Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, this is Rachel McElroy. Hello, this is Griffin McElroy. And this is wonderful. And we're taking it to the streets on this one. Oh. Yeah, this one's going to be a voice of the people. It's a, oops, no research. I think about it like a democratic sort of experiment in sort of mass enthusiasm.
Starting point is 00:00:44 Yeah, we've done this before. This is maybe the second time that we've done this. We are going to turn it over to listener submissions. We're going to discuss these topics. Rachel had an unorthodox way of polling the crowd for this, which is just a Facebook poll. And so the subjects that we will be discussing will be, at times, brief.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Well, here's what I liked about the Facebook poll option. Yeah. Is that we could see like what other people were like, yeah, I like that. Wisdom of the masses. That's what I'm talking about. The end goal for Wonderful is to create a sort of hive mind. Like I don't like the term artificial intelligence
Starting point is 00:01:19 because it's real people put into a computer brain. Okay. Is it unethical sure yeah no definitely but well these people get to keep their ideas we don't own them now for now until the cyberization cyber we'll probably we're workshopping a different name because cyberization doesn't roll off the tongue and it sounds like sexual in a way, which is not the goal. We are doing this because we want to start including listener submissions back on the show. We have not said this email address in a long time. In fact, I had to look it up. But wonderfulpodcastatgmail.com.
Starting point is 00:02:00 Send in what your small wonder is, just a sentence or two, and we may read it on the show. We've been missing doing that. And, you know, it's time. Yeah. At the end of each episode, we used to have a little listener shout out. And it was nice. It was nice. We'd like to do that again.
Starting point is 00:02:16 So we are wonderfulpodcasts at gmail.com. Please keep it brief. I promise you it will not go on the show if it is too long. That's not to be a stickler about it. but, you know, we have to keep the runtime. There's only so much. My computer's memory is only so big. And these audio files are so much of them. And I don't know how to delete them.
Starting point is 00:02:35 No, nobody does. No one knows how to. You just take a computer when it's full. You throw it in the river. We haven't done Small Wonders yet, though. Oh, yeah, sure. Small Wonders. Man, hmm.
Starting point is 00:02:50 There's a show on Netflix called Perfect Match. Did we discuss this on the show yet? I don't think we have, no. It's a, it's, oh, boy. It's like Bachelor Pad, but for Netflix. It's like Bachelor Pad, but for Netflix. It's like, I mean, every network that does a lot of reality TVs does this. A lot of reality TVs.
Starting point is 00:03:10 You know how you have to watch reality TV on your reality TV and not your virtual TV? Just like you have to fill up a computer and throw it away. They have cast members of many shows that Netflix has produced at this point. Mostly Love is Blind. And The Circle. And Too Hot to Handle. And Too Hot to Handle. There's some of The Circle in there too, though.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Notably, there's a couple dudes from The Mole on there. Yeah, those poor guys. Those poor guys bringing The Mole awareness. Everyone else kind of knows each other because I think Netflix arranges like little mixers. But The Mole guys, either because the show was too new or because nobody watched it uh some people watched it i mean we did we watched it um but everybody watched it i
Starting point is 00:03:51 think which was unorthodox for us but when will and uh dom showed up everybody was just going off of like well he looks like he has hair yeah nobody knew anything about them. It's a dating show, except that, like, it's a competitive dating show. It is, like, strategy first. Yeah. So, basic premise, the show starts out, there's five guys and five ladies, and they match up. And then they bring in two people every week who can like sort of break into the other matches. And at the end of each episode, two people go home. But the idea is like you get to be the person who picks who comes in next.
Starting point is 00:04:32 If you win the challenge. Yeah, if you can win a challenge with your partner. So that is really the only incentive to pick a partner that you're compatible with. Well, in love. Well, but there's. There's not much of that on this show. They do dates. Like you can win a date but
Starting point is 00:04:45 the people that win dates the people that already won the challenge so it's not really feeding any additional love yeah um it's very it's entertaining man it's it's trashy is all hell i'm really curious what's i don't know how it's gonna end okay like well i mean who wins how do they win i i've lost track money i don't know that there's is, who wins? How do they win? I've lost track. Is there money? I don't know that there's, is there money? But like, how do they decide which couple wins? Is it a vote?
