Starting point is 00:00:00 Who's this? This is Matt. And we're calling him a bit early, so he might be not expecting it. Hello? Hi, is this Matt? Who is this? It's Tony and Ryan from the podcast Tony and Ryan. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Oh, my God, Matt. I'm sorry we've called you early. Sorry to surprise you and shock you. No, sorry. No, I wasn't expecting this. I'm so sorry. Oh my God, Matt. You sounded so scary. And it is our fault. It sounded like you thought we were the cops.
Starting point is 00:00:36 No, no. I just said no. I was totally surprised. I'm so sorry. No, it's actually fine. But you were like, who's this? I was like, I'm so sorry. What details do you want? No, I will not fine, but you're like, who's this? I was like, I'm so sorry. What details do you want? No, I will not get my inheritance from Nigeria. Oh, oh, God. Oh, hi.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Hi. Well, I know you weren't expecting it, but do you mind approving the podcast? Yeah. Yeah. Sorry, no, but not having a heart attack anymore. Yes, I would gladly approve the podcast. Medical assistance to Matt's house, please. Hey, it's Matt from Mount Jury, Pennsylvania, and I approve approved podcast. Medical assistance to Matt's house, please. Hey, it's Matt from Mountry, Pennsylvania, and I approve this podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Welcome to the Tony and Ryan podcast. My name is Ryan, Vice Captain of the ship. Our queen, Tony Lodge, is here. Welcome. Hi. Thanks for having me. Like a guest on the podcast? Welcome. Thank you so much for having me.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Would you like to have the Tony Lodge show where you're the guest each week? The Tony Lodge show? Yeah. Wouldn't that mean I'm the host each week? Like Ellen wasn't the guest each week. No, it's like people rotate hosting you. Oh. So it's like, hi, I'm blah, blah, blah, and this week Tony Lodge.
Starting point is 00:01:51 But I don't want to work with anyone that's not you. Yeah. That's beautiful. Like I don't want to just some random person. Yeah, you're right. Random people are strange. Yeah. Then you have to make small talk.
Starting point is 00:02:06 You can't just wander in here because we're past that. And you ask those same questions. How's your weekend been? Yeah. It's Tuesday. Yeah. Yeah. Like, awkward.
Starting point is 00:02:16 I don't want to do that. Well, you're about to find out what kind of person Tony is around a new person. And I actually need your help. I need your help. I need your help. I'm collected is what I've heard. No, I wouldn't have thought so. I need your help. Cool, calm and collected is what I've heard. No, I wouldn't have thought so.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I need your help. Is this a compliment or is this creepy and embarrassing? Tony rolls into my place the other day. It's not creepy, okay? I think it's normal. Creepy or compliment. It's almost a normal enough, but I'm going to call it creepy or compliment.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Tony rolls into my place the other day with this new watch band for Apple Watch. And how would we describe it? It is awesome. I love it so much. I think it's so cool. It's kind of a clear see-through thing and it's full of like glitter and it's shiny and there's a lot going on, right? But it's like it's very – I'm a very plain person. That's why I was like, ooh, what's going on here?
Starting point is 00:03:10 What's this all about? This is very un-Tony. Isn't this so cool? And you were like, oh, did you bring another one? I said I got this really cool watch band and you said, oh, is it different to this one? I thought it was really cool. And even though it sounds really Gordian over the top because it's like clear
Starting point is 00:03:24 with glitter in it, it's actually very plain. It is. Well, the see-throughness kind of. Yeah, because glitter makes it just sound like over the top. Is there another word for see-through? Translucent. Like your glasses now are kind of, you just remind yourself which ones you're wearing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:42 I was just like, hang on. Because that's like a thing now. It's sort of like, it's not, it's like the opposite of making a statement. It's like we're just trying to blend in. And that's my whole thing. Yeah. My whole thing is just that it's plain. That's maybe why I was surprised by the glitter, to be honest.
