, dirty, not positive, riddled with drugs and violence.
So it was sort of an anomaly.
But that was our thing.
We were into health, we were into healthy living, and it's created sort of a massive network
of fans and followers and other bands and a whole scene, sort of within a scene.
And I, at that time, I really started to get into Eastern thought and spirituality.
I was a teenager, and as the band grew, I got more disenchanted with just material existence, period.
And I went off and studied Krishna Bakti, which is Krishna consciousness or Eastern Bakdi Yoga, and call it, left,
left and just quit my band and lived in an ashram for about six and a half years traveling
in ashrams in America and in Europe, in India.
And yeah, and while in the ashram, three years in, I started another band.
But with this time with all monks, this time with a more spiritual trajectory.
And it was a pretty interesting mix because we were all celibate monks.
We were all like, we wouldn't eat out at rest.
I mean, to be in a touring band, it was like a serious touring band.
And to have that type of restriction around you was it was sort of
a juggling act but it was it was bigger than the first band so Shelter went on to play big
festivals all over the world and had a hit record in South America and we had fans you know all over
so it was it was sort of a cool ride. Then I became, after the band thing, I became an international yoga teacher
because I always practice yoga throughout the,
throughout my life.
And real quick before we get too deep,
what is the, where would you like people to go,
your website, your Instagram, which one would you like them to go to? Yeah, you know, my Indian name is called Raghunaath, Righ-hoghogu-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ta-ta-e-e-e-ta-ta-e-ta-e-ta-ta-e-ta-ta-a-a-a-a-A-G-H-U-N-A-T-H.
So Ragunath Yogi is my Instagram.
That's what I use mostly.
And my website is Ragunath.
Yoga.
And so, yeah, all those links below in the description.
So, I love it, man.
So the other day, last night I posted that I am three and a half
years into sobriety.
I am, I'm on my, today would be my fourth day of 20 hour fastings.
Nice.
Today is day four of no pornography, or now it's day five. And like the amount of people
like dude that's amazing it's so crazy so when I hear that like very early on
the punk rock of the punk rock is the straight edge from what I got from that
which is I completely deviation right it's the punk rock from the punk rock that's a good way to put it was a
rebellion of the rebellion. Yeah, yeah, so it was crazy.
What made you get into that?
At that age, at that time, why did you go straight edge?
You know, it was an interesting thing, but I just, I just wanted an alternative lifestyle,
you know, early 80s was corporate rock, corporate, corporate, corporate,
corporate America.
And alternative was, you know,
I don't want to go to these giant stadium
and see, you know, Jayles band or something.
I want to find music on my own.
So I would just hop on a train.
I had like sort of a New York City family.
I was raised in Connecticut.
I would just go on the train and weekends
and visit my older brothers and I would go to like a club in New York City.
And the whole Lower East Side of New York at that time was just sort of a haven of
freaks.
And it didn't have to be whether you're hardcore or straight edge or punk rock or goth or even
to be gay or to be a cross dresser.
You were just, we were all united by a type of freakdom where we couldn't fit it.
Like if you're in high school, you were going to get your ass kick.
That was just part of being in high school and be in your own little freak.
And so we found, especially in the, you know,
Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Long Island area, we just found the Lower East Side as a mecca
to go to and just, okay, these are my people, a bunch of other people that can fly the freak
flag and and it was, and it was a type of very interesting mutual respect and tolerance
which the world could learn from right now
how you can be completely extreme I mean I lived in an apartment with like an
complete crazy anarchist with a with with a skinhead and it was some
and we everybody's broke bread together we can have some type of completely
different attitudes ideologies and just learn just to tolerate and accept
each other for what they were.
And I was straight edge and then we had these total party guys with 15 people in a New York
City apartment.
But, you know, that's just sort of how we rolled back then.
So New York City, I've lost track of your question.
No, but it was great.
So, you know, it's very interesting to me what I grew up with, you know, because I was born
in 72 and, you know, the 80s were a big influence on my life.
I love the 80s, love the 90s, really loved the 80s.
Like, any time I could watch any doc on the 80s in early 90s, I love the 80s. Like anytime, anytime I could watch any doc on
the 80s and early 90s, I just I get so excited because it was such an amazing
time in my life. It was a great time, yeah.
We live in a kind of interesting time where we've gone through this kind of global
thing with the government
shutting us down in different ways what regards of where you fall on that and
then what seems to be some sort and you know I don't know your take on this
but I'd love to hear it is the the the way what seemed like all the punk rock kind of of today conformed
to the, you know, it's like the, you know, rage against machine becomes rage for the machine.
Do you have any thoughts on that at all?
You know, it's a crazy world of disinformation, getting spread by everybody and you almost
you can't find
what is true anymore, and you don't even know where you're hearing your information from.
I fall into the category of, there's always been spiritual truths.
There's certain things I will never be able to control,
and there's certain things within my control, and better to work on myself and move forward,
and to understand that, oftentimes, people are just trying to do the right thing,
and they go about it different ways. And then what happens is we turn to hate finding an enemy and hating.
I found hate became like out of control epidemic.
And it was quite sad.
Hate amongst family members, hate amongst communities.
And that's what this, which makes you sort of wonder.
Is there some like hate machine or is there just algorithms
driving us apart?
And it's very confusing.
So for me, I felt like my spiritual, we started our podcast, we have a podcast called Wisdom
of the Sages, which we started by strange coincidence, January 2020.
And it was, it's a, it's a light-hearted but very serious study of one of the ancient texts of India about the, the, thanks, which is the, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, which is very, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, and it's, and it's, and it's, and it's very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very, and it, and it's, and it's,, it's a light-hearted but very serious study of one of the ancient
texts of India about the soul connecting with source.
And it's a famous book within spiritual circles.
It's 18,000 verses.
So we started from the beginning and we're just going to, we're just going to go through
it. I had tons of yoga students, I had tons of fans who were also interested.
And strangely enough, the first five weeks I was in India and I barely knew what a podcast
was.
This was 2020.
And then I got a call from Joe Rogan while I'm in India and he says, hey, where are you right now? I'm like, oh, I'm in India, I'm taking a group of students on pilgrimage.
And he's like, hey, you want to come on my podcast?
I was like, I was like, what, what do you want?
Do you want to debate me or something?
He goes, no, no, I know, he goes, you know, I know yoga is really popular now, but I know you have
a depth about yoga and I'd like to just pick your brain about it. I said, all right, well,
when do you want me to do it? He goes, whenever you get back, just come on, it will fly out. So that
made our numbers shoot up super high. Our community grew really big. And then, and again, the year later I got a rich role in some other sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort the their their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi th. th. th. th. th. I've to to to to to to to to to to to to to to th. th. I I I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I the. I'm the. the. the. the. the. the. to. the. to. the. the. to. the. I'd. I th. I then again, the year later,
I got a rich role in some other sort of key podcasts.
So we have a whole sort of like a thriving community.
And we try to keep, we say the main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing.
And that is focus on our individual personal evolution, stay on track with that
or else you tip into lesser degrees of or temporary ideas of
right and wrong.
There's a real idea of right and wrong and the real idea is I'm a spiritual being and I need
to engage my spiritual work to move forward. Otherwise, a political direction will
veer me off, a social connection,
some type of hate will veer me off. I'm trying to, I stay really focused on the center.
It doesn't mean I don't have my personal opinions. I have them pretty strongly, but I just sort
of keep them on my own and keep that, at least what I say, you know, publicly, I try to keep
that internal work the most important thing.
This resonates with me so much.
You know, I've been on this spiritual journey as well.
You know, this podcast comes from a time when I was watching, I was watching what I
was watching what was going on in this nation, and what I was being told was matching
what my eyes, my ears and the wisdom of my experiences were telling me
So I started to listen to people from both ends of the spectrum telling me something isn't right and so I did sure I decided to do this podcast and you know it goes on this journey
I start you know, I have two people come on kind of back to back, this guy named Matt LeCroix talks about like ancient civilizations, then I had...
Totally into that.
Yeah, well me too. I love to, hidden history is my jam. It's my, I love to listen to it.
I, the more and more, the deeper I go, the more and more I realize that my basic understanding of humans and their evolution is probably way off and
it's done on purpose to disconnect us from source God or whatever you want to talk about.
Then I had a Buddhist author on named Von Galt and Vongal started saying the exact same things
that Matt LeCroi was saying but from a spiritual philosophical point of view and that started resonating with me so as I go
on this journey you know and any other show has been great I don't know who
who's been influenced by it and who hasn't that I that's not really my worry
but you know I watch people kind of come to the the understanding that maybe things aren't what we're told and then they kind they the the th the kind th th the th the th th. th. th. the th. the they kind th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi to get to get to get to get to to to to thi. thi. thi. thi. to thi. thi. thi. their their their their their their. their. their. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. their their their their their their their they. they. they. they. I I they. I they. I they. I they. th. I th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to. th. th. I to. to. to. th. to. I th. to. I th. th. I th. th. I th. I th. I come to the understanding that maybe things aren't what we're told
and then they kind of get like really passionate and they want to become Paul Revere and they want
to just get on their horse and yell about the lizard people and the demons and all these
people are coming and nobody's listening so they get more and more frustrated and they just
start to try and they just start to to go like....... the the the the the to the the their. their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their to get to get to get they're to get they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they love aren't exactly the same and things start to change and
And I start to go like what is the point of trying to save the world if you're going to be miserable in it?
So what resonates with me that's a beautiful that's a great quote that's a great point. That's a great point. Thank you that means a lot to me and and so what you what so for where I am right to that? to the the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th that to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their to their to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their the world the. try. try. try. try. try. try. try. try. try. to to to to to to to to to to to recovery and I take them through this kind
of path is like what is my role in it and how can I work on myself?
I like the key right now is working on myself.
You know it's like I see all these protests going on, I see all this and I go, I don't know
what that's going to change. I go, for me, for me the key in life is like, I don't think you can't th th th th th th th th th think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I'm that, I'm thin, I'm thin, I am thin, I am thin I am thin I am thin I am thin I am thin, I thin, I thin, I thin, I th, I th, I don't know what that's going to change. I go, for me, for me, the key in life is like,
I don't think you can change the game.
I think what you do is you beat the game.
And by beating the game, you show other people how to beat the game,
and then they learn to beat the game, and then the game adapts to everyone's beat it. Okay, now it's got to kind of morph a little bit
to give people a little bit more of a little bitlance in their journey. So they learn something
about themselves. And that's kind of what I've learned over. So like when you say it's about working on yourself,
that resonates with where I am right now, spiritual. I feel I feel you're right on.
The second point I want to make, I'll start with, which is we've created a culture
that tries to shame people into changing.
And it doesn't work.
I mean, if you think it works,
try it with your kids.
You want your kids to change and you're gonna shame them.
You're gonna, you're gonna broke, have a dysfunctional relationship. The kids's thk, thk, thk, thk, thk, thk, thk, thk, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, I thi, I thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, I I I, their, their, their, I I I their, I I th. I th. I th. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi, thi, thi, I'm, thi, thi. thi. thi. I'm thateean. I'm that, that, that, that, that, that, the kids gonna have issues and they're always going to resent you and hate you.