Starting point is 00:05:09 Like it is on. Whoever kissed the longest. Whoever does the longest, biggest kiss. It's going to be gross. It's a, I mean, it's a gross show. It's a pretty gross show, but it's, I don't know, man. Guilty, guilty pleasure territory. It's, it's, it's, it's hitting all the right notes for me. Do you have a small wonder to do?
Starting point is 00:05:31 This is going to be a complicated thing to say. I got to see some friends in Palm Springs, California. Yeah. And one of our friends was driving, and so she had a little more flexibility on what she could bring. And she brought a bunch of ingredients to make like face masks and scrubs. Fun. And it was just like stuff from around the house, like literal avocados and salt and honey. And I was like, wait, but these are things I can eat and put them on my face. So that's my small wonder is things you can eat. But also put them on your face.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And put on your face is was there any rejuvenative powers to the things you put on your face or was it just a novelty of like i'm gonna have make myself very messy oh my god no although we did use in the kitchen there was a basting brush and so we used that to apply amazing but yeah no definitely the scrub like scrubbed in the and the masks made my my face so soft and shiny i was very impressed excellent yeah a plus that's i don't know that i want food on my face but i'm glad it worked okay should we begin yes do we want to start with the number one the hottest or do we want to work our way up to that? I don't know. Let's not make them wait, man.
Starting point is 00:06:49 I will also say, I don't know if this looks better on a desktop. I'm not actually seeing numbers. I'm just seeing little colored bars. Oh, that's fine. We can do that. So I can kind of guess from the colored bars. Yeah, tens of thousands of votes, I'm guessing, on this one. Hundreds even, maybe.
Starting point is 00:07:08 So there were 637 votes. Okay. Facebook is telling me it was a 2,000 post reach. Oh, hell yeah. I don't know what that means. That's huge, man. That seems like a lot. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:23 I have no idea what that means that's huge man that seems like a lot i don't know i have no idea what reach means so there's there's a few top posts but it looks like number one was uh submitted by ian it is free food in the break room yeah um do you know this does this no i've literally gang never never you've worked in establishments i've worked in establishments they have break rooms sure didn't have fucking free communal snacks i worked in a movie theater where you got like really huge discounts on concessions and so i think they thought like that's that is the that's's the benefit for you. Food was never provided, nor at GameStop ever, never, ever, never. We didn't really have much of a break.
Starting point is 00:08:11 The break room was also like a store room. Yeah, exactly. It was like a chair. It was pretty, pretty small. I'm trying to think, man. Can I speak to you about my experiences? I would love to, because I'm sure you have all kinds. So I have worked, I mean, I'm just going to go back to, let's say 2009.
Starting point is 00:08:28 I worked at an organization that often had like offsite agencies come and use our meeting space. And a lot of times when they would leave, they would leave their extra food. Hell yes. So we would get emails and it would be like a dash, like a literal sprint. We would get an email that said, free breakfast tacos in the kitchen.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Oh, that's good. And you would just hear people just like sprint down the hallway. Like good shit, like taco deli shit, like good stuff? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Oh, man. And the thing was, they never told you how much was there. Okay. At the community college I worked at, every year around Christmas time, HEB would bring in a huge coconut cake.
Starting point is 00:09:10 And it would end up in the big, like, chancellor's office conference room. The big chancellor. The big chancellor. The little chancellor. Come to me, students. The little chancellor got no coconut cake. But yeah, it was like an email that would go out every year. And when I started, I remember people being like, you know, when you see that coconut cake email, you got to go.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Yeah. Because it's not going to last. And it's true. Okay. But yeah, it was a thrill. I used to love it. Especially at my first job I mentioned with the breakfast tacos. A lot of times they would have like lunch meetings and so you'd get like a full box lunch.