Starting point is 00:03:53 But I thought that if it was just a clear band with nothing in it. Gotcha. It would look like a G-Shock watch. Yeah. You remember those old like baby G watches? Awesome. Now I've made. How do you think that that's awesome, but this awesome watch that I got you don't like?
Starting point is 00:04:09 No, no, I'm fine with the watch. It's just how you decided to purchase the watch that is the creepy or cringe. And I've written some notes here because I didn't want to misquote you of what you said. Tony says, remember when we met that cool hot girl a few weeks ago and I want to be cool and hot like her so I bought one because that's what she was wearing. Does that sound accurate? I probably would have said hot and cool, not cool and hot, but yes, go on.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Yeah, sorry. Sorry, I'm no Katy Perry lyricist. I kissed a girl and I liked it yes, go on. Yeah, it was on the tongue, right. Yeah, sorry. Sorry, I'm no Katy Perry lyricist. I kissed a girl and I liked it. You're hot. See, that was it. I would have thought it was hot. That's way funnier. Yeah, and relevant.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Yeah. Remember that hot, cool girl we met a few weeks ago? Well, she had this watch and I want to be hot and cool like her, so I bought one because I like her. So we're talking about our mate Sarah and I was like, oh, we should let Sarah know how much of an influence she was on you. Again, we've met her once, twice. So I send a message.
Starting point is 00:05:19 We got along really well. Oh, yeah. Like she was great. Yeah. Though at the end of when we were meeting her, I probably did come on a bit strong because I was like, oh, my God, let's follow each other on Instagram. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:05:31 The girls, I mean, even if you wanted that and meant that, I would never be like, oh, we should follow each other. I thought that that would be a hot and cool thing to do. But wouldn't hot and cool just be like, oh, whatever? Can I give a little bit of context though? It's much funnier without it. No, because the night before we were't hot and cool just be like, oh, whatever? Can I give a little bit of context, though? No, it's much funnier without it. No, because the night before we were talking about how hard it is to make friends as an adult.
Starting point is 00:05:51 You were coming on strong. Fuck off. It's hard to make friends, isn't it? If only, like, the two of us could just do a way where we could become friends as adults. So because I was saying that I've obviously moved to Melbourne, like, four years ago or whatever. She's only lived in Sydney for, like, a year.
Starting point is 00:06:04 She's from the Gold Coast. So we're both talking about like moving. She stalked her LinkedIn profile as well apparently. She told me. Yeah, righto. Sarah, if you listen. What's her mum's maiden name? What do you want to hack into her MySpace?
Starting point is 00:06:18 I'm just assuming you knew. So you've had a big chat. So we were talking about like how hard it is to make friends. We got along really well. So it felt kind of, I just want to make myself sound a little bit less crazy if possible. So it kind of was like the natural progression of the conversation to be like we got along well.
Starting point is 00:06:33 We're friends. Let's follow each other on IG. And did you? Yes. Oh, very cute. Yes. Very cute. So I decided to send Sarah a video message when Tony's at my house,
Starting point is 00:06:46 just saying, hey, Sarah, check out Tony's new watch band. She wants to be cool and hot like you and she thinks you're really awesome. So now you gals can be twins. And were you proud that I was enhancing your friendship or were you? Like I don't embarrass that easily, right? You've said that a lot recently. And I didn't think, I thought that she'd come back and be like, oh, my God, that's so funny.
Starting point is 00:07:14 But she didn't. She's like, I had to follow this bitch on Instagram. Yeah, I've muted her so that I don't see her shit come up. Yeah. And I thought. Things you can say in the bedroom and also whilst leaving me the fuck alone. Yeah. Put this on mute.
Starting point is 00:07:31 So she replies and goes, oh, cool. I'm guessing you also got it from Kmart for $2. At which Tony looked shocked and a gasp. Why were you shocked to find out it's $2 from Kmart for $2, at which Tony looked shocked and a gasp. Why were you shocked to find out it's $2 from Kmart? Because that's such a cool girl thing. Oh, just two bucks, just picked it up one day, whatever. Yeah, my other watch band broke. I saw this one.
