Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, and welcome to another episode of Weirwolf Ambulance. I'm Alan and evidently a horse. It's not the way you're saying it, that's funny, it's that you shrug your shoulders and raise your hands. I don't know what that is today. Hello! La la la la la. Hi, I'm Alan and I'm here with what I do. Hello! La la la la. Hi, I'm Alan and I'm here with my friend Katie. Hello, Katie. Hey, Alan.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Sorry, I didn't cut you off there. No, it's fine. You think after 60 episodes we'd be good at this, and yet... It's a struggle. I still get nervous before everyone. But this is a, this is the most beautiful season of the year, Katie. Yeah, this is our second annual holiday times episode. We did Sally Night Deadly Night last year. Yes.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Which is a mean Christmas movie. A very mean Christmas movie. And this year, we're doing a mean. We're doing a mean Christmas movie. I guess is there a Christmas horror movie that's not entirely mean? Gremlins. Is that a horror movie? Yeah. Really? Yeah, come on. I was like three.
Starting point is 00:01:08 It's a little monster movie. But you just go so cute and he's all, me, me, me, yeah. But there's that story about how the girl's dad died in their chimney because he dressed him as Santa Claus. Oh my god. that what the fuck yeah that's super fucked up yeah that's horrific yeah it's a horror movie yeah I guess you're right that's a good segue because the film we're gonna talk about still in theaters yeah as of this recording
Starting point is 00:01:35 yeah probably through the end of the month I would think so crampus crampus movie heavily influenced by Gremlins you know what I like about crompus as a concept is that you know Eastern Europe has had him for like thousands of years? A long time yeah and America like just fucking found out and we're like took this shit out I saw on Facebook like what's you every crampers you see crampers you see crampers. Yeah when did you first hear about Crampus? Probably several years ago.
Starting point is 00:02:09 I mean like I got on the ground floor of Crompus. No, like three or four years ago, my friend Christina found a video of the parade that happens in Austria every year, which is fucking terrifying and amazing. And I'll link the video to our social media so you guys can see it. Yeah. I was in my 30s. I got th. th. th. to to to to to to th. to th. to th. th. to th. th. th. to th. th. th. th. th. too too too too too too too to to to too the the the th. thi first first to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the their th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I got I got to it late to the game for... I mean like in terms of thousands of years or in terms of being Austria-Bavarian? In terms of a dude who hated Christmas for a really long time? Oh yeah. It feels like a Krampus is my dude. Yeah. Yeah, I think he's a great release for all of us who are terrible. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi's thi. thi's the the thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thus thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the the the the the the the the the to to to to to thousand, to to theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea. thea thousand thrible at Christmas. It's true. I was thinking about this actually because I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas the other day. And I was thinking about how we are basically the towns.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Yeah, totally we're the townspeople of Halloween Town where we're like, let's celebrate Christmas by watching people get ripped apart. Not always so fun. It is a movie that I th that I that I that I think that I think that I think that I think think think that I thinks thinks thinks thinks thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I'm thi, I thi, I thi, I th. I was thi. I was thi. I was that I think speaks to a certain type of personality. Yeah. Like on a profound level. Yeah. I mean, I'm a grown-ass man who loves watching a child's movie. That is not a movie for children, is it? Yeah, that's a kid's movies. She keeps disconnecting her arms and legs.
Starting point is 00:03:16 That's not very childlike. Yeah, but yeah. I don't know. Pinochio is a tian. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. to to to to to too. toeeeeeea. toea. toea. toea. toea. toean. that's that's that's thean. thi. thi. too. My boy turns into a donkey. What? I have not seen Pinocchio since I was very young. So maybe I should see it again. Ah, fucking. I don't know. What else I've never seen, like a Peter Pan movie? I don't even know what the Peter Pan movie? I don't even know what the Peter Pan movie? I have you never seen Hook? I don't know. Interesting. I feel like Hook would have... Robin Williams? I literally was afraid of Robin Williams growing up.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Terrifying man. Robin RIP Williams? Oh, you know, you finger close. I was really sad when he died. I was really sad when he died. Oh yeah, I mean, I's just so exuberant. He's really hair-suit and insane. Yeah, that's probably it. Yeah, so he's like a scary, scary bear man.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Yeah, scary bare men are scary. But today we're here not to talk about scary bear men, but scary snow devils. Yeah. Scary bad Santa Clauses. So this is a movie that we saw in the theater, which was fun. Yeah, it was a good time. We went together. We did, it was fun. I have no notes on it because you can't really take notes in a movie theater.