Starting point is 00:09:49 That's incredible. That makes your whole day. The only experience I have that is similar to this, I think, is at the church I grew up going to. Every first Sunday of the month, they have what they call Donut Sunday, where somebody would just buy a bunch of jolly pirate donuts and bring it into all the different sunday school classes and let me just say my donut sundae attendance record at church was immaculate just like oh man i'm not feeling well wait is it wait is it the third oh yeah let's go let's go um the other thing i will say that i've always been jealous of is is those like tech companies that like always have free food yeah like they'll have
Starting point is 00:10:30 like a cereal bar and it's just like always full of cereal i so i worked out of the box office of a few times specifically the new york one and i always felt like there was there was a lot of food like on on not food not like you know foie gras but like there were snack snack bars and coffee machine and all this but there was also definitely food there that people had brought and it felt like it felt like it was meant to dissuade outsiders from getting too comfortable in the kitchen because you could make a wrong pickup, wrong chew, and someone would be like,
Starting point is 00:11:06 where did my egg rolls go? You know? So you thought like you would see a container of two egg rolls and you'd be like, oh, this must be free. This must be for everyone. Do you want to keep going along the top ones?
Starting point is 00:11:19 Yeah, for sure. Okay. Cats that burrow under a blanket with you to cuddle. That's good. That's from Sierra. Yeah, I mean, that's a classic. You really can't go wrong with that.
Starting point is 00:11:29 You know what I miss about having a cat is when you would make the bed and the cat would get in and it'd just be this perfect little mound. So you'd be like, where's my cat? And then you'd walk into the bedroom and see this little hill on the sheets. and then you'd walk into the bedroom and see this little hill on the sheets i like when the when our old cat cecil used to sit like on his butt and his back up and so it's just like his yeah his fucking paunch would just kind of like that was the good stuff that was really good but you know you really can't get in there for the all i did every my i i paid for it but it was worth it, man. That was good punch. Another one, I like this one a lot.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Little rainbow makers that hang in the window. We have one of these. Do we still have one of these? Did it commute from Austin? It is somewhere. I don't know where it is. So I mentioned this at some point, I to my friend ariel yeah that i always used to see those little prisms in the windows and think like those must be a thousand dollars yeah because it
Starting point is 00:12:32 looked like a good gemstone to me yeah sure uh and so she ended up buying some at our last house i don't know what happened to him but what we do have now is a little disco ball yes rachel has hung a disco ball in one of our kitchen windows. Yeah, we went to, I'm just gonna, you know what, I'm gonna buzz market because I feel like this is something people wanna know. We went to Five Below and got the little $5 gift little disco ball
Starting point is 00:12:56 and I hung it up and now my kitchen is all. Twice a day for about 25 minutes a day. You get like a little disco going on in there. It's not really a rainbow, but it is like a, like a fun light. My nonny had a bunch of these like glass prism things. I remember being like
Starting point is 00:13:11 very, very entranced by them. There weren't a lot of toys. There weren't toys there whenever we would like visit her in Florida, but there were glass prisms that I could just sort of. Why should I be forced to wait
Starting point is 00:13:23 for it to rain to get a rainbow? Right? You know? Sometimes you don't even get one then bring the rainbow to me bring the rainbow to rachel right now um and here's now from here on out it's kind of i mean it's a hodgepodge i will say uh this one was sent in by cla. When the first sip of tea is the perfect temperature to warm me up and I haven't forgotten it until it's fully lukewarm.
