Werewolf Ambulance: A Horror Movie Comedy Podcast - Episode 288- The Crazies (2010)

Episode Date: July 6, 2020

In a very Britney Spears move...whoops, we did it again. Who knew "The Crazies" was about a virus?! We genuinely just thought it was about zombies. I guess this is why being fun is better than knowing... things. Anyway, here we are: the 2010 remake of "The Crazies." Special topics for your consideration include: the Ogden Marsh Parking Authority's vehicle booting capabilities, extremely inconsistent symptoms of an illness, the possibility of simply having a lot on your plate, weapons available to one on a farm and Timothy Olyphant: a sheriff, and a particular face.  Everyone, thank you so much for helping us hit our goal raising money for the National Lawyers Guild. You are the best and we love you. The Romero movie was probably better. Enjoy some of his actual work with Episode 21- "Creepshow" and one of Katie's favorite all-time episodes, Episode 137- "Monkey Shines." Somehow we've also done another Romero remake with Episode 173- "Dawn of the Dead." Have you been thinking about buying a t-shirt but perhaps none of the designs spoke to you? Then we are certain you'll love our brand new design by the inimitable Justin Gray, "Close Enough, Lucio!" Starting point is 00:00:00 So I didn't know what this movie was about. I forgot what this movie was about. I think I thought it was just zombies, right? I don't think I realized it was a virus. Yeah, but I mean there's nothing like going on that's virus related right now. No, I mean, this feels like less bad of a fuck up than when we did Black Death a few months back. But I had never seen this movie and I genuinely just thought that it was about like crazy zombies. Which it is.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Mm-hmm. There's just a little back story. There's a little bit of back story. There's a little bit of quarantine. I'm sorry. We should say that we were going to do two quarantine zombie movies back to back. And then I was like, oh wait, we can't do that. So the movie that you picked for next week that we did actually end up watching. Was it like automatically recommended to you at the end of this movie? Is thi, th. There, th. There, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the the the the thi, their their their their their their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their their their their their their their their their their thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. their thi. their, their, their, their, their, their, their, thi. the movie that you picked for next week that we did actually end up watching, is it was it like automatically recommended to you at the end of this movie? Is that how you ended up with it? Uh, no, the way I ended up with it was because when it came out I really, really wanted to see it and I saw it was on Hulu and got really excited.
Starting point is 00:01:18 So I watched these on prime and when I watched, oh, you know what, maybe not. I think I watched that one on Hulu, but then when I watched this one, The Crazies on Prime, it was like, you might also enjoy, and it was next week's movie. Yeah, I had the same experience. Wow. Weird. So if you watch this on Prime, you know what we're doing next week now. It's crall. It's so fucking bad. I can't even believe it.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Oh, I cannot wait to get into that, but first we have to get through Timothy Oliphant. Man, he's disappointing in this, huh? What? What? What? Did you notice that none of his like dialogue was synced up with his mouth moving? Why was that? I didn't? None of it. Every time they showed his face it was like he had just finished talking. I just kept staring at him and going, are you legally obligated to play a police officer and something? And remember how last week we were kind of like, oh Timothy Alphant we might have to to fight over him? I'm out. He's yours? Oh, okay'll take it. Yeah, it's fine. I know. I'm in. He, like everyone in this movie is like a bunco somebody else and I kept thinking that he was a bunco
Starting point is 00:02:35 Timothy Oliphant until I realized it was actually just Timothy Oliphant. Isn't that everyone's a nightmare a Bunko Timothy Oliphant? There'd be a Bunko version of yourself. Ooh. My nightmare is usually involved trying to run, but my legs are made of springs and I just bounce instead, but I guess being a Bunko version of myself could also be scary. You just have Tigger-related dreams. Yeah, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:03:05 So this is a remake of a George Romero classic. Which I have also never seen. Which is also free on prime right now. Oh, okay, I should have watched that, huh? At some point? Why didn't we do that instead? You suggested this one. I said the crazies and you said, oh, the remake.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Because we do remakes. Because we do remakes the re re re re re re re re re re re re re re re reaae the the the the the the, the the the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, tho, tho, tho, tho, the, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, the, tho. the. the. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thoooooooooooakes it's what we do it's our bread and butter no why though listen we've never claimed to be good at this no speaking of us not being good at things and also local Pittsburgh legends can I get a news a breaking news sound in here new sound in here? W. thi? W. thi? W. thi? thi? W. to? thi? W I'm just saying, we're the invite to come. Yes, yes, it's hot outside. It's gonna be 96 on Saturday, so yes, I would. I have seen him twice in the last two weeks since we last recorded.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Both times riding his bike on the sidewalk. Savinieani. I think I very much hate. So, Boop, Boop, Boop, Boop. Boop. In his defense, Pittsburgh drivers and riding a bike can be a little hairy sometimes. In defense of pedestrians, I think it's a motorized bike. Ooh, la la la.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Yeah, you can't ride that on the sidewalk, though. It's not for you. At least he's not riding one of those like skateboards with one wheel in the center. What the fuck are those things? People are always riding them on the trail and it makes me really mad because they're going super fast. Oh, really? Yeah. I'm mad. I'm just mad in general. I'd always always always always th always th always th always tho th tho th th th tho th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I'm mad. I'm just mad in general. I'd always think of them as the virgin of walking around with a parrot on your shoulder of transportation.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Yeah, yeah, they're a bit that, they're a bit those like sneakers for kids that have wheels in them and kids would be like scooting around the grocery store and you're like, come on, not an Aldi. You know what I mean? I spent a quarter on this cart, kid. Yeah, and I'm gonna get it back, but I'm still angry. I will say from the jump that the movie we're currently doing speaking of Pittsburgh-related things is missing a lot of Evan City accents that the OG has. Oh, I love it. I love that North Pittsburgh accent, I really do. As a North Pittsburgh, th, th, th th th th the the th, th, to the the the the th, th, th, th, th, the th, th, th, the th, th, th, th, thi, the the thi, their their thi, the thi, thi, their their thirty, thirty, thirty, I thirty, I that, I that, I that, I thi, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, the thi, thi thi thi thi thi thi tot tot tot tot tot tot tot tot tip thi tip thi thi, th lot of Evan City accents that the O.G. has. Oh, I love it. I love that North Pittsburgh accent. I really do. As a North Pittsburgher myself. There's a lot of A's in the word fire. Far. Far. Far. I never realize how bad my Pittsburgh accent is until I do talk to text. My phone's like, who's Anita? But speaking of accents, Radha Mitchell in this film, Australian. Oh is she? The deputy, British. Of course, of course. Yeah. And this is our second Radha Mitchell. I assume it's Rata. I think so. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. uh. thi. that. th. that. that. the. th. the. that. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. that. the. that. that. that. that. the the the the the the the Yeah. Yeah. And this is our second Rada Mitchell. I assume it's Rata. I think so. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She was in Silent Hill. Oh shit. What did she doing that?
