The FOTMs have picked so many great jams,
some of them familiar to me and sparking my own Christmas memories,
others completely new.
With musical tastes that run far and wide,
I ultimately returned to Led Zeppelin
as a sort of musical palate cleanser.
And it's a similar story for Christmas music,
where my palate cleanser albums
are Elvis' Blue Christmas
and Pavarotti's Oh Holy Night.
They bring me back to a time
when music was playing in my parents' house.
The secular of Mom's Elvis
balanced out by the spiritual of Pavarotti for Dad.
So while it might not qualify
as a jam, my Christmas KOTJ pick is Pavarotti's O Holy Night. Merry Christmas, everyone. It is the night of the dear Savior's birth.

Noël, Noël,
quassi verreda te. I'm a man of God Beaux-de-Mars were massive in the 70s and 80s and came out with a Christmas song called Vingt-trois-de-sans, which means December 23rd, and talks about how Christmas was celebrated back in the 50s.
Whenever you turn on the radio in this province around Christmas time, you'll always hear this song.
So I figured I would share this Quebec culture with everybody here and I hope everybody enjoys.
And Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all the FOTMs out there.

23 décembre, joyeux Noël, monsieur Côté, salut Tigu, on se reverra Hi Toronto Mike and everybody, it's JJ.
Merry Christmas, happy holidays.
Mike had to send the heavies after me,
but I finally managed to send in my recording.
I chose this song because it's in the style
or similar to the style of what's known as parang music and parang music is the type of music that
you hear in Trinidad at Christmas time and this song just literally is a dude talking about what more could he do for the woman that he loves so which my kind of vibe
but also the song just reminds me a lot of growing up and um trinidadian christmas which
is to me the best so i hope everybody enjoys merry christmas Merry Christmas. Mi senorita, oh baby what you want for Christmas? Tell me what you want for New Year? My favorite holiday jam is O Christmas Tree,
but I like it when the lyrics are the same as O Canada.
That's how it was sung on July 16, 1994
at the Las Vegas Posse's first ever CFL home game.
It was sung by Dennis Park, who had never heard this song before,
and he put the lyrics to O Canada to O Christmas Tree.
It's a great memory. Thanks, Mike.
O Canada, our home and native land,
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With growing hearts we see thee rise, the true and strong and free. From far and wide, O Canada
We stand on guard for thee
From far and wide, O Canada
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
Hi, Mike and all the FOTMs.
Merry Christmas to you all. My pick for the holidays is Bruce
Springsteen's rendition of Merry Christmas Baby with the E Street Band. And it's a song which
is part of the album called A Very Special Christmas published in 1987. Which has a lot of great acts.
For the time.
So I hope you enjoy it.
Everyone.
You would have thought.
That I would have picked something like.
Jose Feliciano's Feliz Navidad.
But that's not the case with me.
Enjoy. I just can't hear here tonight to say
I just want to say
I just wanna say
Merry Christmas baby
You surely treat me nice
Merry Christmas baby
You surely treat me nice I feel just like living, living in paradise
Now listen, now you see
I feel real good tonight
And I got music on the radio
I feel real good tonight
And I got music on the radio
And the boys in the band are playing pretty good
Now, I feel just like I want to kiss you
Underneath my mistletoe
But now listen
Santa came down the chimney
Half past three
With lots of nice little presents for my baby and me
Merry Christmas, baby
This is all I'm dreaming about.
I feel like I'm living, just another day in the gas.
Come on, boys! When our sailor came down the chimney
Half past three
With lots of nice little presents
For my baby and me
Merry Christmas, baby
This song will keep me nice
I feel like I'm living
I'm living in paradise
And I just came down to say
Merry Christmas, baby I just came down to say Merry Christmas, baby
I just wanna say
Merry Christmas, baby
I just wanna say
Merry Christmas, baby
I just wanna say
Merry Christmas, baby
And Happy New Year, too
Oh, yeah Merry Christmas baby! And Happy New Year too!
Oh yeah!
Play it boys! Go!
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year! How have you been? Oh, yes. Have a Christmas, baby.
Hi, Mike.
This is Karen from Houston, Texas, friend of YYZ Gord, who met you at the Toronto Mike Listener Experience 8,

I'd like to put forward a fabulous holiday pop classic released in November of 1970
and written by the great Puerto Rican songwriter, Jose Feliciano.
Feliz Navidad has been listed as one of the most downloaded Christmas songs in both the U.S. and Canada.

