Hey, Toronto, it's time again for us to get out there and clear our ice and snow.
We've got 12 hours after snowfall to clear the public walks surrounding our home or business.
Otherwise, we could be penalizing somebody's ability to get around.
So join the team and make a play for safety.
After all, it's easier to get where you're going when your way is clear.
Be nice. Clear your ice.
Lloyd, he's the same way is clear. Be nice. Clear your ice. Lloyd?
He should see me catch a baseball.

Hi, everyone.
Elvis checking in to the Toronto Mic'd podcast.
As someone who does
not celebrate Christmas,
it's interesting that I would list a Christmas
song in my top 10 love songs of all time.
Last Christmas by
Wham is a beautiful song about
heartbreak and perhaps even a
little revenge. The song ends with
a line, so long to George's ex
lover. Everything is perfect about this song. The melody, with a line, so long to George's ex-lover. Everything is perfect
about this song. The melody, the lyrics, and the timing. It's a song meant to live in 1984,
yet here I am in 2021 playing a Christmas song on repeat, fancying myself to be as hot as George
Michael, because we can all relate to having our hearts broken at one time or another. Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special Once bitter and twice shy
I keep my distance but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby, do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me
At Christmas, I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying, I love love you I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now I know you'd fool me again
Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year, to save your tears
I'll give it to someone special
Oh, oh, baby Crying room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice
My God, I thought you were someone to rely on
Me, I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Ooh, ooh, now I've found the real love
You'll never fool me again
Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day, you gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
The very next day you gave it away
This year to set me free from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Face on the level where the fire ends
I gave you my heart
Man on the floor where the fire in his heart Gave you my man on the call
And it's all torn apart
Baby, I'll be next year
I'll give it to someone
I'll give it to someone
Special

Hey, Mike.
Mike Moniz here, a.k.a aka Hamilton Mike to your Toronto Mike.
Just thought I'd chip in here with my favorite holiday song.
Now this was tough to choose because I like so many different kinds, from parodies to satires.
I think Boba Duck McKenzie or Bob Rivers Twisted Christmas to actually really great soulful pop and rock ones
like those Christmas series
used to come out back in the 90s.
But ultimately, I think it had to come down to
Bruce Coburn off his
Christmas album, which is an absolutely gorgeous
album. Now,
being like you, I am also an atheist,
but I do enjoy the season,
the season of brotherhood, of
kindness, of sharing.
That's what the real true meaning of Christmas is to me, regardless of your religious beliefs.
And for that, I had to choose his version of an old American spiritual.
No one actually knows who wrote it, but it's kind of a folk song that's been handed down.
And it's Mary Had a Baby.
It's very folky, bluesy, southern.
It's got this unbelievable soul and swing to it.
We can't help but feel joy when you listen to it.
I don't care what religion or what beliefs this did me come from.
It's that kind of song.
So for me, it's Bruce Coburn's version of Mary Had a Baby.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to everyone.
Mary had a baby. I love her. Mary had a baby.
I love.
Mary had a baby.
I'm my love.
Mary had a baby.

Hi, Toronto Mike.
This is Mike from KW.
The best Christmas CD ever released is called Lump of Coal.
You may come to it to listen to Henry Rollins
reciting Night Before Christmas
with the sound of military aircraft in the background,
but you'll definitely stick around to listen to this song,
The Hoodoo Gurus, doing their
beach-punk-inspired
instrumental of Little Drummer Boy.
Happy holidays to all the F.E.T.O.s. Thank you. guitar solo guitar solo Hey Toronto Mike and FOTMs, this is Rush Mike here with my holiday kick out the jam.
My track is Run Rudolph Run by Chuck Berry.

Bed Santa to a boy child, what have you been longing for?
All I want for Christmas is a rock and roll electric guitar.
And then away went Rudolph, whizzing like a shooting star

Hi, this is Lieve Funke.
My Christmas song, it's not a pop song.
It's a religious Dutch song called
Ira Zij God, or Glory to God in English. It was first published in 1857. It is a very popular hymn
in Dutch Protestant churches. For me, it is nostalgic. I remember my parents teaching me
the song in Dutch when I was little. It is sung
at Christmas and even in Canada we still sing it in Dutch. I'm not sure what version Mike will be
playing but I sent him the version from the Erker Munnen Corps, a famous men's choral group from a
small town called Erk in the Netherlands. The organ and the vocals give me chills every time I hear it.
And so to all the FOTMs, a frolic kerstfeest and a gelukkig nieuwjaar, or Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year. Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, Ie, ZANG EN MUZIEK ZANG EN MUZIEK Ave, Ieus e cum, Ieus e cum, Ieus e cum, Ieus e cum, Ieus e cum, Ieus e cum, Ieus e cum, Ieus e cum. Hey fellow FLTMs, Midtown Gord here.
My favorite holiday tune is Billy Idol, Yellin' at the Christmas Tree.
I think I love it just because of the imagery in the song.
You can actually visualize everything.
Enjoy. When I was a small boy Here in London town
Seasons slow was falling on the ground
All the friends and family
Here on Christmas Eve
Gather round to dress the Christmas tree
Daddy's down at the pub full of Christmas cheer
Probably won't come home until next year
All the Christmas bells are ringing
And the carolers are singing. Mum and Daddy,
he don't hear them. He's yelling at the Christmas tree. Santa's balls are jingling. Mummy's
hips are wiggling. But Daddy, he don't hear them. he's yelling, he's yelling at the Christmas tree.
Oh, right now, yeah!
Uncle is a sportsman, Granny likes a joke.
But no one laughs when Daddy stumbles home.
But he don't fall asleep, while the night was getting black.
You see, oh God, Dad had too much Jack.
Oh no, every year it's the same old thing like Rudolph's red nose.
Telling his story never will get old All the Christmas bells are ringing and the carolers are singing
But Daddy, he don't hear them, he's yelling at the Christmas tree
Santa's balls are jingling
Mommy's hips are wiggling
Daddy, he don't hear wrong
He's yelling, he's yelling at the Christmas tree
All right now, yeah
All right now, yelling at the Christmas tree
Santa came down the chimney
But then he ran upstairs
Jumped in bed with Mommy, she didn't care
Across the room went the fruitcake
All the wreaths came off the door
If these are holidays, I can't take no more Across the room went the fruitcake, all the wreaths came off the door
If these are holidays, I can't take no more
Every year it's the same old thing like the Rudolph's and Rednaps
Telling a story never will get old
Oh, the Christmas bells are ringing And the carolers are singing
But Daddy, he don't hear them
He's yelling at the Christmas tree
Santa's balls are jingling
Mommy's hips are wiggling