Starting point is 00:06:32 She was the main lady. Hmm. Remember that movie at all? Sean Bean. Uh huh. And a guy with the pirate pyramid head and big booby-fucked-up face nurse. That's what I remember from that movie. Yeah, those nurses have big old boobies. They did. And Rata Mitchell. Yeah, one out of two is pretty great though. I'm Alan. Rata is a great name. Yeah. Yeah. Mitchell. Yeah. that's not whip, and that's not great. I don't, I'm not gonna even say my name. I made a moo noise, that's not my real last name.
Starting point is 00:07:19 I didn't know if you're gonna beep it. So, this movie begins with a baseball game. I know you love that. I do, you know, they're talking about how much they love opening day, which really resonates with me because it is my favorite day of the year. I always refer to opening day as my Christmas. Oh yeah. I do love, I just love baseball. I love that first day. You're gonna get one soon. I know, it's weird that it'll be in July and I won't be able to go, so whatever. I also thought that the opening was weird that they chose to use a Johnny Cash song, so close to the Zach Snyder remake of Don the Dead opening with the Johnny Cash song.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Oh, interesting, yeah. That is a weird dynamic there. It was almost like calling back like eh yeah you remember that fast zombie movie well I got it I got right here but I got you're doing it we're making it we're making it. So normally in baseball videos you'll just see a cat running around the outfield, but in this one it is not a cat. It is a neighbor with a gun. He also looked like a bunco somebody to me, but I couldn't tell who he was a knockoff of.
Starting point is 00:08:37 I would, if you think of it at any point, please let me know because I'm curious. Yeah, I will. So he comes and he's menacing people with a gun and ti- If you think of it at any point, please let me know, because I'm curious. Yeah, I will. So he comes and he's menacing people with a gun and Timothy Oliphant, the Oliphant, Oliphant, I'm from, I'm gonna say Oliphant because I'm from Pittsburgh, if that's okay with you. Timi Oli. Like how the pizza place to me will always be fazios, even though I know it's not fucking Fios. North for sales. North for sales, that one is correct.
Starting point is 00:09:22 This is really fun for our international listeners. So Timothy Oliphant has to shoot him to keep him from shooting him, I guess. And then it cuts to like a satellite image of the town, and it says Ogden Marsh, population 1260. And I was like, real missed opportunity on not having a change to 1259, right? Don't you think? Maybe it was 1261. Maybe, but I feel like they should have showed the number change. Like it should have been an old-timey alarm clock and just clicked over to the one lower.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Like the beginning of each day and Groundhog day. The thing I like about the outer space, satellite, airplane, whatever that is, shot of the field, is that it does not spark any, huh? You're just like, okay, yeah, why not? I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I'm that I'm that I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that. that. that. that. that that that. that that that that that that that that th. th. thi. thi. thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. that that that that that that that does not spark any, huh? You're just like, okay, yeah, why not? I'm not far enough into the movie to understand that this is weird yet. Right, right, right, right, right. A lot of attractive people there in Ogden Marsh. Kind of shocking. I have the note, of course the hot doctor is married to the hot sheriff. Right, but like her assistant is cute, the deputy. The deputy, like, like her assistant is a th. th. th. th. the the th. th. thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the the the the the the the the the the the the the th.. th. th. th. th. th. the the the th. the the there's a lot of good looking people in this town. Who doesn't love a blue gene-wearing sheriff's deputy?
Starting point is 00:10:29 I mean I don't really like cops, ACAB. But otherwise, I guess. His character makes no fucking sense. I want to get into that. I think he's supposed to bring out some empathy into you later on that just... Well the thing is, while you're watching him you're like, oh I'm going to be sad when Russell dies later. But then like, he's like, well, I'm sick, I guess I'm making bad choices. So they just, he just lets it like what he's not clearly not as sick as the other people. Maybe he's making bad choices because he's under
Starting point is 00:11:11 an enormous amount of stress right? I also love that he has that like mindfulness aspect to his sickness where he's like I'm sick I'm making bad choices. Let me take a beat and now I'm going to start making good choices. Yeah, it doesn't make any sense. He's not a crazy in that sense. No, he's just me in most situations. Yeah, you know what, Alan? It's good that you can take a beat.