Starting point is 00:13:51 That's, I mean, I'll extend this to our friend coffee. Yeah. We're not, we like, we acknowledge tea. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:58 You know, like I accept tea. Yeah, no, tea is welcome. That's putting it. Is that too much? Tea is welcome when, when sickness is happening habit i think maybe i've just equated tea with illness too much and now i can't enjoy it
Starting point is 00:14:13 healthy that's why that's definitely why not because it tastes bad most of the time uh but man yeah that sweet spot for coffee we do a lot especially in the afternoon of making coffee yeah with the intention of just making it across the finish line yeah and then it will sit and it will sit and it's too late yeah and then it's cold coffee but uh but if you can get in there in that perfect window that's the good stuff it's beautiful uh this one's from Christine. When an old favorite song slash album still gets you hyped. Sure. I mean, this still works for you with like, oh gosh, what am I thinking of the band right now? LCD Sound System. Oh yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Definitely gets you hyped. LCD Sound System, Justice. Honestly, most Daft there's i could think of a lot of sort of uh pumper jams that get me going a lot of soundtracks you know uh-huh you ever get pumped up to soundtracks oh uh yes that that movie dope yes that had a lot of jams on it i used to like that well hold on is that a i'm talking about like a score oh it's a less a like collection of uh what you mean like a jurassic park yeah i get pumped up to the jurassic park theme that's exactly right i don't know um uh here's another one uh from james unexpectedly large icicles you were really excited about this one yesterday Here's another one from James. Unexpectedly large icicles. You were really excited about this one yesterday.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Right? Am I wrong about that? I do like an unexpectedly large icicle. Yeah. It's always remarkable to me. Like if I see one of these, I got to point it out to somebody. Yeah. Or grab it and use it like a little telescope. I remember seeing somebody do that on a cartoon once.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Probably Ice Age or something like that. It sounds right. And I thought like, that's cool. You ever eat an icicle? Yeah. It's the best. Grossest probably thing you could. I mean, it's drippings.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Depending on what it's stripped off of, right? Yeah. Like obviously not a wheel well on a car. Yeah. I remember there was a Grey's Anatomy episode where somebody got a pretty bad boo-boo from an icicle fall down. Yeah, that's the only thing you know about that show that's not true i watched the first like four seasons oh okay uh and then it made me think of at again to come back
Starting point is 00:16:34 to our church uh the exit that went out to like the parking lot or everybody parked it was like behind this alley in our church it was just a like straight up wall just like a three-story tall wall that just like just went right across and there was no i don't know if there were no gutters or like how one prevents this but it was a it was a death trap like if you went out there in the winter you would just and waited long enough you would just see an icicle come crashing down to the ground or when you came out after like the sun had come out the you would just, and waited long enough, you would just see an icicle come crashing down to the ground. Or when you came out after, like, the sun had come out, the ground would just be littered with
Starting point is 00:17:09 shattered icicles. Ooh, that's another small wonder. I guess so, yeah. A lot of super happy church memories, guys. I got them in droves, y'all. Can I read one that has currently no votes? I would love to hear an unpopular opinion
Starting point is 00:17:27 here's the thing i think it's only unpopular because i think a lot of people don't know what this is or that the voting took place on like the first day this poll went up and maybe it and people stopped this is from britney it says candle that smells like oreos that's cool i don't know if she's trying to will this into existence or if this i almost like it better if that is the case that it doesn't exist yeah she's just like wouldn't this be wonderful that would be a fun also new segment on the show of a perspective a perspective wonder oh yeah we get some some future site or or some like a startup that just makes the things that we want you ruined it you ruined it just then should we take a break let's take a break they were having a lot of fun too much fun
Starting point is 00:18:11 here let's cool it cool our jets a moment and uh steal us away If you have trouble falling asleep, try sleeping with celebrities. Tell me about your view of succulents. I'm not a huge fan. It's a different kind of sleep podcast. There are some real benefits to parking illegally. Featuring remarkable guests and unremarkable topics. There's two Orlando airports. From the creator of Depress Mode with John Moe.
Starting point is 00:18:54 It's sleeping with celebrities. Every week on Maximum Fun. Nighty Night Sleepyheads. Hi, I'm Jesse Thorne, the founder of Maximum Fun. Nighty night, sleepyheads. was a fresh insult. A depraved jumble of erection jokes, ghost humor, and frankly, this is for the best, very little actionable advice. But now, as they enter their twilight years, I'm as surprised as anyone to admit that it's gotten kind of good. Justin, Travis, and Griffin's witticisms are more refined, like a humor column in a fancy magazine.