Starting point is 00:07:55 I just bought it. I don't like it. It's just like, whatever. Yeah, two bucks, Kmart, whatever. Like, no effort is cool. No, so after seeing Sarah with the watch, I found it online. Well, actually searched it for a long time. Google Sarah's watch.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Clear watch band, Apple glitter inside. Found it on Amazon, $60. What? $12 delivery. This is the least cool girl thing ever. No, tell me about it. I know. No one knows more than me how uncool this is.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Let us know if this is a compliment or it's creepy, but I think we already know. I just thought she'd really, like, be like, oh, my God, that's so funny. But she was just kind of like, ha-ha, cool. Like, don't you, like, don't you, like, she was just. She's a hot, cool girl. Yes. That's what they would do.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Oh, my, I just need to care less. Yeah, well, you've met you and we both know that's not going to happen. Hey, it's Matt from Pennsylvania and you're listening to Tony and Ryan. A massive shout out and a huge thank you to a few of our champion tappers. Abs Kebabs. Abs Kebabs. I love Kebabs.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Well, you can't have abs and kebabs. It's usually one or the other. Oh. Wow, that's beautiful. Put that on a kebabs. It's usually one or the other. Oh. Wow, that's beautiful. Put that on a T-shirt. That's for my inspirational quote Friday. I'm going to jot that down.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Save that. Do you want me to cut this out so that you can reuse it again? Put it in, yeah. Cameron Phillips, thank you so much. Shannon O'Neill, Jamie Lee. I wonder if it's Jamie Lee Curtis. I hope so. I love Jamie Lee Curtis.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Have you seen the movie True Lies? She's hot in that. With her and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Arnold in it. That is such a good fucking movie. Can I be honest? Yeah. We're about to talk about Jumanji. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:59 I thought for a while that the lady was Jamie Lee Curtis, but it's not. Who's the lady? Like the main, I don't even know. She's like not an actress that I recognised. Oh, isn't she? She looks familiar. I was like, is that Jamie Lee Curtis?
Starting point is 00:10:10 It wasn't. What the fuck? She doesn't look like Jamie Lee Curtis at all. Well, when I Google Jamie Lee Curtis, I agree. Keira Lee. I don't know if Jamie Lee and Keira Lee are related. They might be. Liam McCann.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Sorry, I'm thrown. Are you? Why are you thrown? I'm thrown because I just really want to be hot and cool and I'm a fucking loser. Well, none of the two ain't bad. No, mate. You're hot. None of the two.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Amy Posniewski. I fucked that up. Sorry, Ames. Michelle Akerblom. Alison Marie. And Daniela Fisher. Thank you so much. Ladies and gentlemen, first of all, welcome to Spotify. Well, if you're listening, you're on Spotify.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Today's our first day exclusive. But you're also getting a firsthand account of a flapped Tony Lodge. Of me unravelling. Yeah. Live. And we have a segment called Unflappable Tony, and this isn't it. You will be surprised to hear. That this isn't that segment.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Do you still need to take a breath? Do you want to sip out of your Frank Green water bottle? Yeah, I will actually. I'll tell you what's got me flapped if I can just share something. Please. We're sitting in our new studio and I reckon people who work in offices might know about this, that some of the office chairs will, like, recline, some will go up and down, and you've got to find your one,
Starting point is 00:11:24 and they all look the same, but then, you know, they've all got different settings and who knows how they work. And you've got to find your one. And they all look the same. But then, you know, they've all got different settings. But you've got the one that you know you like. Yeah. Tony is currently about six inches taller than me. How are you feeling? Are you looking down at me? Because I'm looking, I mean, I'm always looking up to you.
Starting point is 00:11:37 But now I'm, like, physically literally looking up to you. Do you want me to scooch down a bit? No, because then the cameras will be all fucked. Okay. We lined up the cameras and then sat in the seats and went, oh, I can't be bothered changing. Because there's five chairs that all look the same. They're this gorgeous like office chair base with like swivelly
Starting point is 00:11:57 and rolly wheels, but then it's like a rattan like actual chair on the top. It's very chic. And there's four of them. Two of them go down when you sit on them, which doesn't work for me because then it makes me way too short. So I was dragging all the chairs around this morning, trying to pick behind the curtain.