Starting point is 00:11:36 Most people can't take a beat. It's a thing I had to learn. Do not take a beat to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to Katie earlier when I try to troll people on the internet and I just get told that I'm being very polite. Because I take a beat and don't say, go eat a bag of fuck rocks you dickhole. I reel it in and I make a joke. Yeah. You did call someone a limp dick, dick loser.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Limp dickick loser. I like that a lot. Speaking of not taking a beat, one of my favorite scenes in this movie happens right after the shooting, which is that Rory's wife slaps Timothy Oliphant, but it's literally the worst fake slap I've ever seen. Like, the sound happens long before the slap and I
Starting point is 00:12:26 rewound it and watched it four times. Four. I laughed so hard at that because his reaction face is a dog trying to steal your nachos face. What's that over there? Nothing? I didn't see anything. What's going on over there? He looks like a mup it, a casual muppet. A cashmup. It's so silly. I just felt like they couldn't do that one again. They couldn't move the slap sound.
Starting point is 00:12:54 Like they couldn't just take a beat? The funny thing is that like, I legit love Timothy Oliphond as an actor. Like, I have watched the entirety of Justified, Deadwood, like I love him, I have you know, in things. And I usually think he's really good at playing the Sheriff's character that he always always plays. Yeah. And in this one he's just kind of like, there's just like this hint of dopey to what he's doing that's very odd it's a weird choice. Yeah I feel like he heard Iowa and was like people who live in Iowa must be stupid you know. Ogden Marsh. Is that a real place? No I looked it up it is not but it is such a
Starting point is 00:13:42 lovecraft name. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Do we mention that, the, what is his wife's name? Judy. Judy. Judy. Judy is pregnant. Of course she is. Of course she is.
Starting point is 00:13:55 He's kissing her little pregnant belly. Every time he walks fire, he gives her a little rub on the tum tum. Yeah. Yeah, tum. I I I I I I I I I I I I I I tum, tum, tum, tum, tum, tum, tum, tum, tum, tum, t. tum, t. tum, tom, tom, thoom, thoom, thoom, tum, t thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, their their their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the t. the t. the t. the the the the the tum, the the the the the th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tm. tm. tm, tm, tum, tum, tum, tum, tum. tum. tum. tum. tum. tom tum rub. Yeah. I had a friend who when she was pregnant every time someone would touc her belly she would just also lightly stroke theirs. Was very funny. Because it's really not okay you shouldn't do that. we're just going to bring up like everybody that's not for you. Yeah. If someone's like, hey, touc my stomach. Yeah. Whenever I was pregnant and people would go in to touc my belly, I would just stick my hand out and shake there, which was also very funny for me.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Just go right for the handshake. Mid-conversation, I'm shaking your hand. Hey, good to see you. Good game. Good game. Really appreciate your effort. Then I'd slap him right on the ass. Nice hustle. I will say that if every time Timothy Alphant walks by me, if he wants to rub my tum-tum, I'm fine with it. You like that, huh? I'd be into it. Yeah. Yeah. Then there's a very scary scene of Bill. Bill and Deirdre, who live in a house near the sheriff and the doctor who are like the power
Starting point is 00:15:10 couple in town, I guess. And now Bill... Is that much hot? Oh yeah. When you're hot, you have power, or so I've been told. So Deerjur brings Bill to see Dr. Judy, who's like, I don't know, probably okay. Which seems a little lax on her part. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Particularly because then Bill locks his family in a closet and burns the house down. Not before menacing his wife with a Columbine, what is that machine? I don't know, a thresher, I think. Yeah. I mean, like, farmers really do have a lot of weapons at their theeeeeems they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they don't know, a thresher I think? Yeah. And I mean, like farmers really do have a lot of weapons at their disposal, don't they? Oh, they're loaded with them. A farm is a very dangerous place for a madman. It's a dangerous place for anyone.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Yeah, that's true. So yeah, he burns his family alive. It's bleak. Yeah, it is, it is, like, ugh, it's, I kept being like, okay, so they're gonna run out the back. Yeah, no, ooh, oh, movie. Yeah, straight up, murders a little child. Gets that hard-ar. I thought you're gonna say hard-on. And I was like, ooh, really? You got, you like that hard-ar. I thought you're going to say hard-on, and I was like, ooh, really? You got, you like that.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Alan. No! No! No. Which then it shows us the satellite image again, and it says, says initiate containment protocol. B-ba-ba-ba-ba-bom. It's so silly. It is. They figure out that a plane has crashed because some hunters find a parachuted man who's dead in the water.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Right. The plane is huge. I really liked that shot of the, like, them in the boat and the water. Right. The plane is huge. Right. I really liked that shot of the like the them in the boat and the camera pans out over them with the plane. I like to that. I agree. Yeah, that was cool. I also like when the sheriff is like walking down the empty street and he just sees a black SUV down the block taking pictures of him. Yeah. And then it like peels out and drives away Yeah, yeah I also like how he's an elected official who turns off the town's water supply without providing another source of drinking water Yeah, that's a little fucked
Starting point is 00:17:38 I like that this mayor went to the mayor from Amity School of Mayoring just Just leave it on, it's fine, it's fine. How out of place was his pool? Wasn't it so weird? There was something so weird about that pool in the middle of like a cornfield. Did you like when he went to the funeral home, and the funeral director had carved X's in that one dude's eyes? Yeah, why did he do that? Because he's crazy now. But who was that guy? I don't know who got who
Starting point is 00:18:11 sewed the other guy's mouth shut? No I mean who even was the guy who got his eyes and mouth sewed shut? Oh that was that was someone who died earlier but I don't remember why. No he wasn't because he says he's behind you. Hmm. Who was that guy? don't know then. I don't know. I don't know. But I like the X is carved into someone's eyes. Yeah, it's gross. It was very um, De Snider's strange land. Welcome to my world. I knew you're gonna to say it. You love it so much. Legally obligated. So much. Who doesn't?