Starting point is 00:04:30 No. You don't want to be that guy. One of my cousins just told me recently that he brought an egg salad sandwich. And I was like, you're a leol of thiiiiiiiii. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. tho-a. tho-a. tho-a tho-a thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. t. t. t. t. t. t. toge. toge. toge. toge. toge. toge. toge toge to. to. to. to. to's movie experience. He brought a fart between two freezes of bread. And I was like, did you think that, like, the paper rattling would annoy people? And he's like, oh, it's in a clam shell. Oh, so he thought it had. Yeah. And I brought, oh, Spearman leaves because I'm a hundred and 19 years of soda, which made it hard for me to tell if this movie was actually building tension or if I was just like gotta go the
Starting point is 00:05:07 bathroom, gotta go the bathroom, gotta go the bathroom. That soda was the size of your fucking head. I know and I drank every last bit of it. I know they're a the last bit of it. They just upsell you so hard. Yeah. It was a... That was their small there. No, I don't know. Who fucking knows? Movies, am I right? It cost me $31 to see this movie, so... I don't know. So Krapus, I really enjoyed the opening to it. Yeah, I thought it was a really nice introduction to Christmas times movie.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Yeah. letting you know that this was a, this wasn't your grandpa's Christmas movie. This was not a miracle on 34th Street. I've never seen that either. Is it even 34th? 43th? Which is it? We should do another podcast of all the movies you haven't seen? Like those like heartwarming child movies that I never got a chance to enjoy? It's a wonderful Katie? I've never seen it's a wonderful life? Why would I see that? I'm miserable, I'm a th. I'm a miserable, I'm a miserable, I'm a miserable, I'm a miserable, I'm a thiiii. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a thi. I'm a th. I'm a th. I'm a thi, I'm a thi. I'm a th. I'm a th. I've a th. I've a thi. I've a thi, I'm a thi, I'm a thi, thi, thi, thi. th. th. I'm a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I'm a th. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. thii. thi. thi. see that? I'm miserable and depressed. I don't know. I'm miserable and depressed. I've seen that movie multiple times. Do you want to see who can out-missary each other? Happy holidays?
Starting point is 00:06:14 So we open on a sort of slow montage of people beating the shit out of each other on assume the Black Friday sale. Yeah, just like busting into a department store and trampling the employees and... And each other in fist fights and fighting over tele. It was a little too close to home because all this shit had just happened. Like we saw it on December 5th. So it was right after all of that nonsense. And it is nonsense. What do you people doing? Although I feel like I didn't hear that much Black Friday crap this year. I think maybe it's, is it dying down as a, no? Why did I think that?
Starting point is 00:06:46 No, there was a bunch this year. Oh, they can eat a dick. You heard a media Black Friday out. I guess so. Yeah, smart. It's hard to hear about Black Friday when all you're watching is British crime shiks. about it. A foils war does not mention blackbody sales. Through this montage of people beating the shit out of each other, we get to a pageant of some sort of children's pageant, Christmas pageant where we see Adam Scott running up to the stage to stop his son from getting
Starting point is 00:07:16 the shit kicked out of him and in the play. Yeah. And Tony Colette's there as well. I love Tony Colette. Yeah, she's great. I really like Adam Scott too. I was concerned. I was to to to to to to to to to to to to th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I was concerned th. I was concerned th. I was concerned th. I was th. I was th. I was th. I'm their. I'm their. I'm their. I'm their. I'm their. I'm th. I'm th. I'm th. I'm to. I'm to. I'm to. I'm to. I to. I to. I to. I to. I to. I to. I'm to. I'm to. I'm to. I'm to. I'm to. I'm to. I love Tony Colett. Yeah, she's great. I really like Adam Scott too. Yeah, I was concerned about him being a lead in a horror movie. Yeah. Because he's so like... Nah. He's very like one-nody. Yeah, very dead pan, I guess. But I thought he actually did really nice job to me. Basically, the premise is that they are having Christmas at their house, and Tony Kullets, Sarah is her name. Her sister, Linda, is coming to visit with her husband Howard, and they have all these fucking kids. So there's like 47 children in this movie. You know, and I was like, are they gonna kill them all?
Starting point is 00:07:58 Like, it was a weird thing of like, you have this many kids. They are a large portion of the castea ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta, ta, tha, tha, tha, tha, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, tho, tho, tho, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, is, thi, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, thi, is, thi, thi, thi, thi. toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. thi, is, is, is many kids, they are a large portion of the cast, are they gonna die? Yeah. The answer is, kinda, yeah. Oh yeah, we're gonna spoil the shit out of this movie. You shouldn't know that. Allison Tolman, Linda, she's in the Fargo TV show, the first season of that, and she's fantastic. I feel like she was the only character who was like not a jerk. Yeah, also. But they're all like, her husband is a jerk, but Adam Scott and
Starting point is 00:08:25 Tony Colette's characters are not exactly jerks, but just like... Yeah, they're in a sort of miserable part of their relationship and they're kind of like... And they're super waspi. Oh yeah. There's an aunt that shows up to be the drunk character in the movie. Oh yeah. And she walks in and what she thin, like the th. And she says, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what's, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, what, they, they, they, they, they, they, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, their, they. Yeah, they, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. Yeah, their, th. Yeah, their, their lies. That woman's name is Kinshata Farrell. Kanshata. We meet the character Omi as well, which is the grandma. Oh, I love Omy. Oh, I'm such warm feelings, sir. Hi, Nanna. I'll see you in a few days for the Feast of Seven Fishes. Ah, yeah. I'm gonna stink up that house. It smells like cod. Not god. Cod. It smells like God in here. I'm burning that incense.
Starting point is 00:09:10 So, like, you know, most of us going to hang out with your family for, when they're together for like five fucking days before Christmas? Why were they there so early? I don't know. But that sounds like a knock to me. No, that... I'm a two hours and out kind of guy, so just setting up the tension even more like ratcheting that up a notch. Yeah. So the son who was getting into a fight at the beginning of the movie is Max.