We want we try to change the world through shame and not through just not by
example or by you know healthy conversation then it's it's silly and the
whole the whole Hansel culture is is just that we're gonna shame you to change
like give me a break.
It's like, yeah.
And the next thing is, one great takeaway from everything that's all the disasters that
happened since 2020 is that we learn the idea that there are alternative narratives.
And I think that's a great thing.
When we broke away from
England and had our independence and we were revolutionaries, that's our side
of the story. That's how we learned it in the history books. England has a whole
another twist on it. Yes. We gave these guys so much of a leash, we gave them our properties,
we help them out so much and how dare they betray us? How dare they? So everyone's got a different side of the narrative in the divorce, so to speak.
And I think it's important to just not say like, no, this is the way.
Are you positive it's the way?
And I was trained in that way of thinking in the Ashram because a lot of the sacred literature of India speaks
about one, alternative realities, alternative ideas of evolution, alternative ideas of metaphysical
realities, ideas on life on other planets, ideas on, I mean, it's mind-blowing stuff.
It's not, and they're into great detail about it, and not that the world has, is evolving
into the pinnacle of evolution right now. It's the opposite. We are devolving species.
There was a time where people were higher, more enlightened, and that can be told,
demonstrated through culture, through language, through music,
through dance.
I mean, if you think about, I mean, you know, there's music in ancient times that could burst
you into tears and they would say that it would have powers, the music itself would have
powers to create rain or to affect a person's consciousness in such
a deep way.
Now it's like, we're just making noise on a synthesizer or language, for example, the language,
the degradation of culture comes in language. You cut down the vocabulary.
We're not even using words anymore. We're using emogees to communicate.
I mean, if you want to go out with the girl,
you use a few text messages and you can have a date.
Before there was like an entire courting process
where you get to know people.
We're becoming less and less cultured and less civilized.
And that's not evolution.
Just because we can text each other or have AI.
That's a type of evolution, but it's creating a more base individual.
And so what you're doing through a 12-step program, people are doing, or yogis are doing, the
concept is no longer am I going to let my sentences control me.
No longer am I going to use my lower passions to be my intelligence.
Now I'm going to take back control of the senses.
I'm going to take back control of my mind,
and I'm going to use them as my employees instead of them being my masters.
The mind makes a miserable master.
It makes a great employee.
So anytime you try to pull back the senses and take control,
you have a little bit more governance over your life.
And it's a, it's, it's, it's quite a beautiful thing and it's the, it's the, it's the,
it's the, it's the dawn of becoming an adult almost. Otherwise, we're just a bunch of children,
if I can't control my penis, give me break.
Oh God, I am a child. Oh. I'm trying my hardest.
Hey guys, real quick man.
I'm so excited to tell you about our new sponsor, Arena Club.
Brap, brah, brah.
Listen, man, as a kid, I loved collecting baseball, sports cards.
Now there are all the sports, football, baseball, basketball.
So in the hobby of collecting sports, it's not easy being a fan of ripping packs or repacks.
We hype ourselves up, thinking maybe we might pull of, I don't know, Ken Griffey Jr.,
Shaquille O'Neal, rookie card.
Who knows, bro?
Who knows?
Caleb Williams?
All these guys, but with zero transparency on available cards and hit rates. It's just all a shot in the dark.
Until now, introducing slab packs from arena club.com. I'm so excited about
this. The only repack that provides you real value, a complete view of all the
possible cards and a clear hit rate for each one. Now when I buy slab packs on
arena club, it finally feels like I know
what I'm getting into and I love it, dude. I love it. John, you got some cards off it, right?
Yeah, I got Lamar Jackson Rookie card. I have Ozzy Albies, Ronald Cunia card that I think's
going to be profitable because Ozzy Alby is going to have a great season.
Arena Clubs are revolutionizing the repack game with transparency. Okay, after your
pools are revealed, they'll be immediately placed in your vault for safekeeping or trading or
selling. You can have them officially graded by Arena Club. The Arena Club grading process
is accurate, fast and transparent with a full grade rationale provided
an explanation of how your card was scored.
Whether you're buying, selling, trading, or displaying Arena Club is the card collecting
platform.
You have to check out.
I mean, dude, I love it, dude.
Damn, look at those cards.
That's awesome.
Right now, you can get 10%
off your first purchase by going to ArenaClub.com slash Tinfoil. Wow, that's a crazy offer,
10% off of $400 slap pack. That's $40 right there. Anyways, that's Arena Club.
tocom slash tinfoil for 10% off your first purchase.
I love collecting baseball cards, football cards, basketball cards, and an arena club is the best place to do it.
A lot of things are resonating with me.
And, you know, the big thing for me is the hermetic principles.
You know, I'm in this kind of thing where I, we discussed this on our live show the Hermetic Principles. You know, I'm in this kind of thing where we discussed this on our live show the other
day.
My kind of battle within me between, you know, my love of Christianity, Christ and all that stuff,
Christ consciousness and all that, and also my, you know, understanding that there's, there's
this kind of energy in the universe. And I think, like, when I read the Hermetic Principles, like, it starts, it, it, it, it, it, it starts, it starts, it starts, it starts, it starts, it starts, to to to to the, to to the, to to the, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, the, is, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, they, they, the, thi, is, they.eei, the, thi, the, thi, th the universe. And I think like when I read the Hermetic principles,
like it starts to give me a nice little roadmap of kind of how energy works and all that stuff.
And so when you bring up that there's like all these alternative realities, that resonates
with me as well because I go like, you know, when I look at like Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton,
these lightning rod people and how like you could have two people sitting in a room and they have just
180 views of the same person.
And you're like, okay, and like, how's that possible?
And I go, well, because they're the duality of everybody, lights and dark. Some people see the lights, and, and the understanding of that. So, like, my question is like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. the, the, th. the, th. th. th. th. th. th.e. to, to, to, to, to, to, to, th.ooo.e.e.e. to. to. to. to. to, to, th. th. the, the light, some people see the darks, and and and the understanding of that. So like
my question is like, do
is it what it I'm basically like
Where do we go from here as a society if we've we're all seeing different realities. Do you think?
Yeah, the
There needs to be some type of GPS. And it's a problem.
It's a problem.
And I have full faith that dust will settle.
And there will be people that lead with integrity.
There are universal principles.
It's not just a free-for-all.
There's a universal principles. There's universal laws. And-for-all. There's a universal principles, there's universal laws.
And you can you can check in with them on a regular basis. You can check in with how does it feel to have a calm mind as opposed to an erratic mind?
How does it feel to control the senses as opposed to the sense is controlling you? How does it, how does it feel to be, have rage or violence,
you know, unfettered, out of control?
How does that feel or has it feel to be self-controlled?
Has it feel to be understanding instead of just, you know, belligerent?
So there are laws in the universe and there's all, and there's an order in the universe?
And it's laid down in the universe and it's
laid down in oftentimes spiritual traditions and it I think it's time for
people to start to realize the commonality in a lot of these spiritual traditions.
What you get is again just like politics just like anything anybody does for self-betterment,
right? You become an animal rights activist,
you become a Republican or a Democrat,
you become into some pro-Israel pro-Palestine.
Anything people do,
which might see like a seed start for something good.
I wanna do something good.
People are dying, they're suffering in the world.
I think if I, it starts off good,
but woven into it without checking is the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed the weed into it without checking is the weed of hate and it becomes
less of doing good and becomes you become hateful and then hate has one and I'm convinced of this.
So there has to be within a spiritual path instead of saying what am I, how am I different
from this Christian guy. There has to be a, or and vice versa, and the Christians have to say, how am I different from this Christian guy? There has to be, and vice versa, and the Christians have to say, how am I different
from these Hindus or Vedic people?
We have to understand the inclusivity of a spiritual path instead of my exclusive path.
Doesn't mean he can't be a Christian, but it means people have to understand that
there are spiritual commonalities that we all share.
And instead we have a bunch of neophytes who are fanatics and this type of religious zealot
or fanaticism.
It's one thing to be focused, but that focused, it's a good principle I find to live
by is be strict with yourself, but be very tolerant with others.
Appreciate that people are on some type of spiritual path, and sometimes they're off on
their own path, and they're out of your control, too.
All you can do is set a good example, teach by example, and try to find some commonality
in people.
And instead of finding why they're all wrong, find some good in them.
Find the good and try to milk that that that that that that that that them. Everybody's got some good in them. Find the good and try to milk that out of the person.
Yeah, I find it very interesting that the Abrahamic religions have so much in common yet they seem so far apart. Oh, they all basically come from the same place, right? It's like it's so crazy to me that they can't find the
commonality in all their beliefs and that okay we just see a little different like I always say that religion is kind of like a there was a car crash and everybody kind of
has their take and what the car what happened in the car crash oh Sam Sam my
girl is a her family is Catholic and she started going to Christian church
they're with it just because it's still it's still basically Jesus but they're so close to her life they feel like she left the family she's like oh you're gonna go to
that church and it's just to me it's like dude she's what doesn't matter
but yeah it's so if you can get that I can imagine me it's sure yeah especially when
the core tenant of so many of these beliefs systems it's tolerance and to the tolerance and the the the the the the the the the the the toler and love toler and love to to to to to to to to to tolar to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to tol. to to tol. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the the to. the the to. the tel. tel. the tel. to to to to to to to their. that's so easy for, they ignore that more than anything.
You know, and that's the core teaching of nearly every religion.
So yeah, it's hypocritical to think any other way, I think.
I don't know.
So search for the commonalities and there's a lot there.
If you look for them, just like you can always look for differences.
But then you're gonna stay different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different different to to stay to stay to stay to stay to stay to stay to stay to stay tothen you're going to stay different you're going to find new enemies. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's almost like we have to have that like. Yeah. People want to limit their God, right? That's what it seems like people want to put limitations on their their God, you know, like, especially Christians. They, and I say that as a Christian. They, they, the God that so many people teach is very small, you know, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their, their, their, their, their, their their their their their, their their their their to to to to to to to to to to to to their their, their, their, their, their, their, their, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. It, th. It, th. It, th. It, th. It's, their, their, their their their their their their their their their thooooo. It's their their their thi. It's their their thi. It'steach is very small, you know, limited, like he couldn't possibly have, you know, room for these other, you know, divergent
beliefs and that that to me doesn't, that doesn't feel right, you know, when I
when I search inside. As well, for sure. Yeah, of course, of course, but I've just, I
but again I have no problems with any of these beliefs. I think at their core they're all saying the exact same thing
and we just get these kind of little tweaks here and there which get into this, you know,
what we're talking about here which is which allows hate to happen. So we're all talking, I'm sorry,
we're all talking about a higher power and you can give that higher power a different name it just like I can call the sun, the sun the sun the sun the sun the sun the sun in the sun in the sun in the sun in the sun in the sun in the sun in the sun in the sun in the sun in th. so on. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. the sun. the sun. the sun. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the same. I. I. I. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. So. the. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. just like I can call the sun the sun in English
Sole in French and Surya in India, but we're talking about the same if I say the sun is no
You got the wrong name man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I say that
Eskimos have 40 words for snow still still you know, but we all just get into this kind of craziness real? Real quick, if you want to see me live, we got some great shows this weekend.