Starting point is 00:18:52 You gave it a 10. You give it a 10 and a half. Give it a 35. It's better than Child's Play 2. Fock you! It's not. It's not. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:19:04 You know I don't think that. I know you don't think that. So the guy, the, the, the, the coroner, funeral director, comes out with a bone saw? Yeah. I really do like all of the occupational weapons in this movie. The thresher, the bone saw, I think it's just very clever, yeah. The idea of getting cut with a bone saw, like legit gives me the hea-gibies. Hell yeah. Ugh, ugh. As someone who's prone to cutting myself with knives all the time, I'm very, I'm very glutty, it turns out. Are you? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Remember when my thumb was a real bandaged up because I split the top of it? Yeah. Yeah. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. tho. thoom. thoome. thoom. thoom. thoge. thoge. thoom. the. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I's. I's the. I's the. I's the. I's the. thea. It's toea. It's just just just justea. Ia. Ia. Ia. I'ma. I'm togea. I'ma. I'm togea. I'm toge. t. t. the top of it. Oh, yeah Around this time we also get Timothy Oliphant being like kind of a dick to his wife Where she's like he's like trying to get her to leave or something and she's way more educated than you, and she's better than you. So like, why don't you just fucking tone it down a little? The only reason I can think that that happened was you're supposed to be like, Oh, I didn't even think about that. Or is he just a bad husband. I think he's just a dick. If they need penicillin. Fuck you, dog.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Right, that's all she does. Just hands out prescriptions for penicillin all day, all day every day. She's like if you hear about this new... New wonder drug, penicillin? Oh, Oliphant. Yeah. What's his character's name? Oh, David. David. Oh, right, she says it four grazillion times. David and Scotty. We learned Scotty's name and we are not permitted to forget it. It's weird because when Scotty comes back you've forgotten not permitted to forget it.
Starting point is 00:21:08 It's weird because when Scotty comes back you've forgotten that he's that girl's boyfriend but they just like keep saying his name over and over and over and then they're like, oh yeah, that's her boyfriend. Okay, fine. Okay, fine. So is this when the military shows up and starts rounding everybody up? Right, the military descends on to town, it descends into town and I have a note that says, God, the military is annoying, which is not how one respects our troops. I did not do a good job of troop respecting there. I love the military in hazmat suits with gas masks on underneath the hazmat suits. That's not how it works, is it? To my knowledge, no.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Mm-mm. No. I think it's one or to other, not both. You've got to double up on this. Despite the fact that the virus being airborne does not seem to actually affect anybody. It's true. Yeah, I guess, is it touch, I guess, that it's passing it around, or water? I don't know, because at some point, she says, well, they're wearing gas masks,
Starting point is 00:22:12 so the virus must have gone airborne. And that is actually literally the only time that her expertise as a doctor, thiiiiiiii. which is interesting because she's a doctor. So it seems like she might be able to help out here. I don't know, according to David, she just goes on and on about penicillin. It's so weird that her, like, normally when a character is a doctor, they have to save somebody or perform some sort of medical procedure. She's just like, I'm a doctor but I'm also pregnant. I can be two things. Yeah you've got Kirstie Alley
Starting point is 00:22:46 stealing that alien baby in that Village of the Dan movie. Yeah you do. She was a doctor. She was a doctor. You've got Christopher Reeve. Was he a doctor? No. He was also a doctor. Yeah, he's like the town doctor. Yeah, right. He's doing doctor stuff. You got the guy from Arachnophobia. I can't remember if it's it's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. Yeah. Yeah. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like. It's like the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the guy from Arachnophobia, I can't remember if it's Jeff, Jeff Bridges, that's not right, is it? Nope, it is not. No, it is not. It's the one from Dumb and Dumber. What is his fucking name? I'll be damned if I can pull it right now. I have sympathetic name forgetting if someone forgets a name I'm like, you know what I got you, I forgot that name too. No it's fine, don't worry. Don't worry. So Judy gets took by the military because she's got a fever but it's because she's pregnant she's been running a fever the whole time. I don't remember that happening but okay. You don't remember her getting took or you don't remember that happening, but okay. That's all. You don't remember her getting took or you don't remember running a fever while you were pregnant?
Starting point is 00:23:48 I don't remember a months long fever, no. No. But also, so they've also taken her assistant who is like a teenager. You talk about Becca? You talk about Becca? the virus like like Everyone else there seems to have the virus except for the two of them which I thought was interesting and by interesting I mean, I mean, we're living it in a way right now of like, oh, I know them. They don't have the virus. Right, right, right, right, right, right. I have a tangentral relationship to that person, probably not infected.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Probably fine. It's probably fine for me to bite this apple after them. You doing that? Bighting apples after people? Is that why I can't come over? You know me, my apple biting? You have to stop doing it though. There's a pandemic. Listen I'm part horse and I just can't help myself. Someone puts an apple in front of me, I'm gonna chop it. It's just I'm gonna stop putting my hand out with a bunch of oats in it. You're living sugar cubes on the table. I'm going to have to use my lips to pick them up. No.