Hey Mike, this is Liam from New Market, and I wanted to select a holiday jam as my favorite,
which is a bit off the beaten path of the rest.
No Presents for Christmas by King Diamond is an unconventional choice,
but I feel it's different than the rest and is a great song standing alone, regardless of the season.
Mike, I wish you, your family and friends nothing but the best of the holiday season,
Mike, I wish you, your family, and friends nothing but the best of the holiday season,
as well as extending the same to the listeners and to the guests that have made this year one of the best for Toronto Mic'd.
Cheers. Christmas time is here again

He cannot find his sheep or sheep

It's getting very, very late
The beat has closed the door again
And the new talk is still in place
I wonder who it's gonna be

Alice Lon and the Sparklers performing
I Wanna Do More Than Whistle.
I wanna do more than whistle
How long can a fellow whistle?
I wanna do more than whistle
Under the mistletoe
My jingle bell heart is beating
It's time that our lips were meeting. Please give me my season's greeting. Under the mistletoe.
believe in Santa Claus.
I'm all decked out like a Christmas tree.
So baby, please hang a
kiss on me. I want
to do more than whistle.
It's better to
kiss than whistle.
I want to do more

under the mistletoe.
Now the fire is warm and rosy, and we could be oh so cozy.
So thrill me from head to toesy, under the mistletoe.
Start kissing and please don't tarry, cause kissing is customary
Soon it'll be January, under the mistletoe
I'm gonna get my wish because I still believe in Santa Claus

Under the mistletoe
Happy Holidays Toronto Mike and my fellow FOTMs.
It's Beck here. My holiday jam is I'll Be Home
with Bells On by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Growing up it was a family tradition to spend
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my grandparents, my aunt and uncle, and my cousins.
As the kids got older and entered our teen years and like to sleep in a bit more on Christmas morning,
the parents always thought it was hilarious to wake us up early by blasting Kenny and Dolly's CD, Once Upon a Christmas.
The song I'll Be Home with Bells On took new meaning for me when I moved away to the Cayman Islands.
I always tried to make it home for Christmas. I only missed two while I lived there,
but when I did make plans to come home, I always told them I'll Be Home with Bells On.
I hope everybody enjoys this jam. You might not have heard it before. And I wish all of you happy
holidays. I hope you enjoy the holiday time with your family and friends. And I'll see you in the
new year. I'll be home with bells on Turn the tree and wrap the presents
Turn the Christmas music on It's Christmas, I'll be home with bells on
I've traveled round this country, crossed the waters deep and wide
Made lots of friends and memories, brought joy to others' lives
It's Christmas time again, Another year has come and gone.
And I can't keep from wondering how the old folks are at home.
So I'll be home with bells on.
I'll be home with bells on.
Turn the tree and let the presents turn the Christmas music on.
This Christmas I'll be home with Bill Troll
Play one for us!
When the snow is on the meadow and the sleigh bells jingle bright And the kids are singing jingle bells around the Christmas lights
As Daddy stokes the fire and Mama puts the turkey on
There ain't nothing gonna slow me down this Christmas I'll be home I'll be home with bells on
I'll be home with bells on
Turn the tree and let the roses turn the Christmas music on
This Christmas I'll be home with bells on
I'll be home with bells on. I'll be home when girls are I'll be home when girls are
And that brings us to the end of our 960-second show.
I want to thank every single FOTM who took the time to send me a holiday jam.