oh I will dude I will the profit I love them so much such a blessing to call
them a friend it's like so crazy to me to go on the road with Jiu Jitsu Jesus and just
see the see people see nothing but like cauliflower eared people just sitting there and you know kissing the ring it's it it it it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the to to to to to to to the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their th the. the. the the. the thooooooooo. the. the. the the the their their their the there, you know, kissing the ring.
It's very cool to see and it's a blessing to have him in my life.
The man changed my life and I've been on this great journey.
I can just add one thing to that earlier thing.
You have seventh day adventursts.
There's this guy that would show up once a year at my church when he was going to show up but in the middle of sermon he would stand up and start screaming that we're going to church on
the wrong day you know that this is not the Sabbath and I mean and he would
have to be taken out physically at once a year he'd just show up you
never knew what was going to happen it was a great surprise for the kids love that and and to be I mean think about it that he could work th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. I thi. I thi. Think thi. I thi. Think thi. I'm thi. I was thi. thi. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi's is not thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi's is thi. thi's is not thi think about it, that he could work up that kind of anger over just, you know, what is likely a statistical error over the ages.
Surely we've lost a day here or there, you know, in these calendars and transition.
So I, people get worked up over anything in religion.
Can I, can I share a story?
It's in my book. I got a book that came out, it's called from punk to monk. But, but, but, but, but, but it, but it, but it to the to to to th. But, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, I, I, I thi, I thi, I was, I, you, I thi, I was, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you th. thi, you thi, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, they. And, they. And, they. And, thi. And, thi. And, I's, I's, I'm, I'm, I'm, to to to to to to to to to th. to to to th. to be, I's, I was, I'm, th called from Punk to Monk, but it talked about like in the- That's a great name.
Thanks.
It was, you know, it was, I was going to like college in Connecticut and, you know, I was straight
edge, I was in a band, I was going on the weekends to the Lower East Side and in New York City, but I had this concept that, okay, I'm in college, and college is just
like a party, party town, but I need to, I don't want to do that with my mind, with my body,
so I'm going to find, I have to find a group of people, I don't know anybody, and I've
got to find a group of people that are going to give me and keep me a little bit more sense controlled, thoughtful, introspective, etc.
So, I was always a, I wouldn't say a religious person, but I had, I appreciated spiritual path.
I grew up Catholic, so I said, you know what, I'm just going to join some Christian club.
Now I look like a nutty punk kid, which nowadays doesn't even look weird anymore,
because everyone's got a tattoo on their neck. And, um, but I was, you know, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, so I, th, to, to, to, to, to, to, I, I, I, to, I, I, I, I was, to, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, th.. th. th. th. th. to, to, th. th. to, to, to, th. th. to, to, wouldn't, wouldn't, wouldn't, wouldn't, th. th. to, wouldn't, wouldn't, wouldn't, wouldn't, to, wouldn't But I was, you know, so I went to this Christian club.
Everyone's really normal and nice and kind.
And I'm okay with that.
You want to be completely normal.
It's cool with me.
And we do things like, okay, you know,
too, let's go out and go to the hospital.
And we'll around on Tuesday afternoons and we, you know, read from the New Testament and,
okay.
And it was sort of like a nice, positive vibe.
One day, and again, my thing was metaphysics and mysticism and spirituality, so I could appreciate
the New Testament. And I would go to these metaphysical bookstores in New York City of the time, and I got this called the Domnipata which is these classical Buddhist literature and they had topics
like you know the importance of compassion and mindfulness and forgiveness and I
thought oh my god this is so Christian wait till my Christian friends hear
about this.
And so as soon as it was circle up time, I said, you guys are not going to believe this, but I found this incredible book.
I think you guys are to like and I pulled it out, and it was just like stone-faced, wordless, and they could not accept.
There was anything positive about this.
I was like, everything is being said that is said in the Bible.
It predates the New Testament.
Cut some slack.
And finally, I had to like really get to the bottom of your philosophy.
If I'm a good Buddhist following all the tenants of Buddhism or a good Jew following
all the tenants, Buddhism or a good Jew following all
the tenant, all the commandments of Judaism, where do I go at the time of death? And the leader of the
group, you know, he tried to like squirm around and finally just said, you're going to go straight
to hell. And I said, you know what, I'm reading a different book than you. I'm reading the same book but you're
interpreting it somewhat different. I said where does Moses go? He's going to
hell? He never met Jesus. Where does Abraham go? He's going to hell? He's going to
hell? He never met Jesus? He never met Jesus? He never met Jesus? He never met Jesus? He's
never met Jesus? the kind of sadistic God do you worship?
That he's going to make you go to hell eternally because you were born on the other side of the
planet?
Come on, people.
I think about that all the time, dude.
I think about that all the time.
Right now, there's some kind of village that nobody's ever seen because it's so deep in
the Amazon nobody's ever seen it. Where's their path go? And again this isn't
to me anti-Jesus or anti-Christian it's just like it's just mindsets right and I think
about that like I think that about that a lot. No and you know they ran I mean Rob
Bell who was one the most famous let's say proponents of this idea of you know a more
merciful God yeah yeah you he they ran him out of mainstream Christianity
with with great fervor I mean they were happy to see him booted from the mainstream
mainstream and yeah I mean if I had they're not even thy native radical you know I mean they're they're pretty I
mean to me they're it's all biblically sourced if you just read the book but
so many people just especially in church you know they choose in churches very
specific texts to kind of scare the hell out of people the hell into
people really well and they did I'm the'm the way the truth of light. No one gets to the father except for me.
I get that.
So Buddha said the same thing.
He said no one crosses the great ocean except for me.
Yeah, no, Buddhists are the same thing.
No one gets to the across the ocean except for me.
Krishna in the bag things, what do you want to have like an MMA
match and see who wins or...
That's what I'm saying.
Right?
Or why not find what these people are talking about that they have in common?
And ultimately that there's these masters or these teachers that are giving this truth.
Why can't we find, to different cultures in different times and different places in
different circumstances. And that's why I ended up leaning in towards India because woven
into the teachings itself are a very broad, wide-gated ecumenical understanding of spiritual
truth, which is that, yeah, Christians are on a spiritual path. Of course, they are. We're all we're also, and that's why there's this idea of eternal, eternal, eternal, eternal, eternal, eternal, eternal, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, and, tr, tr, and, tr, tr, tr, and, and, tr, and tr, and tr, truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and truth, and tru, and tru, and tru, and tru, and tru, and tru, and tru, and tru, and tru, and tr, and tr, and tr, and tr, and tr, and tr, and tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, tr, path. Of course, they are. We're all, and that's why there's this idea of eternality
of the soul, or as,
what, who's the guy that wrote, mere Christianity?
Can't remember his name?
Oh, uh, Mara. Oh, CS Lewis, thus, the S. Lewis is, uh, so C.S. Lewis coined a famous, famous, a famous, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. And, and, that, and, and, and, that, and, and, and, and, that, and, and, and, and, that, and, and, that's, and, and, that's, and, that's, and, and, and, that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and that's, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, that's, that's, and, that's, and, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's,, CS Lewis, CS Lewis. Yes, Lewis.
So C.S. Lewis is, uh, so C.S. Lewis coined a famous phrase, we don't have a soul.
We are a soul that has a body.
And that's exactly how the yogis of India take it.
We are spiritual beings, and for right now, I'm in this Ray Capo body.
And that's only for a moment.
I've watched it grow.
I've watched it age.
I'll see it wither.
I'll see it die.
But I am the witness of it.
Meaning I'm watching it go through all these phases.
It's not, I'm the viewer.
And it's just changing.
In the same way, I'm putting my hands in a waterfall. I can't catch the waterfall. The waterfall is running through my hands. My body is like that waterfall, going in slow motion, breaking apart
every time I scratch my skin, every time I eat some food, I'm creating a new body. But
there's an observer. So the yogis say that energy that's animating matter, it never dies.
It just takes on new form until it learns its lessons. And we are just doing time in the material world.
And we all witnessed that.
We've all witnessed us like, shit I blew that relationship or should I did it wrong again?
What was I thinking?
We exclaim these things.
What was I thinking?
And what happens is, until you learn your lessons, you can't evolve.
And so when we do learn lessons, we go up a little.
When we get screwed up again and again, those lessons will come, and sometimes those addictions
like this, and if you're familiar with 12-step recovery, addiction is, I am caught up in a downward
spiral, and everything I'm doing to get out is getting me caught more down.
And sometimes they spin out of, spin out of control.
And so spiritual paths come to people as a lifeline to say, hey, the toilet's flushing quick,
you're going down quick, grab a lifeline.
And we find that through Christianity.
We find that through a 12-step program.
We find that through Christian consciousness. We find that through any bona fide spiritual path that can take a person out of that whirlwind of addictive mentality and behavior.
It's a savior that you become a savior. Christ is a savior, but truthfully anybody
that reaches out and saves you from that hell on earth. You don't even have to go to hell with a little guy with the pitchfork, you don't have to go there. You can experience hell on earth by addictive behavior, abusive behavior, traumatic behavior. Some of us have
been to hell and some of us are still living in that hell. But spiritual truth comes in
like a lifesaver thrown when you're lost at the ocean and just gives you a hope
to grab onto. And that's why practicing whatever it is, Christian, they're all lifesavers for people
that changes their life.
It protects them from their own mind and senses and from the world around them.
And that's why people were very, very God conscious in any spiritual power.
They can be amongst chaos.
They can be in prison and find some type of sanity.
Find some type of peace of mind.
It's quite impressive.
I love that.
Love it, man.
I'm with you on that.

And for me, man, you know, as a guy who's like in this spiritual, I never had a problem
with God, always had God in my life, but like, really trying to live by the principles that I've learned to the best of my ability. You know,
like I have this new operating system. Love it. You know, going into this old wiring and sometimes
they bump, you know, and it's a little clunky, you know, so I'm taking these principles I love which is you know That I've discovered through all these different
Masters that I've learned from and one thing that I don't understand and I don't condemn any religion
I could then people who who push certain
Dogmas right so like love thy neighbor and how people kind of like analyze that into this way that still allows them to sometimes be able to find hate for others. I? I? I? I? I think to the to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, the the their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their their their their their their their their their their their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, analyze that into this way that still allows them to sometimes
Be able to find hate for others. I don't understand that you know like
There's a guy who sleeps in a car outside my house. He has a van and he sleeps in the van every night outside my house. So there's basically This is the next
You know, so I I have to somehow I find I find I have to show love to show love to that I find I the the the the the the the the the the the to show love to show love the the the the to show love to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes. I to to to to be to be to be to be to be to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the toe. I sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes sometimes. I to to to's basically, this is the next. You know, so I, I have to somehow, I find, I have to show love to that guy because I don't know why he's in that car or how he did that car.
So, so like I see these people like when I see a trading card hobby.
When I see people, I don't know what that sound is by the way.
What is that sound?
I do not know. So when I see these people who
can, let's say there's a trans church, right? And these people are so connecting with God in
their way and they're allowing people of a certain lifestyle to have a religion and people get so mad at this stuff.
And how they like celebrate certain religions
that don't allow for any kind of gray area of connecting with God.
I don't get that.
And I'm not condemning a religion.