Starting point is 00:19:44 And they hardly ever say bazinga anymore. So, after you've completely finished listening to every single one of all of our other shows, why not join the McElroy Brothers every week for My Brother, My Brother and Me? There's probably some stuff on there that we don't know anything about right uh i don't know that we don't know anything about but we've never really considered or we've never really noticed i think that's why we do this yeah so this one was sent in by liz when i replace the paper towel tube and the new one makes a beautiful chromatic scale in response
Starting point is 00:20:23 to being forced down over the dowel. What kind of? I don't know what kind of paper towel holder would do that. Would make sound, would make music. I do like putting a new roll of paper towels, especially if it's like one of those like springy ones. That's fun. But I don't know about a. A chromatic scale.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Yeah. Okay, this is another perspective small wonder. The musical paper towel holder i think i imagine maybe maybe if we looked it up on youtube we could we could find one um another one is chromatic scale just the full scale is that what that is i don't know full like octave of major notes i don't't know. It's been like 20 years since I've been involved in music in any way. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Here's another one that doesn't have votes. Again, very specific. It says getting to be a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding in a few days. I love that. So, I mean, a lot of people are like, well, I have maybe been a bridesmaid, but I don't have a wedding in a few days.
Starting point is 00:21:23 I miss weddings. I know, me too. Especially now that we have kids that would dance on the dance floor. It'd be really cute. maybe been a bridesmaids but i don't have a wedding in a few days i miss weddings i know me too especially now that we have kids that would dance on the dance floor be really cute would be dang we should say though like we don't have a p.o box anymore so yeah we can't accept i always didn't enjoy getting wedding invites wedding invitations but yes we don't we don't have one of those here um i've got a little pear here. One sent by Catherine, one sent by Jay. Oh, I thought you were saying a little pear. I thought you were saying one of the submissions was a little pear.
Starting point is 00:21:53 A juicy, green, delicious, tiny, sweet little pear. No, Catherine said warm bath. Jay said warm bed. Not at the same time. Do you like a warm bed? Do you like a warm bed? Do I like a warm bed? No. I don't like to get in and have it be warm.
Starting point is 00:22:11 I do like the resulting warm. I like to get warm in a bed. I don't like to stay warm. What does that mean? It means I'll, so if it's cold in our room, my tech is I'll get in the bed with sheet and a comforter and then once i've like elevated the temperature under the sheet i remove the comforter and then it's just me and the heat that i've i've generated there it's interesting because you used to be a no sheet guy
Starting point is 00:22:39 i feel like but that was just because i was dirty. It was just more stuff to not wash. I saw somebody post on Twitter, and it seemed a little bit like everybody was maybe playing along, but the guy was like, oh, I only wash my sheets every two to three days. Do you think that's okay? And everyone's like, yeah, I don't go more than two days. And I was like, really?
Starting point is 00:23:04 That's goofs. No way. That's goofs, Eddie. What is your life like? What kind of stuff does your body make that every two days you're like, I've befouled this entire sheet? I mean, clean sheets are fantastic. They're great. But who's got the time to do sheet laundry every 48 hours?
Starting point is 00:23:26 Somebody that has more than one set of sheets. Here's the problem with us. We really only at any given time have one set of sheets. We only have one bed. So to take them off, it's a real race against the clock. Yeah. Here is another one that I didn't know existed. It's sent in by Caitlin. Twix flavored coffee creamer.