Just thought I'd send you my submission for the FOTM kick out the holiday jams.
I'd have to say my favorite holiday jams, probably because I'm not sick of hearing it yet,
would be Linus and Lucy from A Charlie Brown Christmas.
It's one of my favorite go-to holiday movies and it's got a great jazzy soundtrack to boot so here is linus and lucy
from a charlie brown christmas Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Hey Toronto Mike, Bob Ouellette, the artist formerly known as Bingle Bob.
Bob Ouellette, the artist formerly known as Bingle Bob.
When you were putting together a list for Christmas music,
I had to speak up because there's only one true Christmas album, and it is A Christmas Portrait by The Carpenters.
Scientifically proven to be the greatest Christmas album of all time.
Sleigh Ride being my choice to display Karen Carpenter's Voice of an Angel.
Enjoy.
Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling too.
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling you.

Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Top of the season to all 20 Mike listeners.
This is Rick.
For my song, I narrowed it down to two choices.
Sort of a fun song and one more religious.
I flipped a coin and unfortunately you won't be getting Slade's Merry Christmas, everybody,
but instead Harry Belafonte's Mary's Boy Child.
There's something magical about his voice in the song, and I really love it.
So best of this season, everyone, and enjoy.
Long time ago in Bethlehem
So the Holy Bible say
Mary's boy child Jesus Christ was born on Christmas Day King born today. And man will live forevermore.
Because of Christmas Day.
Trumpets sound and angels sing.
Listen what they say.
Listen what they say That man will live forevermore
Because of Christmas Day
While shepherds watch their flock by night
Them see a bright new shining star.
Them hear a choir sing, the music seem to come from afar. Now Joseph and his wife Mary come to Bethlehem that night.
Then find no place to bond she child, not a single room was in sight.
Hark now, hear the angels sing, a new king born today. And man will live forevermore, because of Christmas Day. Trumpets sound and angels sing
Listen what they say
That man will live forevermore
Because of Christmas Day
By and by they find a little nook in a stable all forlorn.
And in a manger, cold and dark, Mary's little boy was born.

Hey Mike, hope all is well.
I think the easy answer for me would be anything Bing Crosby.
Mostly because it's one of the earliest memories I have of listening to Christmas
music with my parents. The Bing Crosby Christmas album was one that came out every year and is one
that I continue to listen to to this day. I've got the CD version of it. I have it downloaded
onto my phone as well. So anything Bing Crosby, but specifically,
Mele Kalikimaka.
It's just such a different sort of Christmas song,
given the Hawaiian tones,
and it's in one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time,
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
So anything Bing Crosby, but specifically,
Mele Kalikimaka. Mele Kalikimaka
is a thing to say
on a bright
Hawaiian Christmas
day.
That's the island greeting
that we send to you
from the land
where palm trees sway.
Here
we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is the wise way
To say Merry Christmas to you

A very Merry Christmas.
A very, very Merry, Merry Christmas to you.
Christmas to you. Some people get to choose 10 songs in which to describe the soundtrack to their life where they can wax poetically throughout teenage angst, love, and life. For this assignment,
it's one song and has to be Christmas or holiday themed. But how am I going to possibly choose
between the soft and sweet Karen Carpenter singing Merry Christmas,
darling? The British, do they know it's Christmas? Or do I go old school and choose
Bing's Mele Kalikimaka, Andy Williams' Happy Holidays, or Perry Como's There's No Place Like
Home for the Holidays? Can I go cute CanCon with Kim Stockwood and Marshmallow World,
Brian Adams, Something About Christmastime, or be more melancholy with
Ali Slate and Where Are You Christmas? Do I think bigger and be excited for the future with Chantelle
Kraviasic and This Year? Or do I just surprise you all with a Glee cast version of We Need a
Little Christmas? Because don't we? Haul out the holly carols at the spinnet
Yes, we need a little Christmas, right this very minute
It hasn't stoned a single flurry But Santa dear, we're in a hurry
So climb down the chimney Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen
Slice up the fruitcake It's time we hung some tinsel
On that evergreen bough
For I've grown a little leaner
Grown a little colder
Grown a little sadder
Grown a little older
And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder
I need a little angel sitting on my shoulder I need a little Christmas now
Call out the holly
For once I taught you all to
Live each living day
Fill up the stocking
But it's remain
It's one week has Thanksgiving Day now
But we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute
Candles in the window
Carols at the stint
And we need a little Christmas
Right this very minute
It hasn't snowed a single flurry
But Santa dear, we're in a hurry
So climb down the chimney
It's been a long time since I felt so neighborly
Slice up the fruitcake, it's time we hung some tinsel
On that favorit bow
For we need a little Christmas, breakfast there admitted
Candles in the window, carols at the spinning
And we need a little Christmas.
Right this very minute, we need a little Christmas now.
We need a little Christmas now We need a little Christmas now