I'm condemning a view of a individual into not having that, you know, love is inclusive to everybody. Now if somebody goes out there and they do certain things, let's say they, they, they do certain they, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have to have, to have to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have, to have a certain, to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain to have a certain, love is inclusive to everybody.
Now if somebody goes out there and they do certain things, let's say they, they do something
to children.
Like that to me is totally different than excluding people from worshipping God and having
their own personal relationship with God.
Because that's where I'm in, like, my relationship with God is my relationship with God.
Other people's relationships with God and how they're going to do it, and how that at the end of the day,
wherever we're judged or if we're judged at all, whether we move on to a higher level or we get sent
back to a lower level, whatever that moment is, which we, whether we know what that is or not that that's everyone's individual
journey in my humble opinion. Yeah I'm totally with you. There has to be some
type of mind in your own business too.
Even the stuff that I say I only do it because you asked me to come in the podcast
or because I'm writing a memoir or people sign up
for a yoga class and I teach them yoga philosophy,
or I write a song.
But basically, I don't go around just like telling people stuff.
If people want to know, I tell them. I just sort of, I feel like I don't necessarily love unsolicited advice and I don't really give it unless it's
and I don't really give it unless people want to hear it and then I'll give them as much as they want.
And it keeps my ego in check as well too just just try to live and try to be an example from living.
That's a very Christ-like example as well. What made you abruptly move to India? What made you just decide no more with the band and go to India?
It was probably similar to what you went through, Sam, where you just sort of get,
you're just sick of it all. You're just sick, I'm sick of this, I'm sick of this, I'm sick of this, and I've got to end this part of my life if I want to, to move forward to thn, if thn, if th, if th, if th, if th, if I th, if I th, if I th, if I th, if I th, if I th, if I th, if I th, if I th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, it was th, it was th, it was th, it was th, it was th, it th, it th, it th, it th, it th, it th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, the thi, the thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thin, to thi, to to to to thin, thiiiiiiiiiiiii, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th move forward to the next incarnation of who I am and so and I'm sure you know like just in this industry of you know getting up on stage and stuff like that where
There's a lot of there can be a lot of ego involved. There can be a lot of fame thrown at you there can be sometimes money or or or, you know, intoxicants or There can be a lot of things that can divert you from your from your path, but
oftentimes you get some clear headspace and you go, too much of nonsense.
What is this going to actually give me?
What do I, what am I actually getting?
Big deal, right?
And sometimes I got to this point, I think with a certain amount of success and I'm sure
people were any in their own workplace finding
their success, they just go, big deal.
Am I really changing?
Am I really growing?
Or do you just, do I have more fans?
Do I have more followers?
Do I get more accolades?
Do I have more money now?
And I think that was sort of a wake-up call.
I was like, I need to find myself, I need to not recreate myself, but uncover what I really am.
And also it's what I was, I was reading a bunch of spiritual books at the time.
I was just like absorbed in spiritual books and hearing from metaphysical people,
Christ consciousness, God consciousness, Tibetan Book of the Dead,
you know, Jonathan Livingston, Siegel, the Bagabittita, and I wanted to get Book of the Dead, you know, Jonathan
Livingston, Siegel, the Bhagavid Gita, and I wanted to get to the bottom, I don't want to read
a bunch of great books. I actually wanted a practice. I wanted something I do in a regular basis,
that uplifts my mind and my consciousness. I wanted a lifestyle and I will give anything
to do that. And I got to the point where like, even though I had very good friends, they were good people,
I felt like, okay, the gross stuff is out of my mind.
I'm not taking drugs or intoxicated, I'm not smoking.
But now the real inner engineering has to happen.
How do I get rid of anger, competition, envy, rage?
Now I've got to just work on this mind. I don't have anything this major in a black
ice that's going to slide my car off the road. Now I'm on the, now, how do I fine-tune the vehicle?
And that's why we got on a spiritual path because I know that the East was filled with
this subtle information to have you live in peace in this life while feel connected afterwards. And if you meet people, I first went to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their sea.ea.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck.eck when I first went to India and just got to hang with all these monks,
I got to realize, wow, people don't have anything.
No only tell you have anything, if it's miserable, by material standards, it's miserable.
And they all are so freaking happy. What am I doing wrong?
And at that point I realize man I want what these guys have
I don't know. So then so then how so then how do you how do you sign up to hang out with the monks or like what's the process that like like let's say I want to go hang out with monks actually I might I might say quit 10 full hat I go over there I go to India what's the next move once I land do you just? I mean like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, I th, I the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th. th. that, I that, I that, I that, I that, I that, that, I that, that, that, I that, I that, I that, I th. ing. You want to go hang out with Hmong text sheet? I might. I might say, quit 10-full hat. I go over there, I go to India.
What's the next move once I land?
Do you just, I mean, I might know it's easier throughout the internet now, but like,
how'd you do it?
You know, this was the, this was the, this was, the, the, the, the, the, the,, you're right a, you get an address from somebody and
you, I mean, it's hard to believe we even did this, you know, you get airmail right on
like rice paper. Hi, I am interested in staying at your ashram and perhaps becoming a monk
there and what is the process? Basically like that. It's almost hard for to believe
that there was no Amazon Prime and there was no cell phones and you couldn't just call somebody from your watch. Yeah, we went, it was like the old school
route and then you sort of find, find out slowly how to do it and figure it out.
So when you when you go there and you see that they have so little and you know
I it's very interesting as I study just like our modern culture.
It just seems like there's a little bit, not everybody obviously, or maybe it's just what's
presented on the internet, but there seems to be this kind of, this misery that comes
with a lot of money, a lot of fame and a lot of success.
They're just either the misery of trying to maintain it and keep it,
even though it's meant to be fleeting,
that you're only meant to have it for a little while.
Sure.
Until somebody else gets to try for a little,
and then this desperation to hold on to it.
And then you verse, you kind of look at people that Are just like you have very little and how much happiness they have it's almost like when you compare like California let's say to
You know, Wisconsin like it's like or you know, we're like their son and everything and you know, they don't seem to have the greatest personalities in the world, then you go to place where the weather is awful and all of sudden they've got these great personalities because they have to figure out the the the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they have they have they have they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they to to to to to to to to to to to to to try to to try to try to try to try to to try their their their their their their their 't seem to have the greatest personalities in the world. Then you go to places where the weather's awful and all of a sudden, they've got these great personalities because they have to figure out how to entertain themselves when they're
stuck inside.
Like, like, to me, it's kind of, what is that?
Do you think that is?
First of all, I really appreciate your insight. you've like journaled on this for a long time. But it's very good, it's very interesting and very insightful.
And oftentimes these good fortune that people get,
sometimes people are very beautiful, sometimes are very intelligent,
sometimes are very wealthy.
All of that stuff is considered like a downed electrical wire.
Like after a storm and there's wires have gone down.
They're powerful, but they're not grounded to anything.
So sometimes people get tons of money
or admit people become famous, very famous,
and completely unhinges them.
And they become, like you said, consumed by them, Sam, they lose their grounding,
they become miserable, they lose their grounding, they become miserable,
they start to become highly competitive, because those downed wires are dangerous in the hands of a child.
And all of us, a lot of times, we're children when dealing with powerful energies of the world.
And sort of the process of, you know, what I study, Bachti Yoga is, how to harness
energy, so it's no longer frying you. But you can use that same electricity to light up a
city. It's not a, electricity is not evil. It's just like it landed in our hands.
We're not used to it. And I've seen it happen when people are very beautiful.
Like I said, people have lots of money. People have lots of money. This guy just likes me because I got money.
Or this guy likes me because I'm famous.
Sure, these people are just like, they're just hanging on every word I say
because I'm beautiful.
And I can just use that, I use that currency to manipulate people.
Then I become a bigger monster. And so, yeah, yeah, weh, weh, they, they, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, this guy, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, this guy, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just thi, like, just thi, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, just like, thi. I thi, just thi, just to learn how to, it's not necessarily you have a lot and you're a pig.
It can be, it can be, but you can also be a pig with nothing.
I've met a lot of broke pigs as well.
And so, yeah, poverty is not necessarily the answer to become God conscious or spiritual. What, the answer to become a spiritual person
is to live a spiritual life, and that means that we live this life in service of others.
And I have people in my life that is everything.
That is everything.
Right. I can't express enough.
I didn't mean to cut you off, but. That is everything.
That is everything. Like, being of service to others like, you know, I'm blessed to work with some people who are on their journey in life and all I can tell them is like what is the game man.
What is the game of life? The game is life is can you help people achieve what they want to achieve? Can you be to tell you tell you. Can you tell the tell? the the the the the the the the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. I. I. I. I. I. their. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. their their to their their. to to their. their. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. their. their. their. their. their. their. to achieve. Can you be of service to them and help them achieve what they're they're looking to achieve? You know, what is, like, okay, me cutting you off right there,
I would tell you that's probably not how this, the game of podcasting is done. You're talking,
I cut you off. It's not a professional way of operating a podcast. And that's been a big complaint on the show forever. That's, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, they's, they's, thi, thi, they's that, that, that, that, that, that, they's they's that, that, that, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi, thi, thi, thi, they they they's, they's, they's, they's, they's they's they's they's they're, they're, they're, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like big complaint on the show forever that I don't let the guest talk but it's like how
me and you are all of us talking right now like there is a game that gets needs to get played
and we have to service that to get that going when you when you're servicing people that's when your life tends to go
I feel like you vibrate in a higher level. I'm 100% with you and I totally appreciate you cutting me off actually because
we resonated on this very big topic and this is this is the topic of a spiritual life.
Humility doesn't mean think of yourself less.
Humility doesn't mean think, think less of yourself.
Sometimes people think, I don't want to be humble,
I don't mean self-dep-
It doesn't mean think of, think less of yourself.
It thinks, means thinking of yourself less.
You're thinking, how could I be of service to others?
And that flips everything,
that flips the ego right around.
And you see yourself as I'm part of something bigger. And so my point I was making was that there are people who have lots of resources and they
say you know what, I'm going to use these resources to do great things.
I'm going to use these resources not just for my ego aggrandizement, but to serve a greater
good.
And that is the difference right there. Because if you're, all you have is a few pennies but you're their, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, I, th, I, I, I, th, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, th, I'm, I'm, I'm a thi, thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm tho, I'm tho, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the, their, th, their, thi, thi, thi, thi, to, thi, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, to, tho, the.e.e. And, their, their, their, the difference right there. Because if you're, all you have is a few pennies but you're proud of them and you try, whatever
you have, you're using it to manipulate others, you could have lots of reason, you could
have nothing or you could have it.
That's just your mindset.
At the same time, you can be, you can be very, very wealthy and be a total monster.
Or you can have nothing to be monster. It's how you utilize them and it's that utility is the principle.
Yeah, I mean, this resonates with me.
This totally resonates with me.
Are you helping others?
Like, what is the purpose of that?
When you get out of your own way and you help others,
it's crazy how the universe rewards you.
I've been living that for a while while thi I think things are about to crash and burn,
I just like to go out and help people and then somehow things begin to change.
And you know, we always see these people who are like these really successful and I'm
not judging anybody.