Starting point is 00:23:49 I have to be honest with you. I don't love zany coffee creamers. I need to have this conversation with my family because sometimes I come in town and they have zany coffee creamers. I don't know if it's for me. I love a i love a straight over the plate hazelnut coffee mate we should talk about this because whenever i do groceries i always get you hazelnut there's got to be something else out there for you though right no uh no because i've tried french vanilla in a pinch like if they're out of hazelnut what about like a caramel no i don't know i don't want it to be i find a lot of coffee creamers to be pretty cloying right and hazelnut is just like it gives a little nutty i feel like
Starting point is 00:24:33 it enhances the coffee flavor it doesn't overwrite it okay you know what i mean yeah no i see what you're saying i'm sort of a coffee purist sort of a coffee snob over here. Hazelnut does have kind of an inherent coffee-ness to it, which I feel like, I see what you're saying. In my brain, that's what coffee tastes like. And so when I put in like a thin mint flavored one, that's too out there, man. That's too zany, too nutty. Although.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Although hazelnut is, yes. Here is one that, it surprised me how many votes it got because I personally can't relate to it. It is from Casey. Watching the neighborhood squirrels eat the corn we throw out for them. Yeah. Multiple people voted on that. Is this a thing? Is this a common practice?
Starting point is 00:25:22 Yeah, it's called corn toss. We do it. We did it at West Virginia growing up all the time. Uh-huh. Like save some corn for the squirrels. And we do corn toss. And then they get in the yard. I would like to see a little squirrel holding a piece of corn though.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Sure, good. Or half a cob. Just like. No, that's good too. That's really good. Yeah, they get really wound up about it. One of these is particularly poignant for me. It's set in by Emily.
Starting point is 00:25:48 It's just cheese. Yeah. Why is that poignant, do you think? Well, because I just made a return to cheese. A return to yourself. Hmm. You were always right there, weren't you? You and cheese.
Starting point is 00:26:04 Yeah. You were always right there, weren't you? You and cheese. Yeah. I had a, well, so those of you know that both of our sons had the same cow's milk protein allergy, which meant while I was breastfeeding, I wasn't able to consume anything with cow's milk. And so I didn't have dairy at all. Yeah. And then I've just started to dip my toe back in.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Dip your toe is a fun way of putting it. In a big way. I would say you've jumped, splashed right, dang dong, right into it. I've made some real mistakes. Yeah, man. It's kind of like,
Starting point is 00:26:37 you know, I really lost my tolerance over the many, many months. Yeah. And you can't go back to the way you were. We both, and I'm along with you. Yeah, true. And I don't need to be on this fucking journey at all.
Starting point is 00:26:50 It is ill-advised. We have eaten lasagna for the past two meals. Yeah. We had dinner lasagna, and then we had leftover lunchtime lasagna. I feel bad right now. My body feels bad. I'm sorry that I brought you along for this. It's fun. It's fun. I feel bad. My body feels bad.
Starting point is 00:27:07 I'm sorry that I brought you along for this. It's fun. It's fun. I appreciated your partnership in the no cheese times. Of course. Yeah. Although you didn't. Rachel makes pizza every couple weeks or so, I would say. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:17 And we were using this, or you were using this. Was it? I don't. Maybe we shouldn't say the name of the brand. Yeah. But it was good. It was good. We would eat it and I'd be like, yum pizza and then you were like hey i'm gonna make it
Starting point is 00:27:28 with real cheese this time i tried it it reminded me of the parks and rec episode where ron swanson and chris trager have a burger yes and chris trager puts all this like fancy sort of stuff on it and ron swanson just gives them a plain beef burger uh ketchup optional and they like it's better how how many more do you think we have time for uh maybe a couple more okay uh this one was sent in by amy animals doing a big lot of eyes stretch yes this is sort of again cats uh are the best at this i think yeah i mean dogs dogs stretch yeah but not enough but the. I've been talking to them about that. They are going to hurt themselves.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Here is one, again, that I was surprised had so many votes. Maybe people just liked the enthusiasm. This one was feeding the crows, who now recognize me. Crows are like that, huh? I feel like I know. Do they know? Yeah, I feel like I know a lot about crows just because like people they're very they're smart aren't they're very receptive to human
Starting point is 00:28:31 beings okay and they know how to sort of like collab with us and that excites me um pigeons too man pigeons are so smart do you know about that they can like fly i was reading like a i don't know about that animals fact book to henry and it was like pigeons can find their way home from like a thousand miles away it's crazy man i mean you don't care about well there's the carrier pigeon actually now that you mention it yeah i've heard of that as a thing yeah uh this one i was actually interested so there were some comments on this poll. And one of them really elaborated on one of the wonders that somebody mentioned, which was squishmallows. Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:15 You familiar with these guys? I think Henry has a couple. Yeah, we got some for Henry. I think they're adorable. And I was kind of hoping Henry would be more into them, but he's not. They're adorable. And I was kind of hoping Henry would be more into them, but he's not. But somebody commented and said that they seem to work better than a lot of orthopedic pillows. Just because of the right consistency.