Starting point is 00:12:15 There's probably a button that does all of this, but we don't know how to use it. But there's two that I know that don't do it, so I had to find those this morning. Anyway, but if you are listening, you are listening to this on Spotify. Thanks for joining us. Thanks for coming across. If you're already here, then fucking jog on, on your bike love.
Starting point is 00:12:32 But if you've just started listening on Spotify, thank you because it's fucking awesome and we can only do this when people listen. There have been a lot of messages that were like, I don't like Spotify, I've been avoiding it, but you guys were the thing that tipped me over the edge. They did not want to. But I think people just are like, oh, I don't like Spotify. I've been avoiding it. But you guys were the thing that tipped me over the edge. They did not want to. But I think people just are like, oh, I don't know what it is. I'm the same with PayPal.
Starting point is 00:12:52 Oh, shit. Me and Tony have had a PayPal incident. Put that on the list. We'll talk about this this week. Okay. Oh, yeah. Fill a break. Hang on.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Pause everyone. I've got to put this in. Put that on the list. Seriously, we've had some PayPal. I actually, if I'm being honest. I'm literally writing it down. I'm scared of new things. Yep. And is everyone the same? I hope so. Do you remember? Otherwise there's something wrong with us. Do you remember how long it took me to start using a Mac?
Starting point is 00:13:17 Yes. Yes, I do. For two years, I researched, I used to use PC, how is my, does Microsoft Word work on a Mac? There's all this stuff. And every time I had these dumb questions, Tony, it's like you're a fucking. The frustrating thing about it was that you kept saying, does Microsoft, I like Microsoft Word and I can't use that anymore. I was like, yes, you can. They make Microsoft for Mac.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And you were like, no, I don't think it's the same. I think it's a different problem. And I was like, no, it's like I showed you on my computer and you still didn't believe me. I'm just scared. That was a frustrating. Sorry, I'm raising my voice. That was the frustrating thing for me was that you kept asking me the same things and I kept answering your questions and you.
Starting point is 00:13:59 So after about three months of this conversation going back and forth, I then buy a MacBook because I needed a new computer. I was like, I'm going to get a MacBook. I'm going to be a Mac guy. This is the kind of person I'm going to be. And then it sat in the box for three, four months. And then I was like, oh, when I finish my exams, because I don't want to change computer mid-university semester,
Starting point is 00:14:21 and then I've only still – it's August now. I started this in December. It's just really weird to me because with everything else in your life, you're like, oh, we'll figure it out. But this is just something like you're so weird about and I don't know why. Neither do I. But it's fine. Figure it out together.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Am I there yet? Well, you're using the computer literally right now. Are you using PayPal right now? I'm using Microsoft Word on my Mac. How's that? No, it's pretty good. It's pretty good. This week we wanted to, well, we didn't want to, Jared B. Harris.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Very quickly, though. Can I say one? Sorry. On the movie, last week we talked about Indiana Jones. Yeah. And there was a shots off in the movie. You know, two people were, like, drinking shots, one up against each other.
Starting point is 00:15:05 And we were like, we don't understand that. Yeah. We got a message from Leon Dorking. Oh, Dorking. Over the way. Dorky, yeah. Dorky or Dorking? Dorking.
Starting point is 00:15:15 But did you say or Dorky? No. You did? Yeah. Okay. Anyway, Leon messaged us and he said, on the shot thing, you guys said you weren't familiar with it. We call it 100 Club or Centurion.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Oh, Centurion. Yeah, yeah, that's different. And he said it's big in the rugby community. One shot of beer, cider or bitter a minute for 100 minutes. Yeah. And after that, every 30 seconds. And you have to be seated. You're allowed one tea towel.