This is based out the wisdom of my experiences, right. I've just seen people who even from a far seem to have this kind of psychopath
kind of win at all cost
Operation a way of operating operating system whatever it is and then you kind of look at their kids and their kids seem to be lost
Because they didn't spend enough time nurturing the next generation.
They were so consumed on winning that they didn't take care of what I believe is our purpose,
which is to help others, particularly our children, and our children are our legacy.
To me, this is just Sam speaking, the legacy of us and our kind of impact on the world and you just
see these these kind of psychopath warmongers out there and then they just have children who
seem to be lost and I don't say that out of like just happiness but I say that out of sadness
that their children just seem to be kind of lost because they never got the focus right there. And that to me is what it's all about. It's like, just, just, just, just, just, just, like, like, th, th, like, th, like, th, th, th, the thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, their their their their their their their their their their their, thi, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their their their, their their thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th never got the focus right there. And that to me is what it's all about.
It's like helping others, getting out of your own way.
That's the key to this.
And it's something I talk about this all the time.
It's easy versus simple, right?
Like easy is the quick fix of drugs and alcohol and all that stuff.
Pornography all that. stuff, pornography, all that, and simple is like meditation, working out, helping others,
are you getting closer to God, you're getting farther from God?
That's me, you know, so if you kind of, let's kind of start, you know, like, look at people,
why these people, all this money go broke.
What are they spending their money on?
They tend to spend on houses, jewelry, white tigers, right?
You're like if you're buying white tigers, we have a buddy, Vardt, if you're buying white tigers,
you're about to crash and burn, that's where you get to, right? We have a buddy who says that all
the time, and it's just true because I feel that money, there's this weird thing where like, we're kind of in this Babylonian money magic system right now
where our money isn't real, right?
But the theory of money to me is different than what we're actually dealing with right now.
And the theory of money to me is it's meant to be spent.
And it's meant to be spent on others.
You're in financial fear, I find going around handing people, money to people that need it. Somehow the universe goes, okay, okay, that's how you do.
You give it away to other people, you give the charities, you help others.
You know, you donate to people who try to help innocent people in jail, get out of jail,
whatever that is, that seems to be the way that the universe kind of appreciates you spending this kind of thing that has been created in this realm that we live in.
Do you have any thoughts on that?
Yeah, I feel like you're right on.
It's not just like one rich guy.
It's like a culture that we're propagating of consumption.
A culture of consumption that by consuming stuff, I'm going to be joyous and it just doesn't work.
We have massive houses of stuff, we have storage containers of stuff that we don't even use,
that we're saving for some other time that will probably never open up again.
And we think that stuff will be our savior.
And, and, and, and it's almost like we've created a depressing world for teenagers that you are your stuff.
So you need the latest iPhone or the latest, you know, this year's model, etc.
And we're missing out on the actual ways to be joyful in this world.
And consumption is a great hope to be enjoy. I'm going to get that new thing and then it's going to, damn it's it's going th it's going th it's going th it's going th it's going th it's going th it's going th it's going th.. It's going th. It's going th. It's going to be th. It's going to be th. It's going to be thi. It's going thi. It's that. It's going thi. It's going that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's that. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's th. It's thi. It's thi. It's going thi. It's going to to the. It's going to to the. It's going to the. It's going the. It's the. It's the the the the the the the. It's the. It's to to be joyful in this world. And consumption is a great hope to be in joy.
I'm gonna get that new thing and then it's gonna,
damn it, it's gonna be good.
But just living a joyful life is much different
and you don't need stuff to do that.
There's a, again, it's how you live with your stuff.
I'm not condemning stuff, but generally people are getting a little bit more conscious. It's not an over, there's a simplicity also. There's a joy in a simplicity of life. And you got to be careful how we live if you have children, because every child is taking notes.
Every child is taking notes how to behave, how to react, what to do with your spare time,
what to do with your spare money how you treat people how you
treat your partner people that you love and everybody's taking notes and then
we wonder why sometimes they grow up and hit our guts yeah yeah I completely
and utterly agree with that I think about my children I remember one time I'm'm like, you gotta learn to play the game to my four-year-old daughter. She's like
three at the time. She's like, I want to learn the game. I'm like, I love that. It was the best. It was the best. It was the best. So, you know, you go in there, you go in there, you go and you go and you go in to go in to go to go to go to go their, you go their, you know, you know, you know, their, their, their, their, their, their, the game, the game, the game, I the game, I the game, I the game, I'm, I the game, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I the game, I the game, I the game, I the game, I the game, I the game, I the game, I, I, I, you go, you go, you go, you go, you go, you go, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you know, you, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, the, the, the, the, the, I'm like, the, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, the, I'm like, I'm, I'm like, I'm, I'm, I'm, you know, are there some key experiences and account during that time
that you were a monk that kind of like resonated with you impacted your journey?
For sure, for sure. Again, all this stuff is detailed in my book, Punk to Monk, it's uh,
it's because I went when I was still incredibly crass and just like this dirt bag from the lower east side.
But so to juxtapose that and hang out with a bunch of saints or saints in training was
very difficult for me.
I struggled.
It wasn't like, oh, I'll just be a monk now.
It'll be everything will be wonderful.
You know, it's like I had to face off with a lot of my internal demons. But that was the thing we just mentioned. thiiiiiiiiii. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to just to just to just to just to just to just to just to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to just, to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thi, thi, thi, the, the. the. the. thean, thean, toe. Wea, to to to to to to just to just to just to just to just to just toe. toe. But that was the thing we just mentioned was the biggest thing how like, oh, wait a second,
you don't need stuff or savings to be happy to feel secure. And then again, we lean into
the quote savings, we clean into our stuff, we lean into our credit balance, we lean into our property.
These things that aren't us, their extensions of us, my career, my bank balance, the car I drive, my, th, th, my, my, th, my, th, th, my, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, their, their, th, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, things that aren't us. Their extensions of us.
My career, my bank balance, my the car I drive, my neighborhood I live in.
We lean into them as our identity.
And then we lose that identity oftentimes.
We lose our job.
We lose our home.
We lose our, you know, our bank balance or the stock market crashes or the currency crashes or whatever it is,
or we lose our beauty or we lose. For men, we lose our hair for women they age and wrinkle
and men age, we lose, we lose our beauty as we get older. And so when I invest in the stuff,
the accoutrements of the self as me, then I start to, start to suffer tremendously as, you know, the hands of time
starts stripping everything away from me.
And so that was a big lesson, like, oh, these guys have nothing.
They have no, like, how can they have an ego?
They're sleeping on the floor.
They're taking cold showers every morning. They're, you know, they wake up ridiculously early,
go to bed ridiculously early, their happiness must be coming from some other place.
And if I can learn to, if I can learn this little trick, if I can unbury that treasure, how great
will that be?
And that is sort of the real, these are like the, the coals we have to walk over
and the lessons we have to learn on a spiritual path. Can I be happy with nothing? And can I, can I,
can I maintain that sense of this stuff isn't mine anyway? All the stuff that I have is in
mine. It's all on loan to me for a few on loan to me for a few days even my own damn kids
They're on loan to me. I can't possess them. We think we can possess them then they turn 15 they give you the finger
They walk away and whatever it is we thought we own them and we don't all you can do is give some love while you're here and that love. that love that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th th th th th th th th. th. that's that's that's that's th. th. their their their thi thi thi thi thi their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they can't they can't they can't they can't they can't they can't they can't they can't they can't they can't they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they's they're their their their thu. thu. thu. thu. thu. theean. theauuu. theau. thii thi thi they're thi they're they're they're they. We take these things, we use them in a positive way, we have people coming to our life, we give them some love,
don't expect to possess anything in this world. Don't even expect to possess your own body.
Yeah, you're right. Fuck. Yeah, man, that's a very, very, very deep place to get to and it takes a long time to get there. It's difficult. Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's difficult. Yeah, that's difficult. Yeah, that's difficult. Yeah, that's difficult. Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the the the the the their their their their their their their their their their. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a that's a very. Yeah, that's a very. Yeah, that's a very. Yeah, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's a that's that's that's the that's a the the the the th. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, th. Yeah, man, that's a very, very, very, very deep, deep place to get to, and it takes a long time to get there.
It's difficult.
Yeah, that's difficult.
It's very difficult.
This, these are, these are, what we're saying, early before, these are, like the lessons
we got to learn in this life. And if you don't learn them, if you don't say, I understand, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I understand, I don't understand, I don't understand, I don't understand, I don't understand, I don't understand, I don't understand, I don't understand, I don't, I don't, I don't understand, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thin, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't know't, I don't know, I don't, I don't know, I that's, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't, I th. You know, people have, I mean, I had a, my son had a wood shop teacher who was incredible
craftsman.
One day he just sawed off his hand by mistake.
Oh, that's it.
Saw it off this whole damn.
What?
Oh.
Yes.
And so it's like, what do you do with that?
When you start to realize that, at any moment, the material world can start to lopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopopop the material the material world the material the material the material the material the material the material the material the material the the the the the the the material the material the material the material the material the material the material the material that at any moment the material world can start to lop or saw or clip anything.
I've seen people, you know, if you, you know, there's a time in the 90s where the currency of Brazil
just dropped in half overnight when currencies crash and people lose everything, hyperinflation
and all of a sudden all that they had, they can't even use anymore.
And there's countries that go through that all the time. And then th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. tho tho th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to that they had, they can't even use anymore. And there's countries that go through that all the time. And then these things that we base
our life on these foundational things, that these are pillars, this is our nation. And Rome also
falls. So these, and like, I can just go to Facebook when Facebook throws, hey, here's a picture of you eight years ago and you're like, what the hell happened to be? Oh, yeah, dude, yeah. It's like heart breaking.
But these are real things that we think we possess, that we think they're eternal and they're all temporary.
And all we can do is understand I'm here to use the stuff that's been given to me to give back and I'm here to give some love. That's what's all about right there dude. I totally agreed that man. That resignation is related
to this. Can I ask one question? And this is the typical Western question I
know but you hear about like Maharaji and these works that he could do, you know,
the they telepathy and things like that. Did you witness any kind thi thi thi thi thi thi thi that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's th. th. thi. the. the. the. the. the. the. that's that's that's that's that that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's could do, you know, about like telepathy and things like that. Did you witness any kind of, you know, mystical stuff when you were abroad?
I'm super curious about that.
Yes, I have.
What?
Would you share that?
I've met.
Please.
I've met people.
Mental telepathy is a common one.
In India, they call the city's they they call them Sidhys, S-I-D-H-S-I-D-D-H-I.
Sidhees means there's mystical perfections.
And some of the goals of the yoga system are to develop these mystical professions.
Now, I'm talking about Indian yoga.
I'm not talking about a yoga core power yoga, 14th Street or something.
I'm talking about the end of a lot of these systems of yoga are to developing some types of mystic perfections and there's eight major mystic perfections and there's many, many
sub-perfections of mystical powers.
One of them is called Tree Calagian.
It means to understand past, present and future.
And I met people who could look in your eyes and and
and share these things with you. Share all about your life. Share all about your past life.
She's all about your future life and tell you things about you that you have no clue about.
Then there's people, all these cities, these are what we would call like Christ miracles.