Starting point is 00:29:34 That's interesting. You know? That's interesting. I'll have to experiment. You want to try one of those between your knees? Yeah, I would love that. That would be great. As long as Henry doesn't ever ask for it back.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Get this corgi that's just bent at a 90 degree angle now. With like a little like well where the stomach was. This one, I mean, we've got a lot about animals, maybe unsurprisingly. Yeah. I can just go through some of them quickly. Emily sent in little cat noses yeah love those uh laura sent in dog slash cat snoring okay it's another another good thing the snoring actually is really snoring is pretty great it's pretty great you know what else is good little
Starting point is 00:30:18 kids snoring that's fun too because that means they're asleep i like that sometimes we'll hear one of our kids snoring over the monitor and it's like yes he's not waking up anytime soon yeah that's true although i don't know we've had we've had so many like nasal issues it always makes me nervous like oh they're gonna be up like a hundred times now why don't we close out with one last showstopper. One that's going to really knock my socks off. This one was sent in by Jennifer. Saw my first
Starting point is 00:30:51 dandelion. What do you think that means? Wow. Maybe Jennifer lives in an area where dandelions are not native to. Is that possible? Like Antarctica.
Starting point is 00:31:09 I wondered if maybe it was like I saw my first dandelion of the season. Oh, that's interesting. We got a lot of posts that were like, you know, signs that things are growing now that it's almost spring. Nature is healing. I saw a dandelion. I love a dandelion. Me too. You ever had dandelion greens? Yeah, I think so. I saw a dandelion. I love a dandelion. Me too. You ever had dandelion greens?
Starting point is 00:31:27 Yeah, I think so. I mean, not by themselves. They're not very good. No. But they look cool. Well, and they're like a fun little thing in a meal, you know? Yeah. If you go to a restaurant and they put a few of them on there.
Starting point is 00:31:39 We used to do a thing when we were kids where we would take the heads of dandelions and we would rub them against people's arms and and skin and it just leaves like a yellow streak on them. And we would laugh that it looked like pee. But that doesn't make any, pee doesn't leave like a colorful trace on your skin when you touch it. I don't go around touching a lot of pee, I mean, but it's not like physically. It doesn't have the same
Starting point is 00:32:07 sort of like properties as a dandelion does. You want to talk some more about pee? Is that there? I don't think so. Can I reserve the right to circle back on that?
Starting point is 00:32:20 Okay. This has been wonderful. Wonderfulpodcast at gmail.com. Send in your listeners submissions. We're going to do one or two of them at the end of the episodes now. And I'm looking forward to getting back to it. Unless we forget.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Unless we forget, which is entirely possible. But mostly we won't. Most of the time we won't. Sometimes we won't. Starting point is 00:33:20 as the Blues game that we had tickets to here, which is a real heartbreaker. Yeah, there was some real disappointment. Scheduling snafu is what we'll call it. I don't know that that would be the most fun game to watch at this point anyways. Fair, total free fall with the St. Louis Blues organization right now.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Total dive right now. I didn't know, there's a lot of trading happening this year yes i don't really understand why do you it has to do with salary cap it has to do is that different this year than previous years they have uh they didn't have very much wiggle room and a lot of the dudes that uh had the biggest salaries were dramatically underperforming yeah well i know that's true with st louis but it's just it's happening throughout the whole league uh yeah i don't know i i haven't i don't know that i'm that well versed in hockey to to have like sometimes