Starting point is 00:25:06 That's upsetting. Oh yeah, that's upsetting. Fuck, I can't believe I have to touch a horse. Thank you everyone. I'm so scared. Okay, let's bring on quick, quick, quick. You know what else is spooky? Car washes are very spooky.
Starting point is 00:25:28 They are. Are they? Are they? Are they're in a car wash? Are they're in the car wash. They're getting hit by like, no. Are they're in the car wash. They're getting hit by like high-pressured water. Yeah, but maybe they're crazy's. See, the thing about this movie is like, the crazies are the bad guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys, th guys, th guys, th guys, th guys, th guys, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, but th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, the thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. they, they, they, they, they, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, they're, no, no, no, no, no, no, they're they're See, the thing about this movie is like,
Starting point is 00:25:47 the crazies are the bad guys, but only just, you know? Like, they're not that much of a threat. Yeah. Was this movie before or after the Walking Dead? Before? Before. Because I feel like it has a very Walking Dead vibe to it of like just obstacle after obstacle after obstacle.
Starting point is 00:26:11 And I hate that. I really don't enjoy watching that. And I hated that show as a result. I say that the, actually, the comic book may have been out by this point. What comic book? So, the Walking Dead. Oh, I don't, I do not realize it was. It it it. I. I. I the the the walking.. I the walking. I the walking. I the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking. the walking the walking the walking the walking the walking that, the walking, that, the thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, to thi, the comic book may have been out by this point. What comic book? So, The Walking Dead. Oh, I don't, I did not realize it was a comic book.
Starting point is 00:26:29 The TV show is based on a comic book. Oh, okay. Oh, we did skip over the pitchfork killings, which I really enjoyed. Oh, talk to me about that. So while Judy and Becca are strapped to tables because that's what the military military do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do. the military, the military, the military, the military, the military, their, their, their, their, their, their, they. they. they. thoomk, thi, their, their, thi, thi, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the, the, the, the, the, the, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, the.a, the.a, theat, thea.a.a.a.a.a.a.a. thea.a.a.a. thea. thea. thea, they. the. theto tables, because that's what the military do, they put them down with seat belts on their chest, which I really liked. Yeah, they're just seat belts. They're just little buckles. I went down to Home Depot and they just had a stock file
Starting point is 00:26:53 the seatbelts, so I got them to make gurneys. All right, Rick. They genuinely just went to a junkie. have. I just dropped out a doctor and her assistant. What do you got for me? And also like some people who may have an illness I guess or whatever. But Ben who was earlier treated like shit by the sheriff because it Ben was like the sheriff doesn't pay he gets coffee for free and the sheriff goes still paying for that parking ticket. Oh right he's the principal, the principal of this. Oh, the principal. Yeah. Yeah. So he's walking around honestly for that parking ticket. Oh, right. He's the principal. The principal of this. The principal.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Yeah. Yeah. So he's walking around, ummeously scraping a pitchfork, which is dragging blood. I like that. Mm-hmm. And he comes in and starts stabbing people and killing them and like stabbing them through the gurney that they're all, which I really appreciate it too. So when you're crazy, you get super strength. Oh yeah, yeah, you're crazy strong.
Starting point is 00:27:47 And sometimes you're fast and sometimes you're slow. And sometimes you're super vainy and sometimes you're just regular. And sometimes you're just Russell, who may or may not be ill. Yeah, and sometimes one of them had a golden eye for some reason. Yeah, what the fuck was that. I feel like they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. theeeeea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. th fuck was that? I think, I feel like they just could not flush out what the crazies were supposed to be, which is interesting because this movie had already been made. Yeah, well in that movie, if my memory serves correctly, everyone just looked like regular people, which made them more ominously crazy. I like when they're sneaking around it, there's like the people who are just punching a dumpster.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Why? Like what are they going to, what is that? What is that about? What is the, what are you doing? It made me think of that thing, was it Bruce Lee that used to punch trees to make his knuckles real hard? Oh God, I didn't know that. But that goes to what I'm saying here, where it's like you wouldn't punch a dumpster unless you were in some way compelled to do so, right? So like for them to be punching a dumpster, which is a very stupid thing to do, they must have lost like all sense of like sentience, right? But here's Russell being like, well, I can't do the formulae. I must thus Pythagorean theorem anymore, so I must be ill. I must die then.