These were commonplace in India. Even when the British recorded
them when they went there, you know, 400 years ago, they were just 300 years ago, they were just like,
yeah, these guys could be buried himself underground for two weeks. And they recorded them in the British
newspapers. This guy went underwater for a couple of weeks. This guy would, this guy, we saw a person levitating and this person did. All these Christ-like-like. thei-like, thi-like, thi-like, thi-like, thi-like, we thi-like, we thi-like, we thi-like, we thi-like, we thi-like, thi-like, thi-like, thi-like, thi-like, thi-like, thi-a, thi-like, their-like, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi, thi, or thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. thi-a, th. th. thi-a, thi-a, thi-a, thi-a, thi-a, thi-w, thi-w, thi-wi-wi-wi-wi-wi-hea-wi-wi-wi-wi-wi. thriuui. they were, they were just, they were just, thri. thri-hea all these Christ-like miracles make healing the sick by touch you know having a person exercising
demons these were real things there's they're still there in India you can
find them it's just a little bit more covered because you can also find a
Starbucks in India but it's really there you just have to dig a little
deeper so when I take groups on pilgrimage, we always search out saints, mystics and spiritual
truth.
Now, of course, it's not like with Christianity, it's not the mysticisms that we love
about Jesus.
It's the teachings of Jesus that we fall in love with.
Forgive your neighbor and, you know, turn the other cheek and, you know, paths of renunciation
and love God with your heart, mind, and soul.
Those are the things we started to appreciate about the New Testament.
So in the same sense, the real connected people are not just connected with some...
How do you say this, just a mystical
perfection, but they're actually connected to source, to higher power, to God.
You know, just like Christ said, I'm seated at the right hand of the Father.
So there's a distinction between Christ and the Father.
There's a distinction between a master and God. All right, so those things still thi thi thi thi. So those thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, just just just just just just just just just just thi, thi, just thi, just thi, just a thi, just just a thi, just a thi, just a thi, just a thi, just a thi, just just just just a thi, just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just thi, just thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. Those thi. Those thi. Those thi. Those thiii. Those thiiiiiiiiii. Those thiiiiiii. thiii. So thiii. thiii. thii. thi. thi. thi. thi and the Father. There's a distinction between a master and God.
So those things still exist, and there's so many different ones that it would blow your mind.
Is there one that's most striking to you?
For whatever reason?
Comarupa?
You can change your form.
You've seen this though? That I haven't seen.
Okay.
What that you've seen that you've witnessed?
Is there anything?
Because those things to me, like, they're kind of meant to, you know, to kind of remove doubt
is how I see it.
It's like, you know, especially for people coming from our culture, you know, it gets right to you know it's clarifying it really gets right to the core of things. You know what what I find is even when people get shown things if people want to doubt they can doubt.
Yeah, I get that. You can see you believe it. That's also my belief. We're living around miracles all the time.
If you look there is nothing ordinary in this world in nature you can look at that I believe. You poke, you could pick out a blade of grass and it is
incredibly fascinating. It's fascinating to look, the texture, how it can, it nourishes or regenerates
itself. There's got veins, you put it under a microscope and it's even more fascinating.
It's like a Fibonacci spiral of fantastic works of art. And then you can zoom out and look at a field
from outer space and that looks fascinating.
And so there's miracles happening right in front of us
and if you don't want to see them,
you don't have to also.
I'm looking at the grains of wood in my desk.
And it's like a work of art.
And so many people just say,
that's a thing where people say, that's the thing. Or people say, people do something miraculously, a big deal. I just make it up, who cares?
You know, people can, either the world is a miraculous place
or it's a completely mundane place.
You can see it in different ways.
Right. It's so weird how like some people just,
for some reason, they just don't want to see the miracle that is our existence. And they just want to believe we're just monkeys and shoes on a rock curling through space
and nothing else matters.
And it's so crazy to me.
So when you start a punk rock band with the monks, what was that pitch?
That was a little bit peculiar.
And I think historically it was the first time in human history there was a celibate rock
band in the history of rock and roll.
I just want a groupie and I can't.
That must have been sad.
Well, what you did was you took that bubble of consciousness that you created in an ashram. And he said, we're going to take this bubble and we're going to take it on the road.
And because I was a touring musician for years, I was like, I know how to do this.
I know how to take it on the road, and I know what the pitfalls are.
Oftentimes the pitfalls are the company we keep.
Sometimes it could be a weakness of our senses.
One of the wandering senses could take us down a slippery slope.
Sometimes it's the food we eat because the food affects our consciousness.
That's a very, very real principle in Eastern spiritual thought.
The food you consume affects the mind.
And so we would only eat our, We would never eat at, you know,
we don't get a bag of potato chips, we don't get it. We cook our own food wherever we go.
And we keep a very, very tight seal on taking other people's influence and just living within our own influence.
And it became very powerful. And it became a, and, and, and, and and and and but you might ask the
next question perhaps like well how did you meditate if you're playing these
shows late at night we'd step even later we'd step after the shows the show
ends at midnight or what we step even later to those early hours because there's
something magical in early hours of the morning that's ideal for yogis and meditation and
chanting.
But after being so tired, isn't it meditating like kind of, I think I would just pass out,
how do you, yeah.
We had to just adjust the schedule, so now we were on a late night program for a two,
three months or something like that.
But then we'd refresh it and we say, you know what, now let's pack it up, let's go to India
and go on pilgrimage.
And that's how we'd balance the chaos of the Western world is we'd go to these remote places
in India, a remote villages in India where we could get grounded again.
And then we'd go out and do it again.
It was a very interesting experiment. It's crazy to me. It's crazy. It was crazy. It was crazy. It was a little crazy.
Can you discuss with us your current yoga practice?
Sure. A lot of times when we study yoga from the West, it's a, the condiment is considered the meal.
For example, sea salt is a condiment, right? Seasalt is a condiment. If I say, hey, Sam come
over for lunch, we're having a sea salt, you're like, what? But the condiment in yoga is yoga asinus.
So for years I did a very, very strong yoga aasna practice,
but it also went hand in hand with a strong meditational practice.
As the body ages, you have to find stuff
that works better with your body.
People get caught up on, no, this is the way to the enlightenment.
I'm just going to do yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga yoga the yoga the way to the enlightenment I'm just going to do yoga every day it's just not true a physical yoga practice. Why? Because it's called repetitive stress injury. You do the
same thing every day come on. We know that if you're doing basketball or golf you're going
to get golfers elbow, tennis elbow. So you have to be quote flexible in your consciousness.
The meal of the condiment is a shifting of the consciousness.
So the foundational things like meditation, those never change.
Those are always there. You do them when you're a kid.
You do them when you're an old man or old lady.
And you start to shift the way you think, the way you treat yourself,
the way you treat your body, the way you treat other people.
And that starts to become the, and you, and you part of something bigger so my yoga practice now really involves a more meditational
practice where I'm imbibing wisdom literature on a regular basis I have a
deep chanting meditational practice and physical practice it comes it comes and goes
but it's not like every day because it's it's it's secondary it's it's again
it's like a condiment the end game is more where I'm going than then then
then just to be incredibly you know have a great backbend after a while
yeah oftentimes it can just lead to another ego trip here's a picture of me. here's a picture of me Oftentimes it can just lead to another ego trip.
Here's a picture of me dropping back from a hand, you know. I did, I can do all this stuff.
I can still do handstands. If you tell me to do handstand now, I can do it. You know, but it's not the
main focus of, you know, it's not the, it's not the touchdown I'm looking for.
I love that.
So, so, it's still fun.
I still do it.
But it's just not, not as like, I did it in my 30s and even early 40s.
Yeah, to me, it's also the journey of like, of just learning is more important
than the destination.
And I do believe that it is a big problem with modern culture right now.
It's too much set on how quickly can I get to the destination instead of, what have I learned
on the way?
And, you know, it's like like there's a blessing and a
curse that comes to getting fame or your goals very quickly because you don't
appreciate them because it seems like you're the chosen one in reality you don't
understand how many amazing things had to conspire to come to allow you to achieve whatever
this amazing moment was a,
let's just say, you're a Tick-Tock celebrity now and you're selling out everywhere you go.
You don't realize like how many things had to come together to make that happen.
And you don't appreciate it because you think you're owed it because you're some kind of chosen person. Where somebody along the line who, let's say instead
to make it in six months on Tick-Tock, makes it in six years or 10 years or 15 years,
they have a real appreciation of every moment of that journey. And I think that is what, to me,
is what it's all about is the understanding and the journey and helping people who are on the journey as well learn from what you've learned. I think that's
very important and which is my last I have two more questions for them we'll
let you go. What is what is your advice to people that any individual
navigating their own journey of self-discovering transformation?
Say it again?
Okay.
What advice would you give to individuals navigating their own journey of self-discovery and transformation?
Okay, that's a good question.
Um,
A lot of times when we get fed up with the world that we're living and say,
I want to be a completely different person, we sometimes bite off more than we'd chew.
So I'd say, work in small increments, and say, you know what, I've got an hour in
the morning before I got to do with anything. I'm going to take that hour and I'm going to add some chanting of Joppa or add some meditation,
or reading sacred literature or wisdom literature from whatever, you know, everyone's got a different
people slant towards the Bible or the Quran or the Bhagabigita or the Big Book or whatever it is. Find some wisdom literature that's going to change you that you that you that you that you that you to to th th th th th th th th th th thi to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to their their to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to thi I I'm thi I'm thi I'm th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tham tham tham tham thi thin thin thin thin thin thin tho tho thin thooo thoooooooan thoan thoan thoan to to to thoan to to thoan that thoo tho the big book or whatever it is, find some wisdom literature that's
going to change you that you can inspire by and just say this is my time with, you know,
I first start off with just doing some sitting and breathing and grounding yourself and then
just bowing down and saying, however you call your higher power, higher power, God, I say Krishna.
Krishna, I say Krishna from this day on I'm, from this day on I'm yours.
What would you like for me today? That declaration too, I'm turning my will, my life, over to you.
I've been using everything I got my money, my thoughts, my ideas, my charisma. I've been using it to manipulate the world for my benefit.
But now, everything I have, what would you like for me today?
And when I say that prayer in the morning, it changes my whole day because I realize that
anything that gets pitched at me is for my benefit.
Meaning if there's some loss, if there's some pain, if there's some betrayal,
if there's some heartbreak, or if there's some wealth or good fortune or lots of love, all
of it is for my benefit. Now, whatever is coming my way, I accept that I'm going to be, I'm
riding a shotgun and you're just going to drive this vehicle and I'm yours today. And it sounds sort of silly and it's like, come out a to to th. to th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I thi. I thi. I thi. I's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. theeeee. It's, theeea. It's theee. It's thee. It's thi. the like, come on, it's just a prayer. For me, it really works.
It really works just to turn my life over on a regular basis
and sometimes many times a day.
And then I'll take in some sacred literature.
I also take care of my body every day, you know,
and I think that's important,
whether it's like a sauna or a cold jump into my pond or some type of physical fitness or yoga or something
like that or long walks or bike rides or stuff like that.
So I think that's important too.