Starting point is 00:09:36 He's adorable. Great name for a kid in a horror movie. And he writes this letter to Santa Claus. It's a very heartfelt letter, just a heartbreaking, like, that he wants his parents to be in love again. Right. We find the letter out when the two mean tomboy cousins. Yeah, who are upset because the Steelers lost? I was like, are these assholes from Pittsburgh? Of course, of course your bumpest family is from Pittsburgh? You know what I mean? Like with this movie being very much a very the bumping the bumping the bump the bump the bumps the bump the bumps the bumps f f f f fumumumumumumumumumum, the bump, the bump the bump, the bump thus fum, thus fum, thus fum, thus fum, thus fum- thus, thus, thus fum-s thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus, thus th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi the the the thea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea thea the thi very having a very much a throwback feel having the bumpesses be from Pittsburgh was totally like oh yeah in an 80s movie of course the fucking numbskulls are gonna be from Pittsburgh.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Yeah so the tomboi cousins who are Stevie and Jordan and there's like a subplot that their dad really wants them to be boys. Yeah which we find out in that he wishes he wishes he writes he writes he writes he writes he writes he writes he writes to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the to to to the the to the to the to the to their their their their their their their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the the the the the the the the the the the their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. t. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. tom. that he wishes that he would stop trying to make them into blank, which is really sad. And there's the other brother Howie Jr. who has no lines of dialogue? Not a single line. He's just there to be fat-shamed? Yeah, he's in like 75% of the scenes. No lines. Just gazes blankly into the camera.
Starting point is 00:10:40 I don't know. Just looking hungry. I don't know. Yeah, that's where we learn all the stuff that Katie was saying about how sad this letter is to Santa. And the part where he's, yeah, where he says he just wants his parents to get along. I was like, oh, I'm just going to break down now. So I'm just going to break down and to the try. Yeah, this is the second horror movie where I have almost cried. But that. th th th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th th th th th th th th th th thi that thi that this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this this thi thi thi th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi tha tha tha that tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha tha this letter, and then he throws out the window, tears it out the window, tears it out the window. Yeah, little Max chucks it out the window and it gets swirled up into the air. After Omi has told him that he should mail it, you should mail the Santa, don't stop believing. She gets all journey on it. Yeah, I just running out of it.
Starting point is 00:11:26 So as he throws it out the window, the snowstorm descends, the power goes out and is a really cool scene actually. We just see like the grid basically go down. And then when they wake up, there's no heat or power. They're just in the dark and Omi's feeding the fire and she knows what's going on, and she knows what's going on. to be a the fire. the fire. the fire. the fire. their. their. their. I. their. I. their. I. I's thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. I's thi. thi. I's thi. Oh. Oh. Oh, thi. Oh, th. Oh, thi. thi. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. That just come out of nowhere? Yeah, they don't do anything. They don't like grab at anyone. They don't move, they don't wink.
Starting point is 00:11:51 They don't do any of that like cheesy kind of horror movie. Stuff, they just keep appearing and looking like really sad. They have like sad faces and I really sad faces and I really liked. they they they they they they they they they they they they Jack Frost? You know I've only seen the Michael Keaton movie Jack Frost. There's a really bad horror movie called Jack Frost and yeah, it's a snowman that you don't want to encounter. It's... Well so I mean so it's Michael Keaton. Oh really? It's not sweet and hard. No. He's like a rock and roller. If I recall correctly. It turns it to a snowman? Yeah. That's basically the plot. So yeah, these snowmen started bearing in the front yard. And Max's sister, Beth, wants to go find her boyfriend. As any good 14-year-old girl would.
Starting point is 00:12:35 What the fuck? Don't let her out of the house in the snow store? I know. They're really like, well, she'll be fine. Like, it's fucking freezing outside. She is the opposite of fine, because here's the first big spoiler, that fucking dies. Yeah, what? I was stunned by this. Yeah. Because I was like, oh, this girl is going to be a main character.
Starting point is 00:12:52 15 minutes in, foot! Because she's great. Like, she's totally the loving, older sister, yeah. Yeah, as a little brother, I couldn't imagine the exasperation that I bestowed upon my older sister. So she runs out, oh, but when she goes out to leave, that's when they find that bag of presents that's by the front door. Oh, right? Because DHHL comes to drop some stuff off. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, because that comes back to hunt. Right. thaune. that's the best scenes of th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. their th. the. Totally terrifying. When he's, Crompus is jumping from rooftop to a rooftop? Yeah. Horrifying.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Cool-looking Crampus. I will say all the monsters in this are really awesome looking. What's your thought on the gingerbreadman? I mean, they're the weak link. They're the're all CGI. And they're the only thing that's really super CG-I'd? As we encounter later in the movie, there's a killer teddy bear, there's like a snow or a tree topper angel. There's a jack in the box.