Starting point is 00:29:07 It just like doesn't make any sense. As someone who has definitely punched dumpsters before, I own... What the fuck, Alan? Well, I only know that I have punched dumpsters by being told about it later, because I was blackout drunk. I do remember a period in your life where I could have imagined you punching a dumpster for sure. Yeah yeah yeah luckily I don't get blackout drunk anymore. It was during your knives at
Starting point is 00:29:33 parties phase. Yeah it was a that's what I like to call the low point. Yeah I remember. Let's not talk about it that's not funny this is a comedy podcast. You stuck with me and I love you for it. Oh, yeah, my friend forever. So while after the dumpster punching, we see that the military is like up to their game now, they're just shooting people that they think are infected and burning them in the streets. Can I tell you something? I love a flame thrower. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:30:00 I have a character in a thrffff has a flame thrower as a weapon and it is extremely dope and so seeing it in action I was like, oh yeah, I gotta use that more. Do you get a failure rate on that? Like how often does it not go off? It's star finder which is based on pathfinder rules so it goes off all the time it always goes off. If you had a flame throw in my call of Catholulu game you get like a 30% chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance chance thia percent percent percent percent percent percent percent percent percent percent percent th f f f f f f f f f f f f-a thia thia thia thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia thia I I I I I have thia I have thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi to have I have to have to have a thi thi to thi to thi thi to thi to thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi a flame throw in my call of Cathuloh game, you'd get like a 30% chance that thing not firing. For sure. So the military has destroyed all the police cruisers and put boots on all the cars, which I like because we'll come back for those later. Yeah, also, that's a lot of boots, and it takes a long time to boot a car. It's not just like a... I like to think that the Ogden Marsh
Starting point is 00:30:46 parking authority was like, mm-mm even during this you're not going to leave that out on the street for 24 hours. I like to imagine them putting that sticker that you like can't scrape off your window while the crazies are like coming at them with pitchforks and they're like no I will tell you what rules you violated, sirs. So they go back to the house to get some gear for their trip. And of course, Judy has to go into the nursery, which is surprisingly finished for how pregnant she is. She's like not even telling people pregnant yet. Uh-uh. In the nurseries. Yeah, there's the woman who is the wife of Rory. Right. And her son. Whose name like Chud or something? Yeah, why does
Starting point is 00:31:37 he have such a terrible name? Oh wait, it's Kurt. That's fine. Kurt's a good name. I like Kurt's a fun name. Why did I would have? I would have sworn it was? I was. I, I mean, it's like, the the, yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, there, there, there, there, there, there, there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, there, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the woman, the w. Yeah, the w. Yeah, the w. Yeah, there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's there's the woman, the woman,. Oh, that's fine. Kurt's a good name. I like Kurt's a fun name. Why did I mean, I would have sworn it was Chud. I think she calls him like Bubbs or something, which is why we think that. I think she's calling him something that is not Kurt. Maybe I was just thinking about Shud while watching this movie. Yeah, maybe. But I really like, so they attack the sheriff and his wife, and uh, they nail his hand to the floor.
Starting point is 00:32:14 But why do they just tie her up and gag her? Like, what are the goals of the crazies? I don't know. Okay. All right. Some of them are there to torture you. Some of them want to be used by you. Like I just, yeah, there's a... It doesn't affect everyone the same way, I guess.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Fine. Fine. Some crazies are plotting. Some are just golden-eyed. Yeah. But I like that scene a lot because there's two things that I liked about it. When he pulls his hand off the floor with a knife in it and stabs the woman in the throat, I was like, that's badass.
Starting point is 00:32:57 That's badass. It wouldn't work, but that's dope. The second part of that is there's an infectious disease going around. You have put a bloody knife into someone's throat. Now you were pulling it out through your own hand. It's fine. He's going to be fine. He's totally fine. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Judy's going to prescribe him some penicillin for this. If I were her, every day, be like, hey, you're feeling alright? Do you want some fucking penicillin? Walk out of the room. He's like, honey, what's all over this spaghetti that you made? And she's like, penicillin, fuck you. Um, can I tell you something that I really like about their house? He has a gas grill and a charcoal grill. You never know what you're going to need.
Starting point is 00:33:45 You never know what you're going to need. What do you do with a smoked brisket? You might need it. It's true. You want to get that good mesquite flavor in there? You can't do it with gas. You're right about the nursery. That is very weird.
Starting point is 00:34:00 Knowing multiple people that have had kids, the nurseries finished like right around the duty, right around the duty, you're like we have to fucking put this dresser together because we have nowhere to put clothes, yeah. You're not. They wallpapered that shit. It was wallpapered. The mobile was up. Yeah, no. The mobile was up. Yeah, no. I don't even think they're far enough along to know... Yeah, anyway. It doesn't. It. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. the the the the the the the the the the that. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We have. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. We. It. It. It. It, the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th, the th, th, the the th, to the the th, we have the the the th, we have the the the the the th. We have even think they're far enough along to know... Yeah, anyway. It doesn't mean. Anywho.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Anyway. So they get out of the house. They get moving with the old cruiser that was on blocks, but uh, what's his name, Steve, Ricky? Russell? Russell? Is he able to put four tires on a car, no problemo? I mean, I wish I had that kind of skill. That would be an all-day affair for me at best.
Starting point is 00:34:52 You know how to change a tire? Loosely. I don't know how to change a tire. I opened my phone and I dial triple A. Yeah. I think I would just like put the jack under the car and probably put it in the wrong place and just fuck the whole thing up, right? Yeah, I think my anxiety keeps me from putting a jack under a car. I'm like, I'm gonna bend the frame, the car's gonna flip in half and eat me.
Starting point is 00:35:15 I don't know what's gonna happen. I don't even know if I have a jack. Do they come with the car? Yeah, yeah. Cool. Where would it be? It's in your trunk, most likely? There's no, it's definitely not in my trunk. There's probably a flap underneath the bottom of your trunk that has your spare and your stuff in it? No shit. Yeah, yeah. Can I put other stuff in there?
Starting point is 00:35:37 Sure. Yeah. Yeah. What the caramel What do you put a whole bunch of rollo's back there? Rollos? The candy and the caramel inside? No, it's going to melt, you fool. I can't keep my milkshakes back there.
Starting point is 00:35:55 So, they get to moving, they go through the car wash, the car gets blown up by like a Black Hawk helicopter. I like those Apaches, they are cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Was that what it was in Apache? I only know that because Rob said it. Oh, okay. I was just thinking Black Hawk down.
Starting point is 00:36:17 I don't know what that means. It's a movie about a helicopter that crashes in Somalia. Is it good? I mean, it's fine. I think Orlando Bloom's in it. It's real racist, if I remember correctly. Oh, wouldn't. No. Yes to the Orlando Bloom, no to the racism. Isn't he married to somebody famous?