My podcast is a study of wisdom literature so every morning for about an hour I do that every
day and and that's it's nice it's interactive but still I go oh and I do some other
rituals and stuff like that I'm not going to get into but yeah I have a whole
morning thing that goes on and I think that's important it's very important those rituals
those rituals to sort of take you to zoom you out of your temporary self and see
yourself as an eternal self I think that's important because we get caught up
in the in what's from front of our face and don't see the bigger picture and
I think that's important to do on a regular basis to just have a little
bit sanity or clarity and recalibrate don't you? Yeah I I try. Every day I wake up, I pray. I do a gratitude list, I do a goals list, and I try to like, you know, and one of it is
to help others, you know, that's a big thing.
So we're, 2024 is a very interesting time and it's a very interesting time.
And it's a very interesting time.
What are your thoughts for the rest of the year?
We were at what to keep doing exactly what I'm doing for the rest of the year.
And I'm going to do that for the rest of my life.
And you know what?
The world's going to prosper and grow and the world's going to fall apart.
And there's going to be explosions.
There's going to be a lot of great great their are going to come together and people are going to stab each other in the neck and I'm just going to keep
on doing what I'm doing because that is the nature of the material world.
It's not just like everybody's crazy now.
The world's been crazy historically.
There's always been insanity, there's always been completely ruthless people, horrific things. Sometimes we like to the time when everyone's there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there's their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is their is th. I is th. I is th. I is th. I is th. I is th. I is th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi is is is is thi is thi is thi is thi is thi is thi is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I is thi. I was to th. I'm toe. I'm toe. I'm toe. I'm to to toe. I'm to to to to to to to to thi. I'm thi. doing horrific things.
Sometimes we like to think of like, no, there was a time and everyone was peaceful and everything
was organic.
I got news for you.
People have been doing horrible things forever.
And people have been doing wonderful things forever.
And wonderful things don't sell as much on algorithms and getting click bait and stuff
like that.
There's so much love going on in this world as well.
You don't hear about it.
We're hearing about there's a riot in the today.
There's like, yeah, every things.
There's a riot in Columbia University.
There's a lot of love going on in New York City as well today.
So it's one of these things that there's always going to be always always always always always always to be to be to be to be to going to be heaven hell. There's always going to be change of seasons. That's, if you're an abundance today, expect to lose it tomorrow.
And if you're in, if you're in destitution today, expect some gain tomorrow.
Because whenever there's change of seasons, it's predictable.
It's just around the bend.
Just around the ben,
the bend, here comes winter. And so all we have to do, or all I have to do is try to be steady in the ups and the downs and the good or the bad.
And steady means in my lifestyle, in my mind, in the way I treat myself, the way I treat
others, my self-care and my care for other people and to give that love. Because one day, it's just going to be like today's last day of your life.
It's just going to happen.
The plane's going to go down, the sinkhole is going to happen.
You know, you're going to step on the rake and it's going to smack me in the skull.
Something's going to happen.
And I just want to exude that love 24-7.
I want that to be on my downtime, on my focus time.
When I'm not thinking about anything, I want that love to exude from me.
And then there's evolution in life.
And there's evolution in the day to day, but there's evolution in the next life.
the next lives, then at least you're living this life.
I love it, man. I just wanted you to know I just bought your book.
Thank you, my friend.
And so, and they're recommending me, uh, if people buying your book, people have also
bought dog the Bonnie Hunter's book.
So, um, it's great.
And I, like, I just have one, tooto one final thing and this will be really easy for you to answer I think.
When I encounter people who are into the Christian movement, you know, even on the streets,
they all have a way of speaking, a really, like positive regard is what you feel from them.
It's kind of a term they use in psychology, but it, but, you know, there's not a,
it's a simple way of speaking.
It's direct, you know, they look you in the eye, but it's very,
it's a very similarly positive way of speaking.
Do you know what I'm saying? And then what do you, what is that? What do you think that is? I don't I've just th just th just th just th just th just th just th just th just just th just just just just just just th just th just th just th just thi I've just thi I've just thi I've just thi I've just th. I've just th. I've just th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. th. that's th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. the. thi. th. th. th. thi. th. th. th. that? What do you think that is? I've just noticed, I've seen it everywhere, everyone who I've encountered who's really
studied and gone deep with that speaks in a similar way to me.
I think, Johnny, that it's a, we've created a culture where we've taken away people's
hope.
We've taken away people's hope. We've taken away purpose. We've taken away people's hope. We've taken away people's hope, we've taken away purpose, we've taken away ideals, we see that there is no right and wrong, and I'm
here to say there is. There's things you can do that are definitively wrong.
There's things you can do that are definitively right. There is a purpose, there is an order, there is a reason why we're here. And when you when you just just say th you just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just just to say to say to say th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the th. the the the th. the th. the the the the they. their their their their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. too. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the is an order, there is a reason why we're here.
And when you just say, it's just whatever you want.
I mean, can you live that philosophy and feel good about life?
You're saying Adolf Hitler, human trafficking, child pornography, you're saying that is a great
thing because that's what your philosophy is espousing that, anything goes?
Give me a break. Who can live by that and feel good about themselves?
You develop worth in your life.
You develop connection and worth and integrity.
By doing worthy things, by living an integrity-driven life.
And not just by just, anything goes.
Give me a break.
No one can live by that. So I think when a person, when they're on a spiritual journey, they're going to have a bit
of groundedness, a bit of hope, a bit of a positive mental attitude, I think that just goes hand
in hand with it. But when you say, you know, we're just going to live and flap
around, do whatever you want, whatever feels good, just consume whatever you want. And no one's gonna walk away from that with a smile on their face.
It's gonna be doom and gloom.
Right on.
Great final thing is, can you just one more time, tell them where they can find you.
Sure.
Our podcast is called Wisdom of the Sages.
My, uh, my, where there do we go, my, there we go,
there we go, wisdom of the sages.

Let's go. to yoga. try. to you. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I think we should do a three-way, like all three of us do a hot yoga session.
I do yoga. I like yoga. Terrible idea. Have you ever done yoga? Like, actually?
I've done yoga, like really like Faroe, because I like the sauna. So I've done hot yoga and that's intense. It's hot. It's too much. It's not for me either. I've done yoga. Yeah, it hurts. It's not for me. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I th. I th. I th. I th. I've th. I've th. I've to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to do. I've th. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've to do. I've th. I've th. I've th. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I have. I. I. I have. I have. I. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've th. I've t. I've t. I've tode. I've toda. I've toda. I've toda. I've toda. I've toda. I've to toda. I've toda. I've today. I've today. I like try to like yoga it hurts no it hurts no I mean I'd rather
just I'd rather keep my you know the spiritual here and the stretching over
with the stretching stretch I like to stretch before a workout I don't want
stretching to be the workout if that makes sense but more meditation
Johnny just that's what I mean yeah I'd separate the meditation from the yoga I just meditate yoga for me is just like I even my doctor to the to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the to the to the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the. the. the. the. thee. theeeeeee. theeeeeeeeee. toe. toe. toe. they. I. I's. I's. I's. I's. I'm the yoga. I just meditate yoga for me is just like
I and maybe even my doctor was like yeah you probably because it jacked up my
back when I was doing he's like yeah don't do that. It sounds like that's what
my doctor always tells me I'm like yeah you know it hurts when I do this
and he goes oh stop doing that he's one of these kind of you have a
you have a bad back? It was it was I was from overuse I was doing a lot work it was when we
did that workout channel or I did that workout challenge and you quit last
year and I was I was we were doing 90 minutes a day remember and my back
just completely gave out about halfway through that from overuse
so you have a bad back X she has bad knees and I have heavy legs nobody's
nobody's doing well on this show.
My back's better now though, it doesn't hurt anymore, but it was bad for well.
So, so Johnny, do you think that any Christians would be upset with this show?
Yeah, of course they will. Yeah. Why? Why? Why? Yeah, well it's just a different, I mean I can just
tell you coming from, there are certain,
there are certain branches of modern Christianity, especially in this country, that don't
have a tolerance for other beliefs.
And I don't mean tolerance, like they're going out and try to eliminate people, but
they just don't agree.
My biggest problem with that statement is that it makes it sound like it's exclusive itto Christianity and I just don't see you just ask me if Christians are going to
have a problem with it and I'm answering it and I'm answering from my
perspective because I know those I'm not a Muslim I could say I'm sure yeah
of course the Muslims but you think there's a lot of hardcore Muslims
probably not right I think there are some Muslims but in hardcore Jews and some Christian but I think every every there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there the the their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they. they. I they. I th is just just just just just just just just th is thi thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I thi. I'm just just just. I'm just. I'm just thi. I'm just thi. I'm just just thi. I'm just just just thithere are some Muslims. But hardcore like Jews and some Christian, but I think every every group definitely has this kind of hardcore element.
Yeah, but you see it in the comments all the time, like people saying we're not getting it quite right, you know, and they have a problem, you know, actually Jesus said this. I love Jesus. Have you seen the live comments from yesterday about you talking about mysticismism and stuff? There's a bunch of them like from Christian saying say say, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't they don't, they don't they don't they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't, they don't they don't they don't they don't th-j-ju. I thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi they don't they don't they don't thi love Jesus, Johnny. Have you seen the live comments from yesterday about you talking about mysticism and stuff?
There's a bunch of them, like, from Christian saying, no, Sam, you can't do that.
That's sorcery.
It's forbidden in the Bible.
Of course, my response to that is Jesus.
I just, I can't, I have to have my mind to open to that is Jesus said in the Bible that if you have faith you will be able to do works like he did, miracles, which at the time we're called sorcery.
So what's it, you know, it's a fine line we're walking there.
Yeah, I agree, I agree.
And that is love.
Maybe don't hurt me.
Don't hurt me.
No more.
So Johnny, Xavier, when are you going to India?
When I get citizenship, what am I going to just go and not come back? Dude, I'm afraid of getting travelers diarrhea in India, honestly.
You're so afraid to poop. You really are. No, but seriously, I know a lot of people like I, there's the stories of people who just died. They got such bad diarrhea. They just went to India and died. The real thing.
And I got to give it to him. He went back in like the tough times. Me and Johnny we would
Facebook someone. We would get a travel agent. We'd show up. Yeah, I have an Airbnb over there.
For sure. Yeah, we do it right. He did it like he literally said he sent a postcard. He said I want to sign up to your to sign up to sign up to sign up to sign up to sign up to sign up to sign up to sign up to sign up to to to to to to to to to to their. to to their. to their. to to their. to to to to to to their. their. to to to to to to to to to their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. tou. t. t. t. t. t. tou. t. t. t. t. their. their guy though. Do you remember bands like that Sam? During that time when it was straight edge, kind of like that stuff?
I was, I'm gonna be honest you, I was a big punk rock guy.
I was into rap and heavy metal.
Those were my bands.
You know, guns and roses, run DMC, all that shit.
That was my jammed dude. That's why I enjoyed.
But I do find it that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that would be that would be that shit that that was my jam dude. That's why I enjoyed But I do find it that would be hilarious to go on the road be a giant band and just totally be sell a bit be like nope
No fun for you groupies sorry about that
killing it. That's funny. I gotta go back. I go back and do yoga back to the trailer. Sorry, can't hit it, can't stack you and your friends. It's not happening.
Okay, I know you would love it, but we can't do it.