Starting point is 00:13:53 And then there's a giant thing that like swallows children? That's the jack in the season of Star Wars. Oh yeah I heard. What is it? What is it? It's Star Wars 37? Chubaca's Delight I believe is the name of the film aka Makin' Wookie. I bet that does super well at the box office. I'm gonna see it twice. I'm gonna see it twice. I'm th a a a th. I'm like. I'm a see it twice. There's this awesome throwback to like almost like a poltergeist feel to it because she's underneath of a truck and the crampus is stomping around outside and then... He jingling he jingles. I like that a lot. I think that's a really nice effect. And then the jack in the box starts. But it's like slow and just kind of on the tongue, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, oh, look at that, look what that just said. Oh, man. Goosebums, got goose bums. Oh, we should have done that movie.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Goosebumbs with Jack Black in it, huh? That just came out. No, I have the goosebumps series in my list on Netflix. Was there a series? in like Friday night television form. Yeah, they just did a goosebumps movie as well with Jack Black. Well, I'm glad Jack Black's doing something, I guess. Always looking out for Jack Black. But we don't see Beth's death scene. No.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I kept thinking she might come back. Yeah, she never comes back. Until, but we'll get to that later. OK. So we go back to the house where now, dead Adam Scott, and to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. to. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the th. th. the the th. the the the th. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. the. the. the. the. theat. thea. things. things. things. things. things. things. things. things. thea. thea. thea. thea. thea. that later. Okay. So we go back to the house where now Dad Adam Scott and Tony Collette are worried because Beth has not come back after many hours of past. And as has been set up earlier, David Keckner Howard. His family are very, they're the right-wing side of the family. They're the Humvee driving, gun having like Steelers fans. I didn't say that's the stealers.. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. Starting point is 00:15:45 I can, yeah. She's right. I'm right. So yeah, so Adam Scott says, hey, Debbie Heckner, can we go out and find my daughter in your Humvee? Which, you know, they do. Sort of. Yeah. Well, they go out. They don't find a destroyed D. H.L. they find a destroyed D.H.L. truck. Yes. And the dude is frozen and terrified inside. Yeah. And then they find a wrecked snowplow that the window was busted in. That's right. And there's no body in that one. So they go to Beth's boyfriend's house and it's just destroyed. And there's like snow inside and there's a huge hole in the fireplace. Yeah. But they. there's like, the. the. the. the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. S. S. S. S. S. S. S. Yeah. And they hear her screaming, right? And that's why I was like, oh, they're going to find her.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Yeah, they heard her screaming on the street too, and they reminded me of that. Then they hear again screaming on the inside. And it's just like, whenthe snow and bites his leg. Like, yeah, it's super gross. Crampus tremmer. Yeah, there's a lot of tremors in this movie. Oh man, Tremors really make a comeback in this podcast with children of the corn and now this. Netflix, I'm sorry I keep talking about Netflix, the holiday season, give the gift of Netflix, the holiday season, the holiday season, the holiday season, the holiday season, and the holiday season, the holiday, and the holiday, and the holiday, the holiday, the holiday, the holiday, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is a... treme is a treme's, is, is. treme, treme, tremor, tremor's, tremor's, tremor, tremor's, tremor, tremor, is, is, is, is, is,. But it keeps recommending me tremors five and I keep being like do you don't know me at all you don't know me at
Starting point is 00:17:07 all. Tremors five. Cinco. Katie you've already seen the other four why not check out five? I have not. So Adam Scott's able to free Howard they run back to the house. Sand Beth which I was like oh dad keep looking dog and then when his wife is like no we have to go back out and find to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the the the the the the the the the the you you you you to you you don't know you don't know you don't know you don't know you don't know you don't know you don't know you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you to you to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to to the the to the to the to to the to to to to to to to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to know to to to to to to the the the the the the the the house, Sandbeth, which I was like, oh, dad, keep looking, dog? And then when his wife is like, no, we have to go back out and find her, he's like, eh. Yeah. They are not, I like, I feel like I say this about people in horror movies all the time, but they are not nearly upset enough that their daughter is missing in this storm. You could think like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, th, th, th, th, th, thi thi thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, thi, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi, thi, there. No, she is not. They have been there. She's dead. Your child is dead.
Starting point is 00:17:45 Yeah. And I wonder if that's- I would lose my fucking mind. Adam's got sort of thing is like acknowledging that that may be an option. So he's not, I guess. He's trying to keep and keep the fire going and falls asleep. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:06 And the fire goes out. And that's when she gets a reel. Yeah. So this hook descends down the fireplace. And it's a, you know, medieval looking hook. Yeah. It's a really good, as I said everything is. Everything is a gingerbread man hanging off the hook. t. t. t. t. t. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thu. tho. tho. tho. tho. tho. thoom. thi. the the thi. the the thoome, the hook. thoom. thoom. thoom. thi. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the the. the the. the th. th. th. th. th. thi. the. th. thi. th. it really is. And then there's a gingerbread man hanging off the hook and of course the lineless fat kid. I'm like oh I'm a fat kid I'm gonna go eat that gingerbread because I can't resist it. I would too. Who can
Starting point is 00:18:33 resist gingerbread? It's like a good holiday treat. I do love gingerbread. I have a lot of fat kid anger still. I know you do. I'm still mad that Horace pulled the. Pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza pizza. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm that. I'm that. I'm that. I'm that. I'm that that that that that that that. I'm that that that that that that that that that that that that I'm. I'm that I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm that. I'm that. I. I'm that. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm the. I'm. I'm the. I'm. I'm th. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I know you do. I'm still mad that Horace pulled the pizza out and put it on Dracula's face. But it was his, it like came to help him. I know, but not all fat kids walk around with pizza stuffed in their pockets. Yeah, I guess not. So he gets hooked and ripped out of the chimney, but just as he's going up, Adam Scott sees him. I think Tony I grab him. And they pull her. So everyone's kind of pulling her back down and there she's getting pulled up and she sees it she sees like this crazy come-to-life gingerbread monster. Yeah. He was just like heckle it and just like, heheckle and just like, he just gets pulled right up the fucking Jimmy. Yeah dead. told me to the. told? th. th. thin, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, th. the, the, the, th. th. th. th. th. th. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the. And, the. And, thea, thea, thea, thea. So, thea. So, thea. So, thea. So, thea, the. So, the. So, the. So, gone. So many kid murders. I was really shocked by that. I am, I mean, we can get into that again at the end, but I was really like, hmm. You've not seen Michael D'Arty's
Starting point is 00:19:31 previous horror movie, right? Trick-R-Treat. No, no, no, I've only ever seen the Ozzy Osbourne Trick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a great movie. Classic. Wait. Wa. thrific. the one from a th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. th. th. th. th. But I love the Ozzy one, Ozzy and Gene Simmons. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But the one from a few years ago, the Trick Our Treat that Michael Darty one. I like how you're saying it. Well, I really want to just differing. Just trick our treat. It's an R with an apostrophe. It's a werewool. It's a good. We're just, we're getting stale.