Starting point is 00:36:45 I think he's getting married to Katie Perry. I don't know if it happened yet. Oh, congrats. Yeah. So the car's blown up. Russell's now in full dick mode. No, here's the thing though. It just seems like any time you sass-mouth someone, it's like considered that you might be sick. Like all you have to do is be sassy and everyone's like well I guess you have the
Starting point is 00:37:07 illness which is very like weird and like weird like puritanical somehow you know like the devil's inside you. I feel like this movie was written by my aunt. Oh you're sass in me you got the devil in you and it's a disease. Uh, so the encounter like this fed or military police or I don't know what he is. We never get to find out because Russell shoots the guy right before he tells them what's going on. Yeah, why does he do that? Because he's got an infection? Yeah. I don't think he does though. I think he's just really stressed out. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi thi. the thi's the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. the te te. teo. tea. tea. tea. tea. the. the. the. the. the. the infection. I don't think he does though. I think he's just really stressed out. I think he's just having a really hard day and he doesn't like being a third wheel. And it's just hard for him.
Starting point is 00:37:54 It's not like they're in the backseat making out while he's driving them around. Well, as soon as Becca dies, which happens because she gets hanged in the car wash. Oh, yeah, that was pretty good. Yeah, I thought that was pretty good. After witnessing her boyfriend and his mother be shot and then flamet thrown by military people. The double-bagged military in their gas mask and hazmat suits. So silly.
Starting point is 00:38:23 So, Russell's going to kill him or something he makes them walk while he takes all the guns. Yeah I think he just snaps. Yeah. It's his fault. And then he's like oh wait no I'm cool again and he is a diversion so they can escape to the quickie mart on the side of the highway Right because they do this like slow-mo dramatic music as he gets killed Which I don't understand why he empties his like he dumps all the bullets out of his gun. I don't know like was he? I just don't trust myself not to shoot these people? Then shoot them, who cares? Uh, so am I wrong? No, I think it's fine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Okay, thanks. They're, uh... Are you sassin me? Oh my god, to the quick, or what is it called, like, quick fills, but it's Phil's name? Oh, I just got that. Because the sheriff is convinced that that's where everyone's going to be, because that's where everyone was earlier. Right, it seems to a full day has passed. They were putting them on buses. Do you think the buses are just idling there? Your, no wonder your wife thinks you're stupid. I wonder how many crimes have gone unsolved in this town because it's like, I went to the bank. The bank robbers were not still there.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Sheriff, that happened on Tuesday. It's Saturday. The bank is closed. I'm sorry. Bank robbers are at the bank. thia th. th. th. thia. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. th. thi. th. th. thi. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiol- thiol-s, thiol-s. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th closed. I'm sorry. Bank robbers are at the bank. That's how bank robbing works What a fucking idiot. Penicillin! What's penicillin ever done for anyone? So we've encountered these like human hunters earlier. And now they have gone to quick fills with an entire truckload of humanity that they killed. Are they crazies? Yeah oh yeah their faces are real men. These are the type of crazies that their faces have started changing. Okay okay okay okay okay. And so there's like a whole escape the cannibals thing
Starting point is 00:40:46 that happens here, which they do. Right. And then they're driving away in this big rig. Well, first they have, um, they have a Hell Hells LLC where there's like a guy just standing there in the darkness, like in the background. And then when it pans back, he's gone. I was like, that's hell hell hell, the hell, the hell, the hell, th hell, th hell, th hell, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the hell, th. th. their th. their th. th. their their. th. th. their, their, their, their, their's, their's, their is. their. their. their. their. their. their. they. they. they. they. they. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their. their. th. th. their. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. the they. they. they. they. th. th. th. there in the darkness, like in the background, and then when it pans back, he's gone. I was like, oh, that's Hell Hell's LLC, and I liked that movie. I was hoping that it was gonna be
Starting point is 00:41:09 where we figured out the one of them is Jesus. Yeah, Cognetti. Remember how that guy from the third movie commented on our Instagram when we made fun of his walking? That made me feel really th that that that th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the th the the the the to the the to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the to to the the the the the the the the the the. We have to remember that we're talking about real people. So tell Timothy Oliphant, I'm sorry. I'm sure you're listening. Come rub that tummy, Doc. Let's do this. Alan wants you to rub his tummy. I don't want you to toumine. is that okay okay okay thank you we can listen to the misfits and
Starting point is 00:41:45 hang out legit yeah yes yeah they have this whole like they have to escape these guys and it's a tense I actually liked this part of the movie I thought it was a good action movie at this point where they're like trying to get the the find the keys and yeah yeah yeah yeah that stuff was I thou th was I tho it it it it it th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th tho tho that that tho tho tho tho tho tho the the the the the the the the the th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th the the the the the thou the the the thou the thou the the thou the the thou the the the the thou the the the to get the find the keys and yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That stuff was I thought was fun. So they get the big rig, they drive away and as they're driving away, Ogden Marsh gets nuked. Yeah, they're driving faster and faster and faster because the truck has like 40 gears, I think.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Oh yeah, he just keeps shifting. Yeah, you got that double clutch. Is that real? Yeah yeah, there's something about a double clutch in the big rigs, yeah. Did you learn that from over the top? Of course I did. I turned my hat around. I'm like a machine. Yeah, like this machine. It's like a switch flips. Oh my god, we shouldn't have done that movie again. That was the, like the, like the, like the, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. That was the, like the, when we had to edit out music for Spotify, that was my saddest moment of just being like, the opening to that was like my magnum opus. Oh my god, that's right. You did like the sound of a truck starting and then an engine idling,
Starting point is 00:42:58 and then a radio sound of meet me halfway across the sky. If you guys didn't th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thou thus thou thused, thused the sky. If you guys didn't hear that in its original run, you fucking missed it. It was really good. And then it like faded up into the actual song. I was like, I was so proud of that. Man, if we still have that file somewhere, we should just put it out there and like, fuck you, Kenny Loggins or whoever, Sammy Hagar,
Starting point is 00:43:16 I don't remember who it is. One of you. Some white guy with his own tequila. Yes, exactly. So they drop a nuclear bomb and it flips the truck. It's a serious accident. But they're fine. You would most definitely be dead. Neither of them has a seatbelt on and they get flipped several times in the cab of a semi. Not even counting the fact that there is ash falling from the sky and the heat wave from that probably would have burnt them alive. Right, it's fucking like it's not oh it's not oh it's not, it's not, no, you're not okay. They just walk away holding hands. It's like the power of love saves them, which is gross.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Oh, now you're bringing up Huey Lewis. Yeah. Hewie, if you're listening, hey. Hey. So they're going to start a new life in Cedar Rapids. Beautiful city. Haven't been there in years, but it was delightful. Is it? I've heard nice things about a... Nope, thinking of Des Moines, sorry. But as they're walking into Cedar Rapids, and they're like, well, let's just start a whole new life. Zoom back out onto the sky.