Starting point is 00:15:40 Oh, so you could shit yourself and nothing else. And you're out when you stand up, pee or sick. Oh, yeah, you'd be out straight away because you pee literally constantly. We've done Centurion and I don't think because the- Oh, is that a different thing? Yeah, so Centurion, yeah, a shot a minute every minute for 100 minutes. I've never heard of that. So you end up drinking like eight beers in an hour and 40 and you're like-
Starting point is 00:15:59 Is that a lot? In the amount of time. And it's just the- As soon as you finish, you've got 50 seconds. Oh, God, I've got to pour my turn. Like it goes pretty quick. And, well, it goes through phases. It goes through quick, but it's also the longest painful experience
Starting point is 00:16:12 you've ever had. Right. Oh, well, sorry, I thought Leon had opened up the keys to the kingdom for us, but no. Leon. Should we do Centurion? I literally couldn't. I'd die.
Starting point is 00:16:21 You know I'm not good at drinking. No, you're not. Like I'm really not. But, I mean, I do like cider. The thing, you couldn't do it with cider because it's too much sugar. Your tummy would fill up. My friend had a big night on the peach ciders and he was like in the bathroom for days. Yeah. And my mate Anders, who makes beers and cider, he goes, yeah, you, the equivalent, you like stayed home last night and ate 40 peaches. Could you imagine what that does for you? It's the same like when you eat heaps of dried apricots.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Yeah. And it's like, oh, I had 10 dried apricots. And they're like, that's 10 apricots. Like you've just eaten. Like when would you sit down and eat 10 apricots? What do you want for dinner? Chicken. I might just eat 10 apricots.
Starting point is 00:17:02 10 apricots, yeah. But normally you eat dried apricots before dinner. So it's like, oh, I just had something small. I just warmed up with 10 apricots and now I have a steak. Well, anyway, Leon, you basically might as well not have come to the party. Thanks so much, though. I think the competition, because I think when you see in the movies, it's like one takes a shot and it's basically back and forth
Starting point is 00:17:21 until someone quits. Yeah. Okay. Oh, so I was really proud that I had. I'm glad you brought Centurion to the top world because what a game. That's a throwback to college and high school days. Great. Well, there you go.
Starting point is 00:17:33 My job here is done. Drink responsibly. Wait till you're 18 in Australia. Okay. So Jared B. Harris loves attention and messaged us on Patreon and said, you know what you should do for this week's movie poll? Movies based in New England where Jared B. Harris is from.
Starting point is 00:17:50 And we thought, well, we haven't got another fucking idea. So this is fine. He suggested we choose from Lake Placid, which is in Maine, Jumanji, which is based in New Hampshire, The Town, which is based in Boston, Mr Deeds, because he's from New Hampshire, or Ted, which is based in Boston, Mr Deeds because he's from New Hampshire, or Ted, which is based in Boston. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:08 It was a runaway winner, Jumanji, the original Jumanji from, what, 1996? Yeah. Now my wife Bridget gasped when I said, hey, we have to watch Jumanji. And she goes, and says, the original? And I'm like, yeah, yeah. And then she exhales with relief and said, and I quote, I thought you were going to make me watch a movie with the tall guy and the little guy.
Starting point is 00:18:34 She obviously is referring to The Rock and Kevin Hart. I was like, no, the original. She's like, oh, thank God for that. I really liked Jumanji. It's a really good movie. The new ones actually aren't awful. They're not great, but they aren't awful. They're stuck in a video game.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Oh, that's fun. Can we agree that the original is just like a great, great, a classic? I mean, watching it again as an adult and how far things have come. Like the CGI was a bit, yeah. Yeah, a few of the monkeys were pretty creepy. Yeah, wow. But is it fair that because, you know, time's gone on, it is what it is, it's a kid's film, you can just go,
Starting point is 00:19:18 it's a moment in time of CGI and go, hey, look at how far we've come. This movie scared the fuck out of me as a kid. Which was the scariest part? The spiders really freaked me out and the big wasp things. Yeah, the first one. The stinger comes through the roof of the car and then through the glass and stuff. Can I send a shout out to the cop? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:41 He's so funny. He's great. And he invented sneakers. Yeah, the Nike Air fucking. Just before we get to the rap, that's something I need to bring up. Yeah. Which I think. I've got something too and I think it might be the same thing.