Starting point is 00:20:05 We get one per episode. All right. But that's also like, you know, mad kids dying in like gruesome-ass ways and just like, yeah, it's pretty brutal. I feel so weird about kids dying. I don't know. Yeah. I know we talked about this, I think in the blob episode where they fucking murder that child right on the screen. But, I. th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, that that that that that that that that that thi, thi, thi, that's that's that's that's that's thi, thi, that's thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi's thi's thi's thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii's thi's thi's thi's thi, thi about this I think in the blob episode where they fucking murder that child right on the screen. But I mean I guess it is what it is. Kids gotta die too. Yeah. I was just having a discussion about a let the right one in where the massive kid slaughter at the end of that movie.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Yeah. And I enjoyed that and felt like a total monster for enjoying that. That's what they want you to feel. Yeah. So this kid's dead. And then that's when Omi's like, uh, by the way, she's been speaking in German, I'm not sure. I think German. The whole time and then she starts to tell the story in English and the drunk aunt is like, English, I knew it. God, families. How long has Omi been faking the funk on this?. this??. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh. Oh, that's th. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, th. Oh, knew it. God, families. How long has Omi been faking the funk on this? No, I don't know. She's speaking German to just to the children.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Like, so she spoke English all along. Yeah, that's cool. But I mean, you know, living in a bilingual household is going to be beneficial to everyone. Of course. Yeah, I like that everyone spoke to her in English, but she always responded in German up until this point. So she tells the story about how when she was a little girl after the war, her village was like basically fuck Christmas, and Crompus came and took everyone except for her. And it's told in this really beautiful animation that I really loved. I really, really liked it. And it wasn't, it was her fault right, right? It was the, right? Like the reason Crampus came... She had somehow summoned him. She like was the final person to fuck Christmas, I think. She was the last holdout of fucking Christmas.
Starting point is 00:21:49 And so she, like he left her alive to be like, oh, you gotta take the story and he gave her the bell, the little Cranfus bell? Yeah. Does everybody know what Crompus is? I see if you're listening this episode you probably know. Yeah. Basically an ancient demon spirit, bad Santa who boils naughty children. Yeah, it takes them to hell. And he's sort of goat-like in his big horns. He looks like the devil mostly.
Starting point is 00:22:12 Sure. Yeah. He hangs out with Santa Claus. Like they're brows. Are they? They're like the, you know, they adorable. Fan art, go! Justin Gray. Justin Gray, I'm looking at you. I'm sorry that I feel bad that Justin Gray is forever having to illustrate idiotic things
Starting point is 00:22:33 that come out of our mouth. I still think about Channing Tate him as a fist and his drawing of it. It's very good. He made my dumb thing look nice. So, Omi says that she was left behind by Crompus as a reminder of what happens when people lose the Christmas spirit. Yeah. Which I'm starting to feel like very upset by because I don't have a lot of Crampus, crampus,
Starting point is 00:22:50 because I don't have a lot of Crumpus, crampus spirit, probably. Crimpus, you're talking about that Stephen Kang book? I feel like I don't have a lot of Christmas spirit as I obviously, obviously, obviously, obviously, obviously, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi Crump is gonna get me? Probably. Maybe that's why I'm bugging out and I'm trying to get as much Christmas spirit as I can this year. I guess. I put that terrifying light up Santa in my front yard. I touched it when I walked in today because I didn't want him to be angry with me because he has dead black eyes. things start to go like this is basically just attacks in the house I would say for a very long time. There's the jack in the box which is swallowing one of
Starting point is 00:23:28 the tomboy's hole. It gets huge and like huge. Yeah because they hear Beth again in the attic. So the tombys run up there. That's when we see like after the family runs up there that one of the girls is being eaten by this like in the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the the th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. It th. It th. It thi. It thi. It thi. It is thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's thi's is thi's is thi's is thi's is thi's is is thi's is thi. It is thi. It is thi. It is thi. It is thi. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is th. It is one th. It is one thin one the is one the is one the is one one the is the is the is the is the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the. It's the like, and the way it unhinged its jaw, where like the bottom of it just kind of pops off and there's a terrible monster underneath of it. I like that a lot. The things that are attacking the family in the scene are like largely puppets, right? Yeah. Yeah, which is great.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I love a fucking puppet. I think the gingerbread men I think have gotten a bad reviews, but I thought they were fine. They were cute and they're both cute and terrifying and getting blown apart by a shotgun. So I'm like, well, that's fine. I mean, I also think that it's 2015 and we're either going to have to learn to live with these things or... or... I mean, this is what it is. Yeah. I mean, the fact, th. I th. I th. Yeah, th. Yeah, th. th. th. th. Yeah, th. th. th. Yeah. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. that. th. th. th. th. th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And th. And the th. And the the the th. the the the th. the the th. the th. the the the th. they're th. th. th. th. the th. th. th. the fact that they're at least trying to do some practical effects, like, you know, after last week's American Wearewolf in London, like, I'm sorry, Anne, American Werew in London. You mean Amware? I love that. Amware on where am I just got that today.