Starting point is 00:44:41 And the airplane satellite thing again is like, Cedar Rapids, population 300,000, buy y'all. They're all going to get bloated up now too. Yeah, it's the initiate containment protocol. Like really you're going to kill everybody in Cedar Rapids. I think people will notice. And I just love the idea that like it's's their fault that everyone's gonna die. That, I do like, a lot.
Starting point is 00:45:09 Oh boy, oh boy. That movie was crazy! Boy. You want to rate it? I do. You want to go first. You go first. I have a feeling that I like this movie more than you did.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Yeah. This is my second time watching it. It was, it's fine. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. It's thi. It's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, I, I, I, I, I, I like, I like, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, like, it. It's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's thi. It's like, thi. It's like, thi. It's like, thi. It's like, thi. It's like, thi. It's like, thi. It's like, it's like,this movie more than you did. Yeah. This is my second time watching it. It was it's fine. It's fun. It's a it's very much of that era of the mid- like 2010 and around that time. Everything was it either sepia or gray tone it felt like. For sure. They were like that's the Midwest though. That's just what it looks like. Sunlight just doesn't permeate there. I'd give this movie a 7. I thought it was fine. What? That is so optimistic. I have a feeling that it's being clouded by my love of Justified.
Starting point is 00:46:01 That's fine. How about you? I mean, I liked parts of this movie. I liked the violence quite a bit. I liked all the weaponry. I don't like the fact that none of Timothy Olfant's lines seem to be coming out of his mouth. I don't like the fact that Russell wasn't seemingly sick and he just died for no reason. I don't like the fact that she wasn't seemingly sick and he just died for no reason. I don't like the fact that she was a doctor and never got to use it. It just doesn't like, it was just so poorly planned and poorly executed. I think this is a five for, no, it's a four and a half for me.
Starting point is 00:46:41 It's just like, if someone wanted to watch this, I'd be like, no, thanks. So basically our review is, how you feel about two of the all fun? Yeah, basically, yeah. And that, and my review of him is, thought I liked him more than I do. He's making a lot of weird, like, he is making a lot of weird, weird faces in this movie I have to say. Oh that is his bread and butter. He is a man of weird like he is constantly flummoxed perplexed and confused by
Starting point is 00:47:10 whoever is talking to him. That's what it is. He's very flummoxed perplexed and confused for sure. What? That? You're doing it right now you're doing a perfect Timothy elephant. Oh god. You need to open your eyes wider though, I think. Do it again. Huh? There it is. Perfect. Yeah. And I need like three days of growth of beard at all times. Yeah. Handsome, son of a, son of a... I need to watch that Santa Clarita diet TV show the Tim and Drew Barrymore. People liked that, I think. Yeah, I've heard, I know people were sad that it got canceled.
Starting point is 00:47:47 I'll check it out. I love him. Maybe he's playing a sheriff in it. Maybe if you just keep watching his shows, he'll come over and rub your tum, maybe. I don't know, now in the time of like everyone doing came to their tum-a-o'er, tm, tm, tm, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, tom, t. tom, tt, t, tt, tha, tha, to-a, tom, tha, tha, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, t, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, the, and, the, and, the, the, the, tod, tod, tod-s, tod-s, tod-s, tode-s-s, tode-s, today, today, today, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, together, in the time of like everyone doing cameo and stuff, where you can pay him $500 and send you a birthday message, maybe there's like a $1,000 level where Tim and the Altham will come over and rub your tummy? Do you think he makes that face while he's doing though where he's just like, what am I doing? If he doesn't, I'm disappointed. Yeah, you're like, listen, I didn't pay you to look to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the their their th. th. th. Speaking of being part of this, what are we doing next week? Well, we were going to do a different movie, and then Alan emailed me midweek and said, You want to do crawl instead? And I thought, sure, I don't know what that is.
Starting point is 00:50:34 He said, it's about a crocodile, and I said, great, a crocodile, I'll do that. Then I watched it and I was like, what? What? Are you joking? Mary Peppers? I have a feeling we're going to have a very different reaction to this movie as well. Well, find out next week. That movie is free everywhere, seemingly, so go watch it. Yeah, yeah.