Well, I mean, you gotta think about it.
How many girl monks is there?
I don't know if there's any, uh, is there?
Is there?
Is that the thing?
Can theythey make? Johnny, look up. Are there women monks? Are they a lady monks? Are they a lot of meditative?
Yeah, of course they're, they're their monkats is what they call.
The monk cats?
I'm just like me.
Yeah, no, they're, yeah, there are people who are female.
Yeah, I don't know if in like, bouded.
Yeah, I don't know if in, in, in, in, seen like women with their head shaved for sure, especially the Hired Christian stuff. I've seen them around. Right? Are you into shaved head women? Let's
see, this woman, Judy Hagar, if you got a beautiful face, it plays no matter what your hair
looks like, I am a female Buddhist monk, I live in the U.S., I became a Buddhist monk without having a plan to do so. So yeah, she's a Buddhist monk I. There's, so. So, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's, she's a th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeei. theei. theeeeeeeeei. the. th., I mean, I'm sure there are like, you know, places you couldn't go as, you know,
and it's like study or whatever.
I don't know.
Let's see, Thailand's rebel female Buddhist monks defy tradition.
So yeah, it sounds like it depends on where you go.
Yeah, it sounds like where you can't do it. It says in Buddhism, women blaze a path, but strive for gender equity.
So they're striving all over the world.
So much striving.
Yeah.
Everybody's just strived no matter what the guy.
Yeah, you're right.
But I just don't know how you can hear that guy we just heard and not, and just be like, nah, that guy's going to hell. You know what I mean? That is pretty accurate. I don't believe that, but everyone's allowed to believe what they want.
No, of course they are.
Of course they are.
But, you know, I believe what I believe and my belief is love.
Just love everybody and it will all work out.
Can I tell you, can I just say really quickly though, when I was a kid. What they would do for us instead of going to haunted houses was we would go to a place where they had recreated a violent car crash.
So you had people bleeding in the street, head wounds, organs are out, and then you would
go from there to their afterlife where they're burning in hell and it would just be the horror,
they'd be like the devil.
Wow. And that's how they would scare us as kids instead of haunted houses because they didn't they didn't, they didn't, they they they they they they they they they they they thied, thed, thed, thed, thed, thed, thed, thed, themed, themed, themed, themed, themed, themed, themed, themed. the, themed, themed, themed, themed, themed, thoed. And, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, themed. themed. themed. themed. And, themed. And, themed. And, themed. And, themed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, thed. And, toed. And, toed.ed.ed.ed. toed. toed. toed. toed. toed. toed. toed. thed. thed. thed. thed how they would scare us as kids instead of haunted houses because they didn't believe in Halloween. They would just recreate a violent car crash and show you hell.
And yeah, I mean, that's the, a lot of people grew up with that and they're scared of hell
more than they're looking forward to heaven.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, you're right.
You're more scared to go, you're more scared of hell than you than, want to go to heaven. No really I mean that's how and they and they say and their reasoning for that is whatever it
takes to get people converted man whatever it takes and I don't know I mean
I it's the more the older I get the more I get into the Rob Bell that book I
gave you Sam like I think it's a wider gate. Well we realize, I hope it, even though it's not. I think it's a wider gate.
Well now that's not what the Bible specifically says, you know, narrow is the way, but I
just I don't know, I just like to look at what Jesus said and he seems to, I don't know,
like, it's difficult, it's difficult subject.
And you also have to think about it. He saw people that were like, that have nothing be happy. That's kind of crazy. That's why I mean much change things.
This is from the Bible, this is from Matthew. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction.

Here's a clip from the latest broken sim. Speaking of old head selling out,
Howard Stern had on Joe Biden, so just clean out his assuant. Does it look like
Jeff Dunnett's puppet? I mean it's crazy. It's so bad. He's got Kenny Rogers Chinese eyes. It's Botox yeah for sure. I mean it's just not good. And he's got that far away that's that's so that's so bad that that that that that that that that th. that th. th. that th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. the their their their their their their th. their their their their their their their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their their their th. th. th. th. th. t. t. t. t. today. today. today. today. today. today. today. th.'s just not good. And he's got that faraway glazed look in his eyes.
Well, his face is puffy, which makes it look like a fucking mask.
You're a Chinese, yeah.
He looks like that looks like clone Biden.
It does.
And it's funny.
I tweeted because Howard Stern, if you listen the whole interview does most of the talking which is a great strategy for them just putting Biden on shows where he doesn't have to talk. 100% I want to thank you for doing this today I want to thank you for your
compassion. You know I love to the reason I'm so excited to talk to you was
because I wanted to understand the tragedy in your life how you dealt with it
and you're the kind of leader and you the the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind the leader and the kind the kind the leader and you the kind the kind the kind the leader and you're the kind the kind the kind the kind the leader and you're the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind the kind th the Oval Office. And serving as the father. Did he say why, he didn't say why he loves him as a leader?
He just moved on from that.
He just moved on from that.
Listen to what he calls him here, this is great.
Office, and serving as the father of the country,
because if you're a good father, you are.
I know you be a good father. Literally, dude, literally his daughter, he showered with.
His son is a crackhead.
And like, dude, this coming from a fucking meth head, okay?
Like, dude, and the guy banged his dead brother's kids, allegedly.
I mean, like, what are we talking about here?
What are we talking about?
And like, I don't expect, listen, listen, like,
like it gets really weird when we expect the old guys to be the leading the charge. They're
not meant to lead the charge. What's meant is someone's meant to be even more outrageous than
stern. But they could be consistent ideological. No, I agree.
You know, he's not even been consistent.
I'll just let's play a little more.
And I want to thank you for providing a calming influence.
An organized administration post-Covid, getting that vaccine out.
I remember what the world was like at that point, getting NATO, getting us to feel
comfortable.
How does he remember what the world was like when he was just in his basement the whole time? Both standing up to Putin, the incredible large growth in the jobs, unemployment rate down,
I'll give you your greatest tits.
The lowest uninsured rate in history, four out of five Americans are covered for less than
$10.
That's insane!
This is insane!
This is insane! This is insane! This is insane! This is how marijuana in the war fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight fight. It's their their the emissions in half? I mean you've always been an environmentalist. This is insane is Howard Stern.
Oh, I can we see you tits.
They're fighting that battle. Respect for Marriage Act. What the hell is with
people with this gay stuff? Who cares if someone's gay? How is it affecting
anybody? People in love, it's good. Love is good.
Clearly coordinated by this. This is clearly arranged. Well, I mean like thatthat hot black chick that used to be on Sage Stone or something.
Stage Steel was like it was completely scripted.
Yeah, oh of course yeah and you can you can tell because Stern stops talking right there and then
let's him go and listen to him.
He saw two men kissing one another.
I was going in and got a license. I looked at him he said Joey it simple. They love That's to th th th th th th that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's to the that's that's that's that's they. that's they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. to they. to to to to to to to to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. to be. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. th. th. th. th. th. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. that's. they. they. they. they. they. the simple. They love each other. That's it. That's how I look at it. I mean
dude what this guy used to do to the gays. This is my problem. Yeah yeah yeah
stop shutting a door behind you. Stop shutting the door behind you. That was just terrible for stern.
Well stern doesn't care. There's no metrics anymore for him. He just wants money. Yeah, he's. There's no man. Dude, they
don't know the ratings. That's why like when they come out, they're like 14 million
people watch a woman's basketball game. Show me how you got that number. Show me how you got that number. Dude, dude, I know guys who had shows on serious. They don't, th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th is th is thi. th is th is th is thi th is thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi that is that is that is that is that is th. Dude, th. Dude, th. Dude, they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're th. Dude, that. Dude, that. Dude, thi. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. they don't theyld their numbers because they don't know the numbers.
They don't know.
Netflix does the same thing, yeah.
They don't know the Netflix is a little different because they won't tell you, they won't
show you the people who have shows there.
But it's different though.
There's no way in serious radio radio, they can't do that. Netflix can be-
Well, on radio, they would have this thing that would drive around and like detect how many
were tuned and it was so in act, I mean, yeah.
They're made up numbers.
And then Nielsen was just people with diaries.
Remember the Mindy project just kept getting renewed?
And you didn't know you say that. And what do you know?
The whole industry is collapsing.
They're not making any money.
Yeah, well, because you're running out the creative people.
That's why.
You're running out.
Because.
Well, and also advertisers, see, here's who does know the numbers.
It's the fucking advertisers. And when they they they they they're not they're not they're not they're not they're not. they're they're they're they're not. they're they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're not. they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they're. they're. they're. they're. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. billed for, they pull their money out of that shit. They go on shit with podcasting.
Yep, yep, it happens, dude.
And that's why, that's why this whole thing is a charade.
The, the, the, they were, they had it easy when you had to watch them.
They were, they had it easy when you had to watch them. their their their their their their their, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th.... Yeah, th, th, th, th, that, that, that, that, yeah, that, yeah, that, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, five times a year and you'd watch it. Yeah because there's no other entertainment
and now there's so much it's like you can't tell me dude that you are people
are watching women's basketball when the internet is on fire okay because the
kids aren't watching like a lot of the kids the NBA actually is the
best for kids and still nobody's watching because the game sucked. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th th. th is th is the the the's the's the's thea thea thea. thea. thea's thea's threatea. thea's theats. theats. thea's thea's the. the. the. the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the's the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the is the an the an the an the an threate an threate an the an the an threate an the an threate the an the a the a thea thea th kids, the NBA actually is the best for kids and still nobody's watching because
the game sucked. The reason people are liking this playoffs is because they're fucking
physical. Like people miss that basketball. Right? That's what they fucking want. And then the
right? So, but Stern doesn't care because he knows, they can't, they don't know who's listening. To give equal time now, we're going to talk about Dick Gregory and what he had to say to say to say to say to say to say to say the game the game the game the game the game the game they they the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game the game. the game. the game. the game. the game. the game. the game. the game. the game. the game. their. their. their. their. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. they. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the they can't, they don't know who's listening.
To give equal time now, we're going to talk about Dick Gregory and what he had to say
about President Trump.
Did you see this?
Is Dick Gregory still live?
Watch it here.
Yeah.
The one time Trump lost, he said it was rigged.
Hmm.
The one in the red tie two trumps.
Okay.
The one in the red tie is the real one.
The one in the blue tie is not.
The one you saw last night after the victory was the blue tie.
Now if you would punch up, Dr. Carson, then Carson, when Trump called him a pedophile, and the next day he joined Trump.
And the guy asked him, see every night and then you slip and say that, he said,
why'd you do that? He said, there's two Trumps.
I was with the good one.
You see it there.
Just just punch up, uh, uh, when somebody interviewed him, he said,
there's two Donald Trumps.
That's easy.
Now, Dick, you'll be dead not long after this.
Oh, he died in 2017, which this had to be right over like 2016,
if not going in it's, yeah, probably in the 2016.
So fascinating. What do you think about that?
Red, tie, blue tie,ie Donald Trump is he a clone does he have a clone that would explain how you play
so much golf and still gets less shit I'm telling you bro who out you know
what else I think is
we go deep home boy
open your mind drink from the fountain of knowledge
there's lizard people everywhere.