Starting point is 00:24:35 I took me a couple days too. When it registered, I was like, damn girl, you're good. Gene. So the practical effects in that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that they're that they're they're th. th. they're th. the fact they're their they're their their their their their their, their, their, their, their, their, their am. their am. their am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am am. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. they're. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. I. I.wolf in London with Rick Baker, like they're so fucking good and like we're just not going to return to that. But the fact that we're using puppets at all is something. It's good. Yeah, it's super. I mean, yeah, I loved it. And I really like the design of them like, except for the angel I wasn't super into. She didn't have a lot of character. She just kind of kept flapping and pecking, sort of. Which, I think she just got a little too much screen time for what she was. Yeah, I thought the teddy bear was hilarious. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Just the giant teethed, gnashing teddy bear. This scene I took a little issue with, because it was a very long scene of them all being attacked by these things, but the th. th. th. But, but the th. But, but th, but th, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, they they they they was, thi, they was, thi, they was, thi, thi, thi, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. Yeah, I. I, I, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was. Yeah, I was like, I was like, I th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I that, I you know what I mean? Like they were just kind of like B-bib-bib-bib-bib-bib-bibbbbbb. That's what an attack sounds like. They run out the door basically, right? Is that when they leave? It's been like a week and a half since we saw this movie? Linda grabs the shotgun from Adam Scott and runs at what just ate her? Yeah. thinn't they th th th th th th th th th th they they they they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're they're their their their their their their their their their their their their their their they're they're they're they're their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their their that's that's that's that's that's that. tou. tou. They're tou-s. They're tou-s. tou-n't tou-s. tou-s. They're tou-s. They're th's the last we see of her. She may I think she gets out to the snow plow and and then she and Tony Collett both get taken at the same time because I think they have a quick like sisterly moment. Oh okay. Yeah. Okay. Because they're all trying to get to the snow plow. the snowing plow. But it th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th th that I that I that that that that that I I thin I that that that that that that that thi I thi I thi I thi I thi I thi I thi I thi I thi I I I I thi I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I th I I th I I th I th I th I th I th I th I th. I th. I th. I th. I thin I thin I thin I thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin thin Humvee was set on fire. Oh right, right, right, right. And that's why they had to get to the snowing plow. Before we get to the snowplow, though, this is the scene that almost made me cry. I don't know if it's just because you know I have a thing about grandmas or whatever, but when Omi stays in the house th you they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they thrain they're like three thatr and they're like thrown throw throwing that that that that th. And they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they're like they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they they're like they they're like that that that that that that, like that, like that, like that, like that that thrown thrown to thrown to thrown thrown to him. I was like, Yeah, hard-breaking. And then he takes her, he puts her in a sack.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Because her and Max are the two most likable characters in this movie. So this is when we meet Krampus face to face. And he gets real close to Omi and just like... We forgot to mention the little crampuses that are running around. Yeah, the th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th and th and thi thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, puts her, puts her, puts her, thi, running around, the little devil dudes that are like washing the house apart, is minions. He has a bunch of minions and they're sweet. Yeah, they're super cool looking. Yeah. There was a few that had like little pitchfork emblems on them and I was like, okay, well I guess
Starting point is 00:26:52 we'll do it, whatever. Well, make it literal. Yeah, you're going to Thornton kind. Is that who was bad Santa? I think so, yeah. I like that all Americans are dumb frat boys. It's not on Facebook. I'm sorry, I'm a monster. Simply having wonderful Christmas time.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Why would you do this? I don't know, because I hate myself and everything around me. That song makes me hope that That song is the worst. If like, that song makes me hope that Ringo is the last living beetle. Because this is what you deserve. This is what we deserve. That is the greatest thing I'm going to hear this week. I'm so glad I didn't take a drink right before you.
Starting point is 00:27:42 I wish you had spit to sit with that wet and then had to sit with that wet microphone screen for the rest of this episode. What did you think of Crampus once you saw him? Um, it was pretty much what I expected. Oh, really? Did you, you thought it would be different? I thought he would have a devil's face. I didn't expect him to have like a loose-fitting, human face? Yeah, I like that's, I liked liked liked liked liked, the wicked, the wicked, the wiiiii..... thi-a-a-a-a-s. That's thi-s. thi-s. thi-s. thi-s, thi-a-s, thi-a-a-s, thi-s, to-s, thi-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a like the agedness like the wizened old give-no-fucks guy. He legit looked like a creep-ass Santa. Yeah, yeah he was just yeah. He was just like Santa's gross
Starting point is 00:28:12 doppelganger. Because I figured he wouldn't have the traditional crumpus big tongue. You know? Did he? Yeah? What? Starting point is 00:28:40 They're taking people. Oh, I like dark elves. Yeah. Like the trowel. Like the trowel. Well, they really are. They're like his little minions the way elves, yeah. And people are getting pulled under the snow, tremor style. Yeah. And there's a ton more five style, I assume. Tonn more snowmen in the yard, including one that looks suspicious. We should have seen this movie like three or four times. I couldn't afford any more popcorn. So Max realizes like this, he's the reason this is happening.