Starting point is 00:19:57 The police need to be called. Oh. Was the budget low on Jumanji? Because they seem to have used the same actor. No, it's symbolism. For two very different roles. It's symbolism. And it took me, Ryan John Dunn, an awful long time to go, why is the dad trying to kill his son?
Starting point is 00:20:21 Oh, you didn't realise it was actually. No, it's the same actor and I assumed it was the same person. They don't look that similar. They're the same person, it's the same actor. No, but their characters are obviously different. Spending 25 years in the jungle will make you look different. Robin Williams looked different to what he looked like when he was young Alan Parrish. I was like, oh, he's grown up and got
Starting point is 00:20:38 blonde hair in the jungle and become a huntsman. But like when he comes out he says, oh, Van Pelt. So it's obviously... Maybe I was asleep at that part. Did you fall asleep again? Nah, oh, Van Pelt. So it's obviously. Maybe I was asleep at that part. Did you fall asleep again? No, no, it was great. You actually can't keep doing it. I have to watch the whole thing to write a fucking rap.
Starting point is 00:20:51 You can't fall asleep during the movies. It's so unfair. I feel like they could have got a different actor. What's the symbol? No, the symbolism is obviously that he's just like, you can't run from me, Sonny Jim, and stuff. And because the dad is like, you need to face up to your problems like a man. I just thought, oh, they're short on budget.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Cadbury from Richie Rich hasn't done much work. He was good in that movie. Symbolism. No. Okay. Okay, I didn't like that. But it's like. I get it now, but I just didn't like it.
Starting point is 00:21:21 Yeah, no, but it's obviously. But it's just so obvious that they're not the same character. Well, for some. That is so repulsive that you thought that they were the same person. Well, Bridge told me they're different. And I was like, but it's the same guy. And she's like, yeah, it's a thing.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Sorry, everyone, to let you all down. But how could it not be more clear? I tell you how it could be more clear, if they had two separate actors. But the thing, but the idea is that. I don't have a good answer. There's no good reason for me being an idiot. That's just how I saw it. So were you confused that Alan Parrish was played by somebody else
Starting point is 00:21:58 when he was a kid and then later on it was Robin Williams? Was that a bit scary for you as well? How is it the same character? That's the opposite. That is not the same argument. No, but it's something else that's just a bit scary, so I'm wondering if that was hard for you as well. Hang on.
Starting point is 00:22:17 They're calling him the same name as that other kid that used to be here. It's like, hang on, they said Roller 5 and now 5's been rolled. Maybe that's what helped me understand. It obviously wasn't. You don't deserve a wrap. I don't. I'm sorry. I feel like I've ruined this podcast.
Starting point is 00:22:33 It's because I'm sitting so low. Well, then pump yourself up. Go get them, Ryan. You're a great guy. No, I've got to get my hype man on. It's time to wrap. Okay, ready? All right.
Starting point is 00:22:47 T-Lodge, 2022, Jumanji rap. The original. Movies based on Jared B. Harris today. This one scared me when I was a baby. Alan gets stuck in the jungle. That's true. Spiders in a vine running out of time. Van Pelt and the dad are the same.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Can't believe this all comes from a game. Judy and Peter help to save the day, even though Peter is a monkey. Yeah! Woo! Oh, man, that is so good. And if only I had heard that rap about 15 minutes into the film, it would have helped me. Maybe we keep telling people to listen
Starting point is 00:23:25 to the podcast after they've watched the movie. Maybe we should flip it around in case people need vital information to understand the film. Just to let you know, Ryan, see there where he went through the door? That means he's in the building. He's gone all the way through. If only someone had told me. I should have had the director's commentary on.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Ryan, what do you love to see? I've got had told me. I should have had the director's commentary on. Ryan, what do you love to see? I've got a spoiler alert. And I just want to be very clear and upfront. Yeah. The dad from Jumanji. Two spoilers. Hunted the TV show. I've been banging on about it for a while.