Starting point is 00:29:10 For the Crampus season. So he has like a showdown with Crompus over a pit of fire where he's throwing the family members. He picks up one of the little girls and holds her over this pit of fire. And Max is like, take me instead, take me instead. And he just drops this girl into a pit of flames. I could not believe it. I was, duh, und.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Yeah, well he's got the bell. Omi has given him the Crampus bell. Yeah. And Crampus like points that out and like, then palms Max and lifts him. thims tha. th th th th th th th thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thum, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, tho, thi, I thi, tho, I tho, I thoes thoom. thoom- thoombs thoes thoes th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th, I th, I th, I th, I th, I that happens, though, I think before that happens. There's a quick shot of Max, like standing alone, I think next to the snowplow, and he hears Omi's voice in his head saying, Crumpus left me behind as a reminder of what happens when you lose your Christmas spirit. If I was thinking it was movie,
Starting point is 00:29:58 ended it right there. Credit's roll bleakest movie. Kids alone, in the dark, in the snow, family's dead. Home alone, but forever. Do you know what I mean? Home alone, last man on earth. Yeah, home alone, apocalypse. That was the scene where his mom had kicked him and his cousin out of the car, out out of the snowplow, like just being like, well, we're gonna die. So even bleaker, he just saw that his mom's th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, thi. thi. thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, and, thi, thi, thi, thi, th, th, thi, th, tho, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th, th. th. th. th. th. th. there, thi, there, thi, thi, thi, thi, and thi. threa, and threa, threa. threa. threaugh, and, threa, thea, and threa. thea. thea, thea, thi, the run. So even bleaker, he just saw that his mom's going to die. Yeah. I love that bleak ending of him standing alone in the dark. Not what happens. Yeah, we get like
Starting point is 00:30:29 three endings. It turns into Clue right here. Like who's the end of the return of the king at this point. Yeah, it just keeps going. Cl had such a fuck you moment about this, when this happened. Such a fuck you moment. Yeah. Because it was all a dream and he goes downstairs and his family's there opening gifts. And everyone's being sweet to each other.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Yeah, which is really nice. And there's like a, there's a lot of good jokes on it but then Max opens a gift and it's the crumpus the bell and then the camera zooms out to outside the house and you see that they're actually inside a snow globe right on a shelf in like a Crumpus house. Yeah. With like a billion other snow globes. Yeah. And that's how it ends.
Starting point is 00:31:29 What do you think about that? I liked it. Did you? I didn't. I went, I had the same fuck you thing if it's all the dream, and I was like, this had the fucking movie end, I'm going to be so bummed. And the fact that it it it it was that it was that it was like that it was like that it was like that it was like that it was like that it was like that it was like that it was like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, that's that's that it was like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's thi. that's that's that's that's that's th. that's thi. that's that's thi. that's thi. that's that's that's thi. that's that in a snow globe. Well, here's my question. Mm-hmm. Is the implication that they are now spending an eternity on Christmas morning with their family?
Starting point is 00:31:52 Or is it that, like, Crompus is just keeping an eye on them to make sure they don't fuck with that Christmas spirit? No, because when he unraps the bell, they all sort of like, everyone's demeanor changes. They remember. They remember. Yeah. And I think my personal theory is that they've been stuck in this snow globe since like the word jump. Once his letter got sucked up, they were gone though. But maybe not. Because it sort of seemed like at one point during the movie there was no escape for them. They could not get away from this. And it sort of seemed like the four houses, five houses in their street were sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort sort. So. So. So. to. to. to. to. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. their. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. Yeah. And it sort of seemed like the like like the four houses, five houses in their street were sort of where they were stuck. To Krampus, yeah. Has there ever been a good it was all a dream twist in a movie other than like a wizard
Starting point is 00:32:33 boss? Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. I'm gonna have to think on this one. Yeah, what about the Freddie movies? No, I mean nothing's springing to mind is like... Yeah, I can't think of anything. Well, hey, EMTs, if you can think of the movie that ends on, it was all a dream, and does it well, let us know. Yeah. Yeah, I can't think of anything. Yeah, all right, then we can move on.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Come on, guys, let us us. So, roe, ratings phase. I really liked this movie. I would like to see it again. The only thing is that since I saw this movie, My Ladies Nightmare Group, we watched Rare Exports. Oh, okay. Have you seen that? Which is a much better evil Santa movie. Also I cried during that last night, too. Oh, okay. Have you seen that? Yeah, yeah. Which is a much better evil Santa movie.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Also I cried during that last night, too. Oh, wow. When the kid says, Dad, what if I didn't exist? I got all the Christmas feels. I know. It's not even Christmas. It's just, God, I just feeling so hardly. they're just feeling thi. th. th. thi. thi. the thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. thi. that. to just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I just, I. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. thi. thi. thi. ttttoda. toda. toda. today. toda. today. today. today. today, today. today. to. tarnishing this for me right now is that I saw that and liked it so much more. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:50 But this is really good in terms of like just a fun way to spend two hours. Not even two hours. I think it's probably an hour and a half. Yeah, in and out. And again, I always think what I recommend is to someonethat is both yes. I'm going to give it a neat. Oh, nice. Yeah. It's interesting. You mentioned Rare Exports. I love the Rare Export Shorts. There's two like 20-minute long shorts that are all about hunting Santa Claus's. Yeah, that's what my friend Tesla was saying. It was her pick.
Starting point is 00:34:14 And they're really good. Yeah. I th I th th th th th th th th th turn in the last three minutes and you're like what the fuck just happened. Yeah. And then you're like oh I get it now that's the name of the movie. But yes you guys should see rare X-ports if you haven't seen it. But Krampis I really enjoyed it. Our friend Orrin Gray who responds to a lot of stuff on Facebook and stuff. Thanks for caring Orrin. Yeah thanks for He wrote a review of this and he like kind of summed up my thoughts on it like within this movie There's a better movie. Yeah, I think parts of it just aren't fully like realized Yeah, I think the short running time kind of hurts it for that too
Starting point is 00:34:52 I think it could have been fleshed out a little bit more, but I also think like much like Orrin said as well like I think multiple viewings thin thin. I think multiple view. the view, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, the thi, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, like, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, the the thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thi, thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, thi, thi, thi, little bit more. I think one thing that hurts it too is the trailer makes it look super scary. Right. And it's really not, it's really not that scary. There's no real like jumps and like there's creepy stuff but. Other than Beth's death, yeah. Yeah, which is in the trailer too where it's like come on to blow that. Yeah, I hate when that happens. I'll that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that. I hate that. I hate th. I th. I hate th. I th. I hate that. I hate th. th. th. th. th. that's really that's really that's really that's really that's really. I that's really. I that's really. I that's really. I that's really. I that. I that. I that. I that's really. I that's really. I that's really. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I th. I that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that that. It's really Cool. I would definitely come back to this. I'll probably pick it up on digital versatile disc and watch it again. Just to check it out. I like re-watching movies. Yeah, for sure. What the fuck else am I doing? Do you have a go-to Christmas movie or Christmas movies?
Starting point is 00:35:35 Like horror movies? Oh, no. Um, that's, I don't, I don't, I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't. I'm a. I don't. I'm. I don't. I'm. I don't. I'm a. I don't. I'm a. thr. thi. to. the. the. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. th. the. th. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. the. I. I. I. I. I'm. I. th. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I'm. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. I. th. th. th. th. the. the. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. th. the. the. the. the. the. I. I, that's right. You've never seen. We'll call this episode movies I've never seen. And I like to watch Gremlins every year as well, which is also an excellent Christmas movie. Yeah, I should watch Gremlins. You should. Especially, like, Gremlins is the better version of this movie on some level. But like, I still like that this movie but like... Black Christmas. Oh, Black Christmas. We were gonna do Black Christmas,
Starting point is 00:36:25 but we totally mixed up our weeks. And that was gonna be our Christmas episode, and then we realized this was our Christmas episode because we're fucking idiots. Next year. Calendar dummies. Yeah, weeks are hard. It's true.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Speaking of next week, We realized that we hadn't like tortured ourselves in a while. Although I guess prophecy might have been a little bit of torture, but we decided... Christopher Walken. Nope. No, that was better. That was good. Have you been working on that? God, imagine if I had been. I damn, I assume that you are. We are going to watch a movie from 2003 called Darkness Falls. Fucking Tooth Fairy.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Fucking Tooth Fairy. It's on Netflix, just watch it. Like, you got some time off probably over the next week or so. Yeah, we haven't watched a movie that we could completely destroy in a while. So we're hoping that this is that movie. And it just hasn't been like painful enough to watch the movies. You know what I mean, I haven't haven't th th th th th th th th th th th thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi thi that that that that that that, I that that that, that, that, to that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, th. th. that, th. that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, to to to to that, tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. th. t watch the movies. You know what I mean? Like I haven't... They haven't had a real zombie version of a while. I haven't just like felt like shit for while watching a movie for a while.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Is this that the goal of this podcast? I think the ones where I feel like shit and where you feel like shit, they're pretty funny. You know? That's where we get our best jokes is just from feeling terrible. Yeah. Yeah. So you can find we we we we we ambulance, Instagram, wear-wulf ambulance, Twitter, wear abulants. If you haven't heard some of our older episodes, go check them out. Oh yeah. Watch Silent Night, Deadly Night and listen to that episode, because that is a very weird movie. Noddy! It's a fucking weird episode. Yeah, I think it was just the idea of Christmas was just a lot to bear last year for some reason. I'm handling it much better this year. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking of Christmas, Katie, yeah. I love this ho-ho-hoing you're doing. I love it. I'm a chubby man with a gray beard. Oh, come on. I really am.
Starting point is 00:38:17 I've been called Santa Claus by children before. Really? I've been What do you say to them? Boom! I just punch them right in their child faces. Starting point is 00:39:49 stunned and impressed by the fact that these are handmade. The detail in these things is so nuts. We've got an 8-bit Mrs. Vorhe's sticker, kill her mommy! As seen in the infamous 1989 NES game from LJN. I have never played that and I can't believe that because that's so up my alley. Is that right in your wheelhouse? It really is. 3D, Jason print and glasses, a new dimension in terror. Oh, holy smokes, that's awesome. I'm going to open it up and do it.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Do it. Okay, while you're doing that, I'm going to read the next one. Jason takes Manhattan slasher magnet. Oh, that's second right there. That's the 10th and the series of exclusive slasher magnets that Cryptocurium is done. This is depicting Jason during his trip to the Big Apple. What? It's coming right now, hey. That rules. Wait, I want to try to. Whoa! That's kind of terrifying. Cool. Next up we have a demon worm pin inspired