Starting point is 00:24:00 I recommended it a few weeks ago. The finale was last week. Yeah. And we wanted to give a bit of time so that people could watch it. Take a breath. I've given you the weekend to watch the final. If you don't want to know how it ends. Skip forward like 40 seconds.
Starting point is 00:24:12 Skip forward. So people in the show have to avoid being captured by these hunters. Right? That's the whole premise of the show. They release you. You've got 21 days and these professionals from like the FBI, British Intelligence, the Australian Police, they like try and find you.
Starting point is 00:24:25 They hunt you down. Oh, my God. So Rob, he's this fabulous hairdresser. He's a bigger boy. Yep. And his teammate, Jacob, is a cop. He's fit. He's ripped.
Starting point is 00:24:35 And there's often a little bit of shit chat, to be honest, about like, oh, if I had to run away, Jacob would be fine, but Rob, like, maybe not. There's like the cops are like, oh, you know, if we catch up with him, he won't be able to get away that fast. Or if we corner him, he probably couldn't jump that fence. Like, a lot of, like, shitty little... Fat phobia, yes.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Yeah. Oh, he's a big boy. We'll spot him in the crowd. Well, after 21 days on the run, guess who won the whole fucking game and won the cash and was not captured? It wasn't Fit Jacob. He got got. But our big boy Rob.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Oh, Rob. Get around him. And he was like a lovely guy anyway. But I think it was just those couple little comments that I was like, I'd really fucking love to see you win this, Rob. Yeah, 100%. And he got it and he wins the cash and he's just like, how good. Oh, fuck yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:27 And because he's a hairdresser and like a makeup artist, he was like disguising himself. He covered his tattoos. That's so smart. He dressed him and he's made up in drag for a few days so they could like be undetected. So like this guy's using his skills and his creativity. That's good.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Maybe I've got a couple of extra pounds, but I've got skills and I'm going to win and I'm going to teach you fit police hunter guys That's good. Maybe I've got a couple of extra pounds, but I've got skills, and I'm going to win, and I'm going to teach you fit police hunter guys who are chasing me down a lesson about life. It's turtle on the hare, isn't it? It really is. Yep. Just because the hare's quick doesn't mean it's always going to win. Yep.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Slow and steady wins the race. Good on you. And when I saw it, I was proud. I was emotional watching. Yeah, I was like, good on you. I love a show where at the end you can't help but cry. That's me with most shows. Yeah, most shows. And there was emotional watching. Yeah, I was like, good on you. I love a show where at the end you can't help but cry. That's me with most shows. Yeah, most shows.
Starting point is 00:26:07 And there was two winners. Another guy who won, a gay bloke, who is going to use the money to start his surrogacy journey. And there was a moment where he's like 10 minutes away and he doesn't know if he's going to make it and he's crying and he pumps himself up and he goes, if I want to start a family, I'm going to have to finish. So these two underdog boys.
Starting point is 00:26:27 And there's a lot of, like, big, macho, toxic bros in this show. But the fact that they were the two, the only two to avoid it. And then they, like, met in the helicopter where they were being extracted and it was like, I was watching the show and being like... Oh, that's so lovely. You love to see it. Oh, you do love to see that. Well, my love to see it was that people love the pod
Starting point is 00:26:50 and that they've stuck around with us for so long and now we're part of Spotify and means you're either already here or you followed us here and you fucking love to see that because I love doing this with you, mate, every day. Starting point is 00:27:05 I love it. Yeah. Even though this chair does go up and down sometimes, it's okay. Yeah, and I don't love that I feel about four foot seven right now. Okay, all right. Sorry to fuck up your beautiful mind. Tomorrow on the show, to celebrate us moving over to Spotify, things you can say using Spotify and also in the bedroom.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Love you, bye.
